You were infuriated. You cried, broke things, cursed, hell you even felt like throwing hands. All because of one boy.

Kyle Broflovski.

He was just, mesmerizing. His vibrant red curls make you want to cry, his beautiful eyes made you want to rip papers out from books, it was all so pretty. A bit too pretty for you.

He was way out of your league. He ruined your life. He made your stomach go crazy, he made it so hard to focus, he made your heart pound so hard it hurt.

He made you so happy it turns back to sad.

Every time you see him in the school hallway, you felt like crying. You’d feel as if you were surrounded by the flames of hell. Every time he looked at you, your eyes would get all watery and you’d look away, breathing deeply with a sick expression.

He always thought ‘is she okay? does she need help with something?’ He always thought he was the problem. And he was the problem. Yet there wasn’t a cure. You would be jealous if he was taken, but if he was single, and damn that hurt you even more. Your brain went through so many laps, you always felt like fainting.

What was worse, was that when he came up to you.

“Hey, are you alright?” He asked you, as you didn’t even make eye contact with you. You started to feel your heart pound, and it was so quick, it hurt. “Yeah! I’m perfectly fine, don’t w-!” Your words were caught up with your tears, you felt like you were choking, you couldn’t breathe. He noticed you were crying, and he started to panic. “Shit shit shit!” He cursed as he looked around, no one was around.

Why can’t you do this? Why can’t you just talk to him? He’s blaming himself now!

You would think, as he continued to panic. “Uhm- don’t cry!” You didn’t hear him, you felt your eyes roll back, falling down.

Just because he talked to you.

“i want to get back with wendy.” the boy who lays next to you says in a whisper tone as if he was to scared you would hear. being friends with stan since kindergarten implied you going to his house every friday night, being friends with stan since kindergarten meant that you had to listen to him complain about her, breaking up with her and then getting back with her. you felt bad for wendy because she’s the sweetest girl you have ever met but also you were jealous of her. why? because she was able to be with stan and to proudly say that she was dating stanley marsh, she was also able to kiss him and to hold his hand in public.

“you said that this time was definitely over.” he always said that and every time he did you believed him. god, how could you be so stupid? you thought to yourself… maybe because you were madly in love with him. the room went completely silent when you talked, he knew you were right but he felt the need to keep going back to her. you sat down on the bed, the teen with bleached hair looked up at you in confusion, you were already taking your stuff.

“where are you going?” he asked while sitting down next to you to grab your wrist tightly, he didn’t wanted you to leave but you were already loosening his grip to get out of the bed. he was selfish, he never asked you about how you felt and it was always about him and wendy, he didn’t even knew that you have been feeling like shit these past days because he never asked about you, about how you were feeling. you looked up at him, parting your lips slightly to talk but you felt this tight knot in your throat. your lips left a shaky sigh, shaking slightly your head while looking down to avoid his piercing gaze.

“it’s always about you and wendy, you and wendy this you and wendy that… when is it going to end, stanley?” you never call him stanley, he knew you were upset. but jesus, you needed to understand him! he was going through very difficult times, he sure was but… what about you? it seems like he doesn’t even cares about you. after putting on your jacket you looked up at stan one last time before leaving the obscure room who’s only source of light was the brightness of the moon peeking trough the window.

“i’m sorry… please don’t leave me, y/n.” he pleaded while getting up from his bed to walk towards you, wrapping his arms tightly around your shoulders so you wouldn’t take a step forward, you tried to get away from him but even if you tried you didn’t want to separate from his tight embrace. your mind and body wanted to pull away from him but your heart wanted something completely different and your feelings for him were stronger than what you wanted… that’s why you decided to stay.

it was an never ending cycle. you always ended up staying with him even if it felt like diving into a big pile of spines.

Kyle Broflovski stared out his window, a piece of pie, a cup of coffee, and books littering his desk. He felt sick, maybe it was the late-night meal kicking in, maybe it was the thought of you. This had been a common occurrence over the years, harboring feelings for you since the fourth grade. He thought you were absolutely breathtaking, intelligent, and caring. You were unlike anyone from South Park, resembling an angel sent down from heaven. He’s watched your past relationships, coming to the conclusion that he would never be the one for you. Kyle compared himself to your past partners, noticing every little difference between the two of them. Believing that you would never have eyes for him, why would you? You were the best person in the world, and he was just himself. Over the years Kyle tried to distract himself with his studies, his friends, and even other people. His attempts to pursue other relationships failed time and time again, never feeling the love he felt for you. You two are very close, hanging out constantly, having almost an identical schedule, and being in the same circle of friends. Trying to fall out of love with the person who has played a large part in his life seemed impossible. No matter how many times he has tried to distance himself, Kyle is always drawn to you. He’s struggled and prayed to God but never seemed to be in Heaven’s grace. Kyle longed to be loved just as he loves you, a beautiful and passionate love that seemed to rival even the strongest love.

Until that day arrived he continued to wish on stars, hoping that maybe you would one day be more than just friends. He wants to pretend that you could be lovers, dreaming that he could be yours. The two of you are young adults now, closer than ever before. Kyle has everlasting thoughts replaying in his mind, years of memories being evaluated, searching for clues that showed you could possibly return his feelings. Kyle was consumed by you, morning, afternoon, and night. You had a place in his heart that would forever be yours. The kindness he has received from you, he wasn’t lying when he thought you were like no other. You were always there for him, lending a shoulder to lean on during his toughest moments. Standing up for him when others were scared to, and being someone he could rely on through thick and thin. You were one of his dearest friends, not wanting to ruin the lifelong friendship you two have, he swallowed his feelings.

He didn’t want to risk losing you, even if you were to be only friends, he would accept that fate. However, he wondered if the two of you would ever be anything more. Exchanging songs with hidden meanings, late-night calls, and sunset views at Stark’s Pond. He looked for you in every aspect of life, finding your beauty in nature, in songs, in everything pure and light.

He wished to tell you how he felt—wanting nothing more than for you to feel the same. Kyle is someone who feels every single bit of his emotions. The thought of being rejected and potentially destroying what the two of you had made me feel sick. He vowed to never let that happen, he preferred a broken heart. For you he would do anything, placing your emotions and well-being above his. This wouldn’t be the first time he has dealt with this situation, it seemed that unrequited love is the one for him. Kyle shed a tear, he didn’t want to cry. He knows he has to be strong, Yet he understands that feelings can become overwhelming. Kyle wonders if you have ever felt the same as him, being in love with a person who doesn’t seem to love you back. He wonders if you have ever cried over those emotions, he hopes you never go through that experience.

You deserve to have someone love you with every ounce of their being, to have someone who would be there for you no matter what, someone who will appreciate you for everything you are. Kyle thought no matter how much he tries to fall out of you, the more he thinks about you, the deeper he falls. You take up all his mind, his being, and his heart. Kyle waits for the day his love for you ceases to exist, until then he’ll be lost in thoughts of you. Imagining a world, a timeline, and an alternate universe in which the two of you are more than friends. He is pretending that it’s a possibility. Until then, he’ll endure all the pain of heartache. Kyle will let you break his heart, again and again.
