I love human AU GerIta as soulmates, one true love, made for each other and madly in love … but at the same time they’re incompatible. I love the depiction of Feliciano and Ludwig loving each other so much and therefore wanting so badly for their relationship to work, ignoring the fact that while they are irrevocably in love with one another, they can’t get along. Ludwig thinks Feliciano is too nonchalant, doesn’t take the responsibility he should, is too soft and often thinks a little too much of himself; Feliciano thinks Ludwig is too uptight, boring at times, emotionally distant. They try to work on it, they go to couples therapy and they do every damn thing but it’s just something in their fundamental structure that catches on the other, scratches and annoys and no amount of therapy sessions or open conversations or getting drunk and pretending not to notice will ever change that. Still they’re too selfish to let the other go even if it would be for the best…… I just LOVE LOVE LOVEEE that type of GerIta.
