In a world where everything is low sodium, my family and I actually tend to need extra salt because none of our bodies hold onto it properly; summer’s a particularly bad time for us, since you lose salt when you sweat. My mom’s been trying to remember to drink more saltwater lately, and today mentioned that she needs a cute sign on the cupboard to reminder her to do so. Being the loving, filial child I am, I naturally complied and wrote this up:
[Image ID: an extra-wide post-it note with “HAVE SOME FUCKING SALT!!!” written on it in sharpie and underlined three times]
She made me take it down.
So ungrateful.
(Then again she did laugh and didn’t strangle me, so checks and balances I guess.)

The ability to set a clock by my continual 10pm craving for shrimp fried rice, even if I've already had it twice very recently, is getting old. There is only one 10pm rice to be had locally, even if i put on pants, and it's the wrong shrimp fried rice by virtue of lack of veggies and the rice being highlighter orange. Please body please inform me a need to hire some shrimp to fry some rice at like 8pm. At the latest.

Some elements, such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, can readily move from leaf to leaf; others, such as boron, iron, and calcium, are relatively immobile in most plant species (Table 5.4).

I experienced some kind of pickle madness today. This afternoon I saw a jar of pickles in the fridge and thought "hmm I haven't had one of these bad boys in a while" so I enjoyed one.
Then at 3 am tonight as I was trying to sleep my eyes SNAPPED open and I literally felt like if I didn't have more pickles I would die. I proceeded to get out of bed and eat the entire jar of pickles. Since then I've forgone going back to bed to look up several pickling recipes, research the nutritional content of pickles vs. cucumbers, and fantasize about leaving my life behind to move to a tiny town and sell homemade artisanal pickles. What is wrong with me
