for me… FOR ME..!!! and for shri’iia specifically the lock in for astarion’s romance is his graveyard scene in act 3.

i think it is too quick for shri’iia to be moving on to another relationship considering her previous one was with her mistress who essentially groomed and isolated her for like … more than hundred years. learning to chase her own desires and not moulding herself to what anyone wants her to be is something so new to her…!!! and something that she’s still learning how to be comfortable with….

and what I like abt romancing astarion with her is that I usually go for the dialogue path in his act 2 confession scene where you can ask him:

- what do YOU want to do?

and he goes like honestly idk what we’re doing but /this/ is nice. it just feels like two people exploring the option to love for the first time and taking things in their own pace rather than jumping straight into the relationship. they’re going at a snails pace… they don’t know what they’re doing but they like this feeling and the vibe and they want to more of it but they’re not ready to commit to anything yet and it’s fine for them …!! and they’re only committing by the end in the graveyard scene where significant time has passed and they’ve learnt a little more about themselves and they’re both more confident about their own desires and also how they want to be loved.

like it is so fitting I think… and sweet… not to mention astarion being a high elf & a vampire and shri’iia being a drow, they have all the time of the world for themselves so I def think they would want to take their time. except if shri’iia turns into a mindflayer or drider by the end then that plan is out the window lol

Honestly I'm really tired of people just unapologetically refusing to be critical of @03 regardless of what BS they pull. They are not your saviors or your friends. Non-profit or not, they are just a website, and you, as one specific user, are not important to them. Neither am I.

And if you are critical, you're an anti. Like be reasonable with me, I don't care about thirty year olds writing porn about the teens from Haikyuu or someone's seven year age gap fic. I care about their refusal to confront racism and racist harassment (despite making a pledge to do so), their allowance of RPF smut fic about REAL LIFE children (NOT their characters, the actual actors), and their middling to positive stance on AI ('well it would be impossible to ban outright'. okay?? at least make a rule against it and try. at least TRY to embed things that make scraping harder).

#breathing deep and I recognize I shouldn’t use tumblr as a journal but this is my coping mechanism #and I need it rn lol #so the situation is worse than I thought #emergency rental assistance only covered my moms rent until January rather than February #the property never told me it was late #now they tell me today I need to pay two full months’ rent or my mom’s evicted #so I spring into action and I’m panicking tf out today #and I get a hold of my mom’s social worker at aging and long term care #bc she got approved for their housing voucher!! and I thought it was already submitted!! #the whole POINT of emergency rent was that it would give them a few months to get her on housing #but no - two months AFTER it ends she finally gets the voucher #actually she doesn’t even have it yet. they submit the paperwork April 3rd #so it won’t even take effect next month. meaning I actually need to pay THREE month’s rent #nearly $3600 with $150 in late fees tacked on #I’m. a mess today. esp after finding out someone stole my passport and was trying to steal my identity #but that didn’t stop me and we found an emergency service that will pay backrent when someone’s facing eviction. #it can take 8-12 weeks (!!!) to process but I gave the necessary permissions to everyone and so the landlord and my moms social worker #talked and he explained everything going on and is sending the plan in writing to her. and she’s forwarding it to corporate #and maybe they’ll actually let us hold off and have this service do what it does best #esp considering she’s going to be in the housing system so it’s state-guaranteed rent for a year if they keep her #I just. it’s 1 pm and I’m so emotionally exhausted and reeling #why is life this fucking hard lol
