“Electro-bisento.” He said, and she hissed as if she felt the pain of his wound herself. “Wh-, I…,” her voice sounded lost, and he wasn’t sure why, “would you be able to dress it on your own?” She asked finally.

4. Which comment has had the most impact on your writing?

i don’t know if i’d say comments impact how i actually write? they obviously give me a boost to write more and sometimes when people ask me questions about future updates it sparks ideas i hadn’t even thought of. So i guess sometimes comments can give me little storyline inspo!

Cherry Trees 4 im getting there i swear

Beth gasps, body jolting at the sudden noise and fumbling with her phone when she nearly drops it, putting it back down on the night stand before heading straight for the front door.

She should probably call out, ask who it is, but she doesn’t need to. She knows. Almost feels like she conjured him with her thoughts. Opening the door half way, she slants her body behind it on instinct to hide from the cold outside and finds Rio standing on her doorstep in the rain.

He doesn’t say anything, and the second their eyes meet she’s struck by his whole demeanor. Something severe and - - hesitant about it.

“Are you alright?” Beth breathes, but he doesn’t answer. Staring back, dazed, like maybe he didn’t even hear her. “Rio?”

He’s still just looking at her with a pained expression, searching her face, struggling with some inner turmoil. Eyes slightly glazed over, hands shoved in to his hoodie pockets, the tiredness in his bones evident in the way he’s standing.

And when she focuses on the bruise near the ridge of his cheekbone, the nasty scrape on his forehead, the thin red cut just beneath his eyebrow, her heart aches to reach for him.

“Can I come in?” he asks, finally. Blinking away the misty rain sticking in little drops to his lashes.

“Oh, yeah, yes, of course,” Beth gestures him forward, quietly moves to the side and pulls the door wider, letting him walk past. After she closes it, twists the latch, she turns back around to face him and the drastic change in the way Rio’s looking at her now is how she’s instantly reminded she’s in nothing but a short towel.

5. TV show of the year?

Not sure if this refers to my favourite show that aired this year or just that I watched this year 🤔

If it's a show that aired this year, I really liked Alaska Daily!! It was really interesting and I liked getting to see a show that wasn't set in New York or LA like most American shows :)

Otherwise, I'd probably have to go with The Get Down. I wasn't sure it was going to be my kind of show but I ended up completely obsessed with it! It was so good!

I'm still upset that both shows got cancelled too soon, it really is unfair 😔

1. What part of the writing process is the most enjoyable?

The daydreaming!!! 💭 Cause y’know... It’s the easiest part! Plus it’s like, I can imagine 30 different versions of a scene almost in the bat of an eye and I get to decide which one(s) I’ll eventually write! Or not! There’s such a feeling of unbound freedom attached to this stage that you don’t necessarily have once you’ve started writing because consistency!! Also that’s when I get inspiration nuggets!! The feeling of power when you’ve just thought of a subplot that’s gonna mess up with everything... 😈

7. What do you love most about being a fic writer for your fandom?

Well, for GG I guess it’s the fact that everyone was so chill and supportive that it gave me the confidence to try my hands at writing and grow as a fic writer and explore what I liked and the skills I wanted to refine... And I love that this fandom gave me the opportunity to go through all the stages of self-confidence re writing, from feeling super tentative to being anxious for attention and then anxious for ignorance, from feeling compelled to write for a certain audience to not giving a shit anymore and just enjoying what makes me happy. I’m not sure I would ever have felt confident enough to then write for a non-existent fandom if I hadn’t had that experience before. Oh, and I love that even though I barely post anymore in this fandom, whenever I happen to do so, people are still there to give love and support, and I really love this sense of community that I have with this fandom ❤️

For HPI, I love that I kinda started this fandom lol! And I love that now there’s like, this small crowd of readers who follow my stories and give me some of the most incredible feedback I’ve ever received. And I love that I get to write in French! And that there is so much to explore writing-wise! And I love that there’s this whole lil community that built itself organically, and I love being a part of it! ❤️

Okay, since it’s you, have this sneek peak of Champagne Room 😘

They've been ten minutes or so in this mockshow of foreplays — and by then Elizabeth's breathing has quickened, her cheeks reddened, and his body fucking responded cause there's only so many times she can smash her tits at his face and expect him to remain impassible — when Gene decides to be a cunt again, probably to impress Mr. Bad Guy or some shit. The way Gene's got the mentality of a fucking puppy is genuinely baffling.

"Hey, man, are you going to fuck her or what?" he asks, his own hands roaming all around the dark-haired girl Rio's pretty sure goes under the stage name of Gloria who's kneeling in front of him, decidedly undoing his pants.

Elizabeth straightens a bit at this to look towards Gene with a disgusted expression, mimics a retch before she brings her lips close to Rio's ear. "Ew. Who even are those guys?"

Right? At least someone else gets it.

"How 'bout you do you and I do me?" Rio dryly shoots back.

Cause — gee, give a man some privacy for fuck's sake. Exhibition's never really been his jam to start with.

"This is not how it works," Gene chuckles, his eyes shining with horniness in a way that's fucking obscene at the sight of him and Elizabeth wrapped up together.

He... fuck, he gets it. He knows there is something mesmerizing about how hot they are together. Shit, he kept his eyes on that mirror for a reason. But that ain't enough of an argument to convince him to share that with the rest of the room.

"I thought there were no rules," he points out.

Under his palm, he senses Elizabeth tense at their exchange, although he can tell that she's tryna keep quiet, pretending to tease him as best as she can, pushing it as far as dragging her tongue along the edges of the wings drawn on his neck.

He swallows. This was fucking unnecessary.

honest to god there's not much to say bc i barely know what im looking at. but it's a lotta fun to watch

idk, what can i say. i like my men sweaty, passionate, emotional & far away from me

every world cup i'll watch a couple of games and think: huh, i actually like watching football. i enjoyed the dutch run in 2014 a lot lol. but then i'll forget about it

but this year i watched a lot more games bc i crashed somewhere w/ a tv for three weeks & i realized again how much i enjoyed watching those games. didn't just watch the dutch games this time either & i started to get a few favorite players here and there (looking at you, hakimi & mbappé) and then i googled them and turns out, they're all on the same team. so i thought i'd check out one of their games & see if i still enjoy watching football if it's not a world cup (?? very logic, much sense) & next thing i know, im planning my week around psg's games (shocking all my friends in the process bc they're like. football? you??? huh?????? and im like. yeah idk what happened either)

anyways first i was very excited about psg (i mean. it's a lot of fun to watch a team score 5+ goals a game) but now the cracks are starting to show, even to someone who knows so little, like me. and im seeing more criticisms of their management and decisions they've made and all of that. and im kinda sad about it bc im realizing that this team that got me so hooked on watching football is probably gonna fall apart soon & idk what to do when it does. like do i start watching the games from all teams they'll join? idk i really want my fave 3-5 players to be on the same team tbh. im a little scared all my enjoyment of football is gonna come crashing down when the team dissolves. but for now, im having a good time watching their games

i also gotta shout-out @riosgoodgirll bc she's like 35% responsible for my recent obsession at least & ive been shamelessly whining about the disaster that was their last game in her dms. thank u angel

long story short, idk what im looking at but i like the dramatics of it all. so much emotion, both on the pitch and in me, it's sexy. now please enlighten me, what do you (dis)like about football????

Hey! Of course, you may 👀

Soooo, 24 Hours was just something fun and not too serious I wanted to write. It takes place sometime after Annie has Ben but before Beth has Kenny and she and Dean are living in that small, horrible apartment they reference in the show.

One day Beth realises she has absolutely nothing to do and she's home alone so she decides to go out and do something for herself that isn't part of her usual routine (not that she knows what that something will be exactly) and during her first stop of the day, she quite literally bumps into Rio. In this story, this is the first time they've ever met.

This moment leads to them talking/interacting and certain details lead to him suggesting they grab breakfast together. The bulk of the story is the result of that initial meeting and how the two end up spending 24 (straight) hours together going to various places around Detroit — some planned, some not — as they gradually get to know each other.

The only thing that's really slowed down the writing is that I want to make sure there’s not too much insta-love and that Beth/Rio are in-character while at the same time, not obsessing over these things too much as I write because it really is supposed to be a fun fic (for me to write at least).

(That being said, the plan does have them being their very-dramatic, not-necessarily-great-at-communication selves here and there).

Just because I can, have a little excerpt 👀:

Beth hisses, sharply withdrawing her hand, the compact and lipstick dropping back to the ground. [Rio's] hand flattens down over the tube to stop it from rolling away and he tosses it into her bag before reaching for her hand, turning it over in his so he can examine the cut. With her free hand, Beth reaches into her bag to pull out a packet of tissues. She removes a couple from it, wrapping them around her finger. 

“I need to clean this up,” she says, closing her hand into a fist, pressing the tissue tightly against the cut, 

It takes Rio a moment to realise she means the compact and he laughs. “Just leave it.”

“I’m not leaving it all over the ground.” 

At that, he rolls his eyes but with the sleeve of his hoodie, he carefully gathers together as much of the broken mirror as he can. As she watches him try to collect all the pieces onto multiple layers of tissues, she realises it is stupid but he’s done before she knows it and then he’s standing, carefully holding the broken compact and the bits of broken mirror in his hand. 

With his free hand, he reaches down. She gathers up her bag and hooks it onto her arm before she leans on his hand for support as she stands up. 

“You had breakfast yet?”

Beth’s eyes falter a little on the red seeping through the tissue as she shakes her head.

i love that i've had the same dream house for years, just makes it more clear that's the house i eventually wanna buy. i absolutely love the traditional norwegian houses, preferably white with a black roof. this is a great example:

late spring, when the temperature is perfect, not too warm and not too cold (22-23 degrees celcius is perfect, if it's higher it feels like i'm burning up in hell). i also love that we have a bunch of national holidays during spring. i love the cherry blossoms and the city always plants a lot of flowers which makes it absolutely stunning!

Oh, well, I don't know if I'll ever write this cause I'm nowhere near writing Brio fic atm, but I have this draft called European Butter which was supposed to be the next installment in the food series, where Beth and Rio, post canon, are all like oh we keep having casual sex and a professional partnership, how about we try and go on a date like normal people since it looks a lot like we're in a relationship, except that it's a complete nightmare of cringe and awkwardness, obviously, and I had this planned-ish ending where they have angsty sex, and make up, and decide the don't need to "label it", but now that I'm thinking about it, angsty sex is boring, I've written that far too often already, so how about they smash stuff instead? 👀👀👀
