some random reboot headcanons because I just finished season 1 but you can clearly tell who my favorites are

Lauren/Scary Girl is so transfem demigirl to me and I can't explain why

Lauren showed Damien smile HD and/or cupcakes and now he's traumatized

Damien got into science from those grow your own crystal kits

I feel like he has a favorite word

Lauren got Damien a cactus and he named it after the shade of green it was

Raj taught Bowie how to ice skate

Raj has absolutely no storage space on his phone so Bowie's always the one taking photos

Wayne will tease Raj about literally anything but if he notices Raj getting upset he immediately stops

They play wrestle CONSTANTLY (and Bowie has to watch and make sure nobody breaks anything)

Wayne LOVES pies

He actually gets pie for his birthday more then he does cake

Bowie wears perfume (sometimes)

He eventually starts understanding Wayne and Raj's hockey lingo after hanging around them so much

He most definitely took Raj clothes shopping atleast once

Bowie got Raj a fidget slug and he fucking loves it and takes it everywhere

Wayne and Raj started collecting fidget toys after that

Axel keeps having this recurring dream where she cooks and eats her neighbor's cat (this started as an inside joke but I kinda see it)

She cuts her bangs herself

Chase livestreamed himself reading fanfictions about himself with Ripper and Zee (it ended with Chase curled up on the floor crying, Zee trying to comfort him, and Ripper going on a rant about why Andrew Tate isn't an alfalfa male)

Chase has been banned from multiple public places including but not limited to: Disneyland, Disneyworld, every Walmart in Canada, most Targets, about 5 McDonald's, and two malls

Chase has low empathy, while Emma has high empathy, which leads to a lot of disagreements

This mf is like the JayStation of Total Drama of course he makes 3am challenges and dark web videos (and of course has gotten canceled)

His parents most definitely said that "boys will be boys" bullshit

Zee most definitely likes the emperors new groove

Actually, he likes a lot of movies, but he sometimes forgets that he's watching them halfway through

Zee's a skater, and really well liked at the skate park he goes to

Everyone assumes he hates water because of how much he drinks soda, but he doesn't and says that soda is just "more his vibe"

Zee's absosexual and agender with all pronouns

When I tell you Emma has Chase blocked on EVERYTHING I mean EVERYTHING

She has slight anger issues (and trust issues)

Emma really likes sunsets

Ripper has dandruff and I can't explain what makes me think that I just do

He's also dyslexic because I said so

Priya's parents were friends with Sierra and were super jealous when she got on the show, which led to them falling out

Sierra actually recognized Priya for this reason, and got into contact with her after s1 ended

Sierra is basically Priya' crazy aunt

Priya ran away after s2 because she didn't want to face her parents after losing, and she moves in with either Millie or Sierra

Millie makes video essays where she just infodumps

Nichelle is so cupiromantic idk why

MK has been wearing that same beanie since they were 9

Ranking Zelda stories because I am bored

Happy Easter and Trans Visibility Day! I'm bored and wanted to rank the stories of the 3D Zelda games. Spoilers of course. Ranked from favorite (top) to weakest (bottom). I also won't be including WInd Waker because I never beat it (not the game's fault, I bought HD during the Switch's lifecycle and got tired of the Wii U gamepad). A lot of my problems are just personal gripes and not really criticisms.

Tears of the Kingdom: Controversial placement, I know (I have been literally harassed SEVERAL times over this take, I am disappointed in humanity). It has its issues, but like, what thing DOESN'T have flaws? Everything is flawed, it came free with your entertainment. The plot beats for Tears of the Kingdom are absolutely insane. The Imprisoning War and the events leading up to it all felt connected and relevant to each other and the events in the present. Not to mention watching stuff like the Molduga memory and the Imprisoning War itself was extremely hype. Seeing the interactions between Sonia, Rauru, Zelda and Mineru got me really attached to these characters. The events in the present also feel meaningful and urgent. Your friends from the previous game are ACTUALLY in trouble in this game and not just being stalked by a giant robot that's doing nothing. The Sages also felt more connected than the Champions ever did. The camera not being locked behind a backtracking quest this time was cool too. Overall, this game's story hit the hardest, especially with the Dragon Tears quest.

Skyward Sword: Great story with a great cast. Backtracking is a bit of a pain and could have been handled better, but I love the events of the game. Groose's character development is truly excellent. Link and Zelda having a connection also assisted in making the adventure hitting harder.

Twilight Princess: As a former Twilight Princess hater, I would like to apologize to this game. I had a biased hatred against the game because I thought it was just TP fans that were toxic when in reality its just the Zelda fanbase as a whole that has a massive toxicity problem (not all Zelda fans are toxic). The whole beginning segment with Ordon Village and the Twili Realm sets up Link's quest perfectly. The story as a whole is really great until Ganondorf. Ganondorf in this game is genuinely really weak as a character, same with Zelda. They at least have the manga to help them but still...

Majora's Mask: I love the concept for this game's story and for the most part its really well done. Its just short and a lot of the interesting stuff is in the side quests. This is totally fine because it helps get me invested in the world, but most side quests are just... meh. Anju/Kafei, the grandma stories and the Romani Ranch quest lines (including the Ranch Race with the Gorman Brothers) are really great though.

Breath of the Wild: Man... This game's backstory is SO, SO, SO GOOD. Like wow is it good. I just HATE how its told. Stuff that would be cool to see is NEVER shown. Like why not show us Zelda and Link vs Calamity Ganon? Not to mention the Camera backtracking quest... I will say, at least it made the Champion's Tunic plot relevant. TotK should've made the Leathers important. Also the Divine Beast quests just don't sit right with me (outside of the Gerudo one, that one was really great). The Divine Beast fights are incredible though, they make up for the atrocious dungeon bosses.

Ocarina of Time: Too boring and unoriginal for me. Yes, TotK takes a lot from BotW's style of story, but it at least builds upon it and has unique aspects like Crisis at Hyrule Castle and Mineru's entire questline. I do like how Ganondorf mocks Link, especially in the Forest Temple, as it makes him more relevant. Ganondorf waiting until Zelda gave Link the Light Arrows just was incompetent though.

Alright, that's my ranking of each 3D Zelda story I have an opinion on. I very much expect disagreement (especially with TotK) and that's fine, just please do not attack me over this stuff. Its just opinions. I've been harassed way too much over my takes on TotK, its tiring.

What else do you do when your husband is at work? Buy one of those latex mermaid tails off amazon. It was the perfect plan.

As soon as Chris left for the company with his goodbye kiss, I perched myself onto the couch, laptop in tow. I remember seeing someone on Tiktok getting one and having a blast, so why couldn’t I?

Scrolling through the site none of the tails had caught my eye, until I saw a lovely royal blue mermaid tail jumping out at me. The ends of the tail itself detailed intricately, five star reviews all around with people even saying they had bought more in different colours. My eyes widening when it said it would be delivered tomorrow, a smile deepening itself onto my face.

The rest of the day had passed slowly, with me counting down the minutes until Chris was home from work. Yeah he made it a thing to text me at least once every hour to check on me, but it wasn’t the same. My man in my eyes was absolutely perfect down to a T, hell even the way he got angry could make me hot and bothered.

“Bunny? Where are ya? i’m home!” I heard a voice call out from the front door interrupting my train of thought, feeling like a puppy as I ran to greet him. His arms engulfing me into a hug, his sweaty cologne scent filling my nose as he kissed my head gently, his arms swaying us from side to side.

“I missed ya today” He whispered squeezing me even tighter, backing us up further into the house until we reached the staircase a few metres away.

“You said that yesterday” I laughed pulling away, his tired eyes smiling down at me, his hands caressing the apples of my cheeks tenderly.

“Cus I miss ya everyday bunny” Bending down he pressed his lips to both of my cheeks, a pout on my lips when he pulled away

“Oh my how could I forget” He jokingly said watching me furrow my brows in frustration, his lips crashing down onto mine. His lips opening mine skilfully, his tongue sliding in with mine.

“Are you hungry? There’s spaghetti in the microwave for you” My fingers played with the chain around his neck waiting for his answers,

“Nah it’s okay baby, i’d rather jus' stay in bed with you tonight. After I shower of course”

“Yeah cause you stink Chrissy, no offence” I said dramatically walking up the stairs warily knowing he was going to start chasing me, and within seconds we had started a sprint towards our bedroom, with me catapulting myself into our bed and under the blankets.

“Oh yeah keep hidin, after I shower you’re so gettin it bun” He said as I heard him gathering his stuff from drawers, the sound of the bathroom door closing echoing through the room. Turning onto my side I looked at the clock to see it had just turned 8PM yet I felt so tired out for some reason. Taking Chris' spare pillow, I hugged onto it and felt the heaviness weigh down on my eyes.

(Time Skip)

(Y/n's P.O.V)

I felt a soft hand run up and down my stomach rhythmically, my body feeling all warm and cozy thanks to Chris. Slowly looking around to him, I saw him smile at me smugly, leaning in to kiss my lips. “You alright?” I asked

“Better than alright, now go ahead n’ sleep baby. I’ll be here when you wake up”

Nodding my head half asleep, I turned back around my cuddled back into his pillow, feeling Chris spoon me from behind.

(The Next Morning)

Getting up bright and early at 7AM, was a surprise, especially for me. I hd decided to let Chris sleep in knowing how tired he was from work yesterday, excitement creeping up my bones when I remembered that my mermaid tail was arriving today.

Hearing the doorbell ring sharply at 8am was my calling, signing for it, and bringing it into the living room I quickly opened the gigantic cardboard box it had come in. Dodger wagging his tail beside me as he also anticipated it, or maybe he remembered that I said we would go in the pool today?

Dragging it out I saw the full size of the tail, it’s weight and make showing extremely good quality, no wonder it got hundreds of good reviews. Unable to hold myself any longer I got into bikini underwear, walking outside with my new tail and matching shell bra. Putting on the blue bra first, I sat down and carefully tugged on the tail before securing it around my waist.

Dodger not wasting any time in getting into the pool and splashing about.

“Okay Dodge here I go buddy” I said dropping myself into the pool, the tail weighing me down but not in a bad way. Pulling myself to the edge of the pool, I decided to try and swim to the other side and see how it goes. So on a count of three I was off, flipping the tail as I manoeuvred myself across the pool with ease, sure it tired the hell out of my core and legs but it was a sacrifice I was willing to make. Again and again I swam lengths with the tail, only stopping when I heard Chris calling out for me from the glass doors of our house.

“Babe what’re ya doin in the pool this early?” He asked with a bright smile on his face, with nothing but a pair of swim shorts on, his bed hair still rocking his head.

He walked over and bent down to the edge of the pool, caught in surprise when I leant up and kissed him cheekily. His hand coming up to rub my head softly.

“Chris look, you gotta see this” I squealed throwing myself backwards to show off my newly acquired taste for scales, his face dropping in shock as be watched me swim back over to him.

“Wh- When- Ya know what never-mind, I love it baby. Got me my own siren huh?”

“Mhm, gonna sing to seduce you n everything”

“Oh baby you know I love you, but you know you can’t sing” He joked coming into the pool beside me,

“Plus if you wanna seduce me, all ya gotta do is this” He said with his hand reaching up to my face and pulling my pouting lips up into a smile, “oh and this” He joked, his hand coming up behind me to unclip my bra and steal it from me.

“You’re so annoying”

ok so what if all of them are attending/watching a sporting event and yuta and dd!reader suddenly appeared on the 'kiss cam' 😭 i feel like gojo would tease yuta until the end of the game 😭

Besties, you guys always come through with the best ideas.

I can imagine it - Gojo had managed to pull some strings and invite them to a baseball game. The students were excited, since it would be the first time they get to go to a full stadium to experience something as normal as watching a baseball game. Having no idea that Gojo, since he was already pulling some strings, decided to add a little..spice, shall we say, to the entire event.

Let's say that the 'kiss cam' thing was a new thing that had been introduced to Japan - a huge American businessman, having bought over a stadium and turned it into a baseball stadium, decided to bring in this concept to the country. And it became a huge hit. So because it was all over social media, and Yuta and Yuji's favourite baseball team was going to play there, Gojo thought it will be a great idea.

Y/N was excited as well; she follows KPop and has seen her favourite idols taking cute pictures at huge stadiums, and she wanted to take some of those pictures too. So she dressed extra cute, and made sure that her makeup was extra nice; and thankfully, the weather was nice enough where she can go around without sweating her makeup off.

At first it was smooth sailing; they got to their seats that has a perfect view of the entire court, they had bought the typical snacks and were in general enjoying the game. Of course, Yuta and Yuji were enjoying it the most, and it was because of both their enthusiasm that it had everyone else slowly invested as well.

Half time came around, and Gojo was giggling at his phone for the last 20 minutes as he happily typed away. Assuming that he was flirting with someone the students went on ignoring him while they ate food and talked with one another. Yuta and Y/N had returned after Y/N had dragged him around to take pictures of her, and had just settled back down in their seats when the kiss cam segment started.

At first, it just went to a few random couples; some friends who laughed and pushed one another away, some couples who were adorable and kissed, and some just random strangers. However, it was when Gojo pulled his phone out to record, and when the camera suddenly panned to Yuta and Y/N that the others finally caught onto why Gojo spent so much time on his phone.

But they cheered on regardless, all of them giving Yuta and Y/N suggestive looks and nudges as Yuta blushes and awkwardly shoves a laughing Inumaki away. Y/N however, was excited - waving at the camera with a breath-taking smile as she gently shakes the arm that Yuta had around her. It was Gojo who had playfully yelled at her to 'kiss your boyfriend' that she finally realised why Yuta was so embarrassed.

She had always been the more affectionate one, so she just giggles before she happily wrapped her arms around Yuta's neck; who smiles softly and decided to give in. Leaning down with his arm shifting from her shoulders to his waist before he leans over to kiss her gently. it was a cute peck that had Y/N giggling and leaning over to give him another one, and their interaction had the entire crowd roaring and cheering at the sheer cuteness of it all.

Safe to say that the two of them went viral on social media for that clip; and Gojo also has the HD recording of the entire thing and has been sharing it around like it's candy.

Yuta doesn't know if he should kill Gojo or ask for a copy of the video himself.

✨ Just some HD thoughts ✨

I’m an MG and I was thinking about how sometimes I fight against informing because I feel (emotional authority too lol) like why are people in my business??? But transparency is so helpful!! I was running late to a restaurant reservation and I called them to let them know but not after overthinking it like it’s only 10 min and they have a 15 min grace period and I was like bro you’re sitting in an Uber for the next 25 minutes who is it really hurting just call and tell them 🤣 they ended up being behind anyway and made me wait 10 min after I got there 10 min late and apologized and gave my table free champagne like 😭😭 now I already know if I just showed up late they wouldn’t have acted like this!

Then I started thinking about the fact that according to the HD stats almost HALF of the population is a Manifestor or Manifesting Generator meaning they must inform! And I just received my food delivery and the food inside was not as expected like it’s very delicious but if they had told me the serving size more clearly I wouldn’t have bought it for that price. Which got me thinking of how ultimate transparency in pricing would be so amazing like imagine you can look up a restaurant and see everything from how much they paid for supplies, their prices, the serving sizes, their profit, how much they pay their different employees, how much they pay for the location, and what the owners take home for themselves. I think that level of transparency would make things more fair and consumers wouldn’t feel scammed every now and then like you’re telling me Loaded Fry Supreme $20 is just frozen fries with velveeta and bacon bits?? (I made that up for my point lol) but if I saw all the info then I would think yeahhhhh frozen fries and velveeta is not worth $20. But if the fries were loaded with some aged gouda, half a lobster tail and one tsp of caviar it’s like okay 👀 yeah I’ll pay $20 for that!

Just something I was thinking about lol but of course this would only be possible in a “perfect world” bc to get to that level of transparency would be everyone being subjected to the most extreme level of surveillance which we know would be terrible lol a more informed consumer choice in exchange for freedom basically 😂

I recently discovered that I'm freakishly good at dodging shit, so let's go with that.

9) Where were you born?

Vietnam, in New Hanoi! It was my childhood home and 75% of it got reduced to rubble :)

Now I live in Lorelei, United States. It kinda sucks but it's also kinda cool. You can say that I have a... Love-hate relationship towards it, I guess. I had to leave, obviously, of course I had to, but it's not exactly a crime to miss it, y'know??

10) What are your hobbies?

I used to do jigsaw puzzles. I even got into a Facebook group where we borrowed puzzles from a shared collection and Kalisha would help me frame up my pieces 'round the house. We haven't done that in a while though... The last one I did was a really cool piece of various Pokémon with a stained glass window effect. Kalisha bought it for my birthday and she even helped me put it together. I don't think puzzles are really her thing though haha

11) Have you any pets?

Má got a goldfish for me once and I named him Lucky. He died the next day though, so I guess he was actually Unlucky.

12) What sports do you play/have you played?

Barrier Ball! I don't know if you've heard of it but it's a popular game in America where there are goal posts on the ground, in the middle of the air, and high up in the sky. I know that there are other sports where you can use barriers to run around in the air but this is extra fun cause there are some volleyball elements too, like our setter-like midfielder. I actually wanted to do that, but I got forward instead. It's not bad though; it's kinda fun to 'disappear' and come out of nowhere with a shot. Like a sniper :)

Freaks out the opposing team every time haha

13) How tall are you?

5'5... I can't believe I think in feet and inches now; what have I become???

14) Favourite subject in school?

Math, I guess. Once you get into the rhythm, your brain kinda just switches off. It's actually really relaxing.

15) Dream job?

Uhhhhh I don't know. Does anyone really know what they wanna do at this age?

Besides Má, I guess, but that's cause she's crazy over ethreasts. Not everyone has such an obvious passion though, and especially not me :/

Hii!! Thanks for the ask!! Sorry, a bit late because I was writing and trying to figure out just how to answer question 1. bc I'm so indecisive.

1.) Song of the year?

I think my general pick would be "OK by Jeremy Zucker" because this year for me was rough in the beginning. On the day that EP dropped I remember unironically I was listening to that song exactly as some bullshit was going on. It was playing on full blast, and I think that generally was a sign that what was happening was for the best. I had it on loop for a good chunk of time after that, and it's just stuck with me.

(It also made it onto my spotify wrapped but it didn't show in the top 5.)

8.) Game of the year?

I still need to get my ps4 working again, but my game of the year is probably TLoZ Skyward Sword (on wii) (I was playing through BoTW for the first time even though I AM SO late. I bought a Wii U copy and oh I had a Zelda hyperfixation for a bit there.) Skyward Sword was so cool, and I absolutely loved it. I really want to play windwaker but dumb dumb Nintendo wont port the Wii U HD ports over even though they've literally ported a lot of other Wii U titles. No way I'm paying an arm and a leg for it but zelda is goated frfr.

Also, I'm currently playing through Darkwatch on the original Xbox. Pretty alright if you let some of the graphical weirdness slide.

I'd like to get a ps5 soon so I can play through spider-man 2 because I'm so normal about the insomniac games.

Over Budget - ML Secret Santa fic

It was Alya who had brought up the idea for the secret santa, at the start of December. Adrien had been almost overly excited at the idea of it, and was the first to snag a name from the hat she produced. When they all chose a name, and after a quick check to make sure nobody had grabbed their own name, Nino went over the rules.

They had two weeks to get a gift for their secret santa. It could be anything they wanted, as long as they thought their person would like it.

And perhaps most importantly, the budget was 10 Euros.

In hindsight, Adrien should have probably paid more attention to that rule.

In the limo home, Adrien stared down at the name in his hand.

His brain buzzed with ideas for the next week, but it wasn’t until he had gotten Nathalie and the Gorilla to let him tag along to a high end design workshop/shop that he spotted the perfect gift.

A newly released Singer sewing machine sat gleaming on display. He had bought it immediately, obviously. She had said she wanted to replace her current one after all, and he knew she liked this model since he’d spotted her gushing over it to Alya!

Smiling like a cat that got the canary all the way home, he tucked the gift receipt the clerk had given him into the box and spent thirty minutes trying to wrap it perfectly. The wrapped box stood pride of place on his desk, her name taped to the top. He shot a grin in Plagg’s direction, only to stop short at the sight of the kwami’s flat stare.

“What? I got the gift in time, and you know Marinette will love this!”

Plagg’s stare got almost impossibly flatter.

“Kid. You had a budget.”

Budget?

Oh.

Two nights later, Chat Noir broached the topic with Ladybug.

“... So, Ladybug, as the resident more normal person here -”

“Oh no” Ladybug mumbled from her seat on the railing, her face one of horrified anticipation.

Rude, really, but fair. He had given her that title after what he thought was a fairly standard conversation about his work and extra classes, identity-revealing details being left out of course, ended with her shaking him by the shoulder rapidly as she tried to explain that it was not normal for a teenager their age to have that much stuff on their plate.

“ - if you were, hypothetically, doing a secret santa exchange with your friends, how much over budget is still like a cool, chill amount?”

“Oh no..” Ladybug stood and crossed the short distance between them, grabbing him by the shoulders once again.

“What was the budget?”

He gave her a guilty grin before turning away.

“10 Euros…”

“And what did you buy?”

“....”

“Chat.”

“... A sewing machine..”

“CHAT” Ladybug near screeched, staring at him like he’d lost his mind.

Hiding his face in her shoulder, his own relaxed slightly when one of her hands came up to rest on his hair.

“She just mentioned she really wanted it” He mumbled,

“Only you, Chat” Ladybug smiled, shaking her head lightly

“She’s gonna think I’m so weird..”

“Yeah,” Ladybug agreed, “Sure is.”

Four days later, Nino, Adrien, Alya and Marinette all sat in a circle in Marinette’s room, gifts in hand. Each gift had been left with Marinette’s parents, so nobody knew yet who had gotten who.

Nino went first, in awe over the new fingerless gloves and signed Jagged Stone CD Marinette had gotten him. Alya went second, squealing at the personalised phone case and CD Nino had gotten her. Adrien went next, grinning at the HD Ladybug poster and compilation video that Alya had gotten him.

Feeling only slightly more confident, after all each and every one of his friends had gone a little over budget, he watched in anticipation with Nino as Alya leaned right in to watch Marinette open Adrien’s gift.

As the box opened, and Alya and Marinette’s excited smiles gave way to open-mouthed shock, Adrien’s own smile got more and more nervous. As Marinette lifted the sewing machine from the box, Nino matched their expressions, and as one, they all turned to stare at him.

Silence reigned for a moment, until Nino suddenly regained the ability to speak.

“Adrien!”

As he stammered, Nino and Alya’s voices overlapped as Marinette’s gaze dropped back to the sewing machine, something uncertain in her eyes.

“What kind of-” Alya’s gaze bounced between the gift and Adrien

“Did homeschool not teach you to count to ten??” Nino had a hand on his shoulder, and the other on his own head, knocking askew the santa hat he’d shoved onto his everpresent cap.

Alya mumbled something about wanting to get Adrien next year before returning to her interrogation.

“That thing is like a thousand euros!”

“I knew she wanted it, though!”, Adrien defended, ignoring Nino’s exasperated Dude as he shook his head, “It’s a little over, but-”

“A LITTLE?” Alya dropped her face into her hands.

“Dude, this is more romantic than-”

“It’s NOT -”

“It is” Alya mumbled, face still buried in her hands.

Ignoring his other two friends, Adrien leaned forward towards Marinette, clutching his hands in his lap.

She hadn’t said a word.

“Do you like it, Marinette?” He asked, suddenly nervous for her answer.

What if she hated it?

Her eyes shut, and the expression on her face was so oddly familiar it was enough to ease his nerves. Only for them to ramp all the way up at her response.

“.. Only you, Chat.”

“What”

I can imagine Hisu being such a little shit in the sizequeen au, finding it hilarious that 2 of her friends so clearly have a thing for each other and trying to get reactions out of them by teasing/provoking how attracted to each other they are.

Like she'll be hanging out with Eren one day and is like "So me and the girls went to the beach the other day. Mikasa was there as well. You should've seen her! She was wearing this cute new bikini Sasha bought her but I think it might've been a size too small for her, her boobs were practically spilling out of it." All while Eren is trying to act uninterested just hmming and nodding as he mindlessly scrolls through his phone for a distraction. Historia knows this so she makes sure to throw in that "So many guys were oggling Mika at the beach, and some even tried flirting with her, she might've even gotten one of their numbers". Eren keeps up the facade but she can tell that he's clenching his jaw and gripping his phone in frustration.

She then tells him that she took some pictures while they were there and whether Eren would want to see any of them, to which he finally looks at her and tries to act as nonchalant as possible while also pushing Historia to show him. She loves seeing him so desperate and in the end tells him in exchange for her sending him the pictures he either has to pay her upfront or buy her all her drinks the next time they go out drinking together. To which Eren agrees to immediately because he just really needs to see those pictures of Mikasa, for entirely personal reasons ofc.

And the next time she's with Mikasa she'll be like "So I was at a house party with Eren the other day and these 2 girls were all over him. They were being so obvious, twirling their hair, laughing at everything he says, running their hands up his arms. They were both practically sat on his lap by the end of the night. I caught one rubbing his crotch through his sweatpants, and I'll just say she seemed very impressed by what she felt if you know what I mean. Eren later picked up that same girl with one arm as if she weighed nothing and took her upstairs to one the spare bedrooms. Let's just say you could hear the bangs and screams even over the music blasting downstairs. Poor girl, if you ask me I doubt she was capable of handling a guy like Eren. She was a similar height to me, barely over 5ft so I don't think she was built to handle a guy as blessed as Eren in a certain department.".

Historia saying all this to Mikasa with a knowing look on her face while Mika is blushing and squirming in her chair a little bit, digging her nails into her thighs. Covering up her flushed feelings by instead acting outraged "Well I generally don't like girls like them, who just throws themselves at guys at parties just because they find them a bit hot. And the same goes for Eren, I expected better of him but he seems like a sleazy guy who'll just fuck any short thing in a tight dress. I have no intention of getting familiar with a guy who sleeps around like that." All while Historia's just like righhttttttt because whenever Eren comes up in conversation Mikasa's breath hitches and she gets a lil flustered regardless of the context, she's so obvious and oblivious about it but in a cute way.

tbh i feel like HIsu is a little shit in every AU I put her in, she's jsut there being so sweetly chaotic no matter what she's doing lol!! but in size queen AU 100% more so ! I can totally see her doing this especially once she realizes that they like each other lol. Like rn, she doesn't know yet, but she realizes pretty quick Eren has a thing for her new bestie! But as soon as she finds out BOTH of them like each other, cue chaos! her bringing Mikasa back to Eren's place after spin classes so he's forced to see her in her tight little biker shorts, see her ass in HD, forgetting to meet both of them for lunch lol so they're forced to just hangout together, and of course jealousy! she's such a devild child.

Top 5 Zelda games

This is a real challenge. Because I adore the Zelda franchise, it's one of my favorite gaming franchises of all time. Hopefully I won't get flames!

A Link Between Worlds ~ Although I've already talked about this game in a previous ask, this may still be my favorite Zelda game to date, even though I haven't touched my 3DS in sometime. I adore the story, artstyle, and gimmick. It's set in the same Hyrule as ALttP with similar dungeons. The characters are remarkable. Truly a gem! Maybe it will be dethroned one day. One of my gripes with the game is not earning an important item in dungeons.

Tears of the Kingdom ~ Over 140 hours in, and I still haven't beaten it. I've been savoring every moment I play. I get easily distracted by places, enemies, characters. The caves are awesome. I haven't built a mecha yet (doubt I ever will), but simple Zonai tech will have to do for now!

Link's Awakening ~ Nostalgia time! Fun fact, this was my first ever Zelda game that I ever owned. While my brother played OoT on the N64, I bought myself a Game Boy Color for my birthday one year with Pokemon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition and Link's Awakening DX. Fell in love with LA DX instantly. I managed to conquer two full dungeons on my own before finally putting it down and leaving it to rot. And then of course I finally beat it years and years later when Link's Awakening HD remake came out for Switch! I really hope we get Oracle games in the future to follow-up. (only played both once in my life) It's such a sweet little game!

A Link to the Past ~ Hopefully I'm not cheating, but... I first played ALttP on the GBA. I ADORED it, despite not getting very far. (I hated how they reused Link's cries from OoT/MM...) I've tried it a couple of times on Switch Online, but gave up twice. Third time's the charm! I restarted it again earlier this year before TotK came out. I've gotten... maybe at least five to six dungeons down, tops? The manga adaptation is probably my favorite out of any of the Zelda stories. I love the Link and Zelda of this universe. They're terribly sweet together.

Ocarina of Time ~ Would you believe that once upon a time that Majora's Mask was my favorite game in the series? I love it, but the three-day cycle really takes a toll on me. I finally gave up on the Water Temple in the 3DS version. I don't even know if my brother beat it back in the day. But, we did beat OoT together. I think it's purely out of nostalgia for this game. I hope it gets delisted when/if I play WW HD/TP HD in the future.

I have played Minish Cap, BotW (around 200 hours) both Oracle games (once in my life), TLoZ, Zelda II, and Skyward Sword HD.

What I haven't played are Wind Waker, its sequels, Twilight Princess... I would love love LOOOVE to play those games if they come to Switch/Switch's successor. They both look like they have their own charms, characters, stories and love for adventure!

I was scrolling down the PS Online Store to buy a new game because my hands are kinda itching to play something.

And i end up seeing the Pre-Order for Crisis Core- FFVII-Reunion.

And i am like.

Sonic the Hedgehog

As I begin my transition to the final stage of grief as a Sonic fan (for the third time) I ruminate on my history in relation to this spiny blue turd

I was born just before there was any potential for “& Knuckles” to become a future meme. On the relative eve of changeover from SNES to PlayStation. I am, thus, one of the final artifacts of a world where Sonic was good, and accelerated 3D games but a pipe dream. May everyone know such innocent times in their future the way US kids did from 1994 to 2001, but I digress.

Sonic Is Eternal, as far as my world begins, and likely as it ends, too. His successes and failures, and by extension SEGAs, are critical points of change in my personal life, whether I like it or not.

But our fraught relationship began inauspiciously. Certainly I played a fair bit of Genesis when I was little, but also Super NIntendo, and PS1, and most especially N64. SEGA, for a time, was a mild fraction of my first experiences with games, and Sonic a fraction of that. His games were just Too Hard for a clueless girl who didn’t know she was a girl, and was terrified of even the thought of a game over screen in Super Mario World.

Literally I spent half my time in those halcyon days watching Mario fall asleep, rather than actually playing Mario 64. I am a certified Gamer Girl now, but I amproof that Gamers are not born, they’re spec’d.

But I guess I thought he was cool and wanted more. Because on my birthday in 2002, I received a tiny little interactive video software minidisc that, idk, you may have heard of, maybe not, don’t blame you either way.

This was my everything. This was video games. This is the flashpoint for all I ever was, and all I ever will be. You can blame me being me on this, unfailingly, forever.

Him especially.

After literal months of playing all 31 levels, rocking out to some sweet music, and (poorly) raising Chao, it was far too late. You cannot save me, there is no hope left.

I am... a Sonic fan.

I’m sorry.

In grade school I teamed up with a couple kids and started drawing Sonic comics. Dozens of them. Infested with one-off OCs with vomit designs and no character. Almost none of these were ever finished and nobody but us really read them, but that didn’t matter. We played and talked about every single game, we watched Sonic X, we read the official comics, I think we might have literally mailed a letter to Sonic Team begging to put our OCs in the series -- with no reference images included, of course; it was just a list of names.

And girl, you KNOW we were hyped for next-generation HD Sonic on XBox 360. You KNOW it.

We disconnected in middle school and haven’t really made any efforts since, so I have no clue what their experiences were with that game. But mine was:

My family dropped several income brackets in the housing market crash and recession of 2007, so I had to make do with what I had for many years. Sonic 06 was the furthest thing from my mind until I started watching Game Grumps in 2012.

Turns out the game was bad. Bullet dodged, amirite?

I bought that game used and had to see for myself. After all, Arin can’t video game, it may well be actually good?

This jarring sequence of events was a window into a popular understanding that Sonic Was Never Good. One with a long list of evidence and receipts that only grew longer with every passing year. Oh Generations is fun, huh? Have you played it on 3DS? You think Lost World on Wii U is frustrating? Welcome back to handheld hell, dumbass!

And frankly, it doesn’t even matter what is said about Sonic Boom. It doesn’t matter that the cartoon was entertaining, it doesn’t matter that Fire and Ice was a perfectly fine experience, and it doesn’t matter how Big Red Button got screwed over at the eleventh hour. Rise of Lyric and Shattered Crystal are the death knell of the entire franchise, ringing out into the void with every Sonic fan desperately covering their ears as the blue hedgehog rots on the noose before our eyes.

B-but I still had hope!! SEGA turned it around once, they can do it again! Right? .......Right???

At some point between the release of those two horror shows and the release of Sonic Mania, I went back and I played Sonic Adventure DX. A game I remembered relatively fondly, despite all the haters.

And

Yeah

Sonic was never good.

And think about the position I’m in, sick to my stomach of nostalgia in general, when Sonic Mania hits, I buy it frame 1, only to discover that the level design has not evolved past 1994 when it really should have, and the entire game is festooned with these surface-level vapid callbacks that don’t add anything to the play experience.

Imagine my defeated sigh when Sonic Forces comes out and it’s the biggest vanilla wafer of nothing ever devised.

No surprise.

No anger.

Nothing.

Think about the last five years of subsequent, relative radio silence from a series that used to -- at the very least -- not let its blunders last long before they had a new one. The conversation at large hasn’t had anything new to evolve from, it has only descended further and further into a tightening downward spiral of self-loathing and resentment. Only hiccuped by the revelation of

Consider how one gross weirdo who Archie Comics employed for a while changed the entire global brand identity of the franchise because SEGA can’t write legal documents to save their life.

Perhaps you may begin to understand a small part of where I’ve been at mentally for ten years. As much as I may want to be excited, engaged, or even interested in Sonic Frontiers, it isn’t even on my radar. As much as I want to believe IDW Sonic is a good comic series, I can’t bring myself to read it. As much as I want to be having fun with and being part of the fan community, where will we be when the next complete fucking disaster of a game comes out? Some of y’all are barely holding on as it is.

This hedgehog is a wreck, and for all their success beyond him, so is his parent company.

But hey. I am too.

Maybe this is the turnaround for Sonic, and we’re too battered to see it in the moment. Sonic Movie 2 was apparently pretty entertaining. Sonic Oranges is out, and apart from some weird nerds who care way too much about some mid Michael Jackson cuts, nobody seems to be complaining. I’m also well aware that I’m the odd one out for Mania (and, tangentially, Freedom Planet), and we’re kinda just ignoring that one of the ascended fangame devs is an alt-right shitheel because so much of the stuff you see in the Sonic Amateur Games Expo and Sonic Hacking Contest just. Gets it. And has a high standard of quality, to boot.

Maybe this is just me saying “he wouldn’t hit me again, he loves me”. But that’s a problematic analogy, and not a very good one, at that. Sonic isn’t real, insofar as he has corporeal form as the creature with abilities the series purports him to be and have, and therefore not only can he not hurt me, he doesn’t even know I exist. Neither do any of the developers, or any of the suits in SEGA’s corporate office. This is a parasocial relationship in the extreme.

Maybe SEGA will call me back one of these days and say “Yes! Transgender Tails and Omelette’s West Side Island Adventure is kino AF, big dogecoin material!” I think that one is especially likely, IMO.

I dunno.

Through it all, I have regularly returned to Sonic Adventure 2. The swan song of an all-too-short console lifespan stacked with banger games, and no slouch itself. Only a couple friction points really grate on me with it, nowadays, and that’s saying a lot compared to most people who’ve played it.

It may not be one of my favorite games ever. It may not even be one of my preferred games in the series. But it still has that something, that ephemeral energy at the intersection of SEGA hyperpop and cringe but free cool kids. So does Sonic Heroes, Sonic Riders, Sonic Advance 2, Shadow the Hedgehog, and Shadow the Hedgehog.

Especially Shadow the Hedgehog.

That energy speaks to me on a primal level. And the canvas that is this franchise still makes it remarkably easy to imagine a form that is expansive, and caters to weirdos like me, even when I don’t actually want to.

Shit, look at this blog post. It is filled with post-ironic memery on a level impossible to achieve if people didn’t care about something. We don’t just care about Sonic the Hedgehog because we’re damaged arrested-development losers. We are, but that’s beside the point.

That Sonic still gains and holds new fans even after Sonic 06, even after Rise of Lyric, I think that says something. Most of Mario’s would-be competitors died off, both in 2D and 3D, after one bad game.

Not this mouthy asshole. Millions of years of evolution pass by, meteors crash into the earth, ice ages freeze the entire planet, and just like crocodiles, Sonic endures.

And perhaps it’s because Sonic is just. Good. Turns out we’ve been freaking out over a couple bad games and overblowing their importance. Could the series be more consistent? Frankly at this point, I don’t care. The weird diversity of everything about the hedgehog should be something we embrace, I think.

Alongside a perhaps tempered hope that we’ll get a fun game after all this waiting.

That’s probably what the true final stage of the Sonic Cycle is. Accepting that we have a taste inscrutable to all the people who are just bad at games, and not giving a rat’s ass what IGN or whoever has to say. Ascending above all the bullshit, understanding that we all, for better or worse, love Sonic the Hedgehog.

That we are all Sonicman.

As we await the Avatar 2 trailer, I'll tell you the story of how I bootlegged the original Avatar trailer, which went viral and briefly turned the tide - causing the first real flurry of HYPE for a movie that was facing a ton of negativity. Avatar (2009)

If you weren't on the internet when the first Avatar teaser trailer hit the web in HD (August 20, 2009), you may not know that people were freaking out with hate over the "fake-looking cat-elves". There was a huge amount of negativity, and this weird debate about whether or not the CGI was "photoreal" or not. It was really grim. This basically coincided with the Avatar Day preview, which revealed a few scenes (including Jake selecting his Ikran) and it looked absolutely incredible. But very few people actually attended the event; this was partially because they didn't allow over-booking, and lots of people reserved more seats than they could use (I'm guilty of this), so the theaters ended up being mostly empty - yet another downer for public perception of the movie.

Avatar's first full-length trailer was slated to be released in theaters on October 23, 2009 - a week before it would hit the web. It was supposed to run before Saw VI, of all things. I knew people would be curious to see that trailer (even just to ridicule it!) but I didn't anticipate many people being quite eager enough to head to the theater just to see it. With this knowledge in mind, I bought a ticket to the Thursday-midnight premier (remember those?) of Saw VI. I brought my Kodak digital camera, which I had strategically covered with tape so its lights wouldn't be obvious in the dark of the theater. I waited a few minutes in anticipation and… I bootlegged that Avatar trailer.

Exhilarated by both the trailer itself and the minor thrill of doing something forbidden, I left the theater before Saw VI even started. I hurried back to a computer and put the cam-quality footage online. I uploaded it to YouTube, and immediately provided a link to the source file on the IMDb forums so YouTube's inevitable copyright pull wouldn't stop the spread, and sat back to see what what would happen next.

People LOVED it. They could drink in the crazy fantasy world and promise of an epic adventure without getting hung up on the look of the CGI characters that - even I can admit - sometimes come across as cheap and fake in proper HD (especially in 2D). This article offers one reaction to the bootleg, and this is truly representative of the web reaction at large. For Avatar, it was the first time anything resembling widespread hype was being generated. I feel weirdly proud of my part in this! Even though Fox didn't want that trailer to be out there that way (they did cause my YouTube upload to be removed), I feel like it was really for the best in terms of swaying public perception.

A week later, that same trailer officially hit the web in HD… and the hate commenced again. The apex was probably the South Park episode, which actually came out before the movie did. The negativity continued 'til the movie came out… and people were wowed by the 3D and immersion enough to overlook the uncanny valley issues. It's easy to forget how much shit this movie got for the visuals before it came out. Of course, once it came out, the story changed to "well, all it has is cool visuals - the story is terrible!", which is sort of amusing. There was also a second batch of negativity once people started watching it at home (most likely on a laptop after downloading a torrent). I think these people heard about the movie becoming the biggest of all time, then decided to check it out in the worst format possible (on a tiny, 2D screen). Of course they won't be impressed!

All this said, it has been extremely interesting to see how things are playing out this time around. Even with Avatar as the biggest movie of all time, it still feels like the sequel is fighting an uphill battle. I think A2 has the potential to top the first one (in every way possible), but even in the unlikely event that it's a dud, I'm still excited because the original will likely return to 3D IMAX - something I've been missing since its original run.
