looking back at the same coin I realize I'm not happy with it because it feels so incoherent - some of the scenes really add nothing and are so short - and also I spend (I feel) way too much time trying to justify and/or intellectualize emotions rather than letting the scenes flow more naturally/how it would flow with the characters. I think that's an issue with a lot of my writing. Love a good character study but I think I need to pull back on the internalizing everything all the time for every character lol. like yes Gale do be thinking about Mystra but he does not have to think about the guilt of it every second of his got dang life
