Every time I see that "systems aren't opressed" take I just. Holy fuck. How do you even get that disconnected from the actual material reality of the society we all have to live under? And proclaim it so confidently?

I am a system, I am plural. It is not a disorder. If I was fully open about this, here in the UK, I would likely get sectioned. I would be detained and sent to a hospital and kept there for who fucking knows how long. I would likely be forced off most, if not all, of my medications. I would not be allowed to medically transition anymore.

This is ableism - Systemhood is not considered neurotypical. It is not considered sane.

Stop being so caught up in your online spaces that you completely forget the actual world out there that a lot of us have to exist in.

I know it's a nuanced topic and any breed of dog can be dangerous but every time I see people scare mongering about german shepards I think about the first time I took mine to a dog park and how she was having a blast UNTIL she saw that there was a like, barely 1 y/o mastiff in there, and despite how badly that poor guy wanted to be her friend she had absolutely no idea how to process the very new information that there exist dogs who are bigger than her, and spent the entire time we were there standing on a picnic table looking desperately confused and occasionally whining at me to help her.

Cause & Effect

Angry Palestinians didn’t wake up one day and form Hamas for no reason, so stop pretending they’re 100% at fault and acknowledge why they formed in the first place.

This didn’t start recently or even the last couple decades— try 8, minimally, the moment the allies marched into Palestine and took land away to form Israel. That’s right, took it against the Palestinians will, like the colonizers they are. To countries like the U.S. & UK such an act isn’t seen as wrong despite being internationally recognized as such.

That would make any indigenous people’s angry, right? Let’s ask the Native Americans or maybe every African country, India, Jamaica & other Caribbean countries, Māori of Australia & New Zealand, Polynesian countries, Philippines, Hawaiians, etc.

To add insult to injury, the UN doesn’t even recognize Palestine as a true country, yet Israel is. Israel has been the aggressor, breaching the border treaty with no backlash by the world, the UN turning a blind eye for 80 years as Israel confiscates more of their land. The Palestinians were literally forced to fight back, yet we label them the bad guy. Hamas is dangerous and needs to be stopped, but stop acting like they did this for no good reasons. You wanna get angry, look to Israel and the allies who started this 80 years ago. The western countries need to stop acting like they’re gods who rule this earth.
