qPhil & Other Egg Headcanons
Happy birthday original eggos 😭💚🎉
Note: Although I made these bc the og eggs are birth today, I've done at least one hc for each egg! They're a bit limited bc they're based off what I've seen through 3 POVs + osmosis through liveblog, but I included them all nonetheless. :D
qPhil headcanons masterlist
He thinks Leo has so much fucking swag. How does a literal egg look so fucking cool like at all times. How does she do it.
Secretly admires the shit out of Dapper. He's fucking brilliant. Hilariously unhinged. Insanely devoted to his collection habits. Adorably takes after Bad in looks and silliness. He's just such a badass little guy.
Pomme his fucking beloved. Brilliant just like her siblings, insanely perceptive, tough as nails yet still soft as flower pedals. He sees huge survivalist potential in her. He wishes she could shed some of the stress she's always seems to be under. He relates to her a bit too much sometimes. He hopes that poor girl gets a break.
He's absolutely gutted he didn't get to know Trump like at all. He saw little to nothing of him. He hopes he's at peace with Maxo.
GOD he wish he got more time with Flippa. She took him out like it was nothing. He would've loved training her alongside her parents. He bets she would've been an awesome pvper one day.
He wishes he could've seen more of Tilin. He more familiar with her than he was Trump but still not enough.
Richarlyson makes it so hard not to pick "favorite eggs" besides his own. Richas is always on some wild ass shit, Phil fucking loves it. That kid's just high on life at like all times. Unreasonably funny on top of it all. God does Phil worry about him though, he's gotten way too into risking his life for the lulz.
Ramon practically feels like a third child to him (sometimes). Much like Dapper, he loves how brilliant he is and how cracked at his craft he is.
Bobby's death absolutely devastated him. He loved that little shit. And he loved how happy he made Roier and Jaiden. Seeing how severely his death broke them made his heart ache. He had nightmares about going through the same thing.
He's DETERMINED to get to know Chunsik further. Timezones are a bitch though. :( But he will be damned if something happens before he can get more familiar.
Empanada is unreasonably cute to him, and he loves seeing her take more and more after Bagi every time he sees her once more. He absolutely loves how close she and all her moms are. He genuinely fears the Pancake Mafia tbh, and he's convinced Empanada is the head.
He adores Sunny. She knows what she wants. They're not afraid to speak their mind as long as they're comfortable. She's silly and playful and sweet. Yet they still have this small, but palpable cool edge to them. Truly one spunky little girl. 😎
Phil is like 90% sure Pepito is just always going thru it, but has a sneaking suspicion that's just how Pepito seems at first glance, and maybe thats just what Pepito WANTS people to think. Either way, Pepito is just such a Creacher and Phil loves it. An absolutely loveable little guy.
He on/off considers commissioning Ramon or Dapper to make bombs to go fuck up a Fed building. He'd let them join him tbh.
He's so insanely afraid of accidentally hurting the eggs, but he'd love to spar with them and teach them more pvp skills so they'd be even better at defending themselves. He's only comfortable doing so with his own eggs.
God, he wants more times where ALL the eggs are together. He loves watching them interact, he loves their dynamics with each other and the chaos that unfolds when they're all in one place.
Phil: I don't want to build things bc technically that's doing the Feds a favor by making the island cooler. So fuck them. // Also Phil: *would build an entire city for these goddamn eggs if it meant they were safe and happy*

Texas Mass Shooter All-too-Familiar
LOS ANGELES (OnlineColumnist.com), May 25, 2022.--Slaughtering 19 children and two adults at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas May 24, some 80 miles west of San Antonio, 18-year-old Salvador Rolando Ramos showed all the same traits of school shooters, reclusive, temperamental and non-communicative, all the hallmarks found in teenage killers.  While there are plenty of misanthropes that don’t commit mass shootings, Ramos fits the profile to a T, showing the kind a Autistic Spectrum disorder often overlooked and untreated by school officials.  Whether Ramos was ever treated for autism or other behavior problems isn’t know but it’s clear he had all the features of a ballistic killer.  Ramos was shot dead by an off-duty immigration and border inspection officer but only after he had gunned down 19 children and two adults.  Ramos’ mass-shooting comes only 10 days after a racist teenager murdered 10 Black people at a Buffalo supermarket.    Before Ramos went on his rampage at Robb Elementary School, he shot his grandmother, who apparently remains in critical condition at an Uvalde hospital.  Imitating the Dec. 14, 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary mass shooting in Newtown, Conn., Ramos, like 20-year-old  Sandy Hook shooter Adam Lanza,  shot his grandmother before moving on to his rampage at Robb Elemenary.  Lanza shot his mother between-the-eyes before going on to Sandy Hook where he killed 20 children and six adults.  Law enforcement officials no doubt look for a motive or precipitating cause for Ramos’ shooting rampage but glaring similarities exist between most childhood shooters.  Like 18-year-old Payton S. Gendron who shot 10 Black people May 24 at a Buffalo supermarket, Ramos followed the same script of a teenage killer equipped with AR-15 assault rifles and body armor.    Debate has started again over the Second Amendment and the need for better gun control legislation.  When the National Rifle Association [NRA] meets in Houston May 27, speakers, including former President Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tx.), will no doubt blame the Uvalde incident on mental illness or some other type of depravity.  “He [Ramost] was kind of a weird one.  I never got along with him.  I never socialized with him.  He doesn’t talk to nobody,” said Juan Alvarez, 62, boyfriend of Ramos’ biological mother. “When you try to talk to him he’d just sit there and walk a way,” speaking volumes about the reclusive, socially inept personality that often goes with child mass shooters.  What’s disturbing is the fact that Uvalde police, two months earlier, came to the Ramos home for a domestic dispute when he left to live with his grandmother.  Uvalde police did not assess Ramos for dangerousness.    Police and other mental health professionals often miss signs of dangerousness, failing to get appropriate treatment for suspicious individuals.  With today’s medical insurance not covering all mental health, it’s difficult for law enforcement or school counselors to refer to appropriate treatment.  Police cannot intervene early because it violates civil rights, unless a violent incident has already occurred.  Ramos had no  history with the Uvalde police or his high school with violent behavior.  Reports of Ramos telling a friend that he might do “something” didn’t result in police notification.  Ramos grandfather, Rolando Reyes, said they were not aware that Ramos possessed assault rifles and ammunition. But whatever the holes in the current mental health system, elected officials must pass some type of gun legislation to prevent teenagers from getting assault weapons.    Ramos apparently bough the assault rifles legally close to his 18th birthday.  Where he got the cash for the purchases in anyone’s guess.  Elected officials, including Second Amendment advocates, must accept existing research on brain development, knowing that the adult brain doesn’t mature until at least 25-year-of-age, maybe later.  So when it comes to purchasing firearms at retail stores, elected officials can surely agree that teenagers aren’t ready to assume responsibilities of gun ownership.  Much talk in the gun debate focuses of longer waiting periods to complete gun purchases or extending more comprehensive background checks.  While all of that can’t hurt, elected officials must keep guns out of the hands of teenagers, no matter what.  Until the teenage brain evolves by age 25 into a responsible adult, the government must prevent teens from buying lethal weapons.    Salvador Rolando Ramos was another teen killer, someone with a disturbed upbringing, but, more importantly, just not mature enough to buy lethal weapons.  When 49-year-old Texas Democrat governor candidate Beto O’Rourke interrupted Texas Gov. Greg Abbott at a press conference today in Uvalde’s central square, it said more about politics than any practical ways to prevent future mass shootings.  “This one is on you,” O-Rourke screamed at Abbott, blaming the pro-Second Amendment governor for the horrific mass shooting.  But instead of hurling insults, elected officials must work together across the aisle to come up with a fix that works.  Since it’s impossible, at this point, to assure comprehensive mental health services, elected officials could still change the age at which lethal gun purchases take place.  Raising the legal age to 25 would have saved at least 19 children and two adults. MORNING MUSING
Speaking of Trump, I think I've figured out a winning campaign strategy for him: Visit popular fast-food restaurants in battleground states. Buy the folks some milkshakes, shoot the breeze, and pose for lots of selfies. Maybe overly simplistic, but visits like the one he made Wednesday to Chick-fil-A in Atlanta highlight his ability to connect with people. The more he does that, the harder it is for the left to demonize him — not that they'll ever stop trying.
LIGHTER FARE
And a bonus funny because Roxanne Hoge is a national treasure, and today's her husband's birthday.

Aging Biden Not Much Worse
A ghastly liar whose appalling ideology inflicts tremendous harm on the nation and this world has had a high quantity of birthdays.  Joe Biden is older than you, almost certainly by percentage.  Take comfort in knowing he was a jerk when he looked like the photo on his driver’s license.
Biden would’ve sucked as president in 1988.  Does that make today feel more bearable?  The observable decline began in law school, where the incumbent began flaunting his fondness for filching the work of others.  A thorough phony got derailed like his beloved Amtrak by plagiarism, which was a hobby he began in law school.
Present depressed primary followers should’ve remembered why even Michael Dukakis was more plausible.  The technical village elder repulses for reasons beyond a scandal too mortifying even for career politicians, namely demonstrably woeful results.
Biden was a dreadful moron during the Nixon presidency.  Age is about 17th on the troublesome issue list with a expert inflation creator and putzing leader.  The truly frightening moments during his regrettable moments speaking in public aren’t when he’s shrouded in mental fog: it’s what he believes during those rare glimpses when he’s coherent.
Fossils who suffer from memory issues sometimes show who they were before losing sharpness.  In Biden’s case, he lashes out over his own shortcomings.  A full-time yapper’s disheartening speeches would be incoherent either way.
A hoary ideology is worse than the geezer who adheres to it.  Biden’s obtuse take on human nature was discredited since even before he entered politics.
Our president is consistent.  Biden has been a prick in every decade.  An empty life spent being fully unpleasant is reflected in results, which is why he despises them.  The educated dunce’s obsession with letting graduates learn to duck responsibility is partly ideological, but he’s deeply committed personally to unaccountability.
It’s tough to understand others without doing what they do.  The president has no idea.  Empathy might help if he possesses any, so forget it.  Biden put the practice in law.  Those few sketchy years before running for the Senate showed his connection with commoners.
An ostensible president’s struggles with words and thoughts has been reflected in his personality long before the traditional quitting age.  Nastily nonsensical political takes aren’t something he unveiled at his 80th birthday party.  The simpleton-in-chief’s deterioration was only partially in effect when he calmly and rationally claimed Mitt Romney was hellbent on reinstating slavery.
Every single thing Biden has ever believed has been proven wrong.  If he claims the Sun will rise tomorrow, count on perpetual darkness.  Biden eclipses common sense.  The presidential cretin’s decrepitude didn’t just start when he entered his ninth decade.  Anyone who’s endured the misfortune of hearing him speak before he somehow ascended to the government’s highest office can testify.
The president’s lickspittles wish they could preserve his awful ideas without having to deal with the awful person.  Amateurish professional political scientists are unable to change the status quo despite claiming to be good liberals.  Aside from the irony that alleged upheaval aficionados have gotten everything they’ve wanted while holding power, they just don’t have anyone new to sell anciently terrible notions.
The 2020s are the decade where emboldened elderly show they’re still capable of being power-hungry inept fools leading particularly woeful cults.  As a result of their dedication to refusing to release the grasp on authority, this is shaping up to be the worst election possible.  It’s not just because their combined ages sound made up.  The alarming number is 159 counting the miserable challenger’s pending joyless birthday.
Terribleness is bipartisan.  There would’ve been dreadful consequences for America if Trump had commandeered the Republican Party 36 years ago despite having no principles aside from wanting to boss around people.  The only upside would’ve been getting this horrendous bout out of the way so we wouldn’t still be dreading another root canal of a term.  Saddam Hussein would presently be residing in a palace in Kuwait too gaudy for everyone except Trump.
I simply can’t believe an all-time nitwit is diminishing.  It’s not a far fall.  Biden has always been wrong about everything even before he lost count of how many grandchildren he is.  Pop-Pop has always wanted American power invested in the IRS, not the Defense Department.  As a throwback, he was wrong about how to win the Cold War and resisting Ronald Reagan’s tax cuts.  A supreme failure got the dreadful policies he wanted just like he would’ve in the previous century.
Biden helpfully illustrates why being president is not necessarily an accomplishment.  Conservatives who hope to diminish executive power can at least thank him for showing why concentrated power is frightening.  Biden’s sole contribution is making that goal more likely.  Of course, the doltish head of state is only helpful inadvertently.  You’ve seen the consequences of his deliberate attempt at assistance, and Americans remain more broke than when he decided to make everyone rich.
The real president will continue to be marionettists who are as bad at manipulating their ostensible boss as they are leaving Americans alone.  The pushy scheme of furtive will editors revolves around keeping their figurehead in place.  He cooperates, sort of.  For someone loath to work, Biden won’t retire.  That’s because he’s never tried hard.

Woke up 35 with a headache.
I've had worse birthdays. When you don't enjoy attention or planning or the people available to you, you accept it's just any other day. And it was.
A miserable day at the job I hate and grow further contempt for the more I painfully learn how to do it. A perfectly fine and normal day with the only person I speak to face to face most days, an increasingly senile mother who I made the decision to come home for. She means well and nothing is her fault; she bought me dinner and drinks but doesn't provide much conversation. Which isn't much different from the incredibly few friends I ever see anymore. So.
Recently I was in a nice atmosphere and as a shtick was asked to think of a wish. My mind went completely blank until it landed on death. And then I quickly realized that jesus fucking christ that's bleak and panicked till I landed on...winning the lottery? Because a wish doesn't have to be creative but it also shouldn't be based on logic.
Today Trump posted on his knock off twitter "Are you better off than you were 4 years ago?" and obviously normal people's answers were FUCK YES with good reason. He has nothing to do with my response but girl please don't make me yearn for that.

Hey, SandcatM here. TY for the recent translations.
GJ on finishing Muku’s B-day card. Though I noticed a repeated word inside Part 2 of the Muku B-day card, but it’s not a big deal- Muku: “…The way it took the lead to lead us…”
Just read Part 9 of the “Journey to the Colours” event story; surprised that the play started in that area. Though I noticed these things in Part 9- 1. Sanzo [Kazunari]: “Goku. You’re the one who originally said you would everywhere the others wanted to go, remember?” Should this area be “you would [go] everywhere”? 2. Sanzo [Kazunari]: “If our palates won’t match, then we don’t be ale to share a meal together…” Should this area be “then we [won’t] be [able] to share”?
Also, loved the footnote at the end explaining about the title of the play as a play w/ phonetic sounds of the “Journey to the West” title in Japanese. It reminded me of the manga loosely based on “Journey to the West” called Saiyuki(最遊記/ the 最 kanji meaning “extreme”).
About the A3! Sept. B-day minor roles, I was hoping for Juza to play his Trump the PT role, but at least he gets to show some kung-fu fighting(I know, it’s too corny). At least fans get to see Banri in his “bangs over one-eye/peak-a-bangs” look for his South Hill Prison role.
Speaking of roles, I saw some images of the BLACKSTAR 4th anniversary outfits & it reminds me of Autumn troupe’s Last Planet space pirate outfits.
Also, the JP TWST will release Part 5 of Ch.7 & Leona & Epel will participate in the next Master Chef event cooking milk dishes. Now I want to compare Muku’s wagashi chef outfit to Epel Master Chef outfit.
Also, Happy Birthday to BLACKSTAR’s Kei on 9/06; to A3!’s Banri & ParaLive’s Shura on 9/09; & to TWST Jamil on 9/12!
Hey, sorry for the late reply. But fixed the typos, thanks! Yeahhh, the play is reeeally long.. like the next part is even longer so expect some more delays haha... 😔 sorry, I'll get to it when I can!
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Jack wasn't available for Juza since Jack was the co-lead? 🤔
Speaking of twst, I caught up on the latest main story update and omgggggg 😭 SILVER????? 😭😭😭
Btw, kind of random, but a new otome game was announced today and the artist is Kazari Tayu (the artist for VISTY), so that's cool 👀 no visuals yet, but you can watch the teaser here~

Trump pointed out O'Neill, who works as a broadcaster for Trump's YES Network, in the audience and asked if the former Yankee would endorse him. O'Neill responded, "I'm here."

In what can only be described as an epic political Twitter rant (read: series of tweets), Rapper Azealia Banks emphatically stated she would be voting for The Donald to "Put a piece of (expletive) in the White House." Though King went to high school in Brooklyn with Bernie Sanders, she's a Clinton fan. King told seacoastline.com, "Why I'm still out there, strongly supporting Hillary, is I want to make sure the right person gets the job and I think that she is the best person ... the most qualified."

my day today
it started off awful with being unable to sleep until 9am then woke up at 11am having only about 2ish hours of sleep after 29 hours of being awake. parents didn't get the breakfast they had promised all week to get me for my birthday, but I expected that. my sis' felt bad and took me to Chilies for a margarita. That was nice. Then she decided to go to South Padre Island to Wanna Wanna to view the beach. I was up for it. We went on a quick trip to South Padre Island. It was nice. She got me a pina colada. and from within the tent we watched the beach and two surfers learning to surf. We didn't have beach stuff with us since this was unexpected but it was nice to watch. Then we went back home. I was kind of hoping my parents and sis' and I would go to H-E-B to get a cake and then the mall for a bit. Instead my dad canceled plans. I was irritated because my dad only grunted at me.
Later in the day I snapped at him for not telling me happy birthday. Something I haven't done in years. I am just so sick of his anger and talking over me and other crap all the time and never appreciating me that I finally just let it all out. but that was a mistake because I have been off my meds. My meds usually help keep my rage maintained and somewhat tolerate my parent's bullshit. He made me feel like shit for just wanting to be told "happy birthday" and a hug. I know it's a stupid thing to want, but I guess that little thing pushed me over due to all the other bigger things I constantly endure from him and other things. I texted my sis' to enter the room because my dad was really insulting me and saying hurtful things like "YOU TAKE HOLIDAYS TOO SERIOUSLY! I HATE THE HOLIDAYS!" like?? It's a birthday? Not a holiday? and that's so fucking hurtful to even say, maybe you should be freaking grateful you even have someone at all like me that tries to make a stupid shitty grumpy violent piece of shit like you smile once in a while. You have no other friends at all. It's just me, mom, and my sis'. Then those people you speak to like once every other month. You should be damn appreciative I care. All I wanted for my birthday was to be appreciated for one day because of all the bullshit you throw at me. Fuck you, dad.
My mom sided with me and started crying and demanded he stop his crap. I know it's stupid to even want to be appreciated for one day, but god ugh. I didn't say it like that to him though. I know he'd tear me down if I said that, so instead I just said "I'm just annoyed you didn't tell me happy birthday." To which he sarcastically said "well sorry, mijita!"
Anyways, after a shitfest we awkwardly hugged. but he still continued his insults. When my sis' entered the room, he was still continuing with, "THERE'S TINY THINGS YOU DO THAT ANGER ME! LIKE WHEN I ASKED IF THE COFFEE MACHINE IS ON. YOU SAID YES. I CHECKED AND IT WASN'T ON!" Like?? My sis' said to him "Just turn it on then?" My dad being an absolute narcissist thought she was telling me that and said "YEAH." :/
I snapped back at him with "YOU DO THINGS THAT ANGER ME TOO." then he kept talking over me. I said "LIKE THIS, TALKING OVER ME!" Then I said "AND YOU SHOUT ALL SORTS OF DEMANDS!" To which he denied. :/
Felt entirely like shit. Felt awful and embarrassed asking my sis' to even step into the room, but it was so my dad would stop being so aggressive. (he changes faces when my sis' is around.) My dad made me sound like I'm this entitled brat. No, you're the one that's fucking gross, sexist, violent towards animals, demanding, kind of acts like trump. All I do every day is pick up after you to help mom out and quietly tolerate your gross sexist jokes, your anger/violence, you being pissed all the freaking time, and other crap.
anyways, after that huge fucking shitfest, I guess I said "okay sorry" and I apologized a lot. Left to go bitterly eat pizza in the dining room.
My parents walked into the dining room and my mom said "okay kat, we're going to sing happy birthday to you" and I just... I appreciated it but wasn't in the mood. My sis' got dragged into it as well. They sang sounding like an absolute obligation or as if eating something distasteful. It made me laugh and then my mom started laughing.
Ugh, I still felt like shit but at least parents and I laughed. I felt bad for my sis'.
Jeez, it's like some... weird sitcom.
and that's the story of how I finally lashed out at my dad on my birthday for constantly pushing me over because I don't want to take my meds to maintain my rage and I still feel bad about it (same feeling I get when I speak or say anything but 10x worse) but I know I was in the right but ugh, he made me feel selfish and shitty. He is good at doing that when HE's the one that's awful. He's always "I HATE this I HATE that" and always so violent and spews insults and is highly condescending.
alright /vent sorry this is long at least the second to the first part of my birthday was really nice. I'm just going to forget this shitfest happened. =__= I'm so fucking tired and the frustrations of starting over again trying to be seen as a good person is so taxing. Last time I talked back to my dad was 2017, and the time in between doesn't matter to him because he actually said "YOU ALWAYS DO THIS AND START SHIT WITH ME." That was six years ago. =__= I hate my life and want to just die already, tbh.

The heat.  In the U K a record breaking 104.
Wednesday, July 20, 2022
Jenna’s birthday.  She’s fourteen.
Later: I phone her.  She says it’s hot up there (too).  Says this morning she went horseback riding. Those girls have a good life.
Today, on the East Side, there is a huge funeral for Ivana.  DJT’s entourage is present.  I keep thinking of something I read years ago...  A man endeavors to explain to his wife that he must attend the funeral of his ex.  Further explaning that the children from his former marriage expect it and will be present.  The wife is said to have responded, “Well, as long as you’re sure she is dead.”
DJT will be expected to deliver a eulogy.
HERE
Speaking of liars...Herschel Walker (ex football star, Trumpster) is running for Georgia Senate.  I heard a few lines from one of his  campaign speeches.  He said  that when he was in law enforcement he always shot and killed someone but at that momenct he prayed, asking the Lord for help in making that decision.  The Lord came through for him.  A convincing story, a good story, but totally made up.  Along with a lot of other lies he is spreading.
Later: Ivana in a gold casket.  Huge Trump entourage.  Melania in enormous dark glasses.  Barron towering over all of them.  Later: Buried at Trump National Golf Club cemetery at Bedminster, N J.  Near, I learn, the first hole.
to be continued

Today I want to share some information about an organisation called Fallon Gong. It was started in China by a man called Li Hongzhi. He introduced the movement to world wide attention at a public lecture in 1992 in China. Prior to this he had spent years studying various esoteric philosophies again in China. He has made claims that are patently false, the first is that he has the same birthday as the Buddha, and that he was born two years earlier than accurate. The following is a picture of Li taken in 1997.
Tumblr media
The main premise of his religion is that all the bad things that happen on earth are ultimately caused by extraterrestrial aliens who take on the form of humans. He has been asked if he is one of these aliens and only replies that he can be called human. He has said that this information has been given to him by these aliens. He has also stated that he has been given other information which he is not allowed to share and it this information that puts him on a higher plane than other followers of Fallon Gong. By 1999 Fallon Gong was declared an illegal organisation in China. Li had already gone on a world wide speaking programme and it was not very long before there were groups of adherents around the world and growing fast. Li himself lives in America, with his wife and daughter and rarely makes a public appearance. He does however make appearances on the internet. The organisation of Fallon Gong is very tech savvy in this manner however they also have there own television station New Tang Dynasty Television and a newspaper called the Epoch Times. The Epoch Times promotes the teachings of Li but also promote various conspiracy theories as well. They are long term supporters of Trump and have taken an Anti Vaccine stance to covid.

Hey! So this is a tad disconnected from your current asks but a lotta people I follow in the kink community are getting shit thrown their way in their inboxes. Does that happen to you too? And if it does how do you usually respond to it?
It doesn't happen often, but it does happen every once in a blue moon. Either gatekeepers mad that I kink a lotta content I really like, even though I love the shows, manga and comics for WAY more than just the kinks. Or just whenever I privately refuse requests from people who are more insistent than others and can't take a hint.
My response is always the same though. Trash their trash messages and move on. Bullshit isn't worth responding to and isn't worth giving the time of day because it only invites more bullshit. And my life's full of enough bullshit as is.
For example, my cracked root canal tooth that chipped several months ago straight up broke in half on Friday when I was eating something and waiting for orders. Broke the damn tooth and the temporary filling went flying with it. My dentists office isn't open until Monday, so I've had half a tooth and an exposed "nerve" ever since. I'd be in mindnumbing pain right now, except, because it's a root canal area, there's no nerve to subject to pain. So I haven't felt anything resembling pain or discomfort. Just the frustration that I know the tooth will have to be extracted, and it's one of the teeth closer to the front I'm terrified it's gonna leave me with a funny lisp because I can't afford a damn implant and don't want the surgery to get one.
All of that is to say, with everything else that's so astoundingly wrong with my life, I literally couldn't give a single microscopic fuck what some entitled dipshits on tumblr throw my way. I'm just glad y'all are as awesome as ya are. ;)

He plays too much
Tumblr media
I don't know man
I think I have expectations of every one and everything around me. Reasonable expectations I'd say.
The sun's supposed to come up at day, moon at night.
Everything that goes up is supposed to come down.
Gravity
Trump leaving office
Gay rights. Etc.
Friends behave in a certain way as do enemies and actions speak louder than words.
I don't think it's unreasonable for me or anyone to expect that JK does certain things for certain people or likewise Jimin.
It would be strange if I thought Mijoo was the love of Jk's life and he sat still and watched her get dragged and torn apart to fight a scandal on her own in the name of his career or reputation.
I'm sorry but I find that bizarre to outright ridiculous.
Like wise, I find it difficult that anyone who claims they love a person, including themselves, would do anything or omit certain things for whatever reason.
I must be the most delusional delulu on this planet to think Jikook is real, Suga loves his little brother, Tae min are best friends, or that BTS like each other compared to other idols.
If they love eachother how are they showing that love? Let's start with that simple question.
I said this once, I'll say it again Jungkook set bad precedent within the group. It's nothing to emulate and I think the hyungs will agree.
But whatever his reasons were, now he is back online wishing them a happy birthday on their birthdays.
I wish they address this in Soop and I wish someone gets real and says how fucked up it all is or how they genuinely feel about all this.
If you don't care about the culture of giving and gifting to others and wishing them a happy birthday why bother sending them gifts at all? Why bother calling your friends to wish Jin a happy birthday?
I'm not on board with the whole love in private agenda. If you can drape all over me in public, hold my hands, touch my butt, call me bestie, say you love me ON CAMERA but think a birthday post is too sacred and personal it needs to be in private that's fuxked up and keep your hands to yourself. Fuck the skinship.
It broke my heart when I learned Jin was waiting for people to wish him a happy birthday. If you didn't feel a bit of emotion why the hell did you ask your friends to wish him and over compensate in that way?? You think he'd appreciate your friends calling him because you asked them over you staying up at zero oclock to wish him yourself???
To let those friends know he has a special place in your heart?
I see why Tuktukkers buy into this whole our relationship is not for the cameras propaganda.
And yes, Jimin got mocked because he put Jungkook on a pedestal and hyped up their bond so much it gets on people's nerves. It pisses people off the way he is with Jk and Jk you set him up when you didn't post for him.
SHAME ON ALL OF YOU.
GO TO YOUR ROOMS AND THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU'VE DONE YOU TRAITORS
BTS get a lot of hate because of the bond they pride themselves in.
They more than anyone know just how much people wanna tear them apart and mock them for 'failing' on the charts or as a team. I've seen the clap back they clap at haters who use the quantity of trophies and awards to tease them. If it doesn't affect y'all why bother? Why the long face?
Tae Kook a special case so I don't want to dwell much on it.
But my inner tuktukker is enraged.
They don't have a great image out here. They just don't. From their "we used to be close. now are we not?" and all that controversy surrounding them.
The company and they themselves have gone out of their way to try and repair that broken image. We did not need this on top.
I protest.
Talk of expectations, I don't expect them to fake it though. I expect them to keep it one hundred. Which is what makes this development interesting.
Neither Tae nor JK are known to be chasers. They keep it real real real and we love that about them- I'll keep the delulu theory to myself don't worry.
I expected him to post for Jimin last year and I expect him to post this year, next year and subsequent years unless it's something they both agree to not do such things any more or if the nature of their relationship changes.
I said last year JM's birthday is important to him. And he did echo similar sentiments when he talked about retaliating against Jikook if he ever not do something as nice as he did for Hobi.
I said also I found that assertion he made questionable because in the past he is the same person who adviced Jungkook to not feel pressured to do things for his hyungs just because they felt some way about him getting all of them presents n not Jimin.
So yes, I had question marks over that and I don't think I hid that fact.
Jimin puts Jungkook on a pedestal. Jungkook don't. He distorts his rose colored glasses.
Thank God he's evolving and addressing the facades and his pretenses.
Last year when I was talking about his facade yall were busy disagreeing with blocks of texts and syllogisms and verbal abuse.
Keep that same energy for Jimin and disagree with him.
JK have equally talked about how he like to celebrate his special day and what not.
It's the I love to be loved Jimin said for me. It's up to the people around him to take him up on that challenge and show him how much they love him if not they assholes and they don't deserve him period.
Someone mentioned Promised...
Yes.
I have time today. We gonna get through all that today😊
Tumblr media
Also bear with me I need to process Tae Kooks mess out of my system.

Tues 2 Feb ‘21
A full OT4 roll call on twitter today, how about that! Harry tweeted “Thank you for all the birthday wishes, and all the special things you’ve been doing to celebrate it. Feeling very lucky today, and all the days. Love love love, H”, aww. Then ‘love love love’ trended for a while-- which may be how, a few hours later, someone happened upon the most recent gucci project, a Valentine’s day booklet called, yes, ‘Love Love Love’ (“highlighting the luxury house’s most giftable items”). Sighhh, I guess, though I still believe that Harry does in fact feel very lucky, and if he doesn’t I will personally kick his ass tbh.
Niall had more things to say-- he told us he has not really been reading any good books lately but that he read one a bit ago about Trump being a cheater at golf which yeah, kudos to whoever recced that for Niall! Talk about book/ reader matchmaking skills! He also says he has written some good songs lately, that NH3 “has been worked on”, but that lockdown was not good for his productivity (relatable, sigh), that he does sometimes come up with music stuff while golfing, and at least one older unreleased track has a chance of making NH3 but not for sure. He also responded to a tweet defending him for promoting himself against people saying he was “begging”, saying “haha is this a thing? Let me speak to these people?”. OMG yeah please! Let him! I would like to see that twitter fight go down please.
And Captain Tom Moore, the elderly British man who walked marathon distances in his garden to raise money (like…. 33 MILLION pounds) for the NHS, passed away of COVID. Louis and Liam, both of whom had tweeted about his money raising campaign, responded to the news. “What an amazing life this man lead, may he continue to be an inspiration to us all. Rest in peace Captain,” said Liam, and Louis, “a truly remarkable man who's message lives on as inspiration for us all to do more whatever our situation.”
Also: Walls re entered the Billboard Album Sales Chart at #33, Liam’s London gym/ longtime spon-con partner (Metabolic) posted a testimonial by him along with a workout photo to promote their virtual membership lockdown special, and we got some details about the Grammys, currently scheduled for 14 March (dates and details subject to change). They’re saying it’ll be outdoors, with media but no audience, with an in-person red carpet segment for performers and presenters. Ben Winston, who is in charge of this mess (if it weren’t Ben Winston I’d almost feel sorry for him tbh imagine trying to come up with a way to have an awards show in the middle of this kind of situation, but otoh they could just… NOT have an awards show in the middle of a city that’s struggling to find enough storage for the huge numbers of dead bodies that are piling up due to the unchecked spread of disease...) says he’s “looking to do something quite exciting with ... independent venues” so maybe streamed in performances.
#Harry styles#niall horan#liam payne#louis tomlinson#gucci can fuck right off with trying to call their expensive marketing thing a fanzine tbh#fanzines are fan made non commercial home made objects of love not ad brochures#I will not call it that#tom moore#happy groundhog's day!#non US people I won't go so far as to say you're missing out cause who in their right mind would want to live in the US in these times#but I will say that having a holiday about a rodent predicting the weather is a high point#if anything was gonna stir me to patriotism well... this has a chance!#I got put on a harry hate blog list aklkafla!#cause we maaade it...#imagine having that bad of reading comprehension tbh but it's almost a shame I blocked them#today's post would really have em frothing at the mouth!#idc what those ding dongs think they straight up said they put people on there for saying he was stunting#because they THINK HE'S REALLY DATING OLIVIA#like ..these people are idiots!#not for them but for you I will say -- I don't really care if Harry's always doing gucci promo#like Niall said today#doing promo is the job and they're at work#(well niall didn't say ALL THAT today but it was implied)#I just feel sad because his actual self is so lovely and I'm sad that it isn't something I as a fan have access to#very often#but I aint mad at him for it! as a female person who hits some of the boxes for conventional attractiveness I have many times in my life#been in the position of people wanting more access to me than I wanted to give them#and I had no guilt whatsoever about being like well-- suffer I guess! Not my problem!#and similarly my desire to pal around with harry or to pretend I was via social media#is not his problem

April 12, 2021: Mrs. Doubtfire (1992) (Recap)
Hey, Robin Williams. Been a while.
Tumblr media
I’m sorry that I haven’t watched your movies for a while, and that I always skip your comedy stand-up when my phone’s on shuffle. I just...let me explain. Since I was a kid, you were one of my favorite entertainers. That might as well have started the day I was born, because...well, we share a birthday, fun fact. But it definitely continued with the first movie I ever saw in theatres.
Tumblr media
While I don’t quite remember the first time I saw it, Aladdin was one of my favorite childhood movies, and I knew that you were the voice of the Genie from an early age. You might have actually been the first actor I ever knew by name. Which makes sense, because your stardom during the ‘90s was nearly unparalleled.
The next film I remember seeing (and hearing) you in was Ferngully: The Last Rainforest. That also starred Tim Curry, who would also be a major figure of my childhood. It also wasn’t the best movie, in hindsight, but it is the only time I’ve heard you rap since.
Tumblr media
But eventually, I watched your forays into live-action, too. Jumanji, Hook, even the objectively bad Flubber, are all movies that I vividly remember watching during childhood. I was really excited for Flubber, even, and I LOVED Jumanji growing up. I liked Hook, too, but I appreciated that more as I got older.
Tumblr media
Of course, during this time period, you also made less family-friendly films. The Fisher King, Good Will Hunting, Dead Poets Society, Good Morning Vietnam, and What Dreams May Come were all very successful, and cemented your reputation as an actor. I also haven’t seen any of them. In fact...I don’t think I’ve seen any of your dramatic roles, and that’s something that I’ll fix this year. Hell, in a few days, I’ll watch The Birdcage, another of your big hits of the ‘90s.
But why haven’t I seen them up to now? Well...I was going to watch these films, about seven years ago. But...I haven’t been able to bring myself to do it. Because it hurts. A lot.
Tumblr media
I know that this is a downer, but my relationship with Robin Williams today is tainted by his tragic death. I was fucking BROKEN when his death was announced, and I really haven’t been able to watch him since. I’ve seen Aladdin recently, but that’s about all I could stand to watch. I mean, the guy shares a birthday with me! I’ve always loved his comedy stylings, and his improvisational skills are something I’ve internalized to a certain degree.
So, yeah. This one’s tough. But, it’s about time I moved on, and celebrated the man’s career for what it was: stellar. And that also brings up an important question, that some of you have probably asked by now:
HOW HAVE I MISSED MRS. DOUBTFIRE, WHAT THE FUCK
Tumblr media
I KNOW I KNOW OK?
Look, I’m not entirely sure how I haven’t seen this movie, because I’m MORE than aware of it! I remember it airing during the ‘90s, my Dad AND girlfriend love this movie, and I know FOR A FACT that my family owned both the DVD AND THE VHS of this movie! So, how? HOW HAVE I NOT SEEN IT BY NOW?
I honestly have no idea, but let’s fix it now, huh? Yet one more man-dresses-as-woman movie this month! And no, I am not watching White Chicks...because I’ve already seen White Chicks. Also, it’s...problematic.
Tumblr media
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
 Recap
Tumblr media
Daniel Hillard (Robin Williams) is a voice-actor, and a good one. Which, given that it’s Robin Williams, isn’t entirely inaccurate. He’s also a voice actor with a spine, as he morally objects to a scene in the cartoon that he’s performing for, in which the main character smokes. By the way, I’m 99% sure that this cartoon is animated by Chuck Jones, and it looks well-made.
Anyway, this leads to him quitting the cartoon altogether, and allows him to pick up his kids early from school. These kids are Lydia (Lisa Hykub), Chris (Matthew Lawrence), and Natalie (Mara Wilson), and it’s Chris’ 12th birthday. Daniel arranges a...surprisingly large party, given that it’s completely impromptu, and it comes with a petting zoo and complete trappings. However, it’s not a party of which his wife will approve.
Tumblr media
This wife is Miranda (Sally Field), a successful architect and the breadwinner of the family. After getting a call from the neighbor about the party, she comes home and busts the outrageous party. And for the record, I’m entirely on Miranda’s side here. This party is INSANE, and very irresponsible, given the fact that Daniel currently has no job. And yeah, he’s a very loving father, and a good person, but...it’s too much.
Tumblr media
Miranda feels the same, and after 14 years of frustration, she realizes that she no longer loves Daniel. In a genuinely sad scene, she tells him that she wants a divorce. And she goes through with it MUCH to Daniel’s detriment. He has no home, as he’s staying with his brother, Frank (Harvey Fierstein) and his partner Jack (Scott Capurro). He also still has no job, meaning that he has no way to provide for his children. This means that he has no ability to provide, and the judge awards Miranda full custody. Oof.
However, this is a conditional arrangement, as another hearing for joint custody will be held in 3 months, and if Daniel can get a home and job in that time, he has a chance. He performs a litany of voices and impressions with his court liason, Mrs. Sellner (Anne Haney), which amuses me, but not her, and he gets a job in order to be with his kids for more than one day a week.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Miranda IMMEDIATELY starts dating fellow designer and old flame Stuart Dunmeyer (Pierce Brosnan), like, almost before Daniel leaves the house. He bids a heartfelt goodbye to his kids, with the promise that he’ll see them on Saturdays. And now begins the absolute hatred and petty bitchiness of Daniel and Miranda! Seriously, it’s...it’s fucking terrible, and it takes away from my sympathy from either side. I get that divorce is rough and ugly, but GODDAMN, neither of them perform the act with any form of tact or grace.
Tumblr media
This is put on display during the kids’ visitation to Daniel’s semi-crappy new apartment, which doesn’t even seem that bad, to be honest. Miranda dropped them off late and picked them up early, as if to slowly starve Daniel of time with his kids, which is extraordinarily shitty of her, fuck me. Daniel’s not taking it well, understandably, but then does something...really dumb, when you think about it.
See, Miranda’s looking for a nanny, to help watch the kids and clean the house during the week. Daniel volunteers his services, which is actually a good idea, but Miranda says she’ll think about it, which we ALL know means no. I DO NOT like Miranda, even if I understand the initial reasons for the divorce. She’s being especially spiteful, and it’s not a good look.
Tumblr media
Daniel’s stupid idea, though, is to change the phone number on the ad for the nanny, which Miranda shows him before she takes the kids. Instead, he calls her number, and pretends to be various terrible applicants, until finally supplying his own applicant: the completely fictional Euphegenia Doubtfire (Daniel Hillard).
Tumblr media
Daniel plays Mrs. Doubtfire as an elderly British woman, and a seasoned nanny in her day. Which is why it’s weird to me that, when he does to Frank and Jack to help him make an elaborate disguise as Mrs. Doubtfire, that they go through various other impressions and get-ups. Which, yes, is goddamn hilarious, but also makes NO SENSE, given that they’ve already established her character to Miranda. Funny, but nonsensical.
But, regardless, Euphegenis Doubtfire comes into being, and introduces herself to Miranda and the kids. Mrs. Doubtfire is exactly what Miranda’s looking for, although the kids aren’t exactly overjoyed, ESPECIALLY the oldest, Lydia. Also, during this first meeting, Miranda openly bad-mouths Daniel in front of the kids, in just the WORST fuckin’ way. I genuinely dislike Miranda A LOT. Again, the divorce was certainly justified, but I REALLY don’t like her. Daniel loves his kids, and they’re HIS kids, TOO. Stop using them as weapons against him, OOOOOOOOOOOH I DON’T LIKE MIRANDA
Tumblr media
Anyway, that evening, after she’s officially been hired by Miranda, Mrs. Doubtfire heads home, only to find court liason Mrs. Sellner waiting to speak with Daniel. After a litany of puns, and a humorous changing scene, Daniel accidentally throws the Mrs. Doubtfire mask out of the window, and is forced to improvise through equally humorous circumstances. Hence, the above meringue mask scene. Has anybody tried that, by the way? Could that work as a groundbreaking beauty technique? Or would the sugar just feed the skin bacteria and give you acne? Genuinely curious.
Tumblr media
Now going between his job as Daniel and the nanny job as Doubtfire, Daniel’s not doing too badly for himself. The nanny job begins, and Mrs. Doubtfire IMMEDIATELY contrasts with Daniel, creating a disciplinarian atmosphere in place of Daniel’s formerly loosey-goosey attitude. Which is interesting, and it works! I mean, it’s not how I would parent, but it does work. Doubtfire makes the kids to their homework, rather than watch TV, and then attempts to make dinner. Instead, though, the dinner’s ruined, and Daniel orders takeout and makes it LOOK like homemade food. And it looks good, too! Daniel’s full of hidden talents.
Tumblr media
After dinner, as Mrs. Doubtfire’s leaving, Lydia apologizes for backtalking her earlier, and thanks her for making her mom happy with everything she did that evening. he also says that she’s still a bit messed up about her dad being gone. And yeah, it’s sweet-but-sad.
Going forward (and in a montage set to Aerosmith’s Dude Looks Like a Lady), Mrs. Doubtfire takes care of the family, and Daniel even betters himself to become a better Mrs. Doubtfire. Which...to be honest, Daniel REALLY should’ve done this before. I get that he needed the pressure of losing the kids to do this, but...look, Daniel really wasn’t that responsible of a parent, and the fact that THIS is how he learns to be so is...not great. Like, here’s an example, OK: take Donald Trump.
Tumblr media
Yeah, I know, what’s this politics doing in my peanut butter? And WOW, that reference is older than me, but anyway. Let’s say that, in two years, a new politician comes on the scene, and her name is Karyn Walldottir. She has somewhat centrist views, and behaves in a way that’s inclusive to the majority, and backs up her claims and promises with evidence (at least true enough for us to suspend our disbelief). This is, of course, Donald Trump disguised as a woman in order to gain custody of the United States of America again. Naturally.
Karyn Walldottir gets elected in 2024, and all of her policies are markedly different from Trump’s and Biden’s, but leaning closer to Biden in progressive standpoints (assuming that that worked for him come 2024). While Trump is doing this specifically to be president again, he ends up revising his personal policies, and being a better person and president for the country. A literal impossibility, I know. But suspend your disbelief to ask this question:
WHY THE FUCK WOULDN’T HE DO THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE? IT MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE!
Tumblr media
OK, now that that dumbass (and mildly horrifying) thought process is concluded, let’s get back to Mrs. Doubtfire. In the process of Mrs. Doubtfire’s ingratiation with the family, Miranda’s been dating Stu, whom Mrs. Doubtfire subtly insults when they meet. And yeah, Daniel’s being a little petty here, but it makes a bit of sense at least.
That night, after an accidental intrusion by Chris when Mrs. Doubtfire is going to the bathroom, Daniel’s basically forced to tell Chris and Lydia his little secret, which Lydia’s happy about, but Chris is understandably weirded out about. But, they agree to keep the secret from their mom and younger sister.
Tumblr media
At his OTHER job, delivering film reels from a TV station, he witnesses the filming of an extremely boring kids educational TV show, and comments as such to another man watching. As he quickly learns, this is the owner of the station, Jonathan Lundy (Robert Prosky), on whom Daniel makes a good impression.
In the meantime, Mrs. Doubtfire has a talk with Miranda about their love lives, real and fictional. Daniel realizes how badly Miranda had been suffering in their marriage, which she never told him because...well, he never seemed to take anything seriously. Which is entirely fair...but this is why Miranda’s a tricky-ass character. She’s got two sides: there’s the justified caring mother and strong woman, and there’s the PETTY ASSHOLE who genuinely doesn’t care about Daniel or his feelings AT ALL. Jesus.
Tumblr media
And Stu...look, Stu is LITERALLY a Gary Stu, who’s mostly perfect. Sure, he’s not always been that way, but he definitely is now! He’s responsible, wealthy, in love with Miranda AND her kids. And yeah, at a country club that he’s a member of (OF COURSE he is), he privately badmouth Daniel in front of Mrs. Doubtfire, calling him a loser, and...yeah, he’s not really unjustified in that statement. Fact of the matter is, Stu is barely even a plot device.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, in Daniel’s day job, he finds himself alone in the studio, where the toy dinosaurs from the TV show are still sitting on the table. He plays with them, gives them voices, sings some songs, and impresses Mr. Lundy, who’s there in the shadows after all that. He’s impressed, and invites Daniel to dinner to talk about a potential future show at the network.
But then, it’s also Miranda’s birthday coming up, and Stu’s holding a dinner for her, to which Mrs. Doubtfire is invited. Trouble is, it’s at the OH FUCK IT. YOU know what this is. It’s at the same time and place as the Mr. Lund meeting yaddayaddayadda LOOK. We ALL know how this is going to end. It’s the GODDAMN LIAR REVEALED TROPE AGAIN. And here’s the thing:
I FUGGIN’ HAAAAAATE THE LIAR REVEALED TROPE
Tumblr media
You know, that thing in movies (especially family movies of the ‘90s) where somebody starts off a situation with a lie, they get deeper and deeper into that lie, grow close to people under false pretenses, and then OH NO! THE LIAR IS REVEALED! And everybody’s angry and/or sad, the liar slumps off, defeated and broken, but then realizes the error of his ways, while everybody else realizes the same thing, and he comes back to vindicate himself, and is welcomed back with open arms. And it introduces unneeded tension AND I HAVE ALWAYS FUCKING HATED IT.
Let’s list the examples, shall we? A Bug’s Life, Aladdin, Mulan, The Road to El Dorado, Chicken Run, How to Train Your Dragon, Klaus, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted, Megamind (SUBVERSIVE MY ASS), Over the Hedge, Rango, Toy Story, Steven Universe (the whole Pearl/Sardonyx arc, which went on for WAY too long), the list goes on and fucking on. And I GODDAMN HATE IT. Not to say it can’t be done well. Disney actually usually does a pretty good job with it, and Dreamworks uses it A LOT, but almost always pretty well. But sometimes...GOD. Either way, it’s still used FAR too fucking much. And look. Here’s another one. Joy.
Tumblr media
Look, at this point...I will freely admit that I'm biased against this trope, but it’s also obvious where this is headed. Basically, Daniel switches back and forth between the dinner with the family, and the dinner with Mr. Lundy. With Mr. Lundy, he gets absolutely SMASHED. Great. Great decision, Daniel.
So, yeah, Mrs. Doubtfire’s also smashed, which is pretty goddamn apparent to them all. At this point, I’m wondering why Daniel, as Mrs. Doubtfire, didn’t just say she was sick as hell, and had to go home. Or, considering the fact that Daniel proposes her as a show idea regardless, the switch wasn’t even necessary! And that means that none of what’s about to happen, happens. Or, here’s a crazy thought, maybe Daniel shouldn’t have POISONED STU’S FOOD WITH CAYENNE PEPPER THAT HE’S ALLERGIC TO!
Tumblr media
YEAH! Because that causes Stu to go into anaphylactic shock for a hot sec, causing him to choke. Mrs. Doubtfire does the right thing and gives him the Heimlich maneuver, and in the process, SURPRISE! IT’S BEEN DANIEL ALL ALONG! BUH BUH BUHHHHH DA DA DA DAAAAA DA
Tumblr media
Yeah, so Miranda is understandably ENRAGED by this revelation, and it’s all over. Daniel represents himself in court at the custody hearing, but the judge deems his “lifestyle” dangerous for children. Which...yikes, Judge, that statement didn’t age well AT FUCKING ALL. But, given Daniel’s admitted stupidity with this whole idea, he’s not wrong about the dangerous part. But, I have to say, Daniel’s speech in his own defense is nice...although he also says he’s addicted to his children, so let’s throw a second yikes on there for good measure.
The speech moves Miranda...but not enough to prevent Daniel has his custody stripped away from him! GOD THEY BOTH SUUUUUUUUCK. Daniel’s a broken man, and Miranda and the kids are similarly broken without him and Mrs. Doubtfire. However...Daniel’s career isn’t broken AT ALL, as Mrs. Doubtfire is now a kid’s show host! Yeah! And she’s a hit! And again, it brings me to wonder why Daniel DIDN’T APPLY HIS OBVIOUS TALENTS LIKE THIS IN THE FIRST GODDAMN PLACE
Tumblr media
Realizing that she made a mistake, she goes to the set during the filming of a show. She congratulates him on the show, and he replies by stating how broken he is now! Thanks, Miranda! Well, after an argument, and after Miranda sees how badly she’s messed up someone she used to care for, they come to an agreement: joint custody. FINALLY GODDAMN IT
And good, because I don’t want them back together. I have to give this film props for that: they acknowledge that these two are NOT good for each other, and they deliver a message in the end: families are families, no matter how they’re shaped. One mom, one dad, uncle or aunt, grandparents, adoption, two separated or divorced parents...oh, also, two dads or two moms. Yeah, that isn’t said in Mrs. Doubtfire’s final monologue, which is odd considering Daniel’s brother and his life partner...but it’s also kid’s TV in the ‘90s, so I guess that sadly makes sense. And with that, and their new family arrangement, Daniel takes his kids on an afternoon out, as himself.
Tumblr media
...Look. That’s Mrs. Doubtfire, yaddayaddayadda LOOK. I don’t dislike this movie. In fact, here: have this mini-Review:
Cast and Acting - 9/10: Good, although Brosnan was a little stiff.
Plot and Writing - 5/10: It’s an idiot plot, what can I say? It’s actually based off of a book, which was a surprise to me, but it was adapted by Randi Mayem Singer and Leslie Dixon, and...eh. Still an idiot plot.
Directing and Cinematography - 8/10: It’s Chris Columbus, you get what you get. Definitely has that Home Alone flair to it.
Production and Art Design - 8/10: I mean, yeah, the Doubtfire disguise was good most of the time, but...I dunno, I could still tell it was Robin. But, still, it was good. Took 4 hours of makeup, fun fact.
Music and Editing - 8/10: Music by Howard Shore (ooh, Howard Shore!) was pretty nice, especially the ending theme. Editing by Raja Gosnell was...RAJA GOSNELL???
Tumblr media
OH GOD. Yeah, OK, I see what happened here. Also, I didn’t know he was an editor! I just know him as the director of the Scooby-Doo films, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, The Smurfs films, Big Momma’s...
Tumblr media
...OK, no, I am not doing Big Momma’s House OR the Madea movies. THE TROPE-BUCK STOPS HERE! I am moving on to something else! But, of course, I have to sum this up in a Review. See you there!
