SPEE UPDATE✨

Update for Silent Pain in Emerald Eyes.

I have been working on chapter 7 (on Ao3 it’s technically chapter 8), and we’re currently looking at about 5k words for this chapter!!

I’m so…I don’t know, excited doesn’t even do justice for what I’m feeling haha. Before I took my 4 month break from writing I knew I was eventually gonna come back to finish telling this story. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but the Ian and Mickey in this story have my whole heart and I need this story to be told so that we can all have closure together.

Chapter 7 will be posted THIS WEEK, I’m shooting for Wednesday or Thursday. Originally I was wanting to post Tuesday but my grandmother did end up passing away and her services are tomorrow. I am taking time to process and grieve, but I’m also still doing things to keep my mind going.

After chapter 7 there will be two more full chapters and an epilogue.

SPECIAL CHAPTER 7 SUMMARY: Ian and Mickey finally have the long-awaited coffee date! There is a lot of non-sexual intimacy and vulnerability in this chapter for both of our boys as they explore their newfound feelings and continue explore things together. A very little bit of spice. We come to learn about Mickey and his past as he opens up to Ian more about the things he went through as a teenager, the type of man his dad was and how he ended up becoming a therapist. There's a major misunderstanding between our boys that requires immediate resolution. We see meet new character and a familiar one. Ian goes home to have a heart-to-heart with Fiona. And Mickey is invited to an infamous Gallagher get together!!

Aaaaahhhh the pain of having to re-learn Elena again. She's such a joy to have around but man, after not having drawn her for so long it took me a bit to get her...even remotely right.

This chapter was intended to be longer, capping out at 6.7K when it was supposed to be around 11k.
