Working on my eldritch obikin fic and I had to write Padmé's coroner report and I'm like? I can't believe I've done this. To myself.

3 screenshots of max and anne's conversation in the cave in black sails season 3 episode 3. all screenshots show anne, standing in the dark with only a single beam of light across the frame, and closed captions along the bottom. she moves from the dark on the left to further to the right with each screenshot, with the first screenshot being her completely consumed by darkness and the final screenshot showing her silhouette outlined by the beam of light.
the first screenshot's closed captions are of max speaking - she says "you should stay...". the second screenshot continues max's statement: "To see it be divided evenly". the third screenshot is of anne speaking - the closed captions read "I trust you." end image description ]
something something in the dark there is possibility

You know what really grates on my nerves?
When people say that Adrien deserves to get hurt or heartbroken for not ‘noticing’ Marinette and her feelings all this time and when people say that Ladybug deserves to get hurt or heartbroken for not dating Chat Noir right away or something like that.
It is such a vile thing to say or agree on- especially when Adrien and Marinette thinks of the world of each other and their alter egos. Adrien has asked a few times about Marinette’s feelings to her face and her nerves always got the best of her and she never admitted the truth; he trusts and values her word. So it isn’t his fault that he doesn’t know her true feelings for him.
And Ladybug, despite not accepting her partner’s romantic advances, absolutely adores him! She trusts him with her life and the civilians of Paris. She loves giving him adorable nicknames and treats him with care when she can. Regardless of what she feels for him (even if us viewers know it’s romantic love), Ladybug doesn’t have to go out with him and she shouldn’t be punished by the fandom for that.
Anyways, these two mean the world to each other on all sides of the lovesquare and they’re not aware that their feelings are reciprocated (regardless of which side). They also NEVER go out of their ways to intentionally harm or hurt the other and always push things aside and prioritise each other when needed.
Do they have a bit of a communication issue? Yes, but they are teenagers and are working on it and they will clear that obstacle. The problem is that they are both too selfless so they don’t like to burden others with their feelings. They will grow and become better people :)
Overall, what I’m trying to say is that lovesquare adore one another and if you genuinely believe that Adrien or Marinette have to be punished for not being aware or acting on the other person’s feelings, you’re a piece of shit and I feel sorry for the people around you :)))))

this "silencing spell" was a way for the Lan sect to discipline students. wwx himself has been on the receiving end of this shrewd little thing quite often. it wasn't particularly complicated, but only the Lan clan members knew how to undo it; if one tried to separate their lips by force, they'd either end up bleeding or with a couple days worth of a sore throat. waiting patiently until it wore off and self-reflecting in the process was the only solution.
"sect leader jiang, please calm down", lsz said. "if he doesn't try to forcibly break the spell, it will wear off on its own after half an hour."

it’s ur blog, I think you should go off on whoever you want! especially if they deserve it. plus you didn’t even go THAT hard… it wasn’t overdone or unnecessary or anything.
thank you! but i should not
PSA: if you're gonna make a post going off on someone. STOP! find one or more friends who are willing to discuss the topic with you. complain to them! is what you're saying a fair take? do they think its reasonable and deserving of a post? in fact, do you even still feel like posting after complaining to your friends, or have you got it out of your system? If you still want to post, what do you hope it accomplish? Will it hurt someone? these are all questions you need to ask before making your post.
it has saved me posting many a dumb post! i did not follow these steps earlier, and i think it was an unwise (though not catastrophic) decision.
If you want to be bitchy, find some friends to bitch with, but also friends who are willing to tell you to "woah rein it in buddy that's a bit far". i trust my friends to talk me outta making a bad post, and that has the benefit of really trusting them when they say something is a good idea to post.

Went to the beach shirtless with my family for the first time in my whole life and all my mom had to say about it was, "so if I get a double mastectomy, can I go shirtless, too?" And I said "yeah" but then went on to say you could anyway, I used tape before etc. and she just did this little sarcastic cheery "embrace the patriarchy!!" in this tone absolutely dripping with malice.
it wasn't worth defending myself then and there in particular but even MY GRANDMOTHER (her mom lol) caught this comment and texted my auntie to say "(mom) is being SUCH A BITCH to jimmie!!!!" and then Grammy texted me later to say how happy it made her to see me shirtless bc she could tell how complete it makes me feel. Thank goodness for her and my aunt. I know so many people who only have moms like this with no aunties and grammies to make up for it.
when your mom is such a transphobic bitch that even grandma can pick up on it 😩 lmao

tbh its very nice and epic 100 to give suho n jukyeong actual time to hang out n reasons theyd care for each other in high school. like its a cute bonding n characterisation moment.
we get explicit confirmation that suho doesn't really care what jugyeong looks like since he tells her matter of factly that he already knows what her face looks like. but also suho is characterised as unlike his appearance as well or otherwise more clumsy and dorky than the rumours people have of him. the kind of atypical picture of teenager created by his lack of knowledge about purikuras (which shdve alr been a thing in japan where suho is from) or aracade games aligns suho further with jugyeong as someone who's unusual on the inside. ofc he also has odd but fitting mannerisms like his insistence on maintaining his pride either ways and being rather blunt about inviting jugyeong out (with it more as a demand than a real invitation) by humanising suho rather than having him be an unattainable perfect boy, it also portrays him in a more sympathetic light. more significance is lent to their relationship by having them be each others probably first real friend since high school (ofc theres no reason suho should mention ever having had friends in the past not that his behaviour would make u assume he had if u didnt alr know the plot) their relationship is portrayed as genuine n in spite of jugyeong's initial caution around suho n the threat of having her secret exposed, a source of relaxation and fun.
the juxtaposition between suho at school who is always stern faced n entirely unexpressive and the suho we see through jugyeong who while still socially awkward clearly has passions in life, reacts visibly and is embarrassed and aware of the image he tries to maintain not only draws further similarities between the two but also further emphasises that jugyeong and suho's relationship
ik suho liking cats is probably meant to just be like omg look at the cute guy hes so cute but the juxtaposition between cold to people suho and fond of animals suho does a good job of emphasising that suho rlly isnt what he seems and rlly opens u up to viewing other characters in a similar light where their appearances arent always true to them and makes u want to think when are their actions reflective of their true selves and why do these differences even exist? do they go with things willingly or are they forced?
anyways having jugyeong choose to talk to suho and be the one to offer him the drink not only lends agency to her ini choosing to be her true self around someone but also characterises her as someone who ultimately wants others to be their true self (at least when shes young) as well. it lays the foundations for who she becomes n her path. also i think it just helps to have her true personality still be boisterous under the growing influence of liek the make up life like... she still values things like horror n just having fun n ultimately shes a teenager who wants to have a good time as one!!!
smth smth people construct images to protect themselves but theres no guarantee it works in the long run. from sujin to seojun to jukyeong to suho, the images they construct of themselves allow them to create idealised images of their own life and receive protection and ability to avoid their troubled lives and pasts but in the long run does it satisfy them? similarly cruelty and rejection by others or of oneself drive people to strengthen their images whereas kindness can free them and allow them to retain control over their mask <- working thesis statements

I hate raiders, mostly the hardcore's bc they're just cunts, but whenever they are in tune with looking at the game from a gameplay perspective (not just looking at logs), everything they have to report is shit I can feel even as a casual though I can't explain it as in depth as they can; and I have to agree it feels like the devs have forgotten how to make and balance a game in the last 3 years, as much as most players themselves suck at understanding and playing the fucking game (and how poor the game's learning tools and mentors are as well) since it's seen as a vehicle for story cutscenes or mashing buttons
If the gameplay keeps going dumber across the board that would take away the last legitimate reason I have to play it and surprisingly I don't like the thought of that conversation with myself
