I don't know if someone discussed this before, but do we know if there were any gedds on earth during/by the end of the invasion? If there were, what do we think happened to them after the war?

Maaan, I wish we had more intel on the gedds. It's possible that Aftran and Edriss are correct in their perception that gedds lack higher-order brain functions and genuinely benefit from symbiosis with yeerks... and it's possible that this is the same flavor of lie as humans telling each other that insects don't feel pain.

I sorta prefer the idea that it really is symbiosis, because then Seerow interrupts a fully-functioning ecosystem by infecting the yeerks with Andalite-Style Imperialism. And that fits with the themes of the series better. Whereas "there's no non-harmful way for yeerks to inhabit hosts" feels less on-brand.

That said... where does that leave the gedds? Maybe as hosts for yeerks who want to remain yeerks, but also want to leave the pool at times? Maybe they return to the homeworld? Maybe in some kind of protected Earth space, like the hork-bajir and taxxons? (If so, and if they don't have their own Toby or Arbron, I shudder to think about the risk of exploitation.) I'm torn, because the question of their sapience and independence is so unanswered.

Here's a sneak peek at a new OC, Hailey's father Walter Geist!

He started out as a random OC I doodled some time back, but I decided to put him in OTO. I don't want to say too much about him just yet, but I will say that, like many of the other OTO characters, he's now a retooled version of a character from one of my AUs.

And given that Hailey herself is based off of/is a retooled version of my AU version of Hat Kid, you can probably guess who Walter is based off, at least partly...

First of all, the way they portray panic attacks in this show is sooo good. Believe me, I should know. It's extremely accurate, with the visuals and the camera work, and Dylan's acting is on point (Tyler's too in that one shower scene after the break-up with Allison). And it makes me feel for Stiles so much.

And then HIM AND LYDIA AHHH!!

The kiss, and the way it instantly grounds him and brings him back, and then the adorable awkwardness that happens between the two of them afterwards...

"Thanks. That was smart." "Yeah...I just...read it...somewhere."

JUST ADMIT YOU TWO LOVE EACH OTHER ALREADY GOSH DARNAT!!

AHHHHH IT'S JUST SO GOOD!!!

And then to watch them, having both settled down, be able to look at the situation in a new light and start to come up with a solution.

And then to go to the office ("okay, you can have my session" XD) and find the tree drawing and to have Stiles make the connection because LYDIA BROUGHT HIM BACK AND NOW HE CAN THINK STRAIGHT AGAIN!!!

AHHHHH IT'S SO PERFECT!!!

And now Stiles knows where they are, and even though I can't finish the episode until later, I have SO MUCH HOPE NOW AHHHH!!!

Things weren’t going at all how Tamlen had imagined nor hoped. When Zathrian had agreed to see the werewolves and their... Lady of the Forest, he was surprised but glad to figure there may be a better outcome that would help the Clan out. Ultimately, that was the goal, after all.

Unfortunately, after it was revealed how and why Zathrian had done what he’d done, and cursed the humans the way he had things took a turn for the worse. The chances for a peaceful outcome seemed to slip away bit by bit, and Tamlen couldn’t blame the Keeper for what he’d done-- after how badly he’d been wronged. Hurt.

A fight broke out in the blink of an eye, and Tamlen instinctively had himself between Zathrian and the werewolves-- staring down the companions he’d journeyed with in the process. A faint frown tints his features, but he refused to step aside, instead keeping his shield up and sword at the ready. Fighting the wolves would be easy, so to speak but. He did come to care at least a bit for his companions.

Sylvans came to Zathrian’s aid, enough to keep his companions at bay at the start but he figured it was only a matter of time before things got more hectic. A few of the werewolves completely ignored the beings, springing through the chaos to try their hand at landing a hit on the Keeper kept carefully behind Tamlen’s shield. None of them managed to pull it off, however-- felled by the Warden’s sword as he took the brunt of any attempted attack.

He could hear that the battle seemed to be going against Zathrian’s favour, the sounds of the giant trees falling to the ground reaching his ears and making them twitch in a sort of nervousness. Annoyance bubbled up as Tamlen finally got a chance to look up and over the battlefield. All three of the giant beings seemed to be on the ground, and as such the werewolves attention had shifted solely in his direction. Half crouching, Tamlen prepared himself for what was certain to be an intense battle.

Before the werewolves had the chance to completely close the distance between them, a body collided heavily with his own-- surprising him enough due to catching him off guard. He was ready to instinctively lash out when he realized just who it was.

Rose.

Tamlen’s muscles tensed, but he otherwise didn’t try too hard to throw her off. He didn’t want to fight her, “Let me go.”
