The News Gets to Them (Walker AU. Sorbet Cookie, Lilac Cookie, Black Garlic Cookie)

Black Garlic Cookie

She likely will hear about the prominence of the virus when viewers of her stream link her news reports and videos of the virus in action. Y/N Cookie is the first person that comes to her head as she tried to contact you, then she received another news report that stopped everything as she looked closely at the photo on the article….there you were at the center of the horde of infected cookies, staring directly at the camera, almost as if you knew Garlic would be looking at the photo. She quickly ends the streak and heads home, where she’s likely to break down at the thought of her beloved friend being beyond help…

Lilac Cookie

Lilac Cookie could only watch from the border of Yogurca, overseeing ships being sailed in to ensure that any funny looking cookies are dealt with immediately, Yogurca will not fall to the infection. That was, until he was called to the palace to Yogurt Cream, where he explains what he was told to him. There was this immensely large horde that’s been dubbed incrediblely difficult to get rid of, Yogurt Cream holds his composure barely before announcing that an infected Y/N Cookie was leading the horde, he wanted to bring this news to Lilac due to knowing how much he cares for Y/N Cookie and wished for him to only capture them, so their strawberry jam wouldn’t be on his hands. It was a rarity for Yogurt Cream to see Lilac get genuinely shocked at the news, he could tell Lilac was gonna blame himself for not being there for Y/N Cookie, maybe he could’ve saved them if he was there, if only….

Sorbet Cookie

Sorbet Cookie would take notice of your absence after a day or two, making them ask around the waters if they had seen Y/N Cookie lately, they were a prominent presence in the ocean in their fishing boat. Sorbet would get their answer when they come across a distraught Captain Ice Cookie on her ship, who had witnessed firsthand what this large horde of walkers were capable of, claiming a large part of her crew before she and the rest escaped. It was hard for her to tell Sorbet that Y/N Cookie was indeed still around, but longer the cookie they all knew. Sorbet couldn’t quite understand what she meant, where were you if she had seen you? Why aren’t you on the ship? Were you okay? What did she mean by that? Where were you? Sorbet got more and more worried as they looked around frantically in the ship, having to be calmed down by Captain Ice. She did not wish to have Sorbet see what she saw, to see the face of their former friend, now twisted by the infection.

SO, I made my own tragic legendary sea cookie since that seems to be the theme for devsis in between comms-

Beneath the dark, forgotten waves of the west sea, amongst a once bustling and colorful coral forest is it's sleepy monarch; Grand Reef Cookie. A jolly, yet strangely complaisant individual who spends his frail, doddering years tending to the decaying remains of his children's once proud homeland.

They have all left, of course. Some more hesitant than others to leave their loving father's side. But, Grand Reef Cookie was insistent of their retreat. That, unlike him, they were not bound to their namesake in soul and body. That the ocean held much more plentiful and vibrant sights that were not to be wasted fretting over a forgotten relic of the past. That doesn't stop many from visiting though... Bringing with them trinkets and offerings to help alleviate his wistful loneliness.

But, unlike some of his children, Grand Reef doesn't harbor any resentment for cookies. It's just not in his nature to harbor any hatred for... Well, anything, really. A reef is meant to be a nurturing and peaceful place for even the most ruthless apex predator, to be unwelcoming and unkind to even one creature would go against his very nature. ________

Why be a betrayed and/or volatile tragic, when you can be a sweet, hospice patient kind of tragic? That, and sea pollution and global warming tragic, I mean it's right there-
