i do like that totk has shown more of how the hierarchy works in rito culture. like it was already evident in botw that the rito value hardwork over lineage in the case of revali. they don't choose the elder via bloodline like the other races do but rather through merit and who has worked the hardest for it and teba being the elder in totk supports this.
