One thing the North Node in Aries and South Node in Libra has been getting me to see is “boundaries” aren’t really about how many people you can shut out, or how quick you can be to shut someone out at the first sign that they could maybe be problematic. I’ve lost out on many opportunities to learn from people and to receive love or support, doing this in my past.

No, healthy boundaries are something you have to be willing to work on within relating. By all means, if someone clearly purposely screws you over, turn your back on them and never look back. But if you’ve been taken advantage of a lot in the past, you might be prone to seeing potential toxicity someone will bring into your world, where it doesn’t actually exist.

I’ve learned that pushing away people before even actually learning what they’re about is not a flex. Also I’m no longer worried about being open to someone who turns out to have tendencies I can’t be around. Because I’m now confident that I can utilize boundaries other than just never letting anyone into my world in the first place. (And I had to be willing to be open to interacting with more people again to even be able to practice this.)

What a lesson truly synthesizing Aries and Libra. My boundaries these days are starting to feel so much more productive for me and I’m grateful. 🙏

Solar eclipse (April 30) 10 degree

The Taurus eclipse is calling for us to pause. This is a theme of mindfulness. Taurus energy isn’t lazy. It’s stable. It’s present. It’s steady. It’s moving away from lackadaisical decisions. This energy will highlight our decisions we’ve made and how they’ve impacted us so far. No more quick decision making. Thinking before we move forward. Looking at the house Taurus is in for you in your personal chart will tell you where you specifically what area in your life where you need to become more mindful of. Mindfulness. This being at the 10th degree, it will highlight our financial stability. Do you see yourself working how you’re currently long term? Do you feel as if you’re settling at your workplace? Are you second guessing your work life? Do you feel like you’re worth more elsewhere? Do you feel overqualified at your current position? This is a time to stop. Stop rationalizing and thinking of a place of “this is what pays the bills”. Create a plan to move on to an even more stable career field. Stability beyond finances.

Lunar eclipse (May 16) 25 degree

The Scorpio eclipse is calling for us to take a step forward with our emotions. The emotions we’ve been avoiding and sweeping under the rug. As a collective, we may feel more vulnerable. There may be confrontation coming from people you have never expected. The encounters may feel slightly aggressive but necessary. There is a lot of baggage we need to face. If you don’t have a clue of what it is, it may come to light during this time. Very serious decision making is coming during this time. If there is something on your heart you feel you need to release, this may be a time you feel very motivated to do just that. Release. With Scorpio in the south node, we may have suppressed a lot of our instincts. And in fact, a lot of us haven’t even realized it. We may have gotten comfortable letting things happen. On the Nodes and Eclipses:

The Nodes of Luna are the digital, calculated points at which the path of the moon crosses over the Ecliptic, the path of the sun. These points are important because they're where the eclipses happen, because the paths cross.

All planets have their own nodes, where -astronomical transits- occur, distinct from our more typical transits. The Lunar Nodes are the most important, because the moon is the most important astrological object besides maybe the sun, and it's also the only thing that can fully occlude the light of Solis in the daytime. The Lunar Nodes also transit, by our meaning, in near-permanent retrograde motion like the Vernal Point through the Sidereal Zodiac, they travel backwards relative to the lights, tracking through the last to the first degree of Cancer, then Gemini, then Taurus, etc all the way back to Leo. As they take ~18 months to transit a sign, and as Solis tracks through 1° in about a single day, a mathematically perfect nodal transit sees six eclipses across each sign axis, both a Solar and a Lunar in each 10° Decan.

I feel called to talk about this because I'm feeling quite NN in Virgo 5 about using this platform, and about being a practicing astrologer lately.

On the Significations of the Eclipses

The Eclipses are important in astrology because they're these moments when the light is stolen away, and light carries a lot of really extremely important metaphysical and significations. For one thing, it's the engine of life, nothing can extract energy from anywhere so as to contest the tide of entropy except by the light of the sun; it's the engine of the weather, and the water cycle. The sun and moon in partnership serve as the gravitational engineers of the ocean's churning - without both of them there it's fair to argue life might never have evolved, and certainly our Earth would be far more stagnant.

The two things are also of a special class in astrology known as 'The Luminaries,' because they cast light brightly enough to illuminate objects on the surface of the Earth, unlike any other objects in the Universe. As a result, this particular light carries a connotation of knowledge, information, truth, wisdom, science and intelligence because without being able to gather information from the world, we could never discern facts about it, or come to understand our place in it.

Therefore, these events which steal away the light are considered to be extraordinarily malefic, and especially a maltreatment of Solis and Luna, as well as of Solar and Lunar concepts. Respectively this would be stuff like kings and leaders, agency, corporations and nations, predictions, identity and selfhood, self-definition, and the ego - for the sun; memory, sense of time, reflectivity, the body, considered analysis, self-image, self-critique, and the superego - for the moon. It is for this reason you might have heard advice against performing magic on an eclipse, it's a bit like standing out in a field during a thunderstorm, it's asking for trouble - for unpredictable consequences which carry no regard for your wellbeing.

Eclipses aren't always subjectively bad, although they do tend to bring poor sleep and nightmares when they hit your Asc or your natal lights, but they're not to be trifled with, and they're not for undergoing new pursuits. They can bring with them sudden and extreme changes of fortune, often for the better, but in retrospect it'll always be something that was already long in the making being brought to light and resolved swiftly, rather than things which truly come out of left field.

The North Node/Rahu ☊

The North Node in particular is where Luna crosses over into the northern celestial hemisphere "above" the ecliptic, which I put in quotes because north and south mean a lot less in space, but it corresponds to the Earthly northern hemisphere, and it's the ancient parlance. As such, this crossing point is associated with increase, amplification, saturation, intensity, desire, attraction, accolades, status, accreditation, and audience - however, it carries also these connotations of instability and unearned dignity, or at the very least, it's irreconcilable imposter syndrome and performance anxiety. It plays out the embodied metaphysics of the material world prevailing over and conquering the ideal plane, with all the topheavy brittleness that implies.

In Indian Astrology, which I'll warn is not my forte, the NN is called instead by the name Rahu, which is associated with the image of a dragon's head, severed from it's body. This head tracks, full of purpose after an infinite, insatiable desire which pulls it forward to consume endlessly without respite or reprieve, itself lacking the body necessary to internalize and process that which is consumed.

Some people will tell you the NN can be utilized towards benefic aims, and while it's not exactly untrue, it's also something that can't inherently support itself. NN events and people are often marked by rapid, unsustainable acceleration to prominence, and then immediate, ruthless collapse back into obscurity, like being a one hit wonder - which isn't to say you're doomed if you are a Rahuvian person, just that it's not the kind of energy to be wielded recklessly, like the eclipses, it prefers to accelerate that which is already in-progress and well-founded.

The South Node/Ketu ☋

The South Node on the other hand is, predictably, where the moon crosses back "under" the ecliptic, and it carries with it connotations of primordial preternatural foreknowledge, systemic comprehensive awareness, transpersonal understanding, release, dissemination, disencumberence, transcendence and timelessness - however, it carries with it also a supreme distaste, dissatisfaction, discomfort, and disdain for the topics at hand in the fashion they are institutionally executed upon on Earth, being unavoidably conscious of the existent inefficiencies and energy loss within the system. The material becoming once again subsumed within the ideal.

In Indian Astrology, this is Ketu, the body and tail of the dragon, separated from its head and processing the waste from others' cumulative consumption - wanting for nothing in and of itself, but nonetheless obligated to balance the celestial checkbook.

The subjective experience of Ketu to me is very reminiscent of the Cassandra myth, of having all the answers in a given situation and being truly incapable of convincing anybody because, to paraphrase Upton Sinclair, "there is no more impossible task than convincing a person of that which their access to power demands they misunderstand." Like weightless photons, you can traverse above petty materiality and can't help but witness all the mass being collected fruitlessly, only to dissolve once again into formless light, straining in vain to collect itself against the infinite tides of entropy.

Total Lunar Eclipse & Scorpio Full Moon

Never before have I felt so grounded and plugged into the world at large. This is the gift astrology has given me. To look into the dusk of early twilight or the blue hazed breaking of dawn and know which planets greet me in the cosmos above has been beyond centering.

The total Lunar Eclipse happening this Sunday, May 15th. At 10:30pm you will begin to see the Full Moon being cut away, with totality happening an hour later, around 11:30pm. I know I’m crossing my fingers for clear skies that night! It’s not often that a total Lunar Eclipse happens during a night sky AND is visible from our area.

This lunation is going to be a strong one. This eclipse is taking place on the South Node, under a Scorpio Full Moon. The North and South nodes are two cosmic points where the moon’s orbit intersects the sun’s ecliptic (see this AstroWiki article for a great diagram). We’ll keep seeing eclipses on the Taurus/Scorpio axis until July 2023, with the next set taking place this Fall.

About the Nodes

The South Node represents what comes easy to us, where we’re naturally attuned, what we gravitate towards. It can also clue us into what we need to shed, or lessen our grip on. In contrast, the North Node is what we’re reaching for, the lesson we’re here to learn, what we’re hungry for.

With the South Node in Scorpio, we’re being asked to do a deep purging within the area of our chart that it rules. Scorpio does not shy away from shadow, it dives inside and destabilizes from within. The other day I was discussing the Scorpio Full Moon with a friend, and I feel he summed up the essence of Scorpionic energy wonderfully,

“Calm yet firm.. and dangerous yet committed and pursuant. A master of the senses and a survivor of the intense. Intuitive, passionate, aggressive and defensive... willing to give bliss in exchange for the experience of surrendering to the point of almost vulnerability.”

So, what better way to honor this Mars ruled Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse than to burn some shit?

Scorpio Full Moon Fire Ritual

I will openly admit, there is nothing special about this ritual. Intention burning rituals are very common, but that doesn’t discredit their power. The basics are this: cast a flame, write down on a paper what you wish to let go of (we’re scrubbing the South Node after all), and feed it to the fire.

You can intensify this ritual by building a bonfire instead of using a candle or match flame. Additionally you can add an herbal mixture to the fire as well, both energetically charging the space and cleansing the ashes.

Of course, I feel like this goes without saying but make sure to use common sense and practice fire safety! No need to burn your whole house down lol

This is a huge event for libra placements. Around this time, you can be ending an old version of yourself. Major potential for a glow up. You may feel more tired too. South node has been in your first house since July 17 2023 (and will stay here until Jan 28, 2025). This emphasizes the need to take a step back from your old identity. When this occurs, mercury will be in retro in aries and chiron, venus + north node will be in aries. This really makes April the relationship month (platonic, romantic or business).

For some of you, you’ll definitely be finding long term romantic relationships. They may have even begun in February with all that spontaneous, romantic energy. For others, it is friendships or business.

This can be a new relationship beginning that leads to marriage and helps heal your natal chiron (your deepest wound). But it would be nonsense to think that happens for everyone. Especially with mercury in retrograde. For some, this is an ex friend or lover, you or they may reach out for closure. And unfortunately for some, this can be entering a relationship that turns sour later.

April 20 - Jupiter + Uranus conjunct in Taurus

This is in the 8th house for you. I hate to say it but Jupiter (expansion) in 8th (other’s resources) can be an inheritance transit. However, this doesn’t mean someone who loves you will die. The lunar nodes are the one thing where I may feel a little closer to resonating with what Vedic astrology has to say about them. I’m still in the process of figuring out exactly how I view them (and like with everything in astrology/life, that process is ceaseless!😊).

But I will say that many popular views in Western astrology sound way too hyped up over the North Node being YOUR ULTIMATE PURPOSE 🎊🥳… and even much more so, I can NOT personally relate to my South Node being a “skill” I’ve already mastered and/or something that I should just not focus on in this life (then again I also have 2 personal planets in the same sign/house as my SN).

At the end of the day, I think I see both Nodes as comfort zones of differing sorts. They’re both lunar points after all! But western astrology just likes to make it sound like your South Node is your comfort zone that should be avoided if you want to grow, while your North Node is the opposite of a comfort zone, but omfg you need to go there!! 🙄😂

I’m not sure about how many others feel, but I know I feel like my South Node is somewhat of an unchosen comfort zone, while my North Node is chosen, and a comfort zone of sorts because it gives me hope.

I hate when I see myself slipping into South Node patterns that don’t work out for me, but it can be very hard to avoid, particularly if under a lot of stress.

My North Node is something I consciously choose because it feels refreshing and hopeful. That’s not to say that Western interpretations mean nothing for me when they say we will have to actually push ourselves to follow the North Node, because it’s true that some parts of the territory can feel intimidating to me. But it’s usually like a good kind of intimidating. It can actually be *comforting* dare I say, when I engage in things that make me feel hopeful for my future.

Also, it’s probably possible to go too far with either Node, which perhaps is why Vedic sees them both as malefics!

Case in point: Donald Trump. He has his North Node in ♊️ (communication of information) 10th house (his personal legacy) conjunct his ☀️(ego) and Uranus (revolution).

I think the lunar nodes help us to form maps of our emotional pasts and futures, but at times our most divine purpose is simply being in the present. ❤️

Energy Update: March 2024

March is a "2" Universal Month [3 (March) + 8 (2024) = 11 = 1+1 =2] in an "8" Universal Year. 2-months are associated with building connections and the beginning of a path forward. They are often also associated with breakthroughs - this is very in line with the astrology of March which is highlighted by an intense once-in-a-decade conjunction between Chiron and the North Node, and the beginning of Eclipse Season.

The Set Up

We begin the month with the Sun and Mercury in Pisces, Venus Mars and Pluto in Aquarius, Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus, and Neptune in Pisces. Note here the cluster of planets from the sign of Aquarius to the sign of Taurus (with Chiron and the North Node in the otherwise unoccupied sign of Aries in the middle of this cluster). This shows that we have a lot of work, individually and as a society, to do in the areas represented by the last two (Aquarius/Pisces) and first two (Aries/Taurus) signs in the zodiac. The times are changing (Pluto just shifted signs back at the end of January) and there may be some adjustments that need to be made.

By month's end, the Sun and Mercury will have moved on into Aries, and Venus and Mars will have moved into Pisces. Note here that both Venus and Mars are lagging behind the Sun which puts relationships somewhat in the rearview mirror.

The Nitty Gritty

All eyes are on the lunar nodes which will finish off their transit of Aries and Libra at the end of this year.

For those that need a primer, the North and South Nodes of the Moon are not physical objects in the sky but rather mathematical points in which the Sun, Moon, and Earth have the potential to line up with one another to create the solar and lunar eclipses. Both of these two points carry a certain weight to them and are best likened linguistically to the idea of "fate". The North Node is considered to be forward-facing fate, that which is yet to come, and the South Node is considered to control the fate of what has already happened. They always occur as a pair with one another, each occupying one-half of opposing signs in the horoscope wheel. As our North Node (forward-facing fate) is in Aries and our South Node (past fate) is in Libra, we are all being encouraged to think more independently (Aries) and to move away from group think and other forms of codependency (Libra).

This cycle is going to be highlighted all month long and beyond as all of our personal planets enter the sign of Aries and work toward their inevitable conjunction with our North Node. This month Mercury and Chiron will conjunct the North Node, in April the Sun and Venus will conjunct the North Node, and, in May, Mars will conjunct the North Node. This is it - the time to decide. We may be forced in the months ahead to make choices to better our own lives BEFORE the choices are made for us. If you want to be in control of your own fate, the time to act and set intentions is early in March BEFORE eclipse season. Once eclipse season has arrived, all bets are off.

As I have stated many times, the first of the month tends to set the stage for the energy of the month ahead as a whole and 3/1 does not disappoint with our Sun in Pisces sextile with Jupiter in Taurus (good vibes all around there) and Venus in Aquarius sextile to both the North Node and Chiron in Aries. Note here: the North Node and Chiron will be conjunct to one another within a degree for THE ENTIRE MONTH OF MARCH - this shows that although there is a way forward, it might be a painful one. This is pretty in line with some of the relationship ick we might have left from a very poorly aligned month in February and the general feeling that Pluto, newly in Aquarius, is bringing to the table.

If Change Before You Have To is the name of the game, we've passed into the Have To part of the playoffs.

There is definitely a way forward during this time, but you absolutely will not be able to bring all of your baggage with you.

Put that shit down, if you can.

The first weekend of March may prove volatile as both Mercury and Venus play with Uranus in Taurus through a supportive sextile for the former and a tougher square for the latter. Uranian energy can feel fairly similar to lunar nodal/eclipse energy as it tends to feel larger than life and unavoidable. It carries much of the same energy as the Tower card in the tarot or the Hagalaz rune. Keep your eyes wide open and try to practice radical acceptance of what is coming up for you in your life. Keep an eye on this energy as it is going to show up big in Taurus season two months from now.

On Monday, 3/5, we experience our exact conjunction between our Asteroid Chiron and the North Node at 16° Aries. Chiron, often known as the wounded healer, tends to represent the pain point of an old wound. In Sign #1 Aries, this wound is centered around how we have all been forced to abandon our uniqueness and individuality to fit in with the pack. The North Node is highlighting the need to be who YOU really are - not who society has told you to be, not who your parents have told you to be, not who your partner would like you to be. If you have trauma around conforming - either wanting to and not being able to or being forced to when it wasn't in your nature, this is the transit to watch out for this month. The combination of North Node and Chiron energy can be extremely healing but it's going to take some work and dedication to see through the muck to the other side. It is worth the reminder here that the secret to Chiron moments in life is to lean INTO the pain rather than away from it.

The next day, Mars in Aquarius sextiles both of these two major stress points in the skies. I think that this may open up some avenues of reconciliation between couples that may be on the outs after a rough February (romance-wise). This is a cosmic reminder to let your partner be who they really are, or leave. (Quite frankly.) With such a heavy influence on the individual over the couple (Aries North Node), there's going to be a lot of impetus to just go it alone. And that's not a bad decision right now if we're being honest.

Better alone than with somebody who keeps you small, that's a lesson of the North Node in Aries FOR SURE.

The second weekend in March is even more volatile and Uranian than the first with our Sun in Pisces sextile to Uranus in Taurus and Mars in Aquarius in direct square. This is RED FLAGS weather. Any Mars-Uranus transits are and the square is by far the worst of them. Lie low, stay out of the fire, and avoid explosives of all kinds if you can. Fate is heavily in play still and Uranus never holds its punches. It's the dark of the moon, as well, which tends to make the energy deep and murky.

Our new moon is on Sunday 3/10 at 20° Pisces and carries with it the energy of 6 and 7. It is also still sitting in the Uranian energy of the day beforehand. The unpredictability of Uranian energy and the darkness of the unconscious 12th house may be on full display here so expect some immature/shadow behaviors to rise to the surface. Check yourself before you wreck yourself. In its mature form, Piscean energy can be the most selfless of the entire horoscope - tap into that if you can. Watch out for selfishness and avoidant behavior of all kinds. Though it is a wide conjunction, this will bring some of the energy of Neptune in late Pisces into play. Great for a game of role-play, but not so great for honest discussions or accountability. This energy supports divination, dream work, and spirit communication, but little else. This is also the last major lunar event before our eclipses so the most sensitive among us will already be feeling it.

The energy will shift a bit as Mercury enters Aries and Venus enters Pisces but we'll still have the same general energies in play, so it may go unnoticed amongst the angst. We're drawing close to the Spring Equinox and the start of Aries season which will include two eclipses so the energy may seem to build every day leading up to the 19th. If you are feeling the anxiety of "something about to happen", know that you are right on time.

It's going to happen in a flash. On 3/18, Mercury enters its pre-retrograde shadow at 15° Aries. On 3/19, the Sun enters Aries, and Mercury conjuncts the North Node. On 3/20, Mercury conjuncts Chiron.

Though Chiron and the North Node no longer share the same degree, they are still in close conjunction with each other and Mercury is like the cherry on top of this powerhouse stellium. If you have a relationship that you want to save - this is the time to talk it out. But - AS STATED ABOVE - you gotta be willing to let the other person be who they need to be. And vice versa. That is the bare minimum right now.

For the rest of us, words may hurt during this time, but they might also be quite cathartic. This is a hard "Go" for all of your writers out there. What comes up now isn't going anywhere, we will have to experience these degrees of Aries multiple times during Mercury's retrograde cycle as Mercury moves back and forth between 15-27° Aries thrice. This can be a boon or a bane and some of that will likely be up to your perception (Mercury) of these events. This is wildcard energy and as we enter Aries season, the lunar nodes are ready to go.

Aries is our first sign of the zodiac and it is a moving/cardinal sign ruled by Mars, the planet of action. Expect the pace to pick up faster by the day the Sun sextiles Pluto and Venus conjuncts Saturn on 3/21, and Mars enters Pisces on 3/22. Our lunar eclipse on 3/25 at 05° Libra is a neon billboard already shining in the sky. We're in the event horizon.

To understand eclipses you must accept that you will never understand eclipses. They exist in a space that appears to exist a bit out of time and create a feeling of heightened liminality to the world. This is why many astrologers explain the energy of an eclipse as opening and closing the doors of fate. Some opportunities seem to materialize out of nowhere with eclipse energy whereas other things in your life might drift permanently away. The general rule of thumb is to trust eclipse energy as the Nodes of the Moon, in the natal chart, are supposed to show us our destiny/path.

I have found that not all eclipses create drastic change in my life, but eclipses that strongly aspect my natal chart are far more likely to. I will write more about this specific eclipse energy in its own post but it is THE transit of the month, for obvious reasons.

Note here that this is a full moon (lunar) eclipse so our moon in Libra is conjunct to the South Node in Libra and opposed to the Sun and North Node in Aries. This is a release/release eclipse energy that will highly augment any magic or rituals done to let go of things and move the fuck on.

It is time. Spring has sprung. The world is reborn anew for another growing year. April will be a "3" month. "3" is the number of creation. Let's get ready.

2024 Libra Full Moon/Eclipse

Monday, March 25, 07:00 UT, 5°07’ Libra Chart erected for Washington, DC

The key phrases for the Full lunar phase are “culminate, fulfill, illumine, manifest;” and “put all our efforts into our intentions.”

Really, there is just not too much going on with the eclipse itself, is there? Wide aspects to Pluto and Pallas Athene. Bit of a reach, I’d say.

So let’s look at the rulers. Venus (ruler of Libra) is in a very unpleasant sandwich between Saturn and the centaur Nessus. The phrase/taunt “throwing yourself a pity party” comes to mind. And, Steven Forrest (in The Book of Earth) wrote about “the drunken torpor and toxic stability of bad love” with a malfunctioning Venus/Pisces - “toxic” = Nessus and “stability” = Saturn. With the Moon and the South Node in Libra, this is a good time to purge that “toxic stability.”

Mars has just started its trip through Pisces. It isn’t making any close major aspects to anything (yet). There’s an exact semi-square to the Aries North Node, which shows how uncertain we are about what we’re “supoosed” to be doing - and how that uncertainty is very unpleasant. Patience! This is the perfect time for creative visualization.

SOLAR RETURN AND THE NODES !!!

Hey there, folks! So, I've been totally geeking out lately over Solar return charts and nodes. Why, you ask? Well, my birthday is just around the corner, and guess what? There's gonna be a super juicy moon eclipse in Libra that's gonna conjunct my natal moon, vertex, fortune, and even my South Node! Can you believe it? I'm beyond excited to see what this year has in store for me, especially because I've been riding solo for a solid five years now. Time for some big changes, baby!

This got me thinking about my previous Solar returns and how they've been tied to major life shifts. Here's the deal: when you dig into your Solar return for any given year, pay special attention to where those transit nodes are hanging out in your chart. They'll give you a clue about which direction your life might take. Let me give you an example. The year I packed up and moved to a foreign country, the North Node was kickin' it in Sagittarius, and guess what? I've got Sagittarius ruling my 9th house. No wonder I made that leap after the lunar eclipse! And get this, when I made that move from one city to another, the North Node was cozying up in Gemini, right in my 3rd house. Talk about a pattern, right?

I'm still learning about all this cosmic stuff, but I gotta say, it's absolutely fascinating. Have any of you made similar connections in your own lives? March 2024 Important Dates

AKA my notes on The Astrology Podcast's March Forecast.

February recap: The conjunction between Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Pluto in Aquarius conjunction has aligned with new tech developments. The Venus-Pluto conjunction heralded OpenAI's new text-to-video generator and the ensuing discussion on its potential political, labor, and artistic effects. Mercury was conjunct Mars and Venus trine Jupiter (with Virgo Moon completing a grand trine & involving the Saturn-Pisces opposition) the day Neuralink tried its first human subject. How will different parts of society react to further developments in cybernetics and body augmentation? Past occurrences of astrological alignments can help us make predictions. Advances in robotics during a major transit in the humanistic sign of Aquarius will challenge us to redefine what it means to be human. On February 10th, around the Mars-Pluto conjunction, a group of people set a self-driving delivery car on fire in San Francisco. These robo-taxis are likely going to increase when Jupiter enters Gemini, and indeed a few companies are poised to launch in other cities.

In other Pluto in Aquarius news, last episode Chris noted there's work in using X-rays to ancient scrolls from Herculaneum and Pompeii that can't be opened without incurring damage. On February 5th, the day of the Mercury-Pluto conjunction, the first images of one of these scrolls have been made available. This fits with Mercury-Pluto themes of lost or buried information coming to light. On the same day King Charles of England's cancer diagnosis was announced--an announcement of mortality. We also had the first privately-funded lunar vehicle landing. Pluto makes large thing imperceptibly small and makes microscopic things enormous.

In Saturn in Pisces news, in 2020 Chris predicted success for Miley Cyrus's Saturn return and indeed she won the Grammy. This also marks part 2 of the Dune movie--the book was written under Saturn in Pisces as well. Other influential sci-fi & fantasy stories were written under Saturn in Pisces like Lord of the Rings, and our hosts predict that a new classic will be born during this transit. In other Mars-Pluto news, we have ambiguous stories about nuclear weapons and Israel's announcement of storming Rafah. Unfortunately the upcoming eclipses (connected to 6 months ago) do not bode well for cessation of warfare. On February 15th, farmers in India have begun striking again, and doctors in South Korea walked out on the job to protest working conditions--Mars in Aquarius squaring Jupiter-Uranus in Taurus reactivates these ongoing labor disputes.

Our hosts recorded the forecast before the perfect Mercury-Saturn-Sun conjunction in Pisces hit on February 28th (the day I'm typing this!), which is one of the major influences over the first half of March. The other big influence is Mars-Venus in Aquarius. In the mutable, indeterminate sign of Pisces, Saturn doesn't bring us as much order as he did in the previous two signs of his domicile.

March 2nd/3rd - Venus square Uranus Venus in Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus--either a change is needed to bring us peace and pleasure, or something is disrupting our pleasure. Austin says either way, this placement prompts us for significant changes. Venus's is overcoming Uranus (earlier in the zodiac, has the upper hand), so we can make good use of this placement if we shake things up a little bit in relationships.

March 9th/10th - Mars square Uranus, Mercury enters Aries Mercury has entered the sign where he'll retrograde, stretching what would normally be a transit of a few weeks into 2 months. Mercury in Mars's sign amplifies the wishes of the red planet, who's doing some pretty interesting stuff. In a firey Mars-ruled sign, Mercury wants something practical to do. This clarity and decisiveness will be welcome after all the indecision of Pisces. However, the North Node is in Aries, with the power to obscure things even when it's not blocking the Sun's light. There will be an eclipse here in April, so the pathfinding is tricky. We'll definitely be doubling back as Mercury prepares to retrograde. Sometimes you need to dive into things while you have the vision, yet before you have the rationale. Austin likens it to clearing your way through thick jungle terrain to determine whether a route is viable--it's only by going forward that you find out that you're on the wrong path, and thus, where the right one is. Mercury retrogrades teach us to learn from our mistakes--third time's the charm!

Mars follows Venus's path, and along with Mercury, weighs heavily on the upcoming lunation. Mars-Uranus connotes surprise attacks, sudden severing, unexpected explosions. Internally this can make us feel restless and impulsive. Keywords: recklessness and action without planning. Think of a cigarette being dropped near an oil drum. Technology disruptions are also likely.

March 10th - Pisces New Moon

Saturn and Neptune are close by to this lunation, and though Mars-Uranus is weighing in, Mars in particular is ultimately reporting to Saturn's broader plan. As Neptune and Saturn approach their conjunction, we'll seek escapism and the imaginal as a respite for our fatigue. We need to step out from being immersed in these waters. Mercury conjoined Neptune on the 8th before he left Pisces, leaving the imprint of confused or empathic communications in the air as the lunar cycle resets for the month.

March 11th/12th - Venus enters Pisces From here she builds up to a conjunction with Saturn at 11° on the 21st. As the sign of her exaltation, she's better able to bring harmony and reconciliation in our relationships, though Saturn brings a cool distance to our relationships. She'll conjoin Neptune in this sign next month. We may also see some kind of artwork that resonates with people on a deep emotional level.

March 17th - Sun conjoins Neptune, Electional chart

At around 1PM local time, this chart has Cancer rising with a dignified Moon in Cancer, applying to a trine with Venus at 7Pisces and sextile with Jupiter in Taurus in the 11th house. This chart occurs before things go crazy later in the month and is the best time to start something new. It's especially good for friends, groups and alliances and doing new things outside of the box.

March 18th - Mercury enters shadow (not pictured) Mercury hits 15Aries, the point he'll retrograde back to, at the same time as he conjoins the North Node. This is a precursor of things that will occur in April.

March 19th/20th - Sun enters Aries This puts the Sun in the same time as the Node that will eclipse it.

March 21st - Venus conjoins Saturn Saturn and Venus bring a sort of melancholy beauty to things. Though we may see them at odds for signifying discipline and love respectively, Saturn does exalt in Venus's sign of Libra. In the sign of Pisces empathy is especially relevant--think understanding each other's feelings because we've suffered the same things. Nostalgia is another important keyword.

March 22nd - Mars enters Pisces This puts him on track to contact to Saturn (exact cojunction c. April 10th)--a dangerous combination. Along with the Sun in Aries and Mercury slowing, this represents the event horizon of major developments for the rest of the month and early April. This will be the first Mars-Saturn conjunction in Pisces; note the Aquarius conjunctions in 2020 and later years coincided with the COVID lockdown(s). Sea lane transit will likely slam on the brakes as well, and current maritime conflicts will see big developments. More figuratively we may ask "where are we going, and what dangers lie ahead?"

March 25th - Libra Lunar Eclipse

For about a week things have been building up to this eclipse. Its twin will be visible across much of the United States in early April, meanwhile a comet will start to be visible in the night sky. Mars in Pisces copresent Saturn weighs heavily on this eclipse. The pace of events starts moving quickly and chaotically around eclipse season, and things start to move rapidly up or down, especially for prominent people & companies. This eclipse represents a culmination or next chapter of events started in October--major beginnings and major endings (in the Libra house of your chart for individuals). The picture may begin to get clearer. It's not the last installment, but things are clearly underway. Unfortunately this does not bode well for ongoing global conflicts. We can't see clearly with the eclipse, meanwhile Mercury is slowing down about to station retrograde, while right on the North Node. Combined with dangerous Mars-Saturn, it's a bit of a crazy situation. Jupiter's approach to a conjunction with Uranus indicates some surprising, amazing wins, and some people will find unexpected good fortune once the smoke clears. However, not everyone will be able to count on winning the Jupiter lottery here. (Later in April, when Jupiter conjoins Uranus exactly we can expect some kind of freedom and liberation).

The two weeks between these eclipses will be very active, dramatic, and chaotic, with beginnings and endings galore. In the Indian astrology dasha timing technique, the US Sibly chart has been in a time period ruled by Rahu (north node) since the early 2010s, making any eclipses visible in that country especially important to it. This is a time to be flexible!
