INGLORIOUS BASTERDS - dir. Quentin Tarantino
I don't blame ya! Damn good deal! And that purty little nest you feathered for yourself. Well, if you're willing to barbecue the whole high command, I 'spose that's worth certain considerations. But I do have one question. When you get to your little place on Nantucket Island, I 'magine you're gonna take off that handsome-lookin' S.S. uniform of yours, ain'tcha?… That's what I thought. Now that I can't abide.

Hugo Stiglitz Imagines
Pairing: Hugo Stiglitz x reader
Warnings: Graphic death mention, blood cw
Requested by: Anonymous
Imagine if Hugo survived the fatality of Operation Kino. There was just one more Nazi left on his list and the Basterds’ happily obliged.
The sound of crunching leaves caused you, Aldo and Utivich to turn heads.
“Well, Goddamn’,” called out Aldo as he drank in the sight of a brooding, blood-stained Hugo Stiglitz.
“Hugo,” you whispered, shocked with relief that he was alive.
You rushed past the remaining Basterds over to him. Hugo allowed you to cup his face. It was covered in dirt, sweat and dark red droplets. Your finger grazed his cheek and he brought his hand against your own.
Hugo gazed achingly into your eyes. He felt the racing beat of his heart and rested his forehead against yours. He was unbelievably grateful that you were still in one piece.
Aldo and Utivich watched the couple silently. Hugo leaned away from you and caught the attention of the two soldiers.
“Where is he?” said Hugo gruffly.
Aldo and Utivich did not have to exchange looks to know exactly who Stiglitz was referring to.
“Sorry you missed ‘em. I reckon he’s on his sweet way to the Land o’ Free any minute now,” Aldo confirmed. “That is of course, if you have anything to do about it.”
“I mean, we did give him a nice parting gift to bring home to America,” Utivich replied.
“Got’a scalp outta that little driver of his, too,” Aldo added. “I’d say that’s a win.”
“Not yet. That Nazi’s mine,” Hugo gritted through his teeth.
Standing so closely, you felt the warmth of his body temperature rise. His eyes narrowed as he was staring at Aldo. Your hand pushed the other side of his face towards yours so he was looking at you again.
“You’re not thinking of— ” you started before Hugo cut you off.
“He can’t keep getting away with it,” He said, his voice firm and unwavering.
“Hugo, it’s dangerous. You just got back…”
His hand pulled your wrist away from his face.
“I have to be the one to kill him,” he said.
You matched his gaze and knew in your heart that this was the ultimate truth. Though, it had been the grief of thought— Hugo laying dead in the tavern, that was too unbearable for you to let him go so soon.
You thought of Hans Landa and his orchestrated deal to live an entire new life, his get out of jail free card, so to speak. The revelation sickened you.
“And you will,” Hugo heard you say confidently. His head turned to its side and he smiled at your words.
—— —— ——
Hugo sat on a stone ledge, sharpening his blade. You walked over and took a seat next to him, watching the way he maneuvered the blade’s edge back and forth. It was a comfort to know he’d let you sit so close, sometimes just to watch him. The two of you shared the silence, basking in one another’s company.
The repeated scraping of the blade came to a halt. Hugo tucked it away into its protective sleeve. Aldo passed by the two.
“Ready?” Aldo asked him. Hugo nodded at the southern man, his eyes following him.
“Hey,” Hugo’s quiet voice spoke out. You turned to him and felt his fingers entwine with yours. You looked over and saw a warm glow in his brown eyes. “Try not to miss me too much,” he whispered with a grin.
Hugo gently brushed his lips over your hand and you smiled. The soldier got up from the stone ledge and followed Aldo into the vehicle. His newly sharpened blade packed into his pocket.
“He’ll be okay,” you heard Utivich’s voice.
You smiled sadly, as the car drove off. “Yeah,” you agreed. “And that fucker doesn’t stand a chance against Hugo.”
Utivich laughed. “He’ll be scared shitless.”
—— —— ——
Aldo’s boots squeaked as he stepped out through the hospital’s bleak hallway. A German soldier guarding a door spotted him.
“Hey! You’re not supposed to—” His words were interrupted by the deep slit of his throat. A river of blood leaked out from the wound. The uniformed German collapsed and Hugo stepped over him, making sure to leave a dusted boot-print.
They reached the wooden door and the two men exchanged glances.
“Bingo,” Aldo said, nodding his head to the now lone door.
Quietly, Hugo turned the knob. There he was. The despicable Jew Hunter. Fast asleep, nestled on his cot. He had layers of bandages wrapped over his head.
Hugo’s eyes roamed back onto Aldo, and he smirked. “I’m a big fan of your work.”
Aldo shut the door behind them.
Hugo hovered over Hans’ sleeping body, lightly slapping his facial cheeks. Hans stirred awake, eyes widened in horror at Hugo’s menacing smile.
“Ah, Lan-da,” Hugo acknowledged in a tune.
Hans audibly gulped in fear. His big eyes flickered away from Hugo. “Aldo…” He warned. “Our deal!”
“Yeah, ‘bout that,” Aldo replied, stepping forward. “You remember what I said about gettin’ chewed out? Well, here it is.” He shrugged his shoulders.
“Auf wiedersehen,” Hugo said as he flashed a smile at the former SS officer. Quickly, he tugged at a pillow, covering the Austrian’s fearful face. Hugo, unsheathing his knife, forcibly stabbed through the cushion. Again and again and again.
Stab.
Stab.
Stab.
Underneath Hugo, Hans’ body reacted in a frenzy. His legs squirmed in a fit of struggle, his hands both gripped the sides of his bed.
The former officer’s grip loosened, eventually falling at its side. Hugo removed the pillow and admired his masterpiece. He crawled off of the body and pushed it to the floor with a thud.
Hans’ limp figure lied on the hospital floor. His sandy hair was tousled and stained with mists of dark red. Fresh blood was gashed across his face, dripping down his neck. With one last look, Hugo spit on the dead Colonel.
Aldo kneeled down and pulled out his knife. He began to scalp the last, most infamous Nazi on their list. With Hans’ scalp in his hands, he looked over to his fellow soldier.
“Nice work, Stiglitz. Let’s get’cha home.”

Astro observations part 6
🪻Individuals with Sun in Taurus degrees (2,14,26) are always thinking about money - how they can earn more money, what to spend it on. If it's in Scorpio or conjuncts Pluto, they'll often lie about how much money they actually have just to profit off of you. You'll often hear them say "I don't have any money" but secretly have stash of money hidden in their house
🪻Not only do Aquarius Suns have a lot of friends, they also befriend the shy/awkward/forgotten kid (me). I haven't noticed this with other Sun signs
🪻People with Venus in Leo/Leo degrees (5,17,29) often get complimented on their thick hair
🪻Asteroid Fraga (1105) conjuncting any of your planets/angles/nodes indicates your love for strawberries lol
🪻 Check your Moon in Webb (3041) Persona chart. It gives you more insight on the type of content you like to consume on the internet. You can also take into consideration the degree of your Moon
Aries 🌙 - *watches sports matches live*; *laughs at stupid, childish memes *
Taurus 🌙 - the one who always searches for tutorials; "how to bake lava cake", "how to remove a stripped screw"; hmm, maybe i should move *searches houses for sale*;
Gemini 🌙 - *watches memes*, doesn't care what kind of meme it is as long as it's a meme; *scrolls endlessly on r/todayilearned*
Cancer 🌙 - *watches baby videos*; the type that reads family drama posted on reddit, but also regularly checks what their own relatives post on social media
Leo 🌙 - the newest tea on their fav celebrities; they're the first to know what Zendaya ate this morning, where Tom Hanks went on vacation yesterday and if Kylie Jenner is pregnant again; awww a kitty *ends up in an endless loophole of cat videos*
Virgo 🌙 - "declutter with me" videos, "clean with me" videos; *checks their fav blog every day*; *watches workout videos while working out*; *checks e-mails 20 times a day*; ugh, i need to take a break *watches pet videos*
Libra 🌙 - "get ready with me for..." videos, "OOTD" videos, make-up tutorials; their pinterest is full of outfit inspo and aesthetic house decor; "red/green flags in a guy/girl" videos, "first date do's and don'ts" videos
Scorpio 🌙 - *watches every true crime documentary out there*; "Michael Jackson spirit box session"; time to do the deed *watches p8rn*
Sagittarius 🌙 - *saves bible verses all the time*; searches "how to manifest everything you want", obsessed with Neville Goddard content (i'm so sorry, i'm guilty of this); *decides to go on a spontaneous trip, so they end up watching travel videos*
Capricorn 🌙 - the type that doesn't use the internet for entertainment much; actually, you'd be surprised by how little they use their phone compared to the average person; probably has a daily time limit set on their phones, *reads memoirs and biographies*,
Aquarius 🌙 - twitch is their life basically; if they're not watching someone play a video game, then they're playing a video game; *follows LGBTQ+ content during pride month*
Pisces 🌙 - they're listening to music 24/7, has a playlist for every mood they're going through, *watches tangled for the 7th time in a row*; actually, they're always watching a tv series if not for a disney movie
🪻I noticed that most film directors (Hitchcock, Kubrick, Tarantino) have got Neptune in Gemini or Neptune in Gemini degrees (3,15,27). Besides Hitchcock, they also don’t have any aspect between Neptune and Mercury

This is right - fluff
Y/n is the manager for the band tokio hotel. Y/n and bill are dating and they seem so happy together when fans see them out in public. They post each on instagram all the time but recently y/n has been mentally burnt out with the tour and not sleeping as much because of the late nights and early mornings and bill has noticed. One day at midday he came up behind her and hugged her
"You should get some sleep princess" bill whispers into her ear
(It was obvious that she needed it)
Y/n shook her head no, being the stubborn girl she is. She was sure to stay up to make sure the band got to sound check even though it wasn't until 5pm and it was 1:30pm.
After a bit of pushing from Bill she finally gave in and got some sleep before the big night she and the boys had a head of them
A/N: SORRY IF THIS IS BAD ITS MY FIRST ONE

I recently read an article in which Quentin Tarantino stated that fewer movie stars exist as a result of "Marvel movies in Hollywood." I think Jennifer Aniston made a similar argument before saying that there are no longer any movie stars. I'm not sure what that means. I can think of a lot of movie stars right now, such as Zendaya, Timothee Chalamet, and Zoey Deutch etc. what do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this and Quentin's comments.
QuillBot's
Months ago, when you sent me this ask, anon, I wrote out a really long reply and as soon as I hit post, my laptop crashed and ate the answer, and I was so annoyed at myself for not saving my reply, that I couldn't bring myself to try and re-write an answer. I'm really sorry for that, especially because I think this is such an interesting ask (or well, two asks, because I think the death of the movie star and the impact Marvel's had on the broader concept of a movie star, are kinda two different things).
I've been thinking about it a bit again recently though, particularly as the Oscar race gears up, and Jacob Elordi and Charles Melton''s respective stars are rising in an industry currently desperate to find the new young Hollywood male 'talent', and I've been thinking about it again because honestly?
I agree with Jennifer Aniston, I think the movie star is dead.
We are a long, long way from Golden Age Hollywood where actors like Cary Grant and Marilyn Monroe could captivate a public imagination in a way that translated to big box office effect, after all. Hell, we're even out of New Hollywood, an era dominated by names like Al Pacino, Jack Nicholson, and Jane Fonda, and the Blockbuster era with Tom Cruise, Sylvester Stallone and Harrison Ford.
My original reply went into a lot of the different reasoning as to why this is (like with many things, I don't think there's any one reason for it), in particular how the advent of streaming has changed our relationship with films and TV shows, how the saturation of the market has diluted the staying power of celebrities, how social media and the perceived accessibility of celebrities removes personal mystique which in turn removes intrigue and increases a sense of entitlement, and the fact that so many people having stopped going to the cinema means that the experiential element of seeing a film in a setting larger than life has been diminished.
I think call out culture plays a role too, with any actor on the rise being torn down by tweets they made eight, nine or ten years ago impacting how their star rises, I think the dismantling of the studio system (which is a good thing!) also harmed actors in the long run as studios stopped investing the same resources into making and training stars (they used to be able to sing, dance and act! Now some can barely even act!), and I think, of course, the rise of prestige TV changed the industry substantially (after all, movie stars were movie stars - they traditionally did not, and would not, do TV, which created a clear class structure in terms of screen-based storytelling).
And yeah, I think the language shift from film and TV to content has done irrepairable damage to the artistry of filmmaking and the consideration of a movie star as an actor at the top of their field instead of an actor with the most Insta followers or YouTube subscribers (after all, if everything's content, isn't it the same thing? [no lol]).
Which I guess is kind of where Quentin Tarantino's argument comes in, right? What he's saying is that Marvel's made it so that the IP - the content itself - is the star, not the actor, and I'd say he's probably right with that.
Think of it this way - back in the New Hollywood/Blockbuster era, Harrison Ford was the movie star - he was leading new franchises left-right-and-centre between Star Wars and Indiana Jones, sci fi epics like Blade Runner, leading action thrillers like Patriot Games, The Fugitive and Clear and Present Danger and getting nominated for Oscars for Witness.
He was a movie star in every sense of the word because you could hinge a film - one with a new concept, not just remakes or sequels - on him and be virtually guaranteed a success. He was what sold the tickets, the director just hopefully had to make something good enough people would leave the cinema glad they saw.
Tarantino's argument is the Marvel model - - hell, even the new Star Wars properties, turned the franchise into the star, for better or worse, which means original films can't compete because nobody knows the IP. Back when Harrison Ford was at the top of his game, his name was what helped original films including smaller, standalone works like Witness find an audience, but the studios have changed that. Capitalism has changed that.
Properties with existing audiences and deep pockets for merch were prioritised, only now those franchises are faltering and you've got a generation trained that 'cinematic events' are reserved for blockbusters in established universes, instead of taking a risk on a new film because you know you love an actor who's in it.
Do I think we could go back?
Maybe, but probably not.
I think the place we are now in the history of cinema / TV / 'content' means you can't make a movie star anymore because I think the industry is simply so different that no actor can break through in the same way that even Leonardo DiCaprio could 30 years ago. That industry doesn't exist anymore, actors aren't guaranteed draws (Bones and All proved that for Timothee Chalamet, and Wonka I think could go a similar way), or they have to heavily rely on other industries to become household names which I think dilutes them as a pure 'movie star' (Zendaya's a great example of this - I like her a lot, but how many movies has she even been in? They built her career up in peripheral industries long before they tried to sell her as a movie star, and frankly, I'd question her even as a leading actress yet given she's typically only either been in ensemble casts or clear supporting).
It's a whole new world, and yeah, I think the movie star is dead.

transformers: division (mini intro)
basically a transformers tv show in novel form, which focuses almost entirely on the decepticons
protagonists: starscream > shockwave > soundwave (could change but starscream will def still be the lead)
antagonists: tarn
predicted rating: M or E (for strong language, mature themes like war, and violent imagery. i’m still not sure about full-on, dark web-level gore, though— let me know your thoughts!)
site to be used: ao3
envisioned tone for story: quentin tarantino but more political and less satirical
canon-compliance-ness: since i’m basically treating this as my resume for hasbro, no smut. sorry lads 😔
there’ll def be relationships that i think should’ve been explored more intimately in shows/films but there will be no romance, only tension and your typical militant homoeroticism
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
last notes:

there's a scene in bon voyage s3 e6, when the members were eating and jhope mentioned that tae and jk were sleeping upside down and hugging each other's legs, i found jimin's reaction to the info kinda sus. the scene was overall weird, jimin was sitting down when hobi finished talking, with no apparent indication of standing up, and suddenly they show jimin's reaction and he's like "wae (what)!?!?" but he's standing up, and then another cut to hobi confirming the story, then the camera goes back to jimin who is seated again and says "that's weird". do you think they edited some of the conversation out?
Anon, this moment makes me 😆🤭
Sorry for making you wait. Let's go go go!
(Had too much fun with this one, it is quite long >.<)
Here is a clip of the moment
vimeo
Cr. Full video here
Let's Quentin Tarantino this. Do I think this was a sus moment? Do I think some of the convo was edited out?
Yes, to both. 👀
JM going from sitting to standing up without us seeing it happen didn't stick out to me too much only because in content like this (Not just BTS content), editors tend to show multiple viewpoints of a moment and I'm guessing JM stood up when we saw the close up of Hobi explaining what he saw. You can also see Hobi's eyes are looking upwards as he's talking.
What gets me tho is JM's initial reaction to Hobi, going eh?! And then needing to clarify what he just heard lol.
Then we cut to JM saying "왜 그래" with that face and that tone.
Tumblr media
Side note: I'm not Korean and I'm not fluent in Korean. I have been learning for a while. I'm somewhere between beginner & intermediate and understand that context, tone, and the words used, explain so much when it comes to the Korean language. That's why I wanted to highlight this next part.
Let's talk about the sub-titles here for a moment.
The translator decided to go with "What's wrong?"
This is correct, but it's not the only meaning of those words. "왜 그래" can also mean the following depending on the tone, context, and intonation (rise & fall of voice): "Why is it like that?" "Why are you like that?" "Why are you acting like that?" "What's going on?"
This is a great post about how "왜 그래" can be used.
IMO, JM's tone sounded like it had a bit of a bite behind it. There was no rise in his voice at the end of the words to sound like a curious question. And his face was a little more on the serious side. Again IMO, something like "Why were you like that?" seems more accurate.
He gave off a WTF? vibe.
Back to the question about edited-out parts
I think it's hard to say if anything was edited out right before JM said 왜 그래 but I definitely think the reaction to what JM said was edited out.
There could have been more conversation, but I honestly think there was probably awkward silence after him saying that. 🤣
Because JK & V were both awfully quiet while Hobi was explaining, other than initially asking "Did we?" "Who did it?" There was no laughing, no smiling.
To me, it felt like JK & V were starting to sense JM's unrest with the whole thing and so they decided to stay quiet since an upset Mimi is not what you want to deal with. An upset Mimi is a feisty Mimi.
Look, we always talk about JK being the possessive one but I just think JK is louder about it than JM. There are 2 possessive men in the Jeon-Park Household.
While JK does do some type of skinship with all members, I do think JM enjoys his boyfie privileges. That there are just some things JK doesn't do often with others. And it was probably weird to hear that they were hugging each other's feet especially when JK is sensitive to smells 🤣
Before I go, I have to bring up our president Hobi.
Tumblr media
Like, Hobi.
Why do I feel like you're snitching on them to Mimi??
🤣🤣🤣
That's the funniest part about this moment to me. After bringing up the situation to JK & V, Hobi is literally telling this story to JM.
I love Hobi. I miss him!
Thank you for the ask Anon. 💜💛
For you, Happy Jikook inc...

This is a good thing My family and home life. It’s still my favourite place to be. Football in all its gross financial injustices, still remains a truly entertaining, all welcoming spectacle – a break from our realities. I spent a lot of my days obsessed with the beautiful game. My own team Tottenham’s reimagining as a team for the neutral under Ange Postecoglou. I’ve had a serious post-covid hangover about going out; crowds and especially going to concerts. But still this year I managed to catch a few shows. John Cale and Knife Girl at the Helsinki Festival was very special. Elvis Costello at Kulttuuritalo was a great way to spend an evening – I didn’t really want it to end (and this was also a rare date with my partner!) Emma Ruth Rundle, Sorry, Jake Xerxes Fussell were good festival experiences. I’m an eternal optimist with dreams that we can all get along, people can be who they wanna be and somehow humanity pulls together to save the planet. My dream state staves off the dark feelings that are increasingly hard to ignore.
This is a low The Israel demolition of Palestine in response to Hamas atrocities is a key world happening which will resonate for decades to come. British Conservatives and all right wing ideologues who – in collusion with the mainstream media – spend most of their time demonising refugees and the trans community. The public discussion around minorities in Finland is base and inhumane. This right-wing Finnish government has been a hard dose of reality that has sprung many of us out of our comfort zones. The casual racism of the Finnish government has normalised terminology that should offend everyone. Disgraceful. The lack of a moral compass or compassion in world politics – who exactly are the good guys? I hope someone could point out who’s looking out for us all nowadays? Elon Musk and the destabilising of Twitter. He just couldn’t leave it alone could he? The unstoppable rise of AI. It’s a slow process (or maybe a fast one) that results in the death of a certain kind of creativity. Hearing that some people in the Music business are using AI to write press releases is a little sad. The Saudi exploitation of football. It doesn’t stop. How long till the whole of football is owned by Saudi Arabia? The Vinyl market becoming an expensive artefact for the wealthy. In typical Music Industry fashion, the vinyl format becomes revitalised only for the music industry to make the price prohibitive for most people. Own goals are rarely clearer.
Future To be a better me.
Happy holidays x

Hi there! Thank you, it is nice to know I can inspire others. As for the brush packs I do like Sephiroth brush pack on deviantart or gumroad. Tony Infantes has nice brush packs with his tutorials too, on gumroad as well.
Other answers under the line
Tumblr media
For the brush I am using for the lineart I am sorry but I remember that I paid for it and not where it comes from... I lost some files a while ago when I changed computer so I do not remember where it comes from. You do have some really good packs like answered above. I also like Hattersart’s brushes, and if you have some other well known online artists you like, they probably have brush packs somewhere.
Tumblr media
Hahahahaha, thanks! ;D I hope you do not loose your mind too much tho!
Tumblr media
And thank you for this nice message!
Tumblr media
I got emotional damage from my own art and other CR fan artists out there. The latest episodes were wild and emotionally angsty. Thank you for the compliments too! this is the kind of message that motivates me to keep posting art online.
Tumblr media
Hey there! Studying films and tv-shows you like is a good way to learn about composition. I am speaking about really beautiful visual styles like Wess Anderson, Tarantino, Del Toro, Dupontel to name a few I personally like.
Some animated shows are also amazingly beautiful and have a great photography, like Arcane.
You should also look into the theory behind film photography too. Composition lines, vocabulary too because this will hep you find better references for what you have in mind!
Hope this helps.
Tumblr media
Hey there! Thank you! I loved that movie a lot too! The dynamite dude was played by Jean reno in the French version and he was a blast!
Tumblr media
Thank you!!

Hey, look! It's the Buddy for November 26th. I was going to post something I made on inkscape but I guess I forgot to save it something.
Talk about big eyes! I like a lot of manga, from early artists like Osamu Tezuka and Mitsuteru Yokoyama to modern artists like Yoshihiro Togashi and Hirohiko Araki. A lot of of critics say manga is all about characters with "giant eyes", and even though they're not wrong (there are exceptions where characters' eyes are rather small), I like how different artists can develop an unique style by changing the shape and proportions of the eyes.
Another artist I enjoy is Hayao Miyazaki. More famous as a director now, I know. He managed to develop an unique type of film presentation. I read someone on tumblr (don't remember the source, sorry) talking about how a lot of movies try to imitate the "Ghibli look" but don't add the humanist and politically charged messages Miyazaki movies do. i.e., they confused a style with just an aesthetic.
And I think a similar thing happened to another director, Quentin Tarantino - a guy who's seemingly on the opposite end of the spectrum in terms of style. When I was a kid I read some crappy lad's mag article about movies for "real men" or some edgy nonsense like that, and the top four movies on the list were Tarantino movies. and of course, being a little idiot, I believed it well enough to praise those movies even though I hadn't seen them. For a good time there, my favorite movie was From Dusk Til Dawn, which I saw as the ultimate movie for being a crime drama that turns into a horror comedy - like Goodfellas meeting Evil Dead.
And, yeah, those movies are fun enough, and it's not like I dislike either Tarantino or Robert Rodriguez now. But it seems like a lot of imitators (and there are a lot of them) don't realize is that Tarantino movies aren't just a celebration of masculinity, but a study of pop culture and the unpleasant way it would react with reality. Yeah, a guy might be a badass, but he also might get shot in the toilet. People might think a serial killer's cool and edgy, but he'll start crying and begging once one of his victims turns the tables on him.
I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of his, and it's not like there's much point to following up now that he's retiring after this next movie, but I think he's a director with interesting stuff to say, not just a clichè factory printing out badass characters.
... I was talking about eyes, right?
