Sam- Stancy because he’s all about second chances after high school.

Blaine- He is a Byler stan first and a human second thank you very much.

Santana- We’ve seen she likes non canon wlw ships obviously she loves Ronance.

Alright y'all, I have polls and I'm going to make it everyone else's problem.

Smart With Math, Stupid With Love (1/8)

Summary: Kurt just wants to survive Senior Year and maybe get a date with Sam. He doesn't need the new resident "Bad Boy" (more like Boy Band) to cause any complications. But it's hard to ignore a good offer when it comes along. Calculus lessons in exchange for Lessons In Love. God he must be desperate.

Notes: Happy Klaine-iversary and idk some Caesar thing that's happening. *Throws fic*

Warnings: Canon consistent homophobia and bullying. Boys being idiots.

"Have you seen the new guy?" Rachel is on Kurt the second he steps into the choir room. "He has that James Dean bad boy swagger with classic Hollywood good looks. Completely dreamy. If his voice anywhere near matches his body, he would be the perfect male lead to look at me adoringly while I sing to him."

"I thought you liked Finn?" It's all Kurt can manage under this sudden onslaught of information.

"I've realized I need someone more committed to keeping up with my talent," Rachel says airily.

"You mean he's still dating Quinn," Mercedes mutters and Rachel's retort is silenced by the arrival of Mr Schue.

"His name is Blaine Anderson," Tina announces to the group at large, the following day at lunch. "I heard he transferred because he burnt his previous school to the ground." She looks thrilled.

"So he's an arsonist." Rachel tosses her head dismissively.

"That don't impress you much?" Santana asks drily."So he's got the firepower, but has he got the touch ."

"I bet he does, have you seen him?" Rachel says. "He and I would have the cutest vaguely Eurasian looking babies."

Kurt chokes.

"And his butt," Tina sighs. "It looks like it's been sculpted out of marble."

"I need to have a conversation with you two about your priorities," Kurt says.

"Don't worry, Kurt, he's not actually an arsonist," Artie chips in unexpectedly. "He was just having an affair with his art teacher." It's his turn to look dreamy. "What a legend."

"Artie, ew." Tina slaps at his shoulder while Rachel launches into a lecture about the inappropriateness of teacher-student relationships. Mercedes coughs something that sounds suspiciously like “Mr Schue.”

Kurt internally prays for silence.

5 Times Kurt Talks About Sex and 1 Time He Doesn't (Part One)

A/N: So, this was inspired the other day by a Nonny who was asking about how Kurt interacts with others on the topic of sex and this little idea popped in my head.

It's a little mini-series, and I'll post one part a day, then I'll get it up on Ao3 after it's complete.

It's set in a post-canon-ish world when they're all living in New York. The whole thing takes place over the course of a day.

Conversation One: Tina

There’s a banging on the door. Kurt hasn’t even had a sip of his morning coffee yet, and reluctantly regrets even getting up in the morning as he makes his way through the kitchen to the living room. The pounding intensifies. Good, god, what is so important this early in the morning?

He opens the door, and in stumbles Tina. “Blaine!” she calls, without even a hello. “Blainey!! Blaine, get out here, I need to talk to you.” She pushes past Kurt, in a frenzy, and goes straight for the bedrooms, as if it’s normal for someone not even invited in to do so.

“He’s at rehearsal,” Kurt grumbles. He shuts the door and heads back to the kitchen, not even bothering to stop Tina as she races around the apartment in search of Blaine.

“It’s Saturday,” Tina cries, as if that’s some sort of argument against Blaine being gone. The apartment is small enough that it takes less than a minute for Tina to confirm that Kurt is, indeed, alone.

“People still have to rehearse on Saturdays.” He pours himself a mug of coffee, taking in the deep, rich smell of it as he waits for Tina to inevitably join him.

She’s grumpy as she enters the kitchen. “Well, that would explain why he’s not answering his phone.”

He stares at her blankly. “What do you want, Tina?”

It’s then that she stops in her tracks, as if she’s suddenly aware that Kurt’s really the only one there to talk to. She’s unusually hesitant before she speaks again. “You know what - it’s fine. I’ll just see him later.”

Kurt raises an eyebrow at her. “What did you need?”

“Really, it was nothing.”

“Tina…”

“I should have waited for his text,” Tina insists. “Totally not an emergency. You don’t even need to mention that I was here.”

“You’ve already crashed my morning,” Kurt says, waving his mug around. Sure, it’s annoying to be interrupted during your morning routine - but at least whatever Tina’s backing away from is probably better than anything on TV at the moment. “You might as well just tell me.”

“Well…” she’s hesitant again as she slides into one of his kitchen chairs. “It’s just that you and I, uh, don’t really talk about this stuff.”

Okay, so now his attention is piqued. “What stuff?”

“You know…” her voice grows soft. “About sex stuff.”

She’s not wrong. Tina will gossip about other people’s sex lives until the cows come home, but she’s rather tight-lipped about her own.

“Try me.”

“I should really wait and just talk to Blaine.”

“Do you really think Blaine won’t tell me eventually anyway?”

Kurt’s not sure what is more bitter - his coffee or the expression on Tina’s face.

“Fine, Kurt Hummel.” She takes a deep breath, composing herself. “So, you know how Artie and I are beginning to see each other again? Well, it’s been going great. Or at least I thought it had been going great. Until yesterday… So, I was going down on him. And, I mean, it’s not my favorite thing. Do all men have that weird smell down there? Or do I need to get Artie some kind of genitalia perfume for Christmas? And I mean, I can’t do it for very long because my mouth dries out but anyway…ever since I’ve known him he’s gone on and on about how much he just loves blowjobs. I swear, I have heard about every single woman who has thought it wise to give him one. And, god, he especially wouldn’t shut up about Brittany -- who apparently gives the most magical blowjobs. Sam used to go on and on about Brittany, too, now that I think of it. Why are you looking at me like that? Oh, god, don’t tell me you agree with Brittany’s mind blowing oral skills.”

Kurt throws up a little in his mouth. “Do you really think I’d let that woman near my dick?”

Tina waves off the comment, continuing on with her rant. “Anyway… it takes him forever to come and he just seems barely into it. And I am trying all of my best moves. I am not bad at blowjobs. At least, Mike never complained. And remember that one guy I dated a few years ago? Greg? He said I was the best he’s ever had. I may have been the only one, but that’s not the point. The point is I wanted to talk to Blaine so he could give me tips on how to give a better blowjob.”

“Wait, is this really what you and Blaine talk about when I’m not around?”

“This is serious, Kurt!”

Kurt smirks into his coffee as he thinks it over. “I mean, if you want to talk about someone who gives magical blowjobs…”

Tina lets out a frustrated grunt. “Look, it’s not even because of this one time, either. I tried to wake him up this morning with a little surprise and he just kind of shoved me away. It was hu-mil-i-ating. My best friend and would-be boyfriend doesn’t like my mouth on him. Maybe this was just the worst idea I’ve ever had and we should have never gotten back together. I just need to accept the fact that I’m going to die alone.”

Wow. That escalated quickly. It’s Tina, though, he’s not really surprised.

“Okay, Tina.” Kurt sets his coffee mug down and folds his arms across his chest. “Let me get this straight. Did you at any point ask Artie about his weird reactions?”

She sits there silently for a moment. “Well, no…”

“So, to recap your morning - you had a bad sexual experience. And instead of talking to your boyfriend about it, you came to the conclusion that you’re terrible at sex, that you’re going to die alone, and then rushed over here to ask my husband how to properly suck a guy off?”

“You know, this is why I don’t come to you about these things,” Tina scoffs. “You don’t have to be judgy about it.”

Kurt refrains from rolling his eyes at her. “I’m not-- whatever… Tina, Artie’s an idiot. You know you have to hit Artie over the head with a brick in order to get his attention. I think it’s a different set of oral skills that may be more beneficial to your relationship.” Kurt chuckles at his own joke. “If you want, though, you could just say you’ll be refraining from using your mouth on any part of him until he can use his mouth to give you an orgasm. I mean, if you’re not having fun - why would he be? And, god, do not buy him some weird genitalia perfume - I’d be happy to recommend a decent manscaping kit instead. Also, for the record, dying alone isn’t the worst thing in the world - at least you’d have peace and quiet. And god knows I wish I had more of that in my life. But I mean, please feel free to still talk to Blaine. He does know how to do this thing with his tongue that gets me there faster than when we were teenagers. Absolutely magical.”

For the first time since he’s known her, Tina sits in a complete silence, utterly at a loss at how to respond.

Kurt picks up his mug and grins as he sips.

Santana had tried to downplay the engagement with Brittany to her friends. Really, really tried. She had known the minute she texted Rachel, Kurt, Quinn, and Mercedes (individually, because she couldn’t handle the mess of a group chat notifications pinging on and off all day long) with a simple and to the point statement that she and Brittany were engaged again, this would be far from the end of things she would hear about it. Her friends were not the type to simply text back a congratulations with some emojis, oh no. Instead, she was immediately bombarded with so many texts and phone calls- not just from those four, but from the entirety of the Glee club- that she got frustrated and shut her phone off. That didn’t help, they just started blowing up Brittany’s phone and Santana’s laptop instead. In the end, she had to call Kurt (the slightly more reasonable, between him and Rachel) and virtually threaten him to keep him and Rachel from showing up at their apartment door.

Apparently, though, Santana was no longer threatening enough to scare them. Because Friday night, when she and Brittany got home from their respective responsibilities of the day, Santana could tell even before going to open the apartment door that something was wrong.

“Call the police, the lights are on inside and we didn’t leave them like that!” she hissed, grabbing Brittany’s arm. “Someone broke in!”

Straining to hear, still grasping Brittany, she realized that someone inside the apartment door was talking, trying unsuccessfully to keep their voice quiet. Actually….wait, was that more than one person talking? How many people had broken into the apartment? Was it a gang?!

And then she heard one all too familiar voice, attempting louder than all the rest of them combined, to shush everyone “because Santana and Brittany will be here any minute now!” That was when the penny dropped, and Santana dropped Brittany’s arm, growling aloud.

“Oh no. No, they did NOT.”

No longer the slightest bit afraid of being attacked, but rather of the possibly less welcome ambush she was now certain awaited her, she unlocked the door, immediately greeted by a swarm of voices calling out in unison.

“Surpriseeeee! Happy engagement!!!!”

Santana just stood there, slowly taking in the huge congratulatory banner, blown up picture posters of Brittany and Santana, balloons, streamers, and party food thrown over what seemed every inch of surface of her apartment. As she had feared, Rachel and Kurt stood in the front of the rest of the group, beaming with pride at themselves and practically bouncing on their toes in anticipation of their response. Just behind them, also far too happy looking for her liking, stood Quinn, Mercedes, Mike, Tina, Puck, Sam, Blaine, Artie, and Sugar.

Turning back to Brittany, Santana deadpanned, “Thanks. We forgot we have plans, bye!”

She made a motion to grab the doorknob, ready to flee and slam it all in their faces.

hi u are so real for this sorry this has taken me a while to get to!! been trying to organise my thoughts but i'm still not fully set on things. i guess ill do this from like. most to least likely to enjoy bts? (also i will say i have thoughts on the vb au squad specifically! i don't remember them in detail and they're probably similar to what i've written here but i def remember talking about it with mist)

tina: 100% most likely to be an army also def a once and a sone but that's not relelvant here! girlie has taste and i love that for her <3 she has jimin stan energy to me, i think she'd see the similarities between him and mike and she'd have a major soft spot for that

sugar: not technically one of the main new directions but i wanted to include her anyway bc i bet she loves bts. she has that vibe. she'd have all the merch and could very easily spend hundreds of dollars on concert tickets for herself and tina and anyone else who wanted to come. idk how she'd feel about the older eras but she'd def be a fan of the more poppy songs (maybe hyyh-onwards? def enjoys the LY/MOTS eras). probably a big vocal line fan, specifically jin and possibly jungkook as a bias wrecker

brittany: i think she'd enjoy bts a lot tbh! idk if she'd dive deep into fan theories or keep up with stuff like run bts but she'd def vibe with their music and i would kill to see her do the dance challenges or even full dance covers. i'd say she's hobi-biased but also just a big fan of 3J/sunshine line

blaine: i think he'd enjoy their more recent eras! mainly LY/MOTS-onwards i think? he has boy with luv/dynamite vibes. major jungkook stan in my head but i think he would really enjoy joon's lyrics/writing style

mike: def introduced to bts through tina dkfjgh but i think he'd get sucked in by the dance practices and the live performances even if the music itself isn't necessarily stuff he'd listen to! probably a 3J stan, if i had to pick one i'd very hesitantly say jimin

One thing I love so so so much about Glee is the dedication of the costume department. You can look at any episode and get a feel for how much time and effort they put into making sure each main character stood apart from one another, and that their distinct personalities were on full display via their wardrobe. It was a labor of love that definitely paid off

My favorite thing is how much it really makes our main characters pop on screen. That’s only reinforced by the background actors, who do walk around in just generic high school kid outfits. T shirt, hoodie, jeans, etc. Like even if you knew nothing about the show, it probably wouldn’t take longer than ten seconds to pick all the main characters out of a crowd

This show’s specialty isn’t exactly subtlety, but I think it’s used to full effect in this case. The distinct wardrobes help our main character glee kids stand out even more. Both to us as an audience, and in universe to show how “othered” they are. Their bright, unique, artistic souls standing in stark contrast with the dull droves of people who will never understand them

(I do think all the straight boys in general could’ve used a bit more distinction. But even still I think it’s just Finn, Sam, and Ryder that suffer the most. Like they do have SOME separation between them but I also feel like they could share one another’s clothes more than anyone else on the show. But then they were written to be like the everyman characters so I guess that’s intentional)

Besides that, even when there’s some overlap, everyone’s style choices feel distinct. Like if you had to sort through a pile of vintage dresses, you’d know what went in the Rachel pile and what went in the Tina pile. Or sweater vests for Artie vs Blaine, or animal themed clothing for Brittany vs Rachel

I also wouldn’t use “timeless” to describe everyone’s fashion on the show. But I do feel like this aspect of Glee is much less dated than some other shows from around the same time (TVD, PLL, Degrassi). Like maybe the urge to just go snatch up every generically trendy piece of late 00s early 10s clothing you could get your hands on was strong, but the wardrobe department didn’t take the easy way out

I dunno I just think everyone’s wardrobe is like a perfect showcase of who they are as a person and as a character and I appreciate the dedication of the costume department to be able to look at all their distinct and unique personalities and reflect that back to us in a visible and tangible way

Summary: The New Directions and others return to Lima for the 10 year anniversary of Finn’s death.

Tracy Hummel-Anderson loves having a full house, and her grandparents’ house is filled to the brim with her dads’ friends.

Kurt doesn’t have the heart to explain to a three year old what death means and why they’re all here. Tracy knows of Finn and she knows that he is no longer around, but she doesn’t fully understand why yet.

Tracy is hugging everyone’s legs and giving flowers that she picked in the garden. When she hands one to Carole, Carole tries very hard to not burst into a new round of tears. That’s Kurt’s cue to step in.

“Come on, Tracy,” he picks her up and carries her away from Carole.

“Do you think grandma loved the flower?” she asks.

“I think she loved it,” Kurt answers earnestly. Carole loves everything that Tracy makes, but today is just weird. It’s been ten years since Finn died. Every year, the New Directions try to get together to commemorate, and it doesn’t always work, but everyone made time to be here for the 10th anniversary.

Kurt puts her down so that she can hang around with the other kids. His friends have kids. He and Blaine were the first, but Rachel and Jesse’s daughter soon followed. Tina and Artie surprised everyone, including themselves, with twins. Brittany and Santana are looking into it as well. The New Directions are growing up.

Well, apart from Finn. He never made it past 19. He would’ve turned 29 this year.

What would his life had looked like? Everyone thought he’d end up with Rachel. He was working on becoming a teacher.

Kurt shakes his head. He’s helping no one with this. When Finn first died, Kurt couldn’t stop thinking about all these possible scenario’s, because it felt so unfair that he died. Kurt still thinks it’s unfair, but he stopped torturing himself.

The 10 year anniversary just brings back feelings.

Kurt walks back to his parents. His dad is talking with Sam about the time Sam and Finn competed for the position of quarterback. Carole, who still looks like a mess, laughs over a memory that Tina shared with her, only to fall silent again.

The mood is off. Tracy is right to think that it’s fun to be together with everyone, because Kurt also loves seeing everyone again, but it’s also under a weird circumstance.

A photo of Finn has been put on prominent display, with the date of his birth and death presented underneath. There’s a small line between them. Puck once said that it’s weird how that one life represents an entire life and it’s true. How does one line capture 19 years of a life well-lived?

It’s so weird to think that Finn’s already reached the end of his line.

Tracy apparently got bored being around the other kids, because she’s walking around again, amusing everyone. Quinn gives her a piece of candy from her pocket, Artie has his camera out and he films her skipping around the room, Mike twirls her around, and so on. Tracy loves her honourary aunts and uncles and they love her.

She eventually ends up at Blaine, who carries her to Kurt.

“Are you having fun?” Kurt asks.

Tracy nods happily and Kurt smiles. Kurt and Blaine make eye contact and Blaine nods.

“Go to daddy, Tracy,” Blaine says and he hands her to Kurt, “He wants to show you something.”

“Oh?”

Kurt takes her to Finn’s photograph. Tracy has grown a lot, so he needs both arms to carry her, so he can’t pick up the photo. Instead, he bends his knees and lowers Tracy.

“Uncle Finn!” Tracy says.

“Indeed,” Kurt says and he feels a lump in his throat. He’s still Tracy’s uncle. “We’re all here for him.”

“Why?” Tracy asks. She has a puzzled look on her face and it’s adorable.

“Because we miss him,” Kurt answers.

He realises that the room has gotten silent. He doesn’t want to look around, but he knows others are watching him and Tracy.

“Is this his party?” Tracy asks and Kurt lets out a teary laugh.

He wants to say that it’s not a party, and that people can come together for different reasons, and that today is a sad day, but then he thinks about her words.

Kurt will never celebrate Finn’s death. Never. The thought alone is baffling.

But he thinks of today. Everyone’s come to his parents’ house for Finn. People are trading stories and other fun memories. Photos and videos are passed around and despite the weird atmosphere, everyone is having a good time. It’s nice to come together and talk about the person they all miss so dearly.

“I guess so,” Kurt says, “A party to celebrate your uncle. That’s one way to see it.”

“Will there be cake?” Tracy asks. Of course she thinks of cakes. She mostly goes to birthday parties.

“We can have a cake,” Kurt’s dad cuts in, before Kurt can answer, “Right, Carole?”

Kurt finally turns around and as expected, all eyes are on him and Tracy, apart from his dad’s. He’s looking at Carole. Carole’s eyes are wet.

“Yes,” she eventually says, “Yes, we can. Chocolate fudge. His favourite.”

“I’ll drive down to the bakery!” many people volunteer at once, which makes everyone laugh. There will definitely be cake now.

“Yay!” Tracy claps her hands and Kurt hugs his daughter closer. He’s sad that Finn’s never got to met her, but she’s here and Kurt will keep the memory of his brother alive for her. He won’t be the only ones. Everyone in this room will remember Finn and as Tracy said, they will continue to celebrate him.

My favorite solo from each main character on glee (because why not)

SUE: Vogue. “WILL SCHUESTER I HATE YOU”

KURT: Rose’s Turn. Chris Colfer rarely got songs that highlighted ALL his vocal strengths. This song used everything. He had a strong head voice, an amazing mix, and he can EMOTE WITH EVERY INCH OF HIS LIFE. No wonder he got the Golden Globe.

QUINN: This Is A Man’s World. This scene is ridiculous, but out of context the song absolutely slaps. Diana can BELT and she deserved to do it more.

ARTIE: Stronger. Probably my favorite Britney song. Kevin ate. That is all.

PUCK: Only the Good Die Young. This song is so fun and I think Puck’s voice is very underrated. A good ol’ jam. Thank you for repping the Jewish community king ❤️

WILL: Sway. It’s a shame that we never talk about his voice because HOLY SHIT MATTHEW MORRISON IS INCREDIBLE. This man is so talented and we never acknowledge it because of Will Schuester’s shenanigans.

BLAINE: Somewhere Only We Know. You can hate Blaine all you want but you can’t deny the POWER of this song. The love in his eyes is sickening I am not okay right now

FINN: I’ve Gotta Be Me. Given the fact that Cory didn’t have any singing experience before, this song makes me so fucking happy because you can see how much he had grown as a singer, but also how proud he was of himself! Look at him go!!! (Bonus: If I’m bending the rules in terms of what qualifies as a solo I would 100% make his Paradise By the Dashboard Light. That was his undoubtedly his very best vocal performance. It’s SO FUCKING GOOD it makes me go batshit.)

RACHEL: My Man. “She may be difficult but boy can she sing.”

BRITTANY: Run the World. The dancing is definitely the more impressive part of this number, but it still sounds great! This song really highlighted Heather’s strengths, when most of her songs weren’t very memorable in my opinion.

MIKE: Cool. Maybe Tina should be a professional vocal coach because damn look at him go!! Idk why an Asian kid wanted to play the role of a leader of a white supremacist group but at least he sounds great 🤷‍♀️

MERCEDES: I Will Always Love You. Literally every single Mercedes song is perfect, so this was the hardest one for me. This means I had to base it on acting. And she DELIVERS here. It should be illegal to be this talented.

TINA: Because You Loved Me. The fact that this is one of TWO solos that Jenna actually got to finish infuriates me. She was ROBBED because she is an amazing singer.

SANTANA: Nutbush City Limits. LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, MISS NAYA RIVERA. HOLY SHIT. Finn saying before the song, “They say that true divas aren’t really mortal” is so true. This woman was an absolute icon and I will always be blown away by her talent.

JAKE: Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself). It’s so EARNEST and HEARTFELT and Jacob Artist popped off with the acting. And the falsetto!! God it’s just beautiful.

EMMA: Getting Married Today. This is a trio, not a solo, but it’s so fucking good that I HAD to do it. That is literally one of the hardest female songs on Broadway, and for some reason they had Jayma sing it even FASTER than the original version? I can’t imagine the stress of trying to do that, but she was perfect.

SAM: Copacabana. This is just a really fun song! Everyone’s having a good time and Chord sounds amazing.

RYDER: Your Song. This is my favorite Elton John song, and boy was it done justice. The acting is really good in this scene. The mix of anxiety and earnestness coming from Ryder is adorable. He had great chemistry with whoever that girl was. (On a storyline note, I hated how this all developed though. If it had gone my way, Unique would confess it was her, then Ryder would sing this directly to Unique.)

KITTY: Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours. I just really like this number. Obsessed with Becca’s high notes.

MARLEY: Wrecking Ball. The cheating storyline with Bree was so fucking stupid and shouldn’t have happened. That being said, Melissa ATE what they gave her and left zero crumbs. She really came in like a wrecking ball.

UNIQUE: I Know Where I’ve Been. THIS SONG MAKES ME GO FUCKING CRAZY!!! THE TRANS CHOIR!!!! THE ACTING!!!!! THE FUCKING HIGH NOTE!!!!!! IT’S JUST SO GOOD I CAN’T HANDLE IT!!!!!!! This is the best part of season 6, full stop. THE most underrated Glee song ever. I will not accept criticism towards this opinion.
