So, today I was on Reddit reading about KOSA, and I found this on r/AO3

Here's the Invest in Child Safety Act, it only has five cosponsors compared to KOSA's sixty-three.. wonder why..

Anyways, I was wondering, could steering reps away from KOSA while leading them towards other and SAFER bills help? :P

If these bills really ARE safer, wouldn't it give us a better chance of KOSA not being passed if we gave our Senators and Reps examples of alternative bills they could support?

Like, instead of just saying "DON'T DO THIS!!!" We could say "DON'T DO THIS, but THIS is a better alternative that will keep everyone safe AND actually be helpful."

I have a feeling most of the Democrats supporting this bill have fallen for the "We're protecting the children!!" farse. So, let's not just tell them the problem, but offer a solution! An alternative that will ACTUALLY protect children.

I posted this as it's own thing, but I wanted to add it to this update thread so people are more likely to see it.

Lou theory time

elle fanning, who i'm assuming is adult Lou, always has these very faint threads on her. at first i though it was just when she was floating:

what are these things? obviously, the clearest connection i can make, especially since that puppet character featured so prominently in the trailer, is puppet strings.

but puppets need a puppeteer. who do the strings lead back to?

my theory for where Lou went is that she grew up on the beach, which is why she's older and Sam and Fragile are seemingly the same age and why she was found in a chrysalis covered in tar. let's not forget she seems to bleed tar with timefall effects from her suckers (?):

all relating back to tar and chiralium and cephalapods, three things we know are indicative of a connection to the beach.

(and it seems like Lou's inherited her dad's aphenphosmphobia too. her skin goes red and gets hives the closer the doctor gets to her arm.)

but the beach is famously a solitary place. and Lou can't have been alone since toddlerhood (this is assumption based on the first trailer. it's possible that she 'died' and disappeared later on in life, but likely she got shot the same time Fragile did) and on top of all that she's got clothes! who dressed her?

so far we're aware of only a few characters who can travel to and from the beach:

Sam (with Amelie's help). it cant be him because obvious reasons.

Fragile. unlikely. she apologizes for 'misleading' Sam but i think it's more likely she was talking about the nature of the 're-connection' rather than Lou.

Higgs. getting warmer. he obviously knows something, and his hair floats when he touches the empty pod, but it's inconclusive.

Amelie. the only one for sure still on the beach. the only other character witch weird bodily shit going on (eternal umbilical cord, the Bridget/ Amelie split).

and then we have the masks:

the gold chiral mask is Higgs's staple, but let's not forget who gave him the idea. in both the skeletal half mask from the first game and the full face red mask from this game, Amelie did it first. the gold is based on her black skeleton mask Die-Hardman wears for most of the game and the red is just her face, like a pharaoh's death mask.

Lou and Amelie are linked somehow. and the puppet strings make me feel like that connection is not going to be a happy one.

[ 5:42 AM ] — nakahara chuuya

chuuya x gn!reader. fluff. warnings: swearing. 0.5k wc.

it isn’t until you hear chuuya come up behind you that you realize it’s already morning. you’re nursing a cup of now-cold coffee in your hands, and you’re amazed that you haven’t dropped it even though you’ve been zoned out for the past hour.

“you okay?” chuuya’s voice is thick with sleep as he wraps his arms around you.

you nod. “i just woke up a little early.”

chuuya lets out a quiet hum, and rests his chin on your shoulder, before shivering. “it’s fucking freezing out here.”

the sun hasn’t risen yet, so the balcony is still cold, but you were so lost in your thoughts you didn’t feel the chill. chuuya goes back inside before returning with two hoodies. he pulls one on and chucks the other at you.

it’s one of his, an old, faded grey thing that you’ve ‘borrowed’ from him more times than you can count. he pretends to get mad about it, but he’s not. not really. that’s just how chuuya is, grumpy and sharp-tongued, but kind nevertheless. attentive even though you don’t ask him to be.

the two of you sit in silence for a while— not that it’s ever really quiet when you live in the middle of yokohama. even pre-sunrise, the air is filled with sounds of traffic and the howls of stray dogs. you don’t mind though. you’ve grown to like the sounds of the waking city.

eventually, you turn to go back into your shared apartment, calling out, “want some coffee?” as an afterthought, because you know chuuya hates the way it tastes. as expected, he shakes his head, so you simply make yourself a cup, and return outside.

chuuya’s sitting quietly, gazing out at the city as sunlight starts to hit the buildings, coloring the previously dark sky shades of blue and yellow.

“how’s the hangover?” you ask, a teasing lilt to your voice. he glares at you, before massaging his temple and muttering, “what hangover?”

you hold back a laugh and drape yourself over his lap, setting your cup down on the table carefully.

“good morning,” you whisper, pressing a kiss to his neck. the faint emerging sunlight tinges his hair gold as he sleepily kisses you back, still smelling faintly of alcohol and last night’s cologne.

you thread your fingers through his hair, gently playing with the soft locks as he lets out a content hum and relaxes his body.

his fingers still bear last night’s rings, and his many piercings reflect the light whenever he tilts his head, but he’s wearing fluffy pompompurin slippers. that’s just like chuuya, you think to yourself with a little smile. mean and scary and so, so cute.

he spots your smile and grumbles, “makin’ fun of me in your head, aren’t you.”

“maybe,” you say, taking hold of his hand in yours and linking your fingers together.

he huffs, but his face is relaxed. chuuya doesn’t always smile when he’s happy, but you’ve learned to pay attention to the other things— the way the crease between his brows disappears, the ways his eyes crinkle up ever so slightly, the way his ears get tinged pink when he’s flustered.

“brat,” he says, tightening his arms around you, making you smile and lean into his touch.

you used to wake up alone, but now, mornings are synonymous with chuuya.

notes: constantly thinking about domestic life with chuuya 😵‍💫😵‍💫 also i’m a firm believer that chuuya loves sanrio & u cant convince me otherwise

at the 2019 japanese gp, max and charles hit eachother into turn two.

max after the race on the crash:

“i just dont get it. there was no need to risk so much in turn two. cause at the end of the day, both of us had to pit.”

2019 austrian gp, 3 laps left into the race max overtook charles and won the grandprix.

charles at the postrace pressconference:

“as i said, ive done exactly the same thing from the first and the second lap so i didnt expect any contact on the second lap. as max said, i think he braked a little bit deeper. i dont know if he lost it or not but then there was the contact. i felt like i was quite strong in traction. on the first attempt i managed to have better traction and have my position. on the second one i couldnt do that cause i was off track.”
