Person A was a mermaid and amateur actor, but was stuck being typecast because of their appearance, so decided to go to a sea witch to get their tail turned into legs, to open their career options, but found they can’t find a sea witch to do the spell because the practice has been made illegal, due to adverse and dangerous side effects. Person A finally found a sea witch who does the spell, but said they will only do it if Person A agreed to a spell of silence, where they will be unable to tell anyone they had the procedure or even that they were ever a mermaid. Person A agreed, but years later is married and pregnant. But their child ends up having very clearly mermaid traits in the ultrasound, which Person A manages to claim is just an err of the scan to their spouse. Person A, terrified of their lie getting discovered, seeks out the sea witch only to find they’ve passed away and their apprentice, Person B, was all they had left in way of family. Person A demands Person B take the child and help them fake a miscarriage and make them infertile - since the price of their secret ever getting out by any means, as decided by the sea witch, was death. Person B begrudgingly agrees to take their child if Person A pays them some form of under the table child support from their income as a popular actor and Person A agrees and also continues to visit to watch their child grow, without their child ever knowing Person A is their parent. But Person A starts to catch feelings for Person B and longing to be part of their child’s life, but knows their career would take a hit if they ruin their public image by divorce without a good excuse that also doesn’t risk killing them by expose their secret.

On this day, The Lamb declares a holy day. For a wedding, for a feast, and for a festival to celebrate the grand harvest.

Despite his initial reservations (and after a particularly horrid nightmare) Narinder decides to attend, if just to please the Lamb well enough that they'd leave him well enough alone after. That's the only reason, surely.

With followers intoxicated, the cult becomes a ground of wild party, and Gods are not immune to the temptation of overindulgence.

There's music, fighting, flirting, more fighting. There are shenanigans all evening; including but not limited to: uncomfortable socialization, reminiscing on one's past, impulsive decisions of the close-proximity sort, hide-and-seek games, and sparring with drunken, uncontrollable bloodlust that may or may not lead to a near-mental snap with eldritch power when you remember something you weren't supposed to.

Person A was a witch who was exhausted with everyone coming to see them so they turned themselves into a statue for a century to allow themself to get a much needed rest. When the villagers and nobles and various clients who had come to them over the years found they had been turned to stone, they assumed Person A had been cursed by some enemy or jealous rival, and rumors spread and grew. When they finally awaken from their statue slumber, they have to set the centuries worth of rumors straight.
