#Life is about daring, risking and trying. It's about falling down and getting up. To heal the wounds and learn from all the scars. It is about dreaming and fulfilling dreams, and enjoying and being a little happier every day. #sofla #fortlauderdalebeach #fortlauderdale #florida💙 (at Fort Lauderdale, Florida) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpacN2Cuo4dTAak7Sc69Or2WQR8QE1nSOyTNss0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Deformed human skulls are rare but the practice of intentionally modifying our heads can be found on more than one continent, and now we have another amazing example from an Iranian Neolithic cemetery.

A cache of strange elongated skulls has been unearthed on the Zohreh plain in southwest Iran at an archaeological site known as Tol-e Chega Sofla. Archaeologist Abbas Moghaddam stated “At Tol-e Chega Sofla, the concentration of deformed skulls in grave BG1 (12 skulls) is striking.” We will discuss this enigmatic grave more below, but first lets learn more about this…

First heard this on South Florida Slammie Awards, Vol. 1, and no, there was never a Volume 2. But shortly thereafter, I got my lame, longhaired greasy ass back to Yesterday & Today's Records and put down some hard-earned folded simoleons for the very LP you see pictured here. What sucks is shortly thereafter I met a gal who for the next three years, influenced me to severely curtail my music fandom. So during the years I could have been going to Churchill's and seeing Load at their peak, before crack cocaine and the depressing realities of the record business as it bludgeoned SoFla bands destroyed Load, I was absolutely not doing so. Probably my second biggest musical regret, after missing that Nirvana show with The Breeders. Or, OK, maybe third, after missing the Five Buck tour with Frank Marino & Humble Pie. But with Load, it wasn't a one night mismanagement, it was three fucking years.
