Note
this was a lil while ago but it's been on my mind and it was rejected by actual Reddit for containing references to violence lol so it's c&p from back when this happened w a minor update but AITA for saying I'd curbstomp someone for saying the N word??
I, (27NB) attended a murder mystery birthday party back in May for a friend Annie (25F) with our mutual friends (24-28 various genders) (There was 7 of us total). We all had a pretty good time despite a lack of planning for the party and general weird vibes (Annie had been upset all day at something their partner, Sean had done).
Towards the end of the night, myself and a friend we're discussing anagrams, I believe specifically for the word "ginger", I was very drunk and did not hear the letters being spelt properly so I guessed the word was "Rigger". The other party goers conversations were coming to a natural end so they joined in mine and my friend's convo. Upon hearing me say "rigger" and pulling a face when I realised what exacty the bad word was my friend was referencing was, Sean then said "Oh it's (n word)!". Another friend, Betty did not hear what they said and asked them to repeat in, which they did loudly. The whole party stopped for a moment. At this point I think I fucked up because I was immediately shocked and said "You can't say that!" and then they said "what, (n word)?" and repeated it another time. I made a comment saying I believed the only person in the friend group to be racist was Dan. I've since privately apologised to Dan for this comment as I don't think Dan is racist at all, and Dan has accepted that apology.
Pretty much immediately after that everyone started making plans to leave, within five minutes cabs were called. Everyone left the room leaving me and Sean alone. I think this is also where I fucked up, I approached them and said they cannot say that word, it's not theirs to say etc, in which they just kept repeating "I'll use that word if I want to". (edit from months later: apparently Betty's boyfriend was in the room and didnt like do anything and just watched this play out). At this point I was pretty much blackout drunk and threatened to curb stomp them if they carried on. Betty came in and diffused the situation and took me home. Betty says myself and Sean were stood very close to each other but I was visibly drunk and stumbling and clearly was in no shape to carry through with the threat (Sean is also significantly larger than me in height and weight so I don't think even sober I would be able to land a punch, not that I want to).
Betty filled me in on a lot of these details the day after as I didn't remember a lot but apparently afterwards I tried to be extremely friendly to Sean and sort out plans for us to hangout this week, something I obviously won't be following through on. (edit: we haven't spoken to each other at all since this)
I messaged Annie on the sunday to wish her a happy birthday(edit: the party took place on the Friday iirc) and she also told me what happened (she was not present for any of this as she went to bed early at the party, feeling sick) undoubtedly hearing only Sean's side of the story. Knowing it's her birthday and I didn't want to bother her with drama I just said maybe their partner shouldn't of said what they said, and she stated after having a mild go for me for threatening to curb stomp her partner that she can't weigh in. So I stopped speaking about it to her and just forwarded her some videos I took from that night (silly videos, one of her blowing out her birthday candles, etc) and she replied saying thanks.
I've messaged Sean saying we need to talk about what happened and basically said while I'm sorry for it happening in their house during Annie's birthday party, I'm not sorry for calling out thag disgusting behaviour. Betty and another friend, Jack have both said I was well within my right to kick off like that, and that I was clearly not going to follow through with any threats, and Sean was wrong to not only say the words multiple times but then to double down when called out both in front of everyone and privately. But i have doubts since it was a birthday party and perhaps saying I'd curb stomp them is a bit much. I don't recall myself being particularly angry while shouting at them but they've said they definitely felt threatened by me and put off on talking to me.
I also find it odd they feel so threatened by me/find this behaviour of mine odd as I have reacted a similar way (less aggressive) when Annie was also racist in front of me, Betty and Sean. I've also spent the last two weeks meeting with Sean, bankrolling and planning this birthday party with absolutely no issue (i don't think a birthday person should plan/pay for their own party and Sean is unemployed) and we've had fun! We joked around a lot and I feel like I'm pretty open about being too weak to throw a punch but always ready to fight (like a chihuahua). I even came over early to help set up for the party, because I liked spending time with them. So for them to feel threatened by me is such an odd feeling. I also feel uncomfortable in the fact that Annie and Sean feel comfortable saying slurs in front of me. The whole friend group feels weird about this situation, no one really knows what to say.
(edit: ok this is where the original post ended but there's still some drama) so the day after I called Sean(with consent, to talk) but Anne picked up and said she would speak on Sean's behalf and I was on speakerphone. He did not apologise (neither did Anne) and Anne defended his behaviour pretty heavily. her/both of their's resolution was for Sean to just not say the N word around me. I obviously said that's still incredibly fucking racist and I don't want to be friends with racists? I cut them off after the phone call and said I'd like the money back I spent on the party from Sean. Anne ended up paying it back two months later when I politely brought it up at another friend's birthday.
Betty and her boyfriend still hang out with Sean and Anne and seem to be pretty good friends with them. Betty mentions Anne to me fairly often and all I say is why are you friends with a racist and then she goes quiet. Everyone still maintains I'm the asshole that ruined the friend group and I still feel pretty insecure about what happened. I don't think I should've threatened violence but they all say "chat shit get hit". so idk. AITA? sorry for how long this is lmao
What are these acronyms?

Sherliam-shaped ramble incoming 🥴🥺
Rewatched Morimyu op. 3 for the millionth time and can’t stop thinking about Albert’s words to William about leaving the real Jack The Ripper culprits’ bodies there for Sherlock to find, and how much trust William had in this man despite only having met him a handful of times.
Like he really said ‘you and I are on the same wavelength to the point that I trust you not to fuck up this whole scheme to unite the current discord in London between Whitechapel and the Yard without even exchanging an actual word with you on the subject.’
He must have really felt so … vindicated to have found someone who could take one look at his actions and piece together his real motivations behind his criminal acts. Sherlock quickly paints the Lord of Crime as a ‘Robin Hood’ figure who’s seeking to rebalance their world, and although he can’t forgive the law-breaking methods employed by Liam, he recognises that Liam took on that role and condemned himself for the sake of the common people.
William found someone who could identify the real heart of him, and then he trusted that person with his life — to carry out the real justice to balance out his wrong-doings.
You know, the more I think about it, the more it hurts and the more I love Sherlock. I think for William, the answer to Sherlock’s ‘why me?’ (Why not a perfect actor instead?) is that an actor might see William’s acts but not really understand them in the way Sherlock does, or care to, and that is incredibly important to William.
William knew he had to die because what he was doing was passing judgement in a way he shouldn’t really be allowed to do, in a fair and righteous world, but he has to do it that way in order to make an impact and affect change. But at least let the person who ends his life truly understand why they’re doing it — not because William is rotten and hateful at his core, but actually, filled with love and compassion for others, so much so that he’s willing to become the villain for everyone else’s sake.
I believe it was the last comfort he could hope for — to have his act, his show, his existence brought to an end by an individual who would not hate him or misunderstand him as they ‘pull the trigger.’
He called Sherlock ‘the real devil!’ angrily in their final (and only) fight on the bridge because Sherlock hesitated, and William’s hard-wired view of his own guilt pushed him to think that Sherlock’s moral compass might suddenly be off, and he lacked the conviction to condemn William to death as William believed should be the just and moral end to his plan.
But then he realises that actually, it’s not that Sherlock is weak hearted and unwilling to follow through with the path of justice. What William has underestimated is Sherlock’s own depth of compassion — but compassion for him, specifically. In all his planning, even in his joy at finding Sherlock — a man who would understand his goal and dream and what it might take to bring it to fruition — William had failed to account for the possibility that someone might be moved enough by his sacrifice to want to save him.
The idea that he is as deserving of love as everyone else is not a thought he’s allowed himself to entertain, and he steels his resolve and decides that he will jump himself if Sherlock cannot do it.
But this idea that Liam is an individual hugely deserving of love has been at the forefront of Sherlock’s mind for a long, long time before they faced off on that bridge.
Sherlock sees the role William has taken on — completely by himself. He understands the lonely truth of William’s compassionate and self sacrificing nature beneath the facade, and to this he says, I’m here, I am your friend, and I won’t let you do this by yourself anymore. I won’t let you fall alone.

They are just. Everything. The love is like a physical weight on my chest, I cannot. 😭

Worm Arc 11 Interludes thoughts:
AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Ok. Just in order I think. Sorry for the chaos.
Started off with puppies. I was happy.
Then the puppies started getting a little more violent than needed. I was less happy.
Then Victoria got clowned on a little and I was little bit more happy.
Then the unkillable naked zebra lady showed up everything kinda went downhill. For everyone.
Bitch do not join the supervillain serial killer group, please and thank you.
Seriously though, The Siberian is a bit scary. Just, completely invincible as far as anyone can tell. And super strong.
Theo is having a bad day. And unless someone takes care of Jack Slash for him he's gonna have a bad few years.
Jack Slash is such a poser oh my god. Dude. Come one. You aren't all that.
Also. Jack. Do not toss a loaded baby! That baby had a full diaper. You toss that baby and you are liable to have a containment breach. Speaking from experience, you do not want a containment breach. (Also just don't throw babies of course.)
I hope Theo gets cool powers and is able to become a super amazing hero like he dreams of. On the plus side, probably gonna be lots of opportunities for trigger events coming up. On the minus side, he didn't trigger when Jack Slash was planning on killing him so I don't know if he's gonna be able to.
They were obviously going to go for Labyrinth. She has such amazing powers for mass terror. Though I guess Burnscar never tried to actually recruit her. I assume that was the plan though.
Also Burnscar needs to stop excusing her actions. Just be evil or don't be evil. You don't get to be evil and say it's not your fault (that sure will come up again in these interludes).
I fucking LOVED the description of how Labyrinths powers work. Just the details of everything. So good!
Fucking Colin. Of course they had to go for you. Why can't you just go away and leave my robot daughter alone?
Mannequin is fucking WILD. Like, god damn. Those are sure choices you made. Helps you be creepy as shit though. And get through air vents.
Mannequin writing out "U ME" to Pocketknife Man by laying keyboard keys down on the table one at a time has cursed meet-cute energy.
In the end, Colin survives cause my robot daughter saves him. And I guess she's gonna tell him the truth about being an AI. Fiiiiiiine. I will be polite to Colin if he comes over to dinner. He still needs to apologize to my other daughter though.
Also I'm sure glad the Slaughterhouse Nine won't have any use for the magic pocketknife that can cut through anything that Mannequin took. No worries at all I'm sure. It won't do jack shit for them. Might as well just slash the idea and toss the knife out.
Cool. Some Nazis died. That's great!
Not enough though. Disappointed in Shatterbird.
But if one good thing can come of this whole Slaughterhouse Nine thing, maybe Hookwolf can die. I'm not holding my breath though.
Shatterbird has a very interesting power set. Being specifically glass focused like that. Definitely can see how she would terrorize a city.
Dinah PoV. DINAH POV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok well first off, I obviously hated Coil for Dinah already. Enough that I don't really know if the Dinah PoV can technically make me hate him more. But that said, I hate him more. WTF.
The description of her power was so NEAT though! Had a minor moment of "oh hey this paragraph of this precog talking about her power works inside her head is an almost perfect description of how my brain works" which was wild. I don't actually get to see the future though, which is a major difference.
She can actually just full blow see a possible future holy shit! Wow. Like it hurts and she hates it but it's still crazy.
Also I guessed that Crawler was going to come for Traveler in a Vault (that is Noelle's cape name until I am told different) after the Bitch interlude. I was very happy I got that right since I really knew almost nothing about either.
So Crawler just basically can't die and gets stronger every time he gets hurt. I wonder how long it will take him to reach Endbringer level power?
And Traveler in a Vault is just a large monster that is always hungry and can be driven to the point of eating people. That sucks a lot for her.
Also Leviathan came after her too huh? Well that's probably fine and won't matter in the future.
Regent's sister is worse than he is. That's impressive! Like, not good impressive. But impressive.
Getting real close to the "can't exist" physic power set. I guess it's not quite it though.
She should keep a better eye on her phone battery.
AMY DALLON! I knew it would be you.
I knew you were destined to be a tragedy from the moment I met you. You were always going to become a villain. So once I knew the Nine were recruiting it was a guarantee that you'd be recruited.
Specifically, that you'd be recruited by Bonesaw. She is an artist and obviously she is obsessed over the art you could make together.
Holy shit though that chapter.
Lets see. FUCK CAROL. Victoria gets some excuses, she's a kid, she's following her mom's example, etc. But FUCK CAROL. You are partially responsible for what Amy is about to become.
Despite being terrified, Amy seemed to have a dark fascination with everything Bonesaw was doing and saying. Really listened as Bonesaw explained things.
The more detailed view of what Amy's power does is crazy. She really can do just about anything to someone.
“Why not fix your dad?” is where Bonesaw won. It's about 3/5 of the way through the chapter. And she won at that point. That was the killing blow. The rest of the chapter, the remaining 3.5k or so words, is watching Amy bleed out to drive the point home. It is Panacea's death monologue. It is beautiful and tragic and amazing.
All that said, since she is losing anyway, is it bad for me to want more of Bonesaw's notes? SHE HAS LORE! GIVE IT TO ME!
Dad at least seems pretty good. He made the perfect response after getting healed. Unfortunately she was already gone.
AND THERE IT IS. THERE IS THE THAT FINAL STEP. Fucking rewire your adopted sisters mind to have romantic feelings for you. No you don't get to say it was an accident! You chose to do it. Holy shit Amy. You are going to be an amazing (terrifying) villain.
Callback to Burnscar and blaming her power for her actions.
If Worm was a Disney movie Amy would end up with the best song, 100%. Hellfire or similar levels.

Hi!!! Why is it Henry's manipulation so awful? (Except the whole... Manipulating thing lol)
if you mean canonically/in general, then unfortunately i can't help you there. all i can say on that is Well. It's Henry.
if you mean My headcanons, though...well, buckle up 'cause this'll be long.
so, the way i see it, Henry isn't exactly a master of psychology, but he Is skilled in what i can best describe as Mind Fuckery.
like, basically, the way i write him, his sort of strategy (if you wanna call it that) is to pretty much find an insecurity someone has and then exploit the hell out of it to his advantage in some way (this is kinda based off of his boss fight in Dsaf 3, and what he does to defeat everyone).
and what specific insecurities he chooses to pick at depends on what seems to get under their skin the hardest:
Steven: his death, and the fact that it was basically a "Wrong Place, Wrong Time" sort of deal. it's the fact that Henry really didn't need to kill him; he just could and he did.
Peter: his guilt over what happened to his siblings. he practically lost both of them within a week, and he never really got any form of closure for it. he feels like he failed them both (fun fact: Henry learned this during the time he and Peter worked together. Peter ended up breaking down over it one day and Henry just kinda sat there and pretended to give a shit for fifteen minutes).
Dee: quite literally ANYTHING relating to her death. like, i'm writing a fic, and something that becomes Quite obvious in regards to Dee and Henry is that Dee did not like Henry, much less trust him. she'd generally do whatever she could to get him to stop talking to her and leave her alone. like, she'd generally keep any responses to him short and sweet and just hope that he'd take the hint. a good 90% of the time, he either didn't notice or didn't care (though, let's be real, it's probably the latter). being reminded of how she tried to avoid her untimely death (she tried to stay as far away from Henry on her birthday, to the point where she'd just try to stay on the opposite end of the building) was something that Screwed Her Up.
Blackjack (and perhaps, to an extent, Jack himself): reminders of how he failed (in multiple regards).
Dave: ...i don't even know where to start with this one there's so many-
Jack: Dee's death, and the fact that his family's dead. that Jack can never truly go back to normal, to how things were. to give a Henry quote from the boss fight: "You can never undo what I've done to her, you know."
like, he'd do it pre-Void too, but specifically with Dave and Jack. it was...certainly more effective with Dave. Jack would just snap back at him and tell him to fuck off. it's like, anytime he'd try to exploit their weaknesses, it'd ruin their moods for the rest of the day, but it would definitely be in different ways. Dave would probably just be sad all day, while Jack would just be pissed off and about ready to fight a man.
The Kennedy's Do Not Tolerate Shit From People. None Of Them. this is something Henry unfortunately learned the hard way after hiring Jack.
i'm not 100% good at explaining things, but here's this! :D

Hello Luta! Hope you're doing well :)
I'm wondering if you would kindly spoil the skylove book for me regarding the SA specifically. I'm a bit nervous about the shitty ex finally coming on screen and I'm wondering how/if he interacts with sky again in the present? if you already have talked about this i apologise, i haven't been able to find the post.
xoxo 🌼
Hey Hey 🌼,
I'm doing good thank you! A little backed up at work so bare with me guys.
I'm going to do this and anyone who disagrees can find my unfollow and then block button. Because I will always put the needs of an SA before those who don't like spoilers. When it comes to SA it helps us be less triggered by not being surprised. Maybe you think we shouldn't watch or read stuff but fuck off, nobody asked you. I'm not letting some jack ass control my life to that extent. I will watch what I enjoy. I will just have to take precautions. Like reading the book first, buddy watching, or having people watch ahead for me. So yup, I completely understand 🌼 and I'm here for you.
There will be LITA SPOILERS & TRIGGERS ahead!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's graphic and it isn't pretty. In the story we find out that Sky dated Kan in high school. There is unconsensual S&M play until finally group SA. At which point Kan finally does leave Sky alone but he tells him that he did it because he was bored with him. Which very much crumbles any self confidence that Sky had.
Sky is off Kan's radar until Sky calls to find out about the race. Then once again when Pai starts posting pictures on social media of him and Sky. Because he's proud and wants to broad cast to everyone his boyfriend. It is closer towards the end when Sky ends up in Kan's hands again. Sky comes to see Pai at a race and runs into him, which they (as in another friend) take the opportunity to kidnap him. What's worse is the friend has borrowed Pai's condo keys so takes him there, to which Sky thinks Pai gave him away. Like Kan before.
From the previews it looks like Pai will get there prior to anything happening. In the book, he is not violently hurt again but the ex puts the nipple rings back in and does some nipple touching. Pai, Payu, Rain, and Saifah all come to the rescue. Rain actually makes sure that Kan will never use his balls again, that's if he survives whatever Chai plans to do to him. Needless to say, if his assailants walk away it's not without scars, the inability to ever move correctly, and ptsd. You know the stuff that us SA survivors pray for.
Hope this was helpful 💜💜💜

YOUR ART IS SO PRETTY! :) also as a fellow dsmp/batfam lover I was wondering who would be who if you made an au of the other? (From batfam to dsmp or dsmp to batfam, you can choose!) me personally Tommy gives a bit of Damian,,
Hello hello! Thank you very much ✨✨✨ I’m glad you like my art!
About the DSMP x Batfam AU…. I really had to think this one through. I love both of them, but they have such different character dynamics and ideologies. Even the very worlds they are set in are like complete opposites. However, I have also read like so many (so many) superhero AU fics for the DSMP (before the fandom tag got overwhelmingly oversaturated), so I have some thoughts on…
DSMP Characters as The Batfam
You’re right. c!Tommy does feel like he’d be a good match for Damian. Loves animals? Feral? Stabby? Genuinely good? Artistically-inclined? The youngest? If we’re going by characters traits, Tommy would absolutely be Damian… But if I did that, I’d spend way too much time comparing characters who can’t be compared… So my list is going to be based on vibes. Same vibes are also why I’m choosing to make L’Manberg the main members. I’m completely disregarding age, motivations, personality, etc. This is all (mostly) vibes. There is some justification for them.
I wasn’t able to think of a match for everyone, but I got a decent chunk.
Wilbur as Batman
Fundy as Nightwing
Quackity as Oracle
Tommy as Red Hood
Tubbo as Red Robin
Jack as Spoiler
Niki as Batwoman
Ranboo as Black Bat
Slime as Batgirl 2 (also Cass but specifically Batgirl-era)
Eret as Talia
Philza as Ghostmaker
Kristen as Martha and Thomas
Technoblade as Azrael
Karl and Sapnap as Harley and Ivy (who’s who? Idk)
Dream as the entire Rogue Gallery — every single rogue just compressed into one blob of a man
I felt compelled to draw Tommy as a Robin and Red Hood.
Tumblr media
Notes under the cut. They’re explanations for what little of my thought process can be converted into comprehensible words. It’s long. I ramble A LOT. Read at your own peril.
I’m pretty sure the obvious explanations are Wilbur, Tubbo, Techno, Karl&Sapnap, and Dream.
c!Wilbur is so much like Bruce Wayne — it’s kind of not funny. There’s the obvious “led children to fight a war” thing, the “compulsively acquiring children because they won’t leave him alone” thing, the “becomes evil immediately after crossing the no kill thing” thing, and the “sad little meow meow wet rag of a man but still extremely charismatic” thing…
c!Tubbo and Tim Drake are the closest 1:1 of this entire list.
Okay, okay. c!Techno as Jean-Paul. The vibes are wrong if we’re talking about canon Azrael, but I’m specifically thinking of fanfiction/“goes to family dinners WFA-style” Azrael.
c!Karl and c!Sapnap have such “married anti-villains befriending the heroes” vibes. I love them so much in superpower AUs even when they’re not with c!Quackity. As I’m writing this, I’m remembering that Schlatt and Quackity are also very often written in a Joker x Harley Quinn situation, but we’re talking about Batfam!
Dream is like the caricature of a Gotham Rogue(TM). He’s got the sympathetic motivation sticky noted onto a decades’ worth of terrorism with only the vaguest hope of redemption that he’ll probably never actually get because he’s too popular as a villain. I could make a point for any character interpretation (both fanpn and canon) of c!Dream as Ivy, Penguin, Riddler, Scarecrow, Black Mask, Joker, etc. (also, not a Rogue, but Ra’s too)
The thing about the DSMP is that it almost feels like a reversal of DC. It’s like a mirror, the same solution from a reversed conclusion. That also means DSMP characters appear un-traumatized and naive then get completely fucked over by the sheer horror that is the SMP, meanwhile DC characters appear fresh from traumatized and find themselves in a position to believe in goodness. The late-stage DSMP was filled with isolation while DC heroes always end up in found families.
It’s why I couldn’t think of a proper match for Damian.
What I loved about late-stage c!Tommy is that he keeps (disguises) that hope and love for people despite everything. Meanwhile, Damian’s character development is learning all that from the ground up. The vibes are similar but not the same. Honestly, for a hot second, I considered Purpled as Damian but alas, not enough Purpled content. If I were to project my own timeline of events upon the DSMP, Purpled would make a great Damian-esque match.
But that does not change the fact that Tommy as Red Hood has the best vibes.
No one else is quite as “doomed by the narrative and irreversibly changed yet somehow still painfully compassionate” in the same way Tommy and Jason are (also the “rejecting their father/brother but still loving them unconditionally). Their vibes are truly something.
I’m also very stern in my belief that c!Tommy should never kill because it would negatively impact his character development, but he very very easily could have gone the Red Hood route. By technicality, it’s more like Tommy as Robin 2, but I so dearly love the potential of villain! and anti-villain!Tommy. It’s such an underutilized concept. (Also I wrote a protege AU like way back and it makes me think of Red Hood now lol)
But originally, I flip-flopped between Fundy as Red Hood and Tommy as Nightwing, but I dunno. The logic was there but the vibes weren’t.
If we were considering a timeline of events, Tommy would make a great Robin 1 with Fundy as Robin 2 . Dick Grayson was the OG child hero, much like Tommy. He was angry and craved justice but he was also full of Light. Meanwhile, c!Fundy grew up in Tommy’s shadow.
However, Fundy also has that “if I can’t make them smile, I’ll make them cry” thing that Villain Dick Graysons also tend to have. Dick is always like four steps away from flipping a switch and becoming a supervillain. He tries so fucking hard to do good, but if he ever determines that “being good” isn’t enough to “do good,” he takes over the world. But Dick would also like step away from toxic energy by holing himself up in his apartment filled with depression, which is exactly what Fundy did.
Fundy and Dick are more “blood-soaked wet cats with strained smiles and bowling alley carpet polos” and Tommy and Jason are more “dramatic Greek tragedies.”
The Batgirls and adjacent female Bat vigilantes came to me immediately, but it’s not as long as the above.
Quackity as Barbara Gordon. He followed Wilbur filled with Hope and Justice. Quackity makes an excellent Batgirl 1. His Las Nevadas arc would then be Oracle but Lawful Evil and also completely isolated from any friends, family, or rational support. Quackity isn’t inherently bad. He still has good intentions, and he’s still good at heart, irregardless of how he portrays himself. He’s the classic femme fatale, including the whole sexist Hollywood “he needs a strong male love interest to take care of him” thing because he is absolutely spiraling on his own. Anyway, I am a fiancés shipper, so this would lead to a Birds of Prey-esque team up of LN and Kinoko.
Jack Manifold has Stephanie Brown’s “glitter bomb in the face” and “functions entirely on spite but also is just really tired of being hurt” energy. Jack isn’t quite Stephanie, but his dynamic with Tubbo made me consider him as Spoiler. Also consider: Jack and The Nuke being Steph’s Robin 4 arc.
Slime is so much like Batgirl-era Cassandra. There’s a lot of “innocent vs naive, manipulated by those with intentions, both evil and morally just” going on. Batgirl!Slime and RH!Tommy would have such a dynamic. I think about Fort Big a lot.
It is literally a crime that c!Jack Manifold and c!Slime never interacted in the DSMP.
Ranboo as Black Bat. I don’t know how to explain it, but Tim Drake and Cassandra have such a great dynamic (albeit one that I’m only familiar with in fanfics). I was originally going to say Ranboo as Orphan, but I don’t think he’s quite there. Maybe GhostBoo as Orphan.
Speaking of ghosts, GhostBur as Carrie Kelley’s Robin. He’s in the wrong places at the wrong times and (unknowingly) shoves himself in situations, and he’s got that unfair “why” going on during Doomsday. Unfortunately, GhostBur suffers from memory loss and is often willfully ignorant. I think in an AU space where’s he’s an actual character and not the echo of an idea, he’d make a great elseworld-type Robin.
c!Niki is a WLW revolutionary war veteran with a very close relationship with Wilbur. There’s more, but again, Vibes.
Now here’s where my hot takes truly lie: Philza as Ghostmaker and Eret as Talia.
We all like Dadza but c!Phil? Absolutely not a Dad. If you actually look at c!Phil without the rose-tinted lens of his content creator’s dad energy, c!Phil and Ghostmaker aere weirdly similar? I really don’t know how to explain it exactly, but I think that Phil would have brought Wilbur up as like this weird amalgamation of BTK-era Bruce, Phantom One, and Clownhunter, leading to Wilbur eventually being… not abandoned because Phil wanted Wilbur to have more independence… but struggling to make it on his own. Eventually, Wilbur would follow his parents’ (Mumza would be Martha AND Thomas) footsteps and become something that’s essentially the same but different. Like how Ghostmaker is basically Tynion’s Batman OC but somehow more edgy except Wilbur is in the opposite direction. Like how Martha and Thomas saved people through philanthropy and surgery and Bruce wanted to save people in his own way too. Phil and Kristen influenced Wilbur towards fighting crime… Also I could totally see c!Phil becoming a crime fighter as a fun and challenging art form rather than any genuine interest in being a good person. c!Phil’s got that immortal dilemma where he’s basically a sociopath running purely on an ingrained and steadily eroding moral code.
Now… Eret as Talia. Where do I begin? I love Talia. She’s such a badass but also she’s a kind person who believes in Bruce’s cause but she’s also extremely loyal to her father’s cause but she loves her family so much but she’s also a assassin princess but the world is against her and everything she is will only continue going downhill until she either becomes straight up evil or stands her ground. I love the characterization of Talia who chose to side with “the greater good” against the person she loves and more has to live with the burden of this decision for the rest of her life and continue to do what needs to be done even, for better or worse… Did I say Talia? I meant Eret. Wait, no, it’s both. That applies to both. Talia’s choice is betraying Bruce to aid her in running a global assassin cult and killing people. Eret’s choice is betraying his revolution to run a monarchy and enforcing taxes. Yes, the vibes are the same.
This has been my TED talk. Thank you for reading this far.

“davey is, i would say, an evermore girlie. he so is. specifically champagne problems.” sorry, i don’t make the rules, ryan does, so please blame him. also shoutout to @anotherdaveyjacobs for reading!! as always you’re the best 🫶
your heart was glass, i dropped it.
he stands frozen, trying to process the scene in front of him - jack, on one knee, staring up at him with hopeful eyes. if this was a movie, he’d say yes and jack would sweep him off his feet as they began to celebrate the rest of their life together.
but this isn’t a movie. “i - ” he feels his chest tighten, the word yes stuck to his lips, refusing to come out. he shakes his head, as tears fall from his eyes. he feels sick, watching jack’s world shatter around him. davey never thought he would be the one to hurt him like this. “i am so sorry.”
he doesn’t stay -  he can’t stay, so he makes his way towards the door, clenching his fists as his nails dig into his sweaty palms. he’s tempted to take one final look at jack, but this isn’t how he wants to remember the first person who had broken down his walls, and let him feel loved like this.
it’s the right thing, he tells himself, as the cool air hits his skin. it's then, that he realises how entwined their lives are, and how he has no friends to turn to. he takes his phone out of his pocket, debates calling katherine, before he switches it off, and places it back in his pocket. he doesn’t have it in him to disappoint anyone else.
**
how evergreen, our group of friends. don't think we'll say that word again.
davey’s always hated smoking, a bad habit that he picked up in college when he was stressed over deadlines and living off of too little money. he’s been smoking more these past few weeks, ignoring the sad look in his sister’s eye as he steps outside for a cigarette. if she wants to say something, she doesn’t. he feels like there’s eggshells surrounding him, and everyone’s tiptoeing around him.
he’s taking a drag of his last cigarette outside of sarah’s apartment complex, when he sees a familiar face. his heart fills with dread, as he makes eye contact with none other than racetrack higgins. davey tries to brace himself for what comes next - to be shouted at in the middle of the street for breaking his - their - best friend’s heart? he deserves that. a punch maybe? he’d deserve that as well.
instead, race stands across from him, looking at him with a pitiful stare. it somehow hurts more.
“it’s better this way,” he says, filling the silence. he knows what they’re all thinking, how he’s fucked everything up. and he has, davey knows he has, just like he always does. but someone like him was never going to be good enough for jack, and the sooner jack realised, the better.
“or is it just easier for you?” race asks. “look, i’m not here for excuses so you can make yourself feel better about what you did.”
davey flicks the cigarette, biting the inside of his cheek. how their friends must despise him. he hates himself too.
“can i ask you something?” race asks, and davey shakes his head. “did you ever even love him?”
“you know i did,” he answers, blinking the unshed tears away. “i loved him more than i loved anything in my life.”
he remembers his mother once telling him “it’s better to have loved and lost, than not to have loved at all.” it hadn’t made sense to him at the time, and it makes even less sense to him now. davey loves and has loved, with his entire heart, and has lost in the worst way possible.
“it’s not too late to change things davey,” race says, surprising him. race gives him a final nod, and shoves his hands in his pockets, leaving davey alone with his thoughts.
“davey?” he hears from above, and when he looks up, he can see sarah looking down at him from her living room window. “davey, you’ll catch a cold out there. come inside.”
davey stubs the remainder of his cigarette, and looks off into the direction that race had walked in, lost in the busy street.
it’s not too late. race’s words hang in the air, but davey knows he’s wrong. he’s left nothing but the shards of a future behind for the boy he would never stop loving. there’s no fixing that.

COULD YOU TELL ME ABOUT YOUR EEAU?!!! I AM SO VERY CURIOUS!!!
I ABSOLUTELY CAN AHHHHHHH I HAVE SO MANY THOUGHTS ABOUT IT ALWAYS. Premise is that after Dream blows up Logsteadshire, instead of leaving Tommy alone, he suggests to Tommy that they start over somewhere new. He leads Tommy to an even more remote location that this time no one knows about (not that Tommy’s aware of it) and after asking Tommy if it would be less painful if no one was allowed to visit him rather than having them constantly reject him by not showing up, and Tommy agreeing, he like. Bans people from visiting Tommy. This is not, however, what he tells the rest of the SMP - he actually doesn’t say anything for a bit because he’s busy destroying other teenagers lives (Doomsday also holy fuck i am so normal about eeau!tubbo or honestly just c!tubbo in general) but then after Doomsday of course Tubbo goes and discovers the annihilated Logsteadshire and like runs back and Dream insinuates that Tommy killed himself which definietly doesn’t devestate or at least shake up many people. But then people start talking and realize that like. Dream’s been manipulating and lying to them all this whole time and pitting them against each other. Philza in particular is like ‘why did we leave Tommy with the man who constantly expressed his dislike for him/set out to ruin his life’ and everyone was like . fair point. Queue manhunt for Dream where Dream loses his two lives and all of his allies and in a cruel twist of fate ends up with only Tommy for company!! Because stockholm syndrome babey :)))))) Plans backfired immensely for this man. (I did not forget about Punz well I did but then I figured out a way for him not to be there which is a WHOLE OTHER STORY basically Dream tried to manipulate purpled who went Nuh Uh and tattled to punz so punz fucked off and spat in dreams face on the way out)
QUEUE A YEAR LATER Ghostbur stumbles across Tommy in his secret exile spot (Henburgh) as Ghostbur has been searchign for Tommy’s ghost ever since he learned that he died. Eventually Ghostbur forgot he wsa looking for Tommy’s ghost and was just fixated on that he was looking for Tommy. Tommy however is scared of what Dream might do to Ghostbur/to him if he sees Ghostbur or finds out he was here, since he’s technically not allowed any visitors, so he sends Ghostbur away on an impossible quest. Ghostbur leaves him a small bit of blue that he then hides bc he can’t bring himself to throw it away, but unforunately nothing escapes Dream’s grasp for long and he notices :))))) It does not end well for Tommy, time for Logsteadshire pt 2. DURING THE TWO MONTHS THAT PASSED SINCE GHOSTBURS VISIT Wilbur is revived by Philza and Technoblade bc hella guilt and also Kristin hinted to Phil that Wilbur could come back and so Phil took the opprotunity. Wilbur however! Does not remember his time as ghostbur aside from very vague feelings and a couple blurry memories! But he feels VERY STRONGLY that there’s something important to the southeast of Techno’s cabin, and eventually that feeling grows so strong that he starts getting really anxious and upset about the fact he can’t go, so Techno offers to check it out fully expecting to find nothing. Only to stumble across Dream being HORRIFIC to Tommy during Logsteadshire Pt 2 and prompty going Oh Fuck No and bringing Tommy back to recover at the cabin.
Tommy does NOT appreciate this, and immediately demands to be taken back to Henburgh. Techno does not oblige. Tommy makes his displeasure clear but also mans now Traumatized as all hell so he also does jack shit to actually oppose the rest of the SBI. QUEUE FAMILY BONDING TIME AND SLOW HEALING. IT TAKES A LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT AND THERES OF COURSE MORE SHIT BUT I DONT KNWO IF I WANNA SPOIL IT CAUSE I AM WRITING THE FIC. But the main fic ends with Tommy having not fully completed his healing but having made progress in mending his relationships w his family and friends, specifically SBI and beeduo, and like starting to realize and come to terms that what he went through was wrong but it wasn’t his fault, and decide that he wants to fight to be better again. I’m definitely so normal about all of his healing arcs and the way he slowly starts to recover from his trauma and find himself again and discover that life is worth living and that love doesn’t have to hurt I’m really fucking normal. I could talk about this for hours I in fact have talked about it for hours with my sibling (shoutout to them for listening) there are so many details to all of this i thikn about it constantly I am packing so much symbolism into this baby it will be my magnum opus if i can ever fucking finish it
#the ducks quacked about something#a question!! :o#dsmp eeau#THE SYMBOLISM OF THE HOUSE THE SYMBOLISMMMMMMMMMMMMM#EACH OF THEIR HOUSES ARE VERY FUCKING IMPORTRANT AND SO VIVID TO ME#WHAT IT SAUYS ABOUT THEIR CHRACTERS. IM DEFINITELY CASUAL#also the way ghostbur was so bad about communicating but only agreed to be revived if they made revivebur care about completing the quest#tommy gave him (he did not explain it that way so they promptly did not tell revivebur but HE TRIED SO HARD TO NOT LEAVE TOMMY AGAIN)#EEAU WILBUR IS ANOTHER CHARACTER IM SO NORMAL ABOUT#wilbur and tommy really shaking hands on the affects of solitary isolation#oh also wilbur was in limbo for 50 years in this au due to the timeframe :))))))))))))#he is an old creaky man#THE GUILT TUBBO CARRIES AROUND ALWAYS AND THE GUILT RANBOO CARRIES AROUND ALWAYUS AND THE FACT NEITHER OF THEM TALK ABOUT IT TO EACH OTHER#I just really cannot let people be happy huh#IT GETS HAPPY AT THE END COMMUNICATION OCCURS BETWEEN MANY DIFFERENT PEOPLE#also we get awesamdad content but how we get it is kinda spoilers so i can’t explain rn T-T#ALSO TECHNO AND PHILS GUILT AND DESPERATION AND HOW THEY FEEL LIKE THE FAILED AND RRRRRHGHGHHRH#SBI are not bio family but all grew up in the same household as a family but Phil was not a great dad :)) but it wasn’t exactly his fault#hybrid shit vs human shit. he did not realize some of the differences#also how limbo works which i’ve talked a bit about before#ALSO THE DEITY SYSTEM WHIC I AM STILL FIGURING OUT AND ITS GIVING ME A HEADACHE#no dreamon activity in this au just dream being a shitty person because i think that holds more weight#dream is also so interesting me but in a villain character way#okay shutting up now which is so hard i have so much for this au i need to just WRITE IT#also i saw ur other ask it’s late for me but i absolutely want to draw that!!!! instant inspiration reading it#OH EDIT IMPORTANT NOT REVIVEBUR IS VERY DIFFERENT FROM CANON#HES MUCH MORE LIKE WILBUR BEFORE THE WAR(S)#hes chill and finallly on medication for his hella anxiety

Okay, I’m going to start the analysis off by saying that I do really love the crime boys in this. They have such and interesting and fucked up dynamic. Their little sneaking in and being clingy was very cute. That being said, I am very glad we get another chapter where Wilbur is isolated from Tommy for the biggest chunk of it. It kinda feels like a breath of fresh air. Especially with the fight and how much Tommy pushed last chapter. And this time it’s not spend with Niki, rather, the majority of the chapter is spent with Phil which 1. SANDDUO and 2. Is very interesting for analysis because we’ve only gotten a few conversations with them and those where very interesting. And now we got basically a full chapter.
Again, the sneaking-in had me stressed, more so than any previous sneaking because of the chapter summary. Something was going to go wrong. I was just sitting there reading with “they are going to get caught” on repeat in my head. And the further they get the more stressed I got because surely they would get caught. But rest assured, Phil was just waiting for the dramatic entrance in Wilbur’s room. This literally feels like a coming-of-age movie where the teen gets caught sneaking back in. It’s like waiting in the dark in the middle of the night to flick the lights back on.
And this is where things get fun (for us, the characters are having a Time). So on the first read, it feels like Phil is starting at Wikbur because he’s either angry and trying to figure out if this was somehow his idea or trying to get why he came back by looking alone. And the second read it’s clear that he’s probably very pointedly starting at the blood on his face and trying to stay calm because there could be so many explanations, but it’s not a good sign. I wonder if Tommy noticed the blood at any point.
Then we get the question fire while Phil is taking no prisoners. It’s also very clear that he’s pinning his anger entirely on Tommy. He knows his damn kid is a trouble makers. Angry/disappointed father mode has been activated. And the questions have 3 functions though the main one is
1. Damage assessment. Figuring out what happened a a how much danger it put them in. This is mainly the [“Where did you go?”] sequence and definitely the [“Did anyone follow you back?”] sequence. Phil’s trying to figure out how fucked they are and of course, our boys are dumb enough to lie about someone seeing Wilbur which is the one actual threat they should definitely tell Phil about. But that would get them (Tommy) into more trouble and mean admitting that it was a bad idea.
2. I think Phil is also trying to estimate how aware Tommy was of the danger and how many risks he took. In a way, it would have been less bad if it was just a stupid thing he did not realising that risks, but it’s not. Tommy was fully aware of the risks and he made the conscious decision to put everyone in danger because he Thought it would be fine. It very clearly shows that he hasn’t learned shit from the Jack situation. He’s actively getting worse. And it’s so interesting to see Tommy trying to double down and defend himself. His only argument is that he knew it would be fine. He doesn’t see that that’s the issue. And he doesn’t get that Phil keeps asking about the safety measurements because Tommy broke his trust so now he can’t be trusted at all.
And then there’s 3. And this one wasn’t realise the goal, but it’s something Phil is trying to put together regardless. It’s if Wilbur is staying willingly. And Phil already knew he got a chance and didn’t take it, but it’s different from literally taking him out. And I think Phil might have realise what Tommy was trying to do. He specifically asks [“At any point in the night, did you leave him alone?”]. It’s again seeing how much risk Tommy took and raises the question of why Wilbur is here if he had an easy chance to leave (which Phil sounds the rest of the chapter trying to figure out).
Honestly, that entire conversation is just Tommy digging himself a deeper hole and I kinda hope they keep him separated from Wilbur a bit longer. Maybe that will make him realise his mistake. Either way, he finally gets some consequences, because the previous once clearly weren’t good enough. I wonder if Phil and Techno will have to start the damn night watch again because of this.

you get me yes glass!crimeboys is so fucked up but they're very sweet at the same time. it's exactly what you said. they were literally sneaking in like mischievous children only for phil to be waiting like in teen movies when the kid walks into the living room and turns on the light and dad's just sitting in the chair with his hands folded in front of him lmao
I was so excited to write this chapter for the sandduo dynamic. I've been wanting to show them interacting more for ages now but I had to wait until they were both at a point where it felt realistic for them to have these kinds of conversations. it's all about that pacing, yknow?
actually phil didn't notice the blood immediately. at first he was staring at wilbur because he was trying to figure out if tommy had dragged him back unwillingly or something like that, but because he was staring at him so intently, he then noticed the blood and immediately zeroed in on it. tommy did not notice the blood though, because wilbur's hair was covering that part of his face for the most part. trust me, if tommy had noticed the blood he would've said something
yeah. phil knows his kid. he knows this is tommy's fault lmao. he wanted to focus on the most pressing issues first, which of course starts out with the danger assessment to see how fucked they are. while it is partly worse that tommy knew full well what the risks were and went for it anyway, in a way it's a bit of a relief for phil because at least tommy is aware of that stuff. he's just making stupid choices with that knowledge, but he knows what he's doing. that also pisses phil off more though.
as the convo went on phil fully realized what tommy was doing with wilbur. and he's not happy, but when he learns that wilbur willingly stayed, that makes him reconsider some things. which then sets the tone for the rest of the chapter, because phil wants to figure out why. why would wilbur choose to stay? what's going on in his head? he knows there's a lot more to the pythia than what meets the eye and that he's got some issues he's struggling to work through, but he doesn't really get it until this chapter. because now he has solid evidence that the pythia doesn't want to go back to the palace, so phil has reason to find out why that is.

11, 12 16, 19 for your guys! (i just saw the Charater ask post) (‘jackdaw)
Hi jack my head has been empty this whole time i am finally trying to answer these. you also asked some hard questions lol
11. If someone was impersonating them, what would friends / family ask or do to tell the difference?
i realize the heart of this question is actually really "what would make them seem ooc?" For Lemel, it would be not appreciating a dad-joke, calling Tevane "Tevane" in any situation less serious than life-or-death, using (derogatory) toward Tev, and not wanting to touch the potentially dangerous new thing. For Tev, it would be not defaulting to formal speech/generally using slang unironically (he mostly uses slang in situations where he can butcher it on purpose to make everyone mad), not picking up after himself or anyone else, literally any form of solo dancing, being very opinionated (when sober).
12. What’s something that makes them laugh every single time? Be specific!
i can't be specific man, that's too specific. Lemel likes dad jokes, as mentioned, as well as similarly goofy pranks like updog. You can usually get Tev by saying something absurd and unexpected (not the same thing as blurting out completely random irrelevant things). The literal only specific example I can think of is a scene where he's having a fairly serious discussion with Lemel but they abruptly make a related innuendo and he corpses instantly. I will not get more specific than this. Also he only busts out laughing like that for good friends, the exact same joke told by like a coworker or smth would just irritate him.
16. What kinds of people do they have arguments with in their head?
Lemel grew up arguing with their older sister. And their teachers. And their classmates. And their mom. They will argue with anyone, for fun even, so you can only imagine what it's like in their imagination. Brennan Lee Mulligan I Will Die On Any Hill dot jpeg. Don't they get tired? Debatable. Extremely debatable. Ranges from critical reviewers on their research to annoying people in the comment section to imaginary Snatcher and Moonjumper about leaving Tevane alone.
Tevane's internal arguments mostly are with himself tbh. It's most frequently Tevane vs Depression Tevane, ngl.
19. What would they do if stuck in a room with the person they’ve been avoiding?
Depends on the reason for avoidance. If it's an avoidance situation like with Tevane in chapter 14 where they're trying to cut ties on purpose, they just are super fucking awkward while trying to pretend they don't care. If they're avoiding someone because they fucking hate that person, idk man, they will probably start a fight bc they were avoiding that person to stop themself from starting a fight. Lemel's not really an avoidant person per se because if they know there's a problem with someone, they either want to continue having that problem (i.e. they hate you) or they want to stop having the problem (i.e. they like you) and actually can get kind of annoying about trying to figure out how to solve the problem if the other person wants to keep avoiding it. If they are behaving avoidantly, they are in denial about having a problem at all, which I feel is a different nuance.
Similarly, if Tevane is avoiding someone because he hates them, it's like the other person doesn't fucking exist, the man does not need a phone to ghost you. If it's guilty avoidance like with Hat Kid, then he'll cowgirl up and deal with the situation, so honestly, you're more likely to get a heart to heart with him with this tactic.

🔥1, 7, 24?
the character everyone gets wrong
I answered this one already, but I'll take another stab at it wrt a particular element of Hannibal's character. Specifically, his response to feeling vulnerable or heartbroken in canon is either to lash out violently (as in Mizumono), attempt to regain his sense of control in some fashion (i.e. his attempt to eat Will's brain in Dolce - yes, Bedelia talked him into that, but it wouldn't have been persuasive if it hadn't spoken to pre-existing impulses), or manipulate (the amount of passive aggressive needling he does to Will throughout season 3B).
Which is to say, I'm not against Hannibal having emotions or feeling vulnerable in fic, but I often find him to be much too mellowed out and too outwardly vulnerable. When he loves someone the way he loves Will, and the way he loved Mischa, it makes him feel out of control, and he needs control and tries to project that outwards at all times. And even in a post-canon scenario, where he likely trusts Will and feels more confident in Will's affection for him than he does throughout 3B, I don't see him dropping the habit of masking physical and emotional pain. And he's definitely not going to ~own his feelings~ and take responsibility for them, lol.
(My most recent fic - No Second Troy - was actually in part an exercise in writing a vulnerable Hannibal that felt right to me, in which he feels insecure in his relationship with Will and is sort of internally flopping around sadly about that, but does NOT show (or, uh, tries not to show) that sad flopping to Will or at all communicate in a healthy manner about that.)
what character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how how the fandom acts about them?
I genuinely do not hate most characters on this show - my attitude towards the ensemble cast is generally "I love everyone in this bar."
That said - MATTHEW FUCKING BROWN.
Absolute nothingburger of a dude who has a philosophy towards murder that, according to the aesthetic ethics of this show, can only be described as "vulgar" (this dude doesn't even grasp that life is precious, something even HANNIBAL understands) and who Will doesn't even seem to like or respect much. Boring and unpleasant dude all around, and yet gets such an outsized amount of adulation.
(And yeah, I'll admit, I'm petty, because his fanon role, whether vis-a-vis Will or alone, is always a role I want to see other characters put into - Will's gay tryst outside of Hannibal? Jack is right there and has an actual developed relationship with Will in canon. Will influencing someone else vis-a-vis murder? Chiyoh is right there, complete with Hannigram parallels! A minor character who only shows up for a few episodes getting a ton of fanon attention? Give it to Miriam pls. Anyway I'll leave that because this is the most wanky I've gotten in these answers.)
topic that brings up the most rancid discourse
Anything to do with Will's neurodivergence is bound to do this (whether the prescriptivism as to how you headcanon him, OR the straight-up ableism in how people talk about him).
I've also seen a lot of takes on Abigail that uhhh.... REALLY demonstrate a lack of understanding of the psychology of abuse (even, I'd argue, when taking genre conventions into account). Let's just leave it at that.

Ok, time for another tangent. Eridan deserved better.
He may have been genocidal and a bit of a jerk, but honestly I can't help but feel bad for him because of the amount of bad things that happened to him
He was pretty much rejected by everyone and nobody bothered to listen to him or give him any sympathy, which led to him not only killing Feferi (his crush) and Kanaya (the only troll he considered a friend), but also dooming his race. Eventually, that led to getting him killed. Later, as Erisolsprite, he regretted his actions and tried to apologize to Fefetasprite (specifically, the feferi part) for what he did. But it just blows up in his face (literally), and we never know if feferi forgave him or not. After that, Eridan is pretty much forgot about and doesn't appear much outside of random cameos and mentions. It's honestly kinda sad that we don't see more of him.
thank you all for coming to my eridan ted talk
People really forget that he was a teen who was afraid of dying at the hands of Bec Noir, the guy who has insane space powers that was able to go far to kill their Dream Selves. That's how strong Jack was. Around him, he didn't see progress being made to stop him. If it involved the kids, Eridan would not have known about that since he was not as close to them compared to someone like Karkat, Kanaya, Terezi, or Vriska. The trolls that were talking to them, didn't also seem like they were to share information about their plans either. It was all hush hush. Even Feferi was quiet about the Dream Bubbles safety measure afterlife and assured everyone it was going to be okay. Eridan could only see two options. Just lay down and die, never to see the new universe and admit all they have done was for nothing. Or surrender and hope that Jack will spare their lives to delay death just a little longer. The former option also wounded his pride because the trolls had to skip everything about their quest on their planets to reach for the final boss before their prize was claimed. So it would hurt that him leaving his destroyed home planet behind, rushing to fight the Black King, only to be stopped by someone else so suddenly and thrown to an isolated area far from their original destination, it would make anyone ask WHAT THE FUCK. Could you blame Karkat for trusting Jack Noir? Could you blame Vriska for making Jack into Bec Noir? Blame Aradia for finding the Sgrub game? Blame Sollux for coding it? Eridan might not have known all the details about what was going on, so he's just left there to question everything and his anxiety eats at him every second. Despite his faults and flaws, Eridan was a kid who had sat on a high spot because of his highblood privilege. But upon going through Sgrub, he would learn the harsh truth that his status was thrown out the window as a bigger danger arrives. One that he saw that nobody was taking a chance to do something about it or were waiting too long for someone else to fix it. Eridan was all alone and didn't know who to turn to or confide his concerns when they were all busy with something else. I would have loved to see him that an arrogant douche that started out as a villain, would slowly get better. But I suppose his death is better than letting him live to become something worse like what the characters have after Post Retcon.

42 for your Wrapped!
Tumblr media
who's that kid who wakes each night,
and takes me on these wretched rides?
(song number 42 in my playlist is kitchen fork by jack conte :] the whole song rly just gives me. meadowmoon vibes, who's the cat in this Drawing! its a bit confusing 2 explain for non wc fans but ill just say that uhhhhhh. starclan is sort of like the clan's afterlife and considered a very. Important Thing. in my stories, starclan. disappears. after the Murder of shadowclan's leader cedarstar. and after that point, no one is able to contact starclan. and everyone is terrified. but then!!!!!! meadowmoon, a former loner turned medicine cat after being captured by windclan, turns out to be the clans one (1) connection to starclan. at first meadowpaw is like oh!! this is cool!!! im important!!!!!!!! but. it starts to become too much. starclan is constantly reaching out to her, she sees ghosts and spirits everywhere, clanmates and people from the other clans are using her to reach out to their deceased relatives (such as a father talking to meadowmoon to contact his dead kits, or a kit trying to talk to their deceased sibling). starclan starts to give her prophecies and send omens and it gets to a point where she snaps. and she screams at the moon (which, to the clans, is a sign that starclan is. watching. full moons are important, nights where the skies are clear and the stars are visible are important) and basically tells starclan to Fuck Off and Leave Her and her Family and her Mate And Clan Alone. it doesnt work, though. because of course it doesnt.)
((anyways the reason WHY i drew meadowmoon specifically is bc kitchen fork, the song, rly just. encapsulates meadowmoon's trauma and her anger at starclan and her breakdowns and. Very Poor Emotional state. theres a lot of screaming in the song and. idk how else to put it. it just rly sounds like Anger!!!!! screaming!!!! so mad!!!!!!!! so..... Sad!!!!!!!!!!! emotional!!!!!!!!!!! best way i can describe it. i feel like it just captures all of meadowmoon's pent up emotions, her anxiety about trying to do what's right but unwillingness to put her foot (paw) down and say "no, i don't want to do this anymore!!!!". she wants to make people happy, but doesnt want to stand up for herself when it becomes too much. its all just Too Much for her.))
(((oh, and also, her father is a serial killer.)))

I find it so funny that the latest stream was ENTIRELY improvised by Tommy and his fans yet it works EERILY WELL as a nightmare of c!Tommy's. Like, genuinely, it's so fucking easy to see it as one it’s hilarious. Like, each of the realms in sequence can be interpreted as such. Obviously, this was completely unintentional. However, it’s hilarious, so I analysed it. This is all for fun don’t take it seriously!!! I just think it’s a hysterical joke to apply analysis to places it makes no sense to.
The First Realm
Here, one of the first things that Tommy steals is a disc- specifically, Cat, one of c!Tommy's music discs. Throughout this, he manipulates someone into trusting him, seeing him as a superior to themselves, and destroys their home and everything they hold dear. This, in the context of a c!Tommy nightmare sequence, is obviously him dreaming about being Dream during exile- being everyone he doesn’t want to be.
The Second Realm
Here, Tommy commits more destruction- specifically targeting items. He plays Dream's speedrun music and compares himself to him. Again, this is c!Tommy believing he is everyone that he doesn’t want to be again.
The Third Realm
Here, Tommy meets an Among Us maid girl named Taemilkiss. Immediately, she shears him, taking out a pair of shears- and let's think, where have we seen shears used in the Dream SMP? c!Ponk losing his arm, which c!Tommy doesn’t know about much… and as a torture implement towards c!Dream. Combined with being taken down to and locked in a crying obsidian prison, I think this bit might be c!Tommy's trauma around the prison, both what it represents as a whole and also his specific trauma around being locked in here- which would be reinforced by Tae beating him to death once he tries to leave.
From here, things seem to calm down a bit- until Tommy finds Mellohi (incidentally, the other disc he didn’t find earlier) and Tae chases him down. This is obviously c!Tommy's trauma around the Disc Wars popping up again. The ending, however, shows him triumphing- but then, it is revealed he is the villain all along. Perhaps c!Tommy thinks his own self defence is unjustified?
The Fourth Realm
Immediately upon joining this realm, Tommy is introduced to a religion by a green man named Stuphet. This is an obvious reference to him and c!Dream founding Church Prime. At first, things seem normal- symbolising c!Prime's initial positive relationship- but soon things are revealed to be off and strange.
When Tommy disobeys, Stuphet reveals himself to be so powerful Tommy cannot even trust him, and threatens to remove his privileges if he continues misbehaving. He then takes Tommy to “play” on the trampoline, but deliberately hurts him on at least one occasion. This is, clearly, a blurry recollection of exile arc.
When Tommy breaks free and destroys things, Stuphet is unphased, and takes Tommy to duel with him. Dressed in netherite armour, he looks near identical to Dream from certain angles. Tommy barely wins- and this is the Disc Finale, but through the eyes of a c!Tommy that feels so alone he remembers himself the outnumbered one.
And the ending, as he himself points out, is c!Wilbur leaving him. More specifically, considering the Titanic references, it’s interesting it places him as Jack specifically. Does c!Tommy believe that c!Wilbur might have died on the way to Utah? Or does he perhaps think he was lying about not committing suicide? Either way, the fact he also drowns is interesting. Is c!Tommy hurting himself in his sleep again?
The Last Realm
This one is obvious. Remembering Exile vividly, c!Tommy wakes up panicked. Of course, there’s also something to be said about the fact c!Wilbur also appeared to be there- is he perhaps scared and upset he knows about exile, did he not want to reveal that to him?- and the giant pixel art of himself- is this representing his belief that this is his place, somehow?

Jaime’s Our Flag Means Death Fanfiction
I’ve written a bunch of Our Flag Means Death fanfiction since watching the show for the first time earlier this year, and I realized it’s way past time to make a round-up post listing it all! Read on if you’re interested in some short stories about Edward Teach fucking and sucking and experiencing emotions. (The majority of them center around him and Stede being adorable, but Izzy and Jack also make some appearances in the angstier ones, and then I surprised even myself by writing an Izzy/Roach one most recently too!)
Sounds kind of dumb when I say it, but it's true: I would do anything for you - Ed/Stede The first one I wrote not long after finishing the show! A short and sweet first time for Ed and Stede. (Along with a lot of my other ones, this one takes place after a vague and non-specific reunion of some kind. I wasn’t personally interested in writing the details of how they find each other again and resolve their issues—I’ll leave that for the show!—so just assume everyone is mostly fine and don’t worry about it.)
I hope it stays dark forever, I hope the worst isn't over - Ed/Izzy In contrast to the cuteness of the first one, this one is pretty dark and involves Ed getting a very sad bad blowjob from Izzy. Enjoy!
Want to do something weird? - Ed/Stede Ed and Stede swap outfits again—this time for some (very mild and light-hearted) consensual non-consent roleplay in which Stede plays the role of Blackbeard and vice versa. This one is pretty funny honestly I think.
Restless Nights - Ed/Stede A two-parter with a time skip in between, in which there is Only One Bed! In chapter one, Ed and Stede awkwardly share a bed early in their acquaintance, with Ed being inconveniently turned on by it and Stede being super oblivious. Then chapter two picks up with them in a relationship, sharing the bed habitually on purpose, and reflecting on how much things have changed since then. This one has the most kudos of any of my works on Ao3 so far, so it comes highly recommended by the only-one-bed-lovers of that website! Also features a little bit of soft dom Stede.
Beach Episode - Ed/Stede This was the 69th fic I ever posted on Ao3, so you can absolutely guess what happens in it. Also features from backstory for Ed’s knee injury thanks to resident kinesiology expert @the-girl-with-the-algebra-book!
Let them kiss you and hold you tight, as long as the money's right - Ed/Jack (plus brief Ed/OC and then a cute Ed/Stede epilogue) Angst with a happy ending about young Ed doing sex work and then having a bad relationship with Calico Jack, which he goes on to have a sweet conversation about with Stede at the end. This one comes with my fiancé’s seal of approval—he’s been gradually reading through all these after catching up on the show more recently, and he says this one is his favourite so far because it has the best emotional throughline. And if you need any more encouragement to read it, Calico Jack gets punched in the face during sex!
You're the sun that makes me shine - Ed/Stede In a lot of my other fic, I tend to write Ed as a bottom because of the irresistible parallels to the “run me through” scene. But for this one I decided to switch it up and write about Stede’s first time bottoming instead! Another very short and sweet one.
Silk and Smoke - Ed/Stede In this slightly silly one, Ed and Stede smoke some weed and jack each other off. Also features Lucius walking in on them, and Ed being kind of into that.
What makes Ed happy? - Ed/Jack, Ed/Izzy, and then Ed/Stede over three separate parts I posted this as a series rather than one three-chapter work, since each part can be read as stand-alone if you’d prefer, but as a whole it explores how Ed changes over three different points in his life. It’s got motifs and everything! The middle one with Izzy gets pretty dark, but as this is Izzy Hands we’re talking about, really you can be pretty sure that he’s into it.
If it's blood you want, I've got plenty of it—you're gonna love it - Izzy/Roach primarily but there’s some Ed/Izzy in there too Finally, I got inspired by seeing some good tumblr posts about the ship to write some Izzy/Roach! So in my most recent fic, Izzy gets injured, Roach has to sew up his wound, and Izzy is unexpectedly into it. Ed is there too because I love him!
Thanks for reading this post, and I hope you enjoy my fic if you check some out! I’m sure I’ll be writing more soon :)
