Some Underrated Fame Indicators:

Cancer Rising: To me personally, this is an extremely underrated fame indicators. With their MC being placed in Aries, people may forget that these people are HUGE trend-setters, go-getters and can attract attention effortlessly. Especially if their Moon and MC ruler is well aspected! Cancer Rising to me just simply radiate this influential yet ethereal and very relatable energy, this is the aspect where these people, despite being famous, doesn't feel out of reach to their audiences and can easily gain the masses' love. Cancer is often associated with nurturing, mothering, and caregiving. A Cancer Rising individual might exude a protective and caring aura, making them approachable and trustworthy in the eyes of the public. This can be especially beneficial for roles or positions that require a sense of reliability and trust.

i don’t know why i’m allergic to established relationship yeonjun but just think about fwb!yeonjun and it’s just a constant back and forth “will they? won’t they” thing but like all your friends already just function like you’re a couple anyways. and you guys are just like “no we’re not -_-”. but still you both always get jealous when you see the other talking to someone else.

i think this pairs well with frat bro!yj who invites you to one of the parties at his fraternity house but spends the entire night talking to what seems like everyone at this party but you. you decide to entertain yourself with one of his frat brothers who you’ve had some classes with. he drags you to play beer pong with him. from the corner of his eye, yeonjun catches you two laughing together and asks to play the next round against you. you don’t realize how good he is at beer pong. and like the gentleman he is, he urges his brother to drink for you because “you’re twice they’re size, are you really going to let them drink all that alcohol?” so your partner begins to lose his balance, and literally no one is surprised when yeonjun wins.

after the game, he finally gives you the attention that you wanted, when he pulls you to his room. “aww, were you jealous junie?” you tease him as he shuts the bedroom door.

soobin → daydreamin’

soobin is soooo first love class crush coded. he’s just someone you could / would / should fall in love with the moment that you lay your eyes on him. i was originally thinking of a college!au lab partner thing but walk with me. maybe he’s your best friend’s cousin who is staying with their family for the summer and he has to tag along with the two of you everytime you hang out because he doesn’t know anyone in town and your friend’s parents want him to meet new people.

the first day you met him, you and your friend planned to go strawberry picking. they drove over to your house to pick you up and you see him in the front seat. your friend tells him to move over to the back so you can sit at the front. he gets out of the car and introduces himself to you and you feel all the blood in your body rush up to your face because he is the prettiest person you’ve ever seen. throughout the hour-long drive, you keep making eye contact in the rearview mirror and you feel your stomach doing flips and your organs turning to mush.

at the strawberry fields, he trails behind you and your friend but you try your best to include him in the conversation. your friend ends up walking in front of the two of you and he offers to carry your basket for you as you keep talking and getting to know about him.

beomgyu → tattooed heart

okay okay okay this kinda sorta has nothing to do with the song but hear me out hear me out i was listening to this song and i randomly thought of tattoo artist!beomgyun. and he’s so creative and artistic and talented. i feel like he is the type of person that could literally do any medium of art and make a masterwork.

one day, you were walking around and you saw that a tattoo place was doing a flash sale and you had always wanted one so you decided to see if they had any that you liked. you were visibly nervous because it was your first tattoo and at first the artist that was doing yours seemed really quiet. but it turns out beomgyu was so sweet and he really did his best to make you feel comfortable throughout the entire experience. he was telling you stories and cracking jokes and everything. you didn’t even notice that he had already finished.

and after that you keep going back to the same place and working with him only and imagine him telling you that he designed a tattoo for you because he couldn’t get you out of his mind lol.

taehyun → goodnight n go

i definitely was going to go the angsty route for this but i had wayyy to many songs from yours truly in this and i also think goodnight n go fits him so well. this song and tyun make me think of 13 going on 30 which is one of my favorite movies.

i’m thinking about childhood best friends that haven’t seen each other in a while. and one day you invite him over because he has been dying to see what your life in the city is like. you spend the entire afternoon catching up, laughing at inside jokes, and reminiscing about old times. and even though you haven’t seen each other in what feels like years, you still fall back into your old pattern and it feels like you never left. the time slips your mind and by the time either of you notice, it’s already dark outside and he missed the last train out of the city, so he has to spend the night.

of course he doesn’t want to be an imposition so he offers to sleep on the couch but you manage to convince him that “that is ridiculous, we used to share a bed as kids.”

kai → main thing

the fact that this is the only established romantic relationship in this makes me giggle but i was originally going to do this song for yeonjun but i think it fits kai so much better. he would be such a doting partner i think. he’s so lovely and perfect and i definitely have very real romantic feelings for him but that’s beside the point.

you’ve had a horrible day and it literally feels like the entire world is crumbling around you. you text him to tell him that you just got home and you’re probably going to call it a night early. he can tell from your tone that something happened and in twenty minutes he’s at your door with takeout, your favorite ice cream, and a board game. you’re confused when you open the door and see him grinning at you with his hands full, but you’re eternally grateful that you have someone as thoughtful as you. he makes sure you eat as he runs you a bath and stays with you as you unload everything that happened to you that day.

i feel like kai is definitely the partner to play with your hair as you lay on the couch together watching a random show. he feels your breathing slow down and sees that you fell asleep. he only wakes you up so he can help you back to your bedroom to sleep properly.

The King and his Cub By: @theweepingegg : This au is so cute and I love little MK with his Papa~ It's adorable and the humor just has me rolling! Plus the wholesome Father and Son moments + an uncle Macaque?? It's amazing! Literally just melts my heart with every new update.

Cursed Au By: @winterpower98: This Au consumed my life and continues to do so. The drama, the redemption, the growing bond between Wukong Macaque and MK?? I love it alll~ The whole universal set up of this growing Au is so full and wonderful.

Literally, ANY AU that is made by @journey-to-the-au ! This artist just- STEALS all of my attention. They got a lot of different Au's, and so many amazing ideas. There is action and romance and betrayal and platonic love that is so wholesome and sweet and AHHHHH. Taking a long tour through their entire tumblr page is 100% WORTH IT

Very similarly, anything by @rebeltigera! They also have so many different au's that are all AMAZING. Something about their style also- ahhhhh <3 It's so good. I definitely suggest taking a dive into their tumblr too. Their Macaque is honestly probably my favorite version of Macaque!

Forged Faith by @swagginmun Gosh the anxiety but also the pure adoration I have for this particular Au?? Definitely follows a more canon storyline but has one HECK OF A TWIST. The expressions that are done are amazing and I really really can't wait for this one to continue as its current chapter just ended on something INTENSE.

Eclipsed Apprentice by @journeytomonkiekid : I've been following this one for a while. I LOVE IT. There are so many talented people in the LMK community and this comic takes an interesting turn to the canon of LMK. Has some great Oc's and the storyline has me hooked! Lots of drama, and redemption, and so far the character growth is *Chef kiss*

Even Rainfall Has Shadows By @linklefr : Another fancomic that takes it's own path and turn from the LMK canon. Oc's are so cute and I just wanna squeeze them! It's really growing to be its own thing! It's got a lot of talk about self-worth and toxic habits and overall overcoming those that the characters need to grow from, and I can't wait to see where it goes!

FANFICS: (I have way too many. My gosh. And honestly if folks have more recommendations, please put them in the comments! Or if you have a story you wrote yourself I would love to read it!) SunBreak : First LMK fanfic I ever read. It is the rabbit hole that dropped me into loving Macaque and parent Macaque to be more precise~ Goes way off canon and I'm LOVING IT

There May be no such thing as eternity: Possed Wukong- I cannot explain how much possessed Wukong still reaching out to the Macaque and the gang just makes my brain flip~

A Garden Across Our Collar Bone: THIS. Ahhhh- Just bury me with this fanfic in my hand. MK X Red Son and ahhh- Also, ANYTHING this author (PittiedPeaches) writes is GOLD.

Of Blood and Bones: A big inspiration to me and their story is SO GOOD. The angst but also fluff that is slipped in? It's an amazingly sad but wonderful read. And I really love the world-building

Peach Blossoms: I'm a sucker for any Hanahaki disease kind of story and this is everything I wanted and more. This was soooo good and it flowed really well.

Love Team: Ooooh boy this story took me on a roller coaster ride. MY GOSH I never knew what to expect and it always had me on the edge of my seat~

Is this A Monkey-Thing or Dad-Thing?: Any Dad wukong focused fic will just catch my feet and trip me into the pit of the story. Every time. This one is so cute~

Kiss Your Knuckles: This oneshot is soo sooo good! And also horribly tragic. Gosh it just destroyed me! I definitely suggest it!

Clara Slaying Richards by @oh-so-youre-a-nerd

I wanna do this post justice because it deserves it but also I just wanna scream incoherently as well.

akakldjakkkaja!!! I still can’t believe this art exists!!! Thank you, Thia!! With all my heart, thank you!!!

So now I’m gonna attempt a coherent thought. Wish me luck.

This art came about when I made an offhand comment about this painting in some tags (because I’m a geek about this stuff and Baroque art in particular). The artwork above is based on Judith Slaying Holofernes by Artemisia Gentileschi.

I’ve had it in my head for sooooo long that we needed some art based on this with MC and her bestie taking care of things Richards because no one else is doing anything, nor do they seem inclined to. Sometimes ladies see things that need doing and they just gotta do what they gotta do.

Things need doing and so we do ‘em!!

I always thought the original painting by Artemisia is perfect for this story because MC and Briar don’t give up like the rest of them do. They refuse to resign themselves to their supposed fate and take matters into their own hand. Plus, if you take Artemisia’s own personal history into account, this art as a model for Desire and Decorum MC is perfect.

Artemisia was unable to truly get revenge on the men (one in particular) in her life that sought to use her and so she took well-known stories of women and gave them a new life through her paintings, a realistic one.

Whereas her male counterparts in the art world chose to depict these same women as helpless or even intrigued and accepting of the unwanted advances of gross old men, Artemisia depicted these woman as the victims they truly were or in the case of the above art, depicted the women as their own heroes. Because she learned the lesson well, you can rely on yourself but not your family or those you should be able to trust. Plus you have to admire an artists that breaks tradition and show women that are not the helpless creatures men seem to think they are.

To see this art come to life with MC and Briar is beyond exciting and to see it come to life soooo well is beyond thrilling. Thia, I hope you realize the talent you have!! The things talked most about in art history regarding this work by Artemisia (beyond her history) are the masterful use of chiaroscuro and the tension in the figures. It takes a helluva lot of force to severe a head and so many artists fail to accomplish portraying the strength and sheer force it takes to so such. You have managed both the masterful use of light and shadow and portrayed both MC and Briar absolutely killing it!!

She thinks the sound feels brand new and fresh, and is a completely different sound that she’s not used to. She believes that new horizons are coming soon but she could also be quite scared and worried about the publics opininon on the song.

She believes this song would lead to fan wars and disharmony amongst the fandoms, and just overall disapprovement from fans. Yunjin will try to block out the negativity and probably avoid her phone, just to avoid seeing all the comments. Yunjin will feel really emotionally overwhelmed and really upset to be honest.

J-Hopes thoughts : 7oP, KNoS rx, QoP, AoS rx, 9oW rx

Well J-Hope on the other hand will feel quite confident about this. He thinks that the song is really good and that him and yunjins hard work really paid off. J-Hope could also think that the song will lead to spiteful and unnecessary arguments on social media, and just everything will be a mess to be honest.

Apart from this for now, he really did want Yunjin to be in the song, he thinks she’s really talented who’s really career oriented and is also well established! (he seems to be a fan of LSFM to be honest lol)

Once again, J-Hope thinks there will be a ton of judgements towards the song. He could probably feel really powerless to be honest, and if the reaction to the songs ends up turning out negatively, I don’t think there will be collabs anymore…☹️

Well… on the positive note. People like you anon, are all looking forward to fhe collab and are literally just over the moon lol! Everyone feels really confident about this! The public believes that the song will be a success and a good listen.

But unfortunately… the public who are fans of the two idols will not share their honest opinions on the song and not share their thoughts. They’ll think the song is not good enough?! They could thinks it’s a flop or the disliked song on the album?

On the other hand… people who really like the song will have to be HIGHLY defensive, they will be fighting tooth and nail to prove to people that the song is actually good.

Unfortunately the WoF rx shows to prove that this will be quite unlucky toward the general public and artists themselves. This whole discourse will probably never be forgotten to be honest, because the fan wars that are going to happen…😬

And I really hope that won’t happen because yea… it’s not a good thing for one (Yunjin) to experience for collaborating with one of the idols who inspired her to be who she is today.

on the subject of writing, ive GOT to write more, just need some ideas that isnt too far from how he is in canon (i love him for what ive seen, not because of the fantasies ive hd lmfao). writing takes so much thought and i commend those who take their time to make amazing pieces, i can barely crack 2k words without thinking this is a masterpiece when the talented can make 4k words and its only the mf START. I haven't read many stories in the past months, but I managed to catch up with some. so were we go, a little shout out to amazing creators and my absolute favourite stories I have read lately.

Remember, We're Madly in Love - by @velidewrites; Feysand AU; as all her work incredibly well-written and very exciting to read, one warning: you won't be able to stop, so save some time to read it, it is so worth it. not only are the characters were well developed but the whole scenery is so beautifully described in so much detail and with so much love

You and I are going to change the world - by @velidewrites; Shadow&Bone AU; there is only one chapter out so far, but from that you already know that this is going to be another amazing story by this incredibly talented author.

The Valkyrie's Wolf - by @headcanonheadcase; such a cute idea to write about Gwyn and Ithan; I loved the idea and loved the little stories for SJM romance week even more. also if you like Gwynriel you definitely have to check out her other works, such a talented writer.

Cowboy Like Me - by @separatist-apologist; Nessian AU; the idea...god, I loved it. save a horse ride a cowboy, you know? now serious, just like all her other stories so incredibly well written, loved it so much.

I've Got a Hundred Thrown Out Speeches I Almost Said to You - by @the-lonelybarricade; you want angsty Elucien, you shall receive. I loved this so much and felt the pain and all sorts of emotions, so so well written.

You Look Like Bad News - by @the-lonelybarricade; Elucien; this is most definitely the fic I have read the most on this platform, I cannot even count the times of how often I went back to this fic just to read it again. this is just sooooo good, so you all have to read it, this is an order!!

Forget Me Not - by @moononastring; Elucien; this is the first Elucien story and I have no idea how many times I have re-read it, probably as many times as the you look like bad news story. I still love the story just as much as the first time reading it, it is simply amazing.

I was sketching earlier just for funsies and…. It made me think. How do you think satosugu would feel with an artist!reader who uses them as drawing references teehee… like maybe you ask satoru to go fetch you ur workbook and he goes into ur room & gets confused and ends up stumbling upon your sketchbook…. And he’s like oh a little peek couldn’t hurt!!! And then he finds various drawings of him and sugu, and gets such a sappy fuzzy feeling in his heart because you captured all of their features perfectly, even down to the little details about their appearance that the average person wouldn’t really take note of :((( this could also work in different au’s tho… merman sugu perhaps? Maybe he’s having a little sleep on the nice cold bedroom floor and wakes up n sees reader in a baggy hoodie + sketchbook and colouring pencils/pens in hand admiring his tail and making sure they get every pretty colour right <333 or royalty au where satoru and suguru are royalty of some kind… reader is the kid of someone unimportant and they both stumble across reader’s art room while causing mischief one day and satoru decides then and there that you’re THEIR honorary artist and you will paint their portraits from now on whenever it’s necessary <33 he’s bratty but we love him. Back to canon jjk universe…. I’m thinking abt how it would be so much cuter if they had no idea reader was an artist like. Satoru jokingly takes what he assumes is ur diary and waves it around in the air so u can’t reach it…. Threatening to read it unless u give him a kiss (he wouldn’t actually read it but he wants his kiss leave him alone) and he accidentally drops it and it falls open on a page that’s just full of drawings of him and sugu with a few hearts dotted around and just so many sketches of them smiling… maybe little notes reader added about how pretty stsg are…. Satoru is sooo giddy and so teasing like he’s so honoured u think he’s pretty enough to DRAW and sugu is just as flustered but he hides it a lil better…. :3 Sorry I’m actually going insane right now SEDATE MEEEEE EYGEHEHUJJEURHUHH 😭😭 I hope ur doing well tho !!!! pole dance anon again! thank u! i usually wear a sports bra and compression shorts or a leotard for class, i don’t mind wearing so little bc it’s similar to a swimsuit tbh. idk if it’s easier w heels bc i don’t want to get them tbh lol.

idk it just makes me feel like disconnected from the “community” of it bc i’m not there to be sexy and a lot of them are, i’d gander most even are there to like “connect with their sexuality” or whatever and yk i think it’s good that women are becoming comfortable with their bodies through movement and it helped me on that front as well, it’s just that ive seen soooo much praise for strippers and whatnot. i think some of it is bc dancing sensually in a safe protected environment surrounded by only women Does make u feel more in touch with ur body and sensual and supported, but that’s Not at all how the crowd at a club is. like during my performance the crowd was so supportive and cheering when i hit hard moves and it was so encouraging but that was bc the crowd Knew the artistry and talent required. men at strip clubs aren’t even really there for the dancing it’s all half naked customer service to them. i had to leave the subreddit for pole bc of all the “u don’t deserve to dance if u don’t support strippers whorephobia” nonsense. like i’ve been in classes w strippers before and it was literally fine we were all just there to dance and learn.

or just that they enjoy dancing so they’re like. wow it’s amazing that people get paid for this! but none of them actually do. most of the women i dance with have “real” well paying jobs u could put on a resume. it’s just bonkers to me. anyways i have many thoughts on the whole thing and u said u liked when ppl signed off so i’ll sign off here i suppose!

Ranting to myself because I won’t leave a negative review on a fanfic.

But ugh, this is an author I usually like but she leans sometimes on a few crappy fanfic MDZS tropes though not too much (like Wei Ying has low self-esteem though it’s usually small enough to bypass). This last fic, though, has all the crappy fanfic tropes I hate but not until the end of the fic. Surprise!

Such as-

- Wei Ying is some struggling artist/any job and Lan Zhan is uber famous and talented

- Wei Ying get blamed for all even though Lan Zhan clearly is also at fault for bad communication.

-Wei Ying apologizes, Lan Zhan doesn’t and Lan Zhan tells Wei Ying he needs to not make sacrifices.

- at the very end of the fic, literally last few paragraphs, Wei Ying says he was stupid for not recognizing Lan Zhan’s love and Lan Zhan tells Wei Ying he was just slow, not stupid. !!!! Your whole fanfic had Lan Zhan doing mostly nothing to communicate his love and the argument they had was also his fault for being terrible at communicating! Ugh.

So once again something that was set up and even sort of mentioned to be both having problems communicating all falls on Wei Ying. Soooo many fanfics do this.

There are just too many fanfics where Lan Zhan is some perfect epitome and Wei Ying is a gremlin. God I hate that term. No. Just no. Way to reduce these well-rounded characters to shitty fanfic tropes. Lan Zhan is definitely not perfect and Wei Ying is not some disaster. They’re supposed to be equals, not one superior to the other.

Let me shout that last line from the roof tops. Equals. No, Lan Zhan will not always beat Wei Ying. No he will not always be the best of the best and Wei Ying always number two or below.

I don’t think I’ve ever read any fic where that was reversed (except my own but I had a valid reason, not because one is better). And very few fanfic where they’re equal.

I think there’s some inherent bias against outgoing, charismatic characters. Like that means you aren’t smart or are some “gremlin.” But that is another post on analyzing the typical fanfic writer and myself making lots of assumptions.

Huh. You know, this made me feel better. :D

ive stumbled across Nonviolent Communications and thought that it was gonna be like any other story, i ended up being so wrong. When i tell you i was absolutely blown away with how well written, structured, and paced the story was, you wouldn’t believe it. Your amazing writing skills left me reading anywhere. I am absolutely addicted to this and i am sitting at the edge of my seat to see what else you have planned for future chapters

i am so willing to create some fan art for you in regards of the story because its so good.

the amazing bits of fluff after long anticipation, the small little gestures, eventually getting close enough to share personal details with miguel o hara that eventually reciprocates the same things?? BROOOOOOOOO,,, 😭❤️❤️ Since things are so slow, its such a treat when they have they’re cute little moments.

All im saying is that this is the BEST Miguel O’Hara fanfic that I have ever taken the pleasure of reading. i am SOOOO STOKED FOR WHAT ELSE YOU HAVE IN STORE!!
