New Directions will be re-releasing Osamu Dazai’s books, No Longer Human and The Setting Sun, in October/November 2022. They will use the covers designed by Stefan Salter for the first editions of the books published in the 1960s, which feature art prints by Kiyoshi Saito.
I happen to own the first editions and they are two of of my favorite books design-wise. The cover art does such a great job representing their contents:

Credit: Sekino Jun'ichirō aka 関野 凖一郎 (Japan, 1914-1988). My Family, 1957, color woodcut on paper. I am a fan of this example of feline and canine representation in the work of this Japanese woodblock printer, one of the major postwar artists of the sosaku hanga. Thanks to @artcomplexmuseum for the tip.

MWW Artwork of the Day (2/25/23) Eiichi Kotozuka (Japanese, 1906-1981) Fireworks at Kamo River (c. 1952-58) Color woodblock print, 39.4 x 27 cm. Private Collection
A crowd of spectators marvel the large fireworks decorating the evening sky over Kamo River in Kyoto.  An explosion lights up the dark night sky, sending showers of red and yellow sparks falling. The bridge is crowded with viewers, and families stand on the shore at left to watch the summer display. A lovely scene with soft shading in the sky and shimmering reflections in the water below. Eiichi Kotozuka was a 20th-century Japanese commercial artist and woodblock printmaker. He was a prolific artist of the sosaku-hanga style. He was one of four artists who co-founded the print publishing company Koryokusha. He was noted for his prints of Japanese cultural traditions, flowers, landscapes, and wildlife.
