Going to break into your house with pots and pans and yell at you until you reframe your thinking of productivity to include more than just schoolwork or a salary or chores and the like.

You aren’t ALWAYS going to be able to have the energy to do what we consider traditionally productive. You won’t always have the motivation.

Yeah, maybe you could have spent two hours studying for that test instead of 15 minutes. Maybe you could have cleaned the kitchen instead of the dishes. And? That’s still something!

Productivity is doing things!! Did you eat food and drink water? You did something that helped your body work! Doodled in class? You made art! Even just posting theories and memes on tumblr dot com is a thing! You thought out the post, figured out how to organize it (even if you don’t realize you did that) and you made it! And now other people can see and you DID something and you should be proud!!!

Be proud of yourself or I am going to show up outside your window tonight and scream positive affirmations louder than a cat who has just discovered her food bowl is empty.

Something about Roman telling Kendall that he fucked it in 3.09 diffusing the tension, and Kendall telling Roman he fucked it in 4.09 as adding to it, something about Kendall finding a type of release in failure because at least it means he tried vs Roman finding a condemnation in failure because it means he tried and it wasn't enough.

#it's a really interesting parallel because i think kendall does think it'll work for roman the same way it works for him #he just fails to read roman in the moment of it in the way that roman can usually read him #but then kendall's generally not as good at reading people as roman is #which is a part of what makes their dynamic so interesting #especially as he really articulates in his eulogy that he views force + being able to push forwards regardless as the outcome as his #father's power #whereas i don't think that's the way roman sees it as all #now i'm thinking about the different ways they saw their father all over again #succession 4.09 #succession spoilers #hbo succession #kendall roy #roman roy #kendall _+ roman

thinking about 4halo again and dying

they just. they used to be so sweet together. and then the election arc managed to genuinely turn them against each other (and bad is still affected by being caged in the museum) and i would NOT have been surprised if a rebellion had started within the next few weeks after their last fight and. they used to be friends and then they almost destroyed each other

and then the eggs went missing

and there are so many parallels between them, but one of the biggest parallels is how they're both protectors. they both protected the eggs (and, when he became president, forever extended that protection to the other islanders) but the eggs went missing and they had to put all of that aside. Forever was quicker to put it down than Bad was (it felt like only a very temporary truce, from Bad's end), but they put their problems on hold, because their eggs. were gone.

and another parallel. the destruction. both of them with their plans to cause ruin because then, maybe, theyll get their kids back. bad caused most of the grieving arc damage directly, and got aypierre and antoine to help him. he dug holes in the ground. he placed mines everywhere and leapt into them. he started the lavacasting process of the fed building (and was interrupted by admins, so he stopped, but philza and fit were still right to laugh at him lmaoo). he drilled a hole through the side of the federation office from a huge distance away. he has chosen to hurt his friends and himself to get the eggs back. whatever the cost.

forever destroyed the island. or he planned to destroy the island. or he was interrupted just before he destroyed the island or or or. I don't know. but it was big, and it was bad. bad enough that the feds had to step in and forcefully drug him, and kickstart the happy pills arc.

and the happy pills arc..... oughghghgh as fucking awful as it was for their characters to experience i genuinely truly think that it saved them from each other. when he was first told about forever being fucked up bad was still in the "i need to kick his butt" mindset, and was all ready for an excuse to kill forever. and then he saw forever. and the first proposal happened. and bad was angry and he was sad and upset and he was careful. forever tried to kill him. bad decided to save him. forever kept trying to marry him. forever kept taking the pills. forever was so scared of his own anger and all of the damage he could and would have caused to his family that he kept taking drugs that kept him so out of his mind he hallucinated his son was just sleeping safely at his house.

and they both tried to kill each other. and they both failed.

and bad showed phil and cellbit (and tubbo) the item scanner that dapper discovered, which could destroy him, because nothing else was working. because they needed to save forever. because bad was reminded by then that forever was a victim of the federation instead of just a mouthpiece for it. and then when forever woke up he saw bad, suffering, and so excited to see him awake.

and now they're here on opposite sides again with forever projecting his protection urges onto the fed worker in bad's basement and bad frustrated that he isn't being believed and his evil plans of giving ron lemons apology brownies is being interrupted and. look at them. soft "i hate you" and the appreciation room and bad's quiet heartbreak when he learned about forever being missing and the "i miss you" book bad got mad at because it asked him not to torture fed workers. does anyone hear me im so ill about them. do you understand they care about each other so much and the happy pills arc reminded them of that. forever realized bad is colourblind and bad assumed forever was poisoning him and then forever helped bad cheat on another colourblindness test and forever was giving bad flowers and bad was accepting them and accepted that he was colourblind despite his previously constant denial and! i don't know if im being comprehensible and i dont really care i will be honest i just need you to know i am frothing at the mouth like a rabid little beast. they are a TRAGEDY of miscommunication and external pressure but they love so so much. platonic or romantic or qpp they CARE and it tears me to shreds

you guys I am losing it over Suzanne and the way she just flawlessly parallels EVERYTHING in TBoSaS to the original Hunger Games. i just.. all the little nuances and foreshadowing that Snow is so oblivious to. he's just thinking things guys, he has no clue of the bigger picture. but we do!!! ahhhh!!!!!!

Don't ask Simon how he became a pack alpha, he was perfectly fine just being a lone wolf and letting his bloodline die. He has no idea how he somehow gained seven (possibly more) others and somehow gained pack instincts. He did not ask for this! Now he knows why Anthony complained so much about his seven(+) hellions whose life missions are to stress him out.

Thank god for his bestie Kate who helps them keep their pack in line, at least when she's not busy growling at some lord who caused offense against their pack. He wished she stopped doing that. Even minor things she'll growl.

He and Kate both being alphas has also really helped when they're trying to wrangle their different pack memebers.

Then there's sweet reliable Sophie. The softer side to Kate's hard edge. On her own she might one of Simon's favorites. Her strong set of moral rules definitely keeps her in the top three. Her bestie on the other hand . . .

Michael deserves half a book from the stress he creates for Simon with his merry rake ways. Simon isn't even sure how they got Michael. He just randomly showed up one day after retiring from the military and never left. Despite that he is loyal to the pack and is always there for them if needed and vis versa.

Sophie being a beta isn't all that affected much with Michael's strong pheromones. Michael is grateful for that and he doesn't have to worry all that much about overwhelming Sophie should he accidentally slip on his control or forget to wear a perfume that helps dull his pheromones.

The other half of that stress book goes to Penelope. Usually a shy wallflower who loves writing, pray you never fall to her sharp tongue and observant eyes, nor ever see her bored. That's when she goes commit crimes and do shady business deals on the black market. He's seen her make a man cry with only a few words.

Penelope's best friend in the pack is Phillip. The pack jokes it's because Penelope is a wallflower and Phillip is a botanist that they get along so well. Simon does wonder if there is some truth to it though because Phillip rather be among the plants than around people. Michael calls Phillip a silent alpha. Well until you get him talking about plants.

Simon has watched Phillip fact check Penelope's stories when it comes to plants. Both claiming that that one poison scene must be accurate to what the berries do to the body. Also, Simon can make sure Penelope is okay when she goes commit crimes if Phillip is there with her. Them both being constantly mistaken for as betas instead of an alpha and omega respectively does help in this fact as well.

Then there is the babies of the pack, Gareth and Lucy. Actually now that Simon thinks about it this whole pack thing may have started when his godmother, Lady Danbury, threw her grandson Gareth at him and told him that he's Simon's responsibility now. Simon saw too much of himself in Gareth, a boy with a hunger and something to prove, he couldn't say no.

Then there's little Lucy, sweet Lucy who is always trying to make everyone happy. Simon and Kate are working on making her a little more selfish in that she'll thing for her happiness for a change.

#(so i could come back to it later and think of an art idea)#SORRY i need to talk about stuff because aaaaa. ill make a side blog at some point i promise #i know the obvious parallel is ch2 and ch25 when yashiro was crying #especially if you look at it from doumeki's perspective with all his guilt and fear of becoming like his father #but if you shift the perspective to aoi and yashiro then these two work as well #both of them are so resigned to their suffering at this point and don't expect any help but doumeki shows up anyway #even if it was pure chance with aoi he still “saved” her and she tells him that she's able to do what she loves now because of him #and doumeki obviously couldn't have done anything to help yashiro when he was a child. but at least he saved him from hirata #which isn't even about hirata as a person #it's about hirata as this walking manifestation of violent homophobia and a way for yashiro to go through with his suicidal ideations #also. doumeki going to jail for 4 years in aoi's case and him being “forgotten” for 4 years in yashiro's.#he didn't even get to hear yashiro's “you saved me” because he was unconcious. and with aoi he was so focused on his guilt #that he probably didn't think about it this way either. no wonder “your sister was lucky she had you” made him cry #and no wonder he's so bitter and hurt post-time skip #oh doumeki chikara you sure are one of the characters ever (affectionate AND derogatory)

I can't believe they made Blade ask with a broken voice why is it only abominations that come back over and over again. Blade, who can't die, who comes back to life again and again

#His desire for death gets a double sense in this context I think #I also really liked the parallel between him and Jingliu this draws #and of course the parallel between him and the abominations of Abundance #In this context‚ the fact that set of relics works so well on him gains layers too‚ enhancing the similarity and identification #I also liked the contrast Blade drew between the abominations of Abundance returning and Baiheng remaining ashes #Especially given the past of little Yingxing #And I love how all that works in the context of Blade's own immortality #Again‚ I think his desire for death becomes even more complex in this context #Goodness I love him so much #This was heartbreaking to watch. I didn't expect to care this much #Fragments and scraps #I talk too much #Blade #I feel like I could talk about this character for hours #I feel like I could break the world in two with a scream that were no sound and resembled more the vibration of a heart beating once #I feel like I am breaking in two #What I mean is that I hear a melody that can't be heard and the melody is this story beating in my blood #If I were to get a paper cut the story more than my blood would stain the paper #If I were to hold my finger to my tongue and lick the blood‚ it would be the story I'd drink

If you've ever wondered just what the hell I was doing with the fics I was putting out and this timeline I kept talking about, this is what I meant lol

It's actually got quite a few more characters listed out to the right but for the sake of relevancy and size I just kept the first few columns.

The notes are either specific key events or (italicized) published fics. I started making this into an actual timeline sheet just a bit before I dropped out of the fandom entirely so I haven't been able to flesh it out as much as I like, but now that I feel like getting back into stuff I'm sure it will populate pretty quickly lol

Color meanings (majorly as relevant to Techno and his pov):

Maroon - Living in the Nether

Soft Green - Traveling with Phil

Yellow - Living in Hypixel

Blue - SMPE and the Antarctic Empire

Neon Green - DSMP

Red - If an MCM was held that year; If the character participated in an MCM that year

Black - Character is not yet born or is dead

I wrote this in the comments of this fic and I wanted to save it here because I still agree with it more than one year later:

I have complex thoughts on (general) fandom's insistence on the 'found family' trope; on the one hand I like it [too] but on the other the endings of DS9 (sort of intentionally) and Voyager (probably unintentionally) ask us, I think, to consider what happens when such a tight bond between people starts breaking down. In a way it is the entirety of Ezri's story: how can you go back to how things were before your life irrevocably changed? You quite simply can't, but that doesn't mean that there won't be other places, other people, other connections, other relationships. I think it's particularly important for me that both Seven and Ezri, people for whom change often has been 'horribly traumatic and irreversible stuff happening to them', get to have that kind of hopeful outlook.

#I think Ezri's experience parallels so well the Voyager's crew's #especially after their return to earth #I think she would be uniquely qualified to understand them but #I don't exactly want her to be their therapist either #mostly because I maintain it's not what she wants to do anymore #but I still want her to meet everyone and go #'oh you guys really are going through it. i kinda get it tho. i had to go back to my crew after i died or i would've not survived'#ezri has been there. has tried to go back to what once was with her old friends #and didn't quite work out. she would gently explain that to the voyager people i think #especially seven for whom this is a new and painful aspect of living socially #voy #ezri dax

eurydice as the material manifestation of persephone's guilt, of her love of humanity, of exactly why she Must return to the world above every year ('suddenly i'm holding the world in my arms').

persephone knowing the 'all i've ever known' pov all too well bc if that ain't hades.
