1. I just know Meatbun is gonna make me cry. And I love it.

2. The dean telling XQC that his left eye got damaged by too many tears and XQC calmly saying “I didn’t shed any tears” is !!!! It is so true that his stress and feelings are so repressed they come out through the body - psychosomatic. And how divorced is he from his feelings to not being able to feel something that is so subconsciously severe that it blinds him!!!

3. XQC says he’s calm and thinks he’s calm but no calm person thinks that He Yu, who loved his eyes, perhaps took his eyes with him as he died. His is the numbness of shock.

4. He is wondering why he’s so tired - because you have severe grief and depression. He’s had to repress himself so hard and for so long that he can no longer recognize his feelings - it saved his life much earlier but now it’s hurting him badly.

5. When he touches the dragon figurine (which he kept!) but it’s cold. And he wanders around the places he’s been to with HY and he thinks he hears his voice (but of course he doesn’t) and he loses track of time in his mourning and it hits me so hard because he’s grieving and he’s breaking and he doesn’t even know it.

6. He keeps seeing HY and imagining him in the past and GDI! He is thinking of their dance and in his head going “I killed you with my own hands” and wondering if HY would have danced with him back then if he knew that. I think what strikes me so much is how quiet and contained his grief is and yet so devastatingly all-consuming. And unlike someone like CWN in his grief (another quiet, contained person), he doesn’t even have a goal to fixate on - all the mysteries bothering him have been solved, he doesn’t really have much of anything left, and having time to live in his own head is not a comfort.

7. And despite his denial of it, his body finally gives up on him and he collapses and wakes up in the hospital with XX at his side and she now knows the truth of his condition and she saw his “treatment room” and good god, I can’t even imagine what she felt. This chapter is less cheery than a funeral!

8. “The blood of the man was as cold as the man who died for him.” FUCK

9. Oh, XQC, back to “my pain is nothing.” He is beginning to see his suffering (of his illness) as just recompense for He Yu’s death and OH MY GOD A TEAM OF THERAPISTS WOULD NEED TO WORK FOR A DECADE WITH YOU!!!

10. AAAAAAA! We now know why XQC has no money - he gave it all to QCY’s hospital to bail it out, and his ex wife supported him and gave her share too. When XQC cares, he really goes all out. And I love that Meatbun shows people as complex - ex wife cheated but even after that, she still cared to give the money to the hospital because she knew how much it meant to XQC.

11. XX hugs him but XQC can’t feel her warmth - it’s like he really is encased in ice now and dead. HY may have died physically (as far as they know) but XQC died with him and dead bodies cannot feel warm.

12. OMG when he thinks he did not lie to XX by saying he’s not in pain because “how can dead people feel pain?” I caaaaan’t!

13. WDH is such a good egg. And smart too because he tells XQC he wants to take him to America for treatment, using as reasons XX and XX’s unborn child since he’s figured out XQC would never care for himself.

14. XX saying she can’t live without him and XQC flashbacking to the last person who said that to him and what happened to him - he’s swimming in a sea of guilt without a life preserver. And then when XX says HY would be sad too and XQC thinks she doesn’t know about their last conversation and how XQC got HY killed and his utter certainty that if they meet in the afterlife, HY would hate him. MY heart!!!! But the good thing is, all of this grief is hopefully breaking down XQC’s walls emotionally and also teaching him not just how much he loves HY (and as an equal) but also that he is not always right, does not always know best because his thinking that is what led to this tragedy. His feeling guilt also evens things out in terms of HY wronging him - not that he held onto that, but this way they have both wronged each other, and it’s one more thing in which they are on equal footing.

15. This chapter is devoted to mourning and what I find so interesting is that this time Meatbun, who describes grief and loss so incisively, has the older one, the shou, the initially wronged one go through this process first as opposed to Meatbun’s two other works where it’s the younger gongs who are left behind. (I mean, in 2ha, CWN does end up mourning Mo Ran near the end, but it is Mo Ran 1.0 who is left grappling with loss first, much earlier on and Mo Xi loses Gu Mang over and over and over.) I just like that Meatbun doesn’t always stick to the same thing.

Encanto: 1, 5, and 11

1. which character do you relate to the most from your fandom?

Both Mirabel and Bruno. "Waiting On A Miracle" is a hard one to get through when I sing along with it cause I FEEL that. I can feel a lot from most I Want songs in Disney films, always have. But that one? That one HURT. That moment right beforehand, where you see her face has relief and happiness for Antonio not needing to go through the same trauma as her, but also the envy and bitterness of "why couldn't I have had this?" and probably even hating that she felt it cause she just wants to be happy for him. I FELT that deep in my soul. She did a better job than me at staying positive, but can I take a moment to gush over the role that her parents, Julieta and Agustín, likely played in helping form that part of her? Because I love how much they obviously love her and do what they can to make her feel like she IS enough, even if they don’t quite manage to succeed over the matriarch’s attitude.

(Edit: Woop, fixed the spelling on Agustín’s name cause someone brought up in the fandom tags that people often forget the accent in his name. I can’t say I forgot, but that’s because my blind ass didn’t even see that the “i” had an accent.)

And for Bruno, well... I also know what its like to be the socially awkward, anxious, neurodivergent one that for a bit while young is told they're some rising star, but eventually is seen as a burned out, walking disaster to whom it is made clear I should just leave because trying to talk about it sure as hell didn't work. Resulting in the others talking shit about me after I'm gone (which I knew they’d do ahead of time) and turning me into their villain. (Its easier for people to make a villain out of someone than it is to grieve their absence, especially if you had some involvement in driving them away. Not healthier, but easier.) And lets see, spending waaay too much time not interacting with other human beings and being even worse than ever at doing so afterwards. And feeling awkward coming back into the family after being distant from it for so long?

Yeah... That's unfortunately VERY relatable to me. (Also I will admit, I have been very self-conscious since first watching it that I have an overwhelming need to knock on wood to not jinx things. A lot. Nowhere near as extremely as him, his is at pretty cartoonish levels, but I've sure noticed whenever I do it now. XD)

This movie came for me and held up a mirror and was very uncomfortable at first and I am very defensive of pretty much any of the Madrigals, but especially Mirabel and Bruno.

5. who is your favorite character (and maybe why?)

Its a close call between Mirabel and Bruno for reasons already stated mainly, but been leaning towards Bruno. Because I am always SUCH a sucker for kicked-puppy characters that give me an overwhelming urge to hug them and never let go. Also I love his aesthetic. The green and the hourglass motif and the glowy eyes when he uses his power? Nice. (BTW his ruana looks like its fucking comfy AF, like a hoodie that's also a comfort blanket, which I totally headcanon is why he wears it. I would love one that looks like his to just be comfy in around the house, but alas the only ones out there are made out of that shitty thin plastic-y costume material, not actually woven.)

Aside from the two Madrigal outcasts, I LOVE Antonio. He is the most adorable child Disney has EVER animated, and has my favorite power out of all of them. I wanna have jaguar and capybara friends gdi! And I want to hug the stuffing out of that kid. He's so cute! (I am noticing my greater-than-usual severe need of hugs in this time of pandemic crisis...)

Of the adults, if I have to pick an overall favorite character DESIGN, not necessarily overall aesthetic or storyline, just the design of the character themselves? Dolores. She’s just so CUTE.

Okay look, I do love ALL the Madrigals. Its really hard not to mention why I like each one. And if you asked me about any of them, I could ramble about that character for a bit. I especially sooooo want stories about the Triplets from when they were younger, especially involving their relationships with each other. Alma/Abuela is probably my least favorite, but that's mainly cause of her role in the story. I still absolutely sympathize with her and understand where she was coming from. Even if I know what its like to be on the receiving end of such toxic perfectionism. I at least still understand her.

11. what song do you associate with a character (or 2)?

I've really only been into the fandom for a less than a month, and have been obsessed with the soundtrack since then. Haven't really been able to listen to much else XD. So running through my head to consider songs I know very well...

There are some songs I could see certain characters singing along with. I could see Mirabel and Isabela both getting into and belting out along with songs like “This is Me” (Greatest Showman) and “Reflection” (Mulan). I could see Bruno enjoying those types of songs as well, just less confidently perhaps. 

I could see Dolores relating to some of the feeling in “Satisfied” (Hamilton). Maybe see Camilo grooving to “The Stranger” by Billy Joel, relating to the feeling of wearing, or trying on, various ‘masks’ or identities over one’s life.

Immediately following the events leading up to receiving the Miracle, “Next Right Thing” (Frozen 2) seems VERY fitting for Alma.

...I would love to come up with more and I’m sure I could, given a LOT of time, but I know myself and I would never finish this ask if I tried to do that right now. XD But I would LOVE to come up with what songs I know that most fit the Triplets.

Love You Like Nothing I’ve Had Before || chapter 1

Hey yeah, here I am, unable to not write about soulmates because gdi soulmates are great ok. This is the prompt fill for day 9, soulmates AU. I hope you enjoy it! There was a meter that told something about one's soulmate printed somewhere on everyone's body. Everyone had one, whether it be romantic or platonic, but just because everyone had a soulmate didn't mean that everyone had a happy ending. Life was cruel, and sometimes you lost all the colours in your vision before you saw them, sometimes your soulmate's name got smudged and their meter went to zero before their time. Sometimes people lost their soulmates much before they ever even had the chance to meet them. Even children knew this, but it was rare that parents told their children what the meter meant until they were older. There was a reason to it, and a good one at that.

That was also why a little girl with black hair tied into pigtails looked at her wrist with confusion and bewilderment before she walked to the kitchen where she knew her parents would be.

“Huh…? How is my meter so high… Maman, what does it mean when your meter is full?”

A simple, innocent question asked by a young child, likely no older than five years of age, who only knew the pattern on her arm was a meter that told something about her soulmate. She didn’t know what it was for, her parents had never told her.

There was also their first name under the meter, but Marinette couldn’t read it. Originally she thought it was because she just didn’t know how to read in general, but then she learnt the alphabet well and realised they weren’t even the same letters they used in France.

Her papa had told her that was because her soulmate’s native tongue wasn’t French or any other language she spoke. They had different letters in their language, he said.

“Are you sure it’s high, dear?”, her maman asked, never once stopping to look at her daughter. It was understandable, she was baking, but maybe, just maybe, little Marinette would have wished her maman would have paid more attention to her.

“Yes, maman. I drew a picture, too.”

That was right. Only she could see the meter or the name on her arm, that much she knew since she had tried to ask her parents about the name but they told her they couldn’t see it. You could only see your own and your soulmate’s one.

She also couldn’t see her parents that well.

Well, of course she could, but they looked so boring to her. They were colourless, just like everyone but herself. Herself she could see in colour, the bright blue eyes and the black hair. Only after meeting her soulmate would she see the world in colour, but even then other humans would remain monochrome, stay in the eye colour of her soulmate. She could only ever see herself and her soulmate in full colour, or so she was told.

And who was she to say her parents, her grandparents, teachers, everyone, was wrong? She was still a child, she didn’t know much, just like all of them always said.

“Let me se—” Her maman just stopped as Marinette handed her the drawing. She’d made everything as similar as she could, and finally, finally her maman looked at her.

Marinette did not like that horrified look in her eyes.

“So, I suppose it is time we explained what the meters mean, honey. It tells you how dangerous your soulmate is. Perhaps not to you, but in general. It can get lower and higher over time, depending on how dangerous your soulmate is at that moment. Usually the meter gets higher over long periods of time, and they only get to this level if the person does martial arts, but I have never heard of a meter this high on a child. That is a little... concerning. I wonder if your soulmate is alright.”

“What does dangerous mean?”

“If someone or something is dangerous, it means they can cause you harm and hurt you really bad. For example, touching a hot oven is dangerous if you don’t have oven mitts. Going with a stranger is also dangerous.”

“Oh okay. Can I have a cookie?”

“Sure, dear. You can have one.”

The next time Marinette thought about her soulmate more was when she met a person who was writing something that looked a lot like the name written in shining blue ink on her wrist in the park. A nine-year-old Marinette was aware of the stranger danger, of course, but she thought it wasn’t too bad if she asked the person if they could help her find out what the name was. It was her approaching them, she was in a public place and she wasn’t going to go anywhere with them, it would be fine.

“Excuse me, monsieur, but could you maybe help me?”

The man in question looked at her before he smiled at her and put his notebook aside. “Of course. What do you need help with?”

Marinette sighed in relief and sat down on the bench next to him. “Well, I saw what you were writing and it looked a lot like the name on my wrist. If I tried to write it down for you, could you tell me what their name is? I cannot read it and I don’t even recognise the letters so I cannot look it up myself”, she explained with a smile, hoping the man would help her. She didn't know what else she could do to find out their name. The man handed her his notebook and pen and told her to write the name there. She did. It took her a few minutes, but she managed.

“I’m sorry it probably doesn’t look very good, it’s difficult for me to write”, she apologised as the man read the name.

“Don’t worry, mademoiselle, you wrote it just fine. Anyway, their name is Damian. I wish you the best of luck with finding them, child”, the man told her. He was kind, she decided, so she pulled out a box of macarons and offered them to the man.

“Here, you can have a few as thanks. They’re from the Dupain-Cheng patisserie, and it’s the best in Paris!”, she said happily and stood there, waiting for him to take up her offer.

He did, eventually, which made her happy. Especially the expression he made when he took a bite was great, he seemed to enjoy it a lot. Marinette was glad, she loved seeing people smile. If there was something she found worth living for, it was making people smile and helping them find joy in life.

She waved the man goodbye before she left. After all, she’d agreed to meet Nino soon, she didn’t want to be too late.

Marinette woke up with a choked gasp and shot up in her bed. She was panting and had her pajama shirt in a tight grip. She felt like choking and could almost taste blood in her mouth. There was a piercing pain in her chest. It almost felt like someone had impaled her chest with a sword and tried to inflict as much pain on her as they could.

It took her quite the while to be able to focus her vision on anything. Everything was blurry and dark. But, when she was finally able to see something, the first thing that caught her eye was that her meter had gone down and the name under it was smudged. She had studied the Arabic alphabet, so she could now read it by herself, but there was no way she could understand the name anymore.

Then she realised she couldn’t see the colour of her shirt or hands anymore.

Marinette’s eyes widened and an ear-piercing scream escaped her lungs. Her parents rushed to her room and found their little girl in her bed, crying so much her tears ran freely down her face. She was hyperventilating and clutching her shirt in her hands, her tiny body outright trembling.

Her maman ran to her and lifted her chin up with her hand, horrified when she saw her eyes were glassy and unfocused. It was most definitely worse than a simple nightmare. There was something actually wrong with her.

“Qiānjīn, breathe. Talk to me, please, tell me what’s wrong”, her maman told her, pulling Marinette in her embrace and squeezing her tight against her chest. She kissed her forehead and wiped her tears away as her papa turned on the lights so they could see better.

“They— he— his name— I can’t read it! It’s smudged! And I can’t see colour… The meter went down— he’s… He’s... gone.”

She could barely get the words out of her mouth, but she somehow managed by summoning all her will power, her voice quieting down with each word. The last word Marinette could barely even breathe out. Once more she broke down sobbing and buried her face to her knees, curling up in a ball.

Her maman and papa didn’t know what to say to that — their little girl, merely ten years of age, had woken up only to find out her soulmate was dead.

There was truly nothing they could say to make it better, and so they just stayed there and let her sob her heart out.

A numb emptiness had settled itself in Marinette’s chest after her soulmate died. She couldn’t dress in her favourite clothes because they were all bright colours and she couldn’t bear to dress in such things when she couldn’t even see them well. It hurt too much to remember that the one she was destined to be with was gone forever.

“What happened, ‘Nette? I can’t remember the last time I saw you wear anything but these dark colours — is it all black?”

That’s what her best friend asked her one day in class. Nino was worried about her well-being. She could barely get the words out to tell Nino that her soulmate was gone, that she would never meet them again (it felt too final to say it out loud), but when she finally managed to, Nino smiled at her sadly and hugged her tight, saying he was there for her. He was. He kept coming over to talk to her and do her favourite things with her. Even if it didn’t make her smile, she appreciated it.

A few weeks later, her teacher had one day pulled her aside and asked how she was doing, concerned about her as she’d noticed Marinette only ever dressed in black now and there was never a smile on her face anymore. She still never failed to be kind to others, but that kindness no longer included a smile to everyone. Chloé had toned it down as well for even she knew that losing one’s soulmate was a horrible ordeal, something no one should ever have to go through — and especially not at such a young age.

Marinette started wearing gloves at all times, scared that if she caught a glimpse of the smudged name on her wrist, she’d break down crying and that she’d no longer be able to stop. Sometimes it happened regardless, and during those times, it took Marinette her all to ignore the aching in her chest and the burning tears in her eyes. And each time, each time she tried not to choke on her sobs.

In bed, she often curled up in a ball and tried to cry, but she’d run out of tears a week after her soulmate’s death. She dragged her nails down her legs, hoping to distract herself from the burning in her throat, but it never helped.

She was hurting, and there was nothing that could help her feel better.

It took a her a few months before she dared to look at her wrist again. She’d refused to do it under any circumstances, but after those months, she told herself she needed to bid her soulmate adieu.

And so, she took off her glove and pressed a light kiss on the meter. Marinette looked at it and forced a small smile on her face, hoping he wouldn’t be too mad at her for faking a smile. After all, she was doing it for him.

But, once she managed to bat the tears away from her eyes, she could clearly see the name on her wrist again. The meter’s levels were high again, which then prompted her to pay attention to the colours on her. At first she thought the universe had chosen her a new soulmate, but the name was exactly the same in the exact same handwriting, so no, her soulmate had simply come back to life. And…

She had a chance to see them again.

Either they’d only now come back or she’d been unable to notice them. It wouldn’t have been surprising, she had been trying to ignore the missing colours to the best of her abilities, after all.

Marinette rushed downstair to her maman and papa, smiling more brightly than she had in weeks, in over a month. They were surprised to see her be so happy but they were glad about it regardless.

“So, what made you so happy, honey?”, her papa asked her as she danced around the living room before stopping in front of her parents.

“He’s back! The meter shows high levels again, the name is back and I can see colours again!”, she laughed and threw herself at her papa, hugging him as tight as she could. Her maman came around and hugged them both, smiling into her hair.

“I’m happy for you, qiānjīn. Your soulmate better never do this again or I will have to find them and exchange a few words with him about making you sad”, her maman told her as her papa squeezed them both. Marinette laughed at her mother, imagining her short mother glare at her soulmate she suspected was taller than either of them as she scolded him for hurting her little girl.

Marinette knew she once again had a good chance at finding happiness, and so she smiled. A tear escaped her eye but, for the first time in a month, it wasn’t a tear of sadness, no. This time, it told the world of her happiness.

Years later, when she was 16 years of age and suffered under Lila’s reign in the class, she ran into a young man while trying to find the Wayne Enterprises and fell down on the ground. Her class had left her behind, but that was fine.

Well, it wasn’t, but she got to see more of the city, and that was certainly nice.

Besides, better it was her who was left behind rather than anyone else, as she was the only one who could for sure defend herself if necessary. After all, she was Ladybug, she had been that for years already — she had enough training.

“Je suis vraiment désolé— I mean, I am so sorry, I didn’t mean to run into—” And then she had to cut herself off because the world shouldn’t look like what it did.

There were colours.

There were actual colours all around her.

She could see the blue of the sky and the green of the trees. The cars that were of oh so many different, beautiful colours.

And, when Marinette looked up from where she was, she could see the young man towering over her and offering a hand to help her up had frozen in place, but what truly mattered was that she could see him in colours. His green eyes stared at her before they softened at the sight of her as he understood who this was, and Marinette could feel her cheeks hearing up.

“Does your— Does your name happen to be Damian?”

The man nodded before asking a question in return, “And can I suppose you are Marinette?”

Marinette smiled and gave him an enthusiastic “yes!”, grabbing Damian’s — her soulmate’s — hand and let him pull her up to her feet. “It’s lovely to finally meet you, soulmate.”

I. cried. so. much. Even after completing his route months ago, I still feel heartbroken because of what the twins went through :( No parent should ever mistreat their child like that!

Honestly, I could rant about this for hours. But what I came here to say was that day 3 punched me mercilessly in the stomach. I’m always emotional reading parting dialogues, so when he told MC

“Be happy without me and live on.”

“I miss her. I wish I could’ve hugged her one more time. Told her how much Ioved her. Just once more...”

You can probably imagine how long I was sobbing </3

And for my own selfish reasons, I preferred the normal ending.. LOL. Overall a pretty great plot, though I think some of it was unnecessarily extreme (Saeran’s really bad endings, V’s villain arc, how the twins’ dad suddenly had a change of heart in less than 5 minutes? I could write a whole novel about that, but until then..!)

WELCOME TO SAERAN’S AE DISCUSSION! Long-ish post ahead I got FEELINGS about the AE

Oh my god me too, I already cry super easily and day 3 like BROKE me, my roommate had to deal with me decaying for a few days 😭😭😭

I’m so glad someone else got super emotional at all of that dialogue because I thought I was overreacting sjklddfskjld my heart was BROKEN, I was honestly super scared that Cheritz was gonna make the “good ending” something where Saeran sacrifices himself for you and it's all some lesson about ~love persisting after death~ or whatever, that’s REALLY where it seemed to be going 😭 LIKE I DON'T WANT SOME LESSON ABT LOVE HE DESERVES A HAPPY ENDING GDI and I’m so glad he got one !! 🥺 When I got the bad ending at first I was honestly relieved, coz a bad ending means there HAS to be a good ending >:0

Oh my god the good ending though... I could go off about that forever LOL like I’m glad Saeran got a chance to reconcile with his father and I’m sure that took a lot off his chest, but there’s no WAY his dad would change his mind that fast. Like, you try to kill your sons for 21 YEARS and then one of them is like “but you must be lonely :(” and you’re suddenly over it ?? NOT buying it. Okay I actually came up with an alternate ending when it first came out coz i was upset at how unrealistic it was:

So when MC, V, Rika and Driver Kim go to search for Saeran they find mr. prime minister bastard dragging him away. MC immediately pulls out their phone and starts streaming the scene to Jumin’s intelligence team to keep the recording as leverage, but they don't mention it immediately because they want to see how it'll play out and Saeran looks like he's doing something. I don't remember exactly how it goes because it's been a while since I've played through the AE but Saeran goes through his speech because GDI HE DESERVES THAT CLOSURE and after all that's done MC is like "oh and by the way this has all been recorded and if you try shit with any of us it'll be posted everywhere, so if you wanna keep any shred of your reputation you should probably let us go :)" and being the slimy lil bastard he is he complies.

SO THAT'S MY WORKAROUND FOR THAT hoho canon is just a suggestion I'll take the parts I like and change up the rest~

Omg and something else that bothers me is that in BOTH endings the RFA ends up falling apart :( Like why do they all have to stop talking to each other, I get that people are busy but they've all been through so much together !! 😭 Anyways in MY canon they're all besties and the chatroom doesn't go silent :)

me: and rose choosing madame de pompadour and doctor so they could have been an polyamorous couple where pompadour and tyler and doctor would fight alien battles in that era in that era clothing and would have gotten pompadour to live longer than she should have thanks to rose and that the end of half a season in that era of france, mickey and the tardis comes with a whole new look and that, while they were mickey could have been a space pirate with the TARDIS acting as a guide to get to the doctor and rose the long way round as a spin off series for mickey so he could have been more developed on screen and show that he didn’t need the doctor or rose before when he thinks quick on his feet. and then we could have the age of steel two parter and that separation would have been even more heartbreaking because they don’t know they just don’t know that he’s no tin dog - he’s his own TARDIS, his own Mr. Smith (SJA), his own doctorxrose because he’s more than what they wish they could have been had it not been outside inference - he’s better than that, and we were robbed of that kind of individual character growth pre-martha/pre-age of steel etc while also being robbed of rose and doctor and pompadour poly dynamic where pompadour realizes that who she thought was ‘a child’ was no child at all, someone who actually shows and understands that being stuck on earth and doing what’s expected of you is total malarkey and doctor is just like ‘these are my wives and they own all of me oh and the duke of france is our plus one!’. and we could have had younger-ish(?)!river (who is after all just passing thru according to big finish audios) and it would have became an OT4 because wow these 3 women are brilliance incarnate and it would have gotten them to really drop small bit of river timeline with them [mainly as a guest appearance let’s be real, river got things to do despite how much she would’ve wanted to stay] with a tiny side plot of the doctor at night trying to get rose and him (mainly rose) to the tardis because he made jackie a promise and he meant his word gdi and history shouldn’t be altered like this but, the lure of rose and pompadour is too strong before being thrust into danger again for the umpteenth time and its only when mickey comes back, ripping a hole in brick wall with arthur the horse neighing in the background of the ship. and they leave her with both promising to come back for her only, when they do does history corrects itself as if they were never there as if they didn’t go though those adventures, those warm nights, hazy mornings, laughter of the woman they loved - loved so deeply - and it was doctor like usual being given the news and him reading those letters and rose asks the way she asks ‘is she alright’ while mickey look on like he did (does) and the doctor telling her its fine because the one thing he doesn’t want is rose emoting how he feels - her cry of anguish and wanting to go back because ‘why can’t we just save her??? just her’ and having to hold her back from the controls with mickey’s help and it all just turns into a solemn hug with the muffled cries of rose into his chest echoing along the normal engines of the ship and mickey could tell - we could tell - that he’s the only thing to keep them all - mainly them two - from crumbling to the TARDIS’ grated metal floor and then it fades out into credits leading into the age of steel 2 parter

I’m like, going to talk about the major deaths that happened in this episode, and the main characters who unfortunately survived this mess

let’s be real, the fact that he was still alive in this season is already a miracle in itself

that said, I’m disappointed that Daenerys didn’t give him a proper trial like she would have if her character wasn’t inexistent in this season (but more on that later!)

I did find fitting that he died while battling his bro

because let’s face it, Dany is probably going to get killed in the next episode

not once in his life he made a good decision as a ruler

what was the point of all her character development so far??

apart from killing the Night King (which I also find it to be a bit of a... bad writing choice, even if it was fucking cool) she’s doing nothing but running around to escape

I never intended to see this season as the true ending that will be in the books But now I’m not even going to consider this as the ending of the show

For me, this season of GoT is just fanfiction written by a cishet white male who needs to pump his ego by destroying characters except his self insert Jon Snow

Bonus: Now that IP has ended, I can finally focus on my studies until 9Percent makes a comeback. I initially thought it was gonna be a terrible rip-off but it turned out even better than P101 and I actually love all the trainees? Especially the top 35 bc these boys has made their way into my heart.

Also, im really relieved they debuted under the name 9Percent? Because names like Good9 or Balance are srsly rather horrible name and yall cannot do my boys dirty like that.

Tbh, i was sorta sad when xingjie and caoze didnt make the cut? They have shown such leadership and potential that its sort of a pity the group has only space for 9 and not 11 members.

My hearts also aches for Ruibin and Wenjun. They are such sweethearts and have really worked hard too. They werent given much screentime like the other popular ones, but I could see their passion and i really do hope I can see them again on a different stage.

Anyways, please do continue supporting the trainees as well as 9Percent!! (they legit gon be the first cpop band im gonna stan)

And then Yuugi texts him and he completely flips out, heh~

So this one - Love Fool is kind of nice slice-of-school-life type stuff. You’ve got these good pictures of Yuugi getting his sneakers on before he heads home.

In any case, the kind of premise of this doujinshi involves Kaiba coming to Yuugi’s place to watch a videotape. Yes. One of those videotapes. Courtesy of Jounouchi. I’m not entirely sure Kaiba’s in the know about what’s going on but-

He barges into Yuugi’s room like he owns the place.

And Yuugi freaks out bc his undies are hanging up. Bc Yuugi has the luxury to worry about these kinds of petty concerns (it’s okay, ilu, yuugi~)

He makes a run for them to take them down, heh~

Anyhow, the videocassette or the VCR isn’t working, properly. So Yuugi and Seto get to talking instead. About angsty things like his company and his dad and Mokuba.

And then hugs happen.

And then things are finally getting steamy.

And then-

Right then the VCR finally starts working and interrupts them with breathy, busty porn star moans.

We see Jou and Honda get the video back later.

And it looks like it kind of killed the mood judging by Yuugi’s reaction, lol. I know- I know- I have all the tools to translate this but I’m lazy and don’t want to :p

And this is tabby tail’s work. I don’t have much to comment about it- it’s cute and porny. But I really like how this circle draw’s Kaiba emoting.

Look at him. He’s one second away from kissing his bf and he looks completely joyless, like his cat just died. This is super on point and I love it.

Ahhh, I really love aquarium aesthetic. I’m pretty sure an aquarium theme automatically boosts my enjoyment of something regardless of what it is. Considering I’ve enjoyed all the aquarium prideship and JouKai I’ve run across.

This whole doujin has that kind of watery blurry surrealism to it, though. And it seems to be playing around with age and memory.

We see this backdrop with Kaiba and Mokuba in the aftermath of the deaths of their biological parents. This is always something I’m skittish about exploring - bc i’m always afraid it will undermine who Seto is and what his influences have been - but it’s interesting thing to see others delve into. Anyhow-

Aww, Yuugi hugs baby Seto. To comfort him.

And then baby Seto turns into adult Seto.

And then we play Magic & Wizards. Because that’s what ygo is all about.

The only pride one rscs sent me. It’s titled THE PITH AND THE PENDULUM, which is either a play on Edgar Allen Poe’s short story, or a misspelling of it. Either way, it’s apt. It’s kind of a highly aesthetic dark, distorted presentation, with a gothic style. Very lovely.

A stark introduction. A good coat.

You have these kinds of moments of sleeping and wakefulness with the characters. (Yes, it seems Kaiba dreams up Atem in the panel up there).

And this dark shot of a speeding car at night.

And a lavish dinner with these strange patterned curtains.

Heh. It seems several different artists worked on this - but there’s a kind of through-line with the stories. Most of them are kind of lazy bumming around Kaiba’s manor with sex and Kaiba never taking off his bathrobe. Anyhow, going off of that, the doujinshi got better in the best way possible:

It’s Kaiba’s birthday, and Yuugi calls in to get pizza (and cake?) delivered. And Jounouchi’s the delivery boy. And Jounouchi is worst delivery boy. Who just walks into the room - ignoring that Seto’s naked under the covers - and sits on the bed and helps himself to the pizza he himself delivered. And, aw- aw- aw- battleship friendship vibes are my favourite. This really was super cute~ I’m glad you had a good b-day, Kaiba~

And this one is the last one from rscs. Because we were saving it for the end. Rosario Bianco’s rivalshipping is a gift to us all.

Idk, the drawings are crisp and cute and expressive. Everyone is cute.

So Kaiba follows Yuugi home, and bows to Yuugi’s mom all respectful-like. And Mama Mutou is immediately charmed. And Yuugi’s kind of ??? about it. And I want to be upset about it, lol, but how can I hold it against Kaiba for managing to make a good first impression on someone for once in his life~

So Kaiba is studying the pictures Yuugi has left on his cork board. Heh~ For a second I thought that the one with Anzu and Honda was literally the one from the anime - with all of them doing the peace sign - except Kaiba’s brain had tactfully edited Jounouchi out bc UNWANTED, lol. It does seem like it’s a different picture tho.

Anyhow, so Yuugi walks in with the fan and THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF ADORABLE PONYTAIL YUUGI!!!

The important part, though, is that Yuugi has a newspaper cutout of the Grand Opening of Kaiba Land next to his other pictures on the cork board. I guess how nice and not-fucked-up this gesture is depends a lot on whether or not this was the cutout for the Grand Opening of Death-T.
