Commission from me boi @thpok!
"The Fao tend to have detachments dispatched far from their mothership, each supported by one or two heroes of the Fao's past for protection during their explorations. Nennalhen Faolimdi had earned his title of "The Hand that Holds the Piercing Light of the Fao" ages ago, and so was sent alone with his contingent and ship deep into unexplored regions of space near a nebula. The Apostles of Man had unfortunately also chosen to set up some ships in that area not long prior, and viewed Nennalhen's detachment as they tend to view all non-Human ships: hostile, and in needing of bringing the light (and might) of Humanity to them.
Nennalhen had earned his title before Humanity dipped their toes into the cosmic void, and it was not the first time he'd demonstrated how he earned it. The searing hole of slag and debris in the AoM vessel had crippled them, but the damage sustained to the Faoli ship, as well as his mechanical body, was extensive. A leg was sheared, an arm ripped away, and the other arm was damn near melted off. If his ship could pick him up again, he'd be fine. Fao mechanics and shipwrights were well-prepared for fixing damage to vessels small and large even away from the mothership, and even after conflicts with Drakkonis in the galaxy.
So why, Nennalhen mused, broken and aimless in space, was his ship not picking him up?"

Water may have been brought to Earth by asteroids, “precious samples” from recent space mission show
Water may have been brought to Earth by asteroids from the outer edges of the solar system, scientists said after analyzing rare samples collected on a six-year Japanese space mission.
In a quest to shed light on the origins of life and the formation of the universe, researchers are scrutinizing material brought back to earth in 2020 from the asteroid Ryugu.
