El episodio “Bye, Bye Butterfree” del anime fue mi primero que vi.

A mi, el mejor Pokémon es Swampert.

Prefiero Pokémon que sea de tipo Agua.

This is a presentation I made for my Spanish Intro class last semester. I had to go to a cultural event and write a two minute speech to present to the class. (but we're in a panoramic?! I know, we were allowed to view one online. But museums were open here with reservations and restrictions so I went to The Whitney.) Hated that. Every class, we talked in Spanish, but there is just something about presenting that rattles my nerves. I enjoyed the exhibit since it was about Mexican muralists’ influence on US politics. And of course, the exhibit threw in a couple of Frida paintings. I shan’t complain. If you'd like to read my presentation, I've added it after the break. Note, not pictured, I talk about a tote bag I bought in the museum as well as NYC’s library card program that offers free Museum tickets called, Culture Pass. I also used Canva to create my presentation. I find their platform way easier to use than powerpoint or prezzie and their pre-made content is IT...

Hoy voy a hablar de mi viaje al Museo Whitney.

El Whitney tiene actualmente una exposición llamada “Vida Americana” y contiene doscientas obras de arte, de sesenta artistas Mexicanos.

Usan su arte para protestar contra las injusticias políticas, procedentes de los Estados Unidos.

Jose Clemente Orozco, Diego Rivera, Y David Alfaro Siqueiros son los artistas más populares [De la exposición]

También hay dos pinturas de la colección de Frida Kahlo.

Ella es mi favorita, pero no es un foco importante.

De los tres artistas, el arte de Jose Clemente Orozco es el más emotivo.

Su arte se centra en Prometeo de la mitología griega, que es la razón por la que los humanos tienen fuego y conocimiento.

Ves las luchas [y el conflicto] de la humanidad en las pinturas de Orozco.

Su pintura “El Fuego” me da escalofríos.

La tienda de regalos también vende arte portátil en español.

Esta bolsa dice “Hay artistas entre nosotres”

y noten la inclusión de género!

Me gusta esta bolsa porque soy artista.

[Y soy una artista floja, pero sigo siendo artista.]

what resources are you guys using to learn spanish? i would really like to find different ways to learn. i’m working on a covid vaccine study and i would really like to be able to just explain stuff about the vaccine in spanish in about 6 months.

Right now I am using duolingo and Lingodeer and taking notes on different topics in spanish. I am also listening to spanish music often too. I don’t know if there are any online textbook that you guys thing are useful but please send anything that you can think of💕

Este blog estará un spanblr.  

Espero que aprender más de la lengua que sé ahora. 

Español es mi lengua segunda, entonces voy a hacer muchos errores. Lo siento por eso.

Tengo 27 años.

Uso cualquier pronombres, pero prefiero los pronombres de genero neutral, como elle, nosotres, etc.

Estoy de los estados unidos. 

Me gustan leer libros de ficción, tejer bufandas o gorras, jugar los videojuegos o juegos de la mesa, escribir cuentos de ficción, tocar fotos de la naturaleza, montar mi bici, aprender lenguas extranjeras y escuchar musica en inglés, español, o noruego.
