Solomon, as affectionate and open with his feelings as he is in the comfort of a committed relationship, needs his own personal space to just exist in sometimes. He’s more than happy to share this with you on occasion, just as he wants to share practically everything with you, but he just needs an intimate space to call his own, one that lets him retain his individuality so that he doesn’t get cold feet. After all, he’s spent an unfathomable amount of time alone; he needs somewhere to retreat to when his own feelings become overwhelming
Waking up with Solomon in the mornings is a perfect routine, perhaps the only one you share together in your hectic day to day life. Solomon will always wake up before you, and is just an early riser by nature. He always slips out of bed, careful to not wake you, to fix your morning beverage (you’ve come to an agreement that drinks should probably be the only thing he prepares). He’ll place a kiss on your forehead gently, but with the intention of waking you up. As much as he adores your sleepy expressions, he’s been eager to talk to you all morning. You’ll get dressed at the same time, and fix breakfast for the two of you. While you eat, he talks your ear off about the crazy dreams he had that night, which are typically just all over the place
Solomon always insists on making his side of the bed but it’s very messy. He gets credit for the effort, though. He’s a clean person by nature but has horrible execution, which can be attributed to the fact that he constantly has one million tasks looming over his head
Not really anything important to mention but I feel like Solomon would absolutely eat it up if you were a pillow person. Like, the kind of person who has more pillow than bed/couch. It just makes your shared space feel so cozy, and everywhere he goes he sees a little touch of you – it reflects the comfort and peace that you bring him and he can’t help but grin stupidly every time he finds himself buried in pillows
Since he can’t cook he would take you on a lot of dinner dates, so he doesn’t feel as much like he isn’t pulling his weight. Of course, you don’t blame him since you know he’s really truly trying his best, but it’s of course nice to go out so frequently. These little dates are more casual than romantic, but that honestly just makes it more appealing for Solomon, proving to him that your lives are intertwined and that you can find complete solace in each other’s presence
Anyone who knows the two of you will know you as a very established couple. Whether you’ve been dating for a little while or a long one, your relationship just makes sense. The dynamic you have with Solomon falls into place almost completely naturally, giving off the impression that you may be true soulmates. When your name comes up, Solomon’s is sure to follow
When evening rolls around, at least one of you is completely worn from the day. Life in the devildom as a human implies you have a great responsibility of some kind, and neither of you are strangers to work well above your paygrade. Your evenings are spent being exceptionally lazy, getting all the rest you need to face the next day. Even if he’s just as beat as you though, Solomon always insists on taking care of you in some way. Whether it’s through a simple shoulder rub, running you a bath, or just holding you for as long as you need (and then some), you’d better count on him pampering you in some way
Living with Solomon is an insurmountable number of nights spent curled up on the sofa together watching movie after movie. I swear to god, get him tired enough and he turns into an absolute ipad baby. He also probably has an affinity for musicals, but that’s partially because he’ll get to listen to you sing along sometimes
Master of organization. Solomon has a very specific place for pretty much every single item in your home, and often you’re not even sure where your own belongings are. Nothing will ever be lost in this home, but with a small price to pay considering Solomon leaves to tease and beg for affection in exchange for the items he’s moved
The house definitely has a very strong smell, resemblant of what Solomon himself smells like. He’s always concocting some kind of potion or even burning some kind of incense, and so the entire area has a very familiar aroma

Nightbringer mc
You can not convince me that Solomon doesn't have videos of mc chasing their own tail or scaring themselves when their wings touch something.
Ever since gaining this new form, it's been a struggle. Learning how to use their new extremities and limbs. New parts of their brain have been activated thanks to the new physical form. So when mc's wings subconsciously move or instinctively flap, they get spooked and flinch, and Solomon tries so hard to hold his tongue and not laugh.
Or when mc's tail kept moving all on its own, and it was pissing themselves off. Solomon holds up his phone and records his student going in circles like a dog trying to catch their own tail and getting so frustrated " BECAUSE IT WONT FUCKING STAY STILL!!!"

MC-Mackenzie and Soloman

Just humans casually talking about pacts they've made with demons, nothing new.
Both will also definitely share the same opinions about having a pact with Asmodeus, and just low key glad to have another human around in this crazy world they temporarily reside in.
Also, I just love the idea of MC having pact marks on various parts of their body.
I read a headcannon list once about how some of them would be in places as symbolism for their sin.
Like Lucifer on the chest cause of puffing your chest in pride, or-
I just fucking realized I put Blephie's mark on the neck.
Fuck

A Thousand Times, Yes.
Ominis x f!MC oneshot
Aged up, seventh year, mention of sex, possible spoilers for Hogwarts Legacy, canon divergent, major character death, grief, wet dreams, pining, room of requirement is the best wingman.
prompt: Y/N Y/L/N is in love with Ominis Gaunt and has no idea how to tell him. She decides to take him to the Room of Requirement so they won't be disturbed as she tries to confess.
words: 2998
Not beta read
--
You were determined this time you were going to tell him. You were going to tell Ominis Gaunt that you were in love with him. You just…needed to stop acting like a damn baby rabbit and running away every time you were alone together. Two years now that you had known him. Two years that you had gotten to know the proud, honest, kind and wickedly funny guy that Ominis Gaunt hid behind his stoic persona. It had taken time to get him to lower his walls around you enough to let you in, but that time had been worth it. Ominis Gaunt was going to go on to do great things, you just knew it. At first, you’d only been acquaintances because of your friendship with Sebastian, oh Sebastian. He hadn’t been the same since Anne died from her curse.
You’d tried to help him, you really had, but after he killed his Uncle and you, Ominis and Anne decided not to turn him in. Well…Anne had continued to decline. After she passed, you and Ominis had come together to help Sebastian. He had grieved, he had gotten really low to the point where you and Ominis had silently agreed to never leave the other boy alone. Through it all you hadn’t realised that Ominis too was grieving just as hard. Anne had been a sister to him as much as she had been to Sebastian. While you had only just met her, Ominis had been taken in by their family.
The night you’d walked into the undercroft, hoping for some peace from the new popularity that being the “hero of Hogwarts” had granted you, and found Ominis crying alone and begging Anne’s forgiveness for not trying harder, that night your heart had broken for him. You’d held him, and he had let you, and that was when it had started…the stirring in your chest for this boy who never showed his emotions to those he didn’t trust. He had let you hold him while he cried.
Time had passed since then, now your heart skipped a beat whenever you hear his voice, when you see his perfect opal eyes and styled hair, the smell of his cologne when you enter a room he’s occupied recently. You had it BAD and the worst part was, the stronger your feelings grew, the harder you found it to spend time with him alone, for fear you’ll do or say something that would permanently ruin your friendship.
But, you have decided you can’t live like this forever. You have to know if he feels the same. It is your final school year, and if you go on to live your life with Ominis Gaunt as only a memory then you needed to know how he felt in return. That was the problem though, every time you tried to tell him, you’d lose your nerve. He was just so out of your league that you didn’t think he’d ever think of you as more than a friend he relied on.
Not tonight, no, tonight you were determined to just get it out in the open and bear the consequences. Ominis was too kind to hurt you with a harsh rejection, he’d let you down gently and then you could move on. Move on, instead of pining for him night and day, and dreaming of his lips on your own, his body flush against yours, skin on skin. You groaned and rubbed your tired eyes as you remembered the particularly x-rated dream you’d had the previous night. You didn’t even know where the images had come from, you were a virgin, you’d never even seen anything like what your poor lovesick brain and come up with.
You had asked Ominis to meet you outside the room of requirement, though he had no idea what the hallway in question contained, you didn’t want to risk being interrupted by Sebastain in the undercroft like had happened so many times in your attempts to confess. As you leant against the tapestry opposite where you knew the door to be you took several deep breaths and attempted to go over the words you planned to speak to him. You were so absorbed in your thoughts that you didn’t even hear Ominis greet you as he came around the corner.
“Y/N, that is you, right?” he asked waving a hand in front of your face scaring you out of your thoughts.
“Ominis!” you squeaked, “I’m sorry, my mind was…somewhere else,” you said as your cheeks grew hot.
“It seems even when I do catch you alone your mind isn’t with me,” he joked with a chuckle.
“Well…you see…I’m…” you stutter trying to explain yourself.
“Y/N, I’m only teasing you,” he said with a lopsided grin as your face grows even redder, you’ve never been more thankful for the fact he couldn’t see you.
“Right,” you murmur and clear your throat, “Well, I wanted to show you something,”
“I’m afraid, you may be disappointed,” he stated dryly, “Since, I can’t see anything you show me,”
“Ominis!” you scolded with a laugh at yet another of his ‘blind jokes’.
“I apologise, I couldn’t help myself,” he said with a lopsided smile, “I’m sure I will be enamored by anything you have to show me,”
You blushed at his reassurance, “I sure hope so,” you said under your breath and began to pace the hallway. You didn’t realise but he heard your muttered words and as you paced away from him, he smiled to himself, he knew he would love it, because he was enamoured with everything about you. Ever since the scriptorium when you had taken the curse to spare him more pain, since watching you (figuratively) try and help Sebastian and Anne, since standing by your side to help his best friend through the grief of losing his sister, since all those times he had ‘seen’ and felt firsthand your genuine goodness, he had fallen deeper and deeper for you.
He’d do anything to ensure your happiness, that included not telling you about his feelings, because if he was ever brave enough to confess to you and if by some miracle you felt the same, he knew his family would never allow for you to be together, and if they did, it would only be so they could get their claws into the ‘hero of Hogwarts’ and try to somehow manipulate you into using our gifts for their greed. If he was ever able to extricate himself from his family, then maybe he could pursue you, but not until then.
However, despite knowing that keeping his distance from you would be for the best, he couldn’t help but hate how you had started to avoid him. He had tried not to let anyone see how upset he was about it, but the truth is, it hurt him deeply when you avoided spending time alone with him like you used to. So, when you had asked him to meet you in this empty corridor, he had to stop himself from running there to meet you, lest somebody see him and follow. He wanted to be alone with you, call him greedy if you wanted because that’s what he was, greedy for your attention, greedy for your kindness, just greedy for you.
You watched as the door to the room appeared on the wall of the corridor and smiled. The nerves threatened to catch up with you as you turned to see Ominis watching you with pale opal eyes. You knew he couldn’t see you but the way his head tilted slightly as he listened to the sounds of you made you cheeks heat up once more.
“What is that?” he asked raising his wand slightly, a look of wonder appearing on his face, “There’s a new door,”
“Welcome,” you say and open the door for him to walk in, “To the Room of Requirement,” You watch him move his blinking wand around as whatever magic that allowed the semi-sentient piece of wood to show him what places looked like showed him the room you had painstakingly built and decorated since fifth year. The door closed behind you both as you followed him deeper inside. The ceiling lit the room with warm sunlight despite the late hour outside, and plants grew from many plant pots dotted around the bookcases that lined the walls. If you had to describe it to somebody, you’d say it was a library crossed with a greenhouse. A staircase to the left led down to where your brewing stations were set up. There was only one vivarium now, as your need to protect the wild beasts surrounding Hogwarts wasn’t so dire since you eradicated the poacher rings.
The spaces they had once taken up held comfortable seating areas, but nothing else of real importance. You hadn’t spent a lot of time in the room since you had caught up with the other students in your year, preferring to study with Ominis and Sebastian in the Undercroft.
“This is…how did you find this place?” Ominis asked.
“Professor Weasley showed me in fifth year, it was supposed to be a quiet place where I could study and practice my spell work in order to catch up to the rest of you,” you explained, “of course, she didn’t know about the Undercroft, so…”
“You’ve known about this for two years and never told me?” he asked, the hurt in his voice evident.
“Ominis, I…” you began, instantly worried you had upset him, but you caught the slight twitch at the corner of his lips that gave away his teasing, “Damn you,” you hissed and he cracked up laughing. The sound made your breath catch, his laugh was music. “I was worried I’d hurt you,” you growled, “Don’t do that,”
“I’m sorry,” he said but you could tell he didn’t mean it.
“Why do you have to tease me?” you asked pushing at his shoulder gently.
“Because you’re so gullible,” he replied with a half shrug, and you scowled, pushing him again, slightly harder this time to his chuckle.
“I have a right mind to obliviate you and never show you this place again,” you muttered crossing your arms.
“You wouldn’t,” he said, so confident in his assertion that you had to push back.
“Oh? And how can you be so sure?” you asked turning towards him.
“Because, you like me too much,” he replied with a half shrug turning to face you too.
“Do I? because right now, I’m feeling very the urge to curse you,” you stepped closer and poked him in the chest.
“Oh, you do,” he stepped forward, smirking down at you, and suddenly you realized exactly how close to him you were. His chest nearly brushed against your own and you had to crane your neck to meet his blind gaze. Heat flooded your face and you took a step back from him nervously.
“How could you possibly know that?” you asked, voice small and breathy.
His brow furrowed slightly as he tilted his head, catching the sound of your voice, a beatific smile growing on his face, “Maybe I’m reading your mind,” he stated following your retreating steps.
“Ominis…” you warned…or maybe begged, you didn’t know anymore. Your heartbeat jack hammered against your breastbone, and you retreated again.
“Y/N…” he replied matching your movements, it almost sounded like a question.
“I brought you here for a reason…” you said quietly, the blood rushing in your ears making it hard to hear your own quiet voice.
“Oh?” he asked, still stalking you slowly across the room.
“I wanted to tell you something…but…” your nerves were getting the better of you at the look on his face as he followed you, like you were his prey,
“Then why are you running away?” he asked with a slight pout.
“…I don’t know…” you whispered, “I can’t stop,”
“Hmm…perhaps you should, I have a feeling you’ve done enough running from me lately Y/N,” he voice dropped slightly, temptingly, and you were transported back to your dreams from the previous night where he had whispered all sorts of things in that voice.
The backs of your legs bumped into something soft, and you turned your head slightly. You face burned as you realised the room had materialised a large fourposter bed with luxurious deep green bedding that looked like it would slide over your skin decadently.
“What’s this?” Ominis whispered against your ear. He’d reached you while you had been dumbstruck as the room, and how it spoke to exactly what you wanted in the most embarrassing way, “a bed? This wasn’t here a moment ago,”
“Ominis,” you squeaked at his sudden proximity.
“I guess you’re not running now,” he teased pressing into your space, “Now, y/n, tell me, why did you bring me here?”
“Ominis…” you gasped as he dropped his head into the crook of your neck, his breath brushing against your skin there.
“I’ve heard about the Room of Requirement,” he stated, you stood stock still as his lips just barely grazed against your throat, “It supposedly gives you whatever it is you want or need at the time,” he tilted his head so that his lips brushed your ear as he asked, “Why is there a bed here y/n?”
You shuddered at his quiet question and swallowed, gaining the courage to speak from his own boldness, “Because I want you,” you said, and just like that, the dam was broken, “I have admired you since the moment I met you and as time has gone by my feelings have only grown and now I can’t go a day without wanting to see you, hear you laugh, and bask in your presence, I dream about you and wake up wanting, I have never even looked at another guy because I have only ever wanted to be with you, to hold you, touch you…” you trailed off as you noticed how absolutely still he was, how his breath on your skin had grown ragged. “…Ominis?” you asked raising your had tentatively to touch his chest, feel his heart racing beneath the cotton of his shirt.
“Forgive me,” he whispered, “I just, never dared dream that you…” he took in a shaky breath, “…I told myself to stay away from you, but after your honesty…y/n…I can’t help myself any longer,” his wand clattered against the floor as his hands trailed up your arms to where your robes were secured at your neckline, with deft hands he removed the clasp and guided the material off of your shoulders, letting it fall to the floor. You were too astounded to react as he gripped your waist gently and half lifted, half threw you onto the bed. You gasped and raised up onto your elbows to see him removing his own robe and jacket, leaving him in his waistcoat and shirt, a sight you’d seen a few times while practicing spells in the Undercroft and had always had you staring.
“Ominis…” you crooned as he began to crawl over your body. He used his left hand to hold himself above you as his right skated up your body gently until he was cupping your neck and then your cheek.
“y/n…please…may I kiss you?” he asked, ever the gentleman, even after throwing you onto the bed.
“If you don’t, I might cry,” you said, half joking, half serious. He smirked and took a shaky breath. Using his thumb to trace your cheekbone, he trailed his fingers gently over your skin until he could trace the shape of your lips. He kept his thumb on your bottom lip and curled his fingers under your chin to guide you up to meet him.
And then he was kissing you.
His lips were soft and coaxing. It was unpractised and new, and absolutely wonderful. The taste of his breath in your lungs made your head spin. You didn’t know when you closed your eyes but you opened them as he pulled back. “y/n…” he whispered, “I have wanted to do that for a long time,”
“Me too,” you replied, just as quietly, not wanting to break the moment, or to have yourself waking up from yet another beautiful, agonizing dream.
“If I may…” he began.
“You may.” You cut him off making him chuckle.
“Oh y/n, the things I have dreamt of doing to you,” he purred and kissed the side of your neck, “but, I would court you first, take you for a fine meal, and walk hand in hand beneath the stars,” he trailed soft kisses along your skin until he reached your lips again, “Then I would woo you with romantic music, and light candles around our bed,”
The imagery made tears prick the corners of your eyes. As you opened your mouth to speak, to tell him you were happy to wait, the room creaked around you. The ceiling sunlight faded to the silvery glow of the moon and stars, the potting tables and vivarium disappeared to be replaced by a large table set for two with platters of amazing looking food and drink the room must have summoned from the kitchens, and floating candles flew from the bookshelves to light the room with a warm glow as the soft sound of string instruments filled the air.
“What’s happening?” Ominis asked as he tilted his head to listen to the new sounds in the room.
“The room, it supplied us with everything you described,” you whispered, “Including the meal, I didn’t know it could summon food from the kitchens,”
“Astonishing,” he whispered and slowly backed off you, leaving you cold from missing his warmth. Then he held out his hand to you, “Shall we enjoy our first date?” he asked with the biggest smile you had ever seen grace his perfect face.
“Yes, a thousand times, yes,” you replied and took his hand, allowing him to help you to your feet.

HOGWARTS LEGACY SPOILERS AHEAD
NOTE: MC and Sebastian found a non dark arts way to help cure Anne and she’ll be attending their sixth year with them when school starts up again. Also, yes, Mr. Sallow is less insufferable.
During the summer, Solomon had searched for a missing Sebastian who had left home the night prior in secret. Soon he found his nephew at MC’s shop in Hogsmeade the next day where he had a sneaking suspicion he’d be. Here’s a moment that went on after the confrontation.
Mr. Sallow: A few packet’s of pumpkin seeds then if you will. Goes too pull out galleons from change purse, and MC quickly grabs a few packets; sliding them too the older fellow within a few seconds as he fumbles.
MC: Don’t worry about it.
Mr. Sallow: I’m paying in full. He had slammed the galleons down lightly on the table.
Sebastian: I wouldn’t even dare try uncle. A playful voice flew from afar. Sebastian had arms crossed with a smirk tugging his lips.
MC: He’s right you know. Even if I did accept them, I’d send these galleons back with Sebastian so he can stash it where you may keep your savings. MC smiled, a genuine smile with a dash of mischief displayed.
Solomon sighed, scrapping the galleons back into his hand and putting them back in the coin purse. He shifted his gaze between the two and his heart gave way mid glance. For a split second he saw it. Saw something that gave him great grief, and ever loving happiness at the same time. He turned to walk off, but stopped mid stride. Over his shoulder he peered back.
Mr. Sallow: For a moment… It was like you two were your parents Sebastian. He glanced at his nephew soaking in those words, a glanced state that lingered for more than a few seconds. And then just like that he left, leaving the pair feeling a sort of heartache that ran across their backs like a breeze to a shiver.

Ominis Gaunt x GN!Hufflepuff!Reader (Not MC)
[Table of Contents]
Summary: Always having admired Ominis Gaunt from afar, you were a muggleborn Hufflepuff with no hope of ever gaining his attention. Until, one day, you were the only one he paid any attention to. (just pure blushy fluff/ no beta, we die like Soloman Sallow)
Tumblr media
Of course, you knew about him. You had been in Hogwarts this whole time, you were in the same year as him, no matter that he was Slytherin and you were just a ‘lowly’ Hufflepuff (though everyone else who said that could scoot on with themselves, you had so much pride in your house). There was also the matter that he was a rather special case, being pureblood and a Gaunt, and blind. Even those who had never even heard of the Gaunt name would see him out of the corner of their eyes, the pulsing red light at the end of his wand almost signalling that everyone should pay attention. And you definitely paid attention.
You couldn’t help but be selfishly grateful for his blindness at times, when your staring had become so apparent that other classmates, or friends- let’s not mention the teachers- had to gain your attention back and raise their eyebrows at you. “Oh, just staring off into space,” You’d tell them, as if you weren’t always looking directly at a particular space every time. Even your best friend Poppy, as lovely as she could be, teased you mercilessly about your ‘daydreaming.’ It’s already been seven years, and you could only play your admiration off so many times before someone got suspicious.
Poppy had figured it out eventually, though you had been surprised it took her so long. Your crush on one Ominis Gaunt was indeed obvious, as loath as you were to admit it. Though, granted, Poppy had some other things in mind. Rather, creatures in mind. However, once she finally followed your line of sight one too many times, her gasp was so loud it disturbed the entire Charms class, and you had blushed so brightly that Professor Ronen had almost sent you to see the nurse. After assurances that everything was okay and no, you did not need to see the nurse, you really were okay, the professor finally continued on with his lecture.
So, yes, of course, you knew Ominis Gaunt. But that didn’t mean he knew you. At least, that’s what you believed.
You were just exiting the rarely-used side door out of the Central Hall, leading to the bridge that ran above the Transfiguration courtyard toward the Defense Against the Dark Arts building, when you decided that you’d settle on the nearby bench and work on your potions homework that was due later in the week. Since it was your last year here at Hogwarts, all the professors were handing out their hardest assignments yet, and you still weren’t exactly sure how Professor Sharp expected you to write forty inches on the improper uses of dittany.
You were just settling your bookbag on the rough stone bench, digging through for your books and parchment when you heard a noise nearby. Curious, you turned your head and noticed someone standing behind a statue near the corner of the castle, coughing lightly as if trying to be discreet. You tilted your head in confusion, leaving your bookbag and approaching the statue slowly.
“Hello? Are you sick?” When no response was forthcoming, you continued on, “I could help escort you to the nurse if you need it?”
“No, I’m just fine, thank you.” His voice came from behind the statue- and, wait- it was his voice and you couldn’t stop yourself from sucking in a gasp. You could only hope he hadn’t heard the quick inhale. However, his response really didn’t answer any questions. You took a few more steps, circling around to be able to see the side of the statue, and there he was. Ominis Gaunt was sitting on the statue's pedestal, his head in his hands and no pulsing red glow in sight. You felt frozen in your spot, studying the man with your eyes and wondering what had happened to cause the hunch to his shoulders.
“Well, if you’re not sick, then- well, that is to say-” You hesitated, unsure how to phrase your question. Once you pause, not fully finishing the thought you had tried to start, Ominis finally lowers his hands in defeat, turning his head slightly in your direction. You took that as an indication that he was listening, and took another step forward. “It’s just that I frequent this courtyard often, and I’ve never seen you here?”
“You come here often?” He asked, his tone incredulous, and you couldn’t keep your laugh back.
“Well, it’s quiet.”
“Not as quiet as some other places. I can practically hear all the conversations happening down in the transfiguration courtyard.” Once he finished his sentence, you remained quiet for a moment, tilting your head as if this would help you listen. You could hear slight mumbling from the yard below, but likely nowhere near as well as he could.
“Well, some of us aren’t so gifted in the hearing department,” You muttered, shrugging despite the fact that he couldn’t see it. You almost felt bad for the statement until Ominis’ smile slowly grew across his face. “Anyway, sorry to bother. I just wanted to see if you needed any help, but since you’re fine-”
“Actually!” His outburst startled you, causing you to turn back toward him after almost heading back to your bookbag. You noticed he held a hand out toward you, slightly to the right of where you stood, and you tilted your head, taking a few more steps toward him. You could tell his course correction as you walked, moving his hand toward you directly before finally dropping it. “I do- well, I happen to have, uh,” He hesitates, picking at his nails as he stares off in a random direction, “Well, I’ve dropped my wand.”
At this, you felt another gasp well up, studying Ominis a bit more thoroughly before turning and searching the ground of the courtyard with your eyes. Not seeing a wand laying around, you finally took the last few steps toward him and sat next to him on the stone. “Was it out here?”
“Yes,” Ominis answered as you got distracted by the lovely blush lighting up the top of his cheeks and the tips of his ears. He really was charming, and the blush only highlighted the fact. Your eyes kept darting between his milky blue eyes, down to the blush- and hells, he must be embarrassed- and finally to his hands before circling back up. After a few beats too long, he speaks up again hesitantly, “Do you see it?”
Keeping yourself from yelling out ‘Oh!’ you immediately turn your head and scan the surrounding area again. “Out here- what, in this spot?” You jump off the stone, crouching down onto your knees and scooting around to search the area more thoroughly.
“Well, not exactly here. I had been walking from the Defense Against the Dark Arts tower when a strong wind blew, practically knocking me down. I lost hold of my wand and heard it clatter in this direction. I tried Accio but it didn’t return so I tried to search for it.”
You lifted your head at this, intending to look up and ask where exactly he had been standing when you realized where exactly you were kneeling. You were practically right in front of his lap, and honestly, if anyone walked by at this moment they would probably get the wrong idea. If you hadn’t been blushing before you certainly were now, your face emanating heat like a furnace. You clear your throat and stand, nodding and looking anywhere but at him.
“Right! Right, okay, so you were on the bridge when you dropped it?”
“Am I-” Ominis hesitates, scrunching his eyebrows together, before continuing in a quieter voice, “Am I no longer on the bridge now?”
You finally look back to his concerned expression, blinking a few times. You were surprised at his question, he had always seemed so capable. Yet, you supposed, he likely depended on his wand to know where he was and how to get around. This only made you even more determined. You placed your hands on your hips and began a circle, studying more intently before walking closer toward the bridge, looking both ways. Hesitating, and fearing the worst, you approached the edge of the bridge and looked downward.
“Wait, I see it!”
“You do? Can you bring it-”
“Well, not exactly-”
“What?”
“It fell off the bridge toward the Transfiguration courtyard, wait, just-” You withdraw your wand and perform your own Accio to watch the wand wiggle in place, caught on some sort of edge on a statue down in the courtyard below. You sigh, shaking your head with a smile. “Well, that explains it. It got caught on the statue down there, I tried to summon it but all it did was a little jig.”
“A little jig?” Ominis questions you, a smile playing on his lips, as you begin to approach him once more.
“Yeah, y’know,” You began to wiggle yourself before stopping, sighing and approaching before grabbing his hand and wiggling it. “Like that.”
“Oh,” He whispered, almost like an exhalation of breath than anything, but his fingers curled around your own instead of pulling away. You swallow roughly for a moment before he tugs on your hand, looking up from his sitting position. “Could you lead me down to it?”
You were holding his hand, you were holding his hand, okay, don’t panic. You nod before, once again, stopping yourself and speaking. “Yeah, I mean, of course!” You take a firmer hold on his hand and pull until he stands, blushing at the fond smile on his face.
“Thanks, Y/N,” He mumbles, and you felt a burst of butterflies flood your stomach. He knew your name? “I don’t know what I would’ve done if you hadn’t come around.”
“Oh, aha,” You chuckle breathlessly, trying to brush it off, “It’s fine, of course, no problem. Every Slytherin needs their emotional support Hufflepuff.” You kick yourself in your mind, shaking your head, but begin to pull Ominis in the direction of the door to the Central Hall.
“Oh, is that the rule? I hadn’t been aware.” He mumbled, his head low as he walked. “I guess that means you’re stuck with me, then.”
Travelling the staircases of the Central Hall ended up easier than you had thought it’d be, really you only had to tell him when the stairs were beginning and ending and he was able to correct himself accordingly. It had been a little crowded, but you managed to keep him from knocking into anybody as you traversed the hall. Finally making it through to the Transfiguration courtyard, you pulled him over toward the statue that you had seen.
“Here, wait just a second,” You began to climb the statue, pulling yourself upward until you could finally reach and nudge the wand. You pushed it a few times before it finally slid from its perch, clattering down onto the ground. You heard a mumbled spell from Ominis as you tried to climb down, slipping halfway through and beginning the short descent with a wince, your heart spiking.
Except, you never felt the impact, and belatedly registered Ominis yelling out the levitation charm quickly. You opened your eyes, looking around to notice Omiinis’ wand glowing lightly, pulsing as if he was still using his normal charm, and you were slowly lowered to the ground. As he began to approach you snapped your mouth shut after having been hanging it open in astonishment, and watch as he offers a hand down to you. You take it once again, and he helps haul you up to your feet once more.
“Thank you,” You whisper, standing a little too close to him, though neither makes a move to back away.
“I should be the one thanking you,” He mutters back, his voice quiet like yours as if he didn’t want to break whatever was happening between you two. “I’m practically useless without my wand.”
“Aren’t we all though?” You watched his eyebrows raise in surprise, and suck in a breath, attempting to explain, “Well, I just mean-”
“No, I get it. I know what you’re saying it’s just- no one has ever agreed before. Everyone always tries to say that it’s untrue, that I don’t need to rely on my wand.”
“But,” You hesitate, biting your lip as you stare into his milky eyes from so close, “Don’t we all? I mean, especially here, no? In the school that teaches us magic, we literally use these sticks every day and-” You’re cut off by his loud laugh, and you couldn’t help but copy his smile.
“Sticks?”
“Oh, well, you know. Before I came here I had no clue wands even existed. They- well, they really do just look like fancy sticks.”
“Fancy sticks,” He repeats to you once more, shaking his head slowly, his large grin softening to a fond smile once more. You both remained quiet once more before you suddenly felt a touch at your hand, looking down to notice him taking your hand once more. “You wouldn’t happen to want to lead me to our next class?”
“I-” You hesitate, and he seems to get the wrong message, pulling away before you reach forward with your hand, taking his now, “No, I just- I left my bookbag upstairs when I went to talk to you. I forgot to grab it on the way down here.”
“Then, we go fetch your bookbag, and head to potions?” Your smile widens, squeezing his hand gently and receiving a squeeze back in kind.
“I wouldn’t want to make you go out of your way.”
“You went out of your way for me,” He replies easily, tugging on your hand once more. “If you stay indecisive for very much longer, I have a feeling we’ll be late.”
“Then I guess we better get a move on,” You whisper, your chest filling with sparks and sunlight, and you feel almost so giddy you couldn’t contain it. You began to lead him away, and despite having his wand pulsing in one hand, you led him around the castle with his other.
A/N: I meant this to be a cute little one shot but now I have an idea for another fluff piece as maybe a part two to this so maybe I’ll write that if y’all want??

In The Depths of His Obsession - Part 1
(Dark!Sebastian x f!MC, Ominis x f!MC {implied})
Tumblr media
☆view my bookcase here!☆
Part 1 of this teaser!
summary | 5 years after the events of their 5th year, Sebastian has been released from Azkaban. He never stopped loving MC and now is his chance to take what is his, by any means necessary. Only one issue - looks like someone beat him to it. No matter, he will do what needs to be done.
warnings | possessiveness, stalking, slight angst
notes | one person's bad ending is another person's happy ending 🙃
word count | 2K
Betrayal. An excruciating pain tore through his heart as he was forcefully dragged away from the hallowed halls of Hogwarts by the cold, unforgiving grip of the Aurors. His gaze met the faces of those he once considered his truest friends—the very ones who had betrayed him. Imprisoned in the chilling depths of Azkaban, he made a solemn vow to avenge the unforgivable betrayal by those he had trusted above all else—his own sister, Anne, his dearest friend, Ominis, and the love of his life, MC.
Sebastian did anything and everything he could to help cure his sister from the curse that plagued her. She was cursed by Rookwood the summer before their fourth year, and ever since then she would get these bursts of pain randomly, leaving her weak and unable to do anything. He spent two years trying anything and everything to help her, including studying the Dark Arts. Sebastian had ended up getting into a fight with their uncle, Solomon, after Soloman attacked both himself and MC. Sebastian regret what he did, killing his uncle, but he would not let Sebastian at least try to heal Anne, and it was in self defense. Why was his uncle attacking a couple of 16 year olds? However, Anne did not see it that way. She helped turn Sebastian in. When he got out, oh Merlin, when he got out he would make sure to make her pay. He did all of this for her and this is how she treated him?
And then, there was Ominis. They had been best friends since they were 11 years old. They were more like brothers than friends at that point. He remembers the first day him and Anne met Ominis. Everyone was whispering and gossiping about the youngest Gaunt now attending Hogwarts, the youngest decendent of Salazar Slytherin. The Gaunts were known to be a family of Dark Wizards and having strong connections, both through friendship and as well as familial, so the other students were scared of the young Gaunt. And to add on top of that, Ominis was blind, which made him all the more fearful. But Sebastian and Anne befriended him and quickly learned that he had a kind heart and was a sensitive soul.
He showed the twins the Undercroft, where the three of them spent all their time together. The grew so close to each other that Sebastian even thought that there might have been a mutual romantic connection between Ominis and Anne. Maybe Ominis could have officially become his brother one day, well, brother in-law. After Anne was cursed, Ominis tried to help Sebastian find a cure for her. But all of that came to a head in the middle of their fifth year, as Ominis gave more and more pushback, talking down to Sebastian about studying the Dark Arts to find a cure for Anne. As if Ominis had never engaged in the Dark Arts himself, casting Crucio on innocent muggles. Their situation was the same, both of them had no other choice, but Ominis refused to see it that way. Traitor. Sebastian would be sure to find him and make him pay, that is, if his family hadn’t gotten to him first.
The thought of that made Sebastian smile.
And then there was MC. His darling MC. Not even the dementors could take away or taint his memories of MC. Sure, when he was first imprisoned he hated MC. But she was manipulated into turning him in. Or she didn’t know. She looked heartbroken, after all. Ever since they had their first duel in their DADA class, he was smitten with her. And even moreso when they went to Hogsmeade together and took down a troll. A troll. She was amazing. She understood him when no one else did, she followed him through any plan to help cure Anne. She shared everything with him, and he with her. Even things that weren’t his to share, such as the Undercroft of Ominis’ past. Shortly after they confessed their feelings to each other, that incident with his uncle happened. Soon enough after that, he was being dragged away, promising her that he would never forget her.
And now was the time. Because he was only 16 when it happened and because Solomon had attacked them first, he was only sentenced to 5 years, pending good behavior. Of course he was on good behavior. How could he not be? If being on good behavior meant that he was able to see MC sooner, he would be on his best behavior. And if he stayed out of trouble for a year, he could even get his record expunged and live a completely normal life, like nothing had ever happened. Obviously, he wasn’t going to do that, he had two individuals he needed to hunt down, but as long as he waited a year and wasn’t caught it would be fine.
An Azkaban guard walked up to his cell and opened it, leading him to the edge of the island, where a boat waited for him, along with a few other prisoners. Sebastian stood and took a deep breath of the outside air, of the fresh air. His eyes adjusted as he looked around the island, it was evening time and the island looked just as eerie as one would image. The guard lead Sebastian, along with a few others, to a small boat tied right at the edge of the island.
They all listened to the guard’s instructions on what to expect in the next few days, how to retrieve their wands, what they’ll be provided with, and so on. Sebastian boarded the boat and it set sail back to civilization. He sat in the corner by himself, thinking about how the next few months would be for him. First, he would find out where Anne, Ominis, and MC where and what they’ve been up to. Then, he would approach and win back MC. And then, depending on how Anne and Ominis were doing, he would wait a year before implementing his revenge plan.
His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the boat docking and being tied down. The guard from before lead him and the other prisoners off of the boat, and towards the Ministry approved inn nearby. All of the prisoners, well the former prisoners, were given a fresh pair of clothes as well as their own room for the night. Sebastian took his pajamas and waited for everyone else to shower as he was deep in his thoughts. The hot water felt like bliss on his body, it had been so long since he felt hot water on his skin. Slipping on his cotton pajamas and laying on the bed, he quickly fell asleep to sweet thoughts and dreams of MC. Falling asleep that night was so easy since he didn’t have to wear the scratchy uniform or sleep on the cold floor. More importantly, falling asleep was easy because he was finally a free man.
The next day he was able to collect his wand as well as a few other things to help him start a new life. He reviewed the terms of his release, the biggest one being that he could not leave the country for one year and had to check in with the Ministry on a monthly basis for one year. He sighed. Annoying, but doable. His heart ached to run away and start fresh, but for her, for her he would stay. He signed the necessary documents and quickly went on his way.
First, Anne. He traveled to the home that he once knew so well, but now felt unfamiliar. Would he see Ominis with her? Would that be for the better or worse? On one hand, he wouldn’t have to hunt Ominis down then, but on the other hand, it would mean they were happy together and he would have to fix that. Standing in front of the door, he slowly opened it.
“Hello?”
Silence.
He wandered around the small home slowly. The memories of his childhood flooded his mind as he looked around. It was pretty much the same as it used to be. Except, no one was home. Actually, it looked like no one had been home for a while.
He wandered outside to the back and noticed two tombstones. Solomon Sallow and Anne Sallow. Seeing her like that, knowing she had passed away… It didn’t take long before the tears started flowing from his eyes. She was his sister, after all. How did she die? Was she alone? Was someone at least there with her during her last few moments?
All of this was just too much for him. He went back inside the house and slept for the rest of the day.
The next day, he wandered into town and spoke to a few of the people. It turned out that she was never cured of her sickness and eventually passed away. She did have a couple of friends that visited her time to time, so she wasn’t alone. That was a relief.
Next was Ominis. As luck would have it, while Sebatian asked around to find out where his former best friend was and what had happened in his life, he found MC first. She was just as stunning as he remembered. No, even moreso. He watched her exit a store, a couple bags in hand. He kept his distance, not wanting to scare or alarm her. She was still so kind and still had that alluring aura to her.
He quickly found out where she lived and decided that he would pay her a short visit. Maybe he could finally start an official courtship with her. His heart swelled at the idea. Once she left, he went into a local florist’s shop and purchased a beautiful bouquet of her favorite flowers. Next, he went and bought himself a nice outfit, complete with a vest and tie.
He returned back to his home in Feldcroft and got ready for his visit, his heart pounding in his chest. Looking at himself in the mirror, he was now unrecognizable. Gone were the boyish looks he once had, and now a fully grown man stared back at him in the mirror. He looked so similar to the photographs he had seen of his father. He wiped a tear before it could fall onto his cheek.
Now, it was finally his turn to be happy. To get married. To start a family. He would do anything for MC. He would even forgive Ominis if she asked.
He began on his way to her home, interestingly enough it was not too far from his own. It was evening at this point and while he would have preferred to visit her during the day, he could not bear to wait a moment longer. As he approached her home, he could see her living room lit up from a nearby fireplace. He stopped in front of the window, wanting to make sure that she was not busy before he interrupted her. He took a peek inside, and what a sight he saw.
He saw MC, the love of his life, inside sitting on the sofa talking to someone. And who else would it be that she spoke so intimately with besides his former best friend. Maybe they were just friends? Sebastian continued to watch them speak to each other.
He watched as they engaged in an intimate discussion. He watched the way she looked at Ominis. He watched how Ominis reached out and held her hand while comforting her. He watched how she didn’t flinch or pull away. He watched the two of them embrace in a hug that was all too similar to the way he used to hug her.
Sebastian then experienced a specific feeling that he had grown to know all too well. Betrayal. Turning his face, he vowed to make his former best friend pay for stealing the love of his life away from him. He dropped the flowers to the ground and began on his way back to his own home.
If only Sebastian had continued watching the two of them, just for a few moments longer.

*~Insecure~* | S.S. x Gryffindor!MC
Tumblr media
I wrote this in my journal about a month ago, and I thought it was time to share it - I hope you enjoy it.
Warnings: *Not proofread* Angst with a fluffy ending, insecurities (on Sebastian’s side), ‘MC’ insert, fem!reader (she/her pronouns, referenced as girl), Gryffindor!MC (it’s for the plot), Leander slander (I’m sorry), mentions of food/not eating (hint at an ED, but can be taken a lot of other ways too), Imelda Reyes, Ominis x Anne, Ranrok doesn’t really exist as well as Rookwood, Professor Fig is alive, Anne is not cursed, Soloman is still alive - it’s a good little alternative universe.
Word Count: 4674
Sebastian stared at his reflection in the full length mirror in his dorm with a rather large frown. It was now finally the weekend, and he had made plans with MC for a Hogsmeade trip. But, at this point he nearly had forgotten as the time was irrelevant, not knowing how much has went by.
He couldn’t stop. Analyzing every one of his features. The way his nose was a little too flared, the way his cheek were slightly too chubby, and Merlin his freckles - his freckles were just... everywhere. And suddenly he thought - how can she look at me? Did she think all of these things when she stared at her for a moment too long for his liking?
He always squirmed under her gaze.
“Sebastian,” Ominis called out.
“Yes?” he sighed.
“What are you doing? MC’s been waiting outside like a sad puppy waiting for you.”
Two responses ran through his mind that would inevitably lead to different outcomes, he opted for the rather unfortunate one. “Tell her ‘I’m sorry, but I’m not feeling well’.”
“Not feeling well? But, last night you wouldn’t stop blabbering about how excited you were for this trip.”
“Must’ve come in the night - a bug, no doubt.”
Ominis seemed to look rather disappointment in Sebastian. “Alright then... I’ll see to it.” With that, he leaves.
When MC heard the news, her shoulders caved in a little, her body a slump as she sulked. “Oh...” she paused. “Did he say what he thinks it is?”
“A bug - I’m sure he’ll feel better late after some rest.” His words seemed rather forced as if he weren’t sure he believed them himself.
“Should I go check on him?”
Ominis shook his head. “Nest to leave it be. I’ll escort you.”
“And be you and Anne’s third wheel? I’m sorry, but I’ll have to pass.”
He scoffed, “Oh c’mon - we aren’t near the level you and Sebastian are on, and I have to deal with the two of you everyday.”
She sighed, “Fine.”
“I’ll go grab Anne.”
MC kicked at the ground in defeat.
“Ditched now, are we?”
She grimaced, looking up at the owner of the voice. Leander. “Oh, no - Sebastian is feeling under the weather.”
“Sounds like an excuse to me.”
MC bit her tongue - she cannot talk back to someone from her own house. She cannot. But, oh... did she want to.
“If I were dating you - I’d never dare to be away from you - even for a second. It makes it easier - us being in the same house, doesn’t it?” He dryly chuckled. “I mean a Gryffindor and a Slytherin?”
“I don’t believe in house compatibility, nor stereotypes, nor house supremacy.”
“Still, it doesn’t make sense. And you just had to pick the worst of them.”
MC was now fuming. “The worst?!” she scoffed. “I’m sorry, but for someone who as you’ve said before, thinks highly of me - you sure don’t trust my judgment.”
“I’m just thinking about what’s best for you, that’s all.”
“What’s best for me?! And let me guess, you think you’re what’s best for me?”
He shrugged. “Maybe.”
“Well, you’re wrong. And it’s not your choice. And for the record...” She groans in frustration. “Sebastian is more than a Slytherin, he’s a person, a good person, who’s respectful, and generous, and loyal - Ha! He’s a better excuse of a Gryffindor than you’ll ever be!” She straightens her corset. “Now, if you don’t mind - not that I’d care if you did - I’ll be on my way.” She turns around. Her body froze when in front of her stood Anne, Ominis... and Sebastian. All with equally shocked expressions.
Her eyes widened. “Sebastian!” She awkwardly played with her hair. “Ominis told me you’ve fallen ill.”
He stared at her for a moment before clearing his throat. “Yes - well - right - I’m feeling a little better now.” He attempted a casual smile.
“Oh! Are you - are you sure?” She walked up to him, concern written all over her. She pressed the back of her hand to his forehead. She frowned. “You don’t feel warm.” She cupped his face, and analyzed his eyes and features for any sign of sickness. “And you don’t look pale.”
That little voice in his head was going off the longer she took him in.
“Yes, well...” He removed her hands, and held them in his own. “Like I said - I’m feeling better.”
Her gaze held suspicion. “Very well, shall we be off.”
He nodded and linked arms. The couple fell beside Anne and Ominis as they began to walk to Hogsmeade.
“Why can’t we use floo powder?” Ominis asked.
Anne nudged his stomach with her elbow before looking toward MC with wide smile. “Can I just say what you did back there was brilliant!” Anne started. “Putting Leander in his place.”
MC glanced at Sebastian. “I only said the truth.”
Sebastian’s cheeks turned a light shade of pink.
When they got to Hogsmeade, Sebastian turned to Brooke.
“Where to first?”
MC gasped with excitement. “Oh! The sweets shop!”
He chuckled. “Lead the way.”
She grabbed his hand, wasting no time dragging him along to Honeydukes. When they got there she immediately went to the chocolates section.
“Oh ‘Bastian look!” He peered over her shoulder. “They have those bon bons you like so much.” She picked up a box. “I’ll get us a box to share.” She turned her head and pecked his cheek then ran off to go pay.
His eyes flickered around the shop, but when a laugh cuts through the air, his attention is immediately back on the girl laughing at something the owner of the shop had said.
“Thank you,” he heard her say to the worker.
Should he have paid for it? He thought for a brief moment.
“What were you laughing about?” he asked.
She waved it off. “Oh, something about me paying - but I said you weren’t feeling well this morning. So, I bought these - which is true.”
He should’ve bought them.
“Let me pay you back at least... how about with a... butterbeer?” He raised an eyebrow.
“How could I say no?” They linked arms again.
They walked out.
“Remember when I took you here on your first day? Still can’t believe Professor Weasley trusted me of all people to be your guide.”
She smiled at him. “What if I told you it technically wasn’t her decision?”
“Hm?” He tilted his head toward her.
She became flustered. “Well, it was either you or Natty and I might’ve chose you...”
“You never told me that,” he whispered.
It was quiet, and she could sense that Sebastian had something to say, but she beat him to it.
“If we flashback to earlier that day.- I beat you in that duel.”
He groaned, softly. “I’ll never live that down.” He laughed.
“We have a lot of interesting memories together,” she said.
“Oh?”
“Like you completely rejecting me.”
He looked at her in alarm. “I thought you were over that.”
“I am!”
He gave her a look of disbelief. “You know how horrible I still feel - ”
“Sebastian! I swear to Merlin it’s okay - it’s in the past - and I understand why you did it, so... no hard feelings.”
He grumbled. “You should hold a grudge.”
“Well, I don’t.” She intertwined their fingers. “Because I have you now, and that’s all that matters.”
Sebastian pulled away for a second to open the door to The Three Broomsticks. “After you, m’lady.”
She clicked her tongue. “Such a gentlemen.”
He smirked, following her in afterward. “I try to be,” he paused. “Why don’t you go pick out a table and I’ll get us drinks.”
“Okay!” She walked off.
His eyes caught her run into Anne and Ominis, sitting down with them.
“Mr. Sallow, a pleasure to see you here, what can I do for you?”
Sebastian looked at Sirona with a small smile.” Hello, Sirona, pleasure to see you as well - can I get two butterbeers?” He glanced at MC. “And a pumpkin pasty - please.”
MC’s laugh spiraled through the room. It made his stomach flutter and his heart speed up a little. He could get drunk off of the sound.
“I don’t mean to pry, but are you two still courting?” Sirona asked.
“We are,” he said, proudly. He couldn’t take his eyes off his two favorite girls giggling and smiling as if it were the best day of their life.
“Glad to see it, you two are lucky to have each other. Since the day you came into here the day of that troll attack...” She clicked her tongue a few times. “I know love when I see it - you pick up on one or two things in this business.” She smiled, warmly, setting down the drinks and the pasty.
He smiled back at her, setting down a handful of galleons. “Feels like only yesterday, honestly.” He started to juggle their order in his hands. “Thank you, Sirona.”
“Any time.” Her voiced dragged in his ears as he walked away. But, he could hear the small chuckle escape her and he could only imagine her shaking her head.
He managed to get over to the table where Ominis, Anne, and MC were sitting at without causing an accident.
“Ugh - I wish you were in Slytherin sometimes, we could have so much fun together in the common rooms.”
“Not to mention she does look good in green.” Sebastian winked, setting down her drink down in front of her. “I also got you a little extra something.” He set down the pasty.
Her eyes lit up. “Oh, Sebastian, you shouldn’t have!”
“I have a debt to pay off, you know,” he said, jokingly.
“At this rate you’d still owe her a thousand pasties and a thousand butterbeers,” Ominis commented.
“Make it two thousand,” Anne added.
Sebastian laughed, awkwardly. “Thank you for that guys,” he said through his teeth.
MC rolled her eyes, playfully. “You don’t owe me anything, Seb. I am perfectly satisfied with just having you.”
And there goes his cheeks again. Heating up into a blush.
Ominis made a noise of disgust. “A perfectly good appetite gone.”
“Oh shush - ” Anne gently nudged him. “I think it’s cute.”
Sebastian sits down next to MC. She was digging into her pasty, moaning and groaning in delight of the flavor.
Ominis shook his head. “You could at least have the decency to do that away from civilization.”
MC froze in embarrassment, looking sheepish. “Sorry!” She ripped a piece off, holding it out for Sebastian.
He delightfully took the offer. His brain short-circuited when her finger brushed his bottom lip. He taunted her by mimicking her, dramatically. “Oh - OH - that is good!”
Anne giggled.
“You know what? I agree with Ominis,” MC said with mocked bitterness. “This is getting too far, and my appetite is gone.”
“No, no!” Sebastian swallowed with a hearty laugh. “What have you eaten today?”
She looked at him, reluctantly. “A pumpkin pasty...”
His look got serious. “MC...”
“M’sorry, okay? I was worried about you when you didn’t show for breakfast.”
He grumbled under his breath and stood up abruptly. “Let me get you some real food.”
She grabbed his hand. “Seb, it’s okay - this is plenty.”
He shook his head, brushing her off, and storming off to the counter.
Anne meets MC’s pout. “It’s only because he cares.”
“I know,” MC replied. “I shouldn’t known, wouldn’t kept my mouth shut,” she paused. “I’m not even that hungry.” As if on cue, her stomach growled. Her expression faltered. “I just - he shouldn’t need to worry about me to the point where he needs to prove himself to me - I love him - a little too much if you ask me.”
Anne grabbed her hand. “Then maybe it’s time to remind him of that.”
MC nodded. “You’re right, it’s just hard.”
Ominis tilted his head. “How so?”
“you know I don’t believe in the whole house system, but others do - I mean if we were wearing our robes right now people would look at us like we were crazy, red in a sea of green. Remember last time I attempted to go into the Slytherin common room?” Anne winced at the memory. “Yeah, exactly - I can’t get him truly alone.”
“There’s the undercroft - ”
“What about the Room of Requirement?” Ominis suggested.
MC perked up. “This would be a time of need.” She thought hard about it. “Thank you, Ominis.”
A plate clamored down in front of her.
“Shepherds pie - you told me you were craving it the other day,” Sebastian said, taking his seat again. (Have any of you tried the shepherds pie at Universal? I remember it being so good.)
MC turned to face him. She leaned in and pressed her lips up against his, gently. He made a noise of surprise, but regained composure almost immediately and kissed her back. He closed his eyes and indulged in the lingering pumpkin and spice flavor on her lips.
She pulled away. “Thank you,” she whispered. She turned away to dig into her food.
Anne and Sebastian gave each other knowing looks.
Sebastian breathes out, “I should get you shepherds pie more often...” He licked his lips, and glanced at her lovingly.
He noticed her picking at it a few times and she only got halfway through it before saying she was full.
Sebastian’s eyebrows furrowed. “Are you sure?”
She nodded. “Yes.”
“Want to take the rest of it to go, at least?”
“Would it make you feel better if I did?”
“Yes, definitely.”
“Then I’ll take the rest of it!”
He smiled. “I’ll go grab you a box for it.” He leaves.
MC’s curiosity grew, thinking back to earlier this morning. “I wonder what made him feel ill this morning - he seems perfectly healthy.”
“It’s Sebastian - could’ve been anything,” Ominis noted.
She shrugged. “I guess you’re right.”
He comes back with a box. “Here you go, darling.”
“Thank you.”
She scoops the rest of her food into the box.
“Shall we head back?” Sebastian asks.
“Sure!” MC stands. “Joining us?” she inquired toward Anne and Ominis.
Anne looked toward Ominis for an answer. He sits there quietly, until.the silence alarms him. “Oh! Why do I have to decide that?”
Anne sighs, “We’ll catch up with you later.”
MC is about to respond, but Sebastian gets to it first.
“Suit yourselves.” He places a hand on the small of her back. “We’ll be on our way.”
They walk out, hands now intertwined. Sebastian holding her food in his other hand.
“That was fun,” she said as they begin their walk back to the castle.
“It was...”
“I’m glad you were able to come - it wouldn’t have been near as fun without you. How are you feeling by the way?”
He glanced at her. “I feel fine.”
“What do you think it was?”
He shook his head with a small shrug. “No idea.”
“Hm...”
“Don’t worry about it, ‘kay?” he paused. “So... about this morning - ”
“What about it?”
“You know what I’m talking about.”
Her posture straightened with pride. “He had no right to speak that way - about you, our relationship... it wasn’t right.”
“So... you meant everything?”
“Everything,” she breathed out.
A calm silence filled the air. No tension, no worries - just peace within each other’s presence.
“So, I was thinking...” she started.
“Oh?”
She continued, “I was thinking - maybe - you’d want to sneak off to the Room of Requirement with me tonight?”
He began to choke, violently coughing as his face turned red.
She grew flustered as well. “Oh bloody Hell - not like that!” she scolded, reading his mind. “I just - we rarely get time alone.”
He looked around. “We’re alone right now.”
“No, I mean, really alone. No distractions, no - ” A lady frantically ran by, clutching her chest, crying. “That.” She cleared her throat. “Just me and you.”
“Well, what about the Undercroft? Or we can sneak into the restricted section of the library? Or - ”
She groaned. “Why are you arguing with me about trying to get us some alone time?”
“I’m not arguing!” he corrected.
“You’re just being stubborn.”
“Not true...”
“Listen, just forget I said anything.” She shook her head and kept her eyes trained forward.
“No, no, let’s talk this out - so, you’re wanting some one-on-one time - I get it, but why today?” he paused. “You haven’t talked about this before.”
She sighed. “Didn’t think it was a crime - wanting to spend time with my partner.”
“Darling, that’s not - ” He inhales, sharply. “You know more than anyone how much I love being with you and spending time with you - I’m just a little curious is all - why you’re being so prominent about it now of all days.”
“Like I said - just forget it... please.”
He nodded. He linked their arms to pull her closer to him. He tilted his head ever-so-slightly toward her. “I’d love to sneak off to the Room of Requirement with you tonight,” he whispered in her ear.
She let out a soft smile, meeting his doe-eyes once. “Okay,” she whispered back.
He returned a breathtaking smile. “Perfect.”
The castle was growing bigger the closer they got.
“Big game coming up.”
She smiled. “Gryffindor against Slytherin - who are you rooting for?”
“Gotta support my house - but you know I’m always secretly rooting for you.”
“Oh!” she gasped, raising her eyebrows. “What would your people have to say about that? You’ve gone soft.”
“My people?!” He looked offended. “And I have not gone soft - if we were sentenced to duel right now, don’t think you’d get away easily.”
“I’ll hold you to that.” She pulled away when they got to the doors. “This is where I part.” She grabbed her leftover food from his hands.
He frowned. “I’ll see you later then.”
“Yes! I’ll meet you outside your common room at - let’s say - twelve?”
He nodded. “Till then.”
MC leaves. When she rounded the corner, disappearing, Imelda walks up to Sebastian.
“Surprised to see you two still at it.”
Sebastian looked at her, confused. “What do you mean?”
“A Gryffindor and a Slytherin? Sounds like a doomed relationship to me.”
“Doomed? well... you’re wrong.”
“Just give it time. Those Gryffindors - they always have to prove they’re better than us. Soon enough - you’ll be nothing more than a competition and if I learnt anything over my time being here at Hogwarts - it’s that Slytherins always have a way of losing.”
His eyes narrowed as Imelda walked away. Deep down he knew none of what she said was true, but still - his mind wandered. Was their relationship really doomed? And had it been from the start? He thought back to the beginning, but can’t seem to find solid evidence. Sure, they would bicker at each other from time-to-time - but even then he was down bad for her that it came off more like bantering. But, then he broke her heart. Now that was something he’d rather not think about right now (It’s a long story.) He found his mind wandering over MC’s biggest belief. That a house doesn’t determine someone’s path. And a house shouldn’t determine how you see people, it shouldn’t affect anything... it’s wrong. It’s like judging someone based off looks, color, size, sexual orientation, the list goes on... And if Sebastian was being honest with himself - he slowly realized that maybe she was right. ‘Cause Merlin... she wasn’t just a Gryffindor - in this case she was also a Ravenclaw, a Hufflepuff - and Hell - even a Slytherin. And maybe that’s where he felt so small. Because in his mind - he was only a Slytherin - and he loathed the thought of what everyone assumed was his dark path in the future that he truly didn’t want. But, he felt it. He’s scared that it really is true and he’ll lose MC, Ominis, and Anne for good one day. The thought made him sick.
Does he know when to stop? He worried he doesn’t.
“There you are,” she breathed. “You’re late, thought you accidentally fell asleep or something.”
Had he really been stuck in his head for so long? “I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay.” She took his hand. “Let’s go.”
She guided him through the dark, empty halls of the school. Up the stairs and down some, then back up again. (Don’t get me started on that “Off on another adventure” lady.) Then there it was. She looked around before opening the door, and signaling to him to come in.
“I’m surprised,” she started. “That was surprisingly easy.”
“I’m not complaining,” he said.
Suddenly a door appeared.
She looked over at it, curiously. “Interesting...” She walked over and opened it. “Wow...”
“Find something?” He walked up to her and peeked over her shoulder.
A room, dim-lit by a roaring fireplace. A sofa, displaying pillows and blankets. She ventured further in.
“Now this is something.” She felt so warm and cozy in the atmosphere the room created for them.
He followed her in. “And this place just conjured this?”
“It creates what you need.” She sat down on the sofa. “I brought the chocolates by the way,” she said, pulling them out of her bag and setting them on the coffee table in front of her.
He sat down beside her. This caused her to avert her gaze to his face, staring at him with such a passionate intensity, one adorned by pure love.
He shifted in his spot. And there he was, back standing in front of his mirror, staring at his reflection. “What are you doing?” he blurted.
She was taken aback. “Admiring you.”
The urge to scoff bubbled in his throat. “Is that it?”
She frowned. “Is everything alright, Sebastian?”
He couldn’t help it, the words were on the tip of his tongue, it was no use attempting to hold them back. “Are we a doomed relationship?”
Oh.... how he wished he didn’t look at her. His heart sunk at the sight of hurt on her features. Immersed in sadness. He knew in that moment, this expression will haunt him in his nightmares once again - the same expression she shared with him all that time ago when he rejected her.
“What?” she whispered. “Is that what you believe?”
“Imelda said - ”
“Imelda?!” She grew frustrated. “You’re taking her opinions into consideration now?”
“Yes!” he paused, his shoulders caved in. “No...” He looked down at his shaking hands. “I don’t know! Maybe they’re right... Imelda, Leander - I mean, a Gryffindor and a Slytherin?”
“Bloody Hell!” she groaned. “Are you hearing yourself right now? Agreeing with Leander of all people! What’s gotten into you?”
“Nothing! I’m just saying - ”
“What?! What are you possibly trying to say?” She got up and paced around. “Because, it sounds like you’re trying to break up with me - ” She sighed. “You’ve been distant and I don’t.know why, but I know this isn’t you, so please...” She stopped and knelt down in front of him. “Talk to me.”
It was as if the dam broke and all came pouring out. Tears ran down his face while she was quick to engulf his into her arms, taking a place close next to him. He cried into her shoulder.
“I’m sorry!” he hiccuped.
“Shhh - it’s okay...” She rubbed his back, soothingly.
He pulled away. “No, it isn’t - I just - I’ve been feeling so insecure lately, and.everyone is getting into my head.”
“What do you mean insecure?”
He sighed, avoiding her worried expression. “You’re.- you’re so good. You’re kind and loyal and smart and talents and so open-minded, and you see the world so... differently, so beautifully. While I’m just... me.”
“I’m not quite following.”
He laughed, humorlessly. “Don’t you see?! I’m - I’m not right for you. I’m not good... I’m flawed and ugly and I’m so confused on how you can simply just look at me half the time.” He covered his face with his hands. “Because every time I look in the mirror I can’t stand what I see.”
Her heart ached, and her own tears were running now her face. “Oh, Sebastian... When I look at you - “ She sighed. “Merlin, words don’t describe it. Sebastian - you’re beautiful - inside and out...”
He shook his head. He felt her soft hands grip his wrists, gently pulling his hands away. His eyes met hers.
She gazed, longingly into his blood-shot eyes. Its brown color seemed much more prominent as they were entirely a shade darker, nearly black. But, there was still that rush of sweet honey that swirled around his iris’. “You are beautiful,” she repeated. “Yes, you have flaws, but so does everyone else in the world - you don’t know how many times I’ve - ” She cuts herself off. “The point is - we all have out insecurities, we all have our imperfections, but it’s those that makes us individuals.” She frowned a little deeper when his expression didn’t change. “Tell me,” she blurted.
“What?” he croaked.
“Tell me what you don’t like.”
“MC - no - ”
“At least one thing, one thing that you wish you could change.”
Reluctantly, he gave in with defeat. “My nose...”
She gasped, scandalized. “What?! This cute little button nose that I could kiss all day long?” She pecked the tip.of his nose. “Wish I could steal it, honestly.” Her bore into his. “What else?”
He was too enchanted by her to even realize he continued. “My cheeks - they’re too chubby.”
“Nonsense - ” She cupped his face. “To be honest I’m not into crazy cheekbones and jawlines. Yours is a perfect balance and I love them because I can do this!” She littered his cheeks his kisses, he almost let out a giggle but managed to hold back
He released a breath, that came out dreamily. “My freckles -  ” he blurted whilst she was in the midst of cutely assaulting his cheeks. “They’re just - mmm - ” His eyes closed.
Her lips pressed to his in a longing kiss before moved them down, in more of a drag to kiss along his jaw, tracing the outline of his face with her lips, she went up to his temple, then to his forehead - at this point he was dizzy and breathless.
“I would spend eternity counting every one, creating constellations that only I’d ever have the pleasure of knowing about...” she paused. “Sebastian Sallow, I am in love with you, every part of you  that most of the time I don’t know what to do.”
“Don’t stop.”
“Hm?”
“Don’t ever stop being in love with me.”
She gazed at him in awe. “Never,” she whispered.
“I’m sorry for making you think I wanted to break up with you, it’s just - ”
She stopped him. “Hey, I understand, it’s easier for people to get into our heads when we’re in a vulnerable state. But, please just promise me the next time you feel like this you’ll come talk to me.”
He nodded, hastily. “I promise.”
“Good.”
His eyes glanced over at the chocolates. She caught it and widely smiled. She grabbed the box and leaned into Sebastian’s side. As they cozied up together, they found themselves enjoying the presence of each other along with the warmth of the fire. They both listened carefully to each other’s breathing, melting together into the sofa in a state of pure bliss and relaxation.
She took a chocolate out of the box and held it up for him. “Open up.”
He gladly did, taking the thing whole. “We should do this more often,” he said with a mouthful of chocolate.
They laid down slightly, getting more and more comfortable with each minute passing.
She plopped a chocolate into her mouth. “I could get used to this.”
And there is was. Sebastian’s mind went down a new path for his future, one where him and MC lived together far away in a little cottage. Her in his arms all the time, getting to wake up next to her every morning, feeding each other sweets after supper by the fire. Maybe even a family... Whatever or wherever, he knew one thing - he wanted her to be there.
“Yeah...” he breathed. “I could get used to this too.”

If Things Were Different.
Sebastian x Female!Mc/reader
TW: ANGST, major spoilers for late game in Sebastian's story, swearing, Sebastian being an ass (but he feels bad), hints at death, violence, self hate, self doubt, the reader is pissed, you are MC
Dust and debris everywhere, you were sweating from all the fire spells cast to combat the inferi and from the running to doge spells from Solomon. You were kneeling on the ground, trying to catch your breath. Sebastian was to your left and winding up for a spell at Solomon, the lightning energy around his wand gave away his intentions. You cast a quick depulso on Solomon, and in your panic the spell was strong enough to knock him back and he crumpled to the floor, unconscious. Sebastian's spell hit the wall opposite of him, leaving a large crater in it. A few pebbles actually made it far enough to hit you.
"Sebastian what the hell was that?!" Your voice echoed in the cave. Your blood was boiling. He promised! He said no more! How could you have trusted him after he went back on his word before? You were too angry for tears, pure rage had you trembling as your glare met his.
"Why did you stop me? He attacked us! He was going to turn us in!" The look in his eyes made it seem like he was going to curse you next. His non-wand hand was clenching and unclenching. He didn't understand, how could you have stopped him? He was saving you BOTH. Soloman had to be stopped, there was no other way.
A quick glance at Solomon confirmed he was still breathing. You gripped your wand a bit tighter and looked back at him before answering, "I couldn't let you do that to one of your only family members left! You would've -"
"YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I WAS GOING TO DO!" His voice was so loud it had your ears ringing. He was blinded by anger over Solomon attacking you both, over the hatred of Soloman stopping his efforts to save Anne AGAIN. The end of his wand was crackling with sparks, his overflowing emotions seeping out through it in the form of pure magic.
"Sebastian please, if I hadn't done that you would've been haunted by your actions forever." You were trying to reason with him, but you should've learned there is no reasoning with him when he's angry. Let alone this angry.
"I thought you were just ignorant, running around with goblins and playing the hero! But now I know you're down right FUCKING STUPID! YOU THINK NOTHING CAN HARM YOU! THAT PEOPLE ARE INHERENTLY GOOD! HE WOULD HAVE GLADLY SEEN YOU DEAD, OR WORSE IN AZKABAN! YOU COMPLETELY DAFT WOMAN." His chest was puffed out, teeth bared and eyes wild.
That struck you. Hard. Playing the hero? Did he think you did what you did for some kind of praise? That you weren't a kind person but just some attention seeking girl wanting a bit of fame? He always praised you for how smart you are but now you were stupid for saving a life? Where the hell did he get off thinking that?! Tears full of anger and pain started filling your eyes.
His words seemed to hit him when he saw the tears gather in your eyes, the look of pure hatred on your face made him sick. "Wait-" but before he could finish Anne came hobbling in, she took out the rest of the inferi with one amazing and powerful fire spell before falling to her knees. Sebastian could only stand numbly as he watched you conjure up stretchers for Anne and Solomon. You got them situated before rushing out, floating the two of them alongside you.
He had done it again, and even worse this time. He allowed his anger to overpower his rational thoughts and he hurt you again. He didn't really think that of you, Soloman might have tried to get you sent to Azkaban but he wouldn't kill you. Another hit. He almost killed his Uncle. You stopped him from murder, and in return he insulted and screamed at you. Merlin, what has he done? He had to make it up to you. He had to apologize, but he had done that before, no he needed to really change. He had to do something big that would prove that he was done with dark magic, and that he never wanted to get this close to being a murderer again.
---------------------------------------------------------------
It had been weeks, you were avoiding him like the plague. You wouldn't even look at him. He didn't know how you would disappear so quickly or where you might be even going to. Ominis wouldn't tell him either, but Sebastian didn't know if that was to help you or out from really not knowing himself.
It seems that you told Ominis and Anne about the fight that broke out with Solomon. But you left out Sebastian's attempt at murder and skipped straight to you sending Solomon hurdling into the wall out of fear. Solomon seems to have forgotten about the whole incident and was told by Anne and Ominis that he was hit by a stray depulso on accident and hit his head on the side of his home causing a bad concussion. Sebastian sent a letter to Anne swearing that he would never delve into the dark arts again and that he would prove it. He just wasn't sure how. But the answer came to him through Ominis, bless him.
"Don't tell me you're reading that book again." The look of anger and disgust on Ominis' face was evident without Sebastian even looking up.
"I've never read this book before mate. What book are you talking about?" He was genuinely confused. He was looking at potion ingredients and writing down ones that might mix well together to cure Anne's different symptoms, he just needed the one thing to tie them together according to Golpalott's third law to making an antidote. Something new, something no one had tried.
"Don't play dumb Sebastian, the book of dark arts you've been obsessing over!" Ominis had walked over and ripped the book out of Sebastian's hands. But a brief pass over the page with his wand had his eyebrows raised. As if he didn't believe it, he closed the book while using his finger to keep track of the page and waved the wand over the front. "This is...just a regular potions book."
"Yes, I told you I was done with that other book. Look!" He swung himself out of bed and walked around to the foot of his bed. He knelt down and opened his truck before digging straight to the bottom before wrestling the damned thing out from it's hiding place. "I've had it at the bottom of my trunk. I haven't touched it since! I don't want to even look at it." It was true, ever since that day he didn't want to even think of that book. But he didn't know what to do with it so he just buried it in the trunk, hoping to find a permanent place later.
"If you don't want it, then why keep it then? Why not just rid the world of that accursed thing and burn it to ashes?" Ominis sneered at him. He was frustrated, he couldn't believe Sebastian didn't want the book. Not after everything. So if it was true, why was it allowed to continue to exist?
Sebastian blinked several times. Why *did* he not just burn it? Why hadn't he even thought of that? He wouldn't have to find a hiding place. He wouldn't have to worry about it being found. No one could ever be tempted by it like he had been. When he told Anne he had given up the dark arts she was so excited he doesn't think she even thought about destroying it. But now he had the perfect plan on how to prove to you and Ominis that he was no longer going to practice the dark arts! But he needed a bit of help, " Ominis, you're brilliant! I need your help!"
Ominis have him an amused look. "With setting something on fire? I'm sure your well practi-"
"Not with setting it on fire you prat! I need you to get her to meet me in the undercroft. All three of us together." The hope that was reignited in Sebastian fizzled a bit at the small frown that graced his friend's lips.
Of course Ominis knew who he was talking about, getting you to even look at him had become Sebastian's new obsession. Anytime Ominis spent more than 5 minutes with you, Sebastian was on him. Asking how you were, if you said anything about him, if you had forgiven him. It drove Ominis crazy. Yes, he wishes you two could be friends again. Yes, he wanted things to return to normal. But he stood firm on not rushing or pressuring you into forgiving Sebastian. You wouldn't even talk about him anymore, not since the night Ominis found you in the Room of Requirements crying your eyes out. It was then you had admitted to Ominis what really happened, and you had begged him to promise to never mention it to Sebastian, for him to please act like everything was normal. He held you for hours as you had talked through everything and continued to hold you until you had calmed down. He agreed to the promise and was true to his word. But that's when Ominis noticed how quiet Sebastian had become. How now it wasn't Sebastian staying up and Ominis finding him after having a nightmare. Instead it seemed like Sebastian was having them too.
"I don't think she would agree to that, and I will not lie to get her to meet you." His frown deepened, as he ruled out that idea before Sebastian could even pose it.
"You don't have to! Just tell her I have something very important to show you both, and that it will be a good thing. That I want to make amends and show you both how sincere I am about giving up the dark arts...please Ominis." Still on one knee, he pleaded with his best friend. His voice had become a whisper on the word please, in an almost heartbreaking way.
Ominis sighed, knowing it was no good arguing; and praying to Merlin that Sebastian was being honest. All he had to do was ask. Hopefully you wouldn't be angry at him for that if he didn't push you. "Fine. I will ask her. But I don't want you bothering me again if she says no." His tone let Sebastian know that his word was final, he would not waver on this choice.
Sebastian jumped to his feet and pulled Ominis into a hug. "Thank you Ominis! I won't let you down!" Sebastian threw the book into his bag and took off to the undercroft. Ominis sighed again. He guessed that means he had better go find you now.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Sebastian paced back and forth, opening his pocket watch every once in a while. His nerves only worsened as the minutes passed. What if Ominis couldn't convince you? What would he do then? Could he maybe surprise you when you're alone and burn it then? He was sure you'd tell Ominis you saw him do it. Maybe that would work. But he'd rather do it now and be able to express how sorry he was. His thoughts were cut off at the sound of the gates to the undercroft creaked open. His eyes flickered to the book, it was carelessly tossed on the floor a few feet away so when he burned it he wouldn't get burned as well
His eyes went back to the door way leading to the gate and they landed on you. Merlin you were so pretty to him, even with the prominent frown on your face he couldn't help but stare. How could he have been so stupid to have hurt someone who was so beautiful inside and out. How could he betray someone who did so much to help him? Remembering your smile he wondered how did it not pull him out of that book and steal all his attention.
You turned to him and your eyes finally met his. It had been so long he forgot how intense your gaze could be. His heart fluttered in both fear and attraction. You didn't even say anything, you just raised your eyebrows in a way that asked "well? Why am I here?" He gulped, he was ready to get rid of the book. But now he just had to hope this would be enough. He turned his head, raising his wand, and with a quick flick of his wrist and a shout of "confringo" the book was ablaze. It took only a few seconds for it to be fully turned to ash with how strong he cast the spell. Turning to you he gave a lopsided smile.
"I'm done with the dark arts. I've been researching normal ways to create new potions that might help Anne. Ones that haven't been thought of before! Ominis can tell you, he found me reading the book!" His smile faltered as you continued to glare him down. You turned your head to the blonde and leaned gently against him. Ominis nodded mutely. That stung. You both didn't even need to say anything to communicate.
You turned back to him, your lip curling with anger. "Wonderful. But do you really think that solves everything?" He started to apologize but you pressed on, raising your voice over his. "Do you think that changes or makes me feel better about all you put me through? What you put US through?!" You had gestured to Ominis when you used the word "us".
"Wait, please let me apolo-" Sebastian tried again. But you quickly cut him off.
"NO! YOU don't GET to apologize. You said horrible things at me. You did horrible things, even when we begged you to stop. You were horrible to me! To US! I was just a tool for you to get what you want! You were never my friend! I cared so much about you and I care about Anne. But I am a human too! I deserve kindness too!" Your voice raised loud enough to fill the undercroft, tears were streaming down your face.
He felt sick all over again. Of course this wasn't enough, he had done more than just read the book. He had put you two through so much. He just never realized how much it affected you until now. It never really dawned on him how much he asked of you, how little you asked of him. His eyes started to burn with tears as he sank to his knees. That put a dead stop to your rant, your face changed to shock and confusion. Turning his head down he began to beg. "Please. I'm so," his voice cracked, "sorry. I never meant for anyone to be hurt. I-I didn't mean to make you feel this way. I never knew it affected you so much. I just wanted to save Anne. I just wanted to put my life back together. I was horrible to you both because anytime either of you argued against my ideas... All I saw was Solomon telling me that nothing would work and to give up. That wasn't fair to you both. I can't apologize enough, I will spend my whole life trying to make it up to you, and to prove I've changed...even if you don't give me the chance to show you. You two are so important to me and I can't believe I let some book lead me to harm you two in the ways I have."
The silence was deafening. It seemed too quiet after all your yelling. It pressed in on him, but he never raised his head. Even if he could see through all the tears falling from his eyes, he wouldn't be able to look you in the eyes right now.
"I-" you cut yourself off. Should he dare to hope you'd give him a chance? Maybe even forgive him? Now instead of the crushing silence he heard the blood rushing in his ears, his heart pounding like it was going to jump out and present itself to you. His breath hitched, he was praying to anyone, anything that you would give him just one more chance. Anything, anything at all for him to possibly have you back in his life.
"I just don't know right now." Were the words you finally landed on. Merlin help him.

All I Ask of You - Ominis x female!mc
A/N: I apologize in advance. I am not a writer. This is my first (and probably last) fanfic ever and I really don’t know how to use tumblr. I was too inspired and moved by a post by @rosabellatonks that I had to write something. I’m sorry it went in a different direction 😰
Inspired by Phantom of the Opera’s All I Ask of You
Thank you for reading! Please let me know if I need to add anymore warnings! Thank you for bringing these characters to life! I will go back to lurking now…
Word count: 898
Warnings/tags: she/her pronouns, angst, hurt/comfort, implied a little more than friends but not quite lovers, character death, not edited
——————————
She was so tired.
She was exhausted of trying to be everywhere all at once, doing everything all the time. Just existing.
Between the Keeper’s trials, extra assignments, and tracking down Ranrok, she lost sight of the path her friend had strayed too far down.
It was too late.
The damage was irreversible and she only had herself to blame. If only she had stopped him from going into the crypt. If only she stopped him from ever finding the Scriptorium in the first place. If only she had found a cure.
When had all these expectations built up? When did her pursuit of knowledge lose its way? The motions of the Cruciartus Curse were seared into her memory, Imperio ringing loudly in her ears. Why didn’t she say no?
“I’ll be back as soon as I can. See if you can talk some sense into Sebastian.”
She couldn’t.
It seemed only seconds ago, she watched Soloman Sallow’s lifeless body fall to the ground. Time seemed to stop. An unceremonious thump could be heard and then the rush of blood to her ears and frantic breaths. This wasn’t supposed to happen. It wasn’t supposed to end this way.
The next moments were a blur. She remembers racing after Sebastian’s figure into the searing light. She remembers words coming out of her mouth and reaching out her arm but not grasping onto anything or anyone. She stood alone and it was all her fault.
It was all her fault her best friend had lost his family. It was her fault she couldn’t save Anne. It was her fault she couldn’t do more. Be more.
Sniffles echoed around the Undercroft as MC hugged her legs to her chest, the ground seeping cold through her body.
“You went too far, Sebastian.”
“I can’t think right now. I need to leave.”
He had said to meet in the Undercroft, but hours had passed and only she sat alone in the darkness. She was sure she had lost Ominis the minute he heard what had happened. And now she had surely lost her best friend. They weren’t coming. The Undercroft will never be the same again.
Suddenly, the screeching sound of the metal gate pierced the room. MC held her breath, as she saw a familiar red pulse light up the dark room. Taking a deep breath, she began to speak, willing the tears to stop.
“Ominis.”
“What a mess. I can’t believe it. After I last saw you I went straight to Hogwarts. Before I had time to talk to Black, I heard from Anne. I rushed to Feldcroft and found her with Solomon’s body. She was beside herself with grief. Part of her wants Sebastian to face the consequences, another part can’t bare the thought of it,” he sighs. “I don’t want to lose Sebastian, but I don’t think we have a choice.”
Taking a shaking breath, MC whispers, “It’s all my fault. You’re right. You were right the entire time. If only--”
Ominis stops her, grabbing her hands. “None of this is your fault. You didn’t know he would go this far.”
“But I did,” her voice cracks, “I encouraged him to find the cure no matter the cost. I cheered for him. I learned for him. I should have known he would not just stop at the first two Curses.”
“What do you mean you learned for him?” Ominis’ voice raises slightly.
“I learned the Cruciartus and Imperius Curse for him. I praised him for knowing so much,” MC widens her eyes in horror. “I could’ve -- no, I should’ve never encouraged him to go down this path.”
“You were just trying to be a good friend to him. We all were.”
“You don’t understand. I could have stopped him from using the Killing Curse.”
MC’s last words echoed through the chamber.
And finally, she allowed the tears to fall.
“I should have done more.”
The pair wordlessly lowered to the floor, Ominis gripping her hands ever so slightly tighter as her sobs slowly filled the air.
Hearing the shift in her breathing, Ominis pulls MC closer. “It’s okay to cry.”
“There were so many of them. The Inferi kept coming.”
“I know, I know,” Ominis whispers, pulling her even closer into his embrace. “No more talk of darkness, forget these wide-eyed fears. I’m here. Nothing will harm you now.”
“Ominis, what do we do? I don’t think we have a choice.”
“We do. We always do.”
“Sebastian is our best friend. I can’t imagine Hogwarts, or anywhere, without him.”
“He means a lot to us both. I knew you were helping each other with more than just finding a cure for Anne. He never gave specifics, but I know what you two were doing was important.”
“I don’t think I can do this anymore. The pressure--everything--it’s too much. The world is asking too much of me and I’m scared.”
“Then let me be your freedom. Let me be your light. Tell me what your worries are, your secrets, your thoughts…Your burdens don’t have to be yours to carry alone. Anywhere you go, let me go too.”
“But what if I lose you?”
“You won’t. We can face this together. We can save Sebastian and Anne together.”
“All I want is freedom… A world with no more night.”
“Then love me. That is all I will ever ask of you.”

solomon + cold s/o
Tumblr media Tumblr media
✎a/n: i feel like this solomon is a little ooc from the other posts ive done for him but i hope you like it anyways aaa
✰warnings: none, enjoy!
Tumblr media
✉: Req open? POG!!If you don't mind i would like to req solomonxreader.. what will Solomon do when the reader feeling cold, i need more fluff pls! 😭👌Lesson 13 on nb ain't much for Solomon 😔
Tumblr media
Solomon is constantly freezing, the man is literally a human ice box – it must be something about being away from home that has you both feeling so cold all the time but it’s like there is just a constant chill that has you both shivering. Don’t worry, you are definitely in this one together
The moment that you mention to Solomon that you’re cold he’s probably suggesting that you huddle together for warmth but honestly, it’s really only for his own benefit. If anything, cuddling with Solomon just leaves you even colder because his skin is icy cool to the touch at any given moment
You compromise and curl up together under some blankets. As if the weight of a heavy wool blanket isn’t enough, Solomon is wrapping himself completely around you as if trying to trap all of the heat against you so that you can’t ever possibly feel cold again. Depending on how long you stay like this, you might actually end up getting a little too hot
Hot drinks on TAP, you’re always going to have some kind of warm beverage to sip on and let warm you from the inside out, and it’s nice to hold between your hands too. Maybe just to warm your hands up with. Maybe pour a little out the window when Solomon isn’t looking and then tell him how good the tea he made for you is. Which is why it’s all gone. It was so yummy.
Imagine sitting by the fireplace with Solomon! Definitely is going to be one of his first suggestions if you mention that you’re feeling cold. Not only is it a quick way to warm you up, but it’s homey and romantic. It reminds him a lot of being back at home, and it helps him to feel even more at ease – especially because it’s a feeling that the two of you can share. Even though his feet are still FREEZING, this thought can at least warm his heart
If you’re cold a lot, then Solomon is thinking about ways to keep you warm even when you aren’t with him. Some common gifts include blankets, hoodies, fuzzy socks, etc. He can’t pass up any remotely warm looking item without thinking of you, so he of course had to get it
Always makes sure that you don’t leave your home without layering up. Honestly, he sounds a little bit like a mother making sure that you bring a jacket, telling you to make sure to wear a hat and keep your head warm, making sure you have proper socks on – his love language is definitely acts of service
Will offer (more like insist) for you to wear one of his sweaters or hoodies to warm up in, concocting some story about its mysterious origins and how its enchanted with the warmth of 100 suns and about how he almost died retrieving it (he got it at costco) (please just wear his clothes)

I'm gonna to be greedy here.
Listen, Demon Mc right?
But let me tell you her demon form(using a female body here so sorry fellas)
Mc's demon form was this:
Black and gold were the main colors of her outfit, a tub puffy crop tip with golden sparkles in the end. She wore a long black skirt with fading to gold in the end. she had golden cuffs on her wrists and ankles, and a golden see-through vail with tear-drop headpiece jewelry. (now depending on the scenario mc will change from wings to tail) her wings were feathers and placed on her lower back.
Now the sceario:
Mc had just turned to a demon and no one knew what her demon form looked like yet(barbs maybe knew but I don't know~). Know it was the 10-year anniversary of the three realms having peace and obviously it was a big event. Mc got to see luke and siman and Soloman(he definitely asked about having a pact) again and the three catched up.
soon enough the day of the part arrived, Mc had practicing with barbs lately to see if she could get her form out but it hasn't been easy. the only thing so far that appeared were her horns.
And on the big night when Diavolo concluded his speech and everyone turned to their natural forms.
Mc did it. she changed into her demon form. there she stood with a very proud smile on her face
(reaction.
sorry if its long!😅)
Hello! Sorry for the long wait, here it is! Enjoy
the brothers when mc changes forms
-> brothers x mc
mc is female, not proof read
content warnings: mentions of alcohol use, mentions of being drunk
-----
Lucifer
he knew you had trouble with switching forms, so he's proud you finally managed to do it
as such an important event too
if lucifer had drunk a ton of demonus to the point of being completely wasted, he'd have taken the microphone from diavolo and declare how proud he was of you at that moment
Mammon
almost malfunctions on the spot the second he saw you
he loves you, and he loves gold, and he loves-
the list goes on, he's lowkey scared to talk to you but if anybody else even comes close
'yo, what do ya think you're doin'? she's my human' yes he still calls you his human
Leviathan
if he could be completely honest, he was spaced out during diavolo's whole speech
that's why he barely noticed you switched forms, until something sparkly caught his eye that wasn't mammon's new watch
levi wants to run away, how can he speak to somebody who looks so cool?
Satan
he was at the party against his will, it would be like every event hosted by diavolo with lucifer screaming at everybody to look 'presentable'
this time, he secretly changed into fluffy cat slippers in the middle of the speech, as a little 'rebellion' towards his brother
if he knew you'd transform he would never have done that
Asmodeus
loses it in front of everybody
squeals over how good you look, the outfit is perfect, the fitting, shape and everything
he demands you have a whole photoshoot one day in your demon forms
when asmo says 'photoshoot' he means a whole day of carrying professional equipment around to different locations for photos
Beelzebub
his full attention was on the food, he didn't notice anything until you decided to talk to him
'oh you did it, you look great :))'
beel then invites you to leave the party early together because a new restaurant opened but a few blocks away
Belphegor
poor guy was almost falling asleep on his feet due to how boring this party was to him
he was dozing off until the applause after the speech woke him up, that's when he saw you
and yes, he thinks your demon form looks good, but he still wants to sleep right now

I’m all in for that
Anything is possible with a little of imagination and thirst <3
(Random fact of the day: Michael was one of my main motivations to start writing OM fic to begin with, and the old thing I wrote about MC living in the Celestial Realm was supposed to be a Michael x MC x Lucifer fic but I got cold feet and changed it before I posted it lol)

GO OUT WITH ME ? PART 1 / PART 2
— details ; brothers x gn! reader ; head-cannon based ; 〘🐙〙 ; obey me m.list ; they/them/you/yours
— summary ; mc asks the brothers out , they’re feeling extremely bold today … part 2
— requests are open as of 1/9 , although updates will be slow —> 19 match-ups left
— a/n ; requested by @youseebbiggirl
•❅────────✧❅✦❅✧────────❅•
DIAVOLO
“ go out with me , i like you 🫣”
he doesn’t even hesitate and replies immediately he’s so happy.
despite being the future king of devildom he was so excited that you asked him out.
even though he wanted to confess to you first with a big lavish day of expensive dinners , gifts , a stroll in the royal garden and stargazing but he doesn’t care for all that anymore when he sees the text.
“ yes of course i would ! would tomorrow be good for you ? :) “
diavolo can’t just stroll down to the house of lamentation due to the stacks of papers he has to get done. [ barbatos and lucifer will have his head ] so he spams you with texts , continuously apologising for being too excited.
that night he could not sleep.
he tossed and turned in his bed , occasionally letting out a big goofy smile and squeezing his pillow.
•❅────────✧❅✦❅✧────────❅•
BARBATOS
“ I LIKE YOU. GO OUT WITH ME PLEASE 😀”
barbatos chuckles to himself , finding it amusing how expressive you are on text compared to reality.
he wouldn’t be that surprised , although more flattered since out of everyone you chose to take a liking to him.
fun fact he likes you too.
“ mc i would love to. would you like me to plan out something for us or would you like to choose ? “
he may not seem like it on the outside but deep down his heart is doing backflips.
he’s been trying to court you for a long time but has either been too busy , finds it inappropriate or too scared.
maybe you finally realised and took the first step and it was finally time for him to man up and confess , now that he knows you feel the same way.
•❅────────✧❅✦❅✧────────❅•
SIMEON
“ hey so you’re pretty … i like you anddd would you please go out with me. “
simeon giggles with a bright red face.
he’s been called pretty by a lot of people before but there’s something about , you , specifically calling him pretty that makes his whole being flutter.
his hands start slightly shaking , he stares at the message for quite a long time too.
after a while of pondering simeon decides to head to the house of lamentation instead. [ probably because he also sucks at technology. ]
simeon stops by the flower shop to get you a bouquet of your favourites along with some snacks.
hopefully you don’t mind a clingy simeon staying over for that night.
•❅────────✧❅✦❅✧────────❅•
SOLOMAN
“ go out with me harry potter , i like you. “
he’s such a little shit part 2.
“ were you too shy to ask me out in person ? but yes ill go out with you , since you asked so nicely. “
he has such a goofy smile on his face , he’s already thinking about what fun activities you both can enjoy.
or maybe just a movie marathon , oh how about stargazing ? maybe just a picnic ?
soloman sat there staring at the floor and smiling at all the possible thoughts of a date night that he doesn’t even notice his ddd pinging for your message. [ now he sets a special sound just for your texts notifications ]
eventually , he probably has a teleportation spell he used to teleport outside your room and knocks on it a few times.
after you tell him you did reply he feels quite embarrassed and starts stuttering and blushing.
•❅────────✧❅✦❅✧────────❅•
LUKE ( PLATONIC )
“ luke !! have you tried baking macarons ? “
macarons ?
it’s that one really sweet human treat right ?
“ i haven’t , do you want to try baking them together ? purgatory hall is open whenever ! “
in the flash of light , you bought the necessary ingredients and knocked on the big white doors of purgatory hall.
the day was spent with both of you baking together as you guided him along the way.
with many of lukes failed attempts , he begged you to just make it while he makes the filling but after some convincing he tries again.
and boom he successfully makes a batch for himself.
soloman , simeon , luke and you spend the rest of the day together enjoying the freshly baked treats and binging fantastic beasts.
