i love & live for your nailposting so i have to ask — do you have any tips on cuticle care??? i find that mine grow SUPER quickly and i constantly have to trim them back with cuticle clippers but i feel like they never…. Look Nice™️.

first of all THANK YOU and the 10 other ppl who like my nailposting. second, it's hard to give specific tips w/o knowing anything about your Bod, but general tips that are always applicable are just like. push them back frequently, esp when they're soft like right after your hands have gotten wet, or you've moisturized. also def recommend using a cuticle oil every once in awhile, daily if possible! you can homebrew a cuticle oil by just using jojoba and vitamin E, if you wanna be a little cheap abt it and/or you're sensitive to fragrances, Like Moi. (premade cuticle oil is generally Scented.) using cuticle nippers and trimming them is sick and I also do it every once in awhile, but keeping them Pushed Back and Not Dry is the first line of defense, I think! if you're snipping really often, though, it can actually make the regrowth a little Worse. edit: I ALMOST FORGOT about doing cuticle cleanup with a dissolvent. they make lots of kinds, I have a sally hansen one, it comes in a little blue bottle. For the dead skin that's actually climbing up the nail plate and sticking to it, you'd apply this stuff for a minute or so, and then scrape off the (newly softened) dead skin with a little orangewood stick/cuticle pusher.

#some people are scared of the cuticle remover gels but they're not scary #I think bc it says on the back like. Let Sit for 15 Seconds. and everyone's like WHAT HAPPENS AFTER 15 SECONDS #nothing happens to Moi. I leave it longer than that. just wash your hands when you're done cleaning up your cuticles #the oil is really the biggest tip for me like. I say that for every nail related fix #bc it's also good for the health of the whole nail #and yeah like. some people don't like the sensation of Pushing Back the cuticle? #so ik this may be just a Me thing but I don't mind it. so I push mine back ALL the time #It definitely seems to help keep on top of things #and then yeah when/if you do have scragglies that you need to snip.. snip snip bitch!! #nailposting #sergle answers #long post #cuticles for me are like. A/N: This may be out in the next few days~ It came to me randomly and I couldn’t stop writing lollll enjoy! 

“Then allow me to help,” he says, taking another step toward you. You tense as your back collides with the wall, heart pounding in your chest as he leans in closer to you. “Please let me in,” he whispers. His emerald eyes search you wildly, fingertips brushing over your cheek as he leans in closer. 

The kiss is feathery light, his eyelashes tickling your nerves as his eyes flutter shut. “Gad ...” your voice trails away as he presses another tentative kiss against your lips. 

“How can you make me feel so much, beloved?” he asks, pulling back to look you in the eye. “I understand not being able to trust. I know the feeling of buckling under the burden of your memories. But I’d like a chance to prove you wrong.”

You squeeze your eyes shut tight, biting your lip between your teeth. It hurts. Opening yourself up to disappointment time and time again hurts too god damn much. Pulling him into a hug, you let out a puff of air, body melting into his embrace as he squeezes you tight. “I trust you,” you say, nuzzling against him. Gadreel gently rubs your back, pressing a kiss against the top of your head. 

“I’m glad.”

Anyway... as always I'm just so very very very picky when it comes to horror. I just have this very narrow window of what I personally like, and there's just so many things that just have horror elements rather than being horror to me (and don't even get me started on stuff with a human killer, for me personally that's a thriller rather than horror, and I don't care for it cause sadly we've got plenty of human killers in real life)

It's just so hard to do good horror. It's hard to ride the line between showing too little and showing too much, between building tension and being boring... and dear god is it so easy to trend into being goofy

Then you've got the issue of generally having to come up with something totally new that we don't have in the real world (to please me anyway) and having enough lore that it's actually something... but not talking about it so much that you make it sound stupid or open it up to plot holes

Very very very very tricky genre... I think I still respect bad horror, even though I also have disdain for it and don't like it at all... at least they tried, or... at least... some of them tried (some is just schlock)

#to show just how picky I am about horror; I don't like Blair Witch Project #it breaks my number one rule of no bitchy 20 somethings... they just are all bitching at each other so much it puts me to sleep #I hate low cohesion groups; they just fucking annoy me... once again; I can see that in real life #so... I can't sit through the stuff that builds the atmosphere for it; so the pay off to me is just someone standing in a corner #which obviously isn't what it actually is; but I can't sit through it enough to actually soak up... fuck; don't even know what's going on #nah... hate when likable characters die; but I'd rather have likable people that make the movie watchable #than people snipping back and forth at each other; and they're all just begging to get their hands on a rock to show how brutal they are #also; don't like any found footage because I can't fucking see what's going on #no of this is objectively right; but it is why I'm so hard to please with horror #... like I think there's a lot to like about Until Dawn; but it's not even slightly horror to me #there's barely any monsters; and they're pretty fucking boring for monsters... unnatural things are key to horror for me #cause again; if the killer is a people... yeah; those exist and they suck #I want an unknowable creature; I want something that will reveal to me the unknown tongue; you know? #very very tricky to please with horror; but I am always welcome to suggestions #and if I don't like it; that doesn't make it bad; it just makes it less than nearly perfect

#it was a bit hard at first but once we switched to me distracting her it was way easier to snip the fur #i was acting like i was about to leave the room and kept wiggling and singing for her and she was stock still staring at me #to put that into perspective: we could barely get her to stay still with treats and she is a massive glutton #she wuvs me 🥹 #and she was so brave for the alcohol even though it must have stung like a bitch #i genuinely don't know how this beast even got a mat with such short hair #but her neck fur is very plush and it was in a wrinkly spot that was hard to find #even when i knew exactly where it was #im glad i found it before it got worse
