Standing, Asalun, & Associates

An AOM &c. AU that nobody asked for, so I'm delivering!

This is me taking Mystery Incorporated, Dead End: Paranormal Park, Hilda, Mob Psycho 100, and let's be honest, the whole ghost segment of The Sword Interval that lives rent-free in my mind into one vibeful concept: Horatio and Marcus run a paranormal investigation business.

Due to all of their proposed names being terrible puns or just not catchy, they gave up and called it Standing & Asalun. They run it out of what is Horatio's Flowers in AOM, and they do extremely lackluster business. However, Celia thinks it's the most delightful fucking thing and inserted herself into the investigation so much that they essentially hired her. She still has a day job, like Marcus, and unlike Horatio MyOwnBoss Standing. Eventually Allison joined in, and even if they would hire him he doesn't actually want the job, so he's technically a contractor. Still, the addition of another regular meant that they finally felt like they had to change the name to Standing, Asalun, & Associates.

Season One

Season one is the alternate story to AOM and begins with things going poorly as usual - they're not actually that bad at their job, but they have a hard time finding people who actually need paranormal things investigated, or even stuff they can put on their video channel - until Sid blows into town, with his parents not far behind. Horatio is instantly convinced that something is Off. No one else agrees - obviously Sid is just having a bad time and is also sixteen years older than when they last saw him. Horatio is ready to acknowledge that he was just too hungry for a lead when Sid starts having dreams that are very clearly not normal weird but paranormal weird. On an island that seems to have nothing paranormal going on, there's nowhere they could possibly be coming from...unless Sid's recently arrived parents have something to do with it. But they're not even witches, let alone known to be capable of whatever this is. So why do they seem to make the dreams worse but their muddy message clearer? SAA - but especially Horatio and the newest associate, Sid - will stop at nothing to find out.

Yeah, he has a weird face. Adorable, but strange. Probably cuz he is still a lizard. At first i was confused about who he reminded me of. Plus, my brother Also mentioned how he also sound like V. So... Might be the same face model/voice actor. Idk

And about the transmasc swag: He is banished for being able to turn into a normal human guy, which "isnt normal" for his people. And if we take Chameleon and Khameleon as existing characters who were probably Also banished (we see Khameleon in the backround in one trailer) then i think we can see a patern. Need i say more?

sorian riddon is one of renny's childhood friends! he's a wood elf whose family used to live in the high forest… and his immediate family actually served as scouts and assassins for the flaming fists stationed in the area. long story short, some stuff went down, and the family was forced to relocate to baldur's gate

sorian was trained to be an assassin, but he sort of sucked at the assassinating part. sneaking around was more up his alley. he met renny and lavnia after he had snuck into their base of halfling misfits, and his timid nature got him adopted by the gang. he was the only non-halfling member and was frequently made to stand watch (because he was the tallest)

(pov you are sorian, 8 years old, and the halflings are making you talk to the flaming fists while they steal candy and you want to cry so bad)

anyway, he joins renny's adventuring party later down the line as a rogue (scout.) he was in neverwinter with renny when renny got yoinked by the nautiloid which left sorian very 🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️

I had another idea in regards to Percy or Percabeth. So, in House of Hades, we see Percy literally control a goddesses tears & poison to pretty much kill her before she can kill him & Annabeth; the only reason he doesn’t kill her is because Annabeth doesn’t want either of them to endure the potential consequences of what killing a goddess could entail— some people have said she was scared of Percy, but others said she was more scared for Percy. Either way, imagine if Percy did something like this again, but to one of the reader’s (gender neutral or male, and I’m thinking child of Apollo or Aphrodite, something like that) friends or siblings or something, and Annabeth doesn’t stop him; maybe the reader tried to break up with them, or just did something that made Percabeth feel the reader needed to be taught a lesson. Obviously this would be dark/yandere Percabeth again as opposed to normal cause y’know, they’d never do something like that unless they were crazy. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this and write my different requests & ideas; have a great day :)

A/n hope you enjoy, it’s been a while since I’ve read house of hades so I hope most of this is right, if not it’s the magic of this fic. No problem, I’m working on the other one, I just haven’t had much time to watch tv as of late. Also reader has hair.

The choking noises of Sorian as she chocked on her own blood. Y/n dropped to the ground as their body quivered. Percy’s eyes burned with a furry Y/n had never seen before. Annabeth moved to Y/n’s side and griped their shoulders tightly.

“Per…..Percy sto-p…” Y/n’s voice comes out hoarse and rough. Annabeth keeps a strong grip on Y/n as she watches Percy. Percy doesn’t stop as Sorian claws at her throat her treat pouring out of her sullen eyes. Y/n tried to shrug Annabeth off themself but she held tightly. Y/n looked up at Annabeth, their eyes filled with fear. Sorian dropped as blood pooled from her mouth. Y/n tried to get out of Annabeths iron grip but to no avail.

“Please! Stop it! She hasn’t done anything!”

Percy let out a noise of disappointment and shock his head softly. His hair bounced softly as he sent his charming boyish smile. Annabeth hummed softly petting Y/n’s hair. Sorian gurgled as she began to go red.

“Hasn’t done anything? Come on Sunshine.” Percy paused her playful tone turning sinister. “Wasn’t little miss Sorian trying to convince you to break up with us?”

Y/n froze as Annabeth’s hands dug into their scalp. Y/n whispered in pain as Annabeth tugged onto their hair.

“You wouldn’t have listened to her? Would you?” Annabeth taunted softly. Percy shot a quick look to Annabeth and she quickly released her grip on Y/n’s hair. Percy didn’t want to hurt Y/n, their little sunshine just needed to learn to be good. That’s all, and if the lesson could be learned by getting rid of Sorian, then that would be the lesson.

“N-no, I wouldn’t have listened! Please, Perc…. Annie… please stop!” Y/n pleaded with her lovers. Sorian’s skin went purple and Y/n tried to claw Annabeth off her. Annabeth and Percy shared a smile and the Sorian stopped moving. She stopped choking. Sorian just stopped.

Annabeth let go of Y/n and allowed them to crawled over to their dead sister. Y/n’s tears cloudier her eyes as she held tightly onto their older sister.

“Don’t cry baby, Sorian was trying to keep you away from us.” Annabeth comforted softly and she kissed Percy’s cheek. Percy leaned down kissing under Y/n’s chin, he licked at their salty tears with a smirk.

“Sunshine, don’t you understand. You’re ours, and nothing will keep you from us.”

With Percy’s words Y/n could only think misery is the truest form of love.

aka renny meets a bastard sword and it goes on to try and ruin his life

During an adventure in Starmetal Hills, Renny came across a strange blade. To his great surprise, the blade was a sentient weapon. It introduced itself as “Silvertongue” and proposed they band together.

Renny and Silvertongue became fast friends to the point that his sister, Lavnia, grew a little worried. Silvertongue would often encourage Renny to pursue reckless actions in order to “commit deeds worthy of song.”

Lavnia’s worries eventually proved to be true. During a job in the Heartlands, Silvertongue revealed its true nature. It manipulated Renny into harming his sister and friends. Thanks to his friend Issana’s intervention, no one died.

Issana convinced Renny and the others to entrust the blade to her, so she could see it properly sealed away. She insisted on going alone, as her ‘contact’ will only meet with her.

Issana did not return to Baldur’s Gate with the others. Six months passed.

Before his abduction, Renny was searching for Issana. His search led him to Neverwinter. He was accompanied by Sorian.

this ties into renny's companion quest bc... (under a cut cuz it's a lil long)

issana took silvertongue after beseeching her archfey patron to help seal the sword. she intended to deliver it to a member of her patron's court, but she got waylaid by the absolute's cult. unfortunately, she gets tadpoled and the sword falls into the cult's hands

so there's hints to this throughout act 1, and in act 2 you run into the tadpoled issana at moonrise towers much to renny's distress. he will ask the PC to help subdue her, to keep her safe until a proper cure can be found. whether you succeed or fail or refuse or w/e, you'll get silvertongue who immediately tries to butter you up with, "oh, i was keeping renny's friend here safe all this time, it seems like you guys are all involved in some serious world-saving business, i'd be more than happy to join you all"

i haven't thought much further than that, but silvertongue would pop into the party's telepathic network here and there (since it's bonded to renny, and renny has a tadpole) to give commentary while posing as very helpful. he'd make references to That One Incident with renny as, "he doesn't remember it correctly, it was only an accident" - gaslighting, basically, and trying to test the waters of whether he should stay with renny or if he can tempt anyone else
