#making a post about it because i've reached rito village and i find it SO FUNNY how no one mentioned that the two most prominent rito women #(saki and amali) talk like they're being oppressed. saki is like 'my husband is teaching my toddler how to be a warrior even though i dont #want him to become one and also he's gone on some murderous revenge rampage that will likely get him killed and leave me a single mom. #could u help.' and it's like. girl im not sure ANYONE can help you now. leave him. meanwhile amali is juggling 5 kids while kass is off #doing... what /is/ he doing? fulfilling his teacher's wish? smtg like that? anyway they should both leave. it's not worth it. #freya talks loz #it's so funny. literally all i've ever heard about botw's rito is that they're warriors so i walked in assuming that meant everyone #and also the very many fanfics/art/comics talking about how teba would feel conflicted about leaving medoh to link because he's so young #like sorry babes i know he's hot but teba does /not/ feel conflicted about rearing child soldiers. he's creating one in his own house. #maybe he's different after the vah medoh quest or in totk but the whiplash of expecting that and warrior rito women and realising that's #not how it is at all is SO FUNNY. #rito women need to fly south to meet the town filled with hot muscular women to teach them about feminism. and bisexuality #i think i've met harth's wife too but i dont recall either her or him saying much about each other.

I played botw and there were details that i liked a lot. They are very small and kinda obvious but I find it very nice that they were in the game. It is very cool how the characters’ personalities fit in as a part of the gameplay. I liked how Yunobo who is a pushover kind of guy, actually asks Link what to do and you have to choose how to give him the signal to move and Yunobo follows you to Va Rudania. Sidon is energetic and believes and trusts in Link so Link is riding on him and Sidon immediately rushes to the water streams below Va Ruta. Teba is not so trusting toward Link and he doesn’t know him well so he flies in the distance and Link is on his own there (at least that’s how it was when I played that part with Va Medo. I remember that even the lasers were targeting me instead of Teba a lot of times). And Riju is my favorite. When I entered Gerudo town and interacted with npcs it was implied that Riju is really caring and she looks out for others’ well-being a lot. When you come with her in a quest to reach Va Naboris, before going Riju asks Link to leave if he gets injured because she doesn’t want him to die. And when you start the chase after Va Naboris (via sand seals), if Link gets hit by lightning, Riju immediately stops and waits (even if Naboris goes further and further away). And she wont move until you start moving forward again. And after you beat the Thunder Blight and return, if you speak to the guard before returning to Riju, she says something similar to “You should go to her quickly, she is worried and wants to know if you’re still alive”

There are other details as well. I learned that va Medo doesnt always stand still and it flies around the Rito Village occasionally. And knowing that it was piloted by Revali it kind of makes sense.

#bwark #totk lb #i just beat it + did all the cutscenes after #really fucking good and a massive step up from botw #the boss actually requires some thinking rather than just attacking jt #i was gonna say that my only complaint is that tulin gets the great eagle bow but you know what? i'm okay with that #i like tulin and while he's still no revali for me i still think he deserves it #though that could be subject to change if there's anymore content with him #ACTUALLY my real complaint is that they don't acknowledge that it's revali's bow outside of the compendium #tulin's just like ''wow dad you're giving me this bow that means so much to you 🥺'' like SORRY i do not care about what the bow means #to teba. look's like my only revali crumbs from this game are gonna be revali's landing and the great eagle bow compendium 😔 #also side note that i liked: the wind temple theme uses parts of the attack on vah medoh theme #also forgot to mention that the dungeon is still rather simple compared to past dungeons but i think i like these better?? #idk how to describe it but yeah #overall 9.8 out of 10 dungeon experience and the negative is just me being a bitchy revali stan LMAO

found this in the daruk tag (which is unfortunately extremely sparse) and i WOULD be mad but its actually hilarious to me how unequivocally incorrect this is like... setting aside any personal feelings about any of these characters every single person here besides revali was born into their role. even link but hes less of a nepo baby i guess bc we don’t really know his parents but come on its the whole point it’s why revali is such an asshole in the first place! everyone else is a leader of their community and comparable to royalty to their people (again, except link but his dad was also a knight). revali isnt inherently anyone special, he was chosen to be a champion because of his talent and nothing else. he is the ONLY champion that proves anyone can be a hero, everyone else reinforces that you must be born into it
