I bet there was SO MUCH of dean's reaction that we didn't get to see. because they didn't want us to read it the way it had to be read.
Tumblr media
and jensen probably has it in his phone and he's never even said anything because he couldn't didn't want to draw attention from misha's incredible performance and the meaning that the scene had on its own, even without dean reciprocating (because it's still SO IMPORTANT)

News of the day: In the Italian dubbing Loki uses the singular you when he says "For you. For all of us" and stares at Mobius.

BLUEY: THE SIGN SPOILERS
Kudos to the Latin American Spanish dub of Bluey who took the extra effort to dub Meg Washington's Lazarus Drug, the closing song during The Sign, in Spanish.
At time of international release on Disney+, only the LatAm Spanish dub has a variant of this song dubbed, expanding the heartfelt, enchanting ending to more audiences.

All the talk about the destiel reciprocation giving me war flashbacks to late 2020 dealing with this for the first time and now we know the reciprocation was in the OG script I'm gonna once again claim that it was AFTER Cas was taken.
I don't think Dean reciprocated to Cas before he was taken by the Empty.
I think he said "I love you too" or some variation of it whilst he was sitting collapsed on the floor ignoring Sam's calls.
Thats what Jackles had to do additional dubbing for after all. It makes more sense and is more painful if he only says it AFTER and that fits the tone of the scene better. The scene was so clearly chopped up and heavily edited but I still think thats the best place for it.
A whispered fragile broken "I love you too" whilst Dean realises his last chance for real happiness has just been ripped away from him. Yeah.

I watched a bit of Our Man Bashir in spanish a while back and every so often the knowledge hits me that not only do Julian and Garak still use the formal you for each other after 4 years of weekly book club lunch dates but also that when they're arguing at the beginning (that one scene with the tuxes in which they're standing 2 inches apart) Julian drops it. They're arguing about whether Garak should stay or not and Julian's telling him to "shut up and don't rain on my parade", and I guess he thought it was a little weird to say "kindly shut the fuck up, sir". There's also, I'm sure, some interesting Cardassian cultural connotations in someone telling you to shut your damn mouth in informal speech while standing so close your noses are basically touching.
Then they immediately go back to the formal you and stay that way even after Julian shoots him

As a translator, my two cents is that we translate based on what we see on the original script, and we have a limited amount of time to do it. I guess there could be cases where the translated version has a different meaning from the original, but it wouldn't make sense in the way we were told it happened here. I would expect that the translated version was the one that censored the 'controversial' scene, if the region has some reservations about it. But how do you make something gay when it's not gay in the original??? It only makes sense that the translated version is dean saying y yo a ti if the original script said something along the lines.
I remember I discussed this on a fb translator group, it was fun lol

We usually don't post anything unrelated to the Quack Pack, but this news has us pretty upset. Although this is not an English speaking area, but a Latin American Spanish speaking area, it is still sad to say that a Latin American Spanish speaking voice actress named Erica Robledo died last week. :(
Yes, she acted in many series and gave many voices in Latin American Spanish dubbing, especially in the roles of Tanya Ratonovich (Tanya Mousekewitz) in An American Tail, Princess Ariel in The Little Mermaid Disney TV series, Dorothy Gale in The Wizard of Oz (anime version), Princess Esmeralda in Magic Knight Rayearth, Ran Mouri (Claudia Guzman) in Detective Conan, Nemo in Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland, Princess Irene in The Princess and the Goblin, Princess Flora in the Babar series, Hollyhock, Wanda Pierce and Maude in Bojack Horseman, Heidi in the film of the same name, as well as the role of Mary Magdalene in the film Jesus, Princess Zarina Leprechaun 4: In Space, Vanessa in Lupin III and some roles in the Maradona series and in other dubbings she gave. Wife is Leonardo Araujo, director of Latin American Spanish dubbing and mother of son Álex Araujo, who is an excellent voice actor for Latin American Spanish dubbing.
Yes, she also voiced Louie Duck in Quack Pack, in the Latin American Spanish dub and was very successful at it. Although the original American version is not bad, the Latin American Spanish was really great and you should listen to it (if there are those videos available on the internet at all) and a big thanks to her for voicing Louie. It is a great pity to lose her. Source: https://www.instagram.com/p/C2oVz1mN0wB
