Once again it seems that everyone is either demanding parasocial adoration or parasocial vitriol of taylor swift and i just dont care you guys. I dont care. Shes just any other pop singer to me, she has some songs that are bops that ill leave on if they come on the radio but for the most part i dont really give a shit either way. I dont care if you dont like her lyrics, i dont care if you think shes personally responsible for war and poverty or whatever the fuck. Can we just let this shit go already you are making this site unusable

Something I keep thinking about from TBOSBAS is just how consistently Dr. Gual’s worldview is proven to be wrong. For all her and Snow’s talk of “this is who people are when released from control,” all three of the games we see in the series prove that wrong time and time again.
Lamina mercy kills Marcus to save him from further pain and suffering. Reaper spends his whole time in the arena — to his dying breaths — honoring the dead around him. Katniss sings to Rue as she dies and openly, publicly mourns her death. Thresh saves Katniss’s life, not for his own benefit, because arguably she is one of his biggest threats still in the arena at that point, but out of love for Rue. Mags volunteers for Annie. The Morphlings sacrifice themselves for Peeta and Katniss.
That is Gual’s “humanity unmasked.” Even when their own lives are at stake, even when they are pitted against each other in a literal fight to the death, these children’s love and compassion and humanity still finds ways to come through. Because Lucy Gray is right, there is an inherent goodness in us all.

Head empty, just thinking of that yes, Mitsuri is the first woman Obanai learns to love, but consider this; Shinobu being the first woman he respects.
Imagine Obanai still not a Hashira yet, going on a group mission with Shinobu leading and he's like "God how come she became a Hashira when she can't even behead a demon most girls in the corps are weak and they don't take this whole things seriously smh"
Then the demon comes and Shinobu only stabs him once and the effect is tremendous, leaving what was once a strong demon to be a writhing, agonizing creature choking for air as his skin turns dull and the scent of wisteria poison lingers in the air, almost like some kind of warning to other nearby demons.
And the unbothered look on her face? The absolute no hesitation??
Good leadership + able to remain composed + smart and strategic + doesn't let her weakness define her capabilities = worthy of respect.
Mitsuri is Obanai's first love, and Shinobu is his first lady friend that he actually genuinely respects and likes.
(bonus that Obanai would trash talk about Giyuu with Shinobu and she constantly shuts him up cause she wants to befriend Giyuu and Obanai has no freaking clue why and what she sees in him. Judging friend but with concern intent).

watching some 90's moomins whilst I watercolor some Snufkins! (and a sneaky lil snufmin aswell... this can't be stopped)
I kept having repeated dreams with some of the characters, and finally looked up what these guys were from after wracking my brain... and thus, I have rediscovered the moomins!
its strange, I read the books (finn family moomintroll, and comet in moominvalley) a ton as a kid, but I remember those times more like dreams than actual concrete memories. Strange, huh? Tove Jansson's stories really do put you into some sort of dream-headspace, it's pretty cool.
anyways, without me noticing snufkin casually shaped my personality as a kid...

This is so interesting to me, haha just indulge me for a moment…
I’ve seen some arguments of people saying that Tharn gave in too easily when Phaya was apologizing on the verge of a full on break down in the hall at work… and I just don’t think that’s true, because in that moment it’s not ‘we just met 6 months ago’ (or however long it’s been) Phaya and Tharn talking, it’s the ‘we’ve been fated for multiple lifetimes’ Phaya and Tharn… I think we all need to remember that regular rules of engagement don’t necessarily apply to Phaya and Tharn, they’re dealing with a whole other set of circumstances… while Tharn obviously may not be thinking “oh my one true love for centuries is about to have a full on break down I need to fix this because I can’t stand seeing him upset” I do feel that Tharn sees just how distressed Phaya is and he understands, having felt the same way whenever Phayas been in danger, that these emotions are bigger than Phaya, difficult to understand and even harder to control. If he doesn’t forgive (which lets he honest he already did a long time ago, he’s just been too stubborn to say it) him, he himself won’t be able to go on feeling anywhere near okay knowing just how upset Phaya is…
This isn’t the reconciliation of a pair of workplace acquaintances turned best friends with mutual crushes on each other, it’s more akin to that of a couple who’s been together for a decade. Both Phaya and Tharn have admitted multiple times that they feel as tho they’ve known each other far longer than they actually have, so I think it makes a lot of sense to view their entire relationship through the lens of: it’s the feelings and emotions of a long term, deeply committed relationship just without the time line it would normally take to get there.

I think part of what makes Adrian Shephard being eternally stuck in limbo so tragic, is how he's so genuinely resourceful that even the Gman was taken aback. By all accounts an ordinary man, with no special powers or incredible attributes, but an ordinary man who proved such a threat to the overarching plan of two elder gods that he had to be contained. Adrian Shephard has proven to be the hardest being to kill across three dimensions, but he's been all but forgotten to the world he helped save. We may never see him again, despite all he achieved, all we saw him through. It's criminal, downright wrong.

Here she finally is! Well both of them actually cuz I wanted 2 give the random asf spider husband a redesign as well cuz he fr needed it.
The fact that they didn’t use them as some sort of a double enemy duo in the game which would’ve been more threatening and challenging since u gotta deal with both of these spidery spooks.
Also forgot 2 mention from my redesign post that I wanted ti add to the already existing concept in the game with the whole “making the toys life like” but “also add animal dna to make them more believable” but as in consequences that causes their inner feral animal 2 act out and attack anyone if feel threaten. :0
Also I reused MLL old design concept 4 this cuz it’s cute and mad they didn’t go 4 that and instead use the simple bland one.🧍‍♂️

Bagi made some excellent points about the nature of lore and character expectations on the qsmp today, and I have some thoughts:
You can tell that straight-to-streaming shows have rotted ppls brains when it comes to media literacy, people don't give themselves time to think about what's going on in regards to lore and just jump to immediately wanting to know all of the answers. The characters don't work like that! People don't work like that, there are so many factors on the qsmp that require a lot of thorough investigating whenever something happens, and it's especially valuable to remember that canonically, a lot of the members have been here a lot less than others, they don't know everything about every character, every event that has shaped dynamics on the server. Metagaming is the most annoying thing for a chat to do; you may think you're helping speed things along, but it just ruins so much, particularly in roleplay where genuine reactions are SO key to shaping where a story goes.
Theories are so fun to have whilst we wait for an arc to play out, because there's so much fun in not knowing, and finding things out along with the character you choose to watch, even if you know certain aspects from other qsmp streamers. However, a character, or worse, the person playing them shouldn't be berated for simply not knowing everything. It is a privilege that our qsmp cc's are so dedicated to doing lore for us, it's not something they're obligated to do at all, and some people take it far too much for granted.
(it's also a given to not expect lore all the time!! the dynamics of the cc's on the server have become so strong bc of the meetups, etc, you are not entitled to receive lore all the time, just let your cc's be silly sometimes!)

If you dont know the difference between nudity that just exists in the context of human bodies existing and sexual nudity i really dont know how to help you. Like i dont consider a lot of things "inappropriate for children" because i dont consider portraying some god character or whatever as nude inherently inappropriate. Like if it makes sense in the narrative and isnt clearly for a sexual gaze then i dont actually see any issue with it.
This is where i think a lot of western anime fans in particular really lose the plot around it. Like yeah, im not under any impression that there isnt a real problem with misogynistic fanservice in the anime industry, but i dont think the scene in Madoka Magica where Madoka and Homura hold each other while she ascends to godhood is inappropriate or sexual, it's clearly supposed to be a very vulnerable and intimate moment with no sexual undertones whatsoever. I don't think the infamous "Come, Sweet Death" scene in End of Evangelion is inappropriate, why would a god have a concept of nudity at all? (Although yes, there's a lot of fanservice in Evangelion. It's borderline Freudian sometimes. But you get that in any 90s anime for adults. Some of them you really have to take on a case-by-case basis. And honestly I'd still let my little sister watch it with a few eye covering moments because it's not like the ENTIRE show is made completely inappropriate and unwatchable and corrupting because of a few boob shots, the vast majority of it is like, fine.)
Not every culture or even every filmmaker within your own culture has the same ideas about nudity as a christian puritan does. Not all nudity is sexual. Tons of nudity is completely fine for children to see. There is nothing inherently sexual about a human body.

Okay hi I have more takes about the new Percy Jackson show from my earlier post so here they areee:
- the wheelchair representation with the one camper who was really good at bow was super cool!
- the camp is a neurodivergent community and I love it
- I hate Luke but props to him for drinking the respect women juice bc at least he recognizes how good of warrior both annabeth and Clarice are
- chiron is perfectly played as his character has an aire of authority but also kindness, but I like that we get to see his emotional/tense/unfair side too
- the costuming for this show must've been so easy lmaooo
- but the SETS omg especially the cabins?? Banger
- the SOUNDTRACK??? esp that song when percy's godly parent is revealed is so good
- my one criticism is that I think Dionysus should serve more cunt, and Gabe should be meaner/ abusive..? I like the direction the show went with Sally being the focus and like she's so badass but if they're gonna include the Medusa scene from the end of the book I just feel like the abuse part of this is missing ykwim? And that was really satisfying to see Sally able to liberate herself and get out of that toxic relationship in the book
- anyway Dionysus trying to get Percy to get him liquor was so funny bc like can you imagine Percy as his son and also props to him trying
- the characters feel so appropriately middle school and not in the way that audience members cringe at them but they are properly young (as they should be it really makes the point). But like they're so endearing too and the flossing??? Like BAHHAHA Percy please it was a great touch (also the gecko/iguana/lizard thing was so cuteeee)
- I know this is far ahead but I can't wait for the actors to age with the series like it's gonna be so sweet and it'll actually match the books ahhh

It’s been a “while “since I rewatched Towl first episode (episode 4 supremacy 😁) and some thoughts crossed my mind:
The budget was budgeting! Real Cinema feel! If we got episode 1 budget for all episodes or money for 2 more episodes Towl would have been real close to a 10/10 on rotten tomatoes
They really lay everything down for the season on that episode. It hits different when you have seen the whole thing.
Rick was really going through it😢
Seeing that scene and hearing Rick yell Michonne name ( à la Mulder and Scully😏) I kept thinking that Rick could have dreamed of a scenario where Michonne is the one on that bridge blowing up and he’s the one trying to get to her😭 yelling her name.
I really hope we get some more AU/dreams cut scenes of them on the DVD/blu-ray and more of this:

I'm finding surprising the popularity of 'Bruno is Mirabel's papa AU'
It's actually makes his actions way less sympathetic. Leaving your niece who has her parents is one thing. Leave your daughter all alone after probably the most traumatic experience in her life is another. Especially considering that most of 'Papa Bruno' AUs have Bruno as a single parent. So he just leaves her as an orphan. And five years old is enough to know that your tíos aren't your parents. Just what would Mirabel think if her dad dissapeared after she didn't get a gift?

when hae-in demands him to say something “why…you’ve been lying through your teeth all this time” and hyun-woo says “I found it on my way here," i interpret that as "i found the reason why i should still fight for us on my way to Germany" and when he mentions the lock he’s talking about the love they once shared. the love that's always been there but in a place they don't go anymore (comfort levels).

Yk what i find interesting? The fact that everyone's secret task to some extent are related to doing normal things on episode one (building a base l,talking to other people ect.) But Bigb's seems more like something a red life would have.
His task was literally to dig a big hole that multiple people have said someone could fall into, jimmy (i think) thought it was a trap so in other words its giving red life things.
Also, everyone elses papers that show up when they get their task were white but Bigb's is red. In grian's video he mentioned that they have special tasks for red life's so could this be that? Then that begs the question as to why bigb has a red life task.

i don't get people hating on recoded
it has super fun gameplay
"it doesn't make sense with the lore" ermm yeah it does. Him handling the hurt has to do with what Sora faces in kh3. it also has to do with data worlds in union x mobile game and Maleficent remembering being there.
it has one of the cutest Sora and Riku dynamic. Riku gets kidnapped and Sora has to go and save Riku.
also many cutscenes show them together in different worlds. It's what they always wanted to do together and they are flirting throughout them
They are so cute almost too much for me to handle
also the ending didn't happen
they kissed and are dating at the end
