Mammon:

Mammon notices the sudden change in your mood straight away since he’s always around you

He does his best to try and cheer you up without directly confronting you about it

So he’d invite you out with him and might even spoil you with pretty things in hopes that using his money on you helps distract you from whatever you’re feeling

But that all changes when he sees your self-harm scars

Fear fills him and he knows he can’t just avoid the topic anymore, he doesn’t want to see you in pain or have you harm yourself anymore

So one day when you’re out with him in town, he softly takes your hand and leads you to a bench away from the hustle and bustle of the town

He’s a little cautious, he’s not really good with being direct about his feelings, especially not with you because he gets so nervous and this was serious…he was scared to mess up

“Y’know MC…I may not be the best person to go to about troubling things in your life, but I want ya to know that I’m here for you. I…don’t want to lose you. Actually, I can’t lose you–never. So maybe things are hard for ya right now, but you’re one of the most important people in my life. Your problems are The Great Mammon’s problems as well, so let me in, won’t ya?”

He’s awkwardly rubbing his neck now as he feels his face heating up, but at least he got everything he wanted to say out

So when you do open up to him about your depression, self-harm, and thoughts of taking your own life, he feels relieved that you are finally speaking about it with someone, but he’s also scared that you’ve been feeling that way and he had been trying to ignore it for so long

He’s scared to let you out of his sight after that, so if he shows up to your room at 3am with a spare pillow, you know why

Mammon’s always inviting you to his room as well so you can watch stuff together until you fall asleep

Extra clingy Mammon who’ll probably bug you about how you’re feelings every few minutes, but at least you know someone cares

You’d find all your issues slowly dissolving as he covers you with love and attention, just don’t block him out

Leviathan:

Oh boy, Levi is very overdramatic when he finds out what’s been going on with you

He’s beyond scared to lose you–you’re his only best friend after all, the one who truly understands him and cares for him unconditionally

“I-I’m sorry I didn’t realize MC. I’m such a good-for-nothing. I can’t even tell when the person I care about the most is going through a tough time. Y-you’re amazing MC! You’re one of the best people I know, unlike all these other normies out there. You’re always so kind to me and I just hate that I couldn’t be there for you when you needed me…”

Yeah, he’s definitely beating himself up about it because how could he not realize???

“You’re always here for me, that’s why you’re the only one I felt comfortable telling this to. Please don’t blame yourself…I kinda didn’t want anyone to know at first; I thought I could deal with it on my own…” You’d explain to him

He’s a little relieved to hear it, but it still won’t make him feel any better

Levi is always throwing himself in the ground, so not being there for you at a time when you really needed him AND when he could have potentially lost you, scares him to death

Like Mammon, he keeps you by his side, but in your room since he sleeps in his tub and that’s not very comfortable for you LOL

He’d move all his games and game stations into your room and make a little base there to stay by your side until you’re feeling better

He probably goes to one of his older brothers who are more responsible like Lucifer or Satan and asks for their advice (without giving you away ofc. He’d make it sound like one of his online friends are dealing with this issue since you only trusted him with this info)

He’s very awkward and shy at times, but he’s glad that you trusted him to let him in on the pain you were feeling internally. He makes it his mission (literally, like he’s playing a game, but knowing that it’s far more serious) to get you back on your feet and in a better mental state

And we all know Levi is good at games, so this is one he won’t fail either :)

Satan:

Satan reads a lot, books of all genres, so he picked up on your sudden change in behavior very quickly and he’s actually the one who goes to you first to talk about it

“What’s going on?” He bluntly asks one day when you’re in his room reading with him in a peaceful silence

That catches you off guard…did he know? You could see the serious look on his face so you decide to just open up to him about everything; the depression, the self-harm, and even the thoughts that flash through your mind of taking your own life

Satan listens silently as you speak, taking in all your words and you see his eyes soften the more you reveal to him

“I see…” he’s lost in thought for a moment, but then stands up and walks over to you, taking your hands in his as he leaves a gentle kiss to the back of your hand. “I knew something was up, but I wanted to hear it from you before I assumed too much. I’m sorry you’ve been feeling this way. I’m here though, and now that I know what’s going on, I’ll do anything and everything I can to ensure you feel better.”

And he really will

Whenever you come over to his room to do your daily reading together in each others presence, he spends his time reading books on mental health that give him plenty of advice on how to best help you

He isn’t overbearing though, he gives you your space and allows you to reach out to him whenever you need him, only checking up on you when it seems appropriate so you don’t feel suffocated, but deep down he is worried and scared to lose you

So he offers you his own help, but also asks if you’d like to go to the human world to see or speak to a professional who might be more helpful to you than he could be

He even volunteers to go along with you if you don’t want to go alone–he just wants you to be happy again to not feel so claustrophobic in your own skin

Whatever you decide to do, just know that you have his 10000000% support

Asmodeus:

This man is very dramatic as well, but in a different way than Levi…

He throws tons of compliments your way in hopes that they help lift you up, but really, he’s better at giving physical acts of care

SO, your self-harm scars? He goes out of his way to wash them up and lotion them up, pressing small kisses the the older scars and newer ones as well

“Even with these marks, your skin is still as soft and beautiful as ever, darling. My lovely MC, I’ll do everything I can to take care of you from now on. I’ll pamper you everyday and remind you how much you mean to me, so please don’t harm yourself any longer…”

Asmo isn’t one to be very serious at times, but he knows now isn’t the time to joke around with you, so he’s uncharacteristically very serious, yet still as charming as ever

He’ll treat you to extra tight hugs and kisses, a little scared to let go in fear that he’d never be able to hold you again, so bear with him a little…he can be a bit suffocating

He isn’t the best listener or remarkably great at giving advice that doesn’t have anything to do with fashion or beauty, so he’d probably go to Lucifer for help, or maybe even Solomon, who’s more familiar with human emotions like depression

Anything you need or want, Asmo will get it for you

Get ready to feel more loved than you’ve ever felt before in your life

Barbatos:

He knows…of course he knows, Barbatos knows everything 😀

The first time you attempted to self-harm, he was there to stop you, so you never even got the chance

What he didn’t know about though was your thoughts of attempting to take your life, since you never actually made the move to do it, you only really thought about it

So when he sits down with you to hear you out about attempting to self-harm and you open up about your other darker secrets as well, he’s shocked

Momentarily, it’ll show on his face, but he’ll catch himself and gently smile to you as you continue to speak your mind

He doesn't want you to feel embarrassed by any of this or to beat yourself up for getting caught or for feeling what you feel–you were human and humans experienced moments of intense emotions that they can’t control sometimes, he understood this very well

“Oh dear MC, I am relieved that I was able to stop you this time. Though, I must admit I do feel particularly regretful that I am not able to read minds so I could put your own mind to rest from your dark thoughts. Now that I am aware of everything, I shall do my best to assist you in recovering mentally”

He’s not the most emotional guy out there, but you know he cares for you and when Barbatos dedicates his time and attention to something, he WILL get it done

Barbatos takes your hand in his and presses a delicate kiss onto each of your fingers, and leans his head onto the back of your hand, in almost a way that he’s ready and willing to serve you (not that he didn’t already, but it’s more of like his own way of physically showing his dedication to you??? Does that make sense? KINDA like when a knight is knighted and vows to protect whoever he’s assigned to??? Am I making sense? hopefully…)

He doesn’t need to keep an eye on you because he’d be able to stop you anyway if you ever decided to do anything drastic, but he does free up time in his busy schedule to be with you, he’s dedicated to serving Diavolo, but you very quickly become his number one priority (you already were, but he was never aware of it himself lol)

I don’t know, but I just feel like Barbatos is such a soothing person to be with, his voice is like silk, it wraps you up like a warm blanket and feels like a big tight hug when you need it the most

SO I imagine you’d feel better pretty quickly with all the attention he’s giving you, and the warm tea he makes you????! You’re set for life, get ready to feel brand new

I normally don't really feel comfortable discussing NSFW topics, but I've seen an increase in a very specific type of jason todd content, mostly from one user in particular, that, to me personally, is kind of weird and inaccurate.

Disclaimer: I am in no way trying to kink shame anyone or attack anyone. As long as it's consensual, legal, and not hurting anyone, do what makes you happy. This particular subject is just not for me and this post is going to be more about my headcannons that I've based on canon events as well as my own opinion of jason todd.

So, I've seen an increase in a particular kind of jason content, mostly fueled by like 1 or 2 specific users, portraying jason as this real rough, dominant dude who likes to degrade and choke during sex. I don't really like blocking people, but I might have to block these users. Don't get me wrong, they're not doing anything wrong, it just makes me uncomfortable, personally, as someone who's not into choking or stuff like that. and they don't put the read more line so you kind of have to see it when you're scrolling. I also find it completely inaccurate. Like the people requesting these and writing these looked at one or two images of jason but don't really know anything about the character themselves. So, I'm gonna put some of my own headcannons as someone who has studied this dude for a few years now:

First, Judd Winnick has confirmed over Twitter that jason cries during sex. Now obviously, judd winnick doesn't own Jason and many writers have their own interpretation, but winnick is basically the father and creator of post resurrection Jason and kind of set the blueprint for his behaviors, beliefs, etc. So for that reason, when he posts his own headcannons about jason, I feel more obligated (if that's the right word) to kind of accept it as canon, even when it's really not.

It also just makes sense. It's not as widely talked about, but it's very normal and natural to cry after an orgasm. Sex for a lot of people is considered a very intimate act and an orgasm is like an explosion of pleasure. It can be a little much for people, especially those who haven't experienced it alot, and some people (like myself) don't always know how to handle that much stimulus and feeling all at once and crying is a normal reaction to that. And jason is someone who's not the most intimate person.

Second, I feel like Jason is inexperienced. A lot of these blurbs have him knowing exactly what to do, what spots to hit, totally experienced and "professional". We're talking about a guy who spent 12 years in poverty, 3 years as robin while also being in school, dead, and then training with the league while battling mental illness, ptsd, brain damage, etc. And then in under the red hood, he's very focused on his plan. Even after that in general, he's with the outlaws, on a case, you name it. Dude is always busy with something work wise. I don't see him having a lot of time and energy to be fucking enough to not be awkward.

Speaking of awkward, I've always headcannoned that dude has ZERO rizz. All the reasons I mentioned above, he's probably super socially awkward. That dude is definitely terrible at dirty talk like the stuff I see in those blurbs. I mean, even Isabel has canonically said jason is not a very good kisser.

Third, I DOUBT he's into choking or being rough. All the abuse and shit he's been through, i headcannon that he is more like the opposite. It's intimate, relaxed, soft, etc. He can get a little intense, but not rough or anything.

He's probably actually what some would consider "boring". Pretty standard missionary stuff, maybe sometimes he's getting ridden , probably has oral and stuff, but he does not strike me as a kinky guy

Dude also probably has a normal average dick. I've seen some "8 inches" type shit. Really? 8 inches? I don't remember exactly what the average is in the us, but I'm pretty sure it's like 5 or 6inches.

I can't explain this one, but it's a pretty common headcannon for no real reason, but the vibes, jason is an ass and thighs man. Enough said.

As much as I'd love to think he's the kind of guy who loves spooning and all that, I feel like he's actually the opposite. Bare minimum aftercare kind of stuff and then he's back in his own head again.

When did demanding for the next chapter become the norm? What happened to "I love your work!"? What happened to sending cute little asks yelling about how good the recent chapter is. If there is one thing that I know about writing is that rushed content will always be worse than a chapter that needed a little extra love.

this!!!! i promise this is the last time i'm going to complain about this stuff, but i think i speak for all writers when i say that if you send someone an ask or comment something along the lines of "when are you posting the next chapter?" "will there be another part?" "part 2???" you are going to burn. them. out. i think tiktok and other social media platforms have actually rotted some peoples brains into thinking that writers are content creators who can crank out 6k long works at the snap of your fingers. that's not at all how it works. the creative process takes time and can be draining for a lot of people!!!

i'm going to start deleting and potentially blocking (if it gets bad enough) people who send me asks wondering about the next part to soft spot. you guys, it is so exhausting. like i work full time. i work 10 hour shifts. i've had people send me asks THREE DAYS after i've posted a 10k long chapter asking when i was giving them another part. it's honestly childish and ridiculous. trust me i am trying. i write as often as i can. but please realize i am a human being. i haven't been very secretive about soft spot being a poorly hidden trauma fic, either. what that means is that i'm dumping a lot of my personal experiences into this story because therapy is honestly too damn expensive in this damn country lmao. so give me patience. this is all super personal to me. hounding me isn't going to make me write any faster. i have no schedule. i do not write full time. you're lucky i even post my stories at all. also i feel like i pretty regularly post updates about/sneak peeks of soft spot anyway? so if you guys would even just take a moment to go through my profile you'd probably figure out why the next chapter is taking a bit to be written lmao.

so just... keep that in mind before interacting with the authors of the stories you enjoy. writers do not owe you anything. like they mentioned in the ask, send encouragement. tell people your favorite parts about the story. LITA Ep 3 Rewatch Thoughts

Also Rain and I are equally dumb (I'm including myself here bc if I didn't already know Prapai and Sky were going to have a storyline I probably wouldn't have assumed he liked guys right off the bat) - Sky didn't even flinch when Rain writes down his mission to court Phayu (a guy) and immediately writes down the first tactic. WHICH incidentally is "show up in front of him every day". It's pretty full-circle that Prapai uses this same tactic to woo Sky later on, isn't it? (I also didn't notice that until right now so wow these rewatch posts are helping my analysis skills lmao)

Look at my determined son!! He's gonna get his mans!! (Sky's looking a little skeptical tho)

The Rain-at-the-garage montage contains so many cute shots but this would get too long if I put every single one in, so let's focus on the first meeting with the brothers-in-law (P'Saifah and Rain). How much must Phayu have described Rain for P'Saifah to instantly know who he is on sight? Also P'Saifah probably reported back to Phayu immediately and I'm kinda sad we don't get to see that convo.

I didn't catch this until now but they also foreshadowed Rain missing a deadline in the next scene. Sky tells Rain to finish his work but as soon as Phayu texts him, Rain runs out of the room without having done anything.

Listen, I love P'Aon and his matchmaking skills ok??

Look at Rain, he's trying so hard to be polite with the P'Phayu and the khrap - what a good boy! It's taking everything in him tho lmaooo

The conversation that comes right after this between P'Saifah and Rain is pretty interesting. I love how the narrative keeps trying to tell us that Phayu is some sort of dangerous fellow when all he's done is be a model student and mechanic and teach college freshmen good manners. Could he maybe learn a little something about physical boundaries? Perhaps, but maybe it's just how kind-looking Boss is, but I never got any sense of danger from Phayu, and esp not towards Rain. Rain's reaction to hearing presumably about Phayu's past relationships is quite on-point, and really cements the stubborn and determined attitude he takes towards getting Phayu to like him. It's how we as the audience know he's gonna be successful.

Next up, Phayu arrives in all his fashionably-late glory. This part has me smirking every time because he walks in all suave and stuff but approximately 7 seconds into Rain's pouting he immediately drops all pretenses and becomes so squishy and soft

I LOVE this exchange between them - again, we are getting a full picture of their early relationship dynamics. Phayu has expectations that Rain's gonna be different, and Rain's telling him he's gonna meet those expectations, and Phayu's satisfied "ah just as I thought" face makes an appearance.

I absolutely adore this expression on Rain/Noeul - it's so subtle but powerful

Yay dinner date!! Phayu is taking so many mental notes right here (also pls note this is the same face Rain is making right above)

Phayu is way too good at pressing Rain's buttons omg - he really got Rain to do this with like a single sentence of teasing (tbf Rain is pretty impulsive tho so I'm not surprised)

The poor serviceperson was like pls let me go

Phayu goes through this episode looking wayyy too satisfied imo

But Rain actually does have nice manners - he gave Phayu the utensils and bowl first and does say thank you

This smile should be illegal actually bc it is stealing my heart and soul

And we get another instance of Phayu being very not immune to Rain's pout (this time he doesn't even get to pout for 3 whole seconds before concerned Phayu is feeding him and patting his mouth with a napkin)

We get some more foreshadowing that Rain is going to miss a deadline

ok THIS. These small gestures that Phayu does for Rain have me swooning just as much as their intimate scenes. Something about that sentence is grammatically incorrect but you get my point, right? They could have easily not included them (and idk if these were even scripted) but they make the relationship that much sweeter and believable.

Sooooooo, I saw the post with the ask about Vile HCs and how you rambled on about it, seeing the ending mentioning you have a lot of VileX HCs.

So allow me to be the enabler to hearing about such HCs with this ship in question, VileX.

Disclaimer: I understand that this irl relationship would not be healthy; however, it is all for fun and should be viewed as a sitcom. A lot of it is silliness and sexual tension (I won't go into detail here), but consent is very important to me, so it is definitely present here. I brainstormed a lot of this with my friend @raerrui.

Headcanons:

So, no one at HQ knows how those two ended up together or why X would even consider someone like Vile, but no one questions it too much.

Vile likes X in the same way that he likes his favourite cannon. He cleans and names his cannons, is a weapons nerd, and does not want anyone else to touch them.

As a reploid created from for war, I don't believe the prospect of love is possible for him.

He doesn't get the romantic human mushy crap X is into and probably thinks a lot of it is stupid, but whatever makes his rookie happy. A happy rookie does not whine, nag, or cry, all of which Vile finds annoying.

So, in that sense, he treats X in the same way he would his weapons. When something is broken, you fix it. When someone messes with your weapons, you break their legs and reclaim what is rightfully yours.

It's just Vile's version of being protective and caring, but with more salt and rage. Vile considers X to be his token boyfriend and treats him accordingly.

Vile checks out X the first time he sees him in his first armour. They would go on "let's go blow shit up" dates in Vile's ride armour. X wants to try cute human things, to which Vile groans but agrees (like this). Also, I believe Vile would bring out the worst in X, but in the funniest way possible. He sometimes turns into an angry little blueberry because he is tired of Vile's bullshit.

X gets to see a side of Vile that others do not. Vile's room, complete with a built-in bar, has everything he needs to make killer drinks. He even purchased stupid little umbrellas because X thought they were cute. Basically, X gets to see Vile make something.

The AU bits that live rent free in my head:

It's not fleshed out or anything, but long story short, Sigma has Vile train X (a new recruit), and Vile is pissed about it. He doesn't want to train a rookie; he wants to go out there and blow stuff up, and until X is ready to go on the field, Vile is stuck at headquarters with him. That means he HAS to train him.

Along the way, Vile tries to tick off X because he's bored out of his mind and has nothing better to do, and he refuses to address him by name. Keeps calling him Rookie, it becomes X's nickname. X had had enough after a while.

"Stop calling me that my name is X! X!!" "You haven't earned that right yet, rookie. You can't even hit the targets without missing half of them. Everyone thinks you're so special." He moves closer to X, towering over him. "…But you're not. I don't care what your "title" says about you. You're nothing unless you can prove otherwise." X doesn't flinch. "You don't scare me." "Hah, that's the type of attitude that'll get you killed on the field. "I like it."

I love the idea of them having so much tension at the start. X kinda learns to deal with Vile being Vile.

When X reaches B-rank, he is able to go on missions but needs to be assisted. He wants to try it on his own, and Vile says, "Alright, suit yourself." • But after years and years of being ridiculed by the other Gods, it's going to be difficult for him to really truly accept that

• He's also really a sucker for praise or anything of the like

• A lot of the time he brushes that stuff off in more of a joking manner, but, when coming from you, it's a lot more personal

• The opinions of others never really mattered to him, positive or negative, nothing of what anyone said was going to stop him from doing what he thought was best, but you're a special case

• He always feels like he just so full of love and adoration for you that it's just impossible to express it all

• And that pretty much doubles any time you give him any attention

• He does act a bit aloof sometimes though

• Not intentionally of course, but he's more used to being alone than he is with other people, so he occasionally defaults back into that mindset

• It's like one extreme or the other

• Either you can not pry him off of you for days at a time or you haven't seen him in 48 hours and are getting kind of concerned

• Still, he wants nothing more than for you to only think of him like he only thinks of you

• Humans die, everything dies except you, and of course even Archons can die, but it makes way more sense for you to be close to somebody that has a longer lifespan than less than a century in most humans cases

• He knows what it feels like to have to deal with friends dying, he doesn't want that for you

• So his clinginess is partly for him and partly for you

• Or at least that's how he spins it to justify it to himself

Hell gets pretty hot but some denizens have made Hell's equivalent to ice rinks and it wouldn't be hard for someone like Alastor to get himself and his new friend inside, albeit at first Alastor isn't expecting much. - However upon hitting the stage and doing a lovely solo, finishing with a bow, Alastor's surprised. He knows his friend worked hard as a dancer but he didn't expect this form of talent. He's impressed enough to join the applause, mostly because he wants to encourage his friend, partially just to get the confused and mildly concerned looks from other patrons seeing him in the crowd. - It wasn't Alastor's idea for [Y/N] to join the hotel, it was Charlie's. She was happy to see Alastor with a new friend and insisted he bring in his new friend for at least a tour and Alastor agreed, although begrudgingly. - It would be during a second tour Charlie would ask a few questions as to how [Y/N] arrived in Hell and he'd be very general with it. An injury ruined his career, he fell into substance abuse and probably overdosed. It was blurry. - Before Charlie could hound him into joining the redemption program Alastor pulled him to the side for a quick chat. "This little dump isn't just demon rehab," he would try to be gentle about that part, "she really believes she can get sinners into heaven. Are you willing to try that?" [Y/N] would think on it for a moment and agree, claiming he'd be happy to join if it meant spending more time around his favorite man in Hell. Even Alastor isn't immune to soft blushing and embarrassed mumbles. - Upon joining the hotel it can be rocky at times but hey, he's got arguably the strongest Overlord in his corner (alongside NA and AA friends in Husk and Angel) so, he's got the good end of this shit hole.

Angel Dust - Angel dances in Hell himself, albeit in a different manner. Upon meeting a man who also danced he got the wrong idea admittedly. It didn't take him long to recognize someone in a situation similar to the one he was in when he first arrived. - He's the quickest to offer a guy down on his luck a place to stay and [Y/N] is wary but grateful. Angel has to advertise the hotel (it's part of his free room clause) but [Y/N] isn't interested, he just wants to experience his old passion again. Angel decides right then he's going to help. - Angel's first idea is to suggest his own work but [Y/N] politely refuses. The next idea is obvious - the skating rink, or at least what's supposed to be one. He can't afford the best one but he'll empty his pockets for a night if it brings his friend happiness. - Angel is in absolute awe in seeing his friend perform. The smooth strokes across the ice, the spin-bow at the end, it's inspiring. Angel's got to try that next time he performs. - It's later that night, on their walk back to Angel's place that he asks what got [Y/N] in Hell, and he's broad in explaining the ankle injury, substance abuse and sudden death. Angel understands a little too well and again, suggests the hotel. "It's not exactly the Ritz but I can get you a free room and they'll get you off anything you're using, and you'll be safe." [Y/N] finally agrees to give it a try. - Charlie is happy to see Angel finally got around to keeping his end of the contract and Vaggie is interested in another soul to rehabilitate. Angel is excited to just have someone he can genuinely relate to, and a new reason to get off whatever his dope of the week is. He's happy to be there for [Y/N]. Husk - This man infamously doesn't give two shits about anyone but himself, however he's intrigued when he overhears some drunk going into detail about how his drinking habits got him to Hell. So Husk moves closer to listen. - [Y/N] has only been in Hell for a couple of weeks but it's been awful already. Yes his ankle injury is healed but the addictions followed him and he can't seem to get off his substances of choice despite how expensive they are. - Husk, knowing it's a little out of character for himself, decides to indulge and sit next to this new guy and probe a little. Cats are infamously curious. So [Y/N] goes on further about his dancing career, his ankle injury and how he spiraled from there. Husk doesn't have much of a response but offers to buy him a couple of drinks for the night and, in exchange [Y/N] can tell him more about himself, and [Y/N] agrees. - It's a few nights later when Husk leaves the hotel early to meet his friend again, he's been staying in some dingy ass hotel with rent he can hardly pull and Husk has been [Y/N]'s alcohol maintenance. He intended to see [Y/N] in private but a special shadow tagged along. - [Y/N] is up in his hotel room nursing a hangover when Husk arrives with a cheap bottle of rum and some Tylenol. [Y/N] is searching through his bag for his bottle of pain killers and can't find it, asking Husk if he's seen it. Husk just sighs and tells [Y/N] to look behind him, to which he obliges. He's met with a not-so-friendly friendly face. - "Husker, if I'm correct I've seen Angel with these pills. I don't believe they're pain killers." Alastor still adorns that grin but he doesn't look pleased and Husk genuinely doesn't have an excuse. He can't bail himself or [Y/N] out of this one. - "Initially I just wanted to see which broad of the week you were visiting but I see you had other plans." Neither [Y/N] or Husk are very happy with the term Alastor dropped. "I have other plans too, I think you'll both be pleasantly surprised." Alastor didn't await an answer before clicking his fingers and the world went black for about 2 seconds. Husk already knew where this was going. - It was against either Husk's or [Y/N]'s personal interests to sign him up with the hotel. [Y/N] isn't exactly happy about the hotel enrollment but, he can help Husk with the bar and get off the substances. It's a win-win deal.

Charlie - She'll never admit it, but she has a soft spot for people who find themselves in Hell for reasons that ultimately aren't evil, simply...Unfortunate. It's [Y/N] who would approach Charlie, asking about the rent of a room and the substance programs. - The two would have a short but sweet conversation. What landed [Y/N] here and what does he hope to achieve through this program? Charlie is sympathetic to his ankle injury and lost career, she offers him a free room and programs, under the agreement he interacts with others in his programs and [Y/N] agrees, signing the no-rent lease. - It's through this he would meet Husk and Angel, both of whom aren't exactly looking to get off their poison of choice but are in the programs regardless. Angel is easy to make friends with, Husk not so much but Charlie encourages [Y/N] to try harder. Husk is a little crude and mean, but he doesn't mean any harm. - In the end, I'd see [Y/N] getting closer to Husk, someone who will intervene in his drinking and drug habits and try to get him clean outside the programs. [Y/N] does the same for Husk, they develop a healthy friendship off that foundation. - As with Charlie, she tries to develop a friendship with all her hotel patrons and usually it doesn't go the best, but [Y/N] seems interested in her. Charlie loves to spend time with [Y/N] and others who will spend time with her, but mostly [Y/N]. She's happy to see at least one soul who's dedicated to her program, and she has highest hopes for him. She's already paid for his ankle surgery and encourages him to perform for the hotel, though she'll never force him to. She's by far the kindest of the group.

Vaggie - Vaggie is a strict woman and doesn't often hold sympathy for people who find their own way into Hell, like Angel. But [Y/N] was different. He could have been an angel, had he not been injured. It seemed unfair. - She'd approach him casually one night and ask if he plans to continue his substance use. He'd respond that he doesn't know much else to do, it's not like Hell has rehab. It was that quick, Vaggie has a way with words when it comes to substance abusers. She probably abused something during life herself. - Her first work is to enroll him into the hotel, introduce him to Charlie and set him into specific programs. She can't really stop him from interacting with Husk and Angel, though she doesn't want him to. - However, his interactions with the two seem to help steer him onto the right path. He isn't as stuck as Angel is with drugs and can still get his way out of drug use. He's not as hollow and self-wallowing as Husk is and can let go of alcohol. He can replace his substance use with something new and healthy. - With Charlie's financial help it's arranged to have his ankle repaired and he agrees to stay with the hotel and use his dancing career to advertise the hotel. Vaggie is grateful she's found someone who's genuinely invested in changing their wrong ways, and has high hopes for him.

so firstly, full disclosure that I haven't lived in Edinburgh for about a year now, but my sister still does so I visit all the time. Generally, I think the city is a great place to live if you're trans, or queer in general. There's a great queer scene with clubs and sober spaces, Edinburgh pride is great, Portobello (Porty) pride is well worth a visit and only a bus from the city centre, Glasgow pride is also great if you can get the train across. Events like the terf screening are absolutely an outlier, stuff like that is gonna happen in big cities just due to numbers - it is the capital of Scotland after all. Occasionally there are random terf stickers on lampposts, but i've seen at least twice as many pro-trans stickers about. In regards to that screening, the number of people who turned out to protest far outnumbered the people actually there to see the stupid film, and the protest was supported by the uni's staff pride network (i know because my sister was there on their behalf as an organiser/first-aider hah)

on that note, i think edinburgh uni is also pretty good for trans stuff - I wasn't out as trans yet when i was at uni, but I had friends who were trans and they didn't seem to have any issues on the uni/admin side of things. The uni has a pretty good student pride society, and as i mentioned, there's a staff pride network, so there's a solid bunch of staff who would be in your corner if you did have any issues. The uni's student support in general is okay - the general standard for that stuff honestly isn't great in the UK, and I wouldn't say edinburgh's is amazing, but they did help me out a couple of times (with non-lgbt stuff).

you'll probably know more about me than the applications process for uni in regards to chosen name etc, and it depends if you're applying through UCAS (in the UK) or if you're abroad, so i'll leave you to more knowledgeable people on that. I would say that if you apply in your chosen name, any post you receive about applications will be in the name you apply with, so keep that in mind if the people you live with aren't supportive - terribly sorry that you're in that situation, by the way. It really does get better once you're away from them.

in regards to transition, if you're wanting to be referred to a GIC, you'll likely be referred to Chalmers centre, which seems to have a waiting time of about 2 years currently - that sounds like a lot but from what i can gather, that's quite a lot lower than most places in the UK (i'm in NE england and my nearest centre isn't even taking referrals because their waiting list is 6+years long 😭). Once you're registered with a GP you should be able to ask them about a referral and they can give you more info.

overall I think that Scotland is probably just a better place to live if you're trans in the UK - scottish parliament supported self-ID (i'm actually unsure if this has come into effect yet, need to do some googling) and if they weren't under the UK gov, they were going introduce legal third gender options too. The SNP and scottish parliamentary partiers absolutely have some outspoken transphobes, but they're much more of an outlier than in westminster, so generally i think the outlook for trans people is just way more positive in Scotland - I'm certainly planning to move back there as soon as the circumstances line up for me. It's pretty scary everywhere in the UK right now in terms of policy (and general attitude, to an extent) but yeah i think overall Edinburgh and Scotland in general are your best bet.

I know I haven't mentioned her very much online, but Zira, my beloved poodle and dearest friend for the last 14 years... was put to sleep the day before my birthday.

It broke my heart, but it had to be done; she was old, she had health problems, and the vet said she wouldn't make it by the time I came home.

I wasn't even able to say goodbye to her. Unless a "be good, doggo." counts as I dropped her off for boarding about an hour before I was given the... news.

I was left unresponsive for the rest of the 8th and most of the 9th. It wasn't until my aunt (who previously owned one of Zira's littermates and lost him to similar circumstances a few years prior) took a moment to talk to me that I finally cracked, letting out everything I was bottling up. Had it not been for her reaching out, I probably would still be in a silent state even now, unable to do anything other than lie down and cry because Zira was gone and it felt as though no one else gave a shit beyond obligatory "I'm sorry"s.

I soon learned how wrong I was in that last regard, as I eventually talked about it with my mother who, much like her daughter, isn't one for crying regularly. To actually see her upset to the point of tears over Zira's fate despite almost never interacting with her... it... I'm not sure how to put it, but it was relieving to know that my mom really did care, both about how I felt and about Zira in the end.

Zira was... well, I didn't call her my "fuzzy baby child" for nothing. She meant everything to me, and to think that starting today, I'll be coming home without her there to greet me, to lie at the end of my couch while I sleep, curl up beside me while I draw, or even so much as hear those cute little snores she made while napping... it just hurts. More than I've ever felt in my life.

I can feel myself tearing up as I type, so... I guess I should finish this off. I'm home now, and have already visited the animal hospital to retrieve the collar and bandanna Zira was wearing, which the vet was kind enough to hold onto per my request. Alongside those were a card with Zira's paw print, and a picture of my girl.

I don't know when I'll start posting again, but I'll try not to take too long. And I'll continue to lurk and talk here and there, if only sparingly.

To those who read this to end, I thank you for for your time.

And to those who still have fuzzy (or scaly/feathery) baby children of their own... Cherish them. Give them as great a life as you can, and when the time comes for them to leave... Do what my aunt told me to do; hold onto the memories of them while they were alive. It still hurts, especially since I lost Zira so recently...

But my aunt's not wrong. Because after I cry over seeing Zira's stuff, I find myself remembering my fuzzy baby child fondly, and smile when I thought I no longer could.

BTW! I don't know how popular any of these are! Whatever I say about fans of this stuff is things I can infer or have seen from a few people. Also any you know that I haven't mentioned tell me about! Arthur x Mary Honestly, not a lot of thoughts on this one. I like seeing their past relationship but I can't find them in the game very interesting. They seem like they really were in love in some way a long time ago but now I just like them as friends

I recently checked out r/fake disorder cringe to see if they had any good points. I gotta broaden my perspective and all that.

Bad news, they had no good point (shocking, I know), good news, they gave me room to think about my opinion on both sides.

I might make more posts about this, and it will be unorganized because I'm clearly faking mental illnesses I never said I had.

So starting off with the dumbest thing I've seen be posted, someone was posted on Fdc because they wanted to get diagnosed... the kid wanted to get diagnosed with bpd because they felt tired of feeling crazy, you know what the comments talked about, they talked about how people will make you feel more crazy if you get diagnosed AND people were saying she might have developmental issues because her eyes were droopy???

Another warning for abelism

From what I've seen, fdc is big on actual diagnosis, and they DESPISE self diagnosis, so if you support getting diagnosing, why are you actively trying to hurt someone who's trying to get diagnosed. If they got diagnosed, then they wouldn't be self diagnosing, and they could possibly find out what they might actually have if it's not actually bpd.

But to bring up the points mentioned in the comments "could just be hormones" now I won't say this is the dumbest argument I've heard (if you've been on the subreddit then you know) but if they've been feeling this way long enough then maybe they know they have it, it's almost like they lived their life and you haven't been there their whole life. But if it is just hormones and they still get diagnosed and have to deal with trying to get rid of it, how does that effect you exactly, they are the ones who have to deal with hours of paperwork, phone calls, appointments, legal stuff probably, and much much more. It doesn't affect you and all you would need to do in the end if you sit back and go "HA TOLD YA SO" scummy, but you could do it.

Another comment thing I saw was people saying that dissociation can only equal DID, which isn't true. I even saw a post that was labeled as DID, and people still said they were faking DID in the comments. A recent post I saw was about this guy singing, and then he dissociates, and people in the comments said he was faking DID.

I'm gonna ignore their number one argument on the sub where they say, "It doesn't look like that😡" because that's too easy. Instead, I'm gonna talk about how it could just not be DID. First off, with something easy, if they like that song, they could dissociate due to an attention disorder, or just cus, the op also didn't show the caption so I don't even know if they are making the claim that they have DID. For all I know, the tiktoker could be saying, "I don't have DID. I was just being silly and wacky, lmao." Also ,it doesn't come on in a second." That would make sense because not only is the video sped up, but also you could see the gradual shift before finally dissociating.

Hello friend! I'm so sorry for my ramblings... Regarding your 'Levi rewritten as the Avatar of Gluttony' post: I think it just boils down to Beelzebub's fucked-up writing. I mean, all the characters have been destroyed and lost all significance (and because solmare is too lazy to fix it and support the OG game, we've now got a lazy isekai within an isekai to milk the whale players even more ((((::::: fun but anyways), but Beel's particularly bad. Gluttony, mainly, means over-indulgence and »The Lord of Flies« is obviously mostly tied to food, however, the actual sin as per mentioned in the Bible is often associated with alcohol. This is a goofy example but no matter the circumstances, Shane from Stardew Valley could be the Avatar of Gluttony🤡. Disregarding fasting or Sabbath is also linked to Gluttony, which is probably why they've written Beel to be dense-ish, I think? Desiring delicacies and being picky etc. is considered gluttonous as well, but Beelzebub eats everything, even plates and stuff lol Like, they could have made him desire Celestial Realm food because that's what he was used to and he would get sick otherwise, but no. The most well-written characters in terms of their sin are, in my humble opinion, Lucifer and Levi. Belphie's solid in terms of essence but the writing🪦 Asmo and Beel are so bad though. Especially Asmo, who's slowly been fixed by the fandom but... but canon Asmo is the epitome of terrible writing and missed opportunities. Enough pessimism!!! I loved reading your thoughts, you articulate yourself very well and it would have been a powerful piece, but would an Otome Game with a gacha system really criticize consumerism and the apathetic, clinical nature of modernity and absence of satisfaction like that? Hello!! Firstly, never apologize for your ramblings! We accept ramblers in this household (<- is the biggest rambler of all)

Secondly, I haven't actually played the original obey me game in so long I think I've sanded down a lot of the bad writing bits lol. Like, I remember the complaints and out Satan just be reduced down to his love of cats, but that's about it?

I'm actually pretty optimistic about Nightbringer. I think that the writing is really solid, I know we haven't gotten much, and I'm still stuck at level 6, but I think (hope?) That Solmare has a solid vision of what they want this game story's to be. Something I think they lacked in the original game.

I like the idea of Beel being picky about what he eats, and him desiring Celestial realm food! I can't blame Solmare too much for taking the food route with Beel, as Gluttony is so often associated with food.

I think Beel's biggest flaw is a lack of secondary characteristics. Every character is pretty typical with their sin. Mammon is Greed, so he's constantly scheming on how to make money and steals things. Which sounds shallow, but it's what Solmare did with Mammon outside of his sin that made him interesting. He's a Tsun, he's overconfident, he has a secret soft side, etc.

Even Asmo has an identity outside of his sin. I know you don't think he's well-written, and maybe I've forgotten his bad writing and am just remembering his fannon characterization, but I think he's pretty good. His egotism is a cool touch, as well as his need to constantly be desired. I do think that fans have done way more with his character than Solmare even did, exploring how Asmo is terrified to gain weight, and how he feels like he's only good for his looks, something that's only been hinted at in game. Overall though? Idk, I think he's neat.

(Of course, ignoring his creepy tendencies in game. Because, yikes, does Solmare make some uh.... bold writting decisions sometimes)

Beel, again, lacks a strong character voice. Besides his hungry, what can you describe him as? A gentle giant? Very chill and blunt? On a houseful of outspoken demons, he's definitely the most chill to be around when he's not hungry. Which can be a rather of fresh air to some, but can also leave him lacking.

In the first 18 lessons, this was harder to notice because Beel's section was actually very well done, in my option. Hearing him talk about his guilt about saving Belphie while you're secretly helping Belphie was very interesting.

It's a shame that Solmare didn't do more with Beel.

If I could tweak Beel, instead of changing his whole character, I would lean into Beel's kindness. Beel's kind heart is a rarity among demons, and with how quick he was to befriend Luke, and appear to hide him in his room was really sweet. Beel has a really good sense of right and wrong, and characters even remarked how loyal Beel is.

Leaning into that, making him the most angelic brother who does a 180 when his hunger is out of control. I know they already kinda did this characterization with Satan, how he's normally pretty polite unless he's angry, but I think it would be possible to pull off.

Beel could feel very ashamed when he snaps out of his Gluttony inflicted rampage, vowing to do better next time, even though it's a Sisyphean goal. Because, unlike the other sins, hungry is a physical feeling you can't fight like being prideful or not stealing something. This makes him like his twin as both of their sins are physical, which would explain why they're so close, as they never blame each other for their sins taking control and making them do things.

Having Beel be so angelic, so perfect, could also make the other characters jealous. Because he's a shining example of not falling and becoming corrupt like his brothers. Even Lucifer fall and became monstrous, but Beel refused to sink to that level.

Having Beel be so ashamed of his hungry would make a good arc, as Beel could try to train himself to have restraint over food. When you and he have a pact together, he could ask you to force him not to eat food when it's right in front of him. He could try to beat his sin and get it under control.

Having Beel be so ashamed of his sin is also very interesting when you think about his relationship with Lucifer. On all accounts, Beel should hate Lucifer for causing them all to fall, to dooming him to his life, but because of Beel's loyalty he never voices this opinion, so he and Lucifer are stuck in this awkward spot with Beel being willing to follow Lucifer anywhere, and Lucifer knowing how much Beel is ashamed of his sin and how he tries to overcome it. When he was the cause of his sin, and how he is unable to fight his own sin.

I don't have many ideas, besides what I already talked about for Gluttony, but I'm interested in doing something with "pride before the fall" for Pride? Lucifer in the game is basically perfect, so we don't see much of him getting overconfident and failing because of his hubris.

Having a character whose fatal flaw is hubris would be interesting!

Lust is also an interesting sin to play around with. Maybe link it to egoism. There's this new trend, idk if yall seen it yet, of people using Hr speak when talking with their friends. Like "are you in the right headspace to hear bad news right now?", "don't ask me to help you move.", as well as cutting off friendships coldly because "we seem to be on different paths at this moment of time". How detached people have become, and how they believe that they're the main character of the universe.

This isn't like, a complete misdirect from Asmo, I think Asmo is very egotistical and this wouldn't be a complete change. But I think it's still a good jumping off point for an Oc.

What are some of your favorite books/arcs in comics?

Hello there :D you sent this the same day as that fav books ask I answered last week, so sorry for taking so long to get to this I then ALSO got the ask for beginner friendly comics and basically this is a long time coming here are a few of my favorite comics and graphic novels ever, including some repetitions from the beginner friendly ask lmao

So for Deadpool I have said this a million times and I will say this again: the 2012 run by Posehn and Duggan is fucking GOD. It's funny and witty and a little gory like any good wade comic yes, but it's also got so much heart and I love the cast and it brought in Ellie who's just fucking EVERYTHING to me. I'm also enjoying the current run of Deadpool by Alyssa Wong like no run of Deadpool since, and if you're looking for a run of marvel comics to pick up right now oh my God start there for real

Obviously another favorite is Spider Gwen - mostly the original Radioactive Spider-Gwen, but Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider and Ghost Spider are also really good, just not quite as solid and unfortunately the story told in them gets cut off and has yet to be continued. Obviously Spider-Gwen has been a solid 15% of my personality over the past year and I literally lectured on what it has to say on the main 616 universe but I just love earth-65's versions of Gwen, Captain Stacy, Harry Osborn, Emjay, and Matt Murdock (Murderdock my beloved) soooo fucking much like everyone in this cast is fucking amazing!!! If you let me talk about Spider Gwen I probably won't shut up

Anyway another one of my favorite books is Spider Men: Worlds Collide. It collects Spider Men and Spider Men II, and it focuses on two team ups between Peter and Miles, one back when they lived in separate universes and the other after the Ultimate universe got ixnayed and Miles was transported to 616. I actually prefer Spider Men II overall, I think it's a great story and it has one of best bi!peter panels imho, but both stories are great and very recommended.

Still with Marvel, if you haven't read the 2014 Scarlet Witch run by James Robinson, oh my God you're missing out. Every issue is drawn by the a different artist, except for the last issue which is drawn by the same artist as the first, which really works cause it happened right after the magneto-isn't-her-dad retcon so she's searching for her identity. The writing is gorgeous and all of the artists do an amazing job. I showed a panel to my niece once and she hasn't shut up about it for a year, it's that pretty. So it's worth reading for the art alone, I cannot emphasize this enough, but I love the story and the use of Agatha too.

I also love love love love LOVE Alias. Can we talk about how good Alias is? I feel like people don't talk about how good Alias is enough. Like I said in my beginner's rec post, it deals with really heavy stuff, but it does it with such gravitas! I love the noir feel, I love the way the art reflects what's going on with Jessica, I love the flashbacks, I love Jessica/Luke, like everything about it is amazing.

Moving onto DC, we have to mention Watchmen since it's the first comic I ever read. Is it good? ... Like I said with the question of is it beginner friendly, I have no idea. But you asked for my favorites, and as the first comic I ever read it holds a real place in my heart. A lot of it still haunts me, honestly. Say what you will on the dark age of comic books and what it led to later, I love it.

And then ofc there's Under the Red Hood. Do I even have to say it? My obsession with Jason is as easily observed as my obsessions with Wade Wilson or any version of Gwen Stacy. This story is iconic, it's so well written, I love the art, it's fucking heartbreaking. My guys I love this story so goddamn much.

I haven't read nearly as much Superman as I'd like to - I'm working on it don't you worry - but I recently read the Death of Superman trilogy and the third book in particular, The Return of Superman - also called The Reign of the Supermen in some editions I believe - is soooooo good. I actually almost sent in a lecture just about this book instead of my lecture about Smallville, but ultimately I have more to say on Smallville so I went with that, but still. Guys, the different Supermen here, the things they represent, not to mention just how fucking great Kon is in his first appearance and how much I sympathize with Lois here - there's so much to love about this. Plus I love late '80s and '90s Superman art, there's something about that specific time period's art style that I just find hits exactly in the right spot.

Batwoman: Elegy!!! Greg Rucka my beloved <3 honestly I'm still mad I hadn't read this before I did my og comic book lecture on the Jewish nature of the medium, it's so good at representing all the ideas I was trying to put into words, but also the art and the narrative and the character it's trying to introduce all make such an impression, it's so fucking good.

Moving onto indie comics, we have to talk buffy comics. I have read a lot of buffy comics. Not even close to all of them, I fell off the wagon somewhere around mid season nine and only purchased a bit of season ten, but I still have a certain affection in my heart for season eight, since I found all of it in the second hand booth at my first ever con. I also think Angel: After the Fall is fucking excellent.

This is already too long so I'll just life a few more things here - Nimona and Lumberjanes - ND Stevenson, my guys, like they just do it every time. Giant days, paper girls, also great indie comics. There's a graphic novel called witchy I really love - I recently realized there's a vol 2 and I desperately need to read it, I genuinely just thought it ended on a cliffhanger forever.

Finally, maybe this doesn't belong on this list at all, but Maus. I feel like Maus should be required reading for every adult on the face of the earth. Obviously as a Jewish person it's particularly affecting for me, but I don't think it's a coincidence there was a recent banning of the book. It's incredibly impactful and in our times of rising antisemitism it is incredibly important as well. Do yourself a favor and read it.

I do ship the ship, if you've looked through my blog at all that's very apparent

I haven't finished writing it all yet but uhh. From what I have written so far it's going to be pretty long. I'm holding back so much to not talk about the whole divorce fic I have planned out for the two but I can't promise I can stop the Divorce Rant. It's all under the cut

Ok I've finished writing, took me around 2 hours of thought collecting and writing and boy is it a large chunk of writing. Enjoy.

1. What made you ship it?

Ok ok to put it in the most simple of contexts it was Breadcrust Crusaders that caused me to ship them. Yes, the fanfiction about McDonald's. That one.

With that aside, let me get into the real nitty gritty of this.

First of all, they're foils. They have enough similarities in what sort of characters they are, but they also have enough differences to make them truly work. Caesar prides himself on his heritage and family; Joseph doesn't, he cares about his family but he won't do things in the honour of his family name like Caesar would. Caesar had to look after all his siblings from an early age, and later survived on the streets in a gang (so he was possibly homeless at that point too?); Joseph was an only child that grew up with wealthy family members, possibly in a large house too (I cannot for the life of me remember if where Joseph lived is mentioned like that at all). Inferring from the material, Caesar's a "rise and grind" sort of person (he spent all those years on the street looking for his father to kill him. That's dedication. He was certainly on the grind), and of course, Joseph's very much not that (his most hated phrases are literally "hard work" and "work hard"). Caesar's a more serious person, Joseph's more laid back. The list can go on.

The similarity that truly makes them foils imo (excluding being hamon users obvs) is that they both came from "broken" homes. Caesar's father left his family at a young age, his mother taking the rest of the cash they had left and leaving (or it was another family member that did that? I know someone took the money and that Caesar didn't have a mother). Joseph's father was killed when he was a newborn, his mother having to leave him behind. Joseph grew up with nobody but his grandmother and a surrogate father of sorts to call family. Caesar grew up with nobody but his siblings (whose fates were not touched upon – they could've died for all we know) and eventually gang members to call a family. They both seem to have anger issues too (Caesar's first form of attack before getting trained by Lisa Lisa was hitting someone over the head with a crowbar, and Joseph somehow managed to get arrested 3 times in total before turning even 20, probably has to do with his whole thing of beating up cops) and I believe that the sort of childhood they both had caused/is linked to it, but that's a post for another day.

Their differences balance each other out – Caesar's there with his seriousness and his grind mindset (god I can't believe I'm using that phrase unironically) in order to push Joseph into action when needed, and Joseph's there with his more chill and lighthearted personality to get Caesar to actually relax for once when needed. Joseph has an education, whereas Caesar probably doesn't due to their respective childhoods. Caesar would be able to do more practical things such as cooking and cleaning, whereas Joseph probably doesn't know how to do all of that as he comes from a wealthy family and other people likely did it for him. They're like food (I apologise I feel as if I'm going to go a little insane now I'm comparing them to food). You know you can mix honey with spicy stuff to make really good sauces? Like the sweet and the spicy clash against each other because they're different and thus end up simultaneously balancing and bringing out their flavours more, making them better than how they would be separate? That's them. Not only do they balance each other out, but they fill the niche the other does not have, and if they'd had more time together in canon, I'm sure they'd have character development into more well-rounded people due to these differences. Caesar could teach Joseph life skills; Joseph could help Caesar with the education he wouldn't have been able to access.

Their similarities provide them with a sense of connection to one another. I'm not too sure how to explain it, but despite their "broken homes" being different, they're fundamentally the same, and if they'd had the chance to actually talk and tell each other about it in canon they would've had a "Oh shit your just like me fr" moment. To have the same sort of past grants you a sort of bond with the other person you can't get anywhere else, a sort of "you understand me like nobody else can" sort of thing. That bond is the foundation of the ship imo, with their personalities and differences being the extra stuff on top.

To put it simply, they fit together like lego, and boy, I love putting lego in my mouth.

2. What are your favourite things about the ship?

THE ANGST OH GOD THE ANGST...I like angst a normal amount. I think the caejose ship specifically is great for angst, because of what actually happens with Caesar's death. I feel neutral/vaguely like most other ships in the jjba fandom (Joseq has my heart though <3), probably because to me nothing feels as raw and genuine as the act Caesar did for Joseph. Like with Kakyoin his final act was for the whole remaining team and not Jotaro specifically, same with Abbacchio and Bucciarati (no hate on the ships for those though! If anyone comes across this and gives me shit for it I will literally eat your digestive tract). The fact Caesar put all of his hamon – his life energy, essentially his entire being – into that hamon bubble speaks volumes about their bond, their connection, and it makes the death so much angstier. Caesar wanted to protect Joseph so much that in his dying moments he created a protective casing made solely of materials from himself around Joseph's last hope of living, and GOD....I actually can't

It's so incredibly fucked he gets crushed by a stone that's shaped like a cross. Like genuinely what the fuck (♥️). I don't think Araki ever explained why it was cross-shaped, but that's way too specific of a shape to just be brushed off, it probably has some narrative importance and idk if I'm correct but I'll sure take a shot at guessing! It's just. I feel like the rock being shaped like that is symbolic of Caesar being "crushed by the weight of his sins", his sins being loving Joseph. It happens almost immediately after he creates that blood bubble for Joseph, and that HURTS man. Gets crushed by the cross right after such an act of love it just feels like a fuck you and OUGH

The blood bubble in general actually. Let's not talk about the bandanna and such as I've already gone over Caesar giving literally almost every last piece of him in that one final gift.

The antidote ring. Oh, the antidote ring. First of all, it's a ring, so it's linked to marriage, and marriage is linked to love, so forth. BUT. It's Whammu's antidote ring specifically. It's the antidote for the Wedding Ring of Death around Joseph's heart. The heart. I am actually feeling tired eepy atm so I can't articulate on that more, maybe you can come to your own more detailed conclusion on that but AOUGH

Joseph also doesn't die after Caesar does! He has to live with the guilt of Caesar dying because of their argument that they never got to reconcile from! Waoh!!! That's angst you can develop on in a lot of ways! Love that!

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on the ship?

Ok most of my complaints mostly extend to the Classical Yaoi genre as a whole so I won't mention those. However I have seen some fanarts that just...make one of them thin as hell??? Like not even feminine (Where's my fem Joseph art at tho. Where's my massive tiddied babygirl at do I have to carry that entire genre by itself I'm bad at drawing), just thin. Of course I won't extend this sort of feeling towards artsyles that just don't translate beefiness well into it as that's understandable, as well as people starting to get into drawing as drawing muscles is pretty hard. But you can just tell when that sort of thing is a blatant choice, you know? Idk why, it just rubs me the wrong way. Especially with Joseph. Just. Bro it doesn't fit his character at all. Do you KNOW how scary really tall lanky white British boys can be??? Both thin or both beefy, one or the other, all or nothing

I also don't like how Joseph gets wooed/flustered over Caesar's flirting. I'm sorry but his flirting is shit it sounds like he's listing the most cliche romantic stuff from a textbook to those women. It might be the AAA battery within me speaking (aromanticism + asexuality + autism) but how the hell would anyone fall for his flirting?

"Your eyes are one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen" Where's the heart? Where's the soul? Where's the meaning? Can you truly show how much you love someone like that when it can be said for everyone else, a simple copy paste? Where's the intimacy? Where's the fucking love???

It's all so hollow and meaningless, and I'm sure Joseph would hate that sort of flirting. He'd probably take the piss out of Caesar doing it, if anything. He'd want something with substance, something that actually had meaning to it. As much as I do enjoy caejose complimenting/flirting with each other I feel like it almost all falls into that and I hate it. I want to see them do things that actually shows them caring about each other. Joseph trying his best to learn as much as he can about Italian culture and maybe a bit of Italian himself because of how much Caesar cares for his heritage. Caesar prompting Joseph to talk about his interests because he likes how passionate Joseph is about them. That sort of thing. Just something, anything that gives their relationship some meat, that makes it feel more real. Please.

This probably doesn't come as a shock but I want them to divorce at least once. I love divorce and because of the stuff above they work perfectly for it. I don't mind how they'd end up (remarry, stay divorced into joseq, remarry + caejoseq, stay divorced but still go into caejoseq via other means) I just need them to divorce so badly. I am. Wanting to talk about the planned caejose divorce fic so much but I won't I've held out this long I won't talk about caejose divorce

Mario Wonder Direct Thoughts...continued.

Ok...where were we? The Badges right. I think the most interesting thing about the Badges is how to acquire them. It seems you can get them through a variety of mean, but the simplest is just buying them. If you'll recall the Wonder Flower (the glowing flower that transforms the level) also gives you a new purple currency. It seems certain shops in the Flower Kingdom can take them for things like Badges as well as some other stuff. It seems you can even get Wonder Seeds from shops. Wonder Seeds are what you collect after activating the Wonder Flower, and after beating a level. You need them to unlock certain levels. And oh my God! I know we talked about the levels already, but those overworlds. They look so nice! It also contains open areas with a collection of levels that you can play in any order. But I know what we're all...wondering. ha ha. Who is the villa-It's Bowser. Like what the fuck did you expect? It may be new and fresh, but it's still a Mario game. Yeah Bowser wants the Wonder Flower who cares, blah blah. But Multiplayer! That's what we want. Local Multiplayer is the same as always. 4 Players. Assumingly it's as chaotic as always. Though I still haven't seen someone pick another player up. So help me god if that's been removed. Anyway, one thing I can say for sure that is disappointing is sharing a life counter. I don't know. It's not a big deal, I just prefer when each player has their own. But either way I'm sure it'll be as fun as ever. They've perfected multiplayer in Mario Wii, 14 years ago. I'm sure even if it's not my favorite it'll still be good. Baseline minimum. So what else do I have to say? I mean I rambled on so long it's taken me 2 posts to get all my thoughts out. I mean there was some new enemies. They seem fun. We saw more of the Wonder Flower stuff. We didn't get much new info, but did see some more of the wacky ways it changes the levels. Honestly, it just looks like a fun time. I can't wait to get my grubby fingers on this game. If you're interested I will probably stream it, or do an LP on it in some way. I'm super excited for this. It's really been a while since I've felt this excited for a new 2D Mario. Like...Ugh. October 20th can't get here soon enough. Well the Pokemon DLC will hopefully keep me satiated. There was a lot in this direct, and I'm sure I missed something. I mean we never mentioned Prince Florian. Not much to say though. He's the prince of the Flower Kingdom. Nice to have a prince instead of a princess like usual I guess. Though I saw a lot of theories the Flower Kingdom would be connected to Daisy somehow even though it's not Sarasaland. I was kinda hopeful it'd be like a sub shoot of Sarasaland in some way and we'd be able to finally explore the area in a game that doesn't look like...well, a Gameboy launch title. But I always knew it wasn't likely. Womp Womp. But yeah let's end this now. It's gone on long enough and I talked about everything that really caught my eye.
