The fact that the Big Mouse company is turning a blind eye to private Toontown servers is insanely generous as it is, and they mainly do so because they are strictly nonprofit. Whenever a private server comes out with merch (I know TTR teased some hats and tote bags recently), you'll notice all profits go to charity for a reason

As much as I would kill for Clash merch, I'd be making profit off a private server and that's where the issue comes in, it puts the game at legal risk. I have asked the team about potential freebie manager stickers to give out with Etsy orders - if I get the okay on those I will keep you guys updated 👍

i know the Willow Mellow lore gets worse the longer you dig inside of it + it reflects even Worse on the writers when you put the actual words on her situation but let's not forget Darlings she is a child. she is 15 to 17yo depending on what piece of documentation we refer to, too young to consent to sex and therefore does not fit the category of "sex worker", and instead falls under the definitions of "sexually exploited youth", more specifically "sexually exploited child", as UNICEF, UNESCO, Convention for the Rights of the Child, [...] and general common sense all define "child" as "person under the age of 18".

she is the victim of kidnapping by her """adoptive father""" and of sexual exploitation by her (presumably adult) "clients" (as she does not appear to have a pimp, and is instead written saying she loves what she does and such giddy teehee fun. Honestly, it's so exhausting looking through both the pro jedi tags and the anti jedi tags. Like both of them make valid points, but both sometimes sound kinda silly. Like sometimes the pro jedi stuff will say the jedi did nothing wrong and I'm like hmm I don't think that's totally true and there's anti jedi stuff that's like anakin skywalker did nothing wrong and I'm like did we watch the same movie?

And then the pro jedi tags say despite whatever flaws they may have had, the jedi order ultimately wanted peace and to protect others and to help and I'm like yes that's true and then there's anti jedi that are like well the jedi shouldn't have used the clones as slave /child soldiers nor used their padawans as commanders and I'm like yea that's true too.

Another bad thing about a potential Jugdral remake is that i can guarantee IS would woobiefy the fuck out of Reinhardt, if the way he's been written in FEH (with the sole exception of his base version) is any indication, with there even being a small, nightmare possibility that they might make him recruitable in Thracia so he can survive the game after defecting and joining Leif.

And I hate it, because woobifying Reinhardt comes at the expense of Olwen's development and, imo, Amalda's existence.

Rein is a pitiful man who favours his duty (heavily implied to be romantic in nature) to his Lord rather than duty to randos - something Olwen can refuse, she might have had admired her brother and be proud to be a Freege Commander, when children are being hunted and locked in cells, she defects to protect and save them.

Amalda can die (as in you don't recruit her), but she's introduced as a NPC who wacks bandits trying to enslave villagers, and later seen mourning about her former ideals, as if she joined the Empire because she believed in Arvis' words but now it has become something she cannot condone anymore - much like Eldie, Amalda tries to talk to her Lord and have him stop hunting children and do whatever the Empire does in Manster, only to be laughed at (but at least she doesn't die).

Ultimately, we learn in her recruitment map that she doesn't stay in the Empire because of traditional Camus reasons, but because she fears for her soldier's lives if she were to defect - and this is shown in her recruitment mechanic, her platoon turns green when she is recruited and is, most likely, slaughtered by the rest of the Granvallian Army.

Hell, fwiw, Ishtar herself, in FE5, tries to ask Julius to stop with the child hunts - only to be rebuked, just like Amalda tries to plead her cause to Gustav, the loser sitting in Leonster.

Meanwhile, Rein follows Ishtar everywhere, and loses his will to fight (and live) not when he discovers children and kidnapped or his Empire is doing nonsense, but when... Ishtar - for his own protection - casts him away.

Who is the real second coming of Crusader Tordo, Reinhardt who mops because he cannot be by Ishtar's side and because he isn't a role model to Olwen anymore - or Amalda (and Olwen!) who protects innocents and mops because she cannot save her soldiers and children at the same time ?

it's just a coincidence her hair is grey like Kempf who also claims to be from the Freege family

The devs didn't make a mistake by making her recruitable, when Reinhardt isn't - and I would hate for an eventual remake to write her out of the story to give her feats and presence to him, or just straight out erase her to make Rein look better by the lack of comparison.

But FEH built a meme out of Reinhardt, when, despite her boobs, Amalda wasn't added yet so I wouldn't be surprised if her role is ultimately given to Reinhardt in an eventual remake (would he also talk to Ralph, or would Ralph be written out too?).

I think collectively we should have come down more on online artists who were so hyper protective of their work to stupid degrees like people who write callouts because someone often traces poses or "heavily references" (whatever the fuck that nebulous statement means at any given time) other people's art and uses it to draw their own ocs or w/e not only because that's a who give a shit issue but the same people seething other that see no hypocrisy in tracing/referencing photos that aren't theirs nor paid for, stock or otherwise, and the thing is like yes that is fair use but they're not doing it from that angle, if they even are aware of what fair use is (which would absolutely apply to their art being referenced), they just see photography as like free game unlike hand drawn visual art, and I think allowing that kind of devaluing and ignorance of fair use and transformative work is what has these people advocating for lawsuits against image synthesizers and tighter IP laws, very mask-off the entire time about how little they recognize the value of work they don't do (ie a common way to dunk on AI art tools is to call them "collage machines" ... collage is a form of art done in many mediums so like okay)

Also I keep thinking about this and never mentioning it but you know all the meme images you pass around, loss.jpg, "haha yes" freak in the window, soldier shielding sleeping child from bombs, fun fact, you did not ask for permission to alter and repost that work! So if you are really married to the idea that transformative work is plagiarism and should be disallowed, I hope you realize, under your own rules, you are consistently breaking them. Or do you just think you're special and the leopards would never eat your face?
