(Clamoring voices sound throughout all the speakers in Dr. Robotnik’s cockpit, warbling about Sonic, overlapping each other so Dr. Robotnik can’t understand them.)

Dr. Robotnik (yelling into all of them at once): Does anyone know WHERE THEY ARE?!?!?

(A smack sounds against the windows of his ship, and Robotnik looks up in frustrated surprise. Tails, holding onto a rope attached to a float, has crashed into the window, dragging him across the glass with his face smushed. Robotnik watches him slide past, unblinking with a stupefied expression, eyes twitching. There is silence in the room except for the swiping squeaks of Tails moving across the glass. Finally, Tails leaves the window and swings downward, screaming as the float starts sailing away.)

A few Ivo Robotnik headcanons

  • I imagine Ivo having lost his mom at a very young age due to a disease, never known his father, therefore becoming an orphan
  • His mom left him a music tape bc from a very young age he loved music and tried to dance along all the time
  • His mom probably passed away when he was like 4 years old, maybe 3
  • Ivo never cared to find out who his dad was, he just wasnt interested.
  • After a year or two at the orphanage, when he went to school, everyone started to notice that this boy was smart, very smart.
  • Ivo definetely pulled some mischief on some teachers
  • He also definetely has corrected the teachers at least more than once
  • The government took him quickly after that, soon enough becoming a lab rat
  • He never had a real friend when he was younger, the closest thing he had to a friend was his very first drone. A small and very dysfunctional one. Probably given a name like Jimmy.
  • Ivo hates how much he secretly craves love and affection. Ever since he was younger.
  • He doesnt listen to the music tape his mom gave him very often, it does hurt alot. When he listens to it tho, it will be in his room in private. Most likely while laying on the bed and crying silent tears.
  • Ivo is secretly a sad boi, gotta hide it with his big ego.

I just wanted to share this, it just popped into my head a few days ago and i was eager to write it down. Also yes the first two dots are heavily inspired by gotg. It felt like it just fit right.

Chapter 1: Initiate Project 0013

In the small town of Green Hills, things weren’t as they seem. To the unseen eye it may appear real, but was it?

“With all due respect, Sir, I do not think that Project 0013 is ready.” A voice strongly opposed the idea to begin the project General Macnire suggested, having much distaste for the program.

“Project 0013 is entirely capable of handling the Green Hills simulation. That much has been made clear through various tests and procedures he has gone through.” The louder, much more firm and commanding voice of General Macnire argued.

“You’re really going to base this decision off of a few tests? He hasn’t handled a real life situation, Sir! He’s not like the others, he’s human!” A moment passed as quickly as it had come where the General was worried the agent would attempt to go rogue.

“Agent Stone, I see where your concern lies, but Project 0013 is the last choice we have in containing Subject 30416. It’s our last chance to prevent Project X349 from escaping.” Macnire turned his back on the agent, ignoring his protests as it was no longer negotiable discussion. It is no longer the matter of suggestion. It was an order and a command the agent must follow.

The agent lowered his head in defeat. “Yes, Sir.”

“Good, now prepare your things. A team of soldiers will escort you to the private estate.” The decision was final, leaving a heavy burden and crushing feeling on the agent’s chest.

1 Month Later

Stone became accustomed to the Doctor rather quickly. He was truly brilliant, and the machines he crafted were unlike anything he’s ever seen. However, with intelligence usually came more than enough flaws to make up for it.

The Doctor did not communicate well with others, he barely ate, and rarely ever slept. This eventually led to an unusual caffeine consumption. His daily routine had never gone off track until today.

“Doctor, I think we blew a tire.”

“Obviously, because you refuse to check it. I told you to check them days ago.” The man doesn’t give Stone a glance.

“Should I just call a cab for you?” Stone asked.

“No, I’ll walk to the coffee shop myself.” He replied quickly, not even giving it a second thought.. Stubborn as he was, Stone didn’t blame him. He had a routine and the Doctor hated disrupting it.

As he walked, the Doctor was so engulfed in his work and so focused on it, he didn’t give any attention to the street he crossed. An oncoming car sounded its horn, but it fell on deaf ears. Luckily for him, a nearby worker from the shop he wanted to go to called out to him, “Sir, look out!”

He raised his head as the woman grabbed his coat and pulled him out of the way. They both land back on the sidewalk, bodies in a mess of limbs, and she looks down at him breathlessly. The whole ordeal had her body running on adrenaline.

“Are you okay?” She asks. His eyes followed up her chest and to her face, she was breathtaking with the light of the sun shining over her. She looked like an angel with a halo. He shook the feelings and thoughts away and scoffed.

“I didn’t need your help! I’m fine.”

“Sure about that?” She giggled, “Because you looked like a deer in headlights.” The man gave her a disapproving frown.

“Yes, I’m sure.”

“Well, since you’re okay, you wouldn’t mind giving me a name, would you?” She asked.

“It’s Robotnik, Doctor Robotnik.” He informed her, and she nodded.

“I’m (Y/N), Doctor.”

After they not-so-properly introduced themselves, the woman helped him up and took him inside the shop. He was seated at one table, fiddling with the tablet and its features as she went back to work. Two minutes later, she came back with a drink, but it wasn’t something he’d usually go for. He glared at the paper cup with disgust.

“What is that?”

“A latte! But not just any latte, it’s made with Austrian goat milk. Try it.” She told him, and gave a smile, encouraging him to take a drink. He eyed her suspiciously as he reached for the cup. When he put to his lips, she knew he’d like it. Only a rare few people enjoyed Austrian goat milk, but she had a strong feeling he would too.

As she predicted, Robotnik loved the drink. It was warm and went smoothly down his throat, and that’s not including the rich flavor. Just how he’d like a latte. “This.. This is wonderful.” He observed.

“I knew you’d like it. Most people enjoy a good latte.” (Y/N) took a seat at the table and he glared at her before slowly letting his guard down.

“Do you live in town?” She asked.

“Yes, and no. I live in a private estate just outside of Green Hills.” He took another sip and she watched him, growing more and more curious about him with every word he said.

“Why does that matter if I live in town?” He questioned, and she laughed in response.

“Because you stick out like a sore thumb. All the people in this town have the same style.” She informed him, which led him to take a look around the coffee shop.

“You dress differently than them.” He looked down at her outfit, which was covered by the apron.

“That’s because I work here. When I get home, I can’t wait to get into some sweatpants and a hoodie.” She admitted before getting up from her seat. “But enough about me. Enjoy your latte and try not to get killed when you leave, okay?”

He couldn’t think of a clever response, as he was too busy trying to understand why he felt anything positive about her.

Moments later, Stone rushed into the shop looking very stressed. “Doctor! Thank God! I heard from someone you almost got run over!” Robotnik only gave him a side glance, not expressing any interest in the matter. It was over and done with. No more to be said.

“Doctor, are you not concerned?” Stone asked, clearly worried.

“No, not at all. I’m alive aren’t I?” He looked up from his work to the agent, and Stone relaxed. No damage done. Robotnik was still himself. He knew exactly what would happen to him if the Doctor had been killed. Stone took a deep breath as a girl approached him.

“Can I get you something?” She asked sweetly.

“Yes, please. Could I get latte with-”

“With Austrian goat milk?” She finished the sentence for him. Stone was still dumbfounded as she gave him a smile. “Anything for you, Mr. Stone.” Once she walked away and out of earshot, the Doctor spoke up.

“How’d she know what to get you? I thought you didn’t drink coffee?” Stone looked to his boss and sighed.

“I lied about that.”

“Why?”

“Because I didn’t think you’d care to know and I didn’t want you knowing I grew up in this town either.” He revealed, who in turn raised a brow in suspicion.

“You grew up here?” He scoffed and returned back to work. Stone appeared relaxed, but inside his head was an anxiety-ridden fear. It was a good thing Robotnik didn’t care about Stone’s life. He didn’t think he could lie any more to the Doctor. If Robotnik found out anything, there would be dire consequences.

Since everyone’s stuck inside due to the big COV my girlfriend decided to present me with my birthday present a few months early. She needed something to keep her occupied and ended up finishing every project she thought would take until summer. So now I have a fully customized Sega Dreamcast. She even copied over our shared Sonic Adventures 2 save from her Dreamcast so I could keep all my Chao.

But the best part?

This gem on every single boot up.
