Runaway paladin AU x Twinverse: Akira runs into the Voltron group right after Keith goes awol. Is torn between insisting he isn't who they think he is, and keeping his own identity secret.
Akira is SO confused.
Why are there humans in space? Why do they clearly know his twin brother? The one his mom left back on Earth with their dad? Are those Alteans?
He doesn't know how to tell these people that he's not who they think he is without revealing his identity as a Blade. He's pretty sure his cover will be blown anyways, because these are the paladins- which means Keith is a paladin- but the red lion apparently also accepts him? Kolivan tells him to keep up the act for now, while they try to fin exactly where his brother went and what he's doing.
Akira just pretends that he hit his head when the red lion crashed, so his memories are kind of shaky right now. He gets away with it purely because even the one person who knows Keith has an identical twin brother (Shiro) doesn't expect to find him in deep space. Meanwhile, Kolivan's Blades actually manage to find Keith, and bring him back to base, where they learn he lost his ability to shapeshift and is stuck in Galra form.
They 'resolve' this issue by letting Keith join the Blades in Akira's place, while Akira stays on the Castle of Lions and continues to pretend to be Keith. What they don't expect is that eventually the paladins will show up at their base, asking for an alliance.

Hey y'all! Reminder that Cop City is on track to be finished in ten months.
Another reminder, Cop City will be the first of it's kind and places like Chicago, Illinois and Lacey, Washington are planning something similar should Cop City in Atlanta be a success.
A third reminder; Cop City will be used to train police all over the world and will further Atlanta's GILEE program with Israel.
Please please don't let them silence us. With SB 63 being passed making bailing more than three times a year impossible and the referendum petitions not making it to ballot, we need all the help we can get. Atlanta has experienced catastrophic flooding and erosion ever since they raised the forest. It's a social, environmental, and political nightmare project that I fear will be completed.
It's been over a year since Tortoguita's death and the City of Atlanta hasn't done a darn thing about Cop City. Usually, I say something positive at the end like "It isn't over until we say it's over" but as more time goes by, I'm legitimately losing steam. Most of the citizens of Atlanta are very much against this but so far it's been difficult to even get near the forest or protest openly. Heck, this week the Atlanta Police, FBI, and AFT searched activist's homes and arrested activist John Mazurek.
I look at Savannah's example of stopping large ecosystem destroying projects. Maybe (hopefully) Atlanta will follow in her footsteps. But then again, the scenario is drastically different. Savannah managed to get a vote, Atlanta so far hasn't.

drawing something very self-indulgent and wondering if I'll have the strength to finish it let alone post it eventually

Sometimes during the heat of a Texas summer, when it gets to be really hot out, I feel like if I could get my body to a low enough temperature, everything would just stop. It's almost like somedays, when i sit outside or go on a walk, it's like the only thing that's left to feel is the heat, and if there was anything that could take that away, it would almost certainly take me with it

im completely serious when i tell you one of the best things you can do in your early 20s is make online friends from different countries/cultures/backgrounds than you and learn about their point of view. it broadens your horizons and helps you see things from perspectives you didn't know existed. also friends are fun

Being the token straight dude friend is so dope all these chicks and gay trans dudes run up to me ranting and raving about makeup and Post Hardcore and electronic music and the latest long haired skinny dude in tight pants that they're obsessed with and I'm like "I don't understand but you're having fun and you trust me enough to share your interests with me so I will listen".
