amidst the current fiasco like.. yes i agree that white people on this website have never cared this much about people of color getting targeted and banned by staff, and theyre showing their true colors when they suddenly are up in arms about a white woman being targeted when they never gave a shit about all the black users this happens to. and if the rumors that the white woman in question is racist are founded in something then yeah thats bad and itd be particularly shitty, if not surprising, if white people could only muster up some reaction to specifically racist white women being targeted.

but like. i think in the middle of a transmisogynistic harassment campaign against a trans woman on here, any accusations people want to make against her character, if now is really even the appropriate time to make them at all, should be backed with real actual evidence. if not then its literally just adding to the harassment. and tbh i have felt for a while that the degree of scrutiny levelled at white trans women for the reblogging of casually racist posts is much higher than it is for other white people, which is not to say that it doesnt matter or shouldnt be called out at all, but which is to say that it seems purposeful that attention is brought to trans womens missteps so much more than to anyone elses, if that makes sense?
