these are two separate questions, and he only answers the last one that, in my opinion, is the most mindboggling one.

I really don't think so...

Azure Lion didn't hate being with Manjusri. Just that the first time he was deliberately asked by his master to take over the Wuji Kingdom for his revenge. And the second time was because he was snub an invitation to the peach festival, not cause he hated his master. Jade Rabbit only became a yao because they were after revenge on Su'e for kicking them in their rabbit form. They didn't hate being Chang'e's pet, just that they wanted to cause problems on purpose.

Neither of these really 'hate' being a pet just that they had desires of either revenge or power and intact that through evil schemes. And I think that most pets of heaven feel similar since they all are subdued by their masters and go back with them willingly.

3) What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?

it's really so hard to choose between Raise Dead and the celebrity fake dating au buuuuut i think Raise Dead. just because so early on, like possibly before i started writing fic and when i was just lurking on ao3 without an account lmao, i had this thought like 'wouldn't it be so cool if someone could pull off integrating dnd into a fic the way the duffer brothers do.' and then like two months later i had the idea to do that, and it was so intimidating that i wrote the outline and a couple of snippets and then immediately abandoned it. but eventually it worked out, and i'm really proud of the flashbacks and the characterization and just...writing grief overall was a very hard but gratifying experience. anyway i'll shut up about it now but i really truly am proud of it

12) How many WIP’s do you have in your docs for next year?

technicallyyyy if we're going by documents only, then 6, one of which is the ronance winter/christmas fic that idk if i'll finish in time for the holidays lmao. but that's also counting all of the thriving in the apocalypse ideas as one doc, and all of the raise dead series ideas as one doc. if we're going individual pieces then, like...30ish?

15) What WIP are you taking into next year with you?

i mean hopefully most of them but if we're talking, like, one i'm most excited about i gotta say robin's coming out scene in thriving in the apocalypse (it is coming, i am excited for it, one day i'll finish it...eventually)

so i have a writing playlist that's like...instrumentals and game soundtracks and stuff that i've had since college and traditionally i listen to that. but also sometimes i want to fit the mood so i'll listen to like...specific lofi or dark instrumentals or whatever (throwback to the time i spent half an hour trying to find a good 'nyc in the snow' lofi playlist to write for the celebrity fake dating au. that was not a productive day.)

that said! for some reason my brain finally said 'hey you can write while listening to music with lyrics' this year and like 90% of the celebrity fake dating au was written to a specific playlist i made that's like novo amor, lowswimmer, some phoebe bridgers and maya hawke, you get the vibe

welllll it has to be the this story that we found ourselves in, doesn't it? celebrity fake dating au my beloved. it truly took over my life for a good 4 months. i think between my actual writing job and my freelance writing job and that fic i was writing like an average of 12 hours a day which is insane but i never lost steam with it the way i thought i would. there's so much that happens in that story (y'all just wait) and it was so much fun trying to explore a different yet not totally different side to the characters. i adore it so much

Since you pointed out Azure‘s weird split fur line in the wonderful 'whose ripped chest is this?', the dual colored design has been bugging me.

Do you have any ideas as for why and/or how his fur turned black? He was completely blue during his time in the celestial realm. But when the brotherhood came together his paw (and possibly chest- since his fur pattern can seemingly change at will) is black.

Which is also how we see him during his first appearance. HOWEVER, in his emperor form, he has a little BLUE boob window. And it‘s driving me absolutely bonkers.

Is it clothing? Normal Fur?? On his lego figure it almost looks like ink- a curse maybe??? Do you have any theories?

Let's start by going through the Azure designs we see:

Lowkey, didn't realize Azure's neck was blue until skimming eps right now! Anyways, here are my thoughts:

When it comes to Azure's brotherhood design versus his current design, I think the only difference there is that his teal fur is covered up by his shirt—having his chest be all one color looks better from an artistic perspective, convergent lines and all that.

Next, Azure's Jade Emperor form gives his split fur line a distinct zig-zag look, while also making his pecs teal. I'm going to explain this difference away as "Jade Emperor Bullshit". Even Azure's clothes change after he absorbs the Jade Emperor's powers, so I'm not too hung up on the "why" of this design difference.

Now, I believe the black color is indeed fur because of his reference sheet:

Which, as was mentioned, is absent from Azure's celestial champion design. That's the only difference I think is actually significant—his fur being completely teal while he served heaven, to his fur being black during his time in the brotherhood.

While I don't have any concrete theories, my current head canon is that Azure's fur change is proof of his resolve and his separation from the celestial realm. I think Azure either doing it himself or heaven doing it as a form of punishment are both neat ideas.

I actually believe Lucifer secretly loves the Anti-Lucifer-League.

Y'know how lions and other creatures like that pretend that they get hurt when playing with their cubs to make them feel powerful? I wonder if sometimes it's like that. He swallows a little bit of pride to watch them beam happily for the rest of the day.

Or even if he gets annoyed with their constant shenanigans, it gives him time with both Belphie and Satan, like playing a game with them.

And more than that, it gives Satan more of an opportunity to connect with his family. To have fun. To kind of act on the more immature and playful aspects he never really got to have since he pushed himself to mature so quickly so he wouldn't be looked down upon.

Plus, if I'm not mistaken, I believe it's canon that sometimes Satan and Belphie both do "sweet" things towards their eldest brother and call it a "clever prank" when it's really just them doing something nice or taking care of him.

They're all so silly and sweet.

I have been waiting for this! This has been stuck in my head since you mentioned how there's too many werewolf x bunny fics.

Imagine there's a village of prey hybrids. All the villagers that live there are some kind of prey animal.

The village is very peaceful, but is the target of a tribe of predator hybrids that dwell in the deepest part of the forest.

Every year, these predator hybrids would attack the prey village and would kidnap any villager unlucky enough to be caught.

These attacks typically happen around mid to late spring, from dusk to well into the night.

The prey villagers always hide around this time, but at least one to three people end up being taken.

Last year was one of the reader's friends. A sweet little sheep that was said to be taken by a large male black wolf. Poor girl was likely eaten by that horrible beast! (In a way she was eaten~)

This year, it is reader's turn.

Reader is a deer hybrid that got caught while out gathering food in the forest. Only to be jumped by a strong and handsome male mountain lion hybrid and taken back to his tribe.

There reader finds her friend as well as other people from her village, all well and alive and with large clearly pregnant bellies as well as a few children.

Turns out the predator tribe has been taking people from your village as their mates. Even treating their prey mates with the utmost care.

Something the reader will understand fully once she's been bred with her first litter of cubs.

your parents had always warned you to be careful when you left the safety of the village, especially during spring when nearby predators would go into heat and kill little deer girls like you to feed to keep up their strength. You were so careful, the fastest in the herd, the best at running away, no predator could ever catch you....other people weren't so lucky. Every year a few people would go missing, trail too close to the border, stay out foraging after sunset, and disappear.

Most of the time, you don't know the prey who gets taken, but sometimes you do, like when your best friend got dragged off by a horrifying wolf. You grieved the loss of your friend and redoubled your commitment to safety... but you got cocky. you were the fastest in your age group, no one could catch you, especially not some heavy, slow predator.

It's a warm spring evening, the breeze gentle and sweet, smelling like honeysuckle and green grass. the sunsets casting the valley in golden light, your basket is full of fat wild blackberries. how could anything go wrong on a day like this? A twig snaps to your right, and you turn and freeze, looking carefully at the tree line. you don't see anything... but your heart is still racing, by the time you spot the hungry green eyes peering up at you it's already too late. you take off running, but for once, you aren't fast enough.

The mountain lion pounces and lifts you off of your feet, throwing you easily over his broad shoulders, you freeze, your heart beating faster and faster, you need to think, he hasn't killed and eaten you yet- maybe you could escape, you just need to keep your head.

It's a much shorter journey to the preditor village than you would have thought, you'd never traveled far from home so you had no idea that they were so close this whole time. What's even more surprising is the amount of prey animals, wandering around town and looking happy. A rabbit boy with big floppy ears hanging off the arm of a buff-looking wolf, a deer hybrid like yourself flirting with two different lions, and a sheep- a sheep that you recognize. Your eyes go wide as it clicks into place. the people being taken weren't being killed at all.

The mountain lion puts you down and looks at you closely, evaluating you. "I wasn't too rough was I? You're not hurt?" he asks. you shake your head slowly

"n-no. I'm not hurt just- scared," you admit shyly. He nuzzles you comfortingly,

"awe, don't worry my mate, I'll keep you safe... I won't let anything happen to you, no one else will touch you while you're with me," he purrs and you shift, embarrassed to tell him that it was him you were afraid of. although you had to admit if this big scary mountain lion is guarding you, and claiming you as their mate, you do feel a little safer.
