Ramble about kyonile and kyohyotsu

OURGHH MAN WHERE DO I EVEN START

kyonile make me SICK to my fucking stomach bc of how perfect they are for each other. I rlly do not draw them enough anymore and that is a crime bc I love them so much. I feel like a broken record the way I talk about the same things with them every time BUT ITS BC THOSE THINGS ARE THE THINGS THAT KEEP ME INSANE. it’s the way they instantly get along with each other and match each others energies so well. the way nile so quickly earns Kyoya’s respect and how quickly Kyoya opens up to him. the fact that Nile is so instantly able to understand the way Kyoya works and what goes on in his head better than like anyone else. Their mutual respect for each other and the fact that they can bounce off of each other so well and that their relationship is completely equal at all times is so important to me. both of them are so in tune with each other and hold so much pride and respect for the other they make me insane. I actually really like that they don’t really ever bicker or get into arguments bc it’s really just a testament to how well they know each other and mesh with each other. I like to think that Kyoya is far more willing to listen to Nile than anyone else, even if Nile says the same things as someone else. Like, if anyone else were to tell Kyoya to settle down or smth he would snap so hard at them, but if Nile were to, he might actually consider it. On Nile’s end, I like to think he’s like, a walking Kyoya translator. If Kyoya does some really wack aloof thing that makes someone pissed off and/or confused, Nile’s the first guy to be like “ah no that’s actually just his way of showing gratitude. yeah he’s just like that sometimes.” Whenever I think about them in a romantic light, I always like to think that their relationship would go exactly the same way as their friendship. Just an instant, mutual understanding that doesn’t need to be spoken out loud to be understood. I hc kyoya as not being really open to physically affection most of the time but out of all his partners, Nile’s the one he feels the most comfortable being affectionate with. It just feels so easy and natural when they’re together, it’s nice. When he’s not doing that though, he tends to be a lot more abstract and beat around the bush a lot when he’s trying to show his love and that just kinda makes Nile smile and laugh at him for being stupid. Overall, they’re nice I like them a lot <3

AND KYOHYOTSU. OURGHHHHHH KYOHYOTSU 💞💞💞💞💞

Literally the biggest brain ship I’ve ever thought of I was a genius for that. Their dynamic is so special to me I just I just I just. There’s so much to it man. Initially it started focused on Kyoya’s dynamic with the other two. Tsubasa and Kyoya are just. like. so fucking gay man. they make my brain hurt. The way their relationship starts with animosity and conflict and how it develops just drives me so wild. A lot of Tsubasa’s conflict in fusion with other characters comes from how focused he is on his mission and how much tunnel vision that ends up giving him. His seriousness develops into a kind of closed-off-ness and self isolation that makes him so hesitant to build genuine connections with others, but at the same time he cares so much for the safety and well being of others, though goes about showing it in very cryptic ways. Kyoya meanwhile, is very straightforward and all guns blazing when it comes to a lot of things and he never hesitates to show his drive, and that contrast is what makes their conflict in battle bladers so interesting to me. Tsubasa tries so hard to try and take a kind moral high ground(??) for lack of a better term, and Kyoya just absolutely is not having any of it. Despite his aggression towards Tsubasa in that moment, he’s very clearly fueled by his intense, burning passion and his drive, and that just lights a spark in Tsubasa. Kyoya is what completely changes Tsubasa’s perspective on beyblade and what ends up lighting a greater fire and passion in him that very clearly changes Tsubasa and opens him up more and it’s so important. The way that Tsubasa ends up gaining Kyoya’s respect afterwards by showing that change and how their relationship feels so much tighter because of it is so good. The way Tsubasa teases Kyoya and the way Kyoya stands by Tsubasa’s side and openly shows his support for him is just so pivotal and shows just how quickly their relationship has grown. They’re so different yet exactly the same and both of them being out so much in each other that is so important for both of them. Their rivalry and interactions bring out so much in each other and is clearly a positive driving force for them both which continues to be shown afterwards and their connection means so much to me. Their romantic dynamic has so much potential to be both incredibly sweet and endearing and extremely fucking stupid. They’re both dorks and losers who bring out the best in each other and ignite each others competitive spark which really is like the pinnacle of romance in beyblade terms but also that connection is just so. aurgh. aurghhhh <3333. Them supporting each other and taking care of each other in their own own cryptic ways is such a sweet dynamic and the ways they care about each other is just so important. I think they would have their moments of grinding each others gears, which I think just comes when they’re similar in the specific ways they are, but in the end they really do just care about each other so much. I really like to think that their relationship is built on a lot of wordless and indirect affection, both of them I think would show their love a lot more thru actions than anything else, and the little things they do for each other just instantly make sense to the other when they happen. It’s their own little way of communicating that only works because it’s these two specifically.

Kyohyo on the other hand make me want to throw both of them against the wall. THEY ARE SOOOOOOO SILLY AND STUPID AND DUMB AND LAME I HATE THEM SO MUCH 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶 Honestly i started thinking about them so much bc they’re just so funny together. Both of them are so jealous of each other at first bc of both of their relationships with Gingka and it’s so funny the way they’re both like seething silently with rage. Tbh all of this is making me want to rewatch fusion bc it’s been a minute and I need to reinject them into my veins. Them going from hating each other at first to whatever the hell they’ve got going on afterwards is really entertaining to me and I care about them deeply. I think it’s really fun to look at it from Hyoma’s perspective specifically bc I feel like even tho he was hiding it with a lot of his weirdoness, he was very clearly very jealous but despite that, he still ends up bonding and growing closer with the main gang and being good friends with them, and so his aggression towards Kyoya quickly growing into endearment and affection and how he would end up reacting to that development is really interesting. Then on Kyoya’s part, I can just imagine the confusion when Hyoma starts being friendlier and more affectionate and he is just not at all prepared for it. In general i love the potential dynamic of them still occasionally lightheartedly beefing with each other and Hyoma being able to confuse and fluster Kyoya in a way no one else can.

My love of both of these ships is what initially made me think “but what if all three of them held hands” and it only got worse from there. They also ended up making me love hyotsu a lot bc I didn’t initially realize how good they are together. There’s kind of an angsty aspect to it with them both being such uniquely lonely characters who tend to hide what they’re really thinking, but I think that could really bring them together. I really like to think of them specifically as a really sweet and affectionate duo. I think of Tsubasa as someone who craves affection but doesn’t know how to go about receiving it, while Hyoma has so much love in his heart that he needs to share, and that combined makes them very sweet to each other. I think that can kinda go a lot for the trio in general, where Hyoma is usually the one initiating and Tsubasa and Kyoya go about receiving that in their own kinds of ways. There’s a lot of ways you can take their dynamic and I really love that about them. One thing that I really enjoy is that, despite the fact that I do love overly affectionate and sappy relationships in shipping, I also think when you have characters like these guys it’s interesting to explore the alternative ways they would experience romance bc I don’t think it’d be like that all the time. I really like doing this with Kyoya specifically, bc he’s definitely not one to show his affection openly and I think he would need his space a lot, but thinking about the alternative ways he can show he cares without being super openly affectionate is really nice. I think one of the biggest things for him would just be accompanying his partners in different ways. I’ve kinda mentioned these before but little things like walking with them when they have to go run errands and things, staying nearby while they’re cuddling even if he’s not in the mood for it himself, little encouraging comments and observations, just a bunch of different things that while not super obvious, are important shows of affection coming from Kyoya. Another angle I really like to take with these three is a kind of hurt/comfort focusing on Hyoma and his loneliness, and how they both amplify and quell that. I’ve written a fic about this concept that I’m still actually pretty proud of (cough cough shameless promo) and it’s just an idea I’ve thought about a lot. The loneliness part kinda just comes free with Hyoma’s character but taking it in the angle of him in a relationship, i just think it’s really interesting thinking about how much love he has for his partners and how much time he wants to spend with them that he often can’t because of how much they’re separated. Him constantly being tied to Koma while they can never be tied down at all creates a long distance relationship that just is constantly highlighting how isolated he tends to be sometimes. Though they combat this by visiting as much as they can, and every available moment, both of them make sure to love him and reassure him that they’re there for him and that they always will be and support him as much as they can and that’s just is something I think he would really need. I love all of them so dearly and they make me so incredibly sick with how cute they are together. Thank u for giving me this opportunity to be insane <3

anyway I think that the reason Kyosaya is so good as a ship is not only is it enemies to lovers but it's ALSO a case of them recognizing themselves in the other and forming an incredibly deep connection w each other w/o even necessarily realizing it

this fic is GREAT, it's quite long so the slow-burn is to die for, the writing style is great and it has stupid fluffy moments, canon-centric and zosan not being very ooc which i personally love, and it includes a link in-story with rlly cute illustrations by huanghying on twitter!

i personally love sanji-centric zosan fics, and the world-building and character-development/analysis in this fic is *fat chefs kiss*, the ending almost had me sobbing but it's really such a good fic

another sanji-centered, and it's really fluffy. zoro making the first move and leaving sanji to scramble with his feelings is just a trope that I will never get tired of when it comes to these two, especially with how the writer depicted zoro to be the perfect balance of soft with sanji and a marimo-stupidface *happy sigh*

“Sanji knows he and Zoro would be a bad idea, in fact he's written an entire list of reasons why they would be a bad idea. Of course, the marimo won't hear of it. He wants Sanji to give him a chance. So Sanji is just going to have to prove him wrong, right?”

the latest one i read and it does NOT disappoint, 10/10, so depressing, the brooke-center in this piece is something I really dig, it gives a new perspective in terms of how zosan's relationship can be written and perceived. this fic I think can be seen as either romantic or platonic between them but it shows just how deeply connected they are, how much they respect each other, it depicts their relationship so great, potential chapter 1031 spoilers !!!

THIS FIC IS SO DAMN GOOD

i personally love timeskip fics and this one checks all my boxes and BEYOND!!!!!! plus, the perona feature is something wbk I like because perona is my queen and moon and stars

but seriously, this fic is so well-written and the satisfying little twist in the end just made it that much better to read. left me happy and smiling, 10/10 fic

I don’t think you understand how disappointed I am that this fic has not been updated since 2015, genuinely such a shame because it’s so good. the writing, the world-building, the characterization, the dynamics between each strawhat, it’s so unbelievably amazingly written. why is zoro so mean to sanji in this :(( 

there is side sanuso which i love!! and nami and usopp’s friendship!!! and usopp and franky’s!!! and frobin!!! and zolu!!! keep in mind, the romantic aspect is all zosan, but this fic delves into other dynamics which are written crazy good, like seriously something I’ve never seen before, it’s so good AAAAAAAAAA i can’t bro, this fic is honestly like none other i’ve ever read, it’s so amazing and original and it lives restlessly in my head.

I remember being an hour early to work and sitting in the backroom feeling completely empty after finishing it. it’s so good but I am warning you, reading this fic comes at a cost since it will most likely never finish and you’ll be left with an empty hole in your heart over it </3

this one was so close to making the top 5 because JEEZ what a fic, i remember stalking the writer's page every three days waiting for an update and the ending was sO GOOD!! the worldbuilding is so great, which makes so much of the fic but the zosan part is *GASP* so good

the worldbuilding, the writing style, the plot and smut is all *chefs kiss*

A/N: AAAAAAAA this was a request for @notabotiswear!! I hope you guys all like it, this is my first Din smut and I was rlly nervous bc uh Din smut is obviously something big in this fandom and I wasn’t sure if I’d characterize it properly. but here we are!

You don’t know what Din looks like under his helmet, but you think he must be smirking. There’s no way the man wouldn’t be, not with the words he just said to you.

You’ve been travelling with Din and his little green son for a while now. You’d brought everything good to the beskar man’s life the moment you met. You made him eat more, drink more water. The presence of another human on the ship encouraged Din to bathe more and to keep the ship tidier. All in all, things had massively improved when you entered Din Djarin’s life.

One specific perk brought relief: you were extremely in touch with The Force. So was the tiny little green bean. From you, Din had finally learned his son’s name. He didn’t really like the way Grogu rolled off the tongue, however, so he generally stuck to calling him what he had before. Your ability to communicate with Grogu made things like bedtime and baths much easier, and everything went smoother.

Yes, you were a Force user. Ever since you were a child, you’d had a special sensitivity to that force that flowed all around you. Even though Din was not aware of The Force, nor was he able to use it or speak with it, the energy of The Force made the man practically glow. You understood why Grogu liked him so much. The man radiated it, warm energy that seemed unnatural for a bounty hunter. Once you got to know him, it all made sense. His aura was indescribable, really, but it was fitting. He was a good man at his core. He was kind and even funny sometimes.

Let’s return to the present: Din Djarin just pulled a cheesy pickup line on you, and it made you stare at him with an expression of sheer confusion, even though you could feel your cheeks warm from his words. “What the fuck did you just say to me?” You ask, placing your hands on your hips.

He looks up at you and cocks his head to the side. “I said that I may not be able to feel the Force, but I wish I could feel you.”

Your mouth hangs open, trying to press down a giggle that rises in your throat. “Din, what the fuck?” You finally laugh, grinning. “That’s the worst pickup line I’ve ever heard. No wonder you’re single,” you shake your head. “Where is this coming from?”

Din’s last reserve has broken. He’s been planning this for days, planning the way he’d finally tell you everything he thinks. “Just… I wasn’t listening to you at all. Was looking at your face. You’re gorgeous, you know that?” He asks you, the black T-visor staring you down.

You frown as you see your own reflection in the shining beskar. “I wish I could say the same about you,” you tease and tap your fingers on the metal helmet he wears. “What do you look like under there? Can you tell me?”

“Why, so you can make fun of it?” Din rolls his eyes.

“No, so I can finally put a face to the man I think about at night,” you tease, leaning in closer. It’s instinctual, like you’re leaning in so he can kiss you. He obviously can’t, not with that damn helmet on his head that you know isn’t coming off any time soon.

Din’s breath catches in his throat. “Oh come on,” you smirk at him. “Two can play at that game, Din. What do you look like?” You ask, tracing your fingers across the indents of his helmet and down to his neck. “Can I see your skin?” You ask in a low, quiet voice.

Din nods. You pull the neck of his clothing down to reveal a patch of gorgeous, caramelly skin. “Oh,” you mumble before you can stop yourself. “I bet you have brown eyes, don’t you? With brown hair too, since your skin is this dark. Am I right?”

His breath is heavy now. “Yeah,” he rasps out through the modulator. You press a soft kiss to his skin, feeling how warm and soft it is.

A shiver runs through his body, making the skin prick up beneath your lips. “Oh. So you meant it when you were flirting,” you giggle, sitting back upright and looking at him. “Well, you’re gonna have to win me over the hard way, Mando. Flirting is how people usually do it, I’ve heard,” you tease and pat his helmet as you stand and make your way out of the cockpit.

His aura has changed. It radiates further, sucks in more energy and pushes more out, all at a quicker speed. If it had a color, it would be a deep pink. “You want me too, don’t you, cyare?” Din asks, voice low and husky.

“You’ll have to figure that out yourself, Din,” you laugh and make your way over to your little green child to wake him from his nap.

“Grogu,” you sing softly, and the little thing stirs beneath his absurd amount of blankets. Those big eyes blink open and he makes a little grunt of effort. “I know, baby boy. So sleepy,” you coo and lift him from his cradle. He cuddles into your chest contentedly. “Good morning, snugglebug,” you mumble and press a kiss to his head.

Your back is to the ladder, but you can hear Din climbing down. His feet hit the floor. “I’ve been thinking about you for so long,” he tells you. His voice is even deeper, raspier than the modulator makes it sound. “That body… you don’t know what you’ve unleashed by saying tha-”

You turn, holding Grogu in your arms. Din’s demeanor shifts. “Oh. Uh, hi buddy. Can he understand me?” he asks. He knows sometimes the child can, but not always. Not when he uses different words.

You shake your head, reading the baby’s energy. He’s too sleepy to comprehend anything. “No, he can’t. But really, is that so?” You ask, popping a hip and resting a hand on it.

Din nods. “I’ve always loved the color of your eyes. Have I mentioned that?” You shake your head. “Really, they’re so beautiful.”

That makes you genuinely smile up at him. “Din,” you coo and place a hand on one of the indents of his helmet. “Is there a way you can remove the helmet and I can’t see it that’s legal with The Creed? Like, if my eyes were closed, could you do it?”

He nods. “Yes. As long as you don’t see my face.”

You smile a little. “Good to know,” you nod and walk away, the baby in your arms.

The day continues like that, the two of you trading compliments and pick up lines, shamelessly flirting around the Crest. You cook dinner and Din comments that it smells nearly as good as you. Din fixes something mechanical and you comment that those fingers would feel really good somewhere else.

There’s a palpable tension between the two of you for the rest of the night. You and Din dance around each other, sneaking touches of the other’s arm or hand or back. He compliments you and you flirt right back.

When Grogu finally yawns, it’s like the Maker themself sent it. Din hurriedly puts the baby to bed, and finds you in the cockpit after, sitting in his chair. The pilot’s chair. “Din,” you sing-song to grab his attention.

“What?”

You look at him with purpose for a second, then close your eyes. Sitting up a little. Referring to what you said earlier- Din can remove his helmet if you can’t see his face. He can kiss you. You can touch his face, feel him. “I promise they’ll stay closed,” you tell him.

You can hear him breathe through the modulator of his helmet for a moment, then there’s a soft sound of the helmet being removed. Finally, there’s a clank of the helmet being set on the floor. When it’s just your little family of three on the ship, Din omits the full beskar regalia. Nevertheless, you can hear the soft noise of his knees hitting the floor. In front of you. “Can I kiss you?” He asks.

His real voice is like a song. It’s nowhere near as low, though it’s still a bit deep, a bit raspy. It’s beautiful, so quintessentially Din, and you nod with a small smile. “That’s why they’re closed, stupid,” you tease.

One of Din’s calloused hands finds the side of your face. He pulls it down a little, for his kneeling height, and kisses you. Slowly. His lips are warm and soft, surprisingly soft, against your own. You break away from him for a second, your eyes still squeezed tightly shut as if you may accidentally open them. “Can I touch your head?” You ask.

In response, Din takes your hands and puts them on either side of his face. It allows you to feel the stubble beneath your fingertips, the warm skin. “You have a beard,” you giggle softly.

“All the better if my face is between your legs, right?” He chuckles. It’s just so fucking perfect and real, the way his laugh sounds without the helmet. As much as you’re enjoying the sound, the words that his voice formulates make you gasp a little and shudder. “You want that?” He asks you, lips finding your neck and kissing it slowly.

“Goddamn,” you mumble. “No, Din, I wanna fuck you tonight. Can we? Will you keep your helmet off if I promise not to look?” You ask, voice desperate. You clutch the back of his head, digging your fingers into the thick hair there- it’s wavy, you can tell. “Maker, I’ve wanted you for so fucking long.”

Din makes a little noise of affirmation into your neck. “Yeah,” he nods. “Even better, just wait,” he says, pulling away and putting the helmet back on. “You can look again.”

You do, seeing just your reflection in his helmet. “Where do you want me, baby?” You murmur to him, a hand on the side of his helmet.

Baby. No one has ever called Din that before. He’s heard it a million times, in crowded cantinas, between lovers. Between two people who cared for each other. You two cared for each other, he supposes. Obviously, or you wouldn’t be in this situation. The thought of the word makes Din pause for a moment.

“Hello? Din, what’s in there?” you tease and rap on the helmet with a fist.

You can’t see it but he’s absolutely beaming beneath his helmet, overjoyed. “Where do you want me? In the bunk? In the chair?”

You lean in and smirk, your eyes reflected in the black visor. “Where have you dreamed of having me most?” You whisper, and you swear you can see the beskar-clad man shudder.

“My bunk. Get undressed and lie down for me,” he tells you, already climbing down from the cockpit and motioning with his head for you to follow. You nod excitedly and climb down after him.

Din is looking for something, though you’re unsure of exactly what. You remove your top and pants, and start to move to remove your breastband before two large hands find your bare sides.

Din has returned, and he turns you around. He looks down at you with a long and thin strip of dark fabric in his hand, and you shudder. “Is that what I think it is?” You ask, hands finding the sides of his breastplate.

As you start unlatching his armor, Din nods. “You can undress me, then I’ll put it on and remove my helmet,” he tells you.

You smile a little as you start removing his beskar, tossing it to the side onto a discarded cape. It still makes a soft clunk, but it’s not enough to wake Grogu, thank the Maker. Once the metal is gone, your hands run over his flight suit, allowing you to feel the strong muscles beneath them.

“Din,” you murmur, unzipping the front. It exposes his bare chest, his tan skin with dark hair across it. He’s muscular, of course; as a bounty hunter must be. His arms are just as strong as you push the sleeves off of his shoulders, then push the waist down.

He doesn’t wear underwear. Of course he doesn’t, it would be impractical you suppose, but it exposes Din’s surprisingly large dick. You bite your lip as you look down at it, at how hard and needy it already is. You give it a slow stroke and Din groans. “Alright mesh’la. Let’s get that off of you,” he says and lifts your arms, pulling off the breastband.

After that, he shoves your underwear down and you step out of them, kicking them to the side. “Fuck,” he grunts at how beautiful you look, naked before him. Din pushes you back until your ass meets the end of his bunk and he lifts you to sit on the edge.

He makes a little grunt. “Sorry,” he chuckles. “Let me make it up to you,” he mumbles as he cups your face and kisses you again, his tongue running along the seam of your lips. “Can I do this, baby? Will you let me fuck you?”

The word again. Baby. It slipped from Din’s lips this time, before he could stop himself. He really really likes you, so much so that he can hardly contain it. He’s never been one for names in bed, degrading or praising, but he’s never going to stop calling you his, his baby.

1. the predatory wasp of the palisades is out to get us! by sufjan stevens i chose this song because it’s all about internalized homophobia and being in love with your best friend as a kid which RLLY resonates w jotakak imo. esp cause in the song, stevens’ friend ends up leaving abruptly, leaving stevens to wonder about what couldve blossomed if they had stuck together and worked through the difficulties together, which JOTARO....THAT IS JOTARO-CORE esp cause kak also “leaves” (dies). so this song was a v obvious choice for me and in fact this song is what inspired me to create this playlist in the first place

2. we are beautiful, we are doomed by los campesinos! this song is abt being in love with someone but you both have ur issues so it’s kind of a mess. considering jotaro and kakyoin’s (to point it quite frankly) trauma and the fact that both of them do jack shit to try and cope with it healthily, this song DEFINITELY fits them. esp cause this song mentions physical fighting and the imagery that goes with it (”he got his teeth fixed/im gonna break them”, “i’ve got a fist on fire”, etc) and the entirety of the bridge/last verse rlly gives me these two’s vibes so! ya (:

3. love love love by of monsters and men this song is the singer feeling like shes completely unworthy of being loved by this important person in her life, particularly because she has NO idea how to show affection and love the (for lack of better word) “acceptable” way, or any way at all really. this REALLY has jotaro vibes cause he is one repressed motherfucker and as we see the entirety of his story, jotaro is full of love he loves so much it’s just he has no idea how to properly express it cause he’s scared essentially. but that didn’t stop people from loving him, in this case, that being kakyoin. hhhhHHh

4. ribs by lorde this song is about being scared of growing up but due to the lyrics being written the way they are, i kinda spin the interpretation of it to be the fear jotaro and kakyoin had on the crusade to egypt, as they were the youngest and didnt know if they’d make it back and everything is just incredibly overwhelming there is so much going on all the time those 50 days. i can do a full analysis on why but that would be kinda long LMAO. for now let’s leave it at they have a very Unique fear of growing up but it still fits with the lyrics. particularly the last bit of the song with the “youre the only friend i need” verses,,,makes me think of these two...

5. can i call you tonight? by dayglow i interpret this song to be about trying to figure out what, exactly, your feelings are for this very specific and important person in your life. since jotaro and kakyoin r both repressed and also suckers of internalized homophobia, i think they fit that theme very well. particularly with the whole “i feel like we’re close, but maybe we’re not actually? what are we?” theme going on in the lyrics, this whole song makes me think of jotaro and kakyoin figuring out their intense and sudden (cause again only 50 days but also, those 50 days had So Much going on) feelings for each other. also the “now i’m no longer alone” line in the chorus HHHHHHH that’s them

6. la la la love song by toshinobu kubota ft naomi campbell SO I KNOW THIS SONG IS KINDA JUST FLUFF but we need some light-hearted moments in this thing hjgg;. ALSO toshinobu kubota is canonically jotaro’s favorite musician so i wanted to reference that and this was my fav love song of his that i’ve found so far so (: also the “you are my shining star” line,,,heh

7. truce by twenty one pilots so this song is very soft. it’s about tending to wounds and taking a moment before continuing to push on. it makes me think abt jotaro and kakyoin taking care of each other on the journey (for example the lovers arc/n’doul fight). also the whole “stay alive, stay alive for me/you will die, but now your life is free/take pride in what is sure to die” makes me go fucking nuts that is. that fits these two to a T fuck

8. this side of paradise by coyote theory this song has big “two lonely people are in love with each other for the first time” vibes and OHHHHHHHHHH THAT’S JOTAKAK.... there are a lot of little lines that make me specifically think abt these two, such as “love so strong it makes me feel weak” (jotaro-core...), “if you’re lonely come be lonely with me”, “i’ll be yours if you’ll be mine” (wanting some security while ur in love for the first time is common but especially for these two i think it works spectacularly) but yea this song as a whole is just...ohhh them. theyre in lvoe HK;FNJFL

9. i saw you in a dream by the japanese house EVERY. SINGLE. LINE. OF THIS SONG IS POST-EGYPT JOTARO. EVERY SINGLE LINE. and the ghost the singer talks about seeing? they hadnt changed at all? they were such a pretty vision, a perfect hallucination? BRUH... just listen i could do a whole analysis on this song it all just fits jotaro mourning kakyoin throughout the years so so so so well it makes me feel nuts holy shit i just. literally every line. every line fits i am not joking. i cried when i first heard this song LMAO

10. video games by the young professionals SO LMAO obviously kakyoin’s epic gamer moves are being referenced but beyond that i interpret this song to just be the fun parts of being in love esp when ur young (backed up with the “kissing in the blue dark” and the “watching all our friends fall” lines). also the chorus just makes me want to cry cause just, happy jotakak moments PLEASE. “the world was built for two only worth living if somebody is loving you, and baby now you do” THEYRE NOT ALONE ANYMORE THEY FOUDN EACH OTHER IM GONAN WAILLLLLLL oh my god. im nuts theynkjNJKNJF also “i heard that you like the bad girls” please. these two shitty teenagers

11. ikanaide by sohta ft. yuki kaai this song is abt not wanting someone u love to leave u cause youll miss them obviously but also ur scared of how the time will change you and if it’ll make you unrecognizable eventually. big post-egypt jotaro vibes 😔 especially cause one part of the chorus translates to “i shouldnt cry, i shouldnt cry, but the truth is i want to say dont go” and im jus like OHHHHH NO IT’S JOTARO FINDING OUT KAKYOIN DIED jkfnNKJFNJDhkld

12. therefore you and me by eve ALRIGHT. god this song is one hell of a doozy. i interpret this song to mean being sincerely in love but youre in the wrong place/wrong time. considering the uh Whole Situation in part 3 there were definitely better times to fall in love for these two. jotaro and kakyoin try to be happy w the moments they do have (i think the second verse in particular adds to this sentiment what with the selfish ghosts part) but they want a better environment understandably so theyre also just kinda ignoring things until they can properly care for a relationship. but well...who knows if theyll live to make it to that better environment ):

13. mayonaka no door/stay with me by miki matsubara this song is a v sweet sentiment abt like “it’s not just heat of the moment!! i do care about u a lot!!” and asking the person u have feelings for to stick around. big kakyoin and jotaro vibes as it would be easy to call what they have a fling considering how relatively short of a timeframe they had but i genuinely think their relationship was deeper than just that and this song nicely reflects such. “jotaro and i will share a room cause we’re both students” fuckin head ass

14. a thousand years by sting oh sting.... so since sting is kakyoin’s favorite musician canonically i had to add one of his songs here as well but beyond just that i do think this song fits them!! it kinda gives me big “if not in this life, then the next” vibes which is a big uhhh thing for jotakak. they may be doomed to tragedy but the moments they have together make the tragedy worth enduring ironically i feel like this song is mostly from jotaro’s pov considering i dont think he ever completely got over kakyoin and this song def has that kinda sentiment but hey it fits them...

15. mr loverman by ricky montgomery SO FUNNY STORY i actually REALLY. REALLY didnt wanna add this song at first cause i felt it wouldve been...idk too cliche? i guess? and i was ALL kinds of picky when choosing songs for this playlist HOWEVER. eventually i relistened to it and read the lyrics while thinking specifically abt jotakak and it actually rlly does fit quite well KJDFN; another jotaro mourning song ): it’s not just the chorus tho the whole song fits jotaro immediately post-egypt but also i feel like some time around part 4 this sentiment would come back to him cause Yknow. Gays In Morioh and the mess of his family life back in america. it just aches for him cause while he’s happy josuke is happy he wishes he couldve had that for him and kakyoin too but yea jus ... them

16. you by petit biscuit an instrumental?? in a ship playlist?? yes that’s right much like mr loverman i was hesitant to put this song in cause it’s harder to justify since i dont rlly know much abt music (and not to b controversial but interpreting lyrics and interpreting music r two different things) however i really think the vibes of this song fit jotakak. it’s got a somber melody but the keys of the piano are high which im taking to mean “light in the dark” which. jotaro and kakyoin (along w the rest of the crusaders) were each other’s lights in the dark. also the ending samples a conference/lecture talking about space flight and like. star platinum. space symbolism. jotaro. yeah

17. saturn by sleeping at last MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. this song is all about losing someone very close and important to you, but reflecting on the good they brought into your life rather than the pain of losing them. this song also has HEAVY space imagery which stardust crusaders is absolutely chalk fucking full of so also it’s a very philosophical song and considering that jotaro and kakyoin are both Nerds and both got a nice view of the stars/space in the desert with each other, im sure they had conversations similar to the one highlighted in the song. i think it’s a good note to end the playlist on cause kakyoin is dead and jotaro is the survivor but it’s not a mourning song so much as jotaro taking the love he had for kakyoin and pushing forward with it allll th way into part 6

“Roman! Roman slow down!” yelled Virgil almost running to catch up with the prince. “Are you out of your mind!? Have you forgot you can't go fooling around here on your own!?” 

“I'm sorry I just… I…” Roman shook his head looking confused and Virgil couldn't but take pity on him. 

“Nobody blames you for loving your brother Roman.” he said, hand on the prince’s shoulder.

“You don't understand.” 

“I think I do, more than you think.”

“He was like that for a while, almost... normal. But then, he just changed and I couldn't accept it so i just… ch-chose to forget it.”

“There's no shame in that, I've done that sort of thing before.”

They kept walking, not realizing the distance they were putting between them and the others. 

“They're walking too fast!” Patton said, and then tried to catch up. “Kiddos!” He yelled, but they didn’t seem to hear him. 

A thunderous sound made everyone halt. There was silence for a few moments before the weirdest stampede they've ever witnessed appeared in front of them . 

Gray frames filled the hallways rushing towards them, more specifically, Thomas. 

“Oh shit” cursed Remy, grabbing Thomas' hand, instantly running in the other direction. 

The others weren't slow in following them. Roman and Virgil a bunch of meters behind. The frames floated in the air and together formed some sort of buzzing swarm. The sound they made together was terrifying.

Patton looked back one more time to make sure the other two sides were still behind them but stopped dead on track as he saw how close they were to be eaten by the big mass (if that was what the frames did?). He saw Roman tackle Virgil to the side, both of them being immediately swallowed by a memory on the wall, seemingly safe. 

“Patton!” he heard Logan yell, but it was too late to start running again. 

“Shit shit shit shit” Remy runned past him and just as the frames were on them, he made a weird gesture with his arms and hands. A wall appeared in front of all of them and they all flinched when they heard what must have being the frames crashing in the other side. 

“Fuck”

“What was that!?” asked Thomas, in panic, and Logan made an attempt to answer.

“We alread-” 

“I know but what were they trying to do to me!?”

“… We need to get you out of here, they'll find a way to you again.” none of them knew what to think of Remy's serious tone. “I'll turn this into a maze instead of a hallway. It'll make it more difficult to find you, but it's just a matter of time before…”

“But what about Roman and Virgil!?” interrupted Patton.

“I'll send them back later!” Remy hastily interjected.

“We can't leave without them!” baffled, Remy watched the other two nod.

“Seriously? You too, Logic?” 

“It would certainly be a bad idea for Thomas to go back without his creativity and anxiety. We already saw what happened when Virgil is not around I don't want to think how would it affect him if we added Roman's absence to it.”

“Ugh babes, this is why Deceit doesn't like you.” said Remy, but started walking as a hallway opened for him out of nowhere. “We should hurry. I don't want to see what those memories could do…”

“You don't know!?”

“Well it hasn't happened before!”

It was an easy guess to say this was another of Deceit's memories. The sepia tone to it a dead giveaway  (much to Virgil's displeasure). However, what made him look around in wonder was the fact that they were in Roman's theater. It wasn't until he stumbled into Roman that he realized there was music. Someone was singing, but it wasn't Roman. 

“And if it turns out it's over too fast, I'll make every last moment last, as long as you're mine…” he heard an intake of breath, he himself remind himself to close his mouth. 

It was Deceit and Roman, both in the middle of the stage. The deceitful side was sitting on the floor while Roman was on one knee. What shook Virgil the most was the way they were looking at each other. 

“I never thought you were that good of an actor…” said the anxious side, half joking. But Roman didn't seem to be listening. 

“... But you've got me seeing through different eyes” sang the Roman from the memory and Virgil was hit with a realization. “Somehow I've fallen under your spell…” sang the past Roman, with a smirk. 

“... whAT!?” he exclaimed, making Roman flinch. “You and Deceit!?” 

“I-I can… I can explain!” said the fanciful side, putting his hands in front of him trying to appease Virgil. 

“You better! You-when? Why!?” 

“Say there's no future for us as a pair…”

“It's- it was a while back! It meant nothing! It…” the more the prince talked, Virgil noticed, the more his voice trembled. 

“I though I may know I don't care.”

“Roman…” whispered Virgil, as tears ran through the prince's face. They both looked back to see the other two finish the song, smiling. Virgil barely remembered Deceit smiling like that and not his usual shit eating grin. 

“What is it?” asked the yellow side. 

“Hey! That's supposed to be my line!” complained the prince, still holding the other in his arms. Deceit only rolled his eyes. 

“What is it?” asked the snake again, receiving a huff from Roman, but the other quickly composed himself. 

“It's just- for the first time, I feel wicked.” 

They both kept smiling to each other. For a moment, for a horrifying moment, Virgil thought he was going to see them kiss. But as Roman leaned down the memory ended. 

They both awkwardly stood in the empty hallway. Roman was looking at the frame in surprise. And if Virgil had been looking for it, he might had found a trace of hope in his eyes. 

As it was, he just looked around. There was a wall in the direction they had been running. And there was no more crazy gray frames lurking around. He saw from the corner of his eye how Roman sat down, seemingly getting to the same conclusion as him. Wait until the others found them. 

Virgil was a mess of emotions, he wanted so much to say something but at the same time he didn't know what. He waited while Roman looked around, he watched as his eyes settled in another yellow frame, but making no attempt at touching it. 

They sat there for a while, the silence was slowly eating Virgil alive. He took a breath to talk when Roman beat him to it. 

“He used to come to the theater while I was practicing.”

“O-oh, he did?”

“Yeah, he would stay in the stands, clap and throw roses…” said the prince, a smile in his face. “Sometimes would come up and say some lines.”

“When was this?” anxiety asked, hugging his knees. he didn't know how to feel. On one side, he hated Deceit, on the other...He just couldn't forget the look on either of their faces. It was as if… as if...

“Way before he revealed himself to Thomas? I think?”  

“I see” he said, and really, what else could he say?

“We used to talk a bit, after.”

“Yeah?” 

“Mhm” Roman glanced at Virgil to see his reaction. “About you.” at Virgil's squint he gave a shrug. “He would ask how you were doing, I always asked him why he didn't go ask you himself. He only said it was complicated.” Virgil gulped. 

“Did he ever tell you?”  

“I don't think he ever told me the whole thing. He would say it had something to do with trust? Something about the others being shits…” Virgil nodded.

“Mmm, him too.” Roman snorted at that. 

“Yeah he said that too.”

“Won't he get mad you're telling me this?” ventured Virgil, after a minute of silence, making Roman frown.

“Uh… maybe. I don't know if it matters though.” at that, it was Virgil's turn to frown.

“What do you mean?”

Roman points at the yellow frame he was looking at before. It showed hectic movements and Virgil wasn't sure what was happening in there, but it did look like Roman was there. 

“…It's what that frame shows I think, at least it looks like it…” Roman shivered, hugging himself. Virgil thought that he looked smaller. “After the court thing… we got into a fight, I said some things…” he stopped himself. 

“Uh…”Virgil didn't know what to say, until Roman frowned. “What?” 

“The worst part is… He said it would happen. When I first asked him to come up stage and sing a duet with me.” Roman shivered again and hugged himself harder. Virgil sat closer to him, earning a sad but grateful smile from the prince. “He said I was going to regret trying to be his friend.”

“…Do you?” 

“At that moment? I think I believed I did…” he sighed. “Now…?”

“I guess I understand that a little.” said the anxious side, earning a surprised look from Roman. “I mean, I still can't stand that little shit but… n-not everything back then was bad, you know?”the prince nodded. “He used to got my back and I got his when the others were being… um, not nice. It got to a point were I couldn't… I-” Roman put a hand on his shoulder. “I just couldn't stand it anymore. I needed reassurement. I needed to know where he stood. So I pressured him… And he said no… and I…” Roman nodded again. 

“About his name.”

“It was stupid”

“No it wasn't, I asked him too, once.”

“Did he…?”

“Pfft no, of course he didn't….” the prince's voice was low. “He said it wasn't about trust.” Virgil flinched, but Roman put a hand on his. “He tried to explain but I didn't really get it.”

Virgil looked down and started playing with Roman's fingers. 

“At the end he was frustrated of course. Said something about Logan being the only brain cell in our group.” imitating Deceit which made Virgil snort.  “And said that if he ever told someone he would tell Thomas first… and then you.” 

Virgil's eyes widened. 

“He… said that?” 

“Yup.” Virgil smirked 

“And then you?” teased, but received a grumble as response.

“You would think that, that's the obvious course of action!” 

“But…?”

“He said he would tell Remus first! Remus!” 

“Pffft” They laughed together for a few minutes, holding hands. Virgil noticed that the others hand was scarily cold. He glanced back at the yellow frame.

god I love this entire interaction between cyclonus and drift, I'm so glad we got it. bc like, cyclonus is basically everything drift is trying so hard to be - cool stoic religious sword guy who used to be a bad guy, except cyclonus is still firmly not an autobot, while drift is hardcore leaning into being an autobot in an attempt to get people to forget that whole ‘murderous decepticon’ thing

and drift seems like the type of guy who cares The Most about how he’s perceived by the people around him, but he tries to act like he doesn't care, even tho its pretty obvious he does. cyclonus, meanwhile, ACTUALLY doesn't care about what people think of him, and that probably irritates drift, along w/everything else cyclonus has going on 

cyclonus is so iconic...he just smacks the sword out of drifts hand like ‘yeah we’re not doing this.’

oh my god, i LOVE her? i love her so much. literally my favorite healer. her route is literally the best.

its just like. shes SO fun. shes so weird and shes so funny and i just love love love how shes written. i love that in the beginning of her own route shes like.. literally Just a little girl. like getting worried bc she told the first lie in her life ,,, its just like shes so cute. i love her and shes soooo funny oh my god. i love love love how through her route she becomes more confident with herself and her path, it seems... just like everything is so good about her.

i love her place in the game as well... shes the youngest, definitely the one who you’d probably trust the least to do a good job, and just so ... she’s so weird! i love that she is the character who becomes the sort of meta character, where the developers Know you’ve gone thru everything twice, we’re now just going to let her know all you need. plus, i fucking LOVE her powers with the hook - thats a trope i just love so much... 

i love her black and white mentality? its just so interesting... i love how the world warps in her route, where people are especially evil, or are especially good. and i love. i LOVE that she’s put with all of the humbles... like i just love everything about her SO much ...

oh, as ive said: grace!! i find their relationship incredibly cute, especially with how clara says how much she likes her in her route... plus! weird (graveyard) girls unite :) idk, i just feel like they complement each other very well, and would understand each other very well! its very cute!

firstly, the saburovs! i think more about katerina just because of who i am, but i love thinking of if they were like . . . an actually good family. idk, its just like if the saburovs weren’t In That Situation... maybe, just maybe they would be better? they obviously care about clara very very much, as shown in those first few days... idk, i just love the idea of good families 😔

secondly, like almost every relationship she has with the humbles, or what potential relationship she’ll have in p2 now that some of them have been reworked. i cant go through the whole list because ill be here all day, but especially rubin and her relationship; the connection she has with aspity; im interested in how the others will be reworked and how they’ll interact with clara just... ayugh i love all of the  humbles so much!

thirdly, um. okay not to be a termite stan but thinking of her relationship with some of the termites is super interesting... in particular, as ive said, grace and her seem like they could very well be very good friends if not gfs, and sticky! theyre both thieves ... i feel like it can be very interesting, though i doubt they would be really close hsdjkgjk still! i just love thinking of her potential relationship with the other kids.

fourthly, also aglaya because of her connection with clara, with knowing. Everything about their world is so interesting. plus, just how aglaya treats her is so... interesting? shes just SO different in clara’s route, its so interesting...

and lastly, as i said: her relationship with block! i dont have too many thoughts, but i find his care for her very very interesting and sweet... im interested in how their relationship will be expanded upon in her route!

clara best healer! clara’s route is the best! i hate it when people only use her for their daniil/artemiy ship shit! she doesnt give a shit about them! stop pushing her off to the side! her route is unfinished, yes, thats really only the side quests from day 8 on! the main quest is always different! just play her route! shes not just some weird person who only speaks in metaphors, shes also a little girl!  i love clara very much!

oh, hmm... her route to be finished, and actually full of details? ghdsjkgj really though, i remember people saying that they might go for a genre shift with the other two routes in p2, and i think her’s being more horror would be SO cool... i also hope that we can hug people in her route as well, oh my god. oh my god. please let me hug the saburovs.

How I feel about this character

i LOVE teru! hes absolutely, 100%, completely my favorite mp100 character. hes such a huge comfort character to me as well its just like i looveee his character. hes so SO funny and hes so dumb but also hes like SO smart and. hes SOOOO smart and i just can relate to him a lot! who am i but a constant string of “oh yeah im very smart and i can do this amazingly” and then almost immediately being followed by someone showing me up, 

plus, i feel like hes just my favorite character archetype. its just like! i am such a huuugeeee fan of characters showing off and trying to act big but are hiding behind a ton of insecurities. or well, maybe not quite hiding behind them, but having a lot of them. after all i think teru truly is just Like That, though his actions in his arc were heavily motivated by these insecurities... idk i just love him so much. hes just really relatable to me in some aspects and in all others i just find so fun. hes such a great character!

also, reigen ofc! i mentioned that i like the idea of reigen taking him in, though i think reigen might not be a . . . great parental figure. but i just really like the found familyness of it... plus, okay, this is going to be obvious since im such a teru stan, but the one omake where reigen takes them all out for a “client” but it just is reigen trying to give them all a fun summer day because teru mentioned how his family doesnt ever really see him... oh my god its about That. just an adult figure caring for teru makes me happy and thats why i love their relationship so much.

also, i have much less thoughts about this (or at least now i do), but the idea of teru and ritsu being friends sounds so funny. like i dont have many thoughts on it; its all mainly this comic on them

hmmm, i think all of my opinions are echoed by the people in my corner of the fandom, but one i can think of is like just about Every take on his fashion sense is so cold, besides the one thats like “hes a rich teenager living on his own and thats why his fashion sense is like that.” like he obviously cares about his own appearance, but aahkdshjkg i dont think its like so much as so many people put on him. also for  the love of god focus on his other interests other than fashion for once,

OK OK ALRIGHT!!!!!!!!!! alright so idk what kind of. earth landscape this reboot occurs in…. like yallve got this retro 80s/90s neon future verse going on but i didnt think my reboot version would fit into that so yall go wild with whatever hc for this earth reboot thing u want cuz im not creative and i didnt really think that far ahead

ALRIGHT here we go. this is so long i HAVE to put this under the cut but i hope yall enjoy the creations of my MIND……

- akeno “KEITH” shirogane: (age: 19) [gay] hes japanese/black/galran. hes still half galra in this reboot bc i fuck with that honestly but hes got more visible galran traits. his bottom canines are larger than usual and poke out from his bottom lip so he wears a mask to cover his mouth and his eyes r still purple but instead of his sclera being yellow(tinted), hes just like. got some odd golden flecks in his eyes. he normally wears a dirty mechanics jumpsuit with the top half tied around his waist and a black or white tank top underneath (hes still a high school flunk out so he works full time at a car repair shop so hes able to buy food and shit at LEAST + hes still got his motorcycle to keep in shape). his casual clothes r just regular grey sweats, hoodies, and adidas or whatever brand is closest in their future lol. hes blood related to shiro who ill get to in a second.. shiros blood related to him as his uncle (brother of keiths dad) ALSO his hair isnt long in this reboot, hes got a short messy head of hair that he mostly just pulls back into a TINY little pony tail on his forehead (like in the game show ep) so it doesnt get in his face while hes working. he also has goggles bc thats the one thing from yalls reboot ideas i actually like (endgame lion: he momentarily pilots black during shiros disappearance but his permanent and stationary lion is red)

- fal’allura “fala, ALLURA” naguna’ephy: [lesbian] (age: 21 or close to that in alien standards) shes altean on her fathers side and teem (what we’re gonna call nymas race) on her mothers side. she bares more altean features except her eyes are solid yellow and shes only got four fingers on each hand. instead of crescent shaped facial markings, she has painted on red and golden lines across her nose and her upper lip. her hair (very dark purple with silver highlights and literal glowing, twinkling stars) is VERY long, brushing the floor as she walks except and (now bear with me cuz this might be hard to explain) her hair, the farther down u look kind of fades away? like it becomes semi to absolute transparent… idk how else to explain it but i hope u understand…. she does wear a crown but its more like a headdress.. (imagine beyonces headdress).. she doesnt wear it often, usually only on diplomatic missions to greet other worldly rulers bc its heavy and it makes her neck hurt :/.. her dress! looks like this! but a little more spiffy .. u know.. her casual/training clothes are just…. idk imagine a royal looking sports bra and leggings?? i guess … ALSO ALSO ALSO she can still shape shift but instead of limiting her shifting to just the changing of skin tone and height, she can completely mimic different alien species but only humanoid races.. like she can have those indented looking knees and huge ass horns and all that but she cant like. turn into an earth lizard u know what im saying. also also also also she still speaks with an accent just… not a british one….(endgame lion: no lion. she keeps leading and piloting the castle ship until destruction, where she leads and pilots the atlas)

- alejandro “LANCE, ale” reyes-leon: (age: 19 ½) [bi] hes cuban/black/vietnamese. his dad is black and vietnamese and his mom is cuban! hes got longish afro textured hair he keeps back in a pony tail most of the time like this or a bun when training bc hes too lazy to put any actual effort into styling it. hes got a couple moles/freckles scattered across his face and hes got sectoral heterochromiaaround his left pupil so theres a little bit of blue in one of his other wise dark brown eyes (like this).. i havent really figured out what his clothing style is.. i thought about keeping his clothes close to vld canon like his jacket (bc that was a really good jacket) but im gonna go a little wild here so hold on. he wears one of those surfer type looking skin tight turtleneck shirts underneath his heavy bomber jacket.. he wears just regular ripped jeans and hightops like in canon…….. hmm……. he wears a pink bead necklace under his shirt that was made by his little cousin just a couple weeks before he was shot off into space and he hasnt taken it off since…………. he also has a tiny stick and poke tattoo on his ankle he did when he was thirteen bc he thought it would look cool but it turned out kinda lop sided so he never takes his socks off in embarrassment (endgame lion: blue to red (during keiths reign as black paladin) then to black when shiro leaves voltron to lead the atlas alongside allura)

- takashi “SHIRO” shirogane: (age: 31) [gay] hes japanese/black. hes keiths uncle and the only family keith really has .. his design doesnt really change much except hes got long hair (like kuron) but its pulled up into a messy bun or pony tail.. in MY canon hes still gay and married to adam (whos name isnt adam i just cant think of a new name for him yet) (and adam lives dont worry) and theyre working on adopting a daughter before shiro has to leave for kerberos. shiro usually dresses in work out outfits so like. gym shorts… tank tops.. leggings.. imagine those white blonde dudes who always wear a man bun and only eat vegan and drink chai from starbucks bc thats exactly how shiro acts but ONLY ironically ……… when shiros abducted on the galra freighter and forced to fight in the ring, his hair streaks white but instead of just a clean scar across his nose, he has multiple long scars scattered across his face from a one x one between his face and some debris thrown at him by a gladiator. his prosthetic looks and remains kinda the same i guess but this time its decked out with claws on the finger tips so it looks a little more galran yeah? (endgame lion: no endgame lion. he pilots the atlas alongside allura)

- francesca “frannie, frankie, PIDGE” eleonora: (age: 15) [trans girl lesbian] shes . just italian i guess. so anyway shes not gonna be an asshole bitch like canon pidge.. shes gonna be the caring sweet but KINDA mean little sister we always wished we had.. the little sister who would tell u, with all honesty, that ur winged eyeliner was smudged before u hit the town with the girls and made a fool of urself……. ANYWAY shes still gonna be the ‘hacker’/computer geek techno girl but not as much ykno? shes JUST a little girl so she just kinda does her own thing. i rlly like all the fanart i see of her wearing overalls and stuff SO thats her canon design…… she wears faded overall jeans over a short sleeved pale pink tshirt w a dog one it and scuffed up chucks. she wears glasses but instead of just taking them from matt she has an actual prescription and is basically blind without them. i literally cannot stress this enough but shes such a nice girl like the team pretty much adopted her as their little sister the moment they boarded the castle ship. idk what else to add on to her!!!! i literally did not put any thought into pidge at all! (endgame lion: permanently green)

- opetaia“HUNK” tuitama: (age: 19 ¾) [bi] hes samoan/black. hunk was adopted and has two moms and three other siblings, all of who are younger than him. im not sure about his fashion other than i KNOW deep down in my heart that he would wear cargo shorts…. i cant find it in me to get rid of his bandana thing so i let him keep it except he uses it to tie his hair up instead of using it as a head band thing….. HUNK in my au is more of a tech freak/engineer than pidge so he handles most of that stuff with the occasional help from pidge (like wiring… she has tiny fingers that can grab the wires easier) hunk probably wears the crocs/sandals with socks combo but just because he loves hearing lance bitch about it whnever he struts into a room. hunk also looks good in his vest so im gonna let him keep that but it looks more modified… like it has a bunch of pockets and stuff to keep bolts and nuts and other stuff he needs to work with.. thats also why he wears cargo shorts; just for the pockets.. (1/14)I am so sorry for taking so long! (I also had to spend a lot of time studying this week bc I had my first exam for my Anatomy Lab on Wednesday... And then we had our first exam for *Lecture* Thursday (which also was the day I had a bunch of powerpoints due for my very intimidating adviser...) and then I had to substitute teach all day Friday (and then I meant to respond sooner but I got so busy 😭) so yeah I completely understand about school getting in the way no worries abt it!)

And also sleeping in on a day off when you’ve been busy studying lately is completely valid hon 👌 I hope that your midterms go well and that you’re able to stay healthy and take care of yourself in the midst of preparing! (not that you wouldn’t, I just have a bad habit of neglecting things like healthy sleeping and eating habits when I get caught up studying, so hopefully you’re not like me in that way) And yeah me too! I mean on the one hand I understand *why* they have that limit

3)If u could just send as many as u want there would be so much more spam and ppl would definitely abuse that. But also?? Um? I have a chronic condition called ‘Can'tShuttheFuckUp-itis’? 🤷 This policy is so discriminatory towards people like me who suffer from this crippling condition! 6)in my defense tho one of them was only $10 bc it was Black Friday? And u can’t blame me, Hot Topic is my krypotonite lmao) but yeah I already feel guilty about spending 30+ dollars on one copy of an album (thx international shipping) That’s so wild. And yeah I don’t get why ppl feel the need go out of their way just to insult other ppl’s music taste. I’m also pretty self conscious abt sharing my music taste and obviously the way everyone around me talks abt kpop has made me even moreso now 🙃

7) I haven’t gotten into too many groups yet bc I’m trying to go slowly and focus on getting into one group at a time but I do have a long list of groups I plan on getting into eventually! NU'EST is one that I’ve heard some of their songs on my Spotify based on my listening history and they’re on the list haha 😂 And omg I feel really similarly about Got7! I tried to get into them after I got into Monsta X and right before I got into Astro and although I did really like some of their songs

8)I haven’t really been able to get into their music as much as MX and Astro’s yet. I do think they seem like a really fun group in terms of personality though. As for the comeback I know right?? I mean I know a lot of ppl were freaking out abt the comeback being a 'sexy’ and how it wasn’t gonna be the same cute Astro we all love anymore. But they filled the MV with flowers and glitter and still managed to make it sexy as fuck! This album has a very different vibe but it still felt like them

9) They managed to pull off a more mature and sexy concept while still staying true to themselves and I’m so here for it! I don’t know if I could really pick a favorite era because I love them all! I mean Spring Up was an excellent era and every era since then has been great. They really don’t know how to have any bad concepts or make any bad songs huh? Lol. Since I’m still pretty new I really love the title tracks since I’ve heard them the most. (I have listened to their full discography

10)But I haven’t listened to their Bsides enough to pick out my favorites from those) I also really love Again though! The first time I saw the dance practice I was super into it and then I looked up the lyrics and was like 'this is supposed to be sad/regretful song it has no reason to be this much of a BOP?!’ 😂 I have such a hard time picking favorites though. Since All Light is new though I actually have listened to it enough times to pick some 'non-title song favorites’ from there haha

11) Other than All Night (which is great, obvi) I also really like Starry Sky, Moonwalk and Role Play 😂 and Bloom is so pretty oh my god! 😭😭 the album is great and has no bad songs but those are the ones I particularly like. I feel u about the dances honestly. I think that’s actually what drew me to kpop initially. I mean I like listening to the songs ofc but it wasn’t until after I actually watched an MV/saw the choreography that I actually was like… Oh shit I’m gonna have to be a fan now

12) It was the visual aspect that really made me want to be a kpop fan bc I haven’t really seen that level of performance with any western music. Which isn’t to say I think all western music is bad but I think it’s really impressive to watch kpop groups singing and also doing really impressive choreography and performing at the same time. Plus that’s the part I can show my family and say 'even if you don’t like the music because of the language barrier you have to admit they’re talented dancers’

13)And yes! With Astro especially I think the dance practices rlly succinctly capture the reason why I love them so much. They are *super* talented but they also have such great chemistry and u can rlly tell that they just love each other and have so much fun together! I love a family of six hardworking dorks! 🤧💗 lol. And yeah it’s too bad that neither of are able to see them this cb ☹️ (I also did the 'hypothetically…’ research but it wouldn’t have worked out 😒) I hope you’re right though!

14)Hopefully the success of this comeback is the catalyst to Astro getting more of the attention they deserve and there will be many more opportunities to see them in the future! FUCKKK okay so after like a million years of midterms + 2 days straight of sleeping ya girl is BACK to answer these asks after getting through the hurdle of copying and pasting and italicizing 14 asks onto one response on my phone. Did I perhaps fail at least 3 of my midterms? Quite probably. Do I have the energy to care atm? No. Did I need to get away from everything and fly to Boston to visit my friend for reading week? Yes.

Tbh I have the same unhealthy habits too, I essentially became nocturnal and lived on like one meal a day + snacks and coffee 😭 fr, I would be writing my midterm from 11:30-1:30, go home to eat, sleep from 4-7pm, then wake up to study all night for the next one, and repeat,,,,, I’m like an actual mess tbh

Honestly as much as I’ve enjoyed the Aroha secret admirer thing (it was sooo nice getting to meet new people) rn I’m just so glad that post-reveal we don’t have to deal with tumblr ask limits and writing entire essay responses all in one go.

Honestly 3 shirts isn’t even THAT bad especially if they weren’t all like ordered from overseas so they wouldn’t have been that expensive. When I went to the Myeongdong underground shopping centre I went craaaazy with Kpop merch despite stanning (at that point, pretty much only) BTS for a whole 3 weeks, so I ended up coming back with 2 albums, a bunch of stickers, a photocard pack (also bonus: got an Astro one too) and like a BUNCH of bt21 stuff. Speaking of, my All Light album finally came in!! I ended up getting a Moonbin, MJ, Jinjin, and Sanha photocard plus the a Rocky lyric booklet and ik I basically got THE best set for someone who loves all of them w my whole heart 😩✊ but I’m still sad I didn’t get any Eunwoo cards since he was my first Astro bias 😭 it’s soooooo pretty I love it sm and like lowkey I’ll probably end up buying more of their albums anyway oopsss

Speaking of Monsta X btw, I heard their new song and I thought it was really good! What did you think of it?

Regarding favourite songs, I swear my moods change so much, so it’s pretty common for me to not love a song at first and sort of rediscover it months later, and tbh that’s kind of what happened with Innocent Love, Baby, and Again. In this album though, I’d say my favourite Bsides are probably be Bloom, 1 in a Million, and Heart Brew Love.

And I toootally agree with the performance aspect of kpop being the thing to attract me it, even before I got really into it I’d sometime like to watch dance practices (and lowkey even learned a bunch of choreos a with my friend last term just bc we had access to a frequently empty dance studio). It’s just super impressive to see people singing and dancing at the same time mostly live, and for the same reasons I’m also super into musicals as well, which isn’t so say I think like lip syncing or just dancing/singing is bad, it’s just refreshing to see it done all at once, you know?

Also side story it turns out that I actually DO know another Astro fan irl!! Her older sister (who I’m closer to bc we’re closer in age) is the one who bought the million got7 albums. Even though she’s been a fan of Astro since before debut, her sister doesn’t even know she listens to kpop since she was afraid of getting roasted at first, but now she’s in too deep to say anything. I’d mentioned liking Astro to her before, but she didn’t say anything bc she didn’t want to expose herself in front of her sister but on Friday I saw her while her sister was out and she was like “oh btw here’s a secret I went to the Toronto fanmeet last year but my sister doesn’t know” I was SHOOK but tbh I’m just super glad now to have someone to talk about it and go to concerts with (I’m banking on the fact that they’re coming back)

I'd like you to consider an aftg ship (not rlly related to tuk I just wanted to know what you thought of it): dan/matt/aaron

You know what!! I saw a fic with this ship a while back and I didn’t get it at first until I got into working on TUK and thinking about Aaron defrosting around the other Foxes. My main ship for Aaron is probably Katelyn, but I’m a filthy multishipper, so in short, dan/matt/arron? yeah, sure!

First kiss comment fic for your thoughts?

Ok, so I mean, to start Aaron was there for The Colombia Fiasco and saw Matt come out the other side. Out of all the Foxes, they’re the two that have done the long crawl back from being addicts and are pretty solidly sober. They would really understand each other on that end if they’d ever get to the point of needing to/wanting to talk about it.

But then they get softer around each other, all three of them. And I mean they’ve all been happier, but Dan is seeing Matt and Aaron get closer, become actual friends. Being little The sparing helps, too, because Matt loves it and Aaron is actually getting better (and Matt loves when he teaches someone something and they get it) and Matt’s science grades are getting better (and Aaron smiles when Matt comes in waving a test paper with 100% on top). Dan loves seeing this.

So she says, hey, bring him around, he’s welcome here, too. And I feel like Aaron would be a little sheepish around Dan, I’m not sure why, but she finds it cute and Matt notices and finds them both c u t e but doesn’t say anything about it because he’s Straight™ of course. And Aaron probably wouldn’t appreciate the implications. And also he and Dan are monogamous.

But life is funny like that, because Dan notices him getting awkward trying to Not Think Gay Thoughts (or think about his girlfriend and his New Boy-Shy Friend together) and basically whispers something in his ear that makes his pulse stumble, then says, “it’s ok, we’re ok.” And well, alright then, they’re ok. “Are you ok?” …He thinks he’s ok.

(Aside: He’d tell Dan about the men, his father’s friends. Because it didn’t mean anything to him, he was too strung out to give a fuck, it didn’t even feel sexual for him, he wasn’t thinking “this is gay” he was barely thinking “this is happening” so he’s never really considered himself with another guy. Dan listens to him, he works out the I-could-kill-whoever-hurt-you furrow in her brow because it doesn’t matter now. She lets that rest and says, “It’s not them you’re thinking about.” And no it’s not… He’s ok.)

Them actually getting together would probably be a fluke because honestly, because Matt genuinely never planned on saying shit to Aaron about his lil itty bitty teeny weeny crush. It was just something for Dan to tease him about and for him to laugh at himself about.

But maybe Aaron and Katelyn break it off and he closes ranks with the Foxes, starts hanging with all of them more?

Either way, one day it’s just the three of them, in the dorm on the couch, watching TV and just relaxing. And they’re all close, because Aaron wouldn’t say touch starved aloud, but he doesn’t have to. Dan’s laid out, got her legs tangled in Aaron’s and he’s twisted so he’s slumped under Matt’s arm and it’s all just…nice.

And maybe it’s corny. Maybe Matt turns to say something about the show and Aaron is just right there in his face and his heart sort of jumps because well ok there’s been a lot of cuddling going on as of late, but he hasn’t been thinking about it like that, but now Aaron is looking at him sort of wide-eyed and close and shocked when Matt’s eyes drop to his lips.

They both start to say something at the same time, nonsense syllables, an explanation, an excuse, a question, but Matt remembers Dan saying “it’s ok” and she’s here and it’s ok, if Aaron’s ok–

Matt kisses him.

Aaron jerks back and Matt’s stomach lurches. But he’s not getting violent, he’s not screaming at him or jumping up to leave, to get away from Matt. He’s just got his hand clenched on Dan’s ankle, staring at him in shock.

More nonsense syllables, the start of a dozen jumbled apologies, questions, explanations, before Dan says, again, “It’s ok” and Aaron whips to look at her, “If you’re ok, it’s ok, Aaron.”

And Aaron looks sweetly lost before he turns back to Matt. “I thought you were straight.”

Matt’s gotta laugh at that, albeit a little hysterically. “So did I.”

Aaron is holding onto Dan for dear life, so she sits up, scoots closer to him. Takes his hand. “Are you ok?”

And Aaron takes a second to think about that, turns slow back to Matt. He keeps his hand in Dan’s, leans forward with the something closer to the boldness they’re used to from him, even if his lips are uncertain on Matt’s, it makes Matt go warm with want and relief.

And now they’re making out on the couch and Matt’s head is spinning because this is really real and Aaron’s heart is pounding against his chest and then Dan’s hand is on Aaron’s neck and he’s making a sound and Matt has to stop right now because he can’t breathe, wow. But when he pulls back Aaron is turning to Dan’s, scarlet red and gratifyingly breathless as she smiles and kisses him too and wow wow he’s gotta flex his legs and think about exy and garbage cans and dog shit because he’s not trying to get hard right now but holy fuck.

“Ok,” Aaron says, like five times, “Yeah, I’m ok. This is–wow, ok.”

Dan laughs and kisses him again, “Good to know,” leans past him to peck Matt, too. Then she lays back on the couch like it was nothing, like it was normal.

Matt is legitimately half hard and Aaron is still breathing unsteadily, but they really settle back into the comfortable warm place when Aaron mumbles. “I thought I was straight.”

And they all start laughing so hard Matt can barely get out, “So did I.”

Yah exactly. At least 90% of the people who ship yaoi/gay shit aren’t doing it just because “OOH GAY GUYS SO HOT” but because the characters just WORK together. And yeah, most of my KnB ships are gay, bUT THAT’S TO BE EXPECTED IN A SERIES WITH 100 MALE CHARACTERS AND LITERALLY 4 FEMALE CHARACTERS (two of which are in their 30s so yah not really giving us much to choose from here)

To quote a post I saw: “Realizing it’s not romance that I hate but overdone straight relationships with zero chemistry built on a slew of misogynistic tropes was like a huge revelation for me.”

I do tend to avoid most mainstream media because of this. I’ll complain “ugh another romance movie” but it’s not that I hate straight romance, it’s that I’m literally just sick of these forced straight relationships that aren’t even good. 

Like me, an aroace, and my bisexual female friend, came out of the Miss Peregrine movie thinking “well yeah it was good but that romance subplot....yeesh” LIKE THE GUY KNEW HER FOR THREE FUCKING DAYS (I counted as soon as they started getting flirty - which was p much immediately) AND HE GAVE UP HIS WHOLE LIFE AND HIS FAMILY FOR HER???? And then look at Kagakuro for example. They started off fighting all the time and beating each other up, and look where they are now. And even if people do prefer gay ships over straight ones, literally why does that matter? Why is it suddenly a problem to like gay couples (especially if you’re LGBT yourself)? Straight couples are everywhere. If I wanted to see them make out I’d go sit in my sister’s room with her and her boyfriend. Literally why is it a problem to think it’s cute when guys are together? I also think it’s cute when girls are together ya know. KnB is a problem for me because I rlly don’t like Momoi at all (soz) and therefore don’t really like her with Riko, BUT LESBIANS IN GENERAL ARE FUCKING GREAT. WHY WOULDN’T YOU WANT TO SEE TWO CUTE GIRLS SNUGGLING TOGETHER???? It’s literally the same with guys. LGBT people are awesome and it’s real disappointing that people are trying to tell us not to appreciate them (especially when half of us are LGBT anyway?????) 

And jesus even if some straight girl just really does think gay guys are the bee’s knees and doesn’t give a fuck about straight or lesbian couples, tbh as long as she is accepting and supportive of real gay people then i don’t fuckin care????

And you’re absolutely right, it’s not always smutty things. Plenty of fanfics and fanart are cute n fluffy (I’ve written a bunch of v fluffy fics about characters of KnB being asexual for eg)

And even if it IS smutty, WHY DO YOU CARE SO MUCH?????????

Lol now you guys know why I avoid the dashboard. Because shit like this is always going down there. This is exactly the kind of crap I want to avoid. My life is stressful enough, I don’t need ignorant idiots flapping their mouths about things they LITERALLY DO NOT EVEN UNDERSTAND. I just want to enjoy my damn gay ships (and straight ones, and lesbian ones) in peace.
