Rewatching Prodigal Son while waiting for this melatonin to work. This show was borderline camp, given how unhinged Malcolm Bright was played, the bug eyes, the tieing to the bed, the outcrazing serial killers to catch them.... It was wild. A real shame, the cast had a lot of charm. I wish it had gotten one more renewal.

"Judith Love Cohen, who helped create the Abort-Guidance System which rescued the Apollo 13 astronauts, went to work on the day she was in labor. She took a printout of a problem she was working on to the hospital. She called her boss and said she finished the problem and gave birth to actor Jack Black.

"Judith Love Cohen was, at various times in her fascinating life, an engineer who worked on the Pioneer, Apollo, and Hubble missions, an author & publisher of books about women in STEM and environmentalism in the 90s, a ballet dancer with the New York Metropolitan Opera Ballet Company, an advocate for better treatment of women in the workplace, and actor Jack Black's mother. From an obituary written by her son Neil Siegel after her death in 2016:

“'My mother usually considered her work on the Apollo program to be the highlight of her career. When disaster struck the Apollo 13 mission, it was the Abort-Guidance System that brought the astronauts home safely. Judy was there when the Apollo 13 astronauts paid a "thank you" [visit] to the TRW facility in Redondo Beach.'”

"She finished her engineering career running the systems engineering for the science ground facility of the Hubble Space Telescope.

"During her engineering career, she was a vigorous and tireless advocate of better treatment for women in the workplace. Many things that today we consider routine - the posting of job openings inside of a company so that anyone could apply, formal job descriptions for every position, and so forth - were her creations. She had a profound impact on equality in the workforce.

What is nurse!Yuu and Floyd’s kid like, if you don’t mind me asking?

Well I'll be honest, any child they have will be a fucking monster. They are a perfect mix of their parents and that's a bad thing.

He is an awful and wretched little creature.

If you paired Floyd's unhinged nature and Nurse!Yuu's knowledge you get a mad scientist.

He is so fucking shady and while he doesn't get in fights like Floyd he does enjoy human experimentation.

He works in the nurse's office just like Nurse!Yuu did and he loves collecting blood samples as a hobby. He even labels them.

Look at him, no light in his eyes. You can't trust that.

He also keeps medical leeches as pets that he feeds blood from his favorite people.

Do not get his attention. I will repeat, DO NOT GET HIS ATTENTION. HE WILL NEVER LET YOU GO!

If he likes you he will not squeeze you like Floyd he will want to study you and take you apart piece by piece.

He is a mama's boy. He used to threaten Floyd that he'd one day replace him one day. They used to square up the moment Merlyn was big enough.

Merlyn was a biter but now he usually hides his teeth. When he gets creepy his mask slips and you can see the rows of sharp teeth when he smiles.

Floyd adores his son but even he got tired of how often his son would bite him. He would later say that Merlyn drank more blood than milk.

Sometimes his parents would wake up to see a pair of glowing eyes hovering above them like a cat as Merlyn would watch them sleep.

He is still an eel-mer and isn't as big as Floyd, YET. Floyd takes him hunting when they have down time.

Everyone is kind of afraid of Merlyn in the Leeth family business. The kid was always in the medic bay with a surgical mask on and a scalpel.

Merlyn is covered in scars. Some self-inflicted to practice stitching and others...well he is his father's son.

He loves watching his momma work on bodies, especially surgeries. He loves looking inside of people to see what makes them work.

He is not fucking allowed to watch "Human Centipede". Merlyn has no ethics and he does not follow the Hippocratic oath. He is loosely acquainted with the morals of society.

In other words, he's a perfect member of the Leech family.

His favorite food is lobster.

Despite his creepy aura he is actually affectionate...in his own way. If he hugs you he will likely bite you. Luckily he doesn't hug alot of people.

"I'd love to know more about you. I bet if I opened you up I'd learn all of your little secrets~Kehehe. Just kidding~"

"Don't make that face, I promise not to bite...much."

"I just know you taste as good as you look."

"Don't worry my scalpel is sharp. You won't feel a thing when I cut. Don't worry I will only take a sample. I just want a peice of you to keep with me always. Even if it's just lock of hair."

Merlyn surprisingly does not become a serial killer. He actually becomes a surgeon who pioneers blood transfusion and organ transplants.

He's still a weirdo who does experiments though.
