I do actually have a demon oc for Obey Me that i have never pulled out, but his name is Caio (pronounced "kye-oh") derived from the demon named Caim, a prince of hell) and he is a lust demon. His archetype is a blackbird as a result of that, but don't ever ask him where his "wings" are. (They are actually very tiny and when he goes demon mode you literally can't see them because they are under his shirt....)
He is almost a sloth/lust hybrid tbh because his form of "lust" is very relaxed and more nonchalant like, "Well, we all got genitals so might as well 💦💖"
Spend too long in a convo with him and you're gonna get casually propositioned. It's like a handshake to this beetch. Takes rejection like a champ. Picture Jack Harkness from Doctor Who. Caio is attracted to everyone and everything, so if you ever think no one could ever find you sexy I GOT NEWS FOR YOU, this boy does. He thinks every single one of the MCs is adorable, 10/10 would bang. Only issue comes if he develops the fee-fees for you because he doesn't know WTF is happening to him and he suddenly keen to make sure everyone knows you are his, that he satisfies you and no one can compete with him as a lover/boyfriend. Lowkey possessive, mostly out of a weird mix of confusion, fear of losing you and then shame over said fear.
Anyway here are some picrews because lord knows I can't draw FOR SHITTTT (but I can write, so yay).

Namjoon always thought that he lived a pretty simple life. An ordinary, boring, normal life. There was nothing much about him. He was a simple man, doing his job, pretending to be just as functioning in the real life, rather staying home alone than anything else. Sometimes he had whined about wanting an adventure, wanting something exciting. And meeting Yoongi was his little adventure.
Only now it turned into something different.
Painfully different.
The spasm that shook his body slowly ebbed down, leaving him to be a quivering mess. His eyes staring up at the ceiling wide open. And if it wasn’t for the little painful gasps coming from him one could think he was dead. But he wasn’t. And he could feel that. Way too much. His whole body was on fire.
“Take off your clothes!” When Namjoon didn’t react Yoongi yelled at him again. “Take off your clothes now!” He ran back to his shelves in a hurry gripping anything that he could reach and that was potentially purifying; sage, some rose water, clear crystal and more salt. He put everything in an empty bowl and ran back to Namjoon who was still on the floor with his shirt only halfway off his body. The witch kneeled down in front of him, ripping the cloth clean off him. “I’m sorry, but this has to be.” Namjoon felt like he had lost complete control over his own body. Everything just hurt and then Yoongi was screaming at him. “Wh-what,” His words were slurred, the pain making it worse for him to concentrate as everything felt like he wasn’t experiencing it, but it was just a shell of him. Namjoon did what Yoongi ask of him nonetheless, at least his pants now that his shirt was ripped. He didn’t care anyways. The pain was way too much, and he felt helpless, like a puppet on strings.
Luckily Namjoon let him do as he pleased and soon enough he found where the curse had entered Namjoon’s body. It had burned Namjoon’s right palm and there was already a black streak going up his wrist. Yoongi was both relieved and horrified at that sight, because it made him sick to his stomach to see Namjoon like this, so vulnerable and hurt while on the other hand they had both been lucky. If the curse had entered Namjoon through his chest he would have been dead within a minute. This way Yoongi had at least some time. Until the streak would reach Namjoons heart and kill him, just like blood poisoning would. He desperately turned Namjoons arm around and piled everything from the bowl on top of it, the salt mixed with the rosewater had become a paste that he covered the streak and burns with and the crystal and everything else came on top. The streak didn’t grow further - but it also didn’t fade. Which meant that the curse was very much intact and very much lethal. Yoongi sighed, curling up and hiding his face in his arm, while still pressing his hands on Namjoons mark as if it would make a difference if he just kept trying. “I’m sorry, Namjoon! Shit, I’m so sorry!”
Namjoon looked at Yoongi in a mixture of shock and confusion, the pain only a dull feeling in the background right now. “Wh-at happened? Are you okay, Yoongi?” He asked him with a shaky voice and turned to look where Yoongi was pressing his hand achingly onto his wrist. “What is it? What…whats…” Rubbing his temples at the side of his head, Namjoon groaned – only then he opened his eyes and pulled his hand away from Yoongi. There was an ugly burn on his palm, black streaks growing underneath his skin and up his wrist. His heart was beating fast, too fast sending him straight into a panic attack. “N-no-no, what is that?” Namjoon screamed out in panic, “Why were you? What happened? Tell me what happened now!! Who are you!”
Yoongi laughed with teary eyes as Namjoon asked him if he was okay. He had majorly fucked up and just attacked Namjoon, a nice and innocent bystander, someone he actually liked, with a blood curse far too deadly to put it on one single person. And Namjoon, half naked and cursed and in pain asked him if he was okay! Then the shock seemed to wear off though and the other realized that something bad had happened to him. Yoongi could understand all too well that Namjoon was freaking out but he needed to calm him back down before this would go even more south.
“I’ll explain! I promise I’ll explain just.. let’s get you dressed again and then I’ll go make some tea and we can sit down and… and…” His voice broke but he forced himself through it, “…then I’ll explain. Everything.”
Namjoon was breathing heavily, shaking his head as he got up and dressed. “I don’t need tea. I need you to get rid of…” A sudden flood of pain made him fall onto his knees, holding onto his wrist desperately. His hands were shaking but then he saw it. How the streaks were growing, running up his lower arm slowly, forcing their way through his veins and tinting it black. “Make it…make it stop,” Namjoon’s voice sounded out of breath. “Calm down, you need to calm down, please!” The curse would be growing anyways but the more distressed Namjoon became and the worse he felt the easier it would be for the darkness to eat him up. Yoongi took Namjoon’s head in his hold, gentle turning him towards him. “Look at me. I am so, so very sorry but I can’t make it stop now. I can make it stop hurting. With tea. So, will you please follow me back to the kitchen area? I’ll explain and you will be able to stand again and just... just don’t look at it now. It won’t kill you now. Just... don’t freak out. Please.”
Namjoon only hesitantly followed Yoongi, not sure if he could trust him anymore right now. Whoever it had been in front of him, who pushed him up the wall so forcefully and without even touching him wasn’t his sweet Yoongi, the one he wanted to talk to all night. A shiver ran down his spine. But thinking about it wouldn’t help him much either and he desperately needed something to ease the pain. In the kitchen area, Namjoon sat down onto a chair right away. His knees would have given out on him.
Yoongi turned his back to Namjoon while he prepared the tea and he was thankful that it gave him some time to collect himself and think about what he was about to say. His fingers were shaking. Inside, he was freaking out just as much as Namjoon was. The only difference was that he couldn’t afford to. Not only was he about to out himself as a witch (this alone would be worth having a breakdown over as it was a violation of the rules and if the Guards of Magic would find out it was reason enough to take his powers from him) but he also more or less had to tell the other that he accidentally cursed him and that if he didn’t find a solution to that ‘problem’ it would result in a very slow, very painful death.
Namjoon hated the silence. He was letting a finger soothe over the now black skin, eyeing the burn warily. There were one too many questions and no answer to any of them. Was he a demon? Was that even possible? There were no such things right? Or were they? “Yoongi,” His voice was quiet, “Please, just tell me what happened now.” He shivered, feeling all too cold, while he was sitting there with his ripped shirt and painfully aching wound. Yoongi turned, placing the cups in front of Namjoon, his face carefully crafted into a mask of control. “The short version is, I was in midst of a spell when you came in and fucked up my concentration, so the magic hit you instead of its real aim.” He flinched a little at how accusing this sounded. “Now I have to find a cure before it kills you.” Yoongi took his tea, not caring that the cup was hot enough to burn his fingers. At least it gave him something to hold onto. “Any more questions?”
Namjoon paled visibly, closing his eyes for a second to help him understand what Yoongi had just told him. “Wait…what? A spell? I’m…I’m going to die?” He raked a hand through his hair desperately, then his eyes widened once more, looking at Yoongi in a fear of mixture and disbelief, “Who…who were you trying to kill? Me? Yoongi! What…what are you?” He jumped up from his chair, his heart beating fast against its cage, ready to jump out any second. But not because of joy, but because of fear.
Yoongi tried to stay calm and appear absolutely unassailable for Namjoon to believe in him - and hopefully not attack him with a kitchen knife or something like fire. He wasn’t really trying to find out if he would be quick enough to protect himself with magic despite his shaken state. “No, you won’t die. I will find a cure. You will be fine. After I’ve healed you I promise you that you can get as much healing cream or anti headache herbs as you like. For free. I wasn’t trying to kill anyone. This…” He hesitated, “It’s complicated. It was an order placed from a customer I know. It wasn’t finished and wasn’t supposed to be used for one person. You just got... bad luck. Again, I guess.” He took another sip from his tea, trying to put it as harmless as possible. “I’m Yoongi, who lives here with his cat. And I also happen to be a witch.”
It was just all too much for Namjoon. He stumbled back until he hit the wall and slid down, burying his face in his palms. “J-just bad luck,” Namjoon mumbled, “A witch…a witch?” He could feel the headache throbbing behind his eyes and he leaned his head back for a while, taking a few deep breaths to calm himself down. “You’re not a bad witch, are you?” Namjoon spoke up after a while, looking up at Yoongi through tear-filled eyes. He hadn’t touched his tea, yet. Too scared. Too frightened.
Yoongi got up and carefully walked closer to Namjoon, holding his hands up in defense so the other wouldn’t be scared. “No, I am not a bad witch.” Right now, wasn’t the time or place to tell him that he was neither a ‘good’ or ‘bad’ one but mingling with both sides. “You don’t have to fear me. If I hadn’t... if this hadn’t happened… I would have never hurt you. Nor did I have any intentions to do so. It just went horribly, horribly wrong and I understand that you are scared and hurting but please don’t run off. You need to trust me when I say that without me you won’t get out of this alive. And I will do anything it takes to make sure you can one day look back and laugh about this, hm?” He carefully, very gently placed a hand on Namjoon’s arm.
“Won’t get out of this alive,” Namjoon repeated and chuckled low, rubbing over his eyes to get rid of the tears and leaving them all red. “So, I can’t go home…,” He looked up at the witch, “Are you sure you can reverse it? Is there a way you know of? How much time do we have? I…I…don’t want to die, Yoongi.” He reached out for him, holding onto his hands tightly and pulling Yoongi a bit closer with it. “It feels like I’m on fire.”
It pierced through his heart to see Namjoon so broken. What had he done? Or rather what the hell was he doing now? There was no way he could promise the other that he would  get out of this unharmed. Even if he tried everything in his power - it might still be not enough. “No, you shouldn't go home alone. I can take better care of you here. I can make sure the pain won’t get too strong or unbearable. If… if the curse behaves unusual or something changes I can act on it right away. Also, I will take you with me to some of my colleagues for them to have a look at you. And one of them will have the answer. Or at least lead us to it. I’m certain of it.” He wasn’t. But he needed Namjoon to hope. Because hope could be even more potent than a spell. He wished Hobi was here to help him through this.
“Okay,” It was the only thing Namjoon managed to say right now. His head was throbbing from the pain and he only warily drank the first sip of tea when Yoongi offered it him once more. It was quiet. Very quiet between them. Because Namjoon had to process everything that just happened.
Yoongi is a witch.
He cursed him.
Not on purpose. Just bad luck.
“Can you...can you give me a minute?” Namjoon could barely look at Yoongi right now. He needed a moment to calm himself, to get the pieces together and figure something out. There was hope. Yoongi said he would help him and there were people, friends...probably witches, who knew more about it. His heart pace picked up and Namjoon smiled warily at Yoongi, “Please?” When Yoongi finally gave in to his plead, Namjoon let out the breath he was holding.
On the other side of the shop, Hobi was just hopping back up the stairs but the second he stepped into the shop he stopped, sniffing the air. Hobi jumped aside right away, hiding behind a few piled up books, puffing out his fur in a defense mode. Only when he saw Yoongi walking out of the backroom, visibly distressed but unharmed did he come out and ran over to him right away. “What’s wrong? Something happened, right? Yoongi are you okay? I told you to concentrate!” Hobi sniffed the air once more, because from here he could smell something else. Something dark. And something sweet mixed with a dark musk. How Namjoon always smelled to him. “Oh no,” He meowed, looking at Yoongi, “Tell me he isn’t here, and he has nothing to do with the heavy smell of dark magic around?”
Yoongi kneeled down immediately and just wordlessly hugged the cat to his chest. “I fucked up, Hobi.” His voice was choked with tears. He had tried to keep it together for Namjoon but at the sight of his familiar his walls started to crumble. “I was in midst of the spell and then Namjoon came in because I forgot to close the door and it... it ended up on him. Hobi, I’m scared he’s going to die! Because of me! He’s the first human in a long time that I liked enough to get involved with him and... and for liking me back I might have given him a painful and horrible death in return. I’m a mess, Hobi! I shouldn’t… shouldn’t even be allowed to do magic anymore if I can’t even keep it from spilling where it’s not supposed to be!” He cried silently; his face buried in Hoseok’s fluffy fur.
The cat put up his paws against the humans chest to look at his owner thoroughly, “Y-you cursed him? Oh no, Yoongi.” Nuzzling his soft little nose in Yoongi’s neck, then rubbed his face against his cheek to try and soothe him. He licked him softly, carefully until Yoongi’s cries ebbed down a little. “You won’t let him die,” He meowed hopeful, “You are the best damn witch around. He will be okay. Do you know which spell it was? And the effects? How does it show on Namjoon? Can I see him?” Hobi was giving Yoongi a few more soft kisses with his nose, “We’ll find something.”
“The spell was only half finished so it’s basically… nothing I can work with. It’s like… trying to make a cake and accidentally throwing everything together without measuring properly. You can’t separate it or put it back into the containers you can... just put it in the oven and see what will happen. And then try to figure out what you created. It was supposed to curse someone that hurt a friend of mine - and his kin, if he didn’t change his way of living. So, the effects would have been bad luck, bad karma, he would have been accident prone and be the one to get into uncomfortable situations, get the cold whenever it was going around, break his new phone, stuff like that. But I was scared when Namjoon came in and I hadn’t properly bound the energy, so it lashed out at him, trying to eliminate the threat. It poisoned his blood and as it is way too much for one person it will eat him alive. It will weaken his spirit. He might feel the darkness as it is so concentrated in him now. It might pull the horrors of his childhood to his consciousness or create new nightmares especially for him. It might wake all his darkest urges and deepest fears and make him act on it - or just completely eat his self-control which will turn him into a mess of emotions and desires. Or he might just fall into darkness and despair, loose his mind, lose control over his body. Or simply die from shock and pain. I have no idea what to do, Hoseok. I can brew some purification and cleansing potions that will dampen the negative effects, but this is too strong to just be wiped away by something easy. I used strong black magic so I either need someone who can work really pure white magic - or find someone who knows his way around dark magic more than I do and can nullify my mess. Like some kind of sponge or vampire spell that sucks everything cursed out of his system? I don’t know Hobi, I’m really out of my depth here.”
Hoseok nudged Yoongi’s cheek one last time before looking at him again in earnest, “Don’t leave Namjoon’s side then. He knows you’re a witch now. Probably been a lot for him.” He scrambled off Yoongi’s arms and meowed for him to follow. “You have a few friends, right? As much as I don’t like it…maybe we’ll find something stronger on the black market? Herbs with stronger effects against dark magic. Maybe some protection spell for the rest of his body? So, we slow down the process for as long as we need it?” Hoseok trotted along, his eyes focused as he turned the corner while talking to Yoongi, who was just stumbling after him. Namjoon was still on the floor, an empty tea cup next to him while he was just staring at his wrist, looking up when he heard the familiar tapping of paws on the floor. Hobi stopped and turned to look at Yoongi, “Let me soothe him, while you brew something together and pack the things we need for our little trip. Don’t forget to hide the smell of human on him. I don’t want to stumble into one of the guards of magic just because we smuggled a human. Maybe Jungkook knows something? We just need to be careful…and we have to start now.” The cat meowed once more, carefully walking closer to Namjoon but to his own surprise, the human lifted him up right away and brought him on his chest.
Yoongi opened his mouth to explain to Namjoon that Hoseok was his familiar and wanted to keep him company while he was doing whatever he had to, to make this easier for Namjoon but the other lifted Hobi up as if it was exactly what he needed. Maybe telling him that Hobi was in on this mess wasn’t that great of an idea… he could always spill the tea later. “I’ll leave you alone then.. if you want to sleep you can take my bed or the couch, whatever you feel more comfortable with. I’ll make more…tea.” Better not to tell him that he was brewing spells and potions after Namjoon had barely dared to drink actually tea. “We’ll leave tomorrow morning, as early as we can. If you need to call anyone you can use my phone and if you’re hungry or need anything else I’ll make sure you’re cared for. I promise you; I’ll do my very best to resolve this as quickly as I can. You’ll be fine. And again, I’m really sorry I brought you into this.” Then he quickly turned and left before Namjoon could say anything else that would break his self-control again.
Namjoon’s eyes followed Yoongi as he retreated again, listening to the sounds of him rummaging around in his little kitchen. He was surprised about how sad the witch was looking, how defeated he sounded. He really must be sorry, Namjoon thought to himself and turned to look at Hobi, who had made himself comfortable in his lap.
“I only wanted to ask when his lunch break would be, honestly. How can one person be so unlucky, hm?” Namjoon was talking to himself quietly, caressing over Hobi’s fur softly, “I guess he really didn’t try to hurt me, right? It was just…a mistake.” He looked at his wrist, the black pulsating under his skin – but it didn’t grow further. A soft, wet feel shook him out of his stupor, when he noticed the cat licking him. “Hobi, what am I supposed to do now? Is he good? Can he make this go away? Is he a good witch?” He lifted the cat to look at it more closely, nuzzling his face into his thick fur for a moment, “Did you know he is a witch? Also, what does he mean? His bed? Or couch? But I don’t even know where he lives…I’ve never seen a couch in his shop.” Namjoon was thinking out loud, sighing deeply as he scratched the cat behind his ears, “I guess we make ourselves comfortable here then.”
But Hoseok jumped up.
Leave it to Yoongi to be so out of his mind to not even tell Namjoon that his real apartment was on top of the shop. He hadn’t told Namjoon before because he wanted to keep his privacy but now after Namjoon knew his biggest secret Hobi figured he couldn’t be mad if he showed Namjoon the bedroom. So, he got up ready to walk Namjoon to it, but the human just looked disappointed that Hobi had left his place and continued to curl himself up into a ball. Even he as a cat felt uncomfortable watching and he liked curling up on the floor. With his fluffy tail up in the air Hobi ran back, scratching on Namjoon’s sleeve until the other lifted his arm. “Hey, what are you doing?” Hobi ignored him and kept scratching until Namjoon sat back up. Then he took a few more steps into the direction of the door and turned, meowing for Namjoon to follow.
Namjoon furrowed his brows in confusion, wiping over his eyes with what was left of his sweater paw as he stood up. Was the cat trying to communicate with him?
“Wait…you want me to follow you?” The human stumbled along to see if that was right, that Hoseok understood him and wanted to show him something. To his own surprise, the cat didn’t lead him to the fridge to get more treats or a can of tuna for him but outside the shop and to a small staircase leading to what seemed like Yoongi’s apartment. Watching the cat meow and jump up the stairs, Namjoon quickly followed him  coming to a halt in front of the door. “Hobi? How? Do you…do you understand what I am saying?” He looked down at the cat and cocked his head to the side, “Is the door open? Or is there a magic spell that will curse me even more?”
Hobi decided not to nod and freak out Namjoon while he was standing on a small spiral staircase. Not even Yoongi could piece him back together if he fell down and break his neck. So instead he just slipped in through the cat door and then got up on his paws to open the door from the inside. It swung open and he could look right at Namjoon’s confused face. Pleased with himself he scuttled along, happily leading Namjoon to the couch where the Tv was (in case Namjoon wanted to watch something to distract himself) and curling into a proud ball of fluff on top of a velvet cushion.
Namjoon on the other hand just decided not to question things further. He had other things to worry about than a cat that might possibly understand him. He plopped down onto the couch right next to Hobi and got himself comfortable. There wasn’t much he could do now but wait and trust in Yoongi to know what was the right thing to do. He had a few more questions, about witches, magic and this curse and everything else – but he figured, he could ask him all about it later.
He was too tired now.
Yoongi worked half through the night before he realized how quiet it was. He had prepared several vials with colorful liquid, each for different side effects that the curse might manifest in Namjoon’s body. It would probably be best for Namjoon to take them all throughout the day, just to make sure. He was thankful that Namjoon had taken his advice and got some rest and that Hobi was with him so that he could fully concentrate on the task at hand. He was so tired now that he could feel it in his bones, so he better got up as well and got some sleep before... before… he froze when he realized that Namjoon didn’t know where he lived. He had completely forgotten to tell him! But he wasn’t here and Hobi was neither so what if Namjoon had run off and decided to take Hobi with him as a bribe so that he could blackmail Yoongi into healing him, but he was already doing his best he really was… The thoughts were spiraling in his head while he ran up the staircase, opening the door with a motion of his hand and coming to a stumbling halt in the living room. There they were, Namjoon half on his side on a heap of cushions and with Hobi’s blanket over him which was a little too thin for him to be using but Namjoon didn’t seem to mind as he was sleeping soundlessly. Hobi was lying close to his head on his favorite velvet cushion, stretching his paws when he saw Yoongi and yawning sleepily.
“There you are. I wondered when you would join us.“
If the situation itself wasn’t so absurd, it would have been a cute scene to stumble into. His cat, right next to a pouting Namjoon who was mumbling things in his sleep. But Yoongi had cursed him. Deadly. And he wouldn’t be surprised if Namjoon hated him now, that their one date would be all there was. The witch sighed and got a thicker blanket to wrap Namjoon in softly, so he wouldn’t get cold and then got a few of his oversized sweaters to put aside for him. With another twirl of his finger there were all kinds of things flying around, clothes, the potions he made, a few books - all growing smaller in the air before they all flew into a backpack Yoongi would take with him tomorrow. He was too tired to do it himself right now. Then he walked back to Hobi, giving him a kiss on his little head before retreating to his bedroom. He needed the rest for tomorrow.
Namjoon woke up, groaning painfully. Everything in his body was aching, his head, his neck and….his wrist. He was awake right away, only orientating himself slowly as he looked around a little dazed, rubbing the side of his temples as if he had a bad hangover.
Yoongi hadn’t really slept so while Namjoon was slowly waking up he was already standing in the small kitchen, making some eggs and lemon water for Namjoon to get something healthy. He had prepared some chicken for Hobi because the cat hadn’t gotten it yesterday as promised and he also wanted to say thank you that the cat hadn’t made him feel worse and instead had helped him with Namjoon. “Good morning!” He wasn’t sure if one could call this a ‘good morning’ but decided that politeness won over questionable circumstances, “If you feel like it you can come in for breakfast. Or let Hobi show you where the bathroom is first.”
“Are those sweatshirts for me?” He asked, taking one that looked like it was big enough for him to wear and pulled it over. “Thank you, I’m actually really hungry.” Namjoon walked into the kitchen while gazing around. It wasn’t much different from the small kitchen in the shop, only that it was bigger and there were just as much dried herbs everywhere. It was a lot more colorful in Yoongi’s apartment. Earthy tones mixed with violet and purple highlights. A colorful chime hanging on the door that lead to a balcony playing in the wind. “How didn’t I see that you were a literal witch?” Namjoon chuckled low, “Is it okay if I ask questions? I am still confused about everything, honestly. Is there more than you can do than just potions and spells? Are there different witches? Where are we going?”
Yoongi had expected tense silence and reproachful or angry looks so Namjoon’s open curiosity threw him a little off balance. “Y…yeah, you can ask questions.” He put the plate in front of Namjoon and added some herbs onto his eggs. “Some greens that you should eat - and nothing dead to feed the curse.” A vegan breakfast would have been even better, but he wasn’t that healthy himself and eggs didn’t actually count as they were unfertilized with no potential life inside. It felt strange to talk so openly about something as personal as magic, but he figured he owed it to Namjoon.
“I can do potion, spells and sigil magic, I also make hex bags, good luck charms and simple herb stuff that is only halfway magic. I’m not that talented with tarot but I guess I could do it if I really had to. And I hate pendulums so nothing of that. If I can’t decide then I sure as hell won’t ask a stone.” He made himself a large pot of coffee and then sat down on the table as well, as far away from Namjoon as he could. He didn't want the other to feel threatened. “There are lots of different witches. Depending on where their talents are or what they like to do with their magic or if they practice in a circle or alone... it would take too long to explain all the differences to you but I’m like.. pretty normal I guess. A modern, solitary urban witch doing basic magic.” Hetook a sip of his coffee and let that sink in, “And we’ll be going to the magic market. To get some ingredients - and some advice.”
“Basic? You think deadly curses are basic then?” Namjoon shook his head, “I have no idea about magic but that doesn’t sound very basic to me.” He sighed deeply, pushing his food around on the plate, “It’s probably my fault anyways. I am sorry I disturbed you and scared you. I was involved in this mess just as much as you were. I was just frightened that something had happened to you.” Namjoon took his first bite, humming delightfully at the taste. “I just hope…it turns out right. I want to trust you, Yoongi,” A small smile appeared on his lip before he dived into his food. Yoongi blushed a little but he still had to nod, “It’s not that extraordinary to prepare a curse every now and then. It’s not like I’m using them anyway.”
When he finished his plate, Namjoon asked for a refill right away. He was still hungry, his stomach feeling empty as if he hadn’t eaten anything in days. Finishing Yoongi’s food just as quickly, he reached for another slice of bread. “D-do you have something to drink for me?” He munched on the bread already reaching for another slice. The more he was eating, the hungrier he felt. At first he gave Namjoon what he asked for and only when Namjoon kept eating and looking more desperate did he realized that this was far more than a regular breakfast. Gently he took Namjoon’s wrist and turned it around and just as he had thought the dark vines were warm and pulsating, feeding from what Namjoon gave the, not the food. The loss of control.
“I... I don’t want to starve you or anything just.. are you normally that hungry in the morning? Do you think you could maybe.. wait for a bit longer? We could get some snacks after the market; how does that sound?” He was wary, tense. He had no idea if Namjoon would be sensitive enough to feel that this hunger wasn’t him nor had it anything to do with food. he might as well get scared or lash out at him because he was the one denying him what he wanted at this moment. The other stared at Yoongi, then at his wrist that he was holding. “Oh,” A shiver ran down his spine as he realized what he was doing, “I…no, I never eat this much actually…” Namjoon looked at Yoongi with unsure eyes, “Is it the curse? I don’t want it to grow…can we go now? Go to your friends and…and…fuck.” The realization that this might kill him, hit Namjoon hard and he let out a shaky breath. “How much worse will it get?”
“The quicker we intervene, the less severe you’ll experience the side effects.” He got up and quickly placed the food and plates away, “Let’s go - we might even catch the early train and arrive there sooner than I planned. We can do this Namjoon, you’ll see when he come back tonight we might have the cure and then... then we can pretend none of this ever happened and go back to where we left off. If you want to.” He hurried out of the kitchen before Namjoon could say anything to this.
“Train?” Namjoon stumbled after Yoongi a while later, after they got themselves ready and Hobi had jumped on Yoongi’s shoulder, “Are cats even allowed on trains? I thought a magical market would be more difficult to access…also,” Namjoon was a little bit out of breath, following Yoongi who seemed like he was avoiding his gaze at any moment, “Does Hobi understand everything we say? I figured he does…in a way. Is he magical, too?”
“Not really. But If anyone sees him I could cast a spell on him. And most people just ignore us. Normally we take the broom anyway, but it wouldn’t be able to carry two people…” He patted Hoseok who leaned into his touch. “He understands humans, yes. But he’s not magical…” A paw in his face made him reconsider, “Of course you are magical to me, you fluff, I’m just trying to explain to Namjoon what the difference is between a talking animal and a familiar!”
At Namjoon’s face he cleared his throat and tried again. “Uhm, yeah, you see, Hobi’s my familiar so I understand him, and he understands me. And as he learned my language he understands other humans as well if you don’t have a difficult accent. However, as he’s a cat he can’t talk back in our language, so you won’t understand him unless you use a spell or are naturally gifted with animals. There are people who have a talent to understand animals. I guess that’s where this Disney princess cliché comes from…”
Namjoon had to let the information sink in once more and only when they sat down, and the train began moving did he speak up again. “Oh no, you little…I was talking to him…a lot!” Namjoon face palmed himself, sighing in embarrassment and turned to look out of the window, “About you…and everything else basically.” He blushed, trying to hide it by looking away. “Tell me then, any rules I need to follow on the market? You said it’s black magic? Will there be…bad witches? Will they sense the curse?” His voice turned into a whisper even though there weren’t any people around.
“Don’t worry, Hobi likes you. He did check out if you live alone and he also told me that you seem like an awesome guy though his judgement might have been in your favor because you bribed him with tuna - he didn’t tell me what you two talked about.” His voice got serious, “Yes, the market is.. full of all kinds of people. Witches, warlocks, sometimes Fae. Rule number one don’t go with fae. Rule number two don’t eat anything that you are offered even if it looks like regular food. Rule number three don’t tell anyone under any circumstances that you are human. You either don’t say anything and look mysterious or tell them that you are experimenting with magic and are a rogue hedge witch or something. Some of them will feel the curse but depending on how talented they are it will range from ‘noticing a vague magic feeling’ to ‘cursed’. Which is actually a good thing. Because a human should have neither so it’s rather for your protection. We just don’t want to run into the guards of magic because.. because I’mnotreallysupposedtoletsomeoneknowI’mawitch andtheycouldimprisonmeforthat.” Yoongi had quickly said the last part under his breath, hoping that Namjoon wouldn’t ask any further.
“Oh,” Namjoon stared at Yoongi with wide eyes, his mouth agape. “I won’t tell anyone then. You can trust me on that!” He swore, “You help me, I help you.” He leaned his chin onto his hand, his gaze wandering back to the window and staring out at the scenery that was passing by. Namjoon had no idea where this journey would take him, and it frightened him a little how easy he had just gone with it. Maybe it was his brain pushing down every potential thought of ‘death’ so he would stay alive. Survival instincts or something, Namjoon thought to himself. He was so deep in his thoughts, that he jerked hard when Yoongi called out for him. Namjoon had no clue about where they were, how much time had passed and when they departed he stood in the middle of nowhere. There was not even a train station – it was just a small little house with one old guy sitting in front of it smoking a cigar not even caring about them. Yoongi let Hobi down, who was trotting in front of them while Namjoon was still speechless. “Where the fuck are we?”
“Directly on our way to the market.” Yoongi didn’t seem perturbed that there was nothing around them but green and dense undergrowth that made it harder for them to continue on their way. He just turned his wrist a little and the tendrils turned another way. Namjoon had a hard time going after him before they closed up again. When it got too difficult for Hobi he reclaimed his place on Yoongi’s shoulder where he comfortable had a look around, listening to the forest birds and turning his ears whenever there was a sound he didn’t know.
“It…is in the middle of a forest? But…wouldn’t humans stumble upon it,” Namjoon tried to keep up, but branches kept hitting his face and tearing on his clothes. He couldn’t see anything but trees and greens. There was no sign of a market or any other people around – witches nor humans. He sighed desperately, “You sure we aren’t lost?”
“No because they wouldn’t even get out the train. And even if they want to have a little stroll in exactly this forest then they might just pass us.” He enjoyed being vague. He could just tell Namjoon that it was invisible for bystanders but that would have taken the surprise away for when they finally arrived. “Oh, damn, now that you say it…,” He started, just to tease Namjoon when he already saw the little wall that was built around the little garden. You could see where the roses had been and that there had been a wooden bench a while ago while now there was only a heap of broken planks and steel covered with moss. “Ah, found it. There we are,” He waited until Namjoon had caught up with him and could see the garden.
“What? That’s it?” Namjoon felt a little more breathless than usual – he figured it must be because of the curse. He took a bottle of water from Yoongi’s bag, taking a sip, before he pointed at the garden door. “I guess, you have to do some magic?” Namjoon asked and took a few steps back, holding his hands up, “Just for safety…I have enough side-effects for now. Let’s just get something to undo it so we’ll be back tonight.” The cat on Yoongi’s shoulder cocked his head aside at Namjoon’s behavior but only meowed as he jumped down on the ground and watching his master in excitement.
So much for surprising Namjoon. Yoongi easily let the concealment slip away and opened the door that led into the garden - just that it lead right into the market now. One step further inside and the forest was gone, grey and red cobbles paved the way and there were so many people that it was easy to get lost. Most of them looked like Yoongi or at least in a way that they could pass as humans on the street but there were also a few that didn’t even try to hide that they were different. Typically, black hats and long cloaks together with raven feathers sewn to clothes or sparkling stuff that looked like fish scales, just that the fish must have been enormous. There were tools that looked like stolen from a steampunk movie and someone carried a basket with eggs around which were slightly smaller than an ostrich egg but a lot more colorful - and way more dangerous looking when they started moving. When they passed one of the many market stalls Namjoon could see that one of the merchants had a snake wound around his waist - and eyes that matched his pet. His shocked reaction made him stumble and Yoongi quickly reached out for him, taking his arm, “Stay close please. Being caught by the GoMs isn’t the worst that could happen to you here.”
Namjoon was completely and utterly overwhelmed. He gulped heavily, his eyes wandering around the scenery as he nodded. Reaching out for Yoongi’s hand he intertwined their fingers easily and without a second thought. “Figured this will be easier,” He mumbled, looking somewhere else to hide the blush while his heart was beating faster again and Namjoon couldn’t be sure if it was because of the way Yoongi’s small hands fitted in his or the new environment. Maybe a little bit of both.
Yoongi had figured that buying some more ingredients for purifying spells and cleansing waters couldn’t hurt but he was honestly rather looking for one of the black magic stalls were you could buy vampire teeth and mermaid flesh and anything else that was forbidden trade. That’s why they were mostly on the edges of the market, as it was easier to vanish into thin air in case the GoMs would see them. He hoped that if he asked around enough one of them might know a spell that helped black magic gone wrong in general or was versed enough in the art to figure out what Yoongi had messed up exactly with Namjoon. And as this was a market and merchants  didn’t do charity he’s taken a good amount of gold coins with him. It would cost him a lot to heal Namjoon, he knew that - but it would cost him way more if Namjoon died because of him. Something that was worth more than money.
While Yoongi was buying stuff Namjoon had no clue about, the other was looking around, trying to take in everything that he was seeing. When Yoongi walked ahead, pulling him along, he was excitedly whispering, “They had dragons! Did you see them?” He was in shock, in awe, and completely overwhelmed but as long as Yoongi kept on holding his hand he just followed him.
It was hard to keep his hands to himself though, the urge to touch certain objects was tingling in his fingertips but he also remembered Yoongi’s rules vividly and one curse was enough. They were walking for hours, talking, haggling with all kind of sellers and Namjoon was getting tired. Yoongi seemed to get more frustrated, his brows deeply furrowed in concentration. Namjoon pulled at Yoongi’s hand, “Can you walk a little slower. I don’t know but I’m tired and hungry.”
“Yes, of course we can,” He answered but his voice was tense and he looked stressed. He still hadn’t found any usable answers. He had been told about a magical fountain that could cure any kind of disease magical or not but the merchant had no idea where to find it or if it even still existed, then there had been someone trying to sell him ‘healing’ potions that Yoongi had recognized as mouthwash and then the usual kind of spells and magical plasters that he had already tried himself. “You should probably take another one of the potions I gave you. The yellow one should work best right now.” He was running out of ideas and worse also running out of time because the longer it took the more Namjoon would feel it! What should he tell Namjoon if they had to leave the market empty handed? That he was sorry, and he had tried but that was it now and he would be with him until he died that horrible death he had talked about because that was the least he could do?
He had been so deeply in thought that he saw the guards a little too late and his eyes widened in surprise while Namjoon next to him clumsily tried to open the little viable with its tiny cork.
“Shit!”
While others wouldn’t look twice at Namjoon, Guards were more thorough and if he couldn’t figure out what Namjoon was he would take his magical signature and if they found out that he was human…One of them already took what looked like magnifying glasses out of his pocket, just that there were three levels of glass in different colors that added up to eyeglasses that could make the natural magical signature of any creature visible. And Namjoon didn’t have any but the curse. “Run!” He grabbed Namjoon tighter and started running blindly in the very first direction where he could move, hoping that they wouldn’t just run into more guards.
The vial flew right out of his hand, smashing into little pieces on the cobblestone, while he stumbled after Yoongi. They were quickly moving around a few stalls, trying to blend in with the crowd even more. “Wh-what happened?” Namjoon asked completely out of breath, trying to look over his shoulder to see if there was anyone running after them. He felt another pull and Namjoon almost fell, but luckily for him Yoongi pushed him against a wall right away, motioning for him to be quiet. His eyes were wide as he gazed around the dark alley, waiting, holding his breath. The small side alley was their lifesaver and Yoongi’s heart was doing somersaults while they were hiding and waiting for them to pass them.  Namjoon was just about to release his breath when a sudden piercing pain shot through his body. He gasped painfully and with Yoongi being so close already, he simply pulled the witch in to hide himself in his neck while he was shaking, trying to keep as quiet as possible.
Of course, the curse reacted to all the fear and tension and decided to grow in that very moment so Yoongi pressed his hand against Namjoon’s mouth as the other curled in against him, holding him as close as possible to choke off any kind of sounds. Namjoon’s fingers were digging into his shoulder blades as he held onto Yoongi tightly. His knees shaking and about to give up on him, while his whole body felt like it was on fire. His eyes widened in pain and Namjoon could see the guards walking back but luckily for them, they didn’t enter the alley. This time they were lucky. Namjoon closed his eyes, taking deep breaths through his nose while the pain was slowly fading but he kept his hold around Yoongi’s waist tight. “I…I’m o-okay,” Namjoon groaned quietly.
“It’s..it’s fine, take your time.” Although Namjoons tight grip had hurt it was still his fault that Namjoon was experiencing this at all so he could manage a little discomfort if Namjoon managed to get literally eaten alive by a curse. As the other still seemed a little wobbly on his feet Yoongi kept his hold on him to make it easier for him to find his balance and when Namjoon looked up they were so close that their lips almost brushed. Yoongi hadn’t realized how intimate this was until now, too busy with trying to not get caught or let Namjoon fall to be aware of Namjoon’s body pressed against his from shoulder to thigh. He could feel it now all the more.
Namjoon felt the way Yoongi’s heart was thumping against his chest – probably because of their sudden runaway but still, he couldn’t help but stare at him, getting lost in his eyes and forgetting about his pain. His hand wandered from Yoongi’s shoulder around his waist and up his chest to his neck all on his own, while the other arm was still keeping him pressed tight to his body. “D-do you think they are gone?” Namjoon whispered, not moving an inch away from Yoongi’s face but instead his gaze wandered down to his lips. He wondered what it would be like to feel those soft lips on his own, to give in to the urge to just kiss Yoongi. His fingertips soothed over the skin on Yoongi’s neck softly, “I…I think…I want to…”
“I thought I was the only one you’d pull into dark alleys,” A low voice made both of them jerk out of their stupor, followed by a soft giggle coming from the shadows of the alley. Hobi meowed right away, recognizing the smell of the witch that was approaching. “I must say I’m a bit disappointed…but what did I expect,” Jungkook stepped out of the shadows, brushing a hand through his hair, “You’ve always been a bit of a heartbreaker, Yoongi.”
Namjoon’s lips had been so close, he could almost taste his warm breath, sweet and inviting while Namjoon’s fingers on his neck seemed to slowly pull him forward… and then Jungkook had to come and ruin it. “Jungkook!” They separated quickly, Namjoon visibly embarrassed though Yoongi was not. Jungkook had seen him do way more embarrassing things than almost-kissing a cute guy in an alley. Besides it might not just be a lucky coincidence that they met here, maybe Jungkook could help him save Namjoon’s life.
“Oh, please, you know you’ll always be my favorite witch.” He let that sink in and watched with a smirk as Jungkook’s eyes flickered back over Namjoon’s form before they widened in surprise. “No way! Yoongi, you brought a human? No wonder you’re hiding like that - naughty boy!” He laughed and threw his head back, baring his neck a little were you could see one of his sigils peeking out. “Yeah, well, it’s kind of a long story. And a complicated one. And I could really use your help so if you know a place where we could be safe from guards and still talk openly - that would be great. You know Namjoon has kind of an issue here. Because of me. One that could kill him if I’m not quick enough to reverse it.”
Jungkook eyed Namjoon as he came closer, while he was still panting, holding onto the wall behind him. “Is he strong enough to apparate?” Yoongi shrugged his shoulders as an answer. Honestly, he didn’t know anything about the curse, and he needed to study the way it was growing as fast as possible so getting out of the black market quickly and somewhere safe was the best way. “Just do it,” Yoongi answered, reaching out for Jungkook’s arm, feeling the younger’s muscle shift underneath the thin fabric of his shirt. “Hold my hand,” Jungkook said towards Namjoon, who cocked up an eyebrow, observing how Yoongi was holding Hobi tightly to his chest and onto Jungkook.
“Where are we g-,” He couldn’t ask more, the rest of his sentence turning into a sudden scream because he was sucked into nothingness. He couldn’t breathe for a second, feeling like he was sucked into a tube, but only seconds after it was over already. Namjoon fell onto his knees, one hand reaching out to hold onto Yoongi, coughing and trying to take a deep breath. The curse was still hot, pulsating under his wrist and arm where it had grown. He felt dizzy from the sudden apparition and the effects of the curse. “Welcome to my home,” Jungkook announced with a happy tone but it changed the second he saw the state the human was in. “This doesn’t look good.”
“That’s kind of why I’m here!” Yoongi might have sounded gruff to someone else him but Jungkook had known him for a long time now and he knew that this was simply proof of how desperate the witch was. He was dying to know what exactly had happened for them both to be in this mess but whoever that human was he was important to Yoongi - and he was suffering so Jungkook would try to stop it before they could talk about anything else. He left the two were they were (on the floor in Namjoon’s case) and went to his little storage room. As soon as he opened the door one could smell the herbs and feel the tingly, telltale sign of magic. He had practically everything in there, seed to grow the most beautiful, magical flowers in your garden in no time, fairy flowers that would attract the little fluttering creatures, magical pumpkins that could grow as big as a carriage, Vines that grew so thick and strong that you could climb on them… he was just as into herbalism as Yoongi however he didn’t use the kind you could sell to humans but rather the ones you could sell to everyone else but humans. He wasn’t picky who his customers were so he also sold plants with leaf’s that were sharp as razors or poisonous beauties that you could use for a lot of purposes (and only half of them were good). Working with dangerous, poisonous, magical plants could have its risk so Jungkook had mastered a difficult and time consuming potion that you had to make during a blood moon, and which had to simmer for a whole week. It helped against almost every poisoning or plant induced infection and he was certain that it would help Namjoon as well, if not with the source of his pain then at least with the side effects.
When he brought the potion back to them, Namjoon only eyed it warily then looking back at Yoongi. “Who is he? What is that?” He coughed a little, sitting up but still not letting go of the witch’s hand, “I’ve had enough of random magic potions. Will this help me for real? Or…is it like the others you made? How can I know to trust him?”
“Yah, you know, you probably shouldn't trust me. I mean you could get cursed in the end. No, wait, you already are! So seriously, what do you have to lose?” Yoongi gave Jungkook a glare as the younger happily dangled the potion in front of Namjoon’s face. “And by the way you should never trust a witch. Haven’t you learned that in school? Or in Kindergarten with all those colorful stories about how we eat children and live alone in woods and…” Another glare from Yoongi finally shut him up.
Namjoon rolled his eyes at the kid, snatching the potion away from the witch angrily. He was taking the potion like a shot, pushing the empty bottle back into Jungkook’s hands before excusing himself. A quick look around and Namjoon had made out the front door. “I need air. Don’t worry about me,” He was out the door only seconds after, finding himself in the middle of a forest. He had no reason to run away, nor did he want to, but he needed to calm himself down. There was too much pent up frustration and anger inside of him, something he didn’t like to admit. Namjoon wasn’t the angry kind of guy. He was calm. Thoughtful. And said ‘sorry’ too much.
He didn’t feel like himself and he hated it.
“Do you want to go after him?” Jungkook cocked his head, wondering what exactly the relationship between Yoongi and that human could be. They didn’t seem close enough to be lovers but in that alley it had really looked like they were about to kiss. “Or do you want to tell me what this is all about? I’d love to hear the story on how a simple human brought you into a situation where you’re hiding from the guards while normally you like to do stuff right under their noses without them ever catching you. Did you get old - or worse, soft for a human?” Jungkook was happily teasing him while Yoongi was torn between running after Namjoon and answering Jungkook’s questions before the younger would start pestering Namjoon again.
Namjoon sat down on a bench that he found near the cottage, letting his gaze wander over the plants, flowers and trees while he was trying to calm his breathing. He soothed over his own wrist, only glancing down shortly to see how it had spread even further up his arm. Sighing deeply, he leaned back. “Why me?” He groaned when a sudden weight on him, startled him in surprise. There was Hobi on his lap, purring softly and nudging his head against his stomach. He lifted the cat, nuzzling his face into his fur, feeling like he needed the softness to calm down again. “I’m scared Hobi,” Namjoon mumbled, “Yoongi has no clue what he’s doing right? It didn’t seem like he found anything at the market. He bought some stuff…but he seemed desperate. I’m desperate. I’m angry. I’m never angry. I just wanted to write my boring dissertation and take out a cute guy for dinner…nothing more.” Hobi started kneading Namjoon’s stomach before plopping down and curling up on him, serving as a warm, fluffy source of comfort and grounding. He would have loved to calm Namjoon down with words, but he had found out before that meowing at people who didn’t speak “cat” rather stressed them out than helped.
Namjoon was thankful for the presence, feeling a little less alone in the situation. He was caressing the cat’s fur in silence, not noticing when Yoongi was approaching him after a while and only when he sat down next to him Namjoon looked up. “Hey,” He smiled faintly, scratching the cat behind it’s ears, “You really got a special one here. He knows how to calm one down.” Namjoon turned to look at Yoongi, “He’s more than just a familiar to you, right? How did you get him?”
Yoongi smiled back as Hobi stretched out his paws to tap Yoongi’s arm as if to remind him that he was there. “You can feel honored. Although Hobi’s smart he normally ignores other people and they need to work hard to earn his trust. You however… he liked you from the very first moment. That’s how I knew that I could trust you.” He sat down next to Namjoon’s bench on the floor, just within reach of Hobi’s paws. “The thing with familiars is that normally you wait till you reach a certain age or magical level and then ask for a familiar and then see who comes to you. I didn’t like the thought to send a plea out in the open for anyone to hear. So, I didn’t. And I thought this would mean that I would stay not only a witch without a coven but also one without a familiar. And I told myself that I was fine with that. But I was lying to myself. But there wasn’t really anything I could do about it without making myself uncomfortable. Until one day when I was plucking herbs I saw this tiny ball of black fluff sitting in midst of some cuckoo flowers. I needed some so I got closer and saw that he was sniffing a butterfly. It was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.” He grinned as Hobi started licking his chest in embarrassment. “And I was wondering who would let their cat run so far into the woods, especially one so small and so beautiful. So, I asked him, you know, the way you do when you don’t really expect an answer ‘Hey beautiful, where do you live? Did you get lost?’ and all that and he just comes up at me and looks at me with his baby blue eyes - he was so young that his eyes still had their baby color - and he said ‘I want to live with you! Can you take me home please?’ And he wasn’t very good with talking because he hadn’t spoken that much but I knew what he wanted nonetheless so I took him home and gave him food - and then had to clean up his mess because he barfed all over the couch because I hadn’t bought kitten food and his stomach was sensitive. That’s how our love story began.” He laughed and nudged Hobi gently against his head.
Namjoon’s smile grew only bigger the more Yoongi was talking. It felt like the witch was baring a part of him, telling him something so personal when he normally was very closed up. “That’s the sweetest story I’ve ever heard,” Namjoon chuckled quietly, “I feel honored then…thank you for trusting me.” A rose color was dusting his cheeks and Namjoon looked at Yoongi, “I’ll try and do the same. It’s just…tough right now. I’m not really sure what I’m feeling right now and I’m scared and…exhausted.”
“That’s alright. You don’t have to make sense of all of this now. Just… try not to lose yourself, okay? When you feel like you’re not acting like yourself anymore, tell me. If it’s necessary I can make you fall asleep. It’s better than you accidentally hurting yourself because you’re falling into the pit of your own emotions. Jungkook thinks he can reach out for a friend of his, Jimin. He’s a witch as well, a  love witch so he’s… pretty used to personality altering stuff and greyscale magic. If you feel like you can’t travel from the exhaustion then you could take a nap while Jungkook and I try to reach Jimin and maybe when you wake up we already know where he is and when we’ll be able to meet him. Then you can have something to eat, Jungkook has the sweetest tomatoes you’ve ever tasted and some fruits that will help you clear your head. And if we’re lucky then Jimin will know what to do and we’ll be able to lift the curse by tonight.” He got up and dusted off his knees “Anything you want to add?”
“A lot of things,” Namjoon mumbled, “But it’s not that important. Let’s get rid of this curse, then.” Hobi jumped off his lap trotting ahead, while the two of them were behind him. “You know only the weird witches, huh. Love Witches...Black Magic Markets...I figured he’s some kind of Garden Witch? Jungkook, I mean… the plants…don’t look normal. That’s why he’s so far away, right?” Namjoon raked a hand through his hair, follow Yoongi who seemed like he knew where to go as he lead him up to the guest room where he could rest, “He seems like a troubled boy in a way…or is it just the persona he wants to keep up? With his ripped jeans and band shirts?” He laughed and plopped down on the small bed, not really wanting Yoongi to leave right away.
Yoongi’s eyes widened as Namjoon so casually stated that he had completely seen through Jungkook’s mask. “No, he’s…” He bit his lip, not exactly sure how much he could tell Namjoon without crossing a boundary for Kook. “He’s been very lonely. For a long while he’s been… isolated. Shy. Starved for attention. He almost burned up from his own magic before someone showed him how to use it in a way that didn’t hurt. Don’t mind his bickering and teasing. He’s more sensitive than he leads on.” He sat down in front of Namjoon, close enough to reach out for him, “And yeah, he is a garden witch. But he hid for so long that now that he’s capable, he lets the most magical plants grow under his care. He has the most special and rarest ingredients which makes him very valuable for a lot of witches and spell makers. They call him the ‘golden boy’ because some of his plants are worth more than gold.”
Namjoon listened in awe, humming in response. “He should be proud of what he accomplished.” He yawned in the process, rubbing the back of his neck and rolled his head around. “I think the potion he gave me made me only sleepy, but it helped to ease the pain. I don’t feel it throbbing anymore.” Stretching out his fingers as a little, Namjoon glanced down at his wrist. While the rest was hidden under his clothes, he could still see some of the black streaks that were pulsating quietly under his skin. The rest he didn’t want to look at. He could feel it grow each time the pain was too much, therefore he was sure he could tell exactly how far the streaks were going now.
Yoongi’s lips were pressed into a thin line as he let his gaze wander over Namjoon's body. The curse was growing quicker and more powerful than he had thought, and it visibly drained the other. He wanted to know how bad exactly it was but Namjoon seemed comfortable as he was that he didn’t thought about undressing for his nap. Or maybe he was just wary in front of Yoongi. Either way he needed to take a look and he would rather have it with Namjoon still awake. “Would you…” He licked his lips nervously. “Would you mind if I looked at it again? The curse? Just to make sure.. that I know how much time we have left.”
Namjoon cocked up an eyebrow, laughing humorlessly, “Yeah, check how much time I have left on this goddamn earth for walking in on trying to save a cute witch.” He pulled his sweatshirt over his head and then got rid of the shirt underneath, revealing his sun kissed skin once more to Yoongi. Then he simply laid back down. He figured it was easier for Yoongi to just look at it like this, while he could just close his eyes and pretend this never happened.
Yoongi reached out and touched the inside of Namjoon’s arm, flinching hard when he felt how warm it was. How alive it felt. Like a parasite, waiting right under Namjoon’s skin to jump at every opportunity to make his life hell, pain, anger, sorrow, fear... it thrived off everything that had Namjoon’s spirit crumbling and it would only stop when it was strong enough to devour the other’s soul.
Yoongi felt heavily nauseous. Knowledge was different when it was just a theoretical thought - but feeling it pulsate and lurk beneath the surface of Namjoon’s skin… honestly he had no idea how Namjoon could bear it without freaking out or trying to get rid of it by harming himself. That’s what he would have done. Trying to burn it away while probably lighting himself on fire. Yoongi could almost feel it, the heat of the flames licking at his skin, the smell of the smoke, the parching heat when the fire started to melt his skin..
“Mreowkchhhhhh!” With a battle cry Hoseok attacked Yoongi’s hand, scratching his fingers so that his witch let go of the cursed skin and fell backwards. Yoongi shook his head, trying to clear his mind of the horrible images. He felt horrified. The curse was so strong that it had been able to reach out for him through Namjoon - he didn’t even want to imagine how Namjoon must felt while having it inside him. “Thank you.” He kissed Hoseok on his fluffy head before wiping the blood from his fingers.
“Fuck, Yoongi!” Namjoon reached out for the witch, looking at his injured hand then Hobi and back to him again, “Wh-what happened? Is something wrong with Hobi? Why…are you hurt? Do you want me to get something.” Namjoon had only heard the sudden outcry of the cat, hearing the painful gasp from Yoongi and then opened his eyes to see his bloody hand.
“N.. no, it’s okay. I just tried to reach out for the curse, tried to feel it, sense it - it kind of used that against me.” He hesitated and then suggested, “I’ll talk with Jungkook about how to each out for Jimin, but I’ll be right back after. I don’t want to leave you alone for too long. And if anything feels strange or if you feel like the curse is starting to win you over then call me. Or Hoseok. Don’t make the mistake of thinking you can handle this on your own because I’d rather have you call me in precaution than come to your room to see you... hurt.”
Namjoon nodded at that, only letting go of Yoongi with hesitation. He watched the cat hop onto the bed next to him when the door closed, and he could finally close his eyes.
In the meantime, Jungkook had been searching every book he could find about spells gone wrong and plants with abilities to redo spells or curses. When he heard footsteps behind him, Jungkook flicked his wrist around making a book fly towards Yoongi who caught it easily. “I found something. Not much…but something,” He said and turned towards his shelf, “I gathered everything that I could find to cleanse his body, mind and spirit. I know it’s not really a lot…but I figured, either way we need to prepare a magical ritual. Restore the distressed mind into normalcy so we can extract the curse from him.” Jungkook smirked when he could feel Yoongi peeking over his shoulder, “This plant is pretty rare. It can only be used as an oil. If you’re not up for it…I’ll volunteer to rub it into his skin for you,” He winked playfully.
“Yeah, no way you perv.” Yoongi plucked the book out from his hand and placed it aside so that he could read it in peace without feeling Jungkook smirk down on him. It looked pretty intimate to him, but it was just another reason to consulate Jimin. Anything bordering on sexmagic or spells as physical as this one would work more smoothly under the love witch’s guidance. Not that Jungkook would have needed it - but Yoongi did. He was scared to hurt Namjoon again or to scare him, disgust him, ruin him further. The thing was you couldn’t fake faith or trust or confidence. Maybe in front of other people. But not in the face of magic. It was all about intentions. And the second you were hesitating you gave room to all those fears you had to fuck up your spell. He couldn’t let that happen.
“Yeah, let’s do this. If you could prepare the oil - we can take about the price later. You know I will pay, no matter what it  is you want. I’ll try to find Jimin. And then we come back to perform the spell together. The more of us the better.”
“I’m already on it,” Jungkook said and saluted teasingly. Yoongi watched him in interest, as the younger reached to open the window, closing his eyes with a smile on his face and he held up a small, delicate dandelion in front of his lips. “Tell Jimin we need his help,” He whispered and simply blew out some air to send off the little seedlings to find their destination.
Yoongi’s brows went up. He had never seen Jungkook do this before - because if he had known he had suggested it to screech's owner to give the poor owl some rest. Though maybe only someone as deeply connected to plants as a garden witch could do it. Either way he was hopeful that this was exactly what would get Jimin’s attention.
“Anything for the human, huh? I mean, yes, you fucked up the spell but since when do you care about humans so much?” He shook him out of his frozen state of trying to see for how long he could follow the small seedlings, “Who is he even? He seems pretty boring to me.”
Yoongi felt himself getting defensive and protective over Namjoon immediately. “You might have been living alongside plants for too long if you don’t recognize an interesting human when you see one! Hobi likes him! And he... he’s different. He came into my store with a chemical burn! And shortly after he had injured himself by trying to opening a box. He just needed my help or else he would have probably electrocuted himself by now by trying to change a lamp. I... I grew fond of him I guess. And he is nice and.. .attentive and innocent in a way. And when I was doing the spell work he wanted to ask me out and… it’s not fair that he has to suffer just because I forgot to lock the door.
“He wanted to ask you out?” Jungkook’s back was still turned to Yoongi while he was talking, mixing a few herbs together, “And you forgot to lock the door? You must have been really angry to cast such a curse, thinking he’d be an intruder... Haven’t you been sleeping again? Do you need some more valerian root? I’ve been growing the biggest one’s you’ll ever see. One is enough for a whole century.” He smiled, looking over his shoulder.
“It's…uhm maybe I didn't sleep as much as I should, but it was just one spell, how should I have known that it would go so wrong. It was kind of a ‘heat of the moment’ thing I've had my back to him and just heard steps so I…  I just freaked I guess. And he stepped into the circle, so the protection was nullified. If you think about it then it was just an enormous pile of bad luck.” He sighed deeply. “But I am going to fix this. And then Namjoon will either still like me and be totally okay with me being a witch and we'll live happily ever after - or I'll have to wipe his mind to keep my secret and not get punished by the GOMs.” He came closer, watching over Jungkook's shoulder while the other was busy chopping up stuff. “I'd like one of those roots Please - but only after you tested them! I won't be your Guinea pig again and end up falling randomly asleep.”
Jungkook looked at Yoongi thoroughly, “Happily ever after?” He studied his friend a little closer, looking him up and down, “Who are you and what did you do to my grumpy witch that breaks hearts just for fun?” Nudging his friend in his side, he poured in some oil into the bowl and began stirring, “And I’ve already tested it on Godzilla. He’s only been asleep for eight hours and then woke up…I mean,” Jungkook shrugged his shoulders, “He fell asleep again, but you know him…he’s quite like you.”
“That was sarcasm, Jungkook. You really need to talk more to people. You might end up turning into a plant yourself. Or staying at their level of Communication skills.” He out in some extra grumpiness to not ruin his reputation. Being known as the ‘grumpy witch you better not piss off’ had its benefits.
“Godzilla? If by that you mean your small leafy green friend who can barely trample a heap of sand if he tries really hard then I’m still not convinced. Or do I look like a turtle to you? And no, we are nothing alike. A snap turtle maybe - but not some pastel colored baby that retreats into its shell whenever someone dares to sneeze.”
“He’s the best baby!” Jungkook pointed his finger at Yoongi, “Don’t you dare insult him…he’s the cutest and smartest little turtle…” There was a sudden wind howling from the outside, making Jungkook’s back door slam open widely. Both witches jerked around at the sudden loud sound. Then it was silent again. No wind. Nothing. Jungkook took a careful step forward. The wind chime starting playing, but not the usual random tones of wind blowing through the soft shells, but it was melodic, a soft sound playing through the night. Jungkook furrowed his brows, looking out of the window to see if there was a storm coming – if yes, he better get Godzilla inside and told the other animals to seek shelter, and maybe cast a quick spell to keep his plants unharmed. But then he saw flower petals flying through the air, following an aim and softly falling onto the doorstep of his backdoor. Jungkook rolled his eyes and leaned back against the counter, visibly relaxed.
“Seriously…he’s so dramatic,” He mumbled to himself as he watched the petals flying up, twirling in the air fast until Jimin manifested himself on his doorstep.
“I heard someone needs help to rub oil on a human body?” Jimin asked, giggling softly, reminding Jungkook of the wind chime that now has stilled.
“That’s the only thing you got out of our message? Not ‘desperate’ or ‘life and death situation’?” Yoongi answered courtly but secretly he was relieved. A lot. With Jimin they could have a serious chance here to get Namjoon back to normal. Jimin smiled back at him and Yoongi could feel a pang of arousal that he willed down. Jimin easily had that effect on others but Yoongi was used to it by now. He wasn’t opposed to it, but there were more pressing matters at hand. Nonetheless he registered that Jimin looked just as sweet as usual; wearing an oversized sweater made him look even more soft and delicate as he was, his sparkling eyes and rosy cheeks definitely not how one would envision a witch. He knew that Jimin’s skin would be soft and warm and his lips even softer, plush and inviting and oh so skilled.  If the situation hadn’t been so serious he might have indulged himself enough to kiss Jimin once because he knew that Jimin lived for gentle kisses and full attention - but he couldn’t do this while Namjoon was in the other room with his time slowly running out on him.
“Oh yeah, I got that part about ‘death’ too,” Jimin flashed both witches a smile and walked over to Jungkook,. “So, there’s this deathly curse and we want to purify him as much as possible so we can cast an even bigger spell as soon as possible? With the power of three?” Jimin questioned and raised his eyebrows looking at the other two, but they only hesitantly nodded, “But we don’t really know what kind of spell? What if…” Jimin took out a vessel from Jungkook’s shelf and started pouring in the oil carefully, “We combine spells? Creating a new one from the most powerful spells? There’s nothing I could find in the books, so maybe it’s time for us to come up with something new.”
He could see how excited Jimin was to do this, they didn’t do spells together often. For Yoongi though there was too much at stake. He was afraid it wouldn’t help or wouldn’t work or Namjoon would freak out. He was nervous and it started to show. Nonetheless he agreed with Jimin, “Yes, let’s do it like this. But we have to be careful. And Namjoon… he’s new to all of this so please do me a favor and try to ease him into it instead of going full blown love witch on him. He’s confused and vulnerable and surrounded by strangers so I should better talk to him first and explain and then give him some time to think about it, instead of just going in like let’s rub you with oil.”
“We don’t really have time. But it’s just a little bit of oil to purify him plus a small spell,” Jimin nodded over to Yoongi, “We should do it tonight, tomorrow and right before we cast the spell. Third time’s a charm don’t worry. He will be alright.” He placed a hand on Yoongi’s back pushing him lightly forward while at the same time his touch was spreading a soothing warmth through his body. They walked up the stairs together, leaving Jungkook to gather the important books they needed and to make them tea that would induce their energy levels and help them to study throughout the night. “Go ahead,” Jimin’s voice was soft, motioning for Yoongi to go in first.
He was thankful that Jimin had given him the opportunity to talk to Namjoon in private even though knowing Jimin he might try to eavesdrop on them. Still he wanted Namjoon to at least have the illusion of free will in this. He knocked and when he heard an affirmative sound went inside. “Hey.” His smile was a little too guilty to calm Namjoon down, so he quickly added “How are you feeling?” Small talk, innocent conversation, making sure Namjoon still trusted him in a way… and then he would ask. However, the tension was killing him and so he blurted out, “By the way we might have found something that might help you a little. But it has to be us three because the more witches the more powerful the spell gets. And you might have to be naked. Partially. And I… there’s oil involved.”
“Oil? Naked? We haven’t even had our second date yet, Yoongi.” Namjoon chuckled but he was still nervous. He had no clue about what it all meant or why he needed to be naked? Partially? Wait…what? Three? “Oh, you said there’s another one. I remember…and you found a spell?” Namjoon propped himself up on his elbows, “C-can we do it now? Or…”
That wasn’t the reaction that he had expected  or that he would have given considering his very unhelpful explanation. “Uhm, yes, the others are getting ready right this very minute because they think it would be best to do it as soon as possible and I agree but… Namjoon, aren’t you scared? I just told you to take part in some experimental ritual and you are trusting me enough to go along? Despite after what happened last time you got involved with magic. I mean I’m definitely not complaining, I thought I had to convince you and talk you into it and this is way easier I just… You’re okay, right? You’re not thinking that this is a dream or trying to convince me you’re fine before grabbing the next best knife and trying to escape? Not that it would work, the knife thing, but… okay, just tell me if you’re okay please.”
“Do I have a choice?” Namjoon sat up a little more, “I said I would trust you. And no, I’m not okay. I am fucking scared. There’s a lot of things in my mind I don’t understand. It’s like every dark thought I’ve ever had…times a million. It’s exhausting, I want it gone. It’s worse when I’m alone…” He looked at Yoongi with a faint smile. “So, what do you need me to do?”
His heart ached at Namjoon’s words, but he was still glad that the other was completely honest with him. That way he felt like there could still be hope for them. “Come with me.” He smiled reassuringly and helped Namjoon up. “You can leave your clothes on until we opened the circle. You’ll have to step in as unguarded as possible and it doesn’t simply end with your clothes. Try not to hold back. You can let go within the circle. Let it out, whatever it is. You don’t have to be scared, we’re witches, we can handle ourselves - and we don’t get spooked easily. So, if you have to yell out your frustration or scream at me for getting you into this mess it’s fine. We’ll try to cleanse your body and you can help us by cleansing your mind.”
Namjoon reached out to intertwine his hands with Yoongi without saying a word, letting the witch pull him along. In the hallway his eyes met Jimin’s and his cheeks were blushing red the moment his gaze fell onto Jimin’s. Only the tug at his hand let him not think much further about how soft his cheeks must feel or how it would be like to kiss his soft skin. Namjoon shook his head and tried to keep his focus.
He didn’t even know the boy’s name.
Jungkook was waiting in the backroom, preparing the circle and everything they needed. Meanwhile Jimin held on tightly to the little vessel that was filled with the oil, stepping closer to Namjoon. He let his eyes follow the lines of the humans body, studying his broad shoulders and long legs. Carefully Jimin reached out for him, making Namjoon jerk in surprise, as he let his hand massage over his shoulder blades, walking around and in front of him. His hands slowly caressed down his chest, feeling how heavily Namjoon was breathing. His heartbeat quickened underneath Jimin’s touch. Namjoon twitched a little, a sudden urge to pull Jimin in, making him stiffen up and tightening his hold on Yoongi’s hand.
“Introductions, anyone?” Yoongi didn’t know where his sudden snappiness came from but seeing Namjoon and Jimin so close to each other with Jimin’s touches being almost intimate he felt… on edge. He should know better, it was in Jimin’s nature to be seductive but still he rather diverted the attention back to him uncomfortably than having to watch them fall into each other’s gaze. Right now, he felt like he was the one with the curse at least it looked as if Namjoon had his emotions better under control than he himself.
“Jimin,” The love witch whispered and flashed the human a bright smile, “Glad to meet you Namjoon.” He stepped away from him, walking around the circle that Jungkook had created. With a snap of his fingers the lights turned off and only the candles around them lit up the room. “Much cozier, right?” Jimin’s voice was soft as he rolled his shoulders back and took a step into the circle, watching Yoongi do the same, while still holding onto Namjoon’s hand. “Sweety, you have to let go. You can hold each other’s hands in a second again…just get undressed first, then step into the circle. Careful not to break it.” Jimin got down onto his knees, placing the vessel next to him, “It’s best if you lay down then or else you might hurt yourself.”
Yoongi only hesitantly let go of Namjoon’s hand. Jimin was absolutely right and he was thankful that both of the others were there but if he could have done it without someone watching them for safety or lending a helping hand he would have preferred to do it alone. Who knew if he would ever be able to be intimate with Namjoon again. He had looked forward to it, all of this, getting to know him, then after a few dates figuring out who would be brave enough to do the first step and kiss the other. He wondered how it could have been like if he hadn’t majorly messed up.
Namjoon felt incredibly uncomfortable undressing in front of three men and a cat that he barely knew. Even though he had gotten to know Yoongi a bit more over the couple of weeks that he had been at the shop, it was still too intimate, too personal to undress completely. He took in a sharp breath and started undressing quickly, trying not to think about this further with his eyes focused on the floor instead of facing the others. When he was completely naked, standing upright, there was a gasp coming from them (Namjoon couldn’t see who it was) and for a moment he thought they were in shock because of the curse, but then a whistle followed by a soft giggle made him gaze up into Jimin’s eyes who were fixated on something completely else.
“Oh my,…it’s…impressive,” He mumbled, turning to wink at Yoongi teasingly, “The curse, of course.”
“Jimin! Don’t you dare..!” He swallowed the rest of the sentence before he could seriously insult the other. “You have enough boys to ogle on a regular basis. Please just concentrate.” Yoongi tried hard not to let his gaze wander over Namjoons bod no matter how tempting it was, instead he had decided on looking Namjoon straight in the eyes. The human trusted them enough to bare himself like this, the least he could do was show respect and not abuse his trust for his own motifs or pleasure. Namjoon switched his gaze onto Yoongi’s easily, feeling a lot calmer when he looked at him, stepping into the circle carefully and walking closer. He sat down, pulling his knees in for a moment and only when Jimin pushed him back on his shoulder did he lay down completely. Instinctively Namjoon had scooted closer to Yoongi instead of Jimin, his hand placed onto Yoongi’s thigh to keep himself grounded. “Close your eyes and relax,” Jimin ordered and held up the vessel high up over Namjoon’s body turning to Yoongi, “You ready?”
“Yeah,” He had noticed how Namjoon was seeking comfort through staying close to him and it had him feeling even more protective. “It's Alright, Namjoon. You are safe with us.” While Jimin started chanting, pouring oil over his hands to warm it up Yoongi gave the instructions. “We will start at your head and then go down to your feet. it will stimulate the blood circulation and drain your Lymph system so you should drink lots of fluids after this. We'll prepare cleansing tea and lemon water for you. While we're working you should keep your eyes closed. Imagine how everything dark and vile is leaving your body through your feet. Breathe deeply, down into the pit if your stomach. Every time you breathe in imagine inhaling violet flames that fill your whole body, transforming everything you don't need into pure light. Every time you breathe out exhale the old flames and inhale new ones. If anything feels wrong or you have to stop try to find out if it's really you or the curse speaking. Though if you really can't do it just tell me and we'll stop immediately. I've got you. You won't be harmed.”
Namjoon nodded, twitching when the first drop of oil touched his body. Closing his eyes, Namjoon took a deep breath, “Okay. I-I am ready.”
It was what Jimin needed to hear making the love witch start pouring oil onto Yoongi’s hands and then place one hand on Namjoon’s cheek. Namjoon felt awfully out of place, trying not to think about the current situation too much.
Two, very handsome witches, oiling him up while he was naked.
They were chanting a tune, something soft and melodic and Namjoon switched his focus onto the sound. There was a warmth spreading through his body whenever their hands were touching his body, like little sparks flying until they grew stronger and the magic began flowing through his body meeting the curse. Namjoon screamed out in pain, writhing under their hold.
“Shit!” Yoongi cursed and immediately put a hand over his mouth. He wasn't supposed to curse or feel anything that could spoil the purity of their spell. But he hadn't expected Namjoon to react so violently, maybe some mild discomfort but not…this. He was writhing under their hands and Yoongi felt guilty for not doing this sooner, for taking too long, for cursing Namjoon in the first place. “I'm sorry, Namjoon. I'm so sorry!”
Jimin’s hand snapped forward, holding onto Yoongi’s wrist, “Don’t stop! It’s the curse reacting to the purity. It’s not him. You know it, you’ve done this before.” The love witch looked at his friend in a mixture of confusion and eagerness, helping him place his hands back on Namjoon’s chest and nodding reassuringly. Jimin closed his eyes again, chanting the same spell repeatedly, trying to concentrate even more now that he had seen how hard it was for Yoongi.
“You can do this, Namjoon,” Jimin whispered, letting his hands wander further down his body, rubbing the oil into his body. Namjoon was trying his best to concentrate on the voices and ignore the pain in his shoulder blade and arm, where the curse had manifested itself in black streaks forming almost beautiful symbols and patterns. “Just fucking get it over with now!” He hissed and Jimin giggled in response, taking Yoongi’s wrist to shook him out of his stupor, “C’mon, it’s not much anymore.” The lights around them were flickering and even Jungkook was holding his breath, while Hobi was next to him meowing in distress, a small, green turtle on his back that had tucked his head in.
Jimin was leading Yoongi’s hand, feeling him tremble and seeing the worry in his eyes. “Focus, witch!” Jimin reminded him once more and urged Yoongi on to rub the oil into Namjoon’s thighs that began to shiver. “Everything needs to be covered,” Jimin ordered, letting his own hands soothe down the human’s thighs as he closed his eyes again, chanting the spell once more. With Jimin’s guidance he managed to pull through without getting distracted by his own emotions. Together they finished the full ritual, covering Namjoon completely with their magic (except for his private parts, Yoongi had drawn the line at that). It didn’t take that long, but he nonetheless felt exhausted afterwards which wasn’t a good sign because it meant that it had taken a lot of energy from them both to purify the curse. Though it also meant that it must have an effect on Namjoons body as the magic couldn’t have just vanished into thin air. While Jimin was opening the circle, releasing the elements from their protection and Jungkook from his watch Yoongi helped Namjoon up and gave him a bathrobe to cover himself up with (in case he didn’t want to get oil on his clothes). “How are you feeling? Did it lift some of the darkness from your mind?”
Namjoon rolled up the sleeve of the bathrobe to look at the curse that was still beating under his wrist – only now it didn’t feel so heavy, not as strong as before. “I feel…weird,” He rubbed over his face with the palm of his bathrobe to get rid of some of the oil. “I don’t know,” Furrowing his brows into a deep crease the human could feel the headache settling in, the lack of water showing it’s affects quickly making him feel dizzy and way too wobbly on his feet. “I just want to lay down.”
“It’s okay, you did really well. Thank you for trusting us with this.” He gave the other two a sign that he would take care of Namjoon first and help them cleaning up later and then led Namjoon back to his room where he sat him down. “Just stay put, I’ll be back in a sec with some water and then you can rest a bit and drink some more until you’re well rested enough to tackle the full problem. We weakened the curse and while you rest and become even stronger we three will throw our magic together and create a spell that will fix it permanently so when you wake up we’re good to go and we might be able to get you home in your own bed by tonight.” He smiled as if it was his own life that would be saved by the current development. Namjoon’s hand snapped forward, slowly wrapping his fingers around Yoongi’s delicate wrist. “Please, don’t go…” He looked up at Yoongi, his voice sounding a bit hoarse, “Can’t you just…magically let water appear?” A soft chuckle came from him, “I’m not sure if I’ll be able to stand for too long and I’d like to take a shower. Just to make sure that I’m not…just wait, here, please. I’m…feeling a bit dizzy. Please, stay.”
Yoongi frowned. “I.. I can’t right now. Or I could try but it would spill all over I guess. Doing magic is like.. you could compare it to sports, if you did an intense session you might feel a little weak for a while and your muscles might give in so you can’t do normal tasks as well that you would normally ace.” He helped Namjoon up again. “But I can bring you to the bathroom where you can shower and the water’s drinkable. It all comes from a clear well that Jungkook also uses to water his beloved plants with.”
“Thank you,” Namjoon answered with a smile. His hand found its way to Yoongi’s without any hesitation. It felt normal to do so. Their hands fitting together like pieces of a puzzle. While Namjoon was cleaning himself up, drinking almost a liter of water after his shower, Jimin was studying a spell making Jungkook take notes from time to time downstairs.
“Mh,” Jimin leaned back, crossing his arms in front of his chest, “I never thought I would witness this.” Jungkook turned around, placing his familiar into the little pocket of his shirt, who was cocking his head over the fabric cutely, “What do you mean?”
“Just…Yoongi, you know.”
“What about him?”
“Yoongi is falling in love…,” The love witch cocked his head to the side as a smile brightened up his whole expression, while Jungkook’s jaw dropped as he stared at the closed door where only minutes ago Yoongi had vanished into. “No way.”
A/N: There you go! Another chapter! Don’t forget to leave us a comment on how you think it will go on ;) Will they be able to redo the spell? We’ll find out soon...
