This is not at all a theory for Tears of The Kingdom, because I don't think it's at all plausible, but I do think it would be very fun as a what-if.

So, canonical information (or logical conjecture)

In BotW, Guardian Lasers basically obliterate what they hit.

Link was struck in the chest originally.

Some combination of the original wound and the Shrine of Resurrection left some sort of scar on Link's torso that is not obvious to the player or casual onlooker, but Robbie knows to look for it.

Link seems to be, despite everything, stronger in some ways post-reanimation- he is able to parry Guardian Lasers, his inability to do so in the past took him out. (for the purposes of this post I will not respect Age of Calamity. neener neener you're noncanonical)

Heartbeat motifs are increasingly obvious, especially in the trailers for Tears Of The Kingdom, and Ganondorf's actual true body is being held down by a hand clamped around where his heart should be. Calamity Ganon's incubation sack resembles a heart conspicuously.

The shrine of resurrection and Calamity Ganon's incubation sack strongly resemble each other.

Link, and Calamity Ganon, reemerged at the same time.

Now, on that last point, the implicit causation is pretty clear to us that Zelda held on as long as she possibly could while Link healed in suspension, and when her power weakened, with ClamGan surging, she had to wake Link up early, implicitly resulting in things like his disoriented memory and physical weakness. Because of our POV being limited to Link, we don't fully get that though; we can only observe Calamity Ganon active and dangerous after Link has been woken up. Others mention, IIRC, that things have been getting more dangerous for a while, but we don't know if what they saw is the same as what we are seeing now.

I propose a hypothesis:

What if the Shrine of Resurrection gave Link a heart transplant? It would likely be the heart and lungs that were the most damaged. But of course, it'd seem odd this shrine just, has a viable heart ready to go when it's an ancient thing not used in a long time.

Unless the Sheikah tech system stored throughout the land happened to have a heart that it had removed from someone, that would survive outside of its host?

Or to be more direct: What if the entire time in BotW, Link is running around with Ganondorf's heart inside his chest and he doesn't know, because the only external indication is a heart surgery scar from technology that almost nobody else in the setting would know to look for?

My theory on Miko’s apparent electrical powers, made into a 2-ish minute video.

I didn’t count a moment in Ping where Miko’s eyes spark after using a speed boost because it’s shown that the exact same thing happens to other characters after they use speed boosts.

I played the Ghostrunner 2 demo tonight and I couldn't stop thinking about how a (former) friend called the first game a "motion sickness simulator" because holy shit those motorcycle sections. You sure are speed Jack

you ever think about how mainstream gaming is the way it is bc it evolved from arcade games?

#like the focus on Skill(tm) that values reflexes/reaction time/competition/speed #obvs there's other influences too tho #like rpgs #and then there's a sorta parallel thing going on with early computer games (remember when Computer Games and Video Games were different?) #w people like cyan wanting to make 'video games for adults' lol like myst #and there's always been artsy games and stuff but mainstream-wise i just think sometimes about how like #strange (neutral) it is that you have this medium that's debatably art but also like. not always considered by players or devs to be art? #in a way that books and movies aren't /exactly/ altho there's comparisons to like blockbuster movies for sure #esp bc i think about how the people making a lot of mainstream games were guys who grew up in the 80s/90s and loved 80s action movies #and got to make worlds where you play as those action dudes #like obviously snake who's not even trying to not be snake plissken ghlskdjf #resident evil also obvs #or isaac being inspired by whatshisname in die hard #ther's an implicit power fantasy #but also it opens up interesting artistic/storytelling paths that other mediums can't explore as easily? #isaac is an interesting example of it imo bc of the tension between his ultra-masculine voice/hyper-competence/cool suit #and 1. the survival horror setting but also 2. the fact that he's actually incredibly brittle & the impression #of him we get is based on assumptions when really his independence/determination is a flaw & his 'togetherness' was a facade the whole time #ofc the way it gets expressed in ds2/3 feels like it's still limited by sexist ideas about what emotions men are allowed to express #and how imo #but idk i think it's interesting to play with that #and in an interactive setting you get to do that in a way that other media can't #but back to my original point lol #those are (imo) really interesting things that do get explored sometimes #but like gaming culture at large sometimes feels like it #explicitly rejects reading anything deeper into a game than 'hero shoot bad guy'? #and i feel like in part that comes from what players value and gaming culture puts Skill really high and can sometiems treat story/characte #like set dressing #(obvs there are exceptions) #(and it makes sense i mean. it's a Game it's supposed to be Fun To Play

I love the fact that sonic is just. allowed to compete in the Olympic Games. I’m so intrigued on the logistics of this. Are there any rules. Did they make rules to account for a blue hedgehog faster then the speed of sound? How is this possibly fair. Is he going easy on everybody else during the 100 mile? OR with like the sonic rivals games, where you race against Sonic’s friends. At least with the racing and rider games it makes sense, because he’s not actually running, but I digress.

As much as I love this I think it would be even funnier if he just wasn’t playable or allowed to participate at all. He’s just not allowed to because he would obviously win. He’s upset about this at first but then he accepts it and during every race he waves a green flag around like a madman.
