ps: look how cute Angel is when he sleeps!!!!!
/ Previous parts
Tumblr media
The next hour and a half went by in a blur. You and Angel sat on the sofa as he proceeded to explain to you everything about what he did with the club: the drugs, the tunnels, his past, his mom. Multiple glasses of water later, there was a thick silence in the room, your arms were crossed over your chest as you stared everywhere but him, and he sat there defeated, because he knew what was coming: heartbreak.
He was the first to break the silence, “I opened up myself to you, please say something”. His voice was desperate and your heart ached. “I don’t know what to say. This is… a lot”, you had tears in your eyes, and he might not be a genius like EZ, but he could see how uncomfortable he had made you. And he hated himself for it. He nodded in understanding, and you spoke again, your voice wavering. “I just… I hope you can understand this isn’t easy for me”, rejection was coming Angels’ way, he was sure of it, so he did what he did best: building his walls back and acting as if he wasn’t breaking inside.
“It wasn’t easy for me to tell you all of that shit, either”, his voice got rougher and you looked at him, a frown on your face as your tone got firmer, too. “Well, I’m sorry I’m not used to all of this drug bullshit. – you looked at him, and while the strong façade you had put on started to crumble, Angel’s eyes stayed hard, staring into yours – I’m sorry I’m not from your world, I’m sorry I can’t understand what you’re going through. I can try, for you, but now I just need to come to terms with everything you told me. This may be just another day to you, but not for me. All I’m asking is some time”, you finished your rant with a sob, and his gaze softened at seeing you like that, he wanted to hug you so bad, but he was playing the role of the big bad biker and couldn’t get out of character now. El Pardino’s words echoed in his mind, “If she doesn’t accept it, you just let her go”. He was too afraid of losing you, and he thought that acting like this would make it hurt less. “Call me when you wanna talk”, he got up, making his way to the door and getting out of your house, not looking back.
You remained on the couch, the same couch you and Angel had spent so much time making out and cuddling on, it had become a place for sadness. You cried, and doubted your feelings towards him: was this a sign that it was best to break up with him? Could you take what came with this life? Would this happen again? That night, you couldn’t sleep. Every time you closed your eyes, your saw the pictures again, and every time it was hard to breath. Angel rode home, entering his apartment as if he was in a daze, he walked straight to the cupboard ad grabbed a bottle of tequila, drowning his feelings in alcohol and weed. He drank to escape his reality, to pretend that everything was fine, just for one night.
/
Angel arrived at the yard late, but when he did show up, everyone could see he looked like shit. He didn’t say a word to anyone and walked straight to the bar, asking Chucky for a bottle of water and some painkillers for his terrible headache. He kept quiet for most of the morning, and then lunchbreak came, so he sat at a random table and began eating. “Ain’t your girl coming around, today? – Coco spoke, plopping down next to his best friend – you could use some tlc to get that fucking shitty mood off yourself”. Angel winced at the mention of you, and Coco looked at him, his brows furrowed. “Nah, I’m good”, Angel replied and continued to eat; his friend kept quiet but looked at EZ, who just shook his head, signaling he also didn’t know what was going on.
In the afternoon, after work, EZ (poor guy, always babysitting and taking care of the others) had to snatch away his brother’s third beer, telling him to go home and get his shit together. That had made Angel scowl at him. “Mind your fucking business, prospect”, he spat the last word like it was an insult. Everyone was silent, not daring to challenge him if he was in a bad mood. Angel didn’t say anything else as he grabbed his stuff and stormed out the clubhouse, Coco going after him. “Hey, hermano, where ya going?”. “Home”. “Talk to me, c’mon”, Coco grabbed his arm and Angel yanked it away harshly, turning towards the other man and looking at him with angry eyes. “I told her everything and she said some shit about needing her space”, Angel huffed out and put his helmet on. “Everything?”. “Everything, Coco. And now I am alone again. I’d appreciate all of you not pouring salt into the wound and just letting me be”. He started his bike and sped off the parking lot, leaving a stunned Coco standing there. When he went back inside and relayed the information to his brothers, they all felt sorry for him and agreed that it would be best to leave him some time to cool off. Nonetheless, the old Angel was, seemingly, back.
/
You, on your end, weren’t doing much better. You had cried yourself to sleep on the couch, woke up late and had to rush to work. All day, you couldn’t think about anything other than the man that had been in your life for the past months. Luck didn’t seem to be on your side: as soon as the bell rang, marking the start of lunch time, you smelled a familiar cologne, and you turned just in time to see Miguel Galindo approaching you; he was wearing an almond-coloured suit with the usual white shirt underneath, perfectly complementing his skin. He invited you to have lunch with him at the same café you had been to a couple of weeks prior, and you figured you could use some distraction.
Miguel had done his homework: he had Nestor find out what he could about you, where you were from, what schools you attended, how you got to Santo Padre. Knowing all these things (but bringing them up in a way you wouldn’t be able to know he knew), it was easy for him to hold a conversation with you, even though he noticed how you seemed to space out from time to time.
“Is everything alright?”, he politely asked. You were brought out of your thoughts, and you softly smiled at him. “Yes, I’m sorry, I zoned out”, you apologetically smiled and shook your head. “Something’s bothering you?”, he asked, straightening up and leaning forward towards you. “Just… a rough night. Nothing that a good night of relax can’t fix”, you lied, still smiling at him and looking at the time on your phone. “I should probably get back, I have a class in 15 minutes”, you got up and gathered your things in your purse, grabbing the check, which was immediately snatched from your hand. “I’m not letting you pay, señorita. It was my pleasure to have lunch with you”, his hand brushed the small of your back, almost imperceptibly, and he said something to the waiter, who nodded and Miguel led you out of the place.
/
You were talking by the entrance of the school, just after the bell rang, when you heard the roar of a bike approaching. Instinctively, you averted your gaze from the man in front of you just in time for EZ to climb off his bike and spot you, and spot Miguel: Taza had sent him to see what was wrong with Angel.
“Hey”, he shortly greeted you with a smile, his eyes meeting Miguel’s, who was standing way too close to you for EZ’s liking. “Prospect – Miguel said, an amused smile on his face – what brings you here?”. “Family business, actually. – the prospect turned to you and smiled, completely ignoring the look on the other man’s face – got a minute?”. You nodded and turned to Miguel, “I’m sorry, I have to go”. “Don’t worry, we’ll catch up some other time”, he leaned in and kissed your cheek, a common greeting. EZ looked at the two of you with wide eyes, but as soon as he could, he dragged you over to where his bike was parked but didn’t let go of your arm. He asked you what happened with Angel and you gave him a brief explanation, you really didn’t want to think about last night, or Angel, at all at the moment, and he felt it, too, so he let you be.
“And what the hell was that? Galindo? Really?”, he crossed his arms on his chest and you did the same, not liking the implications of his tone. “It was just lunch. God forbid I relax for an hour, eh? You and club have all these girls around, ready to throw themselves at you – and don’t say it’s not true or it doesn’t matter, Ezekiel. I’ve seen the way they look at y’all, at Angel… I had a shitty night and for once someone manages to get my mind off that, and it’s a problem?”, tears were threatening to spill from your eyes, all the emotions you held inside, spilling out. He never meant to insinuate something, and the fact that you were feeling like shit, just like his brother, meant that the discussion had taken a toll on you, too. Still, it didn’t change the fact that it was Miguel Galindo who helped you take your mind off of Angel.
You sniffled and lowered your head to regain some composure, first of all, because you were in public and secondly because you knew that your outburst to EZ was uncalled for, and he didn’t deserve it. “I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to. – you said and he nodded, his gaze was full of understanding, but you still felt bad – I have to go, now. I’ll see you”, and with that, you made your way to your car and left. EZ followed your car with his eyes, and when he was sure you couldn’t see him, he got out his phone and called his brother. “Angel, you gotta get your girl back, rápido”.

[So I just got inspired by a conversation I had with @silver-wield about this Cloud&Tifa video below I blogged 2 days ago already, how deep Cloti's connection really is displayed, and how watching it made me feel even more convinced that we totally get endgame feels for them in these various scenes comprised. The video just shows canon material and uses only original dialogue. It made me wonder if the same feelings would be evoked by a video of Cloud and Aeriths Scenes and dialogues.]
Besides English isn't my first language, please overlook grammar and spelling mistakes. I'm sorry it there are too many.
There are many opinions who belongs with whom.
Many people who covered this also and I love and respect most of their analyses on it. Not even sure if I added anything new but here are my thoughts on Clerith endgame qualities (& a bit Cloti).
I like Aerith and she is very important. I just don’t see her as the intended endgame partner for Cloud.
This is all an opinion in the end:
Don't get me wrong this relationship is heavy with feelings as well. But it's no endgame. Cloud and Tifa belong; for various reasons we all discuss daily ;). Clearith's core story is heartwarming and heartbreaking all at once. For me it's a tragic relationship on both sides.
Aerith sees a familiarity in Cloud, something reminding her of, & letting her hope for better days. She sees a strong person who resembles Zack so much. He is handsome and his eyes have the same quality.
She desperately wants to belong (like all of our 3 heroes) because she was alone most of her time. Zack was her first love and a friend. But he is gone. She is heartbroken. Even though she is beloved in the slums by many and has Elmyra, she still feels alone. Zack was someone she confided in. She can't tell anyone the extend of these feelings. Not in the beginning. Always trying to cover up with that flirty cheery attitude. She wants to move on...that much she has uttered to Cloud...but saying and going through such a loss actually are two different things. In OG it was more ambiguous and Aerith was much more determined on Cloud.
Remake gives us (or me)much more clarity. She seems to be aware that it all is flawed..her feelings ..his feelings. (I suppose she even was able to feel that something happened to Zack since she has a connection to the life stream. And it is heartbreaking.) While in OG that was not prominent. You can tell how much she likes Cloud still in the Remake ...but also how much she knows she doesn't belong with him. When she sees the flower in Tifa's Bar, when she sees Cloud and Tifa interact.. when she asks Cloud about Zack indirectly.
Clerith to me is like 'could have/ would have' all the time. If she wouldn't die. If Zack was still alive.. if Cloud actually would be able to connect the dots of Zack being her first love.. if Cloud regaining a glimpse of his past wasn't blocked by the barrier of his fake persona so often, always interrupting progress of remembering Zack, of remembering what happened. Would it be Clerith?
It more seems like in the Remake she is aware now (due to parallel time lines/timetravel...whatever) that her part in this story is not that of Clouds love interest. That's why we get that resolution scene with her. It is scripted that way for a reason. As well as the part where she spots the flower or tells Tifa to follow her heart at the pillar.
Maybe there is a wish in her to be with Cloud if only the circumstances were different. But they aren't and she is no egotistical monster bitch. She kind of backs away. And I love that the devs made me lean to believe this.
Cloud on the other hand also lacks/ misses out on many things:
5 years of his live, his home his family. He lived through torture if barely and severe trauma. He put up a fake persona to shield him from all this grief. He made himself that numb, that he rarely connects to any strong feelings a person would have usually.
Like people on anti depressants. Numb to the very high and the very low array. Just being indifferent. We meet him like that in the beginning of OG/R. When he meets Aerith in chapter 8 he already started to open up a bit to the Trio and Tifa, Marle and others. Meeting Tifa opened the Door. She is essentially his drive to move on ever since their childhood, same this time. But Tifa is more subtle in her approach. Her personality is warm and grounded, but she respects that Clouds needs space and is treading lightly, cautious because she seems to feel he is different than in their childhood. We get that in the rescue Johnny scene f.ex..
Aerith's overwhelmingly positive, coaxing personality contrasts this but also opens this crack in the door even wider. Like I said she is important. He is affected, he feels drawn to it/her.I am convinced he is, because he has no association with her. No past. It is light and bright and also not real. She, trying to overcompansate her sadness. Him, rarely being able to connect to his true self and feelings. He is unaware, she is though to a certain extend (like I mentioned above ) is aware.
His attraction also is spurred on because she is more fragile (Than Tifa and others)..he wants to protect. He is loyal. He wants to be strong and he wants to be acknowledged. Aerith asks for help, is clumsy and looks even helpless sometimes( Walk from the church over the roof tops f. ex.). I don’t say she is weak but her asking for help, he feels like he really is that persona he created for himself. And such feelings can turn into love quite easily. But these feelings to be as good as a Soldier 1st class, to protect and be the hero root in his true self's desire to be all that for Tifa. We can’t discard this either. He also helps Avalanche because Tifa asked.
So again..a pinch of could have/would have..it's heartbreaking.
And in the end it's a dead end for Clerith. Not only because she dies. But because he regains access to his true feelings again (lifestream scene)..and they are with Tifa.
Man~even while he has no access to them he is like a hen around its chick with Tifa.😊 Touching, watching, eye contact all the time (just watch this posts video below).
If anything, Aeriths death brought him further away from being with Tifa completely because he feels he failed yet another important person. A person he even might have loved because she was a friend. He hates this feeling and he blames himself for all the deaths, especially Aerith's. And he is so afraid to lose Tifa like that as well. That's why he keeps his distance later especially in Advent Children. Even though we have the Night under the High Wind.
Because if losing a person like Aerith, yes all lovely and sweet and bright and a friend, but if losing a person after several weeks, can do that to him, what would Tifas death do to him?
He doesn't want her, Marlene or Denzel to suffer if she sees that he has a supposedly terminal disease.
He doesn't trust himself to be really enough for her. He can't face her and leaves and has another episode of self isolation and self doubt. In his mind (?) he talks to Aerith ( and Zack is there as well, yaay) he seeks for forgiveness until he realizes he has to forgive himself first. Aerith and Zack reunited in the life stream, his friends, like his big brother and sister or like guardians watching over him, encouraging him as well to trust in himself the future and his loved ones. He sure loves Aerith, but it feels like a different kind of love from his love for Tifa. And this is fine. I would never say he doesn’t love Aerith. But it’s not in a romantic way. Maybe there was an attraction building when they met in sector 5, a curiosity. But for me his bond with Tifa overpowered this in various scenes before and after that section.
So Cloud leaves, nearly ghosting his family and Tifa, and as a fan of Cloti that was hard to watch, but seeing his reasons I came to accept and understand that he needed this.BIn the end yet again their bond is strong enough for pulling them back together again. He goes to stand with Tifa, his family his friends.
In the End Tifa welcomes him back and he finally starts to believe things will be better.
So for me there is no gravitational romantic pull between Aerith and Cloud but between Tifa and him.
This is a bit all over the place and I didn’t put in sources to prove my points because many others here in the fandom did in their analyses. I took a bit of additional intel from everyone's impressions and my own conclusions on the canon.
I just wanted to give my impression.

Higurashi When They Cry Part 8 - Ch 8 Matsuribayashi-hen
Tumblr media
So, the reason Takano is obsessed with the Hinamizawa disease is because she wants to prove her grandpa's theory that there are parasites in our brains affecting our emotions and thoughts, and the different parasites in different areas etc are what causes cultural differences and clashes in thoughts across the world? And it's these parasites that "control" humans. It's saddening to think about the idea of orphanages that operated as a way to claim money "for the children" rather than actually taking care of the children. Like, I can understand being overworked and unappreciated considering the amount of war orphans and others like that, but the thought that people could take advantage of these children to get money and just treat them like prisoners to be beaten or punished when they don't act the way they want them to is just terrible... I guess the fact that the Takano back then who ran away from the orphanage and even bit off the finger of her pursuer to escape shows how bad the place was and how desperate she was to leave. It probably was literally a do or die situation to her.
It's kinda interesting to think that the reason why Takano's grandfather's research was ignored wasn't because it was useless, but because it might have actually been credible in a sense. Due to a war that had erupted because of the mystery behind whether a soldier from Hinamizawa shot the other side or not, this caused a neutral pact to fall through and make the two parties go to war. In the end, since Japan insisted that they weren't at fault and China insisted the same, if Takano's grandfather's research were to come to light, then the fault could be insinuated to be from the Hinamizawa soldier and therefore Japan's fault, and that's why the research was unsupported. I guess it's nice for Takano that her research is getting sponsored properly, by the SDF even since they would probably want to use it as a weapon if the research comes to fruition properly. On the other hand, child Takano got caught huh? Even though Dr Takano saved her later, I'm sure her trauma is something difficult to come to terms with. Personal note, I have to admit, I don't really care for Takano though haha, but I understand why her story is necessary to unfold now. It's saddening to watch how excited Dr Takano was over presenting his research to potential sponsors and then having it all shattered with their cruel allegations that it's all his own delusion and that he was so consumed with the research that he's just making it seem as if it's credible because he wants it to be and not because there's enough evidence or whatever. It's terrible to hear people say something like that for something you sacrificed your whole life to research..and imagine taking those doubts to the grave, like maybe he was delusional blah blah, that's crappy... Psychosurgery is something I never really thought about though! The idea of severing certain connections between the frontal lobe and the rest of the brain sounds really interesting yet dangerous, I can see why it was ethically challenged later on and even caused Dr Irie to kinda be cast aside from the industry considering his persistence on it when they're trying to swerve away from it. At least he sticks to his beliefs I guess haha.
The connecting fragments thing is rather interesting, I like getting more information on what exactly happened behind the scenes with all the discussions they had and everything. It's quite sad and sweet to see how Rika's conviction towards saving Satoko allowed her to accept the idea of people researching her brain or whatever since she's the "parasite leader". It's also saddening to see Hanyuu heartbroken over everyone fighting because of the dam project. Seeing Tomitake smitten with Takano is rather saddening too. Anyway, for context, connecting the fragments is to make way to the ultimate "ending" where they can win against Takano (since Takano has accumulated a lot of support from organisations such as the SDF and has "won" in every world before this because of it + her indomitable will to spread her grandfather's research making way for it to be "fate" I guess). Although it should have been expected that Ooishi has a particular reason to be so adamant about finding out the mystery and murders in Hinamizawa, I don't know why but I actually found his reason to be rather contrived when it was revealed that the dismembered dam construction head guy was someone he sort of respected as a second father after he lost his real one. I guess it's kinda because at this point, I've forgotten how I felt about Ooishi haha, and also because it's just a short segment I guess so it's hard to feel much for it.
As someone whose not a big fan of Satoko (blasphemy, I know right haha), I definitely relate to Satoshi's situation much more and I always wanted more insight into his feelings. It's actually really sad to think about his situation. He loves Satoko, but he's also super tired, he'll always try to protect her whether it be from his stepfathers or his aunt and uncle, but regardless of whose fault it is, anyone will get tired of having to do this all the time. It was heartbreaking to hear that he hated himself for wanting Satoko to stay at the clinic longer just so he could have some peace away from his aunt and Satoko arguing all the time. As someone who also hates the sounds of arguing, I can understand a little bit of that and just how stressful it can be. I...wonder how Satoshi would react if he knew Satoko pushed her parents off the cliff on that trip. Like yeah, she was affected by the Hinamizawa Syndrome and that caused her to kinda go crazy from paranoia, but Satoshi was sane, he knew his parents really wanted to make amends, even the stepfather took courses to try and fix their relationship and Satoshi saw that, so I feel like if Satoshi found that out, he would break. Anyway, I'm not sure how I feel like the story is painting the Hinamizawa Syndrome. On one hand, I understand that yes, if it's caused by a medical condition exacerbating emotions that they can't control, it can't be helped that so many worlds turned out the way it did, but at the same time, it feels like a lot of it tries to apportion all the blame to the Hinamizawa Syndrome as if it never existed, then everything would be fine? Maybe I'm interpreting it wrong, but it makes me feel like that which I don't agree with, since I feel that even if things wouldn't have turned out so drastic with the clawing of the necks etc, I still think that with the way a lot of characters were treated and how they felt, things were inevitable whether the syndrome was there or not.
It's sweet to know that Tomitake was sincere with Takano and really tried his best to be her ally, it's just that even though he knew her, he couldn't really help her, and I guess that's something a lot of us struggle with. No matter how well we can know the people close to us, it's not necessarily true that we can "heal" them. Of course we still try, but as it was with Satoko, if they don't help themselves, then outside help can never truly help them. On the other hand, it's interesting that Keiichi's father was able to see Hanyuu and Rika play together when he first visited Hinamizawa hoping to change his life and environment for Keiichi. He's right though, as we grow older, I feel like we do slowly lose our "innocence" as we know more things and "sin", so when we look at children, we always think back and look fondly to that and to them as representative of what we lost and what we hope we still had. I guess it's kinda amusing to say that Takano had a strong will when she nearly gave up and drank her sorrows away after Koizumi (main backer who was friends with her grandpa) died and she couldn't convince the new people to believe in her research until some people under Koizumi's faction came along to "help" her. In a sense, Takano is just trying her best to make sure to tell everyone and her grandfather that he didn't waste away his whole life on useless research, but at the same time it's unsettling to watch her be so consumed by it. Anyway, as I said, it's amusing that Takano is considered to have a strong will, when in a sense I feel like Rika being able to live through all those worlds again and again should be "stronger" but at the same time more weary I assume haha. Regardless, I guess what Rika lacked was concrete support, since even if Takano is being used, she still has support, whereas Rika was always by herself with Hanyuu who doesn't really encourage her since she doesn't believe that fate will change and I guess that didn't help Rika haha.
Tumblr media
Akasaka becoming super capable after his wife's death is interesting, like will he be able to reach the same heights in martial prowess if his wife doesn't end up dying? On the other hand, Hanyuu can transfer in as a normal kid?! Cuteee. It was so cute how Hanyuu tried so hard to tell them that she wanted to join their club, and I loved how Rika refused to say it for her, and told Hanyuu that if she wanted it, she had to say it herself. Believing in something is like a gamble huh? When you think about it like that, I guess in a sense, it is. Our beliefs are beliefs because it's not a fact or the "truth" after all, it's basically what we have chosen to think "exists" after we thought about it. The sad thing though is that what we believe in isn't always the "right" thing, but I guess that's fine since we chose to believe in it? Not gonna lie, when they were talking about how they "sacrificed" Hanyuu and her mother(?) back in the day to like cleanse their sins, all I could think about was Jesus, so now I'm just thinking about Rika's ancestor being Jesus and now she's met her in the flesh lol.
Tumblr media
Anyway, I love how Hanyuu and Rika pitched their whole situation to Keiichi and them like it's a manga. I think it was really cool to see the whole group bounce ideas off each other with Rika piping in trying to get them to figure out what she couldn't about the whole situation. I really liked it since I feel like the biggest reason Rika is unable to find a way out of this a lot of the time is because she's the one experiencing it, and she's experienced it many times, so it's difficult for her to think outside the box when she feels like she's done that. So I think it's great to see her give the group details to try and see from their perspective what the reason could be for Takano to destroy Hinamizawa, and well as expected, she's most likely being used by the higher ups as she gets revenge by killing Rika and the village. It also feels so great to see Ooishi, Akasaka, Tomitake and Irie get to talk everything out and try to solve things, everything just feels like dang, we've really come such a long way for the final world! Btw lmao at Hanyuu teasing Rika about not trusting her friends enough, it's time for Hanyuu's revenge on Rika!! Or not, lmao at Rika making spicy food (Hanyuu hates it lol) and dumping the cream puffs lolll. On the other hand, omg I love the group's strategic meeting, Hanyuu fits in so well hahaha. I love the 48 hour strategy though, I didn't get it (just like Rena and Rika) initially, but once they explained it, I was like whoa, that is actually a great idea to blow away the presumption that everyone in the village goes crazy in 48 hours! If Rika's corpse appears and is proven that she had been dead for more than 48 hours and yet no one had gone crazy in that time, then their hypothesis about the queen carrier causing them to go crazy would be wrong and everything could sail much smoother, it's nice!
I guess it's really interesting how in the end, many people in Hinamizawa actually do understand and think that the dam construction war is over now and that things should start facing forward and moving properly again; whether this be Oryou or Mion and Shion's mother Akane, they're all tired of being stuck in the past and want to move beyond that, so it's nice to see that Akane and Shion actually visited the dam construction leader guy's grave every year (just like Ooishi) as a way to remind themselves but also tell him that the past is the past and they hope he rests in peace. I quite like Akane and Ooishi, I found it hilarious when Ohtaka was trying to get info about whether Rika was really dead and pretended he knew Sonozaki Saburou (higher up representative) right when he and Akane came in to the police station lol. On the other hand, I want to feel sorry for Takano, but whenever I think about how she was willing to sacrifice Tomitake in every world for her revenge, I don't really pity her lol. Honestly, it was only a matter of time until Tomitake would get captured since everyone knows how important he is, but I was so worried for Irie. No one needs to worry about Akasaka because he's obviously too strong haha. I didn't expect Shion to pick Irie up when he was injured, I was so relieved! But I will be so sad if she and Kasai die. It's nice to know Shion's true feelings and that even though Mion feels bad that she took Shion's place as the older sister, Shion also felt bad for taking Mion's place as the younger sister. Despite everything, they both know how hard it is to be in either place because of the burdens they have. Honestly, I nearly cried when Akasaka came to save the day, he really is Rika's hero, the one who will finally save her after regretting leaving her to die in so many worlds, it was so heartwarming to see. He's ridiculously OP but I guess that's what happens when you train for so long haha.

Satoshi being alive and in the basement if the clinic undergoing treatment is nice for Irie, Satoko and Shion. I personally think it fits the story better if he's dead, but if we want a true happy ending, then he needs to be there so that Satoko can truly apologise to him, Shion can properly tell him how much she cares and Irie can feel less guilt over having to kill or use terminal patients. The mountain fight between the kids club and the Mountain Dogs was pretty fun but expected, I still think in terms of excitement it pales in comparison to their usual games haha, but Mion as commander is always such a highlight, I love seeing how confident she is. It was nice to have the group pitted against Takano as a last battle kinda thing, but I do admit that when Takano was the "main loser" out of all this, I was like, can this really be a happy ending if they characterised her so much but gave only her a bad ending? So yeah even though Tomitake is too good for her, I was happy that he came back to save her, since he's just that kind of person. Honestly, whether Takano has the Hinamizawa Syndrome is something to think about since scratching herself could be stress too imo, but I guess it doesn't matter anymore. Anyway, I honestly wanted Takano to be a much more formidable opponent for them, but I guess not lol. What I really enjoyed though was Rika calling Akasaka "papa" at the festival and his wife was about to kill him over it🤣 and I'm glad that Hanyuu got to stay and play with them since she's part of the group after all. The possibilities of forever where Ryukishi07 talks about how we as readers could create our own abundance of fragments and stories etc was interesting I guess haha, I do wonder though, how would Takano's life have been if she went with her parents to the mall and they didn't end up dying? Wouldn't that be nice? But I wonder what would have happened with the Hinamizawa Syndrome like that.
Tumblr media
Overall, the last chapter was as I expected? Honestly, I took a long time to read it because I knew it wouldn’t be my favourite or as enjoyable as the others so it was difficult to “end” my journey with Higurashi but yeah I still liked it regardless I guess haha. Anyway, yeah, I knew it wouldn't be as fun and interesting to me as the other chapters, especially since Keiichi and the others aren't as prominent here due to the adults helping out to obtaining the good ending with all of them. But I did enjoy Akasaka and everyone working their hardest in their own way to save the people important to them. I kinda thought Ooishi would have a better role but I guess it's okay that he and Akane are pretty funny together lol. However, I do think that Okonogi of the Mountain Dogs was more lacklustre(?) than I thought? I think he could have been pretty cool, but I guess they spent more time humanising Takano haha. The battles weren't as exciting as Keiichi's club battles but I guess that's because Keiichi is a funny and cool guy haha. And I think I just didn't care for all the god stuff with Hanyuu and everything, so I think it would have been better for me if everything was solved by everyone uniting together without the need of supernatural stuff but that's just me. I'm just glad that we got to see the fruits of all their efforts and see everyone believe in the miracle that they could win. It was really satisfying to see everything come into place.
Overall review
Higurashi is a solid VN. Honestly, when I first read Onikakushi, I wasn't sure if I would like it or not even though I was intrigued, but it was crazy how much I loved Watanagashi and the others. The way they set out the mystery, how they had the staff room talks to discuss with you the possibilities and everything, it was just so much fun. I loved the endless possibilities of each different world and how it showed really well how living in your own bubble, not trusting your friends and not communicating with others could make things go so wrong. Of course a lot of it was attributed to the Hinamizawa Syndrome, but at the same time there were a lot of real problems that each character had to go through in order to grow, and I think I personally loved Rena's arc the most. I think her emotions were portrayed so well, and I loved how everyone in the group united with her in Meakashi. I loved how the theme of friendship felt so real, and I think going through the various chapters really helped to build that. Honestly, the slice of life parts used to be so long and annoying for me in the first two chapters, but it eventually became the highlight for me, and it was better than the mystery itself haha. Overall, I think I would give the whole story (all the chapters) an 8.5/10 and would definitely recommend it over the anime (the new one at least haha, I haven’t watched the old one), I think what makes Higurashi so good is how detailed it goes into a lot of the feelings and actions of our main characters and I feel like a lot of that is lost in the anime. Anyway people say the PS3 sprites and voice patches are needed to enjoy this, but I played it like the original sound novel it was and I still loved it. I think it's actually kinda crazy how music and character sprites can enhance the experience of reading a novel so much haha. So yeah, I don't doubt that maybe the patch could make it even better (I guess I can try it in the future haha, since I do think I would like to read it again) but I think it's fine either way. I also bought it in Japanese for the switch so maybe I'll read it in Japanese one day!😆

Reacting to their deaths - Avengers
Notes: Quick apology for some of the gifs (some stopped working while I was doing this), I had to look far and wide for some of them. I guess I should also apologise for the prompt itself, prepare for tears.
Tumblr media
Loki
You had been on the ship when Thanos boarded. You and Loki had bonded over your time on Sakaar, and you felt like the two of you were becoming closer now Asgard was no more. Unfortunately for you, Thor had Heimdell send you and Bruce back to Earth with the last of his strength. You never saw what happened next.
It wasn't until Waganda, when Thor appeared with his new Hammer and companions, that you found out what happened. You asked him if Loki was OK and if he was on his way.
Everything became a blur after that. Thor shook his head with heartbreak in his gaze. You felt yourself falling to the ground, despite the battle around you, and screaming at the top of your lungs. Thor cradled you as his new friends fought off those who tried to use this as an opening to attack you.
You'd never find out if you and Loki would ever get closer.
Tumblr media
Gamora
You were on Thanos’ planet with the Guardians, Doctor Strange, Peter Parker and Tony when you found out. When Quill had told you that Thanos had taken Gammora you didn’t want to believe it.
When Thanos had been restrained by your little group, he looked at you with sad eyes and apologised. You were confused at first, one reason being his expression and the second being his words.
Mantis said he was mourning. The apology was directed at you specifically. That’s when you knew.
Tears were already beginning to well up in your eyes. Quill wrapped his arms around you the moment Thanos began to fight back. He, too, was shedding tears.
“He’s lying.” You muttered. “He’s lying...”
He wasn’t. You never got to see Gamora again.
Tumblr media
Vision
If the first time wasn’t enough, then the second time was. Twice you had to see him die. The first was a self scarification with the help of Wanda. You understood why she had to do it, but the second, that was just cruel.
Thanos would stop at nothing to get those stones.
When the lifeless body of Vision was tossed aside, you ran to him. He was completely inactive. Dead. All life had gone when the stone had been forcibly removed.
You thought you couldn’t hate Thanos any more, you were wrong.
Bucky Barnes
His hand was in yours as you were returning to Steve’s side. Everything seemed fine, but the moment Steve came into view, you knew something was wrong.
It happened instantly, his gun fell to the ground as his body collapsed, his hand turning to ash and falling through your fingers. The impact of the fall caused the ash particles to blow up into a cloud. He was gone. Just like that!
Steve approached you as you knelt down to where Bucky had just been. No noise could make it out of you as you sat there trying to understand what had just happened.
Your heart broke as Steve pulled you into his chest, and that was when you cried your heart out, letting the world know you lost someone special.
Tumblr media
Sam Wilson
You had lost contact with Sam a while ago, caught up in the battle. When things calmed down a little bit, after Thanos snapped his fingers,  you went looking for him. You needed to know he was safe.
Rhodey helped you out by calling his name and staying close by while you searched. Neither one of you found him.
You did, however, find a pile of dust.
Something clicked within you as you looked down at it. A sinking feeling made it’s home in your chest, and you just knew.
It broke your heart when you had to tell Steve one of his friends was gone. You didn't realise just how bad telling him was until you found out about his other buddy.
T'Challa
Everything felt weird. It was quiet for a moment. The world had felt like it stopped.
Okoye was on the ground, you were right behind her looking around dazed. You had a sudden feeling of dread as T’Challa came into view. He smiled down at you both as if everything was fine.
It wasn’t.
Okoye reached for his arm as he offered to help her to her feet, but her grip instantly slacked as his arm disintegrated. Your eyes widened as he suddenly turned to ash. Every single bit blew with the breeze.
Okoye turned to you with wide eyes, but you couldn't look at her.
Thanos had succeeded in erasing half the population, taking T’Challa in that half.
You got to your feet, helping Okoye too, and a silent agreement settled that neither of you would let him get away with that.
What would you tell Shuri?
Wanda Maximoff
Wanda had gone straight to Vision’s body after Thanos had thrown him to the side and you felt it best to stay with her. You wrapped your arms around her as she looked down at Vision’s grey body.
You wanted to just forget that today was even happening, but you stayed strong for Wanda. She was important to you.
Before you could even suggest leaving, she vanished. Like dust in the wind, she was gone. You blinked a couple of times as your looked at the ash in your hands.
“Wanda?” Her name left your lips in a whisper.
You’d never hear her voice again.
Groot
You were sure Groot and Rocket were around here somewhere. They were all you had of the Guardians left, as far as you knew. The moment you all came to Earth you had no way of contacting the others.
Just as you found them, you heard Rocket talking, he was reaching out to Groot.
“No, no, no!” You hurried over, but it was too late. Groot had gone. Your group had already lost him once but this time he wasn’t coming back.
Rocket turned to you slowly.
“He’s gone.”
Tumblr media
Mantis + Drax
There was an eerie silence on Titan. You looked to Quil for comfort. He looked at you concerned and hen his eyes shifted behind you. You turned around and saw what he was looking at.
Mantis went first. Barely time to say anything.
Drax went right after.
You turned to Quill quickly. “He did it.”
Tumblr media
Peter Quill
Quill looked at you sadly as he felt himself go.
You reached out quickly as if that would help, but he was gone in the blink of an eye. You had just seen Mantis and Drax go, now Quill.
Your gaze fell to the rest of the group, each of them not able to believe what had happened.
“Thanos won.” You muttered
You hoped Rocket and Groot were safe. You couldn’t bare losing any more friends.
Tumblr media
Stephen Strange
Thanos was very close to killing Tony Stark right then and there, but Doctor Strange, or Stephen, as he had asked you to call him, stopped him before he could.
“Spare his life and I’ll give you the stone.”
You wanted to stop him from doing that, but you couldn’t find your voice. The stone was handed over and Thanos left. You knew he had to be headed for Earth as that was where the last stone was.
“Tony, there was no other way.”
He looked at you.
He vanished in front of your eyes just like that. You could barely breathe.
Tumblr media
Peter Parker
Once everyone had vanished around you, you began to panic. This meant Thanos had won, he got what he wanted. Your mind began to wonder how many friends on Earth you would never see again.
As you turned to face the friends you still had, you saw Parker begin to stagger.
“I don’t... I don’t feel so good.” Tony caught him as he began to fall. “I don’t want to go.”
You rushed over to them and just as you touched Peter’s shoulder, he went.
Tony couldn’t look you in the eye after that.
You’d never felt so empty before.
Tumblr media
Shuri
You had just seen T’Challa disintegrate along with many other friends. Your heart was racing with the thought that you would have to tell his sister.
When Thanos had gone and everyone who was still alive had regrouped, you didn’t see Shuri anywhere.
“Where is Shuri? Is she alright?” You asked quickly.
The group looked around at each other quietly and slowly.
Steve shook his head.
That’s all the answer you needed.
Another dear friend lost to Thanos’ power. You hated those damn infinity stones.
End note: I know when they vanish there’s not actually anything left, but, come on, drama! ;)

Timing and Opportunity
Honestly, Donna knew that Jody wasn’t that fond of her when they first met at the Sheriff’s retreat. She was over-friendly, trying to get back in the graces of her ex-husband Doug. So, she was surprised that with their initial meeting being so rough, Jody had stood up for her. She had told Doug off and given Donna reason to believe in herself. Then there was the whole incident with Vampires and getting a rude awakening to the world of supernatural things. Jody could have dumped her on Sam and Dean to get more of an introduction into Hunting, but she chose to take it upon herself.
They had exchanged numbers and other information before Jody left to go to Sioux Falls, but Donna didn’t expect much to come out of it. Perhaps an occasional check-in or to let the other know that there was a hunt in their area. When Jody’s first text was just a couple days later asking how she was doing, it was a pleasant surprise. They texted back and forth for an hour, that first time, just talking about little snippets of their day. Donna found out about Jody’s surrogate daughter Alex. Jody learned about Donna’s love of Karaoke.
When Donna had another case show up in her jurisdiction, the first person she wanted to call for help was Jody. She had her thumb hovering over the call button, but in the end, she called Sam and Dean instead. She found herself wanting to impress Jody. Calling her for help would be the last thing to impress her in Donna’s mind. The boys arrived, and they quickly helped her clean up the case involving multiple cursed objects. They also pushed her into giving a chance to her Deputy, Doug, who had unknowingly helped them get rid of the items.
After Sam and Dean had left, she texted Jody to talk about the hunt. There were congratulations: For figuring out what the issue was, for getting rid of all the cursed objects keeping the spirit stuck, and for getting back out there and dating again. But that last one bothered Donna. Doug was definitely a nice guy, even though he shared a name with her ex-husband. Jody mimicked what the boys had said. He deserved a chance, she deserved to be happy. But if you had asked Donna then, she wouldn’t have been able to tell you why she was upset that Jody was happy for her.
Despite Donna’s irritation with the whole scenario, she kept up a façade for their friendship’s sake. Jody had done nothing wrong. Donna knew that. And Jody didn’t deserve to be treated differently because of some weird feeling that she was having. So, their texting continued, and nothing appeared to be any different than usual. Until their routine changed.
Donna’s cell phone rang. It wasn’t a notification, it was actually ringing. Jody was calling, and unless something was terribly wrong, there shouldn’t be a reason for her to call.
“Jody?”
“Hey, Donna, how are you?”
“I’m doin’ alright, ya know. You?” Donna tried to sound casual, but she was unable to cover the concern in her voice.
“I’m ok, Donna.” Jody’s voice was calm and soothing, “But I want you to tell me the truth. Something’s different.”
Donna felt like the child caught with her hand in the cookie jar. “Whatcha mean?”
“I mean that you’ve been slower to respond. You’ve been giving shorter answers.” Jody paused for a moment. “Did I do something to upset you?”
Donna’s heart dropped. “No, Sunshine. I promise. It’s been kinda tense on my side the past couple of weeks since that hunt.”
“Everything ok with you and Doug?”
“Still new. Couple of Dates.”
“Donna,” Jody’s voice cut straight through to the point. “If you haven’t figured it out yet, I don’t have very many friends. Sure, I have the people in town, a few other hunters as acquaintances. But you’ve quickly become my best friend. Silly quirks and all.”
“Really?”
“Really. Which is why I’ve noticed something is up.”
“Just some stress. I promise.”
Jody let out a sigh. “Ok, but you also need to promise me that if something else happens, you’ll tell me immediately?”
“Yeah, Jody I will.”
“Good. Now. Tell me about your day.”
***
Their routine changed from there. They would tell each other their schedules for the week. They planned daily phone calls, even though they texted throughout the day. They also made time to spend the occasional weekend together, either at Donna’s lake cabin – which the brothers and Jody had now commandeered as a safe house – or Donna would happily make the eight-hour trip to Sioux Falls. The trips to Sioux Falls were more frequent, as Jody now had a second surrogate daughter, Claire. While both girls were old enough to be on their own – Claire went on hunts on her own – Jody was quite the bit of the mother hen.
Doug would joke when Donna and Jody were on the phone or were planning one of their meetups. He would state that he’s the third wheel in their relationship. That there was no coming between the two ladies. Donna appreciated that Doug respected their friendship. He always kept the jokes polite. Doug had told Donna once that she and Jody were like peas and carrots, peanut butter and jelly, or even thunder and lightning.
The comparisons always made Donna smile. Especially the thunder and lightning. They were fierce, strong women. Where one would go, the other would follow. Which made the phone call from Jody asking her to meet Alex at her cabin heartbreaking. Jody was going with the Winchester clan to take out the British Men of Letters. It was one of the few times they fought. Donna had pleaded to let anyone else go with the boys, but Jody wasn’t having it.
“Donna, you know they wouldn’t ask if they didn’t need me.”
“Please Jody, ya know I need ya too. There’s gotta be someone else who can help too.” Donna cursed herself for sounding needy.
“I promise to be safe. It’s not just me and Sam and Dean. Mary will be there, and we’ve got another 3 or 4 hunters too. We’re going to kick the Brits out of the States Revolutionary War style.”
“But you’re still worried enough to send Alex away.”
“Per the boys, they have Dossiers on us. On all of us. That means you too. We need to do this. If this information gets out, you know what that can do. Claire isn’t around, and I know she can take care of herself.” Jody’s voice broke. “Keep Alex safe. You’re the only one I trust to do this.”
“Dammit, Jody.” Donna willed herself not to cry. “Please be safe, ok? I’ll meet Alex at the cabin.”
“I will, and you will be the first person I call when it’s over, just like always.”
***
Jody had called again. The Brothers had gone missing, and she needed Donna’s help. As far as the two could tell, they had been hopping through rifts looking for Mary and Jack. Donna dropped everything and asked Doug to man the station.
Doug looked at her sadly but smiled. “Donna, you know I believe in soulmates, right?”
“Yeah.”
“It’s ok if I’m not yours, ya know.” He nodded towards the door. “Go help out Jody. Must be a pretty bad perp if she’s calling in the big guns from Minnesota.”
“Thank you, Doug.” Donna ran out to her truck and started the trek to Sioux Falls.
***
Claire’s loss had been Donna’s realization. Doug planted the seed but watching the pain that the young woman was going through nurtured the feeling that Donna could never figure out. It felt shitty. All Donna wanted to do was comfort the young hunter over the loss of her first love, but at the same time, she wanted to wrap her arms around Jody and tell her how much she loved her. She had almost lost Jody twice in such a short period.
She watched as Jody went to go comfort Claire. Would Jody even return her feelings? Why was she even thinking about this right now? Donna grabbed the broom and dustpan from the kitchen and started sweeping the glass from where the creatures had crashed through the front window. She had to stop thinking about it. As Donna swept the glass into the dustpan, another thought solemnly crossed her mind.
***
Doug.
Donna would have an answer about Doug just a few short weeks later. She had been trying to figure out a way to break up with him. She was always the one who was dumped. She never got to tell someone it was over. Hell, even at the Sheriff retreat when she was trying to rekindle with her ex-husband, Jody had been the one to end that relationship for her.
When Wendy was kidnapped, all hell broke loose. She called in a favor with Dean and Sam. While she wasn’t one-hundred percent sure it was supernatural, she wanted another set of eyes on the case with her. Doug wasn’t leaving her side either. She had forgotten about wanting to break up with Doug, she was laser-focused on getting her niece back. She didn’t think twice about telling Doug about the supernatural world.
When Doug was bitten by the Vamp, her heart had dropped. Her fear of losing someone she cared about was coming true. She and Dean were able to reverse the process, but all Donna could think about was what if that had been Jody. Sure, she would have been sad about Doug if he had been fully turned, but she could have decapitated him. If it had been Jody, she didn’t know what she would do.
After rescuing Wendy, Doug broke up with her. He told her that he loved her and thought that she was a “big damn hero,” but that he couldn’t be with her. He couldn’t be with someone that fought the monsters that hid under the bed. And Sam, bless him, thought that her tears were of sadness. He had witnessed the whole break up. He gave her a pep talk and said that it was best to let him go and let him be a civilian. She didn’t have it in her heart to tell him that he was wrong. She was the happiest she had been in years.
Now she only had to find a way to tell Jody that she loved her.
***
Donna called Jody on their lunch break. They had timed it almost perfectly today. “Ya know Jody, ya need a hobby.” Donna could imagine Jody’s eye roll perfectly. “Yer either working or yer on a hunt. It ain’t healthy dontcha know.”

Left outside alone
Tumblr media
Request: I liked never again! can you write something similar but not abo?DeanxViring reader and when she gets pregnant he stop talking with her they always talked about everything and for all the 7 month Sam helps her when she vomit, doctor. One day jody&Claire comes visit and she doesn’t feel well so jody helps her shower and dean enters the bathroom without knocking and see her naked with the bump for the first time and ask jody to leave, he helps her both crying fluff smut end, possessive dean and sam
Pairing: Dean x Reader, Sam, unnamed doctor, Claire Novak, Jody Mills
Warnings: language, angst, sad reader, heartbreak, pregnant reader, unplanned pregnancy, implied smut, light smut, loss of virginity, unprotected sex (with consequences), oral (female receiving), slow sex, smut (unprotected), fingering, morning sickness, arguments, mother hen Sam, possessive Dean, fluff
“Dean, you feel so good. I think I’m close.“ You whisper.
Kissing your neck softly Dean rolls his hips slowly. Bringing you unknown pleasure he whispers loving words into your ear.
Your hands hold tight onto his back when you fall apart for him.
Not far behind Dean moans your name before he fills you with his cum.
Sitting in the library you sob. That was two months ago. Before you got to know you’re pregnant. Before he started to ignore you. He’s not even talking to you anymore.
For two months Sam is your rock. Taking the role Dean should fulfill Sam is always there for you. Playing the big brother you never had he keeps you upright.
You understand that Dean is mad. That he doesn’t want a baby…with you. It was his fault too. He knew you are a virgin. That you didn’t take birth control as you were single.
Still, he blames you and you alone. At least you think so as he never said a single word to you after you told him about your pregnancy.
“Hey, you ready?” Sam asks softly.
“Yeah, thanks for driving me to my appointment and for coming with me, Sam.” You whisper.
“I want to see the baby too. The little bean grows fast. Even if Dean isn’t interested, I’m. I’m going to be an uncle.”
Giving Sam a shy smile you try to hide the hurting once again. You let him take your virginity and now he ignores you.
“We should go. I don’t want to…” You don’t end the sentence as Dean enters the library.
That’s exactly what you tried to avoid. Meeting him before an ultrasound is the worst.
Sam sees your discomfort right away. Shaking his head, he slings an arm around your shoulders to shield you from his big brother's angry looks. Slowly walking out of the bunker, you try to push the tears away.
----
“The baby is healthy and everything is fine, Y/N. Don’t worry I will help you no matter what,” Sam says when you walk back into the bunker.
“I know but that’s not the same. All the women come with the father of the babies. How shall I explain to my baby that I was only a one night stand for her father?”
“Daughter?”
“Castiel told me so last week. I will call her Mary Charlene. Do you like the name?”
“It’s a beautiful name, Y/N. Mom would be very happy and Charlie too.”
“I got no one else to ask…”
“I’m so sorry that Dean acts like a complete douche.”
“That’s not your fault Sammy, you know that. You’re the best. Without you and Cas I would break down all the time.”
“Rest a bit I’ll bring you a sandwich later.”
“Thanks, for everything.”
------
Sam can no longer hold back his anger. Another ultrasound and Dean didn’t man up. Storming into his big brother room Sam clenches his jaw.
“You act like a stupid child!”
“I didn’t want a baby. Not in life like ours!”
“But you will become a father! You seduce her not the other way around. Y/N was innocent. You knew that and still, you couldn’t let your cock into your pants. Now she’s pregnant and thinks she was only one of your one night stands.”
“That’s not true!”
“Sure. But you act like that. This is your fault, not hers. You are an experienced partner. How could you forget to use a condom? Since when do you have unprotected sex? She was completely inexperienced. It wasn’t her job to use protection! It was your job to protect her and you failed. Don’t blame her for your mistake!”
“Still I don’t want a baby!”
“Fine. Whatever! She has me! Forget that I tried to make you see she needs you. Continue playing around with random sluts and I’ll take care of your responsibility…like always!” Sam yells slamming the door behind him shut.
-----
“Shhh…calm down. It’s only another ultrasound, Mary…” You whisper stroking your 5 months baby bump.
“Is she kicking you?” Sam chuckles holding your hand while you wait for the doctor to make the ultrasound.
“Yeah, very lively today.”
“Do you feel better?”
“A bit. Thanks for holding my hair this morning. I had hoped the morning sickness would get better but the last week was hell.”
“No need to thank me, Y/N. We will make it, okay. Just tell me if you need help.”
Squeezing the gentle giants hand you hold back the tears.
Why couldn’t you fall for Sam instead for his ignorant big brother?
-----
“Where is my favorite pregnant lady?” Jody asks entering the bunker.
“I want to see her bump!” Claire adds.
“She doesn’t feel well.” Sam sighs.
“Still so bad? I mean the morning sickness?”
“I know. Seven months and still she suffers so much.”
“I will check on her. I had it worse during my pregnancy too, Sam. Have a break. I know it is hard for you to take care of her. She isn’t your girlfriend. I can’t believe he didn’t take care of her.” Jody says.
“He’s an asshole!” Claire mutters.
“Claire!”
“What Jody? It’s true! Even I know it’s his fault she got pregnant. I know she was a virgin, Jody! Girls talk!”
“Okay, Sam I think you should keep an eye on the young lady, or she will scratch Dean’s eyes out!” Jody chuckles.
“You can count on that! Stupid selfish bastard! How can he treat her like that? She thought he loves her!”
“Claire I really got no clue. I thought so too, believe me, I tried to talk to him so many times. He insists on not wanting a baby. I got no clue what else I could try. I even begged him to at least say something to her. He used to talk about everything with her. I can see the hurting in her eyes, and it kills me.” Sam whispers.
“Hey, I didn’t mean to insult you, Sam. I know you helped her the whole time. You are her tall rock. She told me so.” Claire says sadly.
“I know. Let’s try to help her.”
“Okay, you two relax and I will help Y/N for the next days.” Jody states.
“Yes, ma’am!” Sam chuckles.
-----
“How do you feel Y/N?” Jody asks entering your room.
“Not that good. My stomach is fighting me again and the little girl is kicking me. On top of all, he gave me an angry look again.” You whisper.
“How about a hot shower? It helped me relax.”
“I’m a bit shaky today, I don’t think I can shower right now.”
“Let me help you.”
“Jody, that’s a bit embarrassing.”
“Nothing is embarrassing. We are grown, women. You need help so I will help you. Even Sam would help you, but I guess you don’t want him to see you naked.”
“No, he helped me so much the last months. I can’t ask him to do that too.”
“Then it is decided. Let me help you.”
“Thanks, Jody.”
“Come on. Let us get you cleaned up, honey.”
-----
“Okay, we managed to undress you. Now I will stand under the spray with you and clean your body.”
“Thank you, Jody.” You whisper.
Testing the water pressure and the heat Jody holds her hand under the spray. Both of you don’t hear the door to the bathroom silently opening.
Slowly stroking your swollen stomach, you don’t see Dean’s wide eyes at the sight of your baby bump. A single tear is rolling down his cheek when he sees you looking so sad.
“What do you want in here!” Jody mutters seeing Dean standing in the door frame.
“I…Y/N?”
Trying to cover yourself you grab a towel. Not looking into Dean’s eyes, you cast your look down.
“If you came to yell at her it’s the wrong moment. She’s not feeling well. Hell, she can’t even shower on her own. But you don’t care – right? You had your fun.” Jody grunts now.
“Can you leave us alone, Jody? Please. I will help her.” Dean says.
“I won’t leave her alone. She needs my help. Her legs are still shaky. Do you want her to slip and get hurt or lose the baby?”
“I said I will help her. Please let me help her, Jody.”
Searching Dean’s face Jody sees regret and desperation coloring his features. Taking a deep breath, she nods.
----
“Let me help you. Please.” Dean whispers when you flinch away.
“Why? Jody could help me. I don’t need your help. Go and do whatever you did the last months while Sam took your place.” You sob.
“Baby, please. I’m sorry. It’s…I wasn’t ready to become a father. I never wanted to hurt you. I know I don’t deserve forgiveness but let me at least help you.”
“You don’t want to help me. The last months proved your intentions. Just let me be. I don’t need your help. I survived the last seven months without you. I don’t need your pity.”
“Please.”
----
Outside the bathroom, Claire is pacing around. Angrily looking at Jody and Sam she wants to burst through the door.
----
“What do you want? I already gave you all I had to give. I let you have what no other man ever got from me and you just stopped talking to me. Not a single word Dean! Do you know how that felt? How I felt? I didn’t know what to do! I was pregnant and scared but my best friend, the man I always told everything, just dropped me. You left me outside alone!” Starting to cry you feel dizzy.
Before you can slip to the floor two strong arms catch you. Holding you to his chest Dean gently strokes your back while he let some tears fall.
“I know I acted like an idiot but please let me help you.”
“Okay.” You whisper weakly.
“Let’s get you a warm shower and then I will tug you into your bed.”
“I need to change the sheets first…”
“Huh? Why?”
“I ate a burger in bed, and it slipped out of my hand…there’s food in my bed.”
“You are still clumsy…I see.” Chuckling Dean kicks his shoes off. Resting your back against the cool tiles you wait for Dean to get undressed.
Carefully helping you into the shower he presses his chest against your back. A soft sponge in his hand he uses your favorite shower gel to gently clean your body.
Taking his time, he roams your body with his hands and the sponge. One of his hand’s rests on your baby bump to stroke it.
A moan escapes your lips when he kisses your neck softly. Dean knows he crosses a line if he goes further but the need to touch you again is getting too strong.
“I’ve missed you. I missed my best friend.” He whispers in your ear.
“I wasn’t away.” You say pouting.
“Can we try to…I want to…please. I need you in my life. The last months were hell for me. I tried to keep my distance. Every time I saw you with Sam it killed me.”
“That was your decision, not mine or Sam’s. You ignored me not the other way around.”
“I know. I’m an idiot, what can I do?”
“Acting like an adult for example.” You mutter.
“Hmm…you’re still badass even with the huge bump.”
“I’m not that huge!”
“Oh, you are and so sexy.” Dean rasps and your pussy clenches around nothing.
“Don’t do that!”
“What?”
“Using your low voice to make me feel … uh…you know what I mean!”
“Wet? Are you wet for me, Baby? Please say ‘yes’ because I can’t stop myself from thinking about you moaning my name.”
“I told you not to do that!” You scold.
“Hmmm…” One hand snaking between your legs and the other wrapped around your breasts he starts stroking your clit and you start whimpering.
“Dean!” You warn but he doesn’t stop. Drawing slow circles around your swollen bud he plants soft kisses to your neck.
“I know you want me. I can feel it. Please…all I want is make it up to you. Let me show you I can be a better man for you and a father for our daughter.” Dean begs.
Two long digits toy with your entrance. When another moan leaves your lips he pushes them in. Stroking your walls, he groans against your ear. Lips pressed against your pulse point he grinds his hips against your ass.
“Dean…are you hard?”
“I can’t help myself.” He whispers.
-----
“Okay, we should go now,” Jody says face flushed.
“Why?” Claire wants to know.
“We should let them ‘talk’ some more,” Sam lies.
“What if she needs our help?”
“Claire, I don’t think she needs our help right now. Let’s get some food for her. We can see her later.” Jody says dragging Claire away from the bathroom door.
-----
“I think I’m…god…I…” Digging your nails into the arm holding you against his body you pulse around his fingers.
“Please let me feel you again. All I want is to feel you right now.”
“In here? Isn’t that…uh…complicated and dangerous?”
“I will hold you. I need to feel you. Please.”
“But don’t let me fall.”
“Never. I’m sorry for what I did. I swear I wasn’t with someone else. I just … I got no excuse for what I did to you…”
“Dean…we can stay in here forever,” you whisper.
“Impatient? Wait I’ll hold you Baby, promised.”
Removing his fingers from your cunt he holds you tight with on strong arm. Using his free hand, he guides his cock into your slick channel.
He takes his time. Slowly sinking into you he moans against your ear. Plump lips bruising your neck while he bottoms out. Hands wrapped around your body he rolls his hips against your butt.
“God you feel perfect. You are perfect.”
His thrusts are slow and even. Not rushing things he drags his cock against your walls. Tiny whimpers escape your lips when he hits the right spot.
“Dean…I’m close.”
“I know. Come for me. Baby, please come for me.” He whispers and you start shaking.
Toes already curling you close your eyes when Dean brushes over the secret spot again. Moaning his name you enjoy the wave of pleasure washing over you.
Holding you even tighter he pumps harder into you an odd noises leaves Dean’s mouth before he fills you with his cum.
“I have missed you, Baby. Let me clean you again and bring you to my room. We can rest a bit.”
“Hmm…Sam wanted to help me build the cradle.”
“No, he won’t, this is my baby. I will do it!”
“But he offered his help.”
“Mine…you are mine.” Dean rasps gently pulling out of you.
“Uh…”
“Sam can’t have you or my baby. Let me do this…”
-----
After drying you Dean insisted on bringing you to his room. When you lie onto his bed, wearing one of his flannel he’s finally satisfied.
“I’ll bring you some food. Then we rest and later I will build the cradle.”
“Okay.”
Leaving his room he storms into the kitchen. Stealing the food Jody and Claire bought he grins the whole time.
“Did you finally talk?” Claire asks.
“Yeah. She will move into my room and stay there.” Dean grunts into Sam’s direction.
“What about the cradle and stuff?” Sam asks.
“I’ll do that. She’s my girlfriend, this is my baby.” Dean warns.
Grabbing the two plates filled with food he walks back toward his room. When he’s out of sight Sam starts smiling to himself.
“Why are you smiling?” Claire asks.
“Well, my brother finally manned up.”
“What did you do, Samuel?” Jody asks.
“I sent him to the bathroom to bring me my shirt,” Sam chuckles and Jody nods.
-----
“Look at all the food!” Dean says smiling.
“Whoa…you even got pie!” You squeal.
“Let’s eat and then we can cuddle a bit. I want to hold my girlfriend.”
“Girlfriend?”
“Hmmm…later we build the cradle and then we can ahem…cuddle some more. I’m sorry for my behavior. I love you. Should’ve told you much earlier.”
Flushing red at Dean’s confession you smile at him. “I love you too. Now give me the pie!”
“But I want some pie too,” Dean pouts.
“We could share.”
“But I only share my pie with you…”

Higurashi When They Cry Part 7 - Ch 7 Minagoroshi-hen
Tumblr media
As I thought, Rika was trying her best to save every world that existed, she always tried her best and yet she could never succeed past the “curse” that would fall on whichever character. It must have been so tough for her to watch all this, to die all those times and to experience that failure to save everyone each time. I’m happy to say that I noticed all the rules for the worlds! Please praise me hahaha. I’m just sad that Rika’s mental life span after experiencing all this is shortening and she’s going to mix up stuff soon, I guess that’s why you can tell after each succeeding chapter that she is revealing more and more things for you to unravel what exactly is happening. Well, it seems like this is the last chance for them all to fix everything in two weeks! Seems like it might be the last chance for Hanyuu (Rika’s sister? Inner self?) to rewind everything with the rest of her powers~ How will it go, I wonder~
Hanyuu is SO CUTE! Honestly, it was so heartbreaking to see Rika so disappointed that Keiichi couldn’t remember what he did in the last world, she really wanted to believe in a miracle happening, yet they wouldn’t allow that. Rika still has hope, so I really don’t want those hopes of hers to be crushed. I want her to finally win against this cruel fate… Satoko has an incurable disease?! Why is the poor girl suffering so much?😭 How has Rika been doing the same thing over and over so many times? Sure, there’s variations, but it’s crazy to think that she has to react similarly to her first when it comes to stuff that has happened before. I guess it’s finally causing a toll on her… It couldn’t be helped that she didn’t react properly to Satoko… In a sense though, with how Rika’s mind is breaking from being unable to cope with death once again and living the same life again, and with the end coming sooner than usual, wouldn’t she be the “cursed” one this time around? The thing is, Rika is always talking about how it’s fate that they’ll play this game at the toy store with Mion and them, but she’s forgotten that she doesn’t have to go along with this fate. She’s become so numb to it that she’s forgotten that she’s Rika, she’s a person in this world as well, she’s not an overseer, she could have rejected playing that fish game, she could have asked to play another, there are so many choices for her but she’s forgotten that just as there are these “rules” that have forced her to live these 100 years endlessly, she is also in control of what she can do in this world. So, I’m really glad that even though Keiichi may not have the memories she wants him to have from the previous world, I’m glad he said that he wouldn’t go along with her “predictions of the future” and that he would change fate. Even if everything happens as she says it does and the owner would give them that specific game, Keiichi can reject it and get another for his group. I’m happy that Keiichi showed her that this world doesn’t have to repeat and be boring like she thinks it will be. So it was really nice to see Rika be inspired and want to change her fate again, without complaining that two weeks wasn’t enough to change it when Keiichi changed it so easily in 5 minutes. I liked her initiative in telling her group she didn’t want to play the fishing game. C'mon, you’re Rika! Of course they’ll go along with you on whatever game you want to play, they all love you hahaha. I’m not sure what the point was for the “choice” with Rika telling Keiichi to give the doll to Mion or hoping that he would, but I’m happy that either way, in this world, Keiichi knows who wants the doll the most and didn’t cave to embarrassment or anything, he literally gave the doll to Mion. I’m so happy for Mion. It’s such a simple thing but I’m sure Mion would be so happy. Is it true that Keiichi is growing as a person throughout the worlds without consciously knowing? I prefer the music and the result of when Rika doesn’t try to tell Keiichi though, because it surprises Rika and she thinks of it as a miracle, she just sounds more hopeful and I like that haha.
I would have loved to see Keiichi playing that pop up pirate game, it would have been awesome I bet! But, oh well, the idea that everyone wants him to be a part of the Watanagashi Planning Committee to host an auction for donated items sounds cool! It seems that Keiichi is starting to get mixed up with his previous memories unconsciously now… Was ohagi the food that made Keiichi doubt Mion and Rena in the first chapter? It probably was… The first chapter always saddens me… The sewing needle story must have been traumatising for him as a kid, no wonder why he overreacted in the first chapter, or maybe he was just so paranoid about them, he imagined the sewing needle in the ohagi huh? Regardless though, it was nice to see Keiichi have absolute confidence now that Mion would never do such a thing. It was so wonderful to hear that Rena and her Dad are redecorating their house with new furniture now that he’s got a new job! Everything seems to be going well with them now! I’m so happy that they’re moving forward together. I’m also so glad that Rena could actually tell them openly about her parents divorce, I think the fact that she did makes it sweet to see how much she has also learnt to trust her friends. I kinda believe that they all possess the memories of the previous worlds as well tbh. Ooh so Rena saw her previous world memories through a dream, I guess that means that subconsciously, they’re all changing because of what happened before, so really, Rika’s efforts weren’t for nothing! Things are changing for sure!! I never really thought about or realised that Tomitake and Takano were like a protection for Rika, and that the main reason why she can be killed later on is because she loses their protection after their deaths, so in order to save this world, she needs to save them. It was also saddening to hear that back then, she used to try her best to save her parents from death until the point she became apathetic towards it, I guess that’s why her mother thought of her as like a monster? If what’s causing Rika to die every time is someone’s strong will for her death, wouldn’t it be ironic if the one that’s killing her was herself/Hanyuu? The future is uncertain, but the cycles of life they repeat are certain and similar, what if there’s a part of her that actually is really scared of the future and actually would rather repeat all these worlds “safely” and repetitively, having fun with all her friends even if it’s momentary?
Lmao at Rika saying Takano should take photos inside the ritual storehouse if she paid her 10,000 yen and she really did hahaha. It’s also funny that Hanyuu was against it until she gave the money and could eat more desserts with it lol! Well, this Oyashiro-sama (i.e. Hanyuu apparently appears every couple of generations or something?) is very chill as long as there’s desserts! It’s kinda cute how Takano really would do anything just to see the storehouse, and it’s also kinda weird going into this storehouse with such “fun vibes” when it was so scary the last time Keiichi and them went inside… Does that mean the “stomping” they all heard in the other chapters was Hanyuu hearing Takano badmouth her and she got mad at that since she never wanted these torturing systems, it was all the people just using her name to conduct such atrocities? So…the curse of Oyashiro-sama really is a disease that causes hallucinating etc when it progresses to the higher levels, and Tomitake is involved with people in Tokyo that are giving Irie and Takano the budget to cure it? And they’ll protect Rika hopefully… But omg! Akasaka is here too?! And this time, he actually listened to Rika and went back to his wife in the middle of his work so his wife and child are still alive! I’m so happy for them! Rika really is working in a world where all her efforts are bearing fruit! I guess you really can’t blame Rika for giving up when Satoko’s uncle came back. She’s tried so many things before in these 100 years and they never worked out after all… It was just saddening to see Shion acting like Keiichi back then when he murdered the uncle… Everyone cares for Satoko…but murder won’t solve anything because Satoko will just continue to blame herself even more… Sigh…
I love how they’re slowly progressing on how to help Satoko and are gathering people to the child consultation centre to kinda have like a peaceful mass protest. It was hilarious when Keiichi tried to get Kameda (the friend from the baseball game), and he described Satoko’s charm as a tsundere but when flipped, will be deredere lolll, and then when he said Satoko is just like the first and last half of Higurashi’s plot itself hahahaha, he’s so right😆😆 I must admit, Keiichi’s passionate speech about 2D and 3D girls was great, it was so easy to change Kameda’s mind hahaha. I love their friendship lmao. HAHAHA, I loved it when they said they needed more people than just Kameda’s baseball team and then he just shouts out to his comrades in Angel Mort (the cafe) who all love moe and 2D of the like, everyone is so funny but united in such weird ways, but I love it hahaha. I like how friendly Ooishi and Keiichi are, they bond over such silly things, it was also nice of him to give his warning/advice about the Satoko situation and how the child consultation centre is viewing everything. I knew Keiichi wouldn’t back down regardless but it was nice to see his resolve like that. I’m also really happy to see that everyone in Hinamizawa can be so united in a good way rather than the intimidating way it always was in the previous chapters. Also glad that Rika has finally realised that although it’s true that they can’t help Satoko as much as they want to unless she requests for the help herself, Rika herself has not been cooperative either. She’s merely watched over what Keiichi and everyone has done like a bystander when really she should be in this story as well! She can’t change her world to be what she wants if she doesn’t take an active role as well. Just as Satoko needs to realise that she needs to seek help from the others, Rika also needs to understand that if she can’t do it, she must rely on the others as well.
Although I do feel like Keiichi’s talk with the oldies and Oryou (Mion’s grandmother) was rather “easy” and smooth considering how everyone was once so adamant on thinking the curse would kill them or whatever for doing anything like this, or maybe because Tomitake and Takano haven’t died yet so they’re a bit more chill? Nah, I dunno, but I did feel like it was rather smooth sailing, but I guess in a sense, everyone wanted to drop the negativity towards Satoko just because she was a Houjou, so they really just needed someone brave enough like Keiichi to say that out in the open and make them change their stubbornness on the surface, they all already knew that they didn’t want to continue isolating her, they just needed a push from someone else. I always love Rena in these situations though, I feel like she doesn’t say much but what she says is always critical and to the point, and that’s why I think she’s a great match for Keiichi. Also love and think that she was one of the only ones that could really tell that Oryou wasn’t angry at Keiichi at all when he confronted her, she just had to don that aggressively angry persona to keep up with appearances as the Sonozaki family head. Not surprised that the child consultation centre isn’t gonna yield just because there’s a lot of outside pressure though. But I do think it’s about time they bother doing something like a reassessment rather than try and check the power balances between the village heads etc, like can you focus on the children? I don’t blame the centre for being busy and overwhelmed with such cases, and that the things our main characters are doing are merely putting pressure on them rather than providing proper evidence, but at the same time I want to cheer for our main characters for doing so many things just because they want to help their friend, and hope for the centre to finally understand that if so many people are willing to take their time out to protest about something, they should really learn more about this supposed guardian of Satoko’s, especially with his dodgy background and everything and the fact that so many people are witnesses of his atrocities last year and right now. And after all, I really do like Hinamizawa’s motto where if one person is hurt or whatever then two people should rise up and protect them and if there’s too many, then the whole village should, I think that sense of unity in Hinamizawa is its charm and I like it.
I’m happy that Rika was finally able to get through to Satoko. She’s right, Satoko is still the same as she was last year, enduring abuse and waiting to be saved. If she truly wants her brother to acknowledge her and come back, she needs to stand up for herself, especially when so many others are offering their hands to her, so I’m glad that Satoko has finally decided to face what Satoshi faced in order to protect her. I’m soooo disappointed that it’s the festival and we didn’t even get to see Keiichi actually host the auction! I’m so sad😭😭 I’m so sad that they cut all those slice of life moments (with summaries), they’re what really make Higurashi what it is as well! So it feels really incomplete without it… *Super spoilers from here on* I’m not surprised Takano was the one who killed Tomitake by injecting that disease into him, and I’m not surprised she faked her own death. She’s crazy enough to want the curse to be true and continue on like this. I’m not sure what they want to achieve though…like destroy Hinamizawa with this disease? Does she think of herself as part of the Demons and needing to cleanse Hinamizawa by killing everyone? Does she want Hinamizawa to live as some kind of legend without physical presence? How did this disease even come to be, and why does no one in Hinamizawa know about it when it’s something most apparent in their village? Btw I feel sorry for Tomitake. I still don’t trust Hanyuu though, I still think she just wants to live happily here with Rika forever repeating this same life however many times rather than going past June. I feel that since there are circumstances where she can be heard e.g. the stomping, she definitely is suspicious! I’m sorry Hanyuu if I’m wrong hahahah.
I’m glad that Rika finally found the courage within her to tell Keiichi and them everything, especially when she knows that she’s gonna die that night. Just wondering though, if villagers who leave Hinamizawa get sick quickly after and this is proportional to the distance from the village, what about Rena’s mum? So if “Tokyo”, the organisation trying to use the Hinamizawa Syndrome like a military weapon is Takano and them, then does that mean the reason Hinamizawa kinda gets destroyed later on is because they experimented on Hinamizawa to see how much damage they could cause on a community? Not sure I really get Rika being the “queen” idea but it seems that maybe the village is always destroyed in the end because Rika is killed and when she’s dead, the disease somehow spreads rapidly and makes everyone have that persecution complex to kill each other? I wonder if it’s really wise for the Mountain Dogs (secret military unit that Takano is a part of and is a part of Tokyo) to just kill Ooishi and Kuma like that, they’re policemen, it’ll definitely be investigated properly if policemen are killed.
Anyway, I’m not surprised everything ended the way it did considering how ill prepared they were to take on Takano and them, but I agree with Rika, it’s sad that everything ended the way it did, but the amount of progress that happened in this world was unfathomable and definitely hope for next time to be better and to be possible for them all to survive. Although I wasn’t fond of all the fourth wall kinda stuff talking to the reader and how they could talk to each other even though they died, I did enjoy the fact that they finally could touch Hanyuu and make her believe that there is hope, and that she shouldn’t be so passive like a bystander anymore, just like Rika, she needs to be a part of this story for it all to work as well. I think that was nice. Honestly, it does feel rather ridiculous and rushed for them to so easily agree to killing so many people that probably will exert these “terminal symptoms” when they just found out about this disease itself and what destruction it can cause, no one has even really shown the effects of it after losing the “queen” yet. And they let the villagers bring their bank books and cash? They trying to rob them while they’re at it? I don’t see how after all this that the Sonozaki family that is in Okinomiya wouldn’t react suspiciously to this “gas leak” considering how many of them there are and how powerful they are too. And Takano is ruthless and crazy as usual but for some reason I can’t really feel for her craziness? Like, I don’t know if it’s because things ended so fast or because I just don’t find it interesting that it makes me feel like this?
Overall, I think for once, I’m actually disappointed in the chapter! Lol! I feel so bad that I feel like that because maybe it’s because of my high expectations and how long I had to wait for this chapter to come out rather than the issue of the story itself. I’ll still try and talk about what I feel though. Another reason I might be quite sad is that I kinda missed the formula of Higurashi in the previous chapters, like, I always enjoy the slice of life games before the actual story and not getting that in this chapter made me a bit sad. I also felt that a lot of Rika’s thoughts were repetitive, like too repetitive, it’s kinda like when I’m reading To Aru Majutsu no Index and a lot of the time, the author likes to reiterate a lot of things for effect but it’s a bit too overused and it felt like that with Rika and Hanyuu. We knew how they felt and how much despair they felt having to relive all this so many times, so I thought it was unnecessary to keep mentioning it with the same words, I think if the despair could have been put in more different words or in a different way to show her feelings, it would have hit me more than just the idea that Rika is devastated and can’t find it in herself to move on or give up entirely. I’m also not a fan of stories breaking the fourth wall really, so the beginning of the chapter where it kinda “talks” to the reader felt a bit surprisingly unconnected to me, it kinda made the story of Higurashi feel a bit more detached to me, and it made me feel like a true “outsider”. I always read the story and engaged with the mystery as like a part of it in a sense where like a lot of the staff room rolls, you would think alongside the characters on how the story would unfold, and yet that beginning made me feel pushed out of wanting to find out the mystery of everything with them all. I also didn’t like how a lot of things were explained and told to you such as the summaries of what happened and the origins of the disease, rather than being shown through the characters and their stories. I liked the extra exposition and background of it, but I think that could have been done as a tip rather than as a part of the story. I guess my biggest complaint is just that as Ryukishi07 wanted, this was really an answer to everything in the sense like it was an answer key. You flip to the last page and it gives you the answers but doesn’t really show it to you in a way where you discover it along the way kinda feel, it’s literally just an answer. I enjoyed the previous answer arcs because you kinda go step by step into being enlightened to more things that happened from another perspective and I guess I expected that instead. I guess I also wasn’t a fan of the motives and how everything played out with Takano and their organisation, this is mostly my problem though, I just didn’t enjoy it being what it was?
However, I did still enjoy the chapter. I thought it was really nice to see how everything could be resolved for Satoko’s situation. I didn’t agree with everything that happened and how it was done all the time, in terms of the story and the characters’ actions but I really did enjoy the sense of unity from everyone. It really felt like a culmination of all the hard work in the other chapters, it really felt like everything was done to achieve all this and make these miracles really happen. It made me believe in them strongly as well haha. Rika’s monologues were repetitive but it really reflected how much she had suffered and how apathetic she was forced to become, so it was nice to see Keiichi break all that. Basically, I guess I am satisfied and dissatisfied with everything at the same time hahaha. I hope the next chapter comes out soon though… I mean, however everything ends up being resolved, I’d still love Higurashi just as much though. I’ve always been a person who loves stories for the journey rather than the ending, and I always appreciate the journey much more no matter what, but yeah, I still hope I’ll like this last chapter of the main arc much more than this one haha.
