BAM BAM pictured below, was a seattle-based grunge band founded around 1983. Their sound was very unique compared to other rock bands at the time and they are currently and slowly being recognized as being one of the earliest, if not the first, grunge band(s). Tina Bell, the frontwoman of the band, often experienced racism/sexism while performing and many people feel the band didn't gain mainstream fame due to Tina Bell being the lead singer.

So once you’ve seen the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, Woodland Park Zoo, the Seattle Aquarium, and, if you’re one of the cool people, the Fremont Troll, and are looking for less widely advertised places to visit in Seattle, find out if this place is currently available to the public. I say ‘currently’ because it’s been an age and a half since I’ve been there (like, over 20 years), and while I know it’s still standing, there is some online debate over the public accessibility. The official government site, of course, does nothing to clear it up, because why would it be that useful?

At any rate, whether you’re a fan of the local band whose name was inspired by this place or not, it is a super awesome place to go.
