sukiyanen drama is good btw. i like how it has a realistic “adults navigating realistic relationships” vibe (albeit still in the kind of schmaltzy cartoony way you tend to get from bl) like the part where not-ace realizes that he and his crush have very different interests and is like ah man. and it’s nice to see a bl protag who shows up from the start like “hi i’m gay” and also has a supportive straight friend to vent his boy problems to? more supportive straight friends in bl please! the supporting female character is great too. and of course special shout-out to okuno sou absolutely killing it as the insane slutty ex, i need him to be in about 50 more of those roles now

mostly it’s just fun to watch kan hideyoshi finally being in a bl after spending half the geats cast interviews going “i wanna be in a bl”. you can tell he is having so much fun just through his performance

#the show’s main flaw is that the love interest is just not very charismatic but i don’t mind too much #the writing and kan’s performance are the real star of the show

PFFT this is funny considering the Sou Okuno-san pffft. But yeah, the narrative would have us believe that Sougo is really skinny.

Oh, exactly. Okuno Sou is fit as hell, but that's not appropriate to Tokiwa Sougo the character, who is an awkward little weirdo who wears oversized shirts to conceal the fact that he has no abs. It's like how Sano Gaku is 5'7" and muscular but sort of slim, but spiritually and narratively I feel like Kazuraba Kouta really ought to be 5'4" and built like a brick shithouse, because that body type is underrepresented in Rider and I think it'd be cute for him. He has short guy energy, in that he feels like his center of gravity is really low and so he's hard to knock over. And Sougo has scrawny boy energy.

eh shu watanabe has abs and so is sou okuno and rio komiya and all three are working actors XD (eiji, sougo, and juuru from kiramagers)

yeah but that doesn't mean they didn't spend hours on it. we've heard it from hollywood actors right? working out and eating chicken breasts. being actors /and/ having abs might their time management heh. or at least... is skinny enough for the muscles to show? idk idk

so first, I discover Shun Nishime - Takeru Tenkuuji - as Makoto Naegi in the DanganRonpa stage play.

Next was Ryosuke Yamamoto - Makoto Fukami - as Takeshi Yamamoto in the Katekyo Hitman Reborn stage plays

Now I find that both Ryouta Murai and Kai Shouma - Yuusuke Onodera and Parado respectively - were double casted as Light Yagami in the Death Note the Musical during the 2020 Japan tour?

Who's next? Sougo Tokiwa - Sou Okuno - cast as Satoshi in a Pokemon stage play?
