worst way to start my new year, thanks. i have a lot of things to say about these companies but i'm tired and just keeping it focused to the pin side of things for this one. do not ever buy pins from these companies, literally ALL of them are stolen from small artists like me. if you want to buy enamel pins, check out etsy, and artist's personal websites and shops! (though even Etsy has some bootleg pins that ship straight from china, so tread carefully…)

Every pin I've designed is, thus far, EXCLUSIVE to my etsy. if you find it anywhere else, it's been ripped off! and once these stupid bootlegs pop up, it's basically a never ending game of whack-a-mole trying to get them all taken down...

Au where Sol’s memories are perfectly clear. Like maybe this is either post the transcending time ending or they died in the wormhole or maybe their augment is just photographic memory and it affects this. How it happens doesn’t matter, just that their memories don’t have that dreamlike “wet paint” quality they mention in-game. And since Sol knows their past lives have never been able to see this clearly, they realize this is their chance to finally save everyone like Ancient Sol is always saying.

On the Stratos they’re a fairly normal child (though the other kids think there’s something slightly off about them) but as they get closer to the wormhole they start gaining their memories back. Though it’s only after waking up on Vertumna that they remember everything. And though they try every possible thing to prevent disaster and prove that they could at least see it coming, only the kids believe them. And honestly it’s really only Dys at first.

The others need some convincing, but as Sol gains the trust of more and more of their friends, the adults become more convinced that they’re sick and, as they get older and more insistent, more rebellious, more in tune with the planet itself, that they might be a danger to the other kids. Especially once the Helios land and Lum learns about their burgeoning “cult”.

So yeah is this anything? I just like the idea of a Sol with basically all of the knowledge of the player and, yknow, someone who’s been in a time loop so long that they’re starting to get really desperate

Me after finally learning about the whole genocide plan Tangeant was working on after sneaking into the lab and then being given the responsibility of convincing her then LUM OF ALL PEOPLE to not: HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT

🍄 [MUSHROOM] How likely is your OC to eat random berries/mushrooms they find? Very unlikely unless he is positive of what they are. Pre-Goodsprings he had a pretty thorough knowledge of most wild foods in the southwest, but now his memory of it is a bit too spotty for him to trust.

🏵️ [ROSETTE] What flower symbolises your OC best and why? What does the flower mean in floriography? Marigold tends to be my go-to for him. Honestly partially because it just matches the vibe and is associated with the sun, but I also read that it can be associated with resurrection and honoring the dead which is very fitting. A random site on google says "With symbolism from affection to cruelty, grace to despair, health to pain and joy, to jealousy, longevity to fidelity, and can speak of sacred affection or a constructive loss." Seems fitting with how at odds he tends to be with himself.

🌾 [RICE SHEAF] How picky is your OC with food? What will and won't they eat? Sol is as picky as he can afford to be, by which I mean he will eat most things if he absolutely has to, but he is very particular if he has options. He would rotate between the same five or so meals every day if he could. He won't eat certain meats like radroach, bloatfly, or mirelurk. He will also avoid most foods with a slimy texture.

🌱 [SEEDLING] What new passions/hates is your OC discovering? Well the severe amnesia means that he gets to discover new passions and hates near constantly towards the beginning of canon. Getting to tinker with things to modify them how he wants or just for fun is truly new to him and ends up being a long term hobby. Looking at a few years post-canon, Cres introduces him to music outside of what is just played on the radio stations so he gets to find music he actually really enjoys for the first time in his life, even from before Goodsprings. He learns at some point (again for the first time ever) that he hates riding in cars and gets motion sickness.

blursday!!! do any of your ocs have complex family relationships (had bio family in mind, but found family works too!), and if multiple which one is your favorite?

Oh this is an interesting one. Okay. Time to infodump.

I do love the main quartet's friendship, but I'm not sure how found family it is - and since you had bio family in mind, let's talk about that! Okay so, if we're only looking at bio family, most of the pov characters' parents are dead (or simply awful, see: Darius Averwell). None of them have any bio siblings either.

However, I will say Sol probably has the most complicated family dynamic!! Or, well, most complicated feelings to his parents because they're both also dead. (I swear I'm not doing this on purpose.) See the thing with Sol's parents is that they had good intentions and they did love him, but they weren't exactly the best parents.

Sol's father, a Wolf, left to protect them, but he also left to start a Beast rebel group, and arguably leaving them on their own instead of taking them with him actually made life harder for them. No village wanted to take in a Beast lover and her Halfling son. Meanwhile, his mom tried to raise him well, but sh e had a tendency to point out how similar he was to his father (not the most tactful thing to do). And then she died protecting a Beast child when he was ten. Sol was pretty much left to fend for himself, and the AMA took the opportunity to snatch him up. And despite it all he still did love his parents, so, yeah. Complicated.

Also a less complex family dynamic but one of my favorites is actually from another WIP, Corrupted!! The mc, Sami, has a very close relationship with her big brother, Irumi, and in a way that's why the entire story goes the way it does. Because she's so close with Irumi, she's adamant he wouldn't just up and leave - so she investigates and discovers the sword. Her bio mom, Yuka, is also super nice and super supportive and - gasp - actually survives till the end!!! :0 :0 :0 (Though with a little suffering.)

Sami's father sucks though. We don't talk about him.
