the south deserves to be romanticized for the diversity, kindness, and culture you can find here. and as someone who lives in the south it’s always a little ironic when i see europeans or even western or northern americans really into ethel cain. bc many of those people would sneer or make fun of a trailer park or small rural town. and probably also assume if someone is southern they’re just automatically bigoted or ignorant.

off topic but can we like
talk about how underappriciated southern food culture is???
like fr fr we have some of the most diverse food cultures mixed into a pot here
but people just??? don’t talk about it?? or dismiss it entirely
anyways yeah if you wanna say anything bout that topic
this is your calling ^^ /hj

I wasn’t abused by my preacher father when I was a child, did not escape from my home town with a robber who was killed by the cops, fled the scene and hitchhiked with a madman who drugged me, murdered me and ate me. I’m not even American! So why is Preacher’s Daughter by @mothercain so relatable??! My melancholic heart is satiated by this beautiful album. From the lyrics to the guitar riffs to Hayden’s voice, each song is a masterpiece. Thankyou Mama🙏🏻
