I might be asking too much of the writers here, but the episode when Kort came back and needed Gibbs' help, could Gibbs not once have mentioned something about Tony and his car when Kort was whining about them not helping/dragging their feet/I don't really remember exactly, instead of snapping at Tony for his attitude re: Kort?

Now, in the Mike Franks returns episode, it would have been nice for there to be a mention of Frank's assaulting Tony in season 4, especially now that Tony is (one of the ones) protecting his family.

So much good material to work with, and it's all left on the cutting room floor.

idk how many of you remember this but a few years ago tumblr ran a universally panned ad campaign for (us american) pride month that went "the gayest place on the internet".

well someone planning that campaign dropped in to ask the queer automatticians for advice on that and universally me and the other trans people involved were like "don't do it. i am so serious. don't do it. people on tumblr won't understand that it wasn't automattic who instituted the porn ban, or they will, but they'll recognize that automattic hasn't done anything, hands tied or not, to reverse it. nobody will like this. it will be a disaster." and they thanked us for our thoughts and went ahead with it anyway and then had to do retrospectives about how badly it went and were like "we just didn't know" and [gestures] yeah [edit: i think the person who rbed saying it was queerest place on the internet was right, my brain is fried, sorry! and that's... even worse lmao]

More specifically, an archaic, shortened form of de gozaimasu, associated with the madams of old-timey high class adult entertainment businesses. This, like most of Iyami’s speech quirks, comes directly from Tony Tani, one of the comedians Akatsuka took inspiration from when creating him. Tony Tani’s influence is VERY visible on Iyami, from his flamboyant stage persona, his tendency to sprinkle English words in his speech (he introduced himself as “number one handsome boy” in English, for example) to his signature pencil mustache! In fact, Iyami’s voice in the 80s adaptation of the Osomatsu-kun anime is a VERY spot on Tony Tani impression by Kaneta Kimotsuki! Just listen to one after the other:

#for context. a few weeks back i was playing on a fast respawn 2fort server #mostly because i just wanted to just. hang out somewhere without any real serious gameplay happening #that said. for the first few hours i was playing on there. was mostly playing gunslinger engineer and detonator pyro #and we had a good push up into their base but were stuck just at the entrance. with a heavy hold from the enemy team #but after a while. i just kinda got bored and wanted to just fuck about with the taunts and loadouts i had #first thing i did was play pyro and do the cheers taunt before getting on my bike and swerving a bunch as i drove #but i dont think anyone could tell thats what i was doing #so after a bit i just changed to scout. and started just riding my skateboard #(i also did the drinking and riding bit a few times but i eventually just ended up skateboarding around) #(one bit being me on the top of the bridge. doing the cheers taunt. getting on my board. and then skating off the bridge and killbinding) #so at some point. i kept getting stuck in place for some reason. like speficially on bumpy ground or... in the air #and the moment i got stuck in the air (for 30+ seconds mind you) i was just like ''my quantum board technique'' #and from there. i just acted as if i was playing the newest Pro Skater game #saying stuff like ''i have to do manual ollie combo for 150000000 points'' #or like ''i have to find grindrails on this level'' #eventually found my way into the sewers and said something like ''IVE FOUND THE HALF PIPES'' #before saying like ''man they really screwed up the physics since the last game'' #a soldier on the other team was trying to find me the whole time saying ''wheres tony hawk'' #specifically because he had a tony hawk avatar. and i only realized after he said something about it #anyway. after all that i skateboarded into a minisentry and died #and my last message was supposed to be ''my combo has ended'' but i ended up typing 'bombo' #and it made me laugh SO hard i couldnt backspace. and added on with ''my sweet bombo'' #and then i left because i had nothing more to do there. my bombo had ended and i had to move on.
