relationship status : single as a pringle in the lonely sort of way but also content to be so - definitely in love with many many fictional characters, and I’ve been making new internet friends, which really makes up for that gap by 98%
favorite color : yellow. not in an obnoxious shade, but the kind of yellow that feels like warm sunshine on your shoulders, the yellow that is the soft glow of the sun in the mornings, the kind of yellow that’s just warm and inviting without being crazy but also still vibrant - that kind of yellow.
song stuck in my head : Only Yesterday, the Carpenters - I don’t know why but it’s there. hasn’t driven me crazy yet so that’s nice.
last song I listened to : Delirious by Prince, like from the John Candy movie
three favorite foods : shepherds pie - but like… how my mom makes it with beef roast trimmings and corn and mashed potatoes. Simple as that.
there’s also a Cajun Mac and cheese recipe that I have that is absolutely delightful and is probably a top favorite (Mac and Cheese, no, PASTA in general is delightful).
Crepes - you can literally do so many things with them - my grandma did leftovers from Thanksgiving in crepes once and it was magical. But you can also have the sweet side with all sorts of wonderful things as well - they’re diverse and I love that.
last thing I googled : Haunted Chocolatier - my friend showed me a video that had mentioned it and I got all excited because I love Stardew Valley - this one doesn’t have a release date yet but it looks like fun!!
dream trip : I’ve always wanted to go tour the Mediterranean - Italy and Greece specifically - but then dip down to Egypt and see some of the things there too.
anything I want right now : someone to finish my quilt for me, a warm cookie, and snuggles. that’s it.
tagging : I literally don’t know any people, but @nobody33333333 and @sophieswundergarten are two that I would love to hear from! No pressure though, I know you’re both busy :)

The Welcome Christmas Surprise (Natasha Romanoff x Wife! Reader)
Tumblr media
3rd Person POV
Natasha wakes early Christmas Eve morning, watching her wife sleep. (Y/n) had taken to sleeping on her side, facing Natasha, recently.
Natasha smiles tenderly at the (H/c) haired woman, resting her head back on her memory foam pillow, her dark ginger hair splayed out on the pillow.
(Y/n) shifts drowsily, her hand coming to rest lightly on her stomach.
Natasha turns to her side, watching her wife with a soft look in her eyes.
The door squeaks softly as the Bohemian Shepherd puppy sticks his head into the room.
Tumblr media
Bear springs lightly onto the bed and lies down at (Y/n)’s feet.
(Y/n) sleepily opens her eyes, smiling drowsily at Natasha. “Morning, Nat,” (Y/n) says, blinking at the light streaming through the burgundy curtains.
"Morning, Love," Natasha says, leaning over, and placing a kiss on (Y/n)'s lips.
(Y/n) lets out a happy little hum, shifting closer towards her wife; her eyes fluttering closed again.
But then, (Y/n)'s eyes flash open. "What time is it?" she asks, panicking slightly.
"Hey," Natasha soothes, rubbing her thumb atop her wife's hand. "It's only eight."
(Y/n) lets out an uncomfortable noise as she raises herself from the bed, and Natasha moves her wife's pillow against the wooden headboard, and (Y/n) rests her back against the pillow.
(Y/n) turns her head slightly to the right, and smiles at Natasha.
"The others should be here around three," Natasha tells (Y/n), and the (H/c) haired woman nods thoughtfully.
Natasha and (Y/n) had bought their own house a few weeks ago, just before they had gotten married. The other Avengers, as well as Daisy, Wanda's girlfriend, Pepper, and Morgan, were coming for Christmas, and to also see the house with the couple's things in it, for the first time.
"I think I should make Christmas dinner," (Y/n) tells Natasha, a teasing glint in her eyes.
"I agree," Natasha says with a chuckle.
"Yeah, but you better help," (Y/n) says with a laugh.
"Yeah, but I burn water, so," Natasha says and (Y/n)'s eyes flicker with amusement.
"You can cut potatoes," (Y/n) replies simply.
Natasha smiles and (Y/n) leans over, placing a kiss on the redhead's lips before she gets up from the bed and walks over to the bathroom. Bear jumps up and trots after the woman before she can close the door.
A few minutes later, (Y/n) emerges from the bathroom, wearing a pair of jeans, and a Stitch Christmas sweater.
Tumblr media
Bear trots at (Y/n)'s feet before he jumps onto the bed.
(Y/n) smiles at her wife before she climbs back into the bed, moving to snuggle up to Natasha's side, the redhead wrapping an arm around (Y/n)'s waist, pulling the (H/c) haired woman even closer. (Y/n) rests her head against Natasha's shoulder and she begins fiddling with the ends of Natasha's hair.
"You're so quiet today," Natasha says, looking at (Y/n) thoughtfully.
"I'm just excited to give you my gift," (Y/n) says simply, her eyes sparkling.  "Now, if you excuse me, I'm off to start dinner at eight-thirty in the morning."
Natasha chuckles and (Y/n) kisses her cheek before getting up from the bed, Bear trotting after her.
Around two-o-clock, Wanda Maximoff, and (Y/n)'s cousin, Daisy Johnson arrive.
Wanda hugs (Y/n) tightly and Daisy smiles at her cousin brightly.
"Here, Wanda made this," Daisy tells (Y/n), handing her a nine by thirteen casserole dish of sweet potato casserole.
Daisy smiles at her girlfriend as (Y/n) takes the dish.
"Thanks, Tremors," (Y/n) nudges Daisy, "and you, Wanda."
"No problem," Wanda says, following (Y/n) into the kitchen as Daisy takes the bag of gifts that she was carrying and sets it by the Christmas tree. Natasha smiles at the brunette as Daisy sits down on the couch, the two beginning to chat animatedly.
"I'm making pie," (Y/n) says, smiling down at Wanda. "Wanna help?"
"Of course," Wanda says.
"Pumpkin or pecan or both?" (Y/n) asks, pulling ingredients from the pantry.
"Daisy's favorite is pecan and everyone likes pumpkin, so, I'd say both," Wanda says, making (Y/n) laugh.
"So, how are you and Daisy?" (Y/n) asks as she and Wanda start.
"Good," Wanda says, smiling at the thought. "How are you and Nat?" the girl liked to keep tabs on her mentors.
"Good," (Y/n) grins down at the piecrust she was rolling out.
"You're so excited about something," Wanda says, noticing the change in (Y/n)'s behavior.
It wasn't as though (Y/n) wasn't ever cheerful, but Wanda notes that she seemed a lot more excited and cheerful at the moment. Wanda chalks it to be Christmas spirit and drops it.
The doorbell rings again, and Natasha stands up from her seat next to Daisy. Natasha opens the door and smiles at Tony and Pepper, and their young daughter Morgan.
"Hey, Red," Tony says, setting down a box of gifts and hugging his daughter-in-law.
"Hi, Tony."
"Hi, Nat," Pepper smiles at the redhead, a covered dish in her hands.
"Pepper," Natasha nods to the auburn-haired woman.
"Hi, Natty," Morgan says happily, jumping into Natasha's arms.
"Heya Morgan," Natasha hugs the little girl. "Come on in, you guys," Natasha steps aside so the three could walk inside.
Tony carries the box of gifts and set them around the tree while Pepper carries the dish into the kitchen where she finds (Y/n) and Wanda sliding four pies - one pecan and three pumpkin - into the oven, and she sets the dish on the counter.
"Pepper!" (Y/n) rushes over to hug her step-mother.
Pepper laughs, returning the hug warmly, "Hi, (Y/n), Wanda."
The witch smiles at Pepper and accepts the hug Pepper offers.
"It's good to see you, (Y/n)," Pepper says as she sits down on one of the barstools against the island.
"As am I," (Y/n) says, sliding a ham out of a second oven.
"You've been busy?" Pepper asks.
"Well, you know Tasha can't cook, but it hasn't been too bad," (Y/n) answers, looking up from the mashed potatoes and gravy on the stovetop. "She helped me chop a lot of things."
By three-fifteen, everyone had arrived. Steve, his boyfriend Bucky, Sam, (Y/n)'s uncle Rhodey, Bruce, Clint, Laura, Lila, Cooper, Nathanial, Maria Hill, Phil Coulson, and his team - Mack, Jemma Simmons, Leo Fitz, Melinda May, and Elena Rodriguez - and finally Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter.
Phil walks into the kitchen to find his honorary daughter pulling things out of one of the ovens.
"Hi, (Y/n)," he says, taking a potholder and pulling things out of the second.
"Dad, when did you guys get here?" (Y/n) asks, looking over at Coulson.
"The team and I got here a few minutes ago. Let's just say Cap was a little surprised to see me," Coulson says and (Y/n) chuckles.
"Wanna help me carry this out into the dining room?" (Y/n) asks, grabbing a dish from off the granite countertop.
As Natasha sees (Y/n) and Coulson bringing out dishes, she excuses herself from her conversation with Wanda and Daisy and goes to help; a moment later, everyone was helping move food into the dining room.
Once everything, except the deserts, was on the table, Natasha nudges her wife into the chair at the head of the table.
(Y/n) stands up once everyone's seated at the table and everyone turns to look at her.
"We're really happy that you guys could come out today," (Y/n) says, then pauses. "That was the most formal sounding I've been in my whole life," she smiles and everyone chuckles. "Eat food, it's there," (Y/n) sits down, and everyone cheers.
Natasha smiles at her wife and passes her a bowl of mashed potatoes.
(Y/n) winks at Natasha as she takes a scoop of the potatoes and passes them to Wanda, who was sitting on her left.
The conversations at the dinner table were cheerful and Wanda, Pepper, and Jemma help (Y/n) clean the dishes before everyone sits around the living room to open gifts.
Natasha smiles as (Y/n) leans into her on one of the many couches in the living room.
"You okay?" Natasha murmurs in (Y/n)'s ear.
"Yeah, just a little tired," (Y/n) answers with a tender smile.
The group opens their gifts until (Y/n) gets up towards the end and grabs a final gift from the back of her closet.
(Y/n) stands in the doorway, watching as everyone opens their last gifts.
After a moment, (Y/n) walks over and kneels in front of Morgan.
"Wait until everyone is done, then open this one," (Y/n) murmurs in the girl's ear.
Morgan looks curiously at her older sister but then nods.
Natasha glances at (Y/n) as she walks back over and sits beside her on the couch, scooting over, their shoulders brushing.
(Y/n) suppresses a grin as Morgan opens her last gift from (Y/n).
Morgan looks excitedly up at (Y/n) as she reads what's written on the shirt.
"What does it say?" Tony asks, the excited look on his youngest daughter's eyes making him curious.
Morgan turns the shirt around so everyone can see what's written on it, Only the best sister gets promoted to an aunt.
Natasha looks wide-eyed at (Y/n) as everyone begins to give their congratulations.
(Y/n) nods and Natasha wraps her wife in a tight hug. "Are you really pregnant?" Natasha murmurs into (Y/n)'s ear.
"Yeah," (Y/n) breathes, placing a kiss on her wife's lips.
"I'm so excited," Natasha says, then looks over at Tony and Coulson, whose eyes were wide. "I think you broke your dads."
(Y/n) kisses Natasha on the cheek before walking over to Tony, being stopped a couple of times by her friends, who continue to offer their congratulations, but then move off to congratulate Natasha.
(Y/n) sits down beside Tony on the couch, and places a hand on his arm. This jolts Tony out of his reverie.
"Dad, are you okay?" (Y/n) asks, her worry showing in her eyes.
Tony's eyes soften, and he wraps his daughter in a hug.
(Y/n) lets out a laugh, returning the hug.
"I'm happy for you two," Tony says, pulling his daughter to look at her arm's length away.
"Aww, thanks Grandad," (Y/n) says with a small laugh, leaning forward and kissing her father on the cheek. "Love you. Now I've got to go shock Coulson out of his own reverie."
(Y/n) crosses the living room, glancing back over her shoulder at all their friends and family congregated around Natasha, and the bright smile on the redhead's face.
"Congratulations," Jemma says, bounding over to (Y/n) before she can reach Coulson.
"Thanks, Jemma," (Y/n) steps forward, wrapping her scientist friend in a tight hug.
"You going to help Coulson?" Jemma asks, her British accent prominent in her question.
"Sadly, he still gets shocked by things that come out of my mouth," (Y/n) grumbles.
"Well, good luck," Jemma says with a smile, and Fitz, who had walked over, grins at (Y/n).
As (Y/n) reaches Coulson, she sits down on the couch. The two have a similar conversation to (Y/n) and Tony's, and it ends with a hug.
"Now, go see your wife before she kills us all," Coulson says and (Y/n) looks over, catching Natasha's eye.
"I guess I will then," (Y/n) rises to her feet. "Love you, Dad."
Coulson smiles. "Love you too, kid."
(Y/n) crosses the living room, and makes her way through the group surrounding Natasha, and sitting down on the couch beside her. Natasha wraps her arm around (Y/n)'s waist, and (Y/n) lies her head on Natasha's shoulder.
After about half-an-hour, everyone clears out of the house, leaving Natasha and (Y/n) alone.
"I can't believe we're going to have kids," Natasha says, leaning her head against (Y/n)'s.
"I'm so excited," (Y/n) murmurs, closing her eyes. Bear jumps onto the couch, resting his head on her knee.

VEGAN SHEPHERD’S HAND PIES 🥧
St. Patrick’s Day or literally ANY other day of the year is a great reason to whip up a batch of @micks_magic ‘s latest kitchen wizardry. I’m talking an edible plant-based pocket people! My favorite kind of vegetable vehicle, why do we eat food any other way? These hand pies are the perfect size to carry a sumptuous combo of TVP (that’s textured veggie protein), mashed potatoes, and a delicious veg mixture. Baked in a flaky vegan dough you can decorate to your liking, and make a big ol’ batch ahead of time to enjoy throughout the week. And throw a couple my way, yeah?
Not even remotely a Jewish holiday, as a kiddo my synagogue would still celebrate the holy season of potatoes and right around now. We’d find any number of reasons to fry up knish, latkes, you name it. So trust me when I tell ya a convenient mashed potato recipe fits right in with the calendar.
So if you’re cooking for others, these shepherd’s hand pies are a great way to come together in the kitchen for an afternoon / weekend project. Or make a batch to drop off for friends and share the love! Good mood food in a sweet lil pocket makes for good friends (and travel companions.)
These versatile pies take on your favorite flavors or preferred meat-alternatives. You can make the most of the veggies or spices you have on hand. And even sub out your tubers. Get creative with your fillings and you can have a new combo every week! I mean, why stop at St. Patty’s day right?
What’s in your hand pie?? #closedloopcooking

Any tips on how to accept your body and your weight?
I’ve been trying to loose weight since forever and it’s hard and I want to keep going but not make it my priority and not let it really affect me but it’s hard.
I don’t really have tips for how to feel comfortable in your own body because that’s something per individual :/ But I have some tips for helping you reach your goals!
First, being in a caloric deficit and consistency are the only two things you need for fat loss. The issue that most people have — myself included — is consistency. You have to find something you can sustain for the rest of your life, because once you lose the weight you have to be able to keep it off so it’s not like you lose it and then can eat whatever you want. You’ll end up just gaining it all back, especially if you’re someone like me who has an unhealthy relationship with food and struggle with binging. So these diets like weight watchers, Atkins, Jenny Craig, or even things like keto or a low carb diet don’t really work because they’re not sustainable. You lose it at first and then you gain it back. And so you blame yourself thinking “Oh I just didn’t do it well enough and need to get back at it again” when in reality the programs aren’t meant to last forever. That’s how they get you to go back to it. They make you think it worked because you lost some weight for a bit and so you repeatedly buy their products. These diets are only useful as tools. They only help if you understand why you’re losing weight on them.
So you have to find something that works for you! If you tried something and lost weight but you weren’t able to keep it off and ended up gaining it back, then it’s not something that worked for you. As Albert Einstein once said, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.” Try something different! I’m still trying to find the thing that works for me, 12 years of losing weight and gaining some back repeatedly.
Right now I’m trying to eat lower calorie foods that will fill me up, and that taste really good. For example, these are the kinds of meals I’m eating now:
Brownies: 280 calories for the whole plate (cocoa powder, chocolate protein powder, flour, baking powder, pinch of salt, Diet Coke, Lily’s white chocolate chips, topped with crushed reduced fat graham crackers)
Tumblr media
Cheeseburger crunch wrap with salad: 430 calories for the meal (whole Joseph’s lavash bread, beyond meat crumbles [can use lean ground beef], onions, tomatoes, pickles, ketchup, mustard, reduced fat shredded cheese) and for the salad (cucumber, tomatoes, green onions, spinach, 0 calorie honey mustard)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anabolic chocolate ice cream: 365 calories for the bowl (cocoa powder, PEScience chocolate cupcake protein powder, xanthan gum, topped with sugar free chocolate sauce and a fiber one brownie bar)
Tumblr media
Breakfast burrito: 380 calories (whole Joesph’s lavash bread, 1 egg, 3 servings of egg whites, beyond meat crumbles, sugar free maple syrup for some sweetness — or can use salsa)
Tumblr media
Egg grilled cheese sandwiches: 320 calories (4 slices Lewis 35 calories white bread, 4 servings egg whites, reduced fat shredded cheese — sometimes I’ll add some Simple Truth vegetarian deli ham slices for an extra 70 calories to add protein)
Tumblr media
French toast with eggs and fruit: 430 calories for the whole meal — I usually have 4 pieces of French toast so that’s what the 430 calories is including. The French toast is 4 slices of 35 calorie Lewis bread dipped in a mixture of egg whites, cinnamon, Stevia, half capful of vanilla and cooked on pan with a bit of cooking spray. The eggs is 1 egg with 1 serving of egg whites and veggies. And I use sugar free maple syrup and just eat as much of that as I want because it’s only 5 calories for 2 tbsp.
Tumblr media
Shepherds Pie: 285 calories for the bow full, 1/4 of the dish. (Mashed cauliflower — which is a head of cauliflower, one potato, few spoonfuls of Greek yogurt, and spices blended together; Gardein crumbles, frozen veggie mix, vegetable stock)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nachos: 400 calories (2 whole Joseph’s lavash breads cut up and baked in oven to make chips, reduced fat shredded cheese, onions, salsa)
Tumblr media
These are just a few examples. But notice how much food you get for low calories — that’s what you want! I’ve been trying this for the past month and have lost about 10lbs so far. I’m not sure if this is THE thing for me yet, but so far it’s incredibly easy to stick with because everything tastes so good! And it doesn’t feel like a diet or anything. The foods don’t taste like a 10/10 like the highly paletteable foods that are full of sugar and fat, but these are more like an 8/10 or sometimes even 9/10, and that’s worth it to me for being able to stay in a good caloric deficit. So if this is something you think might work for you, then definitely try it out! Read food labels and WEIGH your food! Even you’re bread — you’d be surprised.
On Saturdays I allow myself a “cheat” meal. We usually do something active like a bike ride and I’ll eat what I want afterwards. Right now I’m eating pizza 😂 But I’m going to be trying a low calorie chocolate chip cookie recipe for dessert tonight so I’m not going too crazy! The important thing is I can definitely see myself eating this for the rest of my life because I don’t feel deprived, everything tastes good, and I’m not constantly thinking about fast food because this food honestly helps those cravings as you can imagine.
So, just try to find something that works for you, that you can do for the rest of your life! Something is out there, I promise. Take your time with it. Trust the process, don’t rush it. Don’t try to lose weight fast because omg that’ll most likely cause you to gain it back because you’re under eating and will eventually want to give up and eat everything high in calories lol. Also, DON’T WEIGH YOURSELF EVERY DAY. I’d say once a week at most. But the scale isn’t that great of a tool because weight constantly fluctuates. Use your clothes and measurements to track progress, plus pics! Otherwise, you’ll get easily discouraged thinking you’re gaining fat when reality you’re probably losing fat but retaining water and gaining some muscle so the number went up.
This was a lot, but I’m so passionate about it and love helping people as much as I can with it, because I was really heavy a while back and know what it’s like to try to lose fat. So I really hope this helps ❤️ Feel free to DM me anytime if you want some more tips or recipes!

Captive Love   19
UF!Sans x Reader (or Frisk if you wanna)
Summary: Sweetheart enjoys flustering Papyrus, and he tries to educate her in the greatest of performers; Mettaton... Aka, share his interests with her. Also... other stuff happens.
A/N: Important stuff! So! While looking through stuff, I looked through the bookmarks to this story (on Ao3, for multiple reasons) and saw a comment in the bookmark saying that they weren't sure why she hadn't gotten her voice back, yet. This is honestly a good question. I guess it wasn't clear enough, I mean, a lot of stuff has happened. I tried to put the speech indicators to show that her voice is getting better, but then she'll yell and scream at Sans or someone on the phone (her idiot boss) and it'll get a bit worse. Also, I did a count of the days (quickly scanning through the whole file so I could be a little off) and at the beginning of the next chapter she's only been there for two weeks (13 days actually) and only been awake for 10 of them. Even if we give the benefit of the doubt and say three weeks (pretty sure that's the time frame I was aiming for about the point they had sex), she's basically gotten her voice back, its just a bit wobbly and squeaky. I dunno 'bout the rest of y'all, but last time I got sick (actually right before I started writing this story) I lost my voice for about a month and a half. I started getting it back after a month, had two weeks of the squeaky voice of a dog toy, and then a week of where it was mostly back, but still wobbly and had to clear my throat a lot because of it cutting out and squeaking. This is for informative purposes, not to be a jerk. Even though I feel like a jerk... lol God damn it! Do you know how hard I tried not to make it so he had a sock thing?! Maybe a preference or soft spot, but not an all out fetish. Like, 'ooo, yeah, those're sexy,' sure, but not, 'oh god, I'm so hard 'cause you're wearing socks!' *sigh* I fail at life... Enjoy an about double length chapter!.

Story
Papyrus tries to be... friendly? Maybe. Is that what he's doing? Yes.
Contrary to what Sans had said, the two spent the time until Papyrus came back not having sex, but cuddling and making out.
“SANS!” Papyrus called from downstairs, knowing too well not to go near his brother’s room unless he was interested in an accidental show.
Sans pulled back from the kiss he was tangled in with (Y/n), glancing to the door before giving her another kiss and climbing from the bed to go down to his brother.
(Y/n) laid back, biting her lip and smiling.
Ok… so it hadn’t started out great, but, really, even if she left now, the sex was amazing, and she wouldn’t have a problem messaging him. Who knew about a relationship, but what they had was pretty sweet.
A sudden realization hit her.
What did Sans think of relationships?
Was it something monsters did? It seemed like they avoided showing that they had feelings or emotions at every turn, and she could see how having a relationship would blow that out of the water.
Did she want a relationship?
Yes, sex was nice, and it was nice spending time with him, but… it was entirely different than having a relationship. Right now, they were basically almost friends, with benefits. Maybe closer to fuck buddies who liked hanging out.
It was a strange gray area to be in.
(Y/n) stretched and climbed from the bed, hurrying to grab some clothes and head to take a quick shower to wash the smell of sex from her.
How long had it been since her body had felt so well used? So nicely taken care of?
...How long had it been since she’d been a willing participant in it becoming this sore?
She shook her head to get that thought out of her head.
It didn’t matter, anyway, that bastard was gone, and she was here.
She needed to enjoy her life.
She instead focused on washing up, bemoaning that her legs had gotten so hairy and that there was no razer around here to shave. How could she have forgotten to tell Sans to get one when she sent him out for everything and the kitchen sink?
After her shower, she went into Sans’ room and found the bag he’d brought back on the off chance that he had gotten one and she’d just missed it.
No luck, though she did find a pair of really cute over the knee socks. They looked like they were either from a halloween display, or from a store that sold punk and goth type clothing, having a print of tiny scattered skull and crossbones, and a bit of lace and back ribbon at the top.
Well… at least they’d cover the hairs on her legs and she wouldn’t be so self conscious about them.
She pulled on a shirt, the pants she’d originally been wearing, and did her best with her hair before she walked downstairs.
Papyrus was making a lot of noise in the kitchen, and Sans was nowhere to be seen.
He must have gone out for something…
(Y/n) went to the kitchen and stopped next to Papyrus.
He looked down at her with a suspicious glare, but she responded with a friendly grin.
Papyrus quickly looked away with a bit of red growing over his cheeks.
Embarrassment… that’s right; being nice flustered him.
A mischievous grin lifted her lips.
This was going to be fun.
As Papyrus started trying to make the shepherd's pie again, she stood near, pre measuring things and handing them to him.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING, HUMAN?!” He demanded, his hands going to rest on his pelvis.
“He-ping,” she told him, then shot a huge grin. [helping]
Papyrus' sharp teeth gritted hard and he turned away with a glare.
(Y/n) held back her laughter.
So much fun.
As Papyrus was starting to layer, the door opened and Sans came back in.
“SANS! COME GET YOUR HUMAN! SHE’S UNDERFOOT!” Papyrus demanded.
Sans entered the kitchen, seeing (Y/n) helpfully handing a bowl of mashed potatoes to his brother, whose skull was glowing across his cheekbones and nasal ridge.
He stuffed his smokes in his pocket and strolled over to where (Y/n) was grinning at him. He gave her a devious grin back, his sharp teeth flashing at her, and let his tongue trace his golden fang suggestively.
Sans stepped behind her and wrapped his arms around her, nuzzling behind her ear. "c'mon, sweetheart, stop botherin' my bro an' come in th' other room wit me. i got an idea 'f how ta entertain ya." Sans chuckled at her obviously flustered form against him. “c’mon sweetheart, give ‘im th’ potatoes an’ come wit me.”
Papyrus took the bowl of potatoes from her and made a disgruntled and disgusted noise as Sans guided (Y/n) to the other room.
He sat her on the couch and sat next to her, pulling the remote out and putting on a show.
(Y/n) sniffed the air, noticing a heavier cherry and vanilla smell around Sans.
"What's that sm-ll?" She asked.
"what smell?" Sans asked, looking over at her with a brow ridge up.
"It's on you, like… vanilla, and cherry," she told him.
"oh," Sans hummed, pulling out a slightly worn box to show her. "that's my smokes."
"You smoke?" She asked in surprise.
"yeah, sometimes," he murmured, his eyelights flashing to the kitchen.
(Y/n) mentally shrugged. Smoking was bad, but who knew if it even affected him the same way… He wasn't doing it around her, and at least the smoke smelled good.
Over all, filed under 'not her business'.
.
After a dinner filled with Papyrus shooting them disgusted looks from his spot across the table and telling them the 'thrilling adventures' he'd had that day, Papyrus made them stay downstairs to watch Mettaton shows.
"boss, i don't wanna watch any mettaton stuff," Sans complained.
"TOO BAD; I'M NOT LETTING YOU TWO WANDER OFF TO YOUR OWN DEVICES! WHO ONLY KNOWS WHAT WOULD HAPPEN THEN!"
"heh, i know what'd happen," Sans commented, giving (Y/n) a suggestive wink.
Papyrus gave a put upon sigh and wedged his way between them on the couch.
"hey, bro, what're ya doin'?!" Sans complained, shuffling out of the way a bit so he didn't get sat on.
"I DON'T WANT THE TWO OF YOU CANOODELING RIGHT NEXT TO ME!" Papyrus declared.
"then let us go up ta my room, bro," Sans sighed, managing to hold back his irritation. "simple as that."
"NO CANOODELING!" Papyrus declared.
He spent a lot of the shows explaining to (Y/n) how their star, and sometimes only actor, was better than anything humans could possibly have, often spending half a segment explaining the ‘complicated and far superior’ bits.
After enough time had apparently passed, Papyrus decided it was time to go to bed and ushered them all upstairs.
As soon as the door closed behind them, Sans let out an irritated breath before looking up at (Y/n) and letting his sharp teeth curl into a predatory grin.
Heat shot through (Y/n)'s belly, her heart rate going up.
"c'mere, sweetheart," Sans beckoned her to the bed as he reached it himself. "i have a feelin' yer tongue's been away from mine fer too long…"
(Y/n) felt a bit of embarrassment mixing with the excitement that was filling her, heat starting to build already.
"aw, c'mon, sweetness," Sans drew his voice out temptingly, the low tones somehow reminding her already wettening core what he'd done to it earlier and making it clench. "no need ta be so shy noww."
(Y/n) slowly stepped toward the bed, fluttering filling her belly.
“there ya go,” Sans praised as she got closer. “that’s it, sweetheart, c’mon closer,” he told her as he knelt on the bed and moved to the middle, sitting on his knees. “wait, this’s gonna be easier if ya take those pants off b’fore ya get up here,” he commented.
A wave of trepidation fell over her, and she thought through what was happening, trying to be completely sure she was ok with what was about to happen.
One round of sex and a day of making out, you could… maybe still be friends. Any more than that… who knew…
“what’s wrong, sweetheart?” Sans asked, his expression turning more toward question than the suggestive thing it had been.
(Y/n) paused, then reached for her pants and started taking them off.
“mmm, there ya go, sweetheart,” Sans commented as she started crawling toward him on the bed, his expression slipping back to that one of suggestive intent.
She made her way up, then paused in front of him, biting her lip as she reached under her shirt and worked her bra off without taking off her shirt. Her attention was drawn back to Sans at the lustful noise he made as she threw it to the floor behind her.
“i didn’t know ya knew magic, sweetheart,” Sans chuckled, leaning forward and grabbing her by the hips to draw her closer to him. His hands slid down her thighs, moving around them, then up the backs to take her panties and start dragging them down her thighs.
As she lifted one knee so he could get them off, he caught sight of the dark fabric on her calf and twisted a little around her to get a better look.
Yes, there were little skull and crossbones distributed every so often over the black of the fabric, a bit of lace nearly hidden behind her knee.
“fuck,” Sans murmured softly, his phalanges lingering over the soft fabric as he helped her off with her panties.
(Y/n) looked at him in question, following his gaze, her leg registering where he was touching.
Oh.
Oh!
Ooooooooh…
He’d bought those… maybe not even purposely for her…
Here she was wearing them, and if the tent in his shorts was anything to go by, he wholeheartedly approved.
Sans tried to stop the drool from dripping between his teeth as his fingers took in the feel of her soft leg inside of the socks, tracing the muscles that filled out the fabric and looking sexier than he had imagined.
He hadn’t even dared to hope that she’d willingly wear them, let alone put them on herself, yet here she was, calves covered in the socks, looking sexy enough that if she pressed her knees together, her legs would look good enough to- he’d have to hold on to the backs of her thighs so that he could brace himself to thrust, keeping her feet together with his knees and her knees together with his hands-
Sans blinked his sockets to clear his fantasy, gripping the backs of her thighs and pulling her up into his lap, pausing only to get his shorts out of the way. Then he was pulling her up over him, her knees on the outsides of his hips, angling and positioning them both so that as he eased her to sit down, she felt the head of his cock brushing against her.
(Y/n) bit her lip, her body giving all the signals that it was interested and ready, and one of his hands slipped between them to guide his cock, brushing against her wet folds until he found her opening.
The hand on her hip gripped harder as he encouraged her down, sliding into her, and his face turned into a grimace of pleasure.
“nnn, fuck, ya feel jus’ ‘s good ‘s last time…” He told her through gasped breaths. “fuuuuck, sweetheart… ya a’ways this hot an’ wet, or is this jus’ fer me?” He groaned as she sank down, her thighs finally meeting where his shorts had crumpled around his femurs.
“Sans,” she whispered, her hands clenching around the back of his shirt, grabbing at his ribs and making him growl needily.
One of his hands buried itself in her hair, tangling and fisting in it to point her face to his, his teeth pressing against her lips and parting them to let his tongue meet hers, and she moaned, her hips following the motions he was guiding her through to get a bit of movement going.
It was a bit awkward due to the angle, and only served to make them both want more.
Sans' hand moved from her hip to give a rough grope to her ass, holding her against him as he turned and laid over top of her.
His pelvis stayed against her as he knelt up, his hands running down her calves, the roughness of his phalanges catching a little at her socks.
He gave a squeeze to her calves, then lifted them up over his shoulders, nuzzling them, his hands stroking over them.
His hands slid down to her thighs, gripping them tightly before starting to move his pelvis.
He rocked gently for a moment, but soon leaned forward, pushing her knees closer to her chest as he did, and it seemed to open her up to him more, making her able to feel every inch of him as he moved inside her.
Sans held her thighs tight against his ribs, keeping her calves on his shoulders and nuzzling against them as he thrust. They felt so soft under his phalanges, against his cheekbone-
His eyelights stayed on her as he panted for breath, thrusting into her rhythmically. He could feel her hands grabbing and twisting around his shorts, trying to pull him into her as her hips gave little bucks trying to meet his.
fuck...
She was so cute- the socks were adorable, and they made her look even cuter…
His tongue reached out and traced over her calf, making him grunt as she clenched around him. “oh, sweetheart,” he groaned softly, nipping at her calf.
A noise escaped (Y/n), but she tried to swallow it, trying to keep quiet as he sped up.
Sans gripped her thighs tightly, pushing into her faster and faster, his pointed teeth digging into her sock covered calf, his tongue brushing over it.
(Y/n) gasped, her mouth dropped open as she tried to stay quiet, her body bouncing as he pushed into her harder.
“fuck, sweetheart- ya squeezin’ ‘round me like that- ya like what ‘m doin’ ta ya?” He asked, watching her face.
(Y/n) nodded, her hand tightening in the fabric of his shorts.
“yeah?”
She nodded again as she gasped for air, trying desperately not to make noise to piss off the other skeleton in the house, starting to get light headed at how much oxygen she was taking in.
“nnn, fuck- y’re so sweet, sweetheart,” he told her, gulping in air as he tightened his hands, holding her steady as he pounded into her.
She was going to have bruises there, though it couldn’t seem to matter to her mind. He was hitting every perfect place inside her- it felt so good- he felt so perfect inside her- every spot lighting up with pleasure- so amazing-
And then he bit her calf again, his tongue trailing over the sock that made her seem even more adorable and sweet.
“Ungh-” (Y/n) squeaked, holding back the other noises as she came, her body tightening and pulsing around Sans as she softly moaned his name.
“uuuuuuugh, sweetheart- tha’s right, come fer me- nnn- ya feel s’good- fuck- fuckfuckfuck-!” He growled out as he fell over the edge and followed her into bliss, his jaw clenched tight to keep quiet. He didn’t need his brother bursting in and ruining the mood.
As they came down, Sans leaned forward and kissed her, his tongue and teeth moving with her mouth, small noises leaving them both.
Sans chuckled after a moment, his hands squeezing her ass with her legs now wrapped around him.
“What’s so funny?” She asked, watching his face.
“nothin’, i jus’ feel bad fer humans ’s all. any guy who doesn’t get ta feel ‘is girl keep pullin’ at ‘im like this, really. can’t ‘magine. jus’ feels so good. c’mere, sweetness,” he coaxed, though he was the one who did all the work of wrapping his arms around her and rolling so that she was again on top of him before he gave a content sigh.
“Their loss,” (Y/n) murmured back with a chuckle of her own.
They started drifting off, but (Y/n) would swear she heard Sans say, “‘m glad i found ya… some a th’ best luck in my life…”
A/N: Uh... In case it wasn't clear... Yes, Sans was thinking of pressing Sweetheart's calves together and fucking the space between near her knees... um... while she was wearing the socks... I- I don't know... I was going to have him just think about licking or nipping, but, in the moment that's what came out instead... Sans does what he wants when I write, apparently... Sans: damn straight i do, doll!

Simple & Healthy Vegan Shepard’s Pie with Sweet Potato
When you make the best #vegan version of shepherds pie you need to share am I right?
This is a healthy, nutritious and delicious meal that you can make on repeat in the cooler months - I promise you it’s that good! I did make a meat version also for my family who’s not fully 100% plant based, but I wholeheartedly think this one was better hands down...okay so maybe I’m biased!
I figured you all may be looking for some #dinner inspo for a quick and tasty meal to prepare - my recipe is below P.S. if you do make it let me know, I would love to know your thoughts.
Tumblr media
I always prefer to use sweet potato as it’s low GI and full of good #nutrients - happy cooking & #eating my friends 🍽
Here’s my recipe - note I used organic ingredients but conventional is ok if that’s all you’ve got:
2 Leeks washed & chopped
2 medium carrots peeled & chopped
1 bunch rainbow chard or silverbeet
1 can cooked brown lentils rinsed or cook yourself need 400 grams
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 cup vegetable stock
Salt & pepper to season
Olive oil to sauté everything in as much as you think it needs (as I use a fair bit)
Herbs - rosemary, paprika, saffron
Topping:
2-3 large sweet potatoes (pre-cooked & mashed)
2 tbsp polenta
Basically sauté the leek first then adding the chard, carrot, lentils, tomato paste and stock last, add herbs and season. Assemble as pictured and then add sweet potato top with rosemary & polenta. Bake in the oven on 200 degrees for about 30 min until too browns as pictured.
Serve with green salad and enjoy this yummy dinner. You’re welcome 🙋🏼‍♀️
I had leftovers last week when I made this and it was perfect served cold for lunch the next day!
Happy Thursday my loves xx 💛

Shepherd’s Pie Unleashed
Shepherd’s Pie is a classic comfort casserole full of savory ground beef, sweet mixed vegetables and creamy mashed potatoes - the perfect dish to re-imagine for our second Breeeze Bites recipe.
Tumblr media
Cooking for your dog is an entirely different process than cooking for yourself. Every bit of the meal, from the raw ingredients to flavorings must be completely dog-friendly. In order to create the healthiest meals, I prefer to let natural food flavors speak for themselves - this means no added oils, spices or seasonings. What?! No seasonings? For humans, I say season away - but not all spices are dog friendly; some are downright poisonous. Bree is prone to allergies and a bit of a weight issue, so I keep my recipes as simple, natural and delicious as possible to avoid any potential dog dangers.
To adapt Shepherd’s Pie for Breezee Bites, I went with a lean, organic ground beef - 92% lean to be exact. I put a pound of the beef into a large saute pan, covered it with water, brought it to a boil, then turned the heat down and continued to simmer it until no pink remained. Bree posted herself by the stove the entire time it cooked.
Next up were the veggies. I always have multiple bags of mixed vegetables in my freezer; they’re healthy, versatile and when steamed correctly, just as good as fresh. I used a blend of yellow corn, string beans, peas (all new to Bree) and diced carrots (a favorite). I steamed 3/4 cup of veggies in a small saucepan until tender.
I swapped the traditional mashed potatoes for sweet, a more flavorful option that added vitamins and fiber to the meal. To make a quick “baked” potato, I used my Instant Pot Pressure Cooker; in 18 minutes, I had a potato that easily fell out of the skin, which I then mashed up and set aside to cool.
Tumblr media
With the ingredients in place, I was ready to plate it. Bree watched as I layered the vegetables, followed by the ground beef and topped with a layer of mashed sweet potato. In less than an hour, her Shepherd’s Pie was ready for eating.
Tumblr media
Bree went right for it! No hesitation with the new vegetables, just happiness as she worked her way through the layers. It made me smile to watch her enjoy a special Sunday meal lovingly prepared on a beautiful Spring day. Shepherd’s Pie Unleashed was a clear winner and a definite make-again Breezee Bites recipe.
“Shepherd’s Pie Unleashed” Nutritional Info*

Have a taste of home with Shepherds Pie SG
Tumblr media
Freshly Baked Shepherd’s Pies
Originated in the late 1700s from the United Kingdom, Shepherd’s Pies are common inexpensive comfort food that was created by housewives to incorporate leftovers that will peak their families interests. This dish soon became a source of comfort food that helps alleviate loneliness and instil warm positive thoughts for the diner.
These days, we lack the luxury of time and energy to create such delicious home-cooked food after work daily. With the rising wave of services that allows you to eat well without having to lift a finger, there’s no reason you can’t eat a proper meal in the comforts of your own home. One of the best meal everyone longs to eat at home is comfort food and what is more comfortable than having freshly baked meat and mash potatoes in your belly. That’s right, in this post, I’m touching on freshly baked, homemade Shepherd’s Pie delivered straight to your doorstep.
Tumblr media
Look at this spread. It’s a meal fit for a king. These Shepherd's pies are freshly baked daily. The ingredients are also prepared every single day. Thus, you have to order them a day in advance. Do note that the cut off timing for next day delivery is 5 pm.
Shepherds Pie SG Story
It is no doubt that Shepherd’s Pie SG is a new company. Their journey started humbly from baking hot pies for friends at a Christmas party to baking them for friends and school events. Soon, this humble little adventure turned into a business. A business where they can provide comfort in the form of a hot Shepherd’s Pie to your doorsteps.
The Sheperd’s Pie comes in 3 sizes - Massive, Medium and Mini. Massive pies are suitable for 4 people and medium pies suitable for 2. The mini pies are bite-size delights that are perfect for a snack. You can choose between beef or chicken for your pies and they also come in 5 different flavours - Chicken, Black Pepper, Curry, Shroom, Rendang.
In this Foodie Friday* review, I’ll be reviewing their curry beef and chicken Shepherds Pies. I’ll start with the massive beef pie before moving on to the medium chicken pies.
*Foodie Friday is something I created years ago because I wanted to review food. However, I got so overwhelmed with so many beauty products and services to review that I scrapped that idea. These days, it seemed like I’m back to reviewing food especially since I’ve finally gotten my long-awaited stand mixer. I guess that calls for IreviewUread to have another sub-section (I Bake U Pray - because I can’t cook or bake) don’t you think?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Massive Beef Shepherd's Pie
Measuring at 9 inches by 9 inches, this massive beef shepherd’s pie is big enough to fill the biggest decorative plate I have at my house. With a recommended serving of 4, this tray of hot pie is generously packed with various spices, meat and potatoes to fulfil everyone’s appetites. Upon receiving the heavy tray, one could easily detect the delectable aroma of a savoury pie emanating from beneath the covers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The golden top has been caramelized to perfection while its interior had a mixture of wonderful texture. I like how there were still bits of unmashed mashed potatoes for that tells me that these mashed potatoes are freshly mashed by hand. As a person that mashes her potatoes, I can imagine how many hours and how much work was put into these saporous pies.
Right below the potatoes are the mixed ingredients. Carrots, corn, green peas, beef, tomato paste with curry spices could be tasted in this scrumptious dish. The combination of sweetness and saltiness meets with the mellow spices from the curry makes this the perfect meal to come home to. A single bite from this pie transports you back to the 1800s where a diligent housewife was putting the piping hot Shepherd's pie out to cool by the window of her warm cottage. The beef was cooked to perfection while the mashed potatoes melt in your mouth. It’s utterly delicious.
Tumblr media
Mini Curry Beef Shepherd's Pie
Aside from the massive tray, the curry beef shepherd’s pie comes in a mini cupcake size as well. Suitable for picnics and snacks, these portable Shepherd’s pies are suitable for parties and events as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Medium Chicken Shepherd's Pie
Aside from beef, Shepherd’s Pie SG also retail chicken Shepherd’s pie. The medium Shepherd’ pie is 9 inches by 5 inches and it is suitable for 2 people. If you have a smaller appetite, this loaf size can even be shared among 4 people as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite the size difference, the pie still tastes as scrumptious as the massive beef pie. The golden top pairs well with the succulent chicken and vegetable bits in the bottom. The mash potatoes were mashed to perfection while the curry spices combined everything. The sense of home, warmth and desire could be felt in a bite as the ingredients swirl in your mouth allowing you to savour every piece of the pie. A dish that transports your home and makes you long for more, that’s a dish everyone should have.
Tumblr media
Mini Chicken Shepherd's Pie
Like the beef pie, there are also mini chicken Shepherd's pies in the size of a cupcake. Equally as wholesome as the medium and massive pies, size does not matter when it comes to these pies. Every bite of the pie gives you a warm sensation and a happy tummy.
With that, that’s my review on Shepherds Pie SG Beef and chicken Curry Shepherd’s pie. Order your warm pies here-

Holidays I Observe/Celebrate
Taken from my sh!tty Book of Shadows, here's a list and summary of the holidays I attempt to celebrate.
KEEP IN MIND: These are holidays that I personally celebrate, they are described as I personally see them, and the celebrations mentioned are the ones that I personally observe. There are no “right” or “wrong” ways to celebrate a holiday, even “culturally important” ones. Everyone celebrates them differently, some people don’t observe certain traditions, and that’s okay. If you celebrate differently than I do, that’s okay!  I can already smell the hate and annoying responses I’m going to get because of this but whatever let’s get started!
Putting a keep reading because holy farts this post was SO LONG!!!
New Years Day 🆕
January 1st --- A celebration of the new year. Usually celebrated by staying up the night before until midnight, then toasting a drink to luck and prosperity before going to bed. Lunch and/or dinner are usually comprised of black-eyed peas, greens, mashed potatoes, and cornbread.
Feast of Fools 🎭
January 6th --- A day to mock authoritative power, the church, religion in general, and the government. Mock ecclesiastical rituals are performed, a mock king/pope/bishop is elected, and drinking, dancing, and singing occurs. It's a day to laugh at that which is taken so seriously the rest of the year.
Chinese New Years 🐉
New Moon between January 21st and February 20th --- (I’ll update this part later!!!)
Imbolc 🏠
February 1st --- Marks the first day of spring. Celebration of hearth and home. Activities include making St. Brigid’s crosses, making bride’s beds, making priapic wands, lighting candles or bonfires in the snow, and eating pastries and dairy products.
Valentine’s Day 💝
February 14th --- A day to express your romantic love to those whom you love, usually by giving them a love note/card or a Valentine. Other gifts include roses, stuffed animals, chocolates, etc.
Mardi Gras ⚜
3 Days before Ash Wednesday --- Traditionally occurs 3 days before Ash Wednesday (which occurs 46 days before Easter). Activities include parades, throwing beads, eating good food, wearing masks, singing/playing music, dancing, and drinking.
White Day 💮
March 14th --- Usually celebrated in Asian countries, White Day is a response to Valentine’s Day. On Valentine’s day, women are the ones expressing their love to men. On White Day, men who received love are expected to return it, oftentimes with gifts triple in value to the gift they were given. Common gifts include white chocolate, white lingerie, cookies, etc. (Slightly sexist, but hey, a second day to spoil my partner with love is a-ok in my book!)
St. Patrick’s Day 🍀
March 17th --- A day to celebrate Irish culture and heritage. Activities include wearing green (and pinching those NOT wearing green), listening to traditional Irish music, and feasting on things such as roast, potatoes, greens, cornbread, whiskey, beer, and/or cider. A common tradition is “wetting the shamrock” where a clover is placed at the bottom of a shot glass that is then filled with alcohol. The shot is gulped down, and the clover goes with it, or alternatively is tossed over the shoulder for good luck.
Ostara - Spring Equinox 🌱
March 19th-22nd --- Ostara, the inspiration for Easter, is a celebration of new life, birth, fertility, growth, etc. Celebrated by planting seeds, starting gardens, planting flowers and trees, etc.
April Fool’s Day 😜
April 1st --- A day of pranks and jokes that I hate to death but also still celebrate for some reason..?
Easter 🐇
1st Sunday after the Full Moon --- Activities of celebration include painting and hiding boiled eggs which are collected in baskets, feasting on shepherd’s pie and carrot cake, eating candy and treats in the shapes of rabbits and chicks, etc.
Beltane 🔥
May 1st --- Originally celebrated by casting protection spells onto cattle who were headed out to summer pastures, today it is a celebration focused on protection of the self. Bouquets of primrose, rowan, hawthorn, gorse, hazel, and marigold are made and hung over the doors or windows of a home. Maypoles are danced around with colorful ribbons. Massive bonfires are lit and feasts are held.
LGBT+ Pride Month 🌈
The Entire Month of June --- A month to celebrate lgbt+ identities, such as lesbain, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer. Notable days for me are June 3rd: Bi pride day, June 5th: Pan pride day, and June 23rd: Androgyne pride day.
Litha - Summer Solstice ☀
June 19th-22nd --- These mark the longest days of the year. Protective amulets are made out of rue, rowan, and basil tied together with white or gold ribbon. They’re kept until the next Litha, when they’re burned and a new amulet is created. Other activities include picnics, making flower crowns, and dancing/singing around a campfire.
America’s Independence Day 🎆
July 4th --- Celebrations include barbecues, grilled foods, lemonade, pool parties, American patriotism, and shooting off/watching fireworks after dark.
Tanabata 🌠
July 7th --- (There’s so much lore about this holiday that I’m going to leave out because this post is already so long.) Essentially, it’s an Asian (more specifically, Japanese, or the version I celebrate hails from Japan) holiday centered around two lovers who get to meet only once a year (the 7th day of the 7th month). On the day of their meeting, you can write down wishes on tiny strips of paper and tie them to trees/bamboo, which are burned at midnight to release the wish into the universe in hopes that it will come true. Also it’s bad luck if it rains on Tanabata because the lovers can’t meet.
Lammas/Lughnasadh 🍞
August 1st --- The first harvest of the year. Feasts of breads, grains, and beers as well as bonfires are common. Activities include making corn dollies, wicker men, making crowns of wheat/corn stalks, creating/decorating staves, wands, and besoms/brooms, etc.
Cherokee National Holiday 🐦
1st Monday in September ---  An annual event celebrating Cherokee heritage and culture, held each Labor Day weekend in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The theme of the celebration changes each year, but activities include a two night inter-tribal pow wow, stickball, Cherokee marbles, horseshoes and cornstalk shoot tournaments, softball tournaments, rodeos, car and art shows, gospel singings, the annual Miss Cherokee pageant, the Cherokee National Holiday parade, and the annual "State of the Nation" address by the Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation.
Mabon - Autumn Equinox 🍁
September 19th-22nd --- The days and nights are equal in length. A time to wear your finest clothes and spend time with your family. This is the second harvest of the year. Activities include offering tributes to nature for the harvests, making wine, gathering dried herbs, walking in the woods, and decorating burial sites with acorns, leaves, and pine cones.
Halloween 🎃
October 31st --- Inspired by Samhain and celebrated on the same day. Activities include carving pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns, wearing costumes, going through haunted houses, riding hayrides, and giving/receiving treats like candy, popcorn balls, and little plastic toys.
Samhain 👻
Sunset of October 31st - Sunset of November 1st --- Marks the beginning of winter. Feasts inviting the spirits of dead loved ones to join are held. Offerings to fae and spirits are given. Masks and disguises are worn to hide from evil entities. A time to honor the dead, be they kin, friends, or pets.
Dia de los Muertos 💀
November 1st & 2nd --- A time to celebrate the dead. Activities include tidying up or decorating graves/burial sites, creating shrines/altars to the dead or deities connected to the dead, leaving offerings like sweets and marigolds to the dead, painting your face to look like a calavera (a skull), dancing and singing to honor the dead, feasting on pan de muertos, etc. Meant to be a joyful but still respectful celebration of those who have passed on.
Thanksgiving 🍠
4th Thursday in November --- A time to gather with the family over a meal and express thankfulness for what you have. A traditional feast includes turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and more.
Yule - Winter Solstice ❄
December 19th-22nd --- The longest nights of the year. Layered Thanksgiving Leftovers Casserole Recipe {30+ Healthy Thanksgiving Leftover Recipes}
This Layered Thanksgiving Leftovers Casserole is an easy and delicious way to use up leftover turkey, stuffing, potatoes, and green beans. This casserole has been a tradition in our family for many years.  Thanksgiving is my family’s favorite holiday, perhaps because it’s the kickoff to the holiday season. We keep things pretty simple for our Thanksgiving dinner because I find my kids like having exactly the same meal every year. Plus, I’m the one doing all the cooking.
This Layered Thanksgiving Leftovers Casserole has been a tradition in our family for many years. Immediately after everyone’s done eating, and cleanup is in progress, I put a big pot of water on the stove and make turkey stock using the turkey carcass. Then, I assemble this casserole, layering all the leftover Thanksgiving sides and turkey.
The next day, all I have to do is pop the casserole in the oven, warm up some gravy, and dinner is ready. My kids love this idea, and it’s so easy.
This Layered Thanksgiving Leftovers Casserole is just one great way to use up Thanksgiving leftovers. If you’re looking for more ways to use up your Thanksgiving turkey and leftovers, check out these recipes which are on the lighter side from some of my fellow foodie friends.

Veggie Shepherds Pie
This is a recipe I just made, didn’t measure, and am estimating right now so I can make it again later. Please keep in mind that my recipes are pretty non-traditional too. But it was super filling, vegetarian, and pretty easy to pack as a to-go lunch provided the mash and pie filling are separate until you reheat.
Let’s jump in...
Tools:
A food processor/blender that can hold about 2-3 cups 1 large pot 1 skillet or shallow stew pot A cooking spoon A fork
Ingredients for Mashed Topping:
1 full head of cauliflower 1/8 cup milk 1 tbsp butter 1 tsp salt, halved 1/2 tbsp potato flakes
Ingredients for Filling:
1 large sweet carrot 1 16 oz can of chickpeas, divided into 1/4 and 3/4 1/4 large yellow onion 4-5 leaves from a cabbage 4-5 cloves of garlic 1 1/2 cups vegetable stock 1/2 cup water 1 tbsp butter 2 tsp cumin 1 tsp coriander 1/2 tsp dried parsley 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp onion powder 1/2 tsp paprika 1/8 tsp pepper 1/8 tsp salt 1/8 tsp crushed sage a pinch cinnamon a pinch powdered cayenne pepper 2 tbsp potato flakes to thicken
Pro tip: If you’re pressed for time or spices, use curry powder or a Japanese curry block dissolved in the broth/water instead. It’s not quite the same, but it was similar enough that my husband asked if I’d used the curry seasoning.
Instructions
Cut the cauliflower into florets. Put cauliflower into large pot full of water with half the salt and bring to a boil. Boil for 15 minutes. When done, drain and place away from heat to cool.
Mince the onion. Chop carrots into 1/4 inch rounds and then fourth them. Mince the garlic. Cut the cabbage into roughly thumb sized pieces. Set aside the cabbage, garlic, and carrots.
Place the onion into the skillet with butter and about 1/4 cup of broth on medium. Cook until translucent or about 5-8 minutes.
Mash 1/4 of your chickpeas with a fork until crumbed and add to skillet.
Add carrots and the rest of the broth and water. Simmer low for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Add cabbage and garlic and seasonings. Simmer low for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.
While that is going, place your cooled cauliflower and remaining cauliflower mash ingredients into a blender and pulse until it is roughly the texture of mashed potatoes. Stir to make sure everything is together.
Add the potato flakes to your filling and stir on low heat until it becomes thick enough to cling to the vegetables.
Serve warm. It’s fairly good with toppings like chives, parsley, or cheese. If storing for later, store the mash separate from the filling.

Vegan Thanksgiving Recipes
Thanksgiving is right around the corner! Looking for some vegan deliciousness for your feast? This amazing collection of over 80(!) vegan Thanksgiving recipes has everything you need for an amazing plant-based holiday meal.
It’s time to start planning! Every year since I started blogging I’ve put together one of these little collections of Vegan Thanksgiving recipes. Usually I slack off and post it right before the holiday.
This year I got my act together and I’m here with plenty of time to spare with all the vegan Thanksgiving deliciousness you can handle.
I’ve got more Thanksgiving recipes on the way, and I’ll continue to add them as the holiday approaches, so check back from time to time as you put your menu together.
And to make this list easy to navigate, here’s an index! Click on any of the headings in the index to jump right to that section of the round-up.
And on to the list!
Appetizers
It wouldn’t be a party without some pre-dinner snacks! Keep your guests happy before the big meal with any of these vegan dips, cheeses and finger foods.
Vegan Dips & Cheeses
Dips are always a crowd-pleaser! Keep it simple with some hummus, or go adventurous with a vegan cheese and some crackers or bread.
Maple Dijon Vegan Cheese Ball

A warm and cozy bowl of soup is the perfect way to start a meal when it’s cold outside. Go traditional with a squash or veggie based soup, or really impress your guests with one of the super-decadent creamy soups lower down on the list.
Squash Soups
Squash soups get their very own category when it comes to Thanksgiving recipes.
Red Lentil Butternut Squash Soup with Curry Croutons
Miso Kabocha Squash Soup with Maple Roasted Walnuts
Roasted Butternut Squash Soup
Creamy Vegan Pumpkin Bisque with Maple Cinnamon Tempeh Croutons
Veggie Soups

Quinoa & Lentil Cabbage Roll Soup
Rosemary, Red Bean & Kale Soup
Chai-Spiced Apple Sweet Potato Soup
Creamy Soups
Since Thanksgiving is in fact a once a year meal, it’s totally understandable that you may want to indulge in a thick and creamy bowl of soup.
